Highly recommend Kara!
It was such a pleasure to work with Kara Hess! I chose Kara as the MUA for my wedding after seeing the beautiful and natural work that she does. As a bride that does not wear makeup, ever, it was really important for me to look and feel myself. I wanted my features to be enhanced without truly altering my appearance, and most importantly, did not want to feel cakey. Kara nailed it! I loved the way I looked and felt all day long. My bridal party and the mothers also raved about her style and service. I highly recommend working with Kara for your wedding too! -

Love LOVE Kate and her team
I cannot thank Kate and her team enough for the amount of compassion and flexibility when it came to our originally scheduled 4/4/20 wedding. Rescheduling for July and then finally celebrating in October, Kate was able to accommodate every time! First off, Kate and her team's work is beautiful. I'm not a fan of heavy makeup and what I got was far from a heavy look! My look was completely natural, but elevated! The airbrush and mink lashes are a must! I would say the same for all the ladies that got their makeup and hair done. Second, Kate and her team are fun! I honestly felt like they were part of our crew! I was so impressed with Studio 8 that when I'm in town, I plan to visit for non bridal services :) -

Love love loved my hair
Kate and her staff were absolutely amazing!! I loved my hair and makeup so much and could not have asked for it to be any better! Kate worked with me to make sure all 7 of my bridesmaids, and 3 mother getting their hair and makeup would be done in time to not mess up our timeline. Our photographer was amazed when she finished perfectly on time! I HIGHLY recommend Studio 8 for your wedding hair and makeup! -

Kate and Jane did our hair and makeup for my wedding and I cannot say enough good things about both of them! Not only do they do some amazingly creative hairstyles and beautiful makeup, but they are both so fun to hang out when getting ready! Studio 8 is super responsive, super knowledgeable, and very organized. Highly recommend! -

Absolute pleasure!!!!
Kate and her mom worked with me for my wedding hair/makeup and that of my 5 bridesmaids. I cannot say enough good things about the two of them. It immediately felt like we were hanging out with old friends. Their relaxed, comforting style was the best possible atmosphere I could have wished for on my wedding day. Kate did my hair and makeup and is an absolute genius at what she does. I had so many compliments on my hair all night and my makeup was so freaking flawless -- even standing up to the incredible humidity and 90+ degree weather during our outdoor August wedding. I was so paranoid that my face was dripping off but everyone assured me that I looked perfect!!! What a miracle!! THANK YOU SO MUCH KATE!!! I love you guys!!! :) -

Katie and Jane are the best duo!! I have been a client of theirs for over 3 years now and they have turned into great friends! They recently styled me and my bridal party for my wedding in October. They exceeded every expectation that I had and made me feel comfortable the entire morning. They are so fun to be around and will go out of their way to make you happy and feeling beautiful. Katie even ran out right before my first look to double check my hair and makeup before getting photos taken!
Not only would I recommend them for weddings, but I would also recommend any of their other services!! -

These two ladies are so friendly and easy to talk to. They did all of the makeup and hair for the women in the bridal party at my son's wedding. We all looked beautiful! The airbrush makeup is the way to go! It was unusually hot on the day of the wedding, but our makeup and hairstyles stayed gorgeous despite the sweating!! I loved them both, and would highly recommend them for any ocassion you want to lok beautiful for hours and hours, even in hot humid weather! Thank you again ladies!!! From the other of the groom. -

Kate and Jane did hair and make up for my wedding day. They were able to accommodate myself, my girls, the MOB and the MOG, and the flower girls. Kate did an absolutely amazing job on my hair and make up. I got my make up air brushed because my wedding day was very hot and humid and all outside. After a night full of dancing, my makeup and hair looked just as good as when I walked down the isle....many guests told me this. Jane did an awesome job applying make up to all my girls....we all felt so beautiful! Thanks Kate and Jane! -

I was part of a bridal party and Kate and Jan did the hair and makeup for all of us. Everything was so perfectly done. They were so much fun to work with and sere more than happy to do touch ups after we had to take pictures out in the sticky 110 degree heat and humidity! Lol. Loved them and would recommend them to anybody. -

I am thrilled that I was able to work with Kate and Jane for hair and make-up for my wedding in Elizabethtown, PA in July 2016! My now-husband and I planned our wedding long distance, and finding hair and make-up stylists was a daunting task. My wedding planner recommended Kate and Jane, and I am very grateful that she did! Kate was very professional, kind, and a great listener during my hair and make-up trial. On the wedding day, Kate, Jane, and one of their lovely assistants traveled to our venue and completed a combination of up-dos, curls only, airbrush make-up, and traditional make-up for myself, bridesmaids, and a number of relatives (9 women total). They kept us on time, were happy to indulge the photographers and videographer to get the perfect "getting ready" shots, and helped create a relaxing environment for our morning. On top of the wonderful service, the prices were very reasonable (based on my comparison shopping at the beginning)! Overall, I highly recommend Kate and Jane as beauty stylists for weddings and any other events! -

Katie and her mother provided air-brushed make-up for the bride and myself (MOB) and hair for four of us. They were timely, and yet we did not feel in the least bit rushed. They are true professionals and enjoyed our experience. They are in a new shop which is just beautiful and very comfortable. I highly recommend them both and if I lived in the area, I would be a regular. -

Jane and Kate are a great mother/daughter team. I had a great time with them having my trial hair and make-up done. They listened to my wants and needs, reviewed my inspiration photos, and took their time in creating my bridal look. I was so incredibly impressed with the final results of my trial, I could not wait for my wedding day. When they spun me around to look in the mirror, I sincerely thought I looked like a model! I thought I looked gorgeous!
The week of the wedding I went to Jane and had the Lash beLong Individual Eyelash Extensions put on. Jane was so careful and the results were phenomenal! Some of the lashes are STILL hanging on after four weeks! I also had a bikini wax and had positive results.
The day of the wedding Jane and Kate arrived early with their assistant to do; the bride, 3 bridesmaids, groom's mother, 2 groom's sisters, and an aunt (8 total). They had the bride and bridesmaids done in time for us to leave for our photos, and then did the rest of the ladies. Everyone looked beautiful for the whole day. The bride and bridesmaid's had the airbrush makeup done and it lasted all day.
Jane and Kate were truly wonderful to work with and their talent showed. They were worth every penny, and I am so glad that I booked them for my wedding day! They are the sweetest ladies, and I recommend them for any bride-to-be for her wedding day. -

Jane did airbrush makeup for my wedding and was AMAZING. I had 8 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and myself and she did us with ease. Perfect match to skin tone, we looked flawless all night. I had people at the END of my reception after hours of dancing tell me how perfect my face still looked. And she is sweet, fun, honest and professional. Jane treated us like princesses. I wish i could look like that every day! -

I would HIGHLY recommend going to these ladies. My mom and I have been going to Jane for waxing for years now and will continue. You are always greeted with a smile and a pain free experience. Trust me, i'm a wuss when it comes to pain but happily go to Jane in a heart beat, and no one else.
Jane and Katie also did make-up for my bridal party and myself for my wedding. Could not have been happier with the results. Their ulimate goal is to make you the bride happy and give you what you want. If you are not happy at the time of the trial, Katie will happily work with you. I was not the type of person who wears make-up on a daily basis and didn't want anything overly dramatic, she worked with me to make sure it was in my comfort zone and I was very happy with the results.
I cannot stress how flexible they, sweet and genuine. I would recommend this team in a heartbeat for your wedding. I promise you won't regret it.

If you want to look and feel like a princess, you need Jane Witmer at your side on your wedding day. The epitome of professionalism, Jane combines her skills and expertise to make every member of your bridal party feel their best. My mom and I visited Jane a week prior to my wedding day for a trial and I knew immediately that she was going to be a fast friend. I felt comfortable and in good hands. She explains each step of the process and her airbrush skills create a FLAWLESS complexion. The trial is 100% worth it--my mom and I felt so glamorous! On the wedding day, Jane drove to the hotel suite where we were getting ready, worked around our time constraints and made both my mom and I feel so special. If you're comfortable doing it, I would highly recommend getting the fake eyelashes. They don't look cheap or fake--they make your eyes pop in every photo! I got so many compliments on my makeup and honestly--I wish Jane could move in with me to make me feel that pretty every day.
Aside from my makeup, I visited Jane for my first ever Brazilian wax. I think saying I was nervous would be an understatement. Jane made me feel at ease and was 100% professional. She uses a hard wax and I left completely clean and not sticky or messy. While it does hurt in process, the whole wax lasts only about 15 minutes and is more than worth it, especially if you're headed somewhere warm on your honeymoon! -

Kate, Jane, and their team provided absolutely excellent service on my wedding day. Kate handled all of my hair and makeup and I looked ridiculously amazing. I had so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day, and my hubs even said that it was the prettiest he's ever seen me. Every girl should feel gorgeous on their wedding day and Kate and Jane can definitely make that happen! We had a huge party of around 20 people getting hair and/or makeup, and they swooped in with their team and got it all done with time to spare. Everyone looked amazing. Kate was easy to communicate with on the days leading up to my wedding and was so easy going. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely switch salons to use them all the time! My guests and I highly recommend them! -

Jane did the make-up for myself, my mom, and my sister the maid-of-honor. She answered all of my questions up-front, and is so easy to work with and very accommodating. I chose air-brush, and am so happy with my choice, as Jane made me look flawless and perfect for my special day and wedding pictures. I was so nervous because I never wear make-up, but she made me feel at ease, and she did a beautiful job on all of us- we looked gorgeous and full of confidence! I also did a few facials before the wedding, and I definitely recommend them as they really did help to prepare my skin to look great for the wedding. After the trial make-up, Jane really worked with me to figure out the best approach to make everything perfect on the day. Thanks Jane! -

Kate and Jane provided their wonderful talents to make my wedding day truly a dream come true! Myself, 5 bridesmaids and my mother all had our make up done by them. We all chose the airbrush make up. It was AMAZING and lasted he entire night. I did not wash my face until around 2am (make up was done around 10am) and it still looked flawless. I saw pictures and some video from the wedding and could no be happier with the way they made me look and feel! Kate and Jane are so friendly and make you feel like part of their family. I had a consultation with Kate in December to decide what I wanted to do about make up for my wedding and immediately knew I needed her to be part of that day! Oh My Goodness!!!! Jane did amazing make-up for myself and bridesmaids for my wedding on 11/16/13. We had a lot of phone tag in the beginning due to Jane traveling but she was awesome at returning all my calls. Her prices were right on mark with my budget. I didn't do a full make-up trial before hand but I did have an appointment to color match for airbrush. On the day of the wedding she came to my house and I trusted her completely to work her magic. She set up quickly and quietly (since I still had a bridesmaid sleeping on the couch from the night before) She did a phenomenal job working with and around my hair girl. I was worried about starting the make up so early but it seriously lasted flawlessly ALL DAY LONG. Jane also helped me pick some eye lash enhancers since my lashes were already pretty long and curly. They stayed until the next morning when I was finally ready to not be a bride anymore! The airbrush felt and looked awesome. It is very light and very natural looking for me especially since I don't wear a lot of make up on an every day basis. I would recommend her to anyone and I'm looking forward to trying out some of her other services. She is very knowledgeable in her craft and her personalitly makes you feel even more satisfied. -

Jane is AWESOME!! I am not a fan of having others do my makeup but she made me feel so comfortable during my trial makeup application. She asked me what I do on a daily basis and simply kicked it up a notch for my wedding day. She made me feel glamorous and my entire bridal party was extremely happy with their makeup application from the Mothers down to the flower girls. I would highly recommend Jane for your upcoming wedding! She is such a pleasure to have around on your wedding day - cool, calm, and collected. You can't go wrong! -

Jane is professional, extremely skilled and so easy to work with. I was nervous getting waxed the first time, but she was so accommodating and really knows how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed despite the circumstances. Her studio is clean, she is clearly hygienic and makes sure to let you know all the steps so you aren't confused or surprised. My results were great, though didn't last nearly as long as I'd hoped, but everyone is different and this has no reflection on her services. Would highly recommend Jane to anyone, and would also highly recommend Brazilians to anyone! -

Jane was amazing! I met with her to do a trial and she was so flexible in the work that she did. She was so responsive to the look I was going for. I trusted her from the minute I met her. The airbrush makeup she did was superb. It felt so flawless on my wedding day and even through tears, it didn't run one bit! I did not feel or look overdone, which was my main goal. She also did all of my bridesmaids makeup and they turned out fabulous. She is reasonably priced and so outgoing. I could sit and talk to her for hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! You will not regret it. -

Jane did the makeup for me (bride), my 5 bridesmaids, and my mom. Everyone looked natural, but beautiful and flawless. The makeup was light and stayed put all day, even though she started our makeup at 9:30 for a 4pm ceremony. Jane was a pleasure to communicate and work with. Prices are cheaper than other places I searched, and the quality is great! -

Jane did the most amazing job on my makeup and lashes for my wedding day. I got married on the HOTTEST day of the summer it ended up being 110 degrees that day and my makeup held up and you would have never even known i was sweating to death! She is so very talented!

Jane Witmer was referred to me by my wedding planner for my wedding makeup. I met Jane once just to meet her and then had a trial make up run with her about a month before the wedding. Jane is incredibly good at what she does, and loves her job. I wasn’t very picky about my makeup and I trusted Jane as she is an expert.
On the morning of the wedding Jane drove to my house in Ephrata. She came early so she could set up. Jane is a perfectionist and is not done until she is 110% satisfied. She was only doing my makeup but chatted with my mom and bridesmaids and gave the bridesmaids some help with face prep. Jane prepped my face and then did the makeup like we did on our trial run.
The makeup was great. It felt very light. I did feel overly made up, but that’s because I so rarely wear makeup! It stayed on all night and looked absolutely flawless in the pictures. I wish Jane could come to me every day and do my makeup!

I adore Jane Witmer of "Eliza" by Lancaster Wax Queen. Since I am a wedding planner myself, I know the importance of picking great wedding professionals for a wedding. Our wedding was an old hollywood theme and Jane went above and beyond with the make-up. She created classic pin-up type make-up (false eyelashes, red lipstick, and all) for myself and my bridesmaids. She traveled to the site of our wedding and stayed until she felt everything was perfect. We received compliments all day on how great our make-up looked. Also, I would also just like to comment on how personable and fun she is. If you are looking for a great make-up artist, Jane is your girl! -

My sister (MOH) and I had a consultation with Jane in the summer and we hit it off right away. She was so much fun and she worked wonders with the make-up. I then hired her for my wedding. Jane is heaven sent! I had many services from Jane ( as you brides know, the waxing, the facials, the makeup advice...all the things we go through to look our best!! ). Each and every service was amazing. She is very courteous, very sanitary and knowledgeable. She is also, and probably the quality which I appreciate most, honest. She isn't there to steal your budget away, she is honestly there to help you look and feel your best. Kate and Jane from Studio 8 did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and 4 bridesmaids. We were all very happy with their service. Kate was super helpful leading up to the wedding, and was flexible with some last minute changes I had to make. She e-mailed me a schedule the week before the wedding, which was really helpful to keep me and my girls organized the day of. They showed up to the venue prepared and kept everyone on time. Plus, they were fun to hang out with during a time that can get pretty crazy. You will have to pay full price for hair and makeup trials, not sure if that's any different from other salons. I opted to just do a makeup trial, not hair. Overall, they were great! Lots of other reviews for them under Lancaster Wax Queen & Kate Lucas Beauty. -
