Intentional and great communication

String & Sound were amazing! They were extremely easy to work with and had excellent communication leading up to and during the wedding. Several guests complimented their performance….which of course made us feel good, too! I highly recommend them for your event.

Best music ever!

I cannot recommend String & Sound enough. Firstly, their covers are incredible on their site, and they sound even better in person. They did an acoustic version of No Diggity that was unreal. For me walking down the aisle, they learned Rivers & Roads, and people were literally crying it was so well done and beautiful. Jason did a great job changing up the tunes depending on what audience was on the dance floor, and he was so nice! Sadie was also great to work with - overall just so impressed with them, their professionalism and the DEAL of a lifetime it felt like with this band.

Amazing Talent!

We had the BEST time at our wedding and I think 99% of that was due to Jason and his partner at String and Sound. There was a last minute change of vocalist due to sickness and he handled it professionally, quickly and left me with no worries. The quality, sound, attitude and overall vibe they gave to our reception was so spot on. Everyone has been raving about them and now my soon to be sister in law booked them too! Cannot wait to party with them again soon. Hire them for sure!

String & sound was amazing to work with. They were so helpful with picking a package, to choosing songs, & making sure our wedding ran smoothly. Not to mention the incredible talent they have! Highly highly recommend them, you will NOT be disappointed!!

The perfect choice!

String and sound was the perfect choice for our mountain wedding. We couldn't decide between a band and a DJ, and they brought the best of both worlds! Jason and his team were responsive, flexible (my husband wanted a very unconventional acoustic song to walk down the aisle too and they learned it with short notice) and so much fun! So many of our guests commented on their amazing music and entertaining and I am so grateful we chose String and Sound. Now I want a second wedding to enjoy them again!

Loved working with String & Sound!

Guys, hire String & Sound. Stop looking around and reading a million reviews. Hire them. They played our wedding and Molly and Jason were spectacular! We loved all of it. They were incredibly easy to work with and soooooo talented! We were super specific about the bridal party entrance song and they were totally down for making it happen the way we envisioned. My wedding planner raved about how flexible with timelines and professional and kind they were the whole day. Molly sang an acoustic song for our private last dance. It was magical. I want to relive that moment a million times over! I did a ton of research and looked at a lot of musicians/DJs in the area. They are the best of both worlds wrapped up in a lovely bow. I can not recommend them enough!

Full dance floor

String and Sound did an AMAZING job. Planning with Jason was so easy, he sent over resources to help us narrow down song choices, and guided us on which songs would be best with a live version or a track. On the day of, the ceremony music was beautiful and the dance floor was full the entire reception. We seriously got so many compliments on them! Would 100% use Jason and the team again for future events needing a band.

String & Sound was the best decision we made for our wedding. Molly and Jason were amazing and delivered exactly what we envisioned.

The best!

Better than I could have hoped for! Everyone has been raving about our music, all thanks to Jason from String and Sound! They are very easy to work with, have a lot of experience, and made our wedding flow beautifully. The tailored tune is absolutely worth it as well... that was my gift to my husband, and it was so special because no one had ever seen/heard anything like that at a wedding before. I highly highly recommend Jason and String of Sound to do your wedding, they gave us an evening we (and our guests) will never forget!

Best Decision Ever

Beyond impressed with our experience with String and Sound! Molly and Zac were just amazing and received soooo many compliments the entire night. Everyone was in awe of their music and perfect balance of live and recorded tracks. They were even on board with accommodating a goofball song request for the father of the bride :) Words cannot express how blessed we were to have Molly and Zac perform at our wedding. You cannot go wrong with String and Sound...it will be one of the best decisions you've made!!!!

Amazing Musicians & Perfect For Our Wedding

String & Sound was the perfect choice for our wedding. Molly and Jason at String and Sound are wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for, or dreamed of, better music for our wedding.
Our wedding was small (30 people) and was held in a beautiful barn east of Dallas. We wanted to create a romantic and intimate vibe during the ceremony and dinner but wanted everyone out on the dance floor following dinner. Molly and Jason sang live during our ceremony, played track music for cocktail hour and switched back and forth between live singing and track music for dinner and the reception. The dance floor was full the entire night! They were able to read the crowd perfectly and played music that everyone enjoyed. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crown during our first dance, the mother/son, and father/daughter dances. They even got my husband on the dance floor by the end of the night! And he isn’t a dancer – he wouldn’t even practice dancing to our song at home alone in the kitchen. They also recommend a private last dance. I had never heard of this and I’m so glad we did it. It really is a special moment that we savored and was the perfect way to end a perfect day. If you are looking for an amazing wedding band/DJ, then look no further than String & Sound. They are the best!

Amazing addition to our wedding

Jason and his team are absolutely incredible. He checked in with me about two weeks before the wedding and all the details were handled. Jason’s kind soul was such a warming presence during our wedding. He engaged our guests and was very accommodating to everyone. He truly had our best interest in mind and you could tell he was investing in making our day perfect. Our dear friend sang our first dance and Jason was there to help him set up and Jason jumped in to add to the song as well - it was amazing. He really amplified our day. The package we selected came with a custom song - we had the best time filling out the questionnaire prior to the wedding and were so excited to share our story. Jason completely captured our love song. String and Sound played it for us privately before the wedding and it was beautiful. Not only did it reflect our love, we can feel the emotion behind the words. I was utterly speechless. When they preformed it at the wedding, there was not a dry eye in the crowd. Everyone continues to ask me about it almost a week later. Jason was flexible and a blast as a DJ - he keep the energy up and knew when to slow things down. I can’t say this enough but he was truly a captivating presence during our wedding and I am beyond grateful to know him and his team.

h my goodness! Molly and Jason were even better than I could have ever imagined. I’m so glad we booked them for our wedding. They killed it with the live music and definitely read the room as dj’s to know what to play to get everyone on the dance floor. All night we had guests coming up and asking us about them. I could tell everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The best part of our night was the private first dance, lots of tears were shed. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know!

Perfect Band for A Perfect Day

I cannot RAVE enough about how much we enjoyed String & Sound at our wedding!!! Molly and Jason were phenomenal! Molly contacted us before hand to go over all the details- she was amazing. We had instrumental music for our ceremony and a large mix for the reception. Their versions of our songs we picked were better than I imagined. The music at the reception was loud enough to be enjoyed and still able to have a conversation without yelling. String and Sound was really the sound we were looking for- they also helped with the timing of the night. I seriously cannot recommend them enough and they helped make our best day ever - perfect.

Highly Recommended

Jason did an amazing job with our wedding music. Live music during the ceremony and during dinner, and DJ services through cocktail hour and the dance. The dance floor was not empty ONCE throughout the night. He did a great job feeling out the crowd and what they wanted to hear. He communicated promptly in the days leading up to the wedding and was very flexible when we needed to make minor changes.

You can't go wrong with String and Sound!

We had been trying to find someone to play our wedding but every band we came across was over some obnoxious "wedding band" that we didn't feel a connection with. Thankfully we attended a wedding of a friend in Fort Worth in July and were so impressed with Jason and team that we followed them out the door to ask if they'd be open to traveling for our destination wedding in Portland, Maine in September. He enthusiastically let me know that they had recently done a wedding in Montauk, and they'd love to travel East again so we exchanged info. I wasn't super sure if it would come to fruition, after all Maine is hard to get to and the date wasn't that far off - but Jason made it work.

He asked me about the location and vibe of the wedding and what specific songs we liked and what was our overall musical style, and promised to deliver. We had maybe 3 conversations over the next few weeks and with so much else on my plate I was concerned I hadn't given him enough to go on - but much to my delight Jason and the band showed up, had everything they needed and were a huge part of making our wedding the amazing event it was. We have gotten so many compliments about not having the typical "cheesy wedding music" and instead bringing in actual musicians you'd want to go see in a bar or at a show. This is agreat compliment considering we're from New Orleans, got married in Portland and had guests in attendance from all over the country, many of whom are musicians themselves. We know and appreciate good music and a good time and Jason is tops for both! You won't regret hiring String and Sound!

Wedding Band/DJ

Jason with String and Sound was phenomenal!! He went over all of the details with us before our wedding, and he made suggestions to make sure everything sounded great. The live music was so perfect, and they got everyone dancing with the DJ portion. We couldn’t be happier with String and Sound!!

Molly and Jared did a great job of customizing our wedding music. Molly performed a live session as well. Wow! What a beautiful voice! Molly and Jared helped me out with the prosposal live music. These two are the best in the business.

Amazing one-stop shop for lovely ceremony music and DJing. They were great about learning a few songs we requested and spot on with DJing for our crowd based on our 90s music / Americana / old school hip hop requests =) The dance floor was packed the whole night!

We were SO thrilled we chose to work with String and Sound on our wedding day! They are truly talented musicians and the live music was just what we hoped for. String and Sound is an amazing music group! We had Molly & Zac as our musicians at our wedding and they have amazing talent. Jason was our point of contact for signing the contract and sending payment and he was very professional and had great customer service! I loved that we did not have to choose between having live music or a DJ set up. They provide the best of both worlds and will do both! Our guests loved that we had the live violin, guitar and singing during the ceremony and then the DJ set up at the reception. It was also very nice to have a few live songs during the reception. Their voices are amazing and they had a great song selection for the reception as well. We also had a special request of having our announcements and songs be bilingual. String and Sound did not hesitate to find a solution for us and provide services to our guests in both English and Spanish! Thank you String and Sound and especially Molly and Zac for making our day so special.

Literally these people are the best. THey were so incredibly accommodating and fun to have play at our wedding. If I had a choice to choose again, they would be the only ones I would think of. We hired String and Sound because we wanted live music as well as a DJ, and after seeing them at a bridal show in Denver we knew they were exactly what we were looking for. Jason & Shivawn were fantastic! So many of our guests have commented on how wonderful the music was. The live music during the ceremony and our first dance really made it feel more personal, and we were so happy with how it all sounded! During the reception they did a phenomenal job of keeping everybody on the dance floor. Before the wedding, Jason and I emailed back and forth a few times as well as spoke on the phone. He was very responsive and was able to accommodate all of my song requests for live music. They are so professional and extremely talented! We were so happy and would recommend their service to anybody!

I think the best thing you can say about a DJ/Band service is that the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last song. String & Sound (our performers were Jason and Shivawn) provides such a unique service that we couldn't find anywhere else. On top of their awesome reception music (a mix of live songs for first dances and awesome DJ'ing), they provided amazing live ceremony music for us. We had some pretty unique requests (Blink 182 and Harry Potter), and they executed it perfectly! We highly recommend them, and would re-hire them in a heartbeat.

GORGEOUS! String and Sound was the perfect addition to my daughter and son-in-love's wedding. They really took the time to get to know what we wanted the evening to be like and took extra care to help us keep on schedule. They even suggested having the last dance outside under the stars! We couldn't have planned it better ourselves. Our guests RAVED about the live songs during dinner and they blew me away with their live rendition of the first dance. They are absolutely perfect for those that want an extra personal touch to their evening. Worth every penny (and more!)

I can not say enough incredible things about Jason and Molly, but I will try my best! My wife Christina and I booked Jason and Molly for our wedding in Jones, OK on March 25th 2017. We were recommended to book them from our videographer (Alumni Productions). We checked out their website and were amazed with how good they sounded. I contacted them right away and they responded very quickly and let us know what different packages they offered. We ended up going with their Classic Sound package and it was absolutely perfect for us. We sent Jason a Spotify playlist of the music we wanted to use. He gave us some great recommendations for which songs they could play live and what they thought would sound good. The recommendations were 100% on point! The day of the wedding Jason and Molly arrived early to set up and make sure everything was perfect. Prior to the ceremony they played live and it really added to the ambiance and set the tone for our ceremony. We walked out to them playing for us and they even played the bridal processional live and it was just perfect. For our first dance we were not sure whether we wanted to do a live song or dance to the track. Jason recommended that he and Molly could play their cover for us and we could determine which one to go with. We ended up not doing the preview but we had so much confidence in them that we decided to go with their cover anyways and we were so happy that we did. It sounded so amazing and added such a unique touch to our first dance. Jason did an absolutely amazing job MCing. I can't even say how many compliments we got on how great of an MC he was. He was so fun throughout the whole night and really set the tone for our party. He had great recommendations on how we could make the garter toss more fun and throughout the night he was so awesome at getting people to dance and really cut loose. I can not recommend String and Sound enough and I can not thank them enough for making our wedding perfect!

Jose and Sara did an excellent job performing at our wedding, they made our night magical. They learned severel of our favorite songs for the ceremony, and even jumped into a live version of Thinking Outlaid for a slow dance when we asked and they hadn't even rehearsed it. I am not exaggerating when I say that String and Sound will MAKE your entire wedding!! If you are lucky enough to have them, you will never ever forget what a magical experience they bring to your day. My husband and I fell in love with them the very first time we heard them. We were married in Montauk, NY and never thought it possible that they would be able to play at our wedding, but they made it happen and they were the talk of the wedding! Our guests are STILL asking about them and talking about how phenomenal these artists are. My family is still talking about how AWESOME our DJ/Band was! They played all of our special dances live and were such a blast! Our dance floor was always packed and they are a one-stop shop!!! They provide lights, wedding planning, mic system, awesome equipment, live music and more! They are very professional and so unique!!! You would be crazy to use someone else! First, they were amazing musicians! They were prompt and professional and very easy to work with! They arrived and set up without needing any attention from us. They knew what they needed to do and took care of business, which was a huge relief for a stressed mother of the bride. When you have such a great experience working with someone, it's tough to put it into words. That's exactly how I feel after working with String and Sound, specifically with Jason and Josie!

Throughout the planning process, Jason was our main point of contact. He was extremely friendly and informative, and made sure no detail was overlooked. He was quick to respond to questions, and we literally felt like we had nothing to worry about, which was great considering how stressful wedding planning can be.

During the ceremony, Jason and Josie were absolutely amazing. They are true artists in every sense of the word, and we couldn't keep track of all the positive things our guests said about them throughout the evening. During the reception, they performed live versions of our first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance. The songs we chose are all pretty well known, but Jason and Josie put their own twist on each one and made us feel as if they were written about us! They even crafted a special "tailored tune" for us based on our own love story!

Jason and Josie surpassed everything we had ever dreamed of (by far), and this review doesn't even come close to doing them justice. If you're looking for an extremely talented pair of musicians to make your wedding day an unforgettable one, you absolutely need to get in touch with them!

You will be happy you booked String & Sound, they made our event so special. The music was so wonderful, and we were very thankful for their helpfulness in picking songs and making sure our day was extra special. Jason and Molly were absolutley amazing! There was a minor hiccup at the beginning of my ceremony, but we worked around it and everything was beatiiful. Everyone complimented the music during the ceremony and I remember being thankful to have it because it kept me from fainting. They were incredible at keeping the reception on the timeline or adjusting were nessecary. The music was amazing and everyone was dancing! Even my grandparents! Before the wedding they made sure to get our style and played songs that I requested they play! I am so glad I booked them. I highly recommend them.

Everything about Jason and Molly exceeded my expectations. I couldn't even pay attention to my food at the reception because I continued to look around and say to everyone "Are you hearing these guys?! This is amazing!" We got so many compliments from them stringing at our ceremony and the reception music. I was very impressed with everything they did and it was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. I can't stress enough they were a perfect choice! It would have cost us so much more to pay ceremony musicians and then hire a DJ, with String and Sound you get both and it is much better quality. We had fireworks on an outdoor patio during out reception and Jason asked to play a live song outdoors for everyone to dance to when the fireworks were going off. This was not something he had to do - they went above and beyond. Jason and Molly are both very talented with beautiful voices, they set the perfect tone for our perfect day!

We met Jason and Josie at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show, and asked them if they knew our favorite song Ho Hey by The Lumineers. They launched into it and my mom started crying. We had to have them!! We knew as soon as we heard them play at the bridal show that we had to have them! We were so pumped when we got in contact with them and that they were available for our date. They are so laid back but so professional and helpful. I didn't get them my final song list until less than a week before the wedding (I don't recommend that, by the way) and they were still totally prepared! They were so much fun and they are just amazing. Everything they did was so perfect and really was the finishing touch on the whole day. We also got a tailored tune from them and it is so cool! They are truly talented and can make an awesome song for you & your future spouse! I will forever have a favorite song! :) We couldn't have picked anyone better for our wedding.

Very few opportunities come around in a lifetime to make memories that are truly story-book and it's even less frequent that one of those opportunities turns out the way a person dreams but our wedding was one of those moments thanks to String and Sound. We will forever be grateful to Jason for making that happen for us. Aside from being extremely skilled professional musicians, their creativity and personable natures allowed them to effortlessly make themselves a part of the ceremony instead of sticking out like so many other "hired gun" wedding/event services. They made the ceremony a fairy tale and made the reception just as memorable. They interacted with our guests instead of being stuffy, uptight, and unapproachable. They put obvious time and effort into their song selections instead of playing the same tired, old "reception music" and were able to cater the music on the fly to the changing mood and age of the crowd, as the night went on. If you're wanting both live music and a DJ, this is definitely the way to go! String and Sound were so great to work with from the very beginning and made the whole process so easy. On the day of the wedding, Jason and Josie were incredible. From the live instrumental music before the ceremony to the song they sang during our ceremony, our guests were so impressed! They did a great job DJing the reception as well- they made sure everything went smoothly and the dance floor was always full. One of my favorite parts was the live song they did for just me and my husband before we had our send off. It was so special. I think choosing String and Sound was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made and I highly recommend them to anyone!

Jason and his team did an outstanding job handling the music for our wedding. The song he wrote for us was so beautiful and just what we wanted, we sing it all the time. Communication was prompt, and they even suggested some placement ideas to make the wedding flow smoothly. String and Sound is hands down the best live music and DJ service in Oklahoma.

String and Sound was such a great addition to our wedding! So glad they were available on our special day! They were professional but so much fun! Jason was easy going and able to give superb recommendations with our music. He was even gracious enough to help with some of the set up and tear down, on an extremely hot day! Overall, we were very satisfied with String and Sound and highly recommend them.

Jason and Molly were perfect for our intimate wedding ceremony and reception. Played lots of hits and acoustic songs! Would for sure recommend to anyone wanting a mixture of live and DJ music!

Jose and Sarah did such a great job at our wedding! They were professional and flexible from the very beginning, even helping us plan a time line for our wedding. Their musical skills were fantastic as well, going from classical music for our ceremony to Country hits and folk for our reception. They definitely made an impact on us and made our wedding experience memorable.

We are so happy to have chosen String and Sound for our wedding entertainment. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the live music was and how fun and energetic the DJ portions were. I got a little worried when I hadn't heard from Jason until the week of the wedding. Once we talked I understood why - they know their stuff! They didn't need more than a few days, maybe even hours to prepare the songs and set we wanted for our day. They are so familiar with weddings and their dynamics that I felt like Jason knew exactly what we wanted. The lighting was perfect - not too DJish to overwhelm you if you're looking for a more chill vibe. We had such a hard time deciding between a band and a DJ, so do yourself a favor and get both with String and Sound. Jason & Molly were incredible at our wedding and reception. I have never heard such beautiful music from 2 people, live. We love you guys! Worth every penny.

I would highly recommend String and Sound for your wedding or event!! Jason and Sarah were absolutely perfect in every aspect for our daughter's wedding and reception! They were timely, responsive, professional and the quality of their sound system and music selection were exactly what we were hoping for and wanting. Sarah's violin play was the perfect touch to the evening.

Zac and Molly did amazing at our wedding! Participants loved the string band as well as the DJ. My moms' friends were so excited that they played songs that they wanted as well as songs for the younger generation. Zac and Molly, as well as String and Sound, were amazing and I would highly recommend to everyone! They were very flexible with song choices and went with the flow during the wedding! Thank you all!

String and Sound were great to work with for our wedding. Jason and Molly offered acoustic live music and also DJ services, this worked very well with our ceremony and reception being held at the same venue. They are talented artists and know how to excite a crown for a reception. String and Sound was flexible to work with our requests and fair priced for all the amenities they offer. String and Sound was a big contributor to making our wedding night the fun and lively event we had envisioned. I highly recommend having Jason and Molly at your wedding! Cheers
