Hiring Brianne for partial planning and day-of coordination was one of, if not the absolute best, decisions we made for our wedding day.
It was really important to me to ensure my fiancé, our families, and I were able to fully enjoy the wedding day without worrying about or being responsible for anything pertaining to the event setup or vendor coordination. Brianne absolutely exceeded this expectation, making sure our wedding day functioned flawlessly. We had the added challenge of planning our wedding from afar as neither me nor my fiancé live in Iowa and Brianne had tons of experience supporting with “destination” weddings from other couples in similar situations to us.
When we first began working with Brianne, she provided a list of trusted vendors that she had first-hand experience working with. This was so helpful since I had no experience with any wedding vendors in Iowa. We booked the majority of our vendors based on her recommendations and to no surprise, they were all incredibly professional and exceeded our expectations on the day. Of the vendors we booked on our own who hadn’t worked with Brianne before, they were all incredibly complimentary of how organized and communicative she was. Many of them mentioned that her support made their job easier and helped them enjoy the day even more which I loved!
Throughout the entire process Brianne made it clear that she was there to execute on me and my fiancé’s wishes for our wedding and would not waiver in the face of tricky family dynamics. Not only did she stay true to her word on this, but she did so in a way that didn’t throw me or my fiancé under the bus which I am so grateful for.
She went above and beyond on multiple occasions, including printing the seating chart and bringing it to the venue, filing the marriage license for us, and even giving me, my fiancé, and some of the wedding party a ride back from rehearsal when we couldn’t get an Uber.
Brianne and her assistant, Ellie, were the keys to our wedding day running smoothly and I know without a doubt that their planning and coordination helped everyone (guests and vendors alike) have a great experience which was my top priority in planning our wedding.
Throughout the entire process Brianne was professional and pleasant to work with. She is extremely detail-oriented, communicative, polite yet direct, and easy to be around.
If you’re looking for a wedding planner and/or day-of coordinator in Iowa or Illinois, I really cannot recommend Brianne enough! -

We were uncertain if we would need a wedding coordinator, but the first meeting with Brianne answered questions we had and made us consider factors that had not crossed our mind. It was evident that her expertise would be a blessing for our planning and day of coordination. I appreciate her guiding us, helping prioritize what is important, and getting to know us as a couple.
Our wedding day was truly Stress Free. Even when we realized I forgot my veil at the hotel, Brianne and her assistant were on it! Her timeline skills were impressive. We really did not need to think about anything the day of our wedding other than being present, which is exactly what we wanted. Please hire Brianne for your wedding, it will be the best decision. -

We cannot say enough good things about Brianne. Coming from someone who literally was a giant stress-ball for our 18 month engagement, I had no worries the day of our wedding. I knew that if anything happened, Bri would handle it. Throughout the planning process, Bri’s monthly checklists were super helpful to ensure nothing was missed. The day of the wedding, Bri and her assistant were absolute rockstars. It was so nice to not have to worry about anything but enjoying our day. We are so grateful for Bri being a part of making our day perfect. -

The best wedding planner!!
Brianne (Stress-Free Weddings) truly made our wedding day perfect! Everything about our day ran so smoothly all because of her. She is so thorough and goes above and beyond any expectation. She put so much time and work in just to make sure our day was everything we wanted and more. Not only just the day of, but she made the planning process leading up to the wedding go smoothly also. She has so much knowledge and has the best recommendations when it comes to vendors and planning in general. She saved us and our families so much stress, and I seriously can't recommend her enough! I could not have imagined my wedding without her. We are so thankful to have found such an amazing wedding planner! 10/10! -

Brianne is nothing short of a godsend! She was incredible to work with, and we would hire her again in a heartbeat. Brianne helped us plan and execute an exquisite multi-cultural wedding in a relatively short period of time. She is prepared, communicative, caring, and supportive. She kept us organized and broke down our to-do lists into manageable pieces. She helped us find our vendors and was the point of contact for all of them. She attended meetings with us with the vendors and gave us advice when it came time to make decisions. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without her!
Our wedding consisted of two ceremonies in one day (Hindu in the morning and Jewish in the evening). Brianne was knowledgeable about both cultures and coordinated with the priest and officiant to ensure everything went the way we wanted it to. She even brought multiple assistants on the day of the wedding which helped it all run smoothly.
We can’t speak highly enough about Brianne! We would recommend her to everyone we know. She really went above and beyond. We were asked all night by our wedding guests who our planner was because she did such a phenomenal job. The only sad part about being married now is that we don’t get to work with her anymore. Hire Brianne, you won’t regret it!

I was frozen with decision fatigue when it came to wedding planning. My friend recommended I talked to Bri and we instantly clicked! She was able to find us the BEST vendors for our day even when we were on at time crunch. She refused to let us settle for just "ok" and made sure we were getting everything we wanted for our big day. I can honestly say our wedding would have been DRASTICALLY different (not in a good way) if it wasn't for Bri.
It was a blessing to have her looking at the little details so we could focus on the FUN parts and spending time with each other and our family. Bri was there for the rehearsal and day-of making sure everything ran smoothly and taking on both little/big tasks so they didn't fall on our families.
Bri was so easy to talk to and reach whenever we needed her. I even had a moment of panic while making decisions and she went out of her way to meet with our vendor and take some of those decisions off of my plate. Just knowing she was there to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and ensure we weren't missing anything was such a stress relief.
She will also let loose on the dance floor at the end of the night ;) -

Brianne was so helpful in helping me plan our wedding. She looked at my reception venue with me to see what all was still needed, helped me create a schedule for the wedding day and shared it with all our vendors, answered countless emails with all my questions, made sure we were on track to get the important things done in time, and gave great feedback and advice! When we had to completely change up all our plans for the wedding only 6 days out because of covid she talked with all of our vendors to get them rescheduled to our new date for the reception, she worked with us to figure out how to make an outdoor ceremony work last minute, called in a friend the night before our wedding to do my makeup, ran the rehearsal the night before, made sure everything ran smoothly the day of, and all while being calm and collected! If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have been able to throw together the wedding ceremony I had or be able to handle the stress of everything the last couple of months! Everyone should have a wedding planner like Bri for their wedding, I just wish I would have found her sooner!! -

Knowing that the bride to be was finishing up school and planning a wedding was going to be stressful, Brianne was a smart choice. She kept the bride on schedule, provided informative data and was there when needed, even if for an unscheduled phone call.
Day of, her and her team were so helpful, valuable and so calming. She kept the bride and family stress free.
Highly recommend her and her team! 5 stars just isn't enough. 10 stars!

Working with Brianne was AMAZING! She is kind, professional, incredibly knowledgeable in the industry and an all around great person. She took the time to understand our vision and then she made it happen. Even through the unknowns with Covid 19 she never once skipped a beat. We are forever grateful to Brianne for making our dream wedding possible. Working with her is a MUST if you are planning a wedding. Brianne was incredible to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! She checked in monthly and sent to-do lists to help us stay on track. When vendors were hard to reach, Brianne contacted them to set up meetings and to finalize details. She also reminded us of details that we hadn’t considered before. Because our wedding had to change due to COVID-19 local regulations, Brianne made sure we had the most up-to-date information and that we knew how to keep our guests comfortable and safe. She has some amazing resources to keep everything organized like her seating chart and day-of timeline. We originally hired Brianne to help us on the wedding day however we were grateful to have her help us navigate the issues that came up with Covid. She was quick to respond to our questions and concerns and it was nice to have her checking in with us and providing checklists along the way. Although we were very organized, her experience provided us with ideas and suggestions that were very helpful. On the day of the wedding it was so nice to be able to just enjoy the day and know that Brianne was following up with all vendors and making sure everything was taken care of! We worked with Bri for our wedding in November of 2019 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I'm a Project Manager by trade so I'm a pretty organized person but I also knew that I needed someone to run point the day of my wedding so I could focus on getting married and having a great time. Bri was absolutely perfect. She helped with vendor contract review and checklists for a full year before the wedding and she was extremely responsive any time we reached out. If anything went awry the day of my wedding - I didn't know. Which was PERFECT. I'm so happy we decided to work with her for our special day. 110% worth it! -

When my husband and I first set out to find a wedding planner, we knew it had to be someone who knew exactly what they were doing, no hesitation, and no tip-toeing around whatever we said. We needed someone who would give us structure and direction, but someone who listened to what we wanted and executed our vision promptly. My husband and I planned our West Des Moines wedding while living overseas for the entire duration of the planning process. Brianne Ackerland exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Going into the process, we didn't realize how many fine details we'd need to address from overseas. Brianne went out of her way for absolutely everything and she DELIVERED. Even with the 8 hour time difference, Brianne worked her schedule around us for calls, video chats, decision-making between family members, vendors, details, etc., all the way up to the end of our wedding day. On the Day Of, Brianne took on her leadership role with pride and made everyone in the wedding party feel at ease. The schedule that we created together was on-point for the entire night. If anything got off-schedule, it wouldn't have mattered. Brianne took care of it immediately, and did so with class. We are so blessed to have been able to work with Brianne. As an aside, we are grateful to have gotten to know her as her throughout the planning process. Brianne is incredibly supportive, caring, confidant, determined, and knows how to get even the most absurd requests done for us. Thank you, Brianne, for EVERYTHING. -

It doesn’t matter how organized and detailed-oriented you think you are, hiring Brianne as our wedding planner was truly one of the best parts of the whole process. Mother-of-the-bride lived in one state, mother-of-the-groom lived in another all the while the couple was living in Europe for the year. Brianne helped pull us all together for an amazing event and we are most grateful and appreciative of everything she did for our families. We were able to enjoy the entire process with Brianne’s knowledge and expertise and not once did we have to worry about a thing. Even our cars were all loaded up at the end of the wedding reception…all we had to do was get in and drive away. -

As an out of town bride, it was nice to know someone was local and able to do things on my behalf if needed. She'll answer all emails within 24 hours but probably a lot sooner. She's very good at keeping you calm when you don't feel like something is turning out like you'd hoped! At the end of our night, my mom said to me, "I'm so glad you had a planner. I would not have been able to help you pull all of this off...". Also, the discounts with vendors that she regularly works with was nice. I think we saved close to $500 just in those discounts. She definitely knows what she's doing! Highly recommend!

Shondria Sent on 01/27/2015My wedding was 12-13-14. I was 6 months into planning my wedding and instead of being a happy bride, I was becoming an overwhelmed and depressed bride. It didn't help that I was working 6 days a week working around 50+ hours or the fact that I had a very interesting family dynamic or that I was having problems getting my wedding crew to follow through on things that needed to be done. I found Brianne here on Wedding Wire and had my first meeting and we instantly connected. I told my now hubby that we needed her and after all the stress that he saw we were going through, he agreed. First off, Brianne was more than just a wedding planner, she was like the big sis/champion that I never had who fought the hard battles like getting everyone on the same page and doing what needed to be done. She guided us through the whole wedding process step by step which was fantastic since Matt and I had never been to a wedding and didn't really know that it was so involved. People say the wedding is about the Bride and Groom and here we were trying to make it about everyone else BUT us and that was where the problems came in. When Brianne came in, the first thing she said to me was "If you continue to plan your wedding the way you're doing now, you are going to be an unhappy bride. Let me do my job which is to take care of you and Matt so you two can have the wedding YOU want." After that, my plain red, black, and white themed wedding turned into the Game of Thrones "Red Wedding" and I truly started to be excited about our wedding. And on days I needed to vent about work, wedding, or whatever, she was a phone call away. I swear we talked for hours! She truly is a wonderful wedding planner making sure all the vendors we picked did things exactly how we wanted and if we needed to make changes, she was right on top of it.
