My husband and I got married in July of this year, and it was magical and perfection!! Stonegate Manor is breathtakingly beautiful! It was exactly what we were looking for, and so much more. This is a wonderful venue! The staff cares about making your event fantastic. They are flexible and accommodating. The venue works with a close network of servicers that provide a fantastic service. There was minimal stress in planning our wedding and on our wedding day.Stonegate Manor's reply:

My fiancé and I absolutely loved our wedding at Stonegate Manor! It was everything we could have ever dreamt of. Prudy was so professional but also extremely personable and attentive to our wishes and needs. Due to planning a wedding in the midst of COVID, I had no idea whether I wanted an intimate or larger wedding, or if I wanted to be indoors our outdoors due to restrictions. After several emails with Prudy, my fiancé and I decided this would be the best venue to give us everything we possible could need for a wedding.
Prudy absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had no worries the entire day. The decorations that came with the package were BEAUTIFUL to say the least, the venue provided a STUNNING cheese board that our guests STILL are talking about weeks later! We had a short ceremony, and a small reception under the tent, lawn games, and we decided to add on some additional details. We rented the dance floor, had a 2 hour serving from Imperial Taco truck (our guests were traveling 3 hours to the venue, so we wanted to provide them with a dinner along with the appetizer board). We did an open bar, champagne toast with short speeches, brought a polaroid camera/set up and Prudy provided a beautiful ring light/frame for us to use. Everything was absolutely perfect.
If you are on the fence of having an intimate wedding, I say just do it! I did not want to plan a lot, or worry about decor and they handled it all for me, aside from the additional details I wanted to have to make the day extra special to me and my guests (taco truck, bar, polaroids, etc). As soon as we heard Stonegate Manor was offering micro weddings, we knew this would be the perfect wedding venue for us. I worked with Classic Catering at Stonegate’s venue many times, and I can tell you that Prudy and Tom always treat their guests, and their business partners’ employees, with the utmost respect. We knew we wanted a venue where we could have a small, intimate, no-fuss wedding with our closest friends and family. Stonegate gave us just that. We loved that we had the choice of having what needed provided (officiant, flowers, cake) or we could provide it ourselves. The package came with the cute and whimsical Fairy Garden for the ceremony and the gorgeous vintage Manor House for the reception. The owners gave us room to do our thing but were always available as soon as we needed them. We really can’t describe how amazing the day was. It was more than we ever expected and we can’t thank Stonegate Manor enough. If you have the chance, we highly recommend them!

The location was fantastic, loved the ceremony location and the tent especially. We had a small drizzle that normally would have been a bit of a dampener for an outdoor location, but with the tent and pavilion I barely even noticedStonegate Manor's reply:

10/5 When my now husband and I first saw Stonegate we knew we had to get married there. We traveled across the state to get married here and everything was absolutely perfect. Prudy and Tom are beyond amazing and will try and do everything to make your day perfect. During our reception we had a regional power outage and Stonegate had generators up and running in under 15 minutes! The grounds are beyond beautiful and allow your guests room to explore (and allows for gorgeous pictures!) and the buildings just as gorgeous. Our guests are still talking about it. With COVID regulations Stonegate was amazing at keeping everything running smoothly, even after having to move our wedding out a year, and the new permanent tent made for an AMAZING evening. If you are looking to get married, wherever you are from, I seriously cannot recommend this venue enough. I would not have changed a thing. Thank you Prudy and Tom!! ❤❤Stonegate Manor's reply:

Stonegate Manor was the perfect venue! They were accommodating, the location is beautiful, and they were genuinely happy for us. They go above and beyond for their couples. We took part in their micro wedding package and loved the experience. It was short, sweet, and just what we were looking for. They took care of many of the details for us like the cake, officiant, and bouquet and boutonniere, all of which were wonderful. Plus, the manor house and grounds are so beautiful even casual cell phone photos turned out amazing! If you are looking for a stress-free experience (or as close to it as possible on your wedding day) then Stonegate Manor is the place!Stonegate Manor's reply:

My wife and I decided to go a different route with our wedding and wanted to do something different. We saw this as an option and headed to see the Venue and the staff was very nice and professional and tailored their service to our needs. My wife Loved the Venue and said it could have not been a better way to do it. The Staff assisted throughout the wedding day to make sure it was easy for us and they allowed us to stay over our scheduled time to make sure we got all of our pictures in. We highly recommend this venue if you want to do a "Covid Safe " wedding or any type of wedding venue. 10/10!Stonegate Manor's reply:

We absolutely LOVED our small wedding at Stonegate Manor. Due to Covid, our initial venue canceled. We found Stonegate Manor four days before our ceremony. Prudy (the owner) was super accommodating, the price was very reasonable, and they even provided a lovely wedding officiant. The property is gorgeous and as a result our photos turned out stunning. Stonegate Manor made my wedding perfect!
If you're looking for a beautiful outdoor setting with options for ceremony and reception spacing, Stonegate is the venue for you! Tom and Prudy made planning my wedding as stress-free as possible (especially during a pandemic). They were extremely responsive and answered any question I had. They were so flexible and made sure that every detail was to my liking. The price is GREAT compared to other outdoor venues. We had our ceremony in the Fairy Garden and the reception outside under a large tent with lights. It was everything I dreamt of and more, and it wouldn't have happened without Tom and Prudy.Stonegate Manor's reply:

Exceptional Service, Quality, and Beauty Await with Stonegate Manor!
At Stonegate Manor you will feel more like family than a business transaction. The owner, Prudy Nelson, is kind, professional, detail-oriented, communicative, and trustworthy. Every step of the way she was clear about our options and honest about anything that may have come up to change circumstances. We felt valued during our wedding planning and very cared for. This was ESPECIALLY appreciated during the Covid-19 times with the changing uncertainty.
We had a unique opportunity to partake in the "Petite Wedding." Stonegate was agile in responding to Covid-19 restrictions by creating an inclusive package for 30 guests. Never in my wildest dreams could this have gone better. It was totally stress free - allowing for a few classy choices on flowers, cake, table coverings and centerpieces, the ceremony & reception sites, music, tables, yard games, and the use of the rare gem of a manor house in which to ready ourselves and bridal party.
Details & getting it right, as well as constant - and accurate, worry-free communication are a niche for Stonegate. This level of service was exceptional for me, and it will be for you too! We were able to schedule a complete walkthrough of the gorgeous grounds, 2 possible ceremony sites, rain optional planned space, the interior of the fully restored Edwardian style Victorian manor house, carriage house, and reception hall. Words cannot describe the beauty and peace in this place. I will forever cherish my wedding day at Stonegate Manor because of the unique and timeless style it offered us.
Prudy Nelson and team delivered flawlessly. We were also given documentation far beyond our expectation when it came to the contract language, amendments, and proof of payment. Use Prudy's preferred vendors for an even better experience. Kitty Lee Photography and Classic Catering were our choice vendors and did a phenomenal job as well. We would not have even known about them if it had not been for Stonegate's preferred vendor lists. This helped immensely as we planned out our wedding on the fly. Every part of our experience went so well.
If you are looking for your dream wedding venue and have any doubt, just schedule the tour. You will be amazed by the stunning property, the care and concern of the owners, and the smooth process that awaits you during planning. We are so glad that we discovered Stonegate Manor for our small family ceremony! To start, it is so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to get a photo op at the beach in our casual clothes before the ceremony. Then when we arrived at Stonegate, there was plenty of space in the beautiful manor house for us to change into our ceremony outfits. And speaking of photo ops, the grounds are beautiful and have tons of options for beautiful backdrops. We chose the Fairy Garden as our location, and since we were planning our wedding on a very short timeline, we didn’t have any extra decorations. We didn’t need them! It was the perfect secluded spot for us to say our vows with our family members, both human and canine (did we mention Stonegate is dog friendly?!).
As I mentioned, we were planning our wedding with only about a month’s notice, and at first we thought that we’d just go to the courthouse. We can’t say how glad we are that we chose Stonegate instead. While we wanted the day to be a casual, stress free event, we also wanted it to be special and memorable. Having an elopement package that includes flowers, cake and other extras eliminated planning stress and decision fatigue, and Prudy is so easy to work with and was able to accommodate the requests we did have to make the day uniquely ours. If you are planning on having your wedding at Stonegate Manor, expect personalized customer service, consistent communication, and a warm welcome when you arrive for your big day.Stonegate Manor's reply:

Amazing Venue and Staff!
This is one hidden gem that I am so glad I came across. It was one of the first venues I saw online that caught my eye and the first one I saw in person. It had everything Grant and I could have wanted including an open Saturday in September! I met with Prudy during my first visit and she was so kind and full of helpful information. The grounds were perfect for us and the Fairy Garden was exactly what we had envisioned for an outdoor ceremony. Before the end of that day, I was working with her to secure our wedding date! Her and Tom were so quick to reply to all communication and sent out helpful tips along the way. Stonegate also has items that you can borrow for your day and ones you can rent through them which is very convenient--their vintage furniture collection is awesome! During the wedding planning process, Prudy announced they had a Month-of Coordinator that would be available for a limited amount of dates for the upcoming wedding months. Thankfully, Grant and I listened to his parents and hired Jen. We could not have done this without her!! Of all the decisions we made, that was by far the best one (after booking this venue of course!). She truly was a pleasure to work with and we knew our wedding day was in good hands with her. All the random "check-in" texts or emails from her were so thoughtful and she always made it known she was there for us with whatever questions we might have as we planned our perfect day. We had multiple family members and guests comment on her work ethic that day and how she had answers to any questions. We also have some great pictures that showcase this :) We would highly recommend not only the venue, but hiring Jen as well! Stonegate Manor was the best decision we made for our wedding!
Stonegate Manor is absolutely beautiful! My husband and I got married in the Fairy Garden, which is one of their three ceremony spots on the property! I have never worked with a better group of people! Prudy, Tom, & Jen are next to none. Their customer service & how they care for their brides made our decision very easy. The Stonegate team are willing to do what ever they can to make your dreams come true. I asked them many different questions about moving or changing something and they were always open to it and always searched for a way to make it work. Not a lot of my guests have been to the Benton Harbor area before but after leaving they made sure to mention to us how much they loved our venue. We got stunning pictures because of how beautiful and green the property is. I never wanted to leave. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to have the biggest day of your life at Stonegate Manor. It was the best decision we made for our wedding. Stonegate Manor is the prettiest venue. We were blessed with a gorgeous day- low 70s on a late August evening. Everything about the grounds, the manor house, ceremony sites and reception space embodied everything I’ve ever dreamt of for my wedding day. It made for absolutely beautiful photos! The Fairy garden was a dream ceremony space. Guests raved about the lawn and outdoor seating and bar because they got to enjoy the gorgeous summer night. The kids loved the lawn games and the grounds gave them plenty of room to run around and be kids. I am so thankful for Prudy and all her help with planning our wedding. She ordered linens for us, made the floor plan and helped me stay on top of things up until the big day. The Stonegate boutique allowed us to borrow vintage decor and items that made our budget appear to be way larger than it really was. You don’t have to break the bank on decor because Prudy has it all for you to use. I wish I could do it all over again because it was that perfect !Stonegate Manor's reply:

We were very pleased with everything at Stonegate. It is breathtakingly beautiful, the staff is helpful, and they offer so much! The Stonegate boutique honestly was such a blessing. It just is so silly to purchase the decorations to use them once. I loved it. It was beautiful, there are several gorgeous options for where to have the ceremony, and they offer lawn games to keep guests entertained the entire time. It was the perfect day. Elegant and Professional
Stonegate’s elegance and professionalism is top drawer and key to the success of what was a gorgeous ceremony, delicious dinner and desserts, as well as a blast dancing and playing lawn games throughout the evening.
They provided guidance, consulting and coaching throughout the entire process. We are not local and they helped us secure all our vendor. The Month of Coordinator, Jen is amazing and we cannot imagine how we would have managed pulling everything together without her, as well as the owners Prudy and Tom.Stonegate Manor's reply:

Stonegate was one of the first and best decisions we made when planning our wedding! From the minute we reached out to Prudy to schedule a visit to the night of the wedding, she was super responsive and easy to communicate with. She was always quick to answer any questions we had to make sure we felt totally comfortable with how our big day was shaping up. We also used several items from both the Stonegate boutique and rental list, which was a very easy process. We were absolutely blown away by the grounds when we visited, and I still hear from guests about how beautiful the setting was. I ended up hiring Jen Marren for a Month of Wedding planner and definitely worth the cost ! Jen was amazing! I just loved everything about this property! We had our wedding at Stonegate on June 8, 2019. The whole experience working with the staff was amazing. They are all so friendly and professional. Their response time to emails was really quick.
We chose the Fairy Garden for the ceremony. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting. The Garden was lush and green and completely romantic. For the reception we used the lawn and Riverside Room. The Riverside Room is charming and full of antique touches that make the venue so unique.
There is a bridal cottage and Manor House you can rent for the day to get ready in - which we did. The Manor House is this Victorian beauty that is a perfect backdrop for pictures.
The whole property is just gorgeous and I don't think you can find anything else like it. Our wedding was perfect and yours will be, too!Stonegate Manor's reply:

When my wife and I started looking for venues in Western Michigan, Stonegate Manor was the first one we saw, and fell in love immediately. In the following four months we visited at least a dozen other venues, but none compared to Stonegate manor. Prudy, Jen, Tom, and the entire staff at Stonegate Manor made our day amazing and stress free. Stonegate Manor was the perfect setting for our October 2018 wedding. The grounds are gorgeous, and the fall woods surrounding the fairy garden were the most amazing background for our ceremony. Prudy and her team were beyond accommodating, kindly answering a slew of questions leading up to the day, and even allowing us some extra decorating time because we were an all DIY wedding. We brought a whole trailer of things, even our own fireplace, and Prudy and her team took it all in stride, constantly kind and gracious. The grounds and the house offer so many locations for special moments and photographs. We did a no-look first look in the house that I will cherish the beautiful images from. The house also gave us a great spot to sign our license and take a moment with each other before beginning the party.
I loved that Stonegate felt like the best of bost worlds: an intimate country estate, and an enchanted woods straight out of a fairy tale. Thank you so much, Prudy. From the very beginning Prudy was wonderful to work with and quick in her responses to any inquires we had. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! The carriage house is perfect to get ready in and stay separate from the guys and guests that may arrive early. It is spacious and allows for plenty of room for your hair and makeup team. The Manor House offers some unique opportunities for photos and a great place for family members & groomsmen to wait. The fairy garden provides the perfect shady spot to exchange your vows. The seating website Tom & Prudy use allows you to easily envision what your reception hall will look like, and they set it up & break down all the tables and chairs. Prudy also has an attic full of decorations you can borrow. Stonegate Manor provides the perfect spot for an elegant wedding. We loved every minute of our ceremony and reception despite the fact that it was miserably hot the day of our wedding. Tom and Prudy worked tirelessly through the heat to make sure ceremony chairs were set up and everything was running smoothly in the reception hall. I would give Stonegate Manor 10 stars if the option was available. It is a beautiful location with wonderful amenities. Tom & Prudy are great people to work with. They make sure they understand your vision and are in constant contact to ensure everything runs smoothly.Stonegate Manor's reply:

Layne Sent on 09/06/2018Stonegate Manor is absolutely magical, I can't think of a word that would describe it better! I fell in love with it immediately and I honestly cannot imagine marrying my best friend at a better place.
From the very beginning they were extremely nice, timely, and available. Prudy (and Tom and the rest of their team) were always available to answer any questions, and they have so much wedding knowledge and information to share. Prudy even tried to problem solve a last minute mix up for us that had absolutely nothing to do with the venue. It's obvious that they truly care about all the couples who get married at their venue, which makes it even more special. All of our friends and family were amazed at how beautiful everything was. I appreciated all the options that they have; 2 outdoor options to get married, an indoor reception area, a perfectly vintage bridal cottage to get ready in, and a huge yard for games and just hanging out. I seriously cannot say enough good things! Conor and I would absolutely recommend Stonegate Manor to anyone who is looking to get married in southwest MI and we will never forget how wonderful our day was there.Stonegate Manor's reply:

Aine Sent on 07/14/2018We had the most wonderful time at Stonegate Manor for our wedding in late June 2018. Working with Prudy and Tom in the run up to the event itself was a breeze. Any emails and questions were answered and replied to very promptly and they genuinely want your day to be super special.
We had zero issues with the planning and organizing of the wedding.
Stonegate itself is stunning. We booked our wedding in December and had to use our imagination as to what it would like like in summer and we were not disappointed. I stopped by the venue a few times in the run up to our wedding date to see how it was coming along into Spring and early summer and it really took my breath away.
The grounds and the buildings are in exceptional condition , evidently very well cared for and maintained.
The Manor House itself is a piece of history and a work of art. Our wedding photos taken here were just beautiful.
The Bridal Cottage was the most perfect place to get ready beforehand. So elegant and cute and a short walk to the Fairy Garden and Riverside Room.
All our vendors were excellent and most had worked at Stonegate before and thoroughly enjoy doing events there.
It was my photographer’s first time at Stonegate and I know she wants to go back again to do further shoots.
We could not have asked for a better venue - private, intimate, beautiful gardens, great reception room and bathrooms and the helpfulness of Tom and Prudy.
My biggest piece of advice is go for a look around and imagine your dream wedding - we did and our wedding was magical.Stonegate Manor's reply:

My husband and I had to change our original wedding plans due to COVID-19. Stonegate manor had a package available for a great price where we could still have our same ceremony but with fewer guests. Prudy and Tom were so flexible and made sure our day was everything we wanted. The venue was beautiful and was perfect for photos. Prudy was very responsive to emails and texts. I would definitely recommend having your wedding at this venue!Stonegate Manor's reply:
