Gorgeous photos!!

We booked Alysia from Studio 2 Imaging for our wedding on 2/22/2020 and she nailed it!! After our first meeting I knew she was going to be awesome to work with - she is friendly, personable, and so so easy to talk to. Upon my request, we met in person several times to discuss any concerns or anxieties that I had. On one occasion we met and scrolled through tons of photos so I could point out what I liked and didn’t like which made me feel confident that we were on the same page. On another occasion we met and discussed all of the combinations of photos I wanted - for example; a first look with my dad, individual photos of me and each of my siblings, family photos, bridal party photos, couple photos etc. After each meeting I left feeling relieved - she was always very understanding of my feelings and constantly assured me that we were going to capture some beautiful photos, and she was right! On the day of the wedding she was timely and professional and brought an assistant to help capture some photos of the guys getting ready while she was with the girls. We only planned for an hour and a half of photos after the ceremony between the reception and it proved to be plenty of time thanks to Alysia. She does not mess around when it comes to taking photos and runs it like a well oiled machine. She gives great direction and made sure we stuck to our timeline while still capturing all of our photo combinations. The package we chose included the most beautiful photo album as well as two smaller albums for our parents. We customized them and gave them as gifts for Christmas and they were such a hit. My brother-in-law and his fiancé were so impressed with our photos that they chose to hire Alysia for their wedding this September. I think that’s the best compliment ever. I can’t speak more highly of Alysia - she ends up feeling more like your friend rather than a hired photographer. She was always kind, understanding, responsive, and flexible. I am so grateful to her for capturing the most beautiful photos that will always remind us of so many priceless memories. I forgot to mention that our package also included engagement photos which we loved! It was also a great way to get to know each other and get some “practice” photos in before the big day!

We also booked Eddie as our videographer. I had a specific vision in mind when in came to our wedding highlight video and Eddie was more than willing to work with me to make that happen. I sent him a wedding video that I really loved and requested that he shoot and edit ours in a similar way. I was extremely impressed with the final product! It was exactly what we wanted. What we requested was definitely different than some of the sample videos I had seen on the website which speaks to Eddie’s skill and adaptability. He listened to our request and made it happen!

Great wedding experience!

Jack was the photographer for our wedding this past month, and there are not enough nice things we could say about him. For starters, he took the train out to the west loop (where we live) to meet us the first time just to discuss everything his company has to offer. After meeting with him, we immediately knew he was our guy. While he is artsy (in the great photographer kind of way), he is also very type A and had a great plan/vision for exactly the pictures we were wanting.

Then, he comes to meet us for a 'get to know you' photo shoot, just because he wants us to feel comfortable working with him on our wedding day (this is included in their already low prices). We ended up spending over 3 hours going to each spot around the city that we wanted to take pics of on our wedding day. I cannot stress how much of a difference it made on our wedding day to already know the plan, where we were shooting, and what he was looking for.

As for the all important wedding day, Jack was always in the right place at the right time. We took the wedding party out on a trolley for pics around the city- Jack knew exactly which route the trolley should take, where the trolley should park, etc. His experience was a huge part of the day going so smoothly. Also, he was the perfect mix of instructive (to make sure the group stayed on task and got the desired pics done) and receptive (my wife decided she wanted one different location on the day of the wedding and he already knew the best place/angles to shoot it and how to get in and out without the hassle).

Fast forward to a few weeks after the wedding, and we are in love with the pictures he took. He really captured the feel of Chicago while highlighting us and our friends/family. We could not have been happier with the product we received and the personal touch he shared...not to mention the amazing value!!!

We were thrilled to have Studio 2 Photography be part of our wedding. They are an amazing Studio. We were beyond pleased with our wedding photographs and have received countless compliments from friends and family on such gorgeous pictures from our wedding day. The Photographer could not have been easier to work with, more flexible or more accomodating to our Guests. He was extremely kind, very professional and patient. The quality of our photos is some of the highest and most beautiful I have ever seen. There was a perfect balance between candid, artistic and traditional shots. He made us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. They listened intently and took notes on everything and everyone we wanted photographed and paid close attention to all our preferences. When we viewed our images for the first time, we realized they gave us every moment, every person we had requested and MORE. Both our Families loved working with our Photographer. We will be using Studio 2 Photography for weddings/Births/Family portraits for many years to come!

Studio 2 Photography is exceptional! They were referred to me by my best friend who used them at her Wedding 2 years ago. From the moment my Fiance and I contacted Studio 2 for a consultation appointment, to seeing the final images of our Wedding Day, everything about the Studio has been awesome. When we arrived at their Studio for the first time, the owner himself sat down with us and took the time to chat with us, listened to what we needed on that day and what was important to us about our day as it related to the photography. Some time later he showed us the different styles they offered. He was very encouraging, did not pressure us at all, and was very frank about their services, costs and what we would be receiving as our finished product.

On the Wedding day our Photographer was relaxed, professional and helped keep everyone laughing and natural. He was very creative but also took our ideas to heart and ran with them. His professionalism and creative eye were just what I was hoping for in a Wedding Photographer. He definately went with the flow and found interesting shots where ever we were. We took some outdoor photos in Downtown Chicago, and the ideas he had turned out really cool! He truly captured the excitment and joy this day was for us. He was awesome. WE LOVE THESE GUYS :) !!

Studio 2 Photography did an amazing job of capturing the excitment and the special moments of our day. Our photographer did not miss a single moment! He helped to keep our day stress free. He was very patient with everyone especially the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer who just wanted to run around and be silly! He made everyone in our Bridal Party completely comfortable, especially me :). All I had to do was show up and look my best, he did the rest. He was easy going but knew exactly what he was doing our entire day. He helped plan out the day's timing (which was a great relief for me). He was even able to get my Fiance/Husband to crack a smile and show his pearly whites! I could not have asked for a better experience and the work is BREATH TAKING!! We'll be seeing Studio 2 when it's time for baby pictures :). Thank you.

Our pictures are absolutely amazing. Studio 2 Photography did a great job! I loved the picture through our Cake Topper with us kissing in the background. It was very cool! They caught everything perfectly and managed to capture all of the special ones I wanted also! We appreciated their flexibility as unexpected things came up throughout the day. I can't put enough words in this review to say how happy we are that we had Studio 2 capturing our day with photos. Everything was done so professionally. Brian and I thank you so much.

Stephanie did a great job on our engagement photo session and wedding day. Everyone at Studio 2 was helpful and approachable during our entire engagement up through our wedding day. We chose Studio 2 from the list of vendors Old St. Patrick's Church provided and do not regret that decision. We are very excited about all of the photos, video and photo booth shots from our big day. We had a big bridal party and Stephanie was able to rally everyone together to take some great shots. We would definitely recommend Studio 2 to others for their wedding or any other special moment.

The actual photographer was a little weird, but he worked with us on our tight budget. He even stayed longer that we paid him for. The pictures came out great and even though he was a little odd, I would recomend them.

My husband and I utilized Studio 2 Imaging for our wedding photography and we were so pleased with the service we received as well as the results. Studio 2 Imaging was one of the studios that was provided to us by our church and after meeting with a number of them we decided to choose Studio 2. They had many flexible packages and were very reasonable in terms of cost and pricing options for the various packages. The one thing I really appreciated was that their packages did not have any upfront requirements such as having to purchase a wedding album or other requirements. Many photography companies require you to have 2 photographers or purchase an album before your photos even come back. Studio 2 offered a great package for 10 hours of photography with 1 photographer that you can hand select as well as a free engagement session and then an additional upgrade that would be included such as parent companion albums or rehearsal dinner photography.

I found that offering a free engagement session was something that was hard to find with wedding photography companies so I was so pleased to see they provided this in their packages for no extra charge. The engagement session gave us a chance to learn about ourselves and the photographer too so we were comfortable on the wedding day.

We used Alysia Mattea and she was absolutely fabulous! On the day of the wedding I didn't even feel like she was there which in my opinion is the sign of a great photographer. She acted almost as part wedding day of planner in helping us make sure we stayed on track in terms of timing and captured all the special moments along the way.

I would highly encourage you to consider using Studio 2 Imaging and to work with Alysia for your wedding photography.

Jack and Alysia were our wedding day and engagement shoot photographers. They were friendly and responsive throughout the planning process and captured some really great shots on the day of. We also loved the photo products that came with our package. We chose a wedding day photo for our thank you cards and picked a favorite for a beautiful, art show-ready gallery wrap. It took some time to receive the digital copies of our photos after that, but we are happy with the quality and number of shots we will keep forever! They also accommodated our personal request to remake a favorite photo of POTUS and FLOTUS. It came out great. There were a few things that were less than perfect: Jack was a bit gruff with the groom's party during our prep photos and a bit forward about sitting with our guests at the reception rather than with the other vendors. All in all, both Jack and Alysia were professional and competent photographers who have given us beautiful photos of our wedding day. Thank you!

Jack was awesome! From the time we met with him, he always made himself available to us. Only complaint is that I wish our day of photographer was a little more creative with her shots.

I will NEVER recommend using this company at all. I have had nothing but issues with them. I'm close to my 6 month anniversary of being married and every product that I have received from them has my last name spelled incorrectly, and my "Pictures in Motion" DVD was done in very poor quality. They never consult you on what photos you would like printed on your DVD's and it takes you FOREVER to receive your products that you've paid for upfront. The service is nothing like what I paid for. It is absolutely discusting service! And the fact that the owner does not take responsibility for his employee's actions is unacceptable. Do not ever use this photography company! You will not be happy with what you get.

All around a total disappointment. My first meeting with the photographer went really well; both my husband and I were really excited. Then everything went wrong. First I emailed the photographer about a week before the wedding with a list of must take photos, names of everyone in the wedding, etc. I even received a very nice thank you saying its perfect.

Then the day before the wedding, I receive a call from the photographer telling me that since I never provided him with that information, he needs it now. I was so upset. So over the phone I told him everything again. Then the day of the wedding the photographer is calling my father in law John by the name Don, a groomsmen Damian is now being called Jamie, and the photographer even had words with me because he was so sure that the best man was my brother not my husband’s. I think as the bride I know who everyone is related to. But the photographer was so rude and could not admit that he had everything written down wrong. Maybe he should have actually read the email I sent him.

Also the photographer demanded that as the Bride I tell all my guests who were still mingling in the church taking photos that they needed to leave now. I laughed because I thought he had to be kidding, but then he told me again to do it because if people continued to take pictures in the church they wouldn’t buy his. I found that comment to be so rude. And the photos that were taken by him were AWFUL. I had my eyes closed in about 60% of them. So many shots that would have been great are just ruined because of the half hearted job this guy did. Thank goodness I had family there taking photos.

On top of all of that, I reside out of state and when I asked the photographer how and when I could get the negatives, I was told that I would have to pick them up and they would be ready three months from the wedding. When I told him that originally he said he would mail them to me within one month, his story changed. He would mail them to me but I would have to pay for the cost to ship them. After everything I’ve been through with this guy, I just wanted to get the photos and be done. So I paid the extra $10 (on top of the original way to expense price) only to receive the photos in the mail and see that it actually only cost $7. I hope the three dollars were worth it for this guy.

My advice to any bride, keep looking. The photos this guy does are not worth the price. And this guy’s attitude was one of the worst things I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The fact that it was also on my wedding day, just made me mad.
