  Katya and Arthur are a great couple to work with. We first met them at their home studio and were immediately impressed with their work. When we did our engagement shoot in Philadelphia with them, it was like they did not want to stop! We ended up doing more locations than we had originally planned for and ended up with beautiful pictures. Their style of photography is unique and they are able to see things that we would not have noticed at all. For example, at one crowded location, we have pictures that made it seem like we were the only ones there. During the planning process, they had us create a timeline so we could capture everything we wanted and went over it in detail with us a few days before the events. On our wedding day, they arrived early to capture everything from the very beginning. Both Katya and Arthur were very professional throughout the process and tried to capture as many moments as possible. They have creative minds and we cannot wait to see our wedding pictures!

  My wife and I had a unique wedding. She is Serbian and I am Indian. It was a true fusion wedding / reception with both a hindu ceremony and a western christian ceremony. We were looking for a group of photographers that understood the unique aspects of both wedding because we knew they expertise would enable them to capture the most important moments.
  My wife works in fashion and has a very artistic eye. When we found Storymotion we loved their work.
  
  Since we reside in NYC and were getting married in Baltimore, MD. Meeting vendors had to occur at specific times and required flexibility. Katya and Arthur were very easy to work with and communicate with. They took time on the phone, on skype and in person to go over every aspect of our wedding - the timeline, the photos we wanted and style of photos we were looking for. We booked an additional engagement photo session in NYC with them. The photographs they provided here were amazing. We photographed in two locations - Central Park and our local neighborhood in Soho. When we saw our photographs were were blown away. They turned a simple walk in our neighborhood into fantastic photo opportunities using everyday things we walk past like bicycles, billboards and graphite walls into breath taking photographs.

  On our wedding date, Arthur and Katya went above and beyond what we expected from them. My wife jokes to this date this that Katya was her honorary bridesmaid, helping with her with her Indian outfit, as well as her wedding dress. Arthur helped through the day keeping us on time and myself calm during times of chaos. We cannot wait to see our wedding photos.

  I could not be happier with StoryMotion Studios. Their photos are amazing! I am not very photogenic and usually look much better in real life than photos. But StoryMotion managed to capture those moments where I looked beautiful and natural which made me so very happy! Even my husband's mother looked younger on those photos. They managed to capture moments that very simultaneously flattering and natural. Besides the portraits the wedding pictures are a well balanced mixture between funny moments, little details of the décor, sweet monments between my husband and me. Some are just beautiful photos as far as light/mood/composition. Its really great because its a nice portrait of the wedding itself not just people, the mood we had that special day. I can imagine showing it to my kids and telling them what an amazing day that was.

  My best friend (and bridesmaid) used StoryMotion 4 years ago for her wedding and her photos were beautiful! I was a bridesmaid in her wedding and had fun doing the pre-wedding photos. They knew what areas had the most scenic views and the best colors throughout downtown Annapolis. They were flawless!
  So when my husband and I started planning our wedding, immediately thought of StoryMotion! They were available! The readily mailed the contract, outlining everything to a "t", which was great. About 1 month prior to the wedding, they sent a document to fill out to include what photos we wanted done during the pre-ceremony photo, at church and during the reception. The document was so thorough and it made you think of what you did and didn't want. I was also able to update them the week of the wedding with any changes. They also had a very thorough itinerary for our wedding day.
  As soon as they arrived at my parents house for the pre-ceremony, it started raining. Nothing to fear, they quickly took my dress and accessories outside to take pictures under the Japanese maple, and they are amazing! They were great about using props around the house, to make the photos more special. We were able to get onto the Naval Academy and take amazing drizzling rain photos with beautiful umbrellas and it just pops! You can't even tell it's raining. They also had great candid shots of the bridal party horsing around while we took pictures.
  The reception photos are awesome! We actually didn't have table by table photos, but somehow everyone there was in the photos. They got some amazing shots! They were very attentive and making sure that we didn't miss any group shots or people. They hung out until about 10pm.
  About 2 months after our wedding, our website with slideshow was available to view. We have had 3 viewing parties with family and friends, and the compliments were endless.

  StoryMotion Studios recently photographed our wedding last week in Potomac, MD. Though we have not received our albums yet (we just got married one week ago!), we absolutely loved working with Katya and Arthur. They are truly professional, and extremely organized. Before our wedding, we had completed a detailed information sheet on our event, followed up by a lengthy conversation. This definitely ensured that our day went very smoothly. They were prompt and adhered to our schedule for the day. Many of our guests commented that our photographers did not "interfere" with the wedding, which was very important to us. Arthur and Katya both have a great eye, and we have been able to see a few sneak pics! We can't wait for the rest!! Thank you both!!

  StoryMotion Studios did an amazing job with my wedding photography and I could not have been happier with the overall experience! They were incredibly approachable, flexible, kind and professional through it all.   My wedding was November 27, 2013. My family and I have worked with Storymotion Studios in the past and have always had such a pleasant experience. From the beginning to the end of the process, Storymotion studios are so organized and creative. They were always very quick to respond every time I contacted them to discuss the wedding and took out a lot of time making sure we went through all the details. I didn't have anything to worry about on my wedding day because they showed up on time as always and had all the notes that we had discussed before. They made sure that they covered everything that I wanted to be covered, and would check in with me throughout the shoots. They also have a way of taking beautiful pictures without disturbing any of the ceremony. I love how they always use the surroundings to create the most creative poses that I would never have thought of. They are exceptionally great at taking family portraits. They have an eye to create balanced and well thought out / yet fun pictures even when the group is very large. I really loved that they were willing to try ideas that I thought of at the time and always adjusted to changing situations. They always have a smile on their face and make the whole experience very relaxing and pleasant. My family and friends even commented that they loved how my photographers were so pleasant and cheerful. Also, after previous family weddings, I would constantly be asked about the photography because my friends found them to be very unique and very professional. I would recommend story motion studios to anyone who is looking for really high quality, creative yet classic pictures at their wedding, and for someone who is looking to work with a fun and very professional team!

While others entered the industry by chance, the fact that they have academic backgrounds in art makes a difference. They are also incredibly detail-oriented and put in as much time and effort in developing and managing the timeline and logistics as the wedding coordinator, which was key to making the day a success. They are non-intrusive and respectful, work as discreetly as possible, and are sensitive to the needs/concerns of the couple above all else. Of all the vendors, the photographers are the ones you interact with the most, and Katya and Arthur have personalities which are soothing during stressful moments.

  Katya and Arthur are an amazing team, our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them. We fell instantly in love with StoryMotion the day we met, we were so at ease and loved everything we saw. Other vendors can be so overeager to sell their product and push you, but with StoryMotion, their photos sell themselves. I can't stop looking through our photos even 8 months after our wedding! They truly capture your special day, so detail oriented and so receptive to everything that you hope for and more! We had a combined Western and Hindu wedding, and they captured every important moment beautifully. We are constantly receiving compliments on our photos. I've heard from so many people about how they could only print 1 or 2 photos because they were not happy with their final product. With Katya and Arthur at StoryMotion, it's a guarantee that you will have a hard time picking which photos to put up in your home. We will definitely be working with them in the future for other important events, and so excited for it!

  Katya and Aurthur covered our entire wedding. They are wonderful and very professional. Katya stayed by my side the entire wedding day, capturing amazing images. They are very calm a delight to work with. Not only are they both a great at heart but their photography skill the best. I loved all of the images from our wedding.

  I absolutely love StoryMotion Studios. Katya and Arthur are the best wedding photographers out there. While their images speak for themselves, it's also important to know that they are incredibly hardworking. During our engagement shoot, they took us to several different locations and spent hours taking our photos. My husband (fiance at the time) and I were exhausted and I'm sure they must have been too, but they didn't show it one bit. Katya is so detail oriented - if you hire them, don't worry about hiring a wedding planner. She is a wedding encyclopedia. I asked her a question about veils and she sent me an email about a page long describing different veils and sending me photographs of them as well. She also helped me find vendors. Katya and Arthur compliment each other so well - they are the perfect team. We are looking forward to seeing the wedding photos - we know they will be amazing. It's so nice to feel confident about pictures you haven't even seen taken during your most special day.

  This review comes long overdue. Katya and Arthur were our photographers for both our engagement session and wedding. I can tell you, hands down, this was the best money we spent on anything wedding-related. We had other great vendors, for sure, but everyday when I see our beautiful pictures on the wall, I know we made the best choice in photographers.
  They have an easy, laid-back way about them that immediately puts you at ease in front of the camera, and we actually had fun! I'm fairly self conscious and don't consider myself very photogenic, so this is not something that comes naturally to me. I was so nervous prior to our engagement shoot, I never would have imagined that we'd have a total blast. They somehow convinced us to pose in the middle of a street, cars whizzing by, people all around... yet at that moment it felt like just us, and the photo conveys that energy - just one example of the many creative and unique ways they interpret your surroundings and everyday items and make magic.
  In addition to being exceptional behind the lens, their organization really helped our wedding day progress in as timely a manner as possible, and they played as much a part in the execution of our timeline as our coordinator.
  I have been meaning to write this review for ages, and the tipping point came a few weeks ago. My grandmother passed away after a long battle with cancer. As we were out of town, I emailed Katya and asked if she could find this one photo of her in our thousands of pictures, and email it to me ... all during a weekend of wedding season. Not only did she get it back to me as soon as possible, but she had also cropped/resized the image so that it would look the best in the size we planned to print.
  
  Bottomline: there are artists and there are picture-takers who know how to Instagram. StoryMotion are artists in the finest sense of the word. The memories they captured are absolutely priceless and unique masterpieces sure to be treasured forever.

As we were out of town, I emailed Katya and asked if she could find this one photo of her in our thousands of pictures, and email it to me ... all during a weekend of wedding season. Not only did she get it back to me as soon as possible, but she had also cropped/resized the image so that it would look the best in the size we planned to print.
  
  Bottomline: there are artists and there are picture-takers who know how to Instagram. StoryMotion are artists in the finest sense of the word. The memories they captured are absolutely priceless and unique masterpieces sure to be treasured forever.

If you select them as photographers you will understand. They spent hours interviewing us to fully understand the things that were important to us, to fully understand our personalities, to coach us on what to expect on the big day, and how to work together to get the best shots. They made sure that they understood both of our cultures (Indian and Korean) and made sure that had studied bot of our families and our closest friends prior to the wedding so that the could capture photos of not only us, but those of our families and friends while letting us enjoy the big night. Their communication was clear and their punctuality was excellent during the entire process and their creativity and artistic eye made for some AMAZING memories. I would love to use them for any memorable event because their attention to detail and their desire to do their homework to make sure that they understand what is important to you is unbelievable, plus they love to have fun with you! The price tag may seem high, but make sure you visit them and check out their work before making your decision. You will be blown away!

  We absolutely loved to work with Kayta and Arthur, not only did the pictures turned out great but we also had a fun time doing it. There were so many pictures to pic and our biggest problem was to pick out the best pictures since there were so many. They acted very professional and made you feel very very comfortable. I never thought taking pictures together would be so much fun and I felt like I've know Arthur and Katya forever. If your want to have unforgettable pictures that looks like no other, then pick Arthur and Katya. You wont regret it! They will make you feel comfortable and have so much fun at the same time and the best part is the beautiful pictures.

From beginning to end, the experience was seamless -- they took care of everything, I met with Katya only once, because we were planning a long-distance reception, but I had nothing to worry about, they handled everything! It was obvious from the final pictures that a lot of care went into curating and finalizing the album. We were really happy with the photos and the album -- one of the coolest shots from the reception was an arial shot that Arthur took from the ceiling (50ft high)! I highly recommend Storymotion studios, Katya and Arthur are great! Thanks for everything :)

  Story Motion did our Engagement Session along with our wedding -- They were AMAZING... and extreamly friendly. We have a very large family and getting our family pictures taken after the ceremony was very organized. Also, the pictures of our bridal party and pictures of my husband and I were very unique and creative. I would highly recommend this company to any bride.
