Our wedding DJ, Jai, was an absolute hit! He was fantastic to work with from our very first meeting; Jai took the time to understand our vision and the vibe we wanted for our wedding.
Jai went above and beyond to create a heartwarming memory. In last-minute preparation for the ceremony, our family collected audio recordings from both of our grandmothers who lived in different countries and couldn’t travel. Jai graciously worked to include their messages without any issue and maintained the surprise until the reveal.
Jai is not just a DJ; he's a true professional who knows how to read a crowd and create an unforgettable experience. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great the music was. He was a huge part of what made our wedding so perfect. We can't recommend him enough! -

We were originally assigned Steven and had booked him well in advance however the week of our wedding we were informed that Steven had a scheduling conflict and we were transferred to Walker. The wedding prep with Steven was really easy and he was just as easy going as we were. There is a timeline that you fill out on their portal that made songs easy. We were able to put start and stop times in songs for our processional and first dances. Now Walker was tossed into our wedding four days before. The professionalism that Walker displayed through the week and at our wedding was great. He meshed really well with the vibe we wanted. He really kept the party going at our short reception (2 hours). My friends and I danced solid to so many good songs. -

Working with Stumptown DJs for our wedding, and more specifically, Jai, was the best decision for our big day. We met multiple times with Jai before the day to discuss our vision and make sure we were on the same page throughout the entire planning process. He helped us make decisions when we got stuck (like on a father daughter dance song) and he reassured us that the night would go exactly how we wanted with his attention to details we hadn't even thought of. On the day of, he was the perfect MC, the mics had no issues and were perfectly clear, and he brought the dance floor to life with a mix of songs we requested, his additions, and a few crowd requests. Thank you so much Jai for helping to make our day one we'll never forget! -

DJ Katie was absolutely amazing to work with. She was so organized and met with us several times before the big day. She helped us not only curate our playlists, but also organize a timeline which really helped the wedding run smoothly. The songs that she added outside of our playlist perfectly matched our vibe. The dance floor was packed the whole night. She was highly professional and friendly and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Stumptown DJs and DJ Katie!!! -

Steven made our wedding a day we will never forget! He was incredibly professional, responsive, attentive, and charismatic. The entire event was perfect, Steven kept everything running smooth and the energy he brought to our reception was electric! We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests about Steven and the music. It was a pleasure and a genuine delight to have Steven as our DJ and the bubble guns he brought were a smash hit with the kids. We were lucky enough to get DJ Matt as our wedding DJ! From our first meeting with him, we knew he was going to do an excellent job. He genuinely cared about our music preferences and the kind of wedding we wanted to have. Matt and his admin staff were always quick to respond, usually within 24 hours, to any email or text. He had great suggestions for the flow of the wedding. On the day of, we didn't need to stress about a single thing because he kept our 171 person wedding moving extremely smoothly. Our friends did a silly bit with Shrek ears and DJ Matt even participated! He was truly excellent and we would hire him again. -

Had a good time with Walker at our wedding! Super personable, and the process leading up to it was pretty straightforward - setting up our playlists etc... on a website beforehand. Walker was friendly, open to anything we needed, and navigated our flow. Plus he came up clutch with a pen when we needed one! Didn't have to worry about it, which is a huge plus when figuring out your wedding!Stumptown DJs's reply:

DJ Avi was highly professional, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly and personable. The playlist was on point and they structured the night so well! They learned the names of the important people at our wedding and took care to pronounce names correctly. They talked to our guests and helped our night run smoothly! We truly would not have had such an amazing wedding without DJ Avi and Stumptown DJs! DJ Steven and Stumptown were excellent! DJ Steven, while being a Tier 2 DJ, was more like a Tier 10! We really wanted a fun and populated dancefloor at our wedding and DJ Steven delivered! He was great at reading the crowd and playing songs that got everyone on their feet. He also surprised us by bringing a bubble gun, lights, and a 360 cam. What was most spectacular was that DJ Steven also created a special mix for our first dance so that we could do a fun choreographed dance to it. Our guests absolutely loved it, and we couldn’t be more thankful to Steven for making it happen. He helped us select songs for all phases of the wedding and was able to really set the mood throughout the entire event. We received numerous compliments from guests about how the wedding was so upbeat and had an awesome party atmosphere; DJ Steven was a large part of that!
Stumptown and DJ Steven were very organized and all wedding details were easy to communicate via their portal. We asked a lot from them, and they definitely delivered an amazing event. Big thanks to DJ Steven and Stumptown DJ’s!

DJ Benni did the music for our wedding ceremony and he also DJ’d our wedding reception. He was great to work with leading up to the wedding day and also on the day itself. We had some calls to discuss specifics and musical preferences. We also booked the Photo Booth and some uplights from Stumptown which were both great. DJ Benni did an incredible job. All of my wedding guests were praising the music the next day at brunch. He absolutely killed it. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you DJ Benni! -

DJ Katie is the best! My wife and I are both very into music, so for us it was very important that the music at our wedding be perfect, and Katie absolutely delivered. I provided a sampling of songs for the cocktail hour, ceremony welcome, dinner, dancing, etc., and Katie did the rest! I can’t even tell you how many people complimented the music during our wedding, it really was just perfect.
Katie was also extremely professional and detail-oriented, nailing down all the semantics and specifics before the date to make sure everything went smoothly, which it did. I can’t say enough good things about Katie/Stumptown DJs in general, and highly recommend her and them for any event you have planned in the future. -

Stumptown was so easy to work with from the beginning and we selected DJ Katie as she seemed to really fit our vibe. As soon as we met her, we knew it was the right choice. She understood us and our intention for a cliche-free wedding perfectly. She took our playlist and built on it seamlessly, creating her own mashups (including such gems as 50 Cent/Toto and Black Sabbath/Ludacris!!). Everyone was dancing and raving about her, we didn't want the dance party to end! She was also incredibly organized, an amazing emcee and just overall delightful to work with. We need to throw another party ASAP so we can hire hire again!! -

DJ Ty was absolutely incredible. My husband and I had, quite literally, the best dance party of our lives. The dance floor was COMPLETELY PACKED the entire night, and it was so much fun. DJ Ty knew exactly what to play to get people out dancing and keep them on the floor. When the party was finally over, one of our guests actually yelled out loud, "But I don't want to go home yet!" We had a fantastic experience working with DJ Henry and Stumptown DJs. They were so helpful right from the start – their administration team was super organized and walked us through the planning process. It was so awesome knowing that we could customize our reception music as much as we wanted, but also could rely on the DJ’s experience to tastefully fill in the gaps where we didn’t have much of an opinion.
DJ Henry was awesome; we highly recommend working with him! He was super responsive as soon as Stumptown connected us and helped us create a reception we’ll never forget. On our wedding day he went above and beyond for us, setting up an extra speaker and navigating some unique logistical issues presented by our venue and the live musicians we had playing during the ceremony. DJ Henry was great about solving these issues on his own and working well with our wedding planner and venue staff. He had great timing for his announcements and did an excellent job helping our guests to transition between things on the schedule. At the end of our reception after the last song the crowd started chanting ‘One more song! One more song!’ – it was epic. Thank You DJ Henry!

Hiring DJ Benni as our wedding DJ was the best decision we made for our wedding! Benni was a game-changer for our special day! From the first consultation to monthly check-in’s, it was clear we were in expert hands. We shared our vision and DJ Benni shared his thoughts based on the weddings he has DJ for, and he saved us on making some big mistakes as we are new to this. His professionalism and attention to detail were impeccable. Benni let us customize as much or as little as we wanted and would constantly encourage us to do what we want and not cave to “wedding norms”. We ended up having a classical version of Lord of the Rings as the processional and Top Gun Theme song as the recessional, our dog was our flower girl, and DJ Benni rocked every step of the way!
We had a tool to help us build out the timeline/flow of our wedding from start to finish. This allowed our DJ to know exactly what to do, and when. And in the case of an emergency if our DJ couldn’t make it, a sub could step in and execute. Which allowed me (bride) and the groom to enjoy the evening and not think about logistics. DJ Benni was also very flexible and easily adjusted on the fly for a few things too. The dance floor was always full, and DJ Benni played banger after banger! He asked us to create and share a playlist with songs we wanted played, the more the merrier, and to note our top ten “must play” songs. From there, he was able to understand the vibe we wanted, and he found songs that we didn’t think of that were major hits! My shy 10-year-old cousin was dancing and having the time of his life, and DJ Benni gave him his contact info and told him to call if he ever wanted to DJ. My cousin was over the moon and had the time of his life.
DJ Benni also skillfully read the room, adjusting the music to keep the energy high throughout the night. The sound quality was top-notch, and the equipment setup was sleek and unobtrusive. They also provided excellent MC services, making smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and dancing. His enthusiasm and charisma added an extra layer of excitement, making our wedding reception unforgettable. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the fantastic music and vibrant atmosphere. If you want a memorable wedding celebration, hiring DJ Benni is a must!

We couldn't have gotten luckier when we stumbled upon Stumptown DJs! After some research on their website, we knew we had to work with DJ Benni. Benni went above and beyond, accommodated live performances, worked with our custom tracks and very specific playlist requests. He kept in constant communication with us, having check-in calls every month leading up to the big day. He was enthusiastic, friendly, reassuring, and incredibly knowledgable. All of our guests had a blast on the dance floor and raved about the DJ of the night! Benni was also a wonderful full event emcee and ensured that the timeline flowed seamlessly, even when we ran over, and made sure that we didn't feel any stress as the bride & groom. DJ Katie was amazing to work with for our wedding. The Stumptown DJs database and timeline website was so organized, easy to use, and made planning with Katie such a breeze in the midst of all the madness of wedding planning. Katie hopped on a call with us several times to make sure everything was perfect, and she had our timeline down to a T on the day of the event. Our venue – Nordic Northwest – had two outside areas for the ceremony and cocktail hour as well as an indoor reception space, and Katie was there early to get everything set up and sound checked ahead of time. She was so fun to work with, and did a fantastic job making announcements throughout the reception and when we had to make some last minute changes to our Grand Exit plan. We looked at so many DJ options when we were initially planning, and I cannot recommend Stumptown and DJ Katie enough for a wedding. If you want clear communication, a great online portal for planning, and professional, fun, awesome DJs, look no further. -

I can't say enough about our positive experience with Stumptown DJ's. My husband and I got married at Tin Roof Barn this September and DJ Steven CAME THROUGH!! Every single person that was at the wedding was out on the dance floor singing and dancing to EVERY SINGLE SONG Steven played. We even had a rouge guest look like they were going to try to give a speech and Steven was eyeing him and making sure if he needed to cut the mic he would. Steven is extremely friendly and the most easy vendor to work with. He made our vision of a crazy fun dance floor come alive. I will never forget this night with everyone singing in our prop microphones and it's all thanks to Steven. Can't say thank you enough. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Stumptown DJ's and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend DJ Steven. -

DJ Denis was the wedding DJ dreams are made of. He thoughtfully listened, helped us plan and went absolutely above and beyond to make our wedding everything we hoped it could be. We worked out cues for quirky parts of our ceremony, and he nailed everything, every time. We most sincerely appreciated his gentle encouragment to make this day about what we wanted, not what was expected. We asked for pretty outside dancing for the early part of the evening, and crazy house party vibes inside at the end of the night, and he BROUGHT THE VIBES. DJ Steven was everything I could have asked for, and then some. Not only did he play all the music I requested, none of the music I didn't want, he set everything up just days before the big event and made it so easy for me because I was super overwhelmed with planning. He made a TikTok of our ceremony, stayed long after he was scheduled because he said he saw how much fun we were having and felt like we deserved more time to dance, signed our guest book, and wore an incredible unicorn shirt! I wish I could married again and dance the night away to Steven's tunes. 10/10 -

We met with DJ Casey when we first interviewed Stumptown, and we loved the vibe. We knew we wanted a disco sound, and DJ Casey's sample was the best we listened to on the website. It met our vibe requirements; he was great and easy to work with. The online timeline and playlists were easy to manage, but it was a lot of information to go through. The day was great. DJ Casey kept the music groovy, and the dance floor was popping. -

I highly recommend Stumptown DJs and DJ Benni! From the start it was clear that they are a step above the rest! From the initial inquiry phone call, to creating playlists on their online database, to the final check in with both Matt (owner) and Benni (DJ), the experience was organized, thorough, and fun! Benni set up and managed 3 different sound systems throughout the evening. He kept the dance floor packed for several hours! He also helped us stick to our timeline throughout the event. After my wedding, several guests told me, “I didn’t want the dancing to end!” and “DJ Benni was one of the best DJs I’ve seen at a wedding!” I could not have asked for a better experience or DJ! -

Ty stepped in when our original DJ had an emergency two days before our wedding, and was professional and kind right off the bat. He called us to go over questions, get our lists of important songs, and even cut down our first dance at a weird section for us so we could have the second half of the song. We got SO many compliments on the music, but it was all Ty- he kept the dance floor popping all night, and even though we unhelpfully did not give him a last song suggestion or a cake cutting selection, his choices were so spot-on we had multiple family members sure we had planned it because the songs were both meaningful to us. We would 100% recommend Stumptown DJs and Ty, and are so thankful to him for saving the day. -

I can't even begin to describe the experience we had with Stumptown DJs, and Jai specifically. The company was so easy to work with and helped us every step of the way, but Jai is the star! He was so amazing to work with. He has such a great personality and we always seemed to be in step. We had enough check-ins that we felt completely comfortable and had total trust in him. We essentially sent him a spotify playlist to work from, so he could get our vibe, and then just asked him to run with it. The day of the wedding everything was fantastic. He made the whole event go so smoothly and really helped keep the timeline moving along. He knew just what music to play (and to not play!) He is warm and friendly and it was a joy to work with him. If I ever need a DJ for anything else, there is no question I would pick Jai! He truly is a gem! -

We had an indoor and outdoor wedding, and both were bumpin with tunes. The mics worked perfectly(!) for us and our officiant as well.

We hired Matt for our wedding at the Abernathy Center in Oregon City. Stumptown DJs was a preferred vendor on their list, so I was already confident in their work. This was my first experience hiring a DJ, and it certainly set the bar high! Matt and his assistant Serafina were very professional and fun to work with. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease, and even had a really neat website for us to use to request songs, set up our timeline, etc. Matt was even able to recommend a florist and hairstylist for me after I had a hard time finding them, and they worked out great! Very happy we went with Stumptown! -

We are so happy we booked DJ Katie with Stumptown DJs! We had a somewhat non-traditional wedding, and we wanted to keep things lively and fun. We gave our DJ an outline of what we wanted to hear, but at the same time gave her the opportunity to read the crowd, and play what she thought would be the most appropriate for different times of the evening. In short, we let her just do her thing, with some specific songs / tracks to be played at certain times. She did a phenomenal job. Everything was spot on, and really helped make our day a truly magical experience. Would highly revommend. 😎 -

DJ Drew was absolutely amazing for my wedding. He played from our playlists but also added in great music based on our preferences. He also was an incredible MC and helped our event moving. Drew was also very flexible, I had a last minute (day of!) music change for the wedding party to walk down and he accommodate my request no problem. Stumptown DJs was great to work with, picking our playlist was such an easy process. Would highly recommend Stumptown and DJ Drew! -

DJ Omar knew exactly how to blend Spanish and English music so that everyone at our wedding was happy and dancing the whole time! Stumptown DJs was a great choice for our wedding. The staff were very quick to respond, helpful, and clear about pricing. The staff were very detailed about what the DJ would need so all the expectations were set. We chose DJ Omar for our wedding and we are so glad we chose him! DJ Omar really listened to our music preferences and did a great job making sure people were dancing and enjoying themselves. We didn’t want a DJ who would be on the mic a lot during the night and he balanced the need for announcements with letting the music speak for itself perfectly. Highly recommend! -

I cannot say enough good things about Casey! Casey was our DJ for our September 2021 wedding at the Sentinel. Although I didn't spend a ton of time with Casey as compared to my other vendors, he was one of my favorites to work with. He is the ultimate professional--super communicative, knows exactly how to organize the evening, has great suggestions, and keeps the music going. We had a really diverse crowd with different music tastes. Our guests had an awesome time and the dance floor was always full! THANK YOU for doing such a wonderful job! -

Stumptown DJs was easy to work with and was flexible as we had to reschedule twice due to COVID. They do a great job of reviewing the wedding day timeline ahead of time and making suggestions.
DJ Drew was absolutely wonderful for ceremony, dinner, and dancing music. He took our suggestions and ran with them, was very respectful and professional all day, and periodically checked in with us during the reception to make sure we didn't need anything else from him. Multiple wedding guests told us he was the best wedding DJ they'd ever heard! -

The service was extremely professional. We met with DJ Yusef twice before the event so that he was able to get an idea of the vibe we were going for. He understood it completely and absolutely nailed it. He was flexible to the small changes we made day of. We were able to give as much or as little input into the playlists, and he took into consideration the feel we wanted as the evening progressed. He played excellent music and got everyone to the dancefloor for a dance party that lasted until the end of the night. The range of music was great and included some really thoughtful choices. We both love music and have quite a range of genres and artists we enjoy. This definitely did not feel like a party in a can, and was personal to our taste. DJ Yusef was truly a dream to work with, very easy going and professional, and a terrific addition to the event. -

I cannot express how amazing Stumptown DJs is! We hired them for our wedding and selected DJ Jai as our DJ. If Jai is available BOOK HIM! When I look back at all of our vendors, Jai was probably one of the most influential vendors in making our day perfect. I cannot even begin to explain how important a good DJ is. The entire day flowed so perfectly - from ceremony to cocktail hour, from cocktail hour to dinner, etc. Jai was able to read the room and make sure that people were enjoying the music he was playing. At one point during the dancing, Jai played a song that was on my playlist, but even I could tell the guests weren't feeling it, so he faded it out and started playing Party in the USA. The crowd went wild. The dancing continued until the venue kicked us out. He's a professional for a reason, and I promise when I say Jai and Stumptown DJs are the BEST in the biz. -

We had a fantastic experience with DJ Katie at our wedding. She is easy to work with and pays careful attention to detail. She tolerated our many COVID-related changes with grace, and was so fun to chat with and make our playlists together.

The entire process from booking to the wedding preparation conversations were smooth and enjoyable. As far as the music goes DJ Drew couldn’t have been a better pick. I can’t say enough about how talented Drew is. Drew didn’t just mixed the end and the beginning of a track together, he scratched, mixed and blended tracks throughout the whole 5 hour set. Our friends and family were dancing about the entire reception. I could recommend Drew enough. He’s got a great Tate in music that really complimented what we requested. Everything he filled in the time with showed his attention to our music tastes and his own background and knowledge. We considered making a playlist and pressing play but can’t emphasize enough that Drew is the way to go. If we ever throw another party or event we know who’s bringing the jams. Book Drew… you will not regret it!
