The Best Ambience
String Poets set the tone from the moment my guests arrived until the end of cocktail hour. Their play list and style was beautiful and timeless. It made the wedding feel like a fairy tale or an episode of bridgerton. They were professional throughout the entire process, and everything ran smoothly. -

Solid wedding string group
We hired the string poets to play 3 songs for aisle walk. Of the 3 songs, 1 was new and 2 they already knew. The String Poets team did a great job communicating the entire time, and showed up with professionalism. They also did a great job on the new song they learned. Overall I'd highly recommend them! -

Perfect String Trio for our Wedding!
We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with String Poets. We asked them to play for our vow renewal ceremony, and they were absolutely perfect for our event. I requested some somewhat unusual songs which wouldn't normally be played in a wedding (such as the Avengers theme for our recessional!), but which made the ceremony special and meaningful for us. Radhi and the wonderful musicians at String Poets accommodated my requests with no hesitation. They also helped me put together a contract that fit my specific needs and budget. Having them provide music for our ceremony really allowed my true vision of our wedding ceremony come to life - which was even more meaningful after our original plans had to be dramatically changed due to COVID. I teared up hearing them playing when I got ready to walk down the aisle. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you! -

Unbelievably Beautiful!
String Poets provided 3 hours of exceptionally beautiful and exquisite music for our Dec 29, 2021 Gramercy wedding. I worked with Radhi who was Unbelievable!! They were responsive, played beautifully and very professional. I asked if they would play accompanying music to my daughter who sang the first dance and it was so beautiful! Each song was moving, perfectly orchestrated and just SO beautiful. Their sound is magical and added the most elegant touch. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND engaging them as they added that special touch that will last a lifetime!!! The best!!!
Thank you for the most elegant and gorgeous night of music, it was a dream come true.

Simply breathtaking!
String Poets were absolutely amazing! We received so many compliments about having live strings over recorded. It added to the scene even more having them! In addition, I had two songs in mind for them to play and they willingly made those songs into strings only! I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding! -

String Poets are phenomenal!
The String Poets were really fantastic for my wedding. They played gorgeous ceremony music and fun cocktail music afterwards. Perfect for any setting and event! Radhi was wonderful to work with and they really do a great job. I 10/10 recommend! -

Perfect Ceremony
Having a string quartet gave our ceremony an incredible touch of elegance. Watching my bride walk up with her father to a beautifully played live version of a song she chose will forever be an amazing memory. String Poets were easy to work with, and were perfectly happy to play the songs we selected. -

Great Guitar & Violin Duo
We hired String Poets for our outdoor ceremony music and couldn't be happier. We had a couple of pieces that we wanted incorporated, and they suggested a guitar and violin duo (we were limited to two musicians at the site). That combination worked beautifully, and String Poets were responsive and easy to coordinate with. We highly recommend them. -

We first hired The String Poets 6 years ago for my oldest daughter's wedding in Newark, DE & were blown away at the quality of their music & their professionalism. Last night, they came all the way to Wilmington, DE & played for my youngest daughter's wedding. Once again, they were outstanding, not only did they play beautiful ceremony music, but they played a diverse & fun mix for the cocktail hour as well. We had so many positive comments (some from professional musicians in attendance). I highly recommend this group! -

String Poets was absolutely a godsend for our wedding. We contacted them with only a couple weeks to go until the wedding, since we were running into some real issues with our previously booked musicians, and Radhi was incredibly kind and accommodating. They have an extensive classical repertoire, and their renditions are flawless, graceful and very moving-- several professional classical musicians who were in attendance told me that they were very impressed! I entered to Elgar's Salut d'Amour, and their rendition was just perfect. In addition, Radhi was even able to find last-minute sheet music for a very unusual recessional song we wanted (my fiance had his heart set on walking out to the Super Mario Orchestral theme). I am so so glad we found String Poets and would recommend them to anyone! -

I loved working with String Poets for our wedding! We requested songs for our ceremony that were non-traditional (Beatles, etc) and some of the songs we requested the quartet had to learn for our wedding. They were pleased to learn any song we requested. We used them both for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They made everything stress-free and easy! The music during the ceremony was beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. -

I'm so happy with our decision to go with the string quartet for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Radhi was very organized and responsive to emails leading up to the wedding. Their repertoire is huge and has lots of variety (traditional options as well as modern) - and they immediately agreed to play Can You Feel The Love Tonight as I walked down the aisle and If I Were a Rich Man during cocktail hour, despite neither song being officially listed on their website. The music was so gorgeous, and I can't wait to get our wedding video so I can listen to it all over again! Highly recommend :) -

We booked the String Poets for our ceremony music and cocktail hour and couldn't have been happier! Radhi was fantastic to work with the whole way through the planning process-- willing to answer all my questions and provide some industry advice as we made decisions. Best of all, we had three friends who we wanted to sing during the ceremony and he was great about getting everyone on the same page with the music, practicing with them just before the ceremony to help keep costs down and making everything work beautifully. We absolutely loved the music during the ceremony and missed most of the cocktail hour music while doing pictures, but we heard great things from our guests. We would definitely recommend the String Poets to anyone who'd like to have live string instruments as part of their ceremony or any part of their wedding. We had a quartet with a violin, viola, cello and guitar, which worked really well with our singers. But their flexibility is also a huge plus-- from number of instruments to the particular combination that will work best for your needs. I should add that we decided to book them based only on reviews we'd read from others who'd had them at their weddings-- I hope our review will help future brides/grooms make their decisions. String Poets played for our daughter's ceremony and cocktail hour. They were a perfect selection. The wedding was semi-formal so I think strings are a good match for that type of wedding. Their music was lovely and provided just the right atmosphere during the ceremony and cocktails. -

String Poets did a phenomenal job at our wedding. We used them for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. They were able to learn several songs for our processional and recessional - ranging from modern rock to Disney - and did fantastic arrangements for all of it. We also received numerous compliments from our guests about their cocktail hour serenading. Beyond their technical talent, they were very easy to work with and friendly. We highly recommend them. -

I am so impressed with the level of service and professionalism of String Poets.! When I viewed there site and was able to play so many short audio streams of there work and see that they were open to utilize a song that was not on there list was so great! My wife loved the song by Chrisette Michele "Love is You",so I let the leader of the String Poets, Radhi, know 4 months in advance. He and the string quartet along with the singer of NIRVINE BAND and their guitarist pulled off the song with incredible soul and eloquence. wow. They also provided a concert for our guests as they sat and waited for the wedding to begin. Playing a mixture of classical music and classical music fusioned into modern songs. Radhi, made me feel so confident that they were going to provide an awesome performance! They were prompt to the wedding as well as worked with the staff and other musicians with ease. I will definitely booked them again for any other function that I may have and also refer them to any one else. The string quartet will make a huge statement to your wedding. It takes it up to another level and the price was very reasonable in my opinion for that level of performance. Please consider String Poets for any occasion! Excellent excellent work! -

The String Poets did an amazing job providing all the music for our wedding, from ceremony processional and recessional to cocktail hour to reception! These musicians are amazing, incredibly professional, and their sound is amazing. They also have an incredible repertoire, and had all of the pieces we wanted for our Jewish ceremony. Radhi Santos, the contact for the String Poets, was fantastic to work with- he was always very approachable and dedicated to making sure that we got exactly the lovely string quartet music we wanted. All in all, fantastic!! I highly recommend them. -

We had a string quartet play our ceremony and cocktail hour. While I didn't hear much during the ceremony I was able to listen for a bit during cocktail hour. The music was beautiful and they were able to work with my selected ceremony music and play covers during cocktail. I can't wait to see the wedding video which hopefully captured more for me to see. It added a really nice touch to our wedding. -

Radhi from String Poets was awesome. I hired a cellist and violinist from String Poets for the wedding ceremony. I chose three specific Scottish songs for the ceremony, one of which they were familiar with. The other two Radhi had not played before, but he was able to listen to the recordings I sent him to compose the music for the two songs. They were perfect! -

AHHHMAZING! ALL of my guests raved about the poets. I booked a string trio and they were soooo good. I am actually pretty upset I could not hear all of the music I selected (because I was the bride). I saw some of the video that was taken during the ceremony and cocktail hour and they surpassed my expectations.
Radhi did not perform that day, however I communicated with him prior to my wedding day and he was a JOY to work with.

Radhi was incredibly patient with me for the months leading up to my wedding as I decided which songs I wanted played. He was very helpful and flexible with the songs I did pick. I picked some songs that were not on their list but he didn't hesitate in telling me it could be done. The only thing I would recommend would be to send them a copy of your ceremony timeline. There were some times the music began a little late during the ceremony and ended as we just stood their awkwardly. Other than that, the music was beautiful. -

From the first time I contacted Radhi Santos from String Poets, he was confident and enthusiastic about performing the ceremony and cocktail hour music for our wedding. He listened to what I wanted the atmosphere to be like, and suggested music to create the happy environment I wanted. Radhi was responsive, super professional, and the trio that played at the wedding sounded incredible. When I think back on my wedding day, one of the things I actually remember is the music String Poets was playing. It was nice not having to worry about this part of the wedding; completely worth it! -

I couldn't have been more pleased. These guys sounded just perfect! They played a non-traditional piece for me as I walked down the aisle - Dvorak's Humoresque No.7 as well as other pieces we selected for the reception. They are finely skilled musicians and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a string trio (they also have a string quartet) for their event. -

We had the String Poets play at our Catholic ceremony and their music was beautiful! The whole day was a big blur but I knew that the music was great after all of our guests asked about them and complimented them. Then when we watched our video - we again saw how wonderful they were! Highly recommend and Radhi was Super easy to work with! -

We used String Poets for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were an excellent addition to our wedding. They learned two songs for us and played them beautifully. Radhi is great to work with and makes himself available to answer questions no matter what. I would recommend texting him rather than email though. We were very happy we went with the String Poets! -

We used the String Poets for our wedding ceremony music. They offered a wide variety of unique songs and even added a special request for the bride's entrance. They were flexible in the selection, had a fair price and were very professional.
Initially, I had some difficulty getting in touch with them, but once we were near the ceremony date, they were responsive and took care of everything. They did a very nice job and were accommodating throughout.

String Poets performed at my wedding a few weeks back and I was so happy with the performance. The music was so beautiful I had to try to NOT listen to them so I wouldn't cry so much! I would recommend contacting them today! The only drawback is that they are a little slow to respond and confirm things at times. -

The String Poets did a fantastic job performing at my wedding ceremony! Radhi was very flexible and able to find the music/play songs outside their repertoire without any problem! He was also very friendly, and the actual performance of the trio at the ceremony was beautiful. We hired them to play for an hour, but included in that was their early arrival 45 minutes before play-time, and all set-up. Great value!
The only complaint I had was their lack of responsiveness via email. It's a minor detail, but it did take a week or so for them to get back to me to go over all the final details and payment when the wedding was only one-two weeks away. Probably just due to busy wedding season! -

String Poets are wonderful. They have a huge repertoire and are excellent musicians.
A colleague helped me find them one day on Wedding Wire and they were the perfect fit for our ceremony music. I only wish I had been able to hear more of what they played for our arriving guests!
Because of time constraints with our shuttles from the hotel where guests were staying, we had SP play for 1 hr and 30 min. You should know that they only book by the hour so that price isn't neogotiable. However, the first hour is the most expensive and the price drops significantly by the hour after that.
While we only used SP for our ceremony they would also be excellent for cocktail hour, however we had already booked a DJ.
I recommend communicating with Radhi by phone- he is easy to work with but e-mail isn't always the fastest form of communication. One of the musicians did arrive late- I think she got caught in traffic coming from Baltimore but she made it on time and I don't think anyone noticed. If the quartet had started playing it wasn't an issue.

We hired the String Poets to play our wedding ceremony at the Liriodendron mansion in Bel Air, MD. We chose the string quartet option. Their performance at the ceremony was absolutely stunning. They played all of the songs I requested at the exact times I requested them and there were no periods of silence in their 1 hour set. The music was a beautiful compliment to our outdoor ceremony. The best way to describe the String Poets is "CLASSY!!" The group was also extremely gracious to perform at our wedding and took time to speak to me after the performance. The only negative thing I have to say about the String Poets is that they did not reply to my confirmation email until 3 days before the wedding. It stressed me out a little bit to not have every one of my questions answered within a couple of days, but after speaking to Mr. Santos on the phone, my stress was relieved and I was able to truly enjoy the experience. I would DEFINITELY recommend the String Poets! -

StingPoets was so accommodating with our song selections and played everything we asked for. All of our guests complemented us on our choice of band. Only two complaints: sometimes it was hard to get a hold of Rahdi, but the fantastic performance on our wedding day made up for that. Also, one of the musicians was wearing pleather pants, that is tacky and unprofessional, it does not belong at a wedding. -

The String Poets played the ceremony and cocktail hour music for our wedding. They are clearly very talented musicians. Their music really enhanced the day and all of our guests raved about their performance.
The reason we are not rating them 5 stars is because we think they could be better communicating with the bride and groom and establishing better plans before the event. We made an appointment to speak with the group contact at a specific time and then he wasn’t available. We later only had a very brief phone call and think it would be have been better to have discussed contacts on the day, contingency plans, etc in advance, but we did not. For example, before the ceremony when there was a risk of rain, they approached the groom and told him that they wouldn’t be able to play because their instruments might get wet. We would have appreciated the groom not having to deal with that right before the ceremony. In the end, our caterer/event planner found a solution. Due to the rain delay, the cocktail hour ran over but the musicians left at the pre-agreed time because we didn’t have a back-up plan.
