Fun photographer that makes you feel at ease

We had such fun in Central Park with Agaton as well as being really impressive at his ability to stop traffic on 6th ave to get us a middle of the road photo. I can’t wait to see all the photos from our elopement.

Love Agaton!

It was great to work with Agaton! He's so friendly, talented, and professional. We loved having him and his team be a part of our wedding. They made us laugh several times throughout the day and they work so so hard to capture the best shots on your wedding day. It's very clear that Agaton is passionate about his work and really cares about his clients. He also worked so well with our videographer and the day went very smooth. He captures so many beautiful candid shots and gets the lighting right. He was amazing and we love our wedding photos. We're so appreciative! Would definitely work with Agaton again for a special event!

A true artist

Agaton is delightful to work with! He has a calming presence and is a true artist. We used him for both our engagement shoot and wedding. The weather was not very cooperative for our engagement shoot but Agaton was such a trooper and made it not only a great experience but also created such beautiful pictures! (Even while his equipment fell in sand multiple times)
We are simply amazed by the pictures he was able to take of our wedding. He was completely inconspicuous and hardly noticeable the entire time - yet when we saw the pictures we realized he was EVERYWHERE. More than once I asked, "How did he get this?" He captured so many authentic moments and gave us beautiful memories.
I highly recommend using Agaton for any occasion - you will be amazed.

Wonderful and Highly Recommended

Agaton was wonderful to work with ever since our initial contact. Every meeting, conversation, and e-mail chain was handled professionally and always with a calm and positive attitude. And this was on top of all the wonderful photos he provided for us!

We got married at the Foundry in LIC and Agaton was able to capture the beauty as well as the energy we felt throughout the whole day. He was also always open to any personal preferences for photos and was more than accommodating throughout the big day. If you like Agaton's documentary wedding style, I would highly recommend him for your own wedding as well.

The best photographer we could have hoped for.

We couldn't recommend Agaton more highly. He was a generous and very positive presence who fit seamlessly into the wedding. He's naturally client focused, willing to go way above and beyond to help make our vision a reality. And he's a super talented photographer who left us with an overflowing collection of beautiful images of our wedding (he was recommended to us by several professional photographers who held his work in high esteem).

A bit more detail about why we were so happy with his work: During the wedding he was constantly running around (literally) in search of perfect pictures. Because he gravitates towards moments of serendipity, the resulting photo album was so much richer than a bunch of canned portraits. And he embraced the unconventional, happily joining the wedding party on a four mile hike through a dark, muddy forest after the wedding (from about 10p.m. till midnight) to make sure the experience was fully documented. Throughout it all he was polite and cheerful.

If you're looking for a brilliant photographer who you'll be happy to have around you on your big day its hard to imagine a better choice than Agaton.

Perfection from start to finish

Agaton was so lovely to work with. Not only is he an incredibly talented photographer, but he is also genuinely a pleasure to work with. I was feeling a little anxious on my wedding day, and he made me feel at ease. He was such a calming presence. I can't recommend Agaton enough to anyone!

My friend had worked with him for her wedding back in 2009, I saw some his pictures and knew then that whenever I got married I wanted to work with him.

Fast forward to 2018 and I told my now husband we HAD to work with Agaton. Not only does he have an amazing eye (we got the best candid shots) but he's so easy going and lovely. He responds to emails super fast, answering ALL of my questions (there were a lot...) not to mention he's extremely tall so you KNOW he's getting the best vantage point!

Extremely Accomodating!

Agaton was recommended to me by two different sets of friends who were very happy. Working with Agaton and his team was wonderful!

My religious ceremony took place a few days before the actual wedding and the structure of the package (set of hours) was perfect. I used a few hours one day, and the rest the next.

Agaton was very professional and calm (dealing with crazy family members, lending another family member his own jacket for the formal photos).

I had provided him a list of all the group shots I wanted prior to the big day, and he had the list and made sure that every group was checked off.

And finally, I got my pictures back very quickly! In addition to them being up on a website to share with friends and family, I also got a book with all the pictures printed (in small size) and a USB with everything.

I highly recommend!!! Could not have been better!

Deciding to work with Agaton was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He’s incredibly responsive, flexible and just a delight to be around. In our first meeting, he came fully prepared to show his stunning work and was completely thorough in figuring out the right package and timing around the day. And that’s just the start of his fantastic work. On the day of the wedding, he was amazing to have around— his energy will set you at complete ease— not to mention his incredible eye and ninja like skills to get amazing shots without anyone noticing. My wife and I decided to have an intimate wedding with just close friends and family, so finding a photographer who could capture the feeling of being there was crucial to us.

Agaton was available whenever we needed him or had questions, and was otherwise a reassuring presence in the background. Half the fun of reviewing the photos is wondering how he captured such an intimate moment while remaining completely unobtrusive.

Lighting, composition, editing are all skills that anyone should demand of their photographer and to which Agaton brings an astounding level of professionalism. His sensitivity and empathy, qualities which go beyond capturing a scene toward crafting a narrative, come through in every single one of his shots.

My father - who, despite ailing health, walked me down the aisle in June - passed away a few days ago. At the reception Agaton managed to capture one of my favorite photos of him, full of life and joy.

I can’t speak highly enough of his talent and have recommended his work to several friends in just the few short months since he shot our wedding. It is a pleasure to recommend him to you as well.

Agaton is so fantastic, and we were lucky to work with him. Not only is his work extremely beautiful, capturing so much of the fun, informality and love that we considered such a core part of our wedding, he's also absolutely delightful to work with. Agaton was amazing start to finish. He was super attentive throughout he day and beautifully captured our day. I love his artistic style rather than your run of the mill wedding photography studio. He did some posed shots, but kept them at a minimum. The remainder of the day was absolutely stunning candid shots. Our album is gorgeous. Agaton photographed my wedding in August 2016. I chose him after meeting him at a friends wedding that he photographed. After seeing her amazing pictures I knew he was our only choice for our wedding. Agaton is extremely professional to work with. I met him prior to the wedding to discuss our wedding and day of timeline. He took the time to try to get to know us and get a sense of our personalities to capture them in our pictures. Prior to the wedding we created a list of must have photos which alleviated any stress the day of. The day of the wedding Agaton and his 2nd shooter were extremely professional and knowledgeable. He is so nice and easy going that he was enjoyable to be around the day of the wedding. He was extremely flexible and worked with our large families to get all the pictures we wanted. Our pictures came within a month!!! They were absolutely beautiful! He truly captured the day! I highly recommend him for any occasion.

Agaton was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was professional and easy to get along with and brought a unique creativity to our engagement and wedding photos. He was a huge help in figuring out where to do our shoots and always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.

When the weather on our wedding day ended up being very cold, Agaton scouted out an inside location to do bridal party group portraits so everyone was more comfortable and then braved the cold with us to get the outside photos my husband and I were counting on. Our friends and family all remarked how fun he was to work with and how he and his assistant were both very subtle and not at all "in your face" with a lens. Another reviewer here referred to him as a "wedding photographer ninja" and that is spot on! Agaton managed to get every shot and and moment without us noticing he was there.

Agaton is a wedding photography ninja. Virtually invisible in special moments where we wanted to focus on each other and our guests such as the ceremony, but somehow always close at hand when someone said "grab the photographer, we need a group shot!" Far more than a wedding photographer, he is a photojournalist. (His second shooter, Monika, was fabulous, as well.)

Our wedding took place in Williamsburg and for our pre-wedding shoot, Agaton led our wedding party around the area, guided by his eye for design and knowledge of gorgeous murals by local artists which he used as backdrops. He even worked an unexpected street fair in to our photos, which created a surreal juxtaposition of us in our 'Sunday best' and the carnival in its scrappy, chaotic splendor.

Agaton photographed my brother's wedding seven years ago, and I was so excited to have him do so for ours.

I would hire him all over again.

We received our wedding photos from Agaton a few days ago, and we are still absolutely BEAMING over them. Agaton completely captured the energy and magic of our wedding. Looking through ALL the photos he took, we were able to completely re-live the day. Each photo tells a story and expresses such strong emotion. I booked Agaton solely on WeddingWire reviews, so I was a bit nervous trusting my gut and booking him rather than going with referrals, but we could not be happier with the result. All other wedding photographer referrals seemed to produce photos that could have been taken at ANY wedding, were overly edited and just seemed a bit - cheesy. Agaton's photos completely captured the "glam" of our night, and yet, still captured the pure and raw moments of joy and celebration. As other reviews point out, he is so kind and such a joy to have at your wedding. We really did not notice he was there and could be fully present walking down the aisle, standing under the chuppah, signing the ketubah, and partying the night away - and yet we have the most fantastic photos capturing all those moments perfectly. Additionally, Agaton took our engagement photos and rehearsal dinner photos. Both sets of photos are equally fantastic - having him for both allows you to become more comfortable with him and taking photos in general, and having him at the rehearsal dinner allows you to point out who are important guests and....he just captures everything SO well.

Agaton is an incredibly gifted photographer. He photographed my friends' wedding and I knew instantly that I had to have him at my wedding!
Agaton was wonderful about communicating with my husband and me, and with or wedding planner.
On the day of our wedding, Agaton was punctual, communicative, kind, and made the entire experience fun! He put all the guests at ease. His creativity also shined through- he saw a really cool space and brought me there to take some very artistic photos of me. I felt beautiful and so comfortable.
We received our photos in a timely manner after the wedding. They are SPECTACULAR! We received an online link to the photos, a proof book, and an adorably creative USB with all the photos. How thorough!
I would recommend Agaton to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Words cannot describe how fabulous it was to work with Agaton for our wedding. The photos were spectacular--and that was of course our main objective in choosing Agaton.

What we didn't realize is just how awesome Agaton was! We met with him a couple of times before the wedding, and let's be honest here, it's a little strange to spend this huge day in your life with someone you don't know all that well, along with your spouse and all the other craziness. But wow! If there's anyone you want to spend this day with to help put you at ease and make you and your spouse have a good time during a magical, but stressful time, Agaton and his second shooter are the people!

Really, having a personable, nice photographer with skills at managing people on a whirlwind of a day is something that you can't stress enough. A great photographer is important, but you will really get the best photographs if you combine the qualities of a great photographer with someone who makes you feel comfortable. That comfort comes across in the photos!! And you want to have fun on your wedding day!

He is wonderfully nice and easy to work with, indulged our whims, but had lots of suggestions for how to do things. He also just put everyone at ease. No complaints from him, and definitely none from us about our experience.

I haven't yet said enough about the actual photos--we had a lot of fun taking portraits, and Agaton was willing to go to great lengths to capture the right shots, and we couldn't be happier with the photos. It really was the one thing that was most important to me--flowers die, and the random decorations and escort cards that you rip your hair out to get JUST RIGHT all get thrown out, but the photos are FOREVER! So we looked at a bunch of photographers and got the recommendation for Agaton, and are so happy we took it. The photos have a great mixture of seriousness to reflect the magnitude of the day with the whimsy that we were going for.

We booked Agaton for our Halloween Eve wedding and he was amazing!! We just got our proof book and USB with all the pics and they are so stunning! He was such a pleasure to work with, so easy going, laid back and friendly!! So many of our guests commented on how professional he was and seemed to really know what he was doing.
I am a shy person and usually don't like posing for photos but Agaton instantly put me at ease and is really encouraging and fun to work with. I hope one day we have another opportunity to work with him again.

Our experience with Agaton was perfect!

Agaton not only was constantly in the right place as a photographer, he truly added to the day with his quick wit and ability to participate in conversation when needed, or blend into the background if the moment called for a bit more sentiment.

A quick wedding day story... One of the groomsmen was parading around in his boxers to get a laugh from the rest of us, while the men were getting ready, and Agaton happened to walk into the suite at exactly the wrong time. Rather than run out and make a big scene, he just began snapping photos and cracking one-liners about the situation. He rolled with it like the true pro that he is, and it will go down as an unforgettable moment from our wedding day.

Whether climbing over benches or tromping through bushes, Agaton will do whatever it takes to get the perfect angle. Many of our guests commented on his commitment and his abilities both during and after the event, and the photos came out even better than we had hoped.

Agaton is an incredibly talented photographer who deeply cares about his subjects and spends time getting to know all of the key family members so as to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera. I choose him because not only were his photos unique in their photojournalistic style, but he had the knack of ALWAYS making the bride look beautiful in every photo I saw. And I was not disappointed! My entire family was thrilled with the way the photos turned out. His friendly and calm vibe also helped us relax during the crazy day. Thank you Agaton!!

Agaton was the most upbeat, creative, professional and flexible photographer we met during our search. He came prepared with great ideas, and was also completely open to all of our own. His modern yet timeless style and his ability to capture unique, intimate moments that don't feel at all cliché or staged quickly made him our top choice. Agaton was great! Our pictures looked lovely (and we're not actually that attractive). He was also a joy to work with (even though at times I know we weren't). We got our photos back pretty early and were thrilled with how they look. If you like his shooting style then you should have no qualms about selecting him as he is professional, understanding, and just a great guy! We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer.

Agaton shot a wedding of a friend of ours, and right from our first meeting he got what our style was. From the albums he had in his office, you can tell he's an incredibly talented photographer, a gifted artist, and he's extremely friendly and chill, yet very professional.

For the day of our wedding, he knew what shots would look good, and how to get people to do it in a way that didn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. We actually felt right at home in front of the camera. We also had asked him for a 2nd photographer to come to the house where the groomsmen and I were getting ready so that part of the day was captured, and his associate was also awesome to work with.

For the whole ceremony and reception, we didn't even know they were there, yet the shots they captured couldn't have been more perfect. We can't wait to see them!

I cannot recommend Agaton enough! From the moment I met him he was kind, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. My husband and I would have invited him to our wedding had we not hired him as our photographer! He was so mindful of expenses and really reasonable given how absolutely amazing his photography is.

Our engagement shoot was really fun. Agaton totally worked with us in terms of going to all the places in our neighborhood that are special to us. He has a great eye for light and backgrounds that will look incredible in photos. He is also daring --- standing in the middle of the street as cars come or hanging off a railing over the Hudson River to capture the perfect shot. He edited the engagement photos and got them to us REALLY QUICKLY. We loved our engagement pictures so much!

As the wedding approached, Agaton helped plan the timing of the day and emailed back and forth with me to answer all of my questions. On the day of the wedding Agaton came over while I was getting ready. He fit right in with my family and captured tons of beautiful shots without me ever noticing he was taking pictures. His assistant was incredible as well and talked me through some excitement tears and I was waiting to come downstairs for our first look. Everyone who took pictures with us before the wedding loved Agaton and his assistant and kept commenting how wonderful they were. Throughout the actual wedding I really didn’t notice them around at all but was amazed by all the fabulous shots they got without me ever realizing that the pictures were being taken.

Agaton is incredibly flexible and was such a fabulous addition to our wedding day. Weeks after our wedding, I ran into Agaton on the street and it felt like I was seeing an old friend. He really surpassed all expectations for what a wedding photographer should be! I now follow Agaton’s work and regularly check his blog for new photos. He is really the best!

Agaton was wonderful to work with before during and after our wedding. He gave us memories of our wedding that will last forever. We also did an engagement shoot with him and have great shots from that as well. Agaton is a consummate professional and is extremely reliable. He made a plan with us for timing of pictures and was present and ready to go exactly when he said he would be. At our event, Agaton wasn't intrusive, yet he was able to document the whole event, getting the important moments, without making himself a focal point. One of the best things about working with Agaton is that he is an extremely talented and detail oriented photographer. He tries to get at least one photo of everyone that attends your wedding. His style is modern and photojournalistic which gives it a very current and fresh feel, in addition to any staged and formal shots. Most importantly, Agaton is fun to work with and makes everyone feel comfortable so that there is no awkwardness, particularly while doing more posed shots, which can sometimes be awkward. Additionally, he was able to deliver proofs after the wedding and engagement shoots with super-fast turnaround times. All proofs are provided via a password protected link on his website which makes it easy to view and save the photos. You also have the ability to create lightboxes and mini galleries where you can choose specific pictures to share with others. It was a pleasure to work with Agaton. He truly captured the emotion, the joy, the fun of our wedding in our pictures. We recommend without question and with the highest regard.

Agaton is simply amazing! He photographed my friend's wedding a few years back, and I remember thinking if I'll get married one day, I have my photographer! So when I got engaged and showed Agaton's work to my now husband - it was a no brainer, he was the first vendor we booked. Agaton is very professional, dedicated and easy to work with. But what really makes him stand out is his ability to capture a true emotion behind each moment, the
feel and character of your special day. Every time we look through the pictures - we are able to re-live our wedding day over and over again and couldn't be happier! Everybody can take a picture, only few can make you feel it!

Agaton was an essential part of our wedding. From our first meeting, he was calm, professional, and so easy to work with. Our engagement photos look like a magazine spread; they are absolutely incredible. At our wedding, Agaton managed to capture shots of our guests that are quintessentially "them." We are so lucky to have these photos. In fact, it's been really hard to choose which to put in an album! I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Agaton was a delight to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. When we first met with him, we weren't really sure what we wanted (other than nice photos that looked natural), and he was extremely courteous and helpful. His suggestions were almost always exactly what we were hoping for, and on the big day he came through at every point. His greatest skill was in capturing moments as they were happening, whether it was perfect action shots of our friends dancing, or isolated moments with just the two of us- nothing looked staged, and every time we look at our photos it feels like we are watching something as it happens. We cannot recommend Agaton highly enough.

My best friend worked with Agaton for her wedding, and I experienced his easygoing manner and professionalism when he was photographing the bridal party. When it came time to choose a photographer for my wedding, I knew I wanted to work with Agaton. I had seen her photos and loved how they turned out, and I knew he had a unobtrustive way of working that would capture the best pictures for our wedding. His photojournalist-style was exactly what I was looking for from my wedding photographer. He is very responsive and easy to work with; we also had the pictures within a month after our wedding!

Agaton was an absolute joy to work with. Not only is he the kindest, most easy-going, and generous individual, but he is an incredibly professional and talented photographer. He made me and my husband feel completely at ease during our photo session and then somehow completely disappeared during the wedding (in a good way, as in we never noticed his presence), while capturing every single beautiful moment throughout the night. Post-wedding, the turnaround time for receiving all of our digital photos was shockingly quick. We also added a photo booth which was really fun - glad we included it. My entire family is thrilled with the shots and we are so happy to have had our special day documented by Agaton. I wish we had an excuse to work with him again!

FIVE STARS!… I cannot recommend Agaton highly enough. He was extremely professional, looked smart, and we chatted easily throughout the photo session and even stopped for a beer during the shoot, (it was a hot day!) and found out we actually had similar tastes in music and bands. It was just myself and my partner as we had eloped to New York from England to get married and booked Agaton via email. He was quick to respond and kept in touch regularly during the build-up to the big day. As it was just the two of us Agaton kindly agreed to be our witness during our wonderful ceremony in Central park. He was very open to our ideas of wanting some graffiti backdrops to the photos, which he captured perfectly – his eye for composition is great, he said he loved the idea of the glamour of a wedding contrasted with the old graffiti. We know a little about photography and appreciated that he captured the perfect lighting too, whether we were indoors or out. You will not regret booking Agaton, all our friends and family have said our wedding photos are amazing!

Agaton was referred to us through our awesome wedding planner (Christine at Exquisite Affairs Productions) and he was amazing! He is truly everything you want in a wedding photographer-- he has an unobtrusive personality, a kind spirit, an incredible eye, and impressive editing skills. Agaton is a brilliant photographer. He loves what he does and is extremely talented, with not only an amazing eye but a rare wit and thoughtfulness to his work/images. Throughout the whole process and on the day of, he was a calming force, with a laid-back, steady and sure manner that put us and our guests at complete ease. He was responsive, organized and knowledgeable. He listened carefully to our ideas and vision, and once he had a feel for who we were and what we wanted, came up with fresh creative ideas for shots.

As I’m now learning, photos not only keep your memories of the day sharp, but actually help shape them in your mind. In a preliminary set of images, I saw that Agaton had captured moments that had flown by or moments we hadn’t realized were occurring. Looking at these images brought back the range of emotions I experienced on the day, from joyful and exuberant to sweet and meaningful. The images were authentic and beautifully rendered, nothing cheesy or overly stylized. It told OUR story in the most clear, gorgeous way.

We highly recommend Agaton with no reservations. We got married this past summer at Tribeca Rooftop. From the day we first met Agaton we were impressed with his professionalism and his collaborative approach. In addition to being able to capture the moments you would want in your photos, he has the qualities of a person that you would want around you and your guests on your wedding day... unassuming at the right moments but also charismatic in interacting with guests. For all the planning and preparation leading up to our wedding day, Agaton was super responsive and flexible. We planned our wedding while living overseas, and Agaton was available during our trips back to New York for engagement shots, discussions over emails as to timing and options for preparation on the wedding day, and even for meeting with us after the wedding to show and discuss albums. We are so thankful that we chose Agaton and would not have gone another way.

Agaton is probably the coolest and most talented wedding photographer that my wife and I could have chosen to capture our big day. He chose beautiful camera angles, staged awesome group shots (e.g. of the wedding party), and was always, amazingly, in the best position to capture candid shots. This last skill is aided by his natural gifts (i.e., being very tall and slim), which allows him to glide effortlessly through the crowd and reach up and over the groups of wedding guests crowding the dance floor. The last thing that everyone should know about Agaton is that he is simply a cool guy who is simultaneously laid-back and full of energy. Awesome combination. We highly, highly recommend him!

Creativy + Technical expertise + A nice person to be around (especially on a day like your wedding day)= Agaton Strom. He's the best. My photos are amazing. He's not a generic wedding photographer, he is a gifted photographer who happens to specialize in weddings. We're an artsy couple and wanted to look like ourselves in photos- not a cookie-cutter bride and groom. Agaton captured our individuality and we never felt forced into photos that weren't "us." To be honest after the first 15 minutes I didn't even notice he was there and was able to loosen up- very good for someone who doesn't like being in front of a camera. My venue was very dark and I needed a photographer that was able to work with the low light- Agaton is so experienced that I had no doubt he'd be able to handle this challenge. And of course he did. Agaton was also a pleasure to work with in the months leading up to the wedding, at the wedding and following the wedding. Very calm, upbeat and fun. My guests even commented on how nice it was to have him around! I can't recommend him enough. Thanks again Agaton!

What can I say.....this man is a genius! From the moment we met Agaton we knew we were in good hands. From not living in NY but in Australia, we trusted the wedding planner's recommendations for photographers and we chose Agaton. He was so friendly and accommodating and we never felt like taking the photographs was a chore. My family all commented as did many guests on how un-intrusive he was on the day, you would never even know he was there. Agaton is a wonderful photographer, and also someone you want to spend time with on your wedding day (something crucial to consider when looking for a photographer). He was a joy to work with all the way through the process, always responsive, always lovely, and even willing to come grab a beer with us at a local bar to make my camera-phobic husband more comfortable. On the day of the wedding, he was a ton of fun during the getting-ready photos and portraits. He was so warm that my whole family enjoyed his presence while we were getting ready. He made the wedding party have so much fun during portraits, it was actually one of my favorite moments of the day. And once the wedding started, I never saw him. I don't know how he does it, because he's extremely tall, but somehow he just disappears into the background, and you have no idea how he got all these amazing photos. And the photos themselves were everything we wanted: they exactly represent the warmth and excitement of the day, and he captured every moment, from my hair in rollers to the first kiss to some crazy dance moves. His ideas for the portraits were fantastically innovative, and while it seemed crazy to run into the middle of 5th Ave. during a red light, or kiss by a construction site, the photos are beautiful of us and also classically New York, which is what we wanted. Agaton is also great value. He was with us for 11 hours, and for a very small additional cost, he brought along a fellow photographer (also a great guy) to shoot the guys getting ready and have two people there for the ceremony. For his price, it was a deal. Finally, my husband really, really hates having his photo taken, and Agaton made him truly comfortable. It's thanks to him that we have so many great shots (even portraits) of my husband.

Agaton was an amazing photographer - our photos came out beautifully, and his personality put the guests at ease. Agaton was the only photographer we met who wasn't pushy, and worked within our confines, tastes, and budget, even though he's a high end photographer and would have done just as well shooting our wedding the way he saw fit.

Agaton was simply fantastic! From the first time we met him, we knew Agaton would be a perfect fit. Our first engagement shoot in grand central at rush hour proved just how talented he is on many levels. We were both pretty nervous about posing with so many people staring, but within minutes Agaton had us laughing and we quickly tuned out the crowd. The pics were incredible. On our wedding day, I literally cheered when Agaton arrived at the hotel, and my bridal party quickly welcomed him as an honorary member of the party! I honestly believe he is a trained stealth ninja, he captured so many amazing moments, especially during the reception, and you never knew he was there. Agaton goes the extra mile to get the perfect shot, from lying on the ground to hopping fences. His second photographer Jason was the perfect complement and I loved seeing his shots of the guys hanging out and getting ready. Our photos are amazing, each time I look at them I notice new details that Agaton and Jason captured. I could not be happier. Also, The photo booth was also a huge hit with the guests, highly recommend it.

Agaton Strom is a superb wedding photographer: able to capture the events of an entire day in a graceful and seamless manner, without drawing too much attention to himself. You will literally forget that he is there, and marvel later at how he managed to get such a range of candid, unique, well-composed shots. He combines the eye of an artist and the skill of a photojournalist, and he was a lovely presence at our wedding. He is amenable to specific requests as well as documentation of the day. He shot from the bride’s morning makeup session to the last dance at the reception. To top it all off, he provided us with complete digital files in both color and black and white, and will help us decide what kind of album to make from the images. My husband and I can’t recommend him enough.

If photography were a an arcade game, Agaton's name would display as the High Score. If photography were a sport, the coveted championship trophy would be named 'The Agaton'. If photography was a diet, skinny people would be referred to as "Agatons". Okay, I'm not sure if the last suggestion made much sense, but the point is that Agaton Strom is an excellent photographer. We were lucky to book him about 7 months in advance of our wedding and the cost was very reasonable given the quality of his talent. He captured our wedding day with candid photographs that had edge and personality. ...just what we had asked for. He also has this uncanny ability to stealthily move about for the best angles without noticing him much, like a photo ninja. Impressive considering he was one of the taller individuals at our wedding. About 6-8 weeks after the wedding we received our proof book from him, and he also took the time to create a bonus slideshow that he posted to his website. It was great to have the slideshow to email out to our guests.
We strongly recommend meeting with Agaton before you book any other photographer for your next event. We are so happy with his work!

Agaton was delightful to work with! Our wedding pictures were absolutely perfect--Agaton not only captured all the details of what was happening, but the emotion behind each moment. Agaton was an amazing photographer and we've had such a great time working with him. From the beginning when we first selected him, it's been a great experience. He took our engagement pictures, and he had such great ideas for locations and backgrounds - they turned out wonderfully, and right away we knew we made the right choice in photographer. He is so friendly and easy to get along with. The on the actual wedding day, you hardly even noticed him (which was great since I didn't really want to be aware of every single picture being taken), and the pictures are amazing. So many people have complimented me on my wedding pictures. The photo journalistic style totally fit in with what we were looking for, and he got some amazing shots that people didn't even realize he was taking.

Great value too - he was definitely on the lower end of all of the photographers we were looking at. We got our engagement photos within a week I think and our wedding photos within 4 weeks. He also make sure to get you a disc with all of the digital files soon after he sends you the website where you can view your pictures. I HIGHLY recommend Agaton, and I'm going to be sad when our working relationship with him is over (we're still working on the album).

Agaton was wonderful to work with, and I can not recommend him highly enough. We met with him and arranged a complimentary engagement shoot so we could all get to know one another before the wedding. My husband hates having his picture taken, and Agaton put him at ease with his kind, calm manner. The pictures were amazing, and we knew we were in good hands for the wedding.

On the wedding day, Agaton was with us from the beginning until the end. He brought in a terrific second shooter for a reasonable rate, and the pictures speak for themselves. He captured our day, and our guests and wedding party members all mentioned how great he was.

If you're looking for an easy-going photographer, who takes interesting more candid-style shots then Agaton is your man.

Agaton does quality work. We found him off the WPJA site. We recently had our engagement photo session with him and the pictures that we received were amazing! The colors were just so vibrant and crisp. We are still waiting for our wedding photos but I am confident that he will do a great job. During the wedding, he was definitely in the action trying to capture everyone dancing and the angles he shot were pretty impressive. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Agaton. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos, he was a dream. I have literally lost count of how many people have told me that my photos are "the best photos" they have ever seen.
He is such a lovely, fun person and is so easy to work with. He was totally unobtrusive and as my husband and I looked through our photos we kept saying "Agaton was there when we did that?!" We did not even notice him! Half of my female guests and my mother fell a little bit in love with Agaton by the end of the night.
If you want stunning photos from an unobtrusive photographer, Agaton is your guy. He gets the photos back to you very quickly. Also- if you book him, make sure that you opt for his "photobooth." Some of our best, most fun shots were captured there and everyone LOVED it.

When hiring a photographer I wanted to find someone who would catch the day without worrying if our chins or our hands were placed in the exact, correct location. Agaton's photographs were a work of art in my opinion. He caught the raw emotions of the day and had us go to random spots and take pictures. He had my finance and me go across the street after the wedding ceremony in an alley to take shots of us, and I thought this guy is either really nuts or a genius. Turns out he was a genius because those pictures are absolutely amazing. The way the sun was shining down on us in the alley was absolutely beautiful. I can not gush about Agaton enough. He was polite, friendly, professional, and he worked his butt off the whole day. He took hundreds of pictures, and they are all unbelievable. I am going to have the biggest photo album ever because off his amazing, artistic work. I would recommend any bride or groom to contact him immediately to set up an appointment for Agatom to document the start of your married life together.

Agaton was wonderful to work with. My husband and I, and our families and friends, were so impressed with his talent, sincerity and pleasantness. In planning, Agaton was easy to talk to and always available for questions. On the day of, he was everywhere we needed to be; we were amazed at the fact that each time we turned to see if he could snap a shot of something, he was already standing there about to do it. With 250 guests, I was worried that Agaton and his assistant could not get around to capturing the entire essence of the party and all its guests, but they not only photographed so much, they did it so well. Hiring Agaton was one of the easiest decisions of the entire wedding process. After interviewing 3-4 photographers, what stood out most to me was Agaton's humility, talent, and flexibility. His documentarian style ensured that our wedding was captured more like a story than a static moment, so flipping through our photos is very much like re-experiencing the day -- a true testament to a talented photographer. Beyond his talent, Agaton is an absolute sweetheart. He does whatever it takes for his bride and groom and was super flexible on the day-of. I would recommend him to anyone in search of spectacular wedding photos and a sincere and courteous photographer.

We were very clear on what we wanted in a photographer and Agaton fit the bill. We hired him and an assistant to shoot our wedding, all digital. I highly recommend having 2 people shooting, we have great shots from 2 sides of the room and things happening simultaneously.

We did not want a package deal, we wanted a talented photographer who would capture the spirit of the wedding in a photo journalistic way. We did not do a lot of posed photos, though what we got was great I don't think that's his real focus. He was willing to work with us and what we needed. He provided a beautiful proof book with his input on favorites, and would have done more had we wanted him to.

As an added bonus he's over 6 feet tall so was able to easily get up above the crowd for many shots.

Agaton is a photojournalistic photographer. His shots are clear and crisp. When I hired Agaton I asked if he does portraits and he said yes, but clearly I should have hired 2 separate companies. I have only 2 pictures to choose from for my traditional photo. ONLY 2. He does not pose people and doesn't set up the background correctly for portraits. If you are looking for any portraits from him, hire someone else.

He was on time, the pictures came quickly. He is a behind the scenes type of guy. He is perfect for non-traditional photos and non-traditional pictures. Don't expect a take charge photographer. I didn't want an overbearing photographer, but Agaton was too laid back to get the best out of people.
