Stoltzfus is the best!
From the first time we toured, Dawn immediately made us feel like she and her team would take care of us. They kept us updated every month with all of the necessary information to plan each phase. Ginger (the day of coordinator) was fantastic - all of our guests were so impressed with her and the entire operation! The venue is stunning and we did not have to lift a finger the entire day. I wish we could do it all over again! -

Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens is a magical venue with a supportive and communicative team who will do everything to make your day perfect! As you step foot on the property you are immediately amazed by the meticulous grounds, and then you look up and take in their incredible historical barns that are connected by cozy string lights. You have the opportunity to get married in their beautiful white barn, followed by a cocktail hour in a breath-taking and relaxing oasis of a garden, and then a reception in their larger grand barn with huge open doors that give your guests a unique indoor/outdoor flow. Both barns are open canvases for any decorating style that you could imagine (use Pearls & Petals for the most outstanding flower arrangements - Megan is their daughter!), and the gardens are naturally beautiful. You can incorporate levels of DIY decorating, but they have their own "prop shop" with endless options of decor from how to display flowers during the ceremony, to fabrics and centerpiece features for the reception (their son Matt is constantly creating incredible pieces, and he works carefully with you to bring your look to life!). Even more fun is the extra experiences that you can rent through them, like a photo booth in an old camper, a s'mores station at a fire pit, and a sparkler exit! They think of everything, and they're open to other ideas to make your day just as you dreamed! Their team is a well-oiled machine who walks you through the planning process with detailed email newsletter-like updates with timeline suggestions, while also always being available for questions that they answer quickly and thoroughly. On your day they're prepared for any hiccup, but they'll handle things with grace and ease, to a level that you'll never know if something went wrong for a moment. They have rainy backup plans too, but somehow their grassy cocktail gardens absorb even days of rain prior like you'll never believe. We were able to take in every ounce of their grounds just as we hoped, including first look photos in their special "secret garden" behind beautiful wooden doors, sunset photos on their hillside overlooking everything, a quiet moment on their fun large swing, and then a private last dance while guests gathered for the sparkler exit. Of course the day goes by quickly, but by hosting the whole day with them, and using their decorating services, you get to take it at the perfect pace and you're supported and cared for throughout it all. We can't wait to take every opportunity to return and relish in the memories made there; you're forever family there, and it's felt from the first time you visit! -

Best Wedding Venue!
We had the BEST experience with having our wedding here. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and there are so many great options for ceremony spaces. It is also the perfect venue for any type of weather - rain or shine there is no stressing about your wedding day. The getting ready bridal suite was so spacious and beautiful. Dawn and Brian are the nicest people and their staff was exceptional. Having the “prop shop” is such a plus - we live out of state and didn’t have to worry about buying and bringing in all of our decor and furniture because it is all there for you! This venue is so organized with the planning process and know exactly how to make your day run smoothly. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the property and landscaping was. Having their preferred vendors list was also so nice because each vendor already knew how to best set up for the space. Communication with each person at this venue is prompt and they truly want to help you make your day happen the way you want it to. I am so grateful we chose to get married at Stoltzfus and HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone considering. Best choice we made! -

My husband and I were married here on June 17th. If you are considering booking Stoltzfus for your wedding, you will 100% not regret it. When I tell you everything was absolutely perfect, I mean it. From the day we booked our wedding date, Brian and Dawn (the owners) were so helpful, kind, and welcoming. Guests have been raving about how amazing everything was. The property is beautiful. There are so many little spaces for guests to mingle, play games, and enjoy their time during the reception. If you do choose to go with Stoltzfus, you will enjoy every minute of your wedding day and have absolutely no worries at all. I wish I can go back and relive our perfect day, all because of the amazing staff at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens!! -

Simply incredible experience. Dawn, Brian, and Ginger made us feel like we were a part of their family from the get go. Everything flowed so amazing on the wedding day and the prep beforehand was thorough and made us feel like we had nothing to worry about. The property is beautiful and the amount of time they spend on the landscaping and getting the venue ready for the day was more than we could have expected. So many of our guests asked, " where did you guys find this place?! It is beautiful!!" The amount of space and different areas around the property give you so much flexibility for pictures, ceremony, and simply for guests to enjoy throughout your wedding celebrations. We really couldn't have imagined our day to turn out any better and so much credit is due to the Stoltzfus team and Ginger for everything that goes into it behind the scenes and for the way they treated us the entire time. Highly recommend!!!

When searching for our wedding venue- we reviewed and saw many sites -we wanted a venue that felt like lancaster but was also modern- Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens was that and SO much more. In the end we felt like we were part of the family. There is history on site with the tobacco barn and grand barn while also being updated and always adding something special like the secret garden where we had our first look. Dawn, one of the co owners- is personable and detailed, your wedding will go off without a hitch. When booking you have to choose one of their DJs and Caterers from their preferred vendor list-this is so helpful because it narrows down from the abundance of vendors out there while also allowing you the freedom to choose what you want to spend. closer to the wedding we worked more with Brian and Matt-they are some of the hardest workers I know-ensuring your day goes as you wish and keeping the property trim and clean. I could say so much about this venue, it truly was the perfect day and one we will reflect on for the rest of our lives. We wish we could relive our day-but writing these reviews and trips back to the site will have to do!

The staff at Stoltzfus as well as the grounds are INCREDIBLE. From the beginning they made the wedding planning process so easy and stress free. Dawn would send bi-weekly emails in the months leading up to our wedding with tasks to complete or just information such as dog sitters in the area :) The grounds are constantly being updated with new pieces or ensuring the landscaping is beautiful! They made our wedding day stress free and everything went according to plan which I credit to Stoltzfus. Cannot say enough- highly recommend! -

This place is amazing. Not only is the venue gorgeous but the owners/workers are amazing. They have everything outlined and makes it feel like big parts to plan are a breeze to do. They go above and beyond for their couples. The day of coordinator we had was Ginger and she is amazing, she keeps you smiling the whole day. We are so blessed to have found this place and to be able to call it were we became husband and wife. -

This was the first venue my husband and I looked at and instantly fell in love! Our wedding was everything I could have imagined and more. Dawn and Brian were incredible to work with and very personable. Chela was our coordinator for the day and let me tell you that woman knew what i needed before I even knew I needed it. They also have so many props you can rent through them that give your wedding the perfect rustic touch. Do not hesitate to book your wedding here it was seriously the most perfect day and there are so many beautiful places to take pictures! -

The Best day !
The staff at Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens were all incredible! Everyone was so welcoming and easy to work with! Everything from the beginning to the end was well organized and they made all our wedding dreams come true!
The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and everything we could ask for. My husband and I are so grateful that we chose this venue for our wedding day and will be dreaming of that day for the rest of our lives. -

There are not enough good things I can say about this venue and the amazing staff who work there! Dawn was incredible from the beginning of our booking until the day of the wedding, which ended up being unexpectedly delayed by 2 years due to covid. Dawn made every step easy, and kept me calm throughout the rocky process of trying to plan an international wedding during a worldwide pandemic. The venue is stunning by itself, and the caring staff put it over the top. I cannot recommend this venue enough! Book them now!Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens's reply:

Easy, fun, & picturesque
My husband and I loved this venue! They were extremely helpful in finding/recommending other vendors such as catering/photography/hair/etc. which were all wonderful. The venue itself was beautiful from the ceremony tobacco barn to the reception grand barn and everything in between. We loved working with Dawn, Brian, and our wedding coordinator who was from the venue as well. They made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and totally at home. We didn’t feel like planning a wedding was that hard at all (and we didn’t have a huge budget) so that really says something about how much help they were. They accommodated all of our needs and we couldn’t be happier with our choice (and each other).Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens's reply:

here do I begin.....my daughter knew Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens was the place she wanted to be married the second she stepped foot on the property. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful, full of color and texture, just stunning. The two restored barns for the ceremony and reception are breathtaking. The wedding just took place this past Saturday and I could not wait to share my review. If you are thinking about having your wedding here, DO IT!! Their team is so professional and knowledgeable and everything happens without a hitch, they have their system down! I want to mention in particular Dawn who was so helpful along the 2 year planning process. Brian who was just calm and amazing the day off for both property and bartending. Chela who was our day of coordinator, don't know what we would have done without her and her pleasant and calm demeanor and her ability to keep everyone straight and on the timeline. I have control issues, LOL, but, didn't even think twice once explaining my daughter's vision for her decor and then handing off our decor. I couldn't wait to see how they utilized it and decorated everything and boy, it did not disappoint. All of our guests commented about how stunning everything was. As I danced away on the dancefloor, I looked at the tables and not one single person was still at their table, they were dancing, playing lawn games, walking the beautiful property or relaxing around the fire. That is the sign of a GREAT reception. I will end with saying that the entire day from start to finish was stress free, perfect in every way and truly magical.

The best day of my life
You know Monica from the TV show Friends? Well, that was me as a bride. I had binders, spread sheets, sticky notes, labels, everything. But Stoltzfus, Dawn and then entire staff helped me relax on my big day. I and my husband are from NJ and traveled to Stolzfus in February 2019 in the dead on winter. The grass wasn't green, the flowers were not bright in color, there was no decor set up from a prior wedding, and yet, we fell in love with the venue. The 2 hour drive home, all we talked about was how stunning it was and how simple but beautiful each building was. Throughout the 3 years of planning, I emailed Dawn every little question I had and she was quick to respond with her best suggestion. I enjoyed visited each years open house. As there are many parts i appreciated, i really appreciated how Stoltzfus suggested or required other vendors such as flowers, food, hotels. It took the stress away of finding someone. It brought ease knowing we were hiring someone who has worked with Stoltzfus and knew the staff and lay of the land. We knew we wanted a barn wedding and Stoltzfus just amazed us. You would never know there was a housing community right behind the venue. I can not rave enough about the staff. All of our guest commented how beautiful the land was, how we were able to enjoy an indoor/outside wedding, how all the staff were so nice and accommodating, and our favorite part, we were able to have our fur baby apart of our special day. If there were any issues on our wedding day, we had no clue and tat is all due to the staff working their magic. I wish everyday was our wedding day so we can just visit the venue. We had our July 2 wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens and it was everything we dreamed of! The indoor/outdoor feel of the venue was perfect for a summer wedding. So many of our guests commented that they loved that there was something to do for every guest whether it was dancing, playing lawn games, drinking by the fire, walking the beautiful grounds, etc. Almost every guest we’ve spoken to since said that our ceremony was one of the most beautiful and sentimental they’ve ever witnessed; a lot of credit due to the Tobacco Barn and the magical environment it creates with its tall, white, wooden beams. Brian & Dawn, as well as our Day-of coordinator Chela, were amazing. They had everything from rehearsal to the last song of the night running perfectly. Hyziak-Hovanec Wedding 2021
I cannot say enough good things about Stoltzfus. My fiancé and I were about to sign a contract with another wedding venue, but the minute we pulled onto the Stoltzfus property we looked at each other and said, this is the one! The grounds are kept in amazing condition with beautiful landscaping. There are so many interesting areas for your guests to explore, no one will be bored! Our guests have been telling us for months how much fun they had at our wedding between the lawn games, bonfire, and dance floor. It rained for about 75% of our wedding day, but the staff at Stoltzfus kept my spirits up and did everything they could to make sure I was able to still have my first look with my groom and remain dry for the ceremony. Our coordinator Chèla was phenomenal, she took care of so many things behind the scenes and I honestly don’t know how we could have had our day without her. Dawn and Brian are the sweetest, most considerate people. They made us feel special and heard. Our guests really enjoyed chatting with Brian as well! My (now) wife and I knew we had found our wedding venue within minutes of arriving on the property. It was exactly what we were looking for - historic, unique, authentic (i.e., not decorated with stuff from Hobby Lobby like others we visited), and something that would "wow" our guests. Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens checked all of those boxes and more. The buildings and grounds were beautiful and well kept. The staff was well organized and helpful. All questions were answered within a day, and usually within an hour or less at all times of day.
One thing that especially stood out was how well the venue handled the rainy weather that unfortunately plagued our wedding day. They were well-prepared for the multiple changes of plans that were required as the rain came and went. The whole process of switching from Plan A to Plan B was seamless and I'm sure our guests didn't even know that last minute changes were enacted. I especially appreciate Brian's empathy and sense of humor as he sensed that my wife and I were both stressed and disappointed by the weather.

I know I have said this before, but it is worth repeating. When it rains on a wedding day, something incredibly special happens. The staff, bridal party and guests go the extra mile to really CELEBRATE the couple. It's like double doses of love and support get poured out on the bride and groom and they just bask in it all day!!! You received a special gift from your family and friends. The homestead was the first venue we visited! I could not believe how much I loved it- it was definitely love at first sight! We went to visit another venue right after and the entire time I could not stop thinking about the homestead and called them right away to book our date! I am so happy we did. The venue itself is beautiful. It was so nice to have the ceremony in the tobacco barn and the reception in the grand barn. What really sold us on the venue was the outdoors. We loved the setting for cocktail hour and the outdoor activities that took place the rest of the night, such as the game package and camp fire. So many guests told us how beautiful they thought the venue was!
Dawn, one of the owners, was wonderful to work with. She answered all of my questions the entire year leading up to the wedding and provided me with an abundance of helpful information. The homestead also provided us with our wedding coordinator, who also was named Dawn. She made everything run smoothly and flawlessly on our wedding day. There was so many things that needed to be done and she helped the day keep moving! She decorated the venue exactly how I wanted it. I came to her with very specific ideas and visions and she made the venue look better than I could have ever imagined! In addition to that, she was there handling any bumps in the road the entire day and handling things that I didn't even know needed handling! Dawn handled so many different tasks throughout the wedding so that we could truly enjoy the day with all of our family and friends. She really took away a lot of the stress for us! All of the staff at the venue were amazing to work with. The homestead provided me with some vendors that they recommended I use and I am so glad they did. It made my life easier to find some vendors I knew had good reputations and I was so pleased with everything the homestead recommended. I cannot recommend this venue enough- I knew right away that I wanted to get married here and will forever cherish the memories we made at this venue. -

Absolutely amazing!
We can’t even describe how amazing Stoltzfus Homestead truly is. This venue is absolutely beautiful and Dawn and Brian were so warm and welcoming from the start. Our day was everything we could have asked for and more!! Every single one of our guests truly enjoyed themselves. They all said how unique and fun this venue was. Our wedding day coordinator, Chéla, was an absolute sweetheart who truly made sure our day was everything WE wanted!! You won’t go wrong choosing this venue!! I cannot say enough positive things about Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens’ Wedding Venue. From the opening tour, impeccable communication throughout our entire planning to process, to our actual event day, nothing could beat our experience. The venue is absolutely stunning with two beautiful eclectic barns, an outdoor lounge, firepit, and flourished grounds. The staff at the Homestead are professional, down to earth, and talented. Every need was anticipated both before and during every minute of our special day to help things run smoothly without fret or stress. Our consultants ran everything so smoothly behind the scenes; it made the day fly effortlessly! Our guests showered us with compliments on the beauty of the venue and the incredible atmosphere the Homestead provided for a beautiful, relaxed, and enjoyable event. The prop shop was such a wonderful addition to our celebration simplifying our planning process and making the day fit together beautifully. The staff helped us have wonderful collaborations between our vendors and offered many different options such as décor and alcohol pack-it-up packages at the end of the night. The Homestead is an incredible venue with impeccable staff; I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. -

The perfect venue.
This venue was absolutely perfect in every way. From the extremely professional and kind staff to the absolutely beautiful barn, the value and flexibility of expenses, the overall fun atmosphere with something for everyone, I couldn’t have chose a better place to marry the man of my dreams.
Now a little back story of this venue. I accidently came across this venue when looking at google maps during a visit to Intercourse, Pa. A few years went by and I met the man I had been praying for and I started the venue search and Stoltzfus Homestead was pretty much all booked for the dates we were thinking but I reached out anyway and they ended up having a cancellation for Saturday Aug 1st, it was a little sooner than we planned but after doing my research talking to the lovely Dawn about the venue, I knew it was the perfect venue for us and I booked it having never seen it in person. I booked it in early March 2020 the start of Covid craziness. I had a little under 5 months to plan a wedding during what turned into a pandemic and quarantine. I can honestly say the wedding planing went so smoothly despite the circumstances. Dawn and the staff at the Homestead worked with me through all the changes and craziness and they were so understanding and flexible. Offering discounts due to restrictions, keeping me updated on how many guests I could have as things were constantly changing. In the end I had the most perfect wedding day, it was everything I dreamed it to be and I still get compliments on how great of a wedding it was, and I know having our wedding at the Homestead made it such a perfect day.
We did get married in August so my biggest fear was the HEAT. Honestly it was not too bad, despite no AC (they had some portable ones in the reception area) there was a nice breeze all day and I allowed my guests to dress comfortably so they could enjoy the day. No one really complained much about being too hot. My wedding day coordinator Courtney was amazing, she made sure everything ran smoothly and I really didn’t have to worry about much at all. The staff was so kind and professional even the young girl who slid open the barn doors before I made my entrance down the isle talked with me and even prayed with me. My wedding pictures are beautiful thanks to the beautiful landscape and barns. My in laws were a bit skeptical about having a wedding in Intercourse, PA, in a barn, in August, during a pandemic but they had the best time, they said how beautiful and perfect it was, and they talk about the wedding all the time.
I could not recommend Stoltzfus Homestead and gardens enough for a perfect, fun, beautiful wedding. It was a fun time for everyone, even those who don’t really like weddings. My guests have made so many compliments on the venue and even said “it was the best wedding they ever attended”. I could not be more thankful for such a wonderful wedding day experience and such great memories to look back on forever. -

It has taken a while to put into words what The Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens and their staff mean to my (now) husband and me. We knew immediately after our first visit that we wanted to have our special day there. The fabulous owners, Dawn and Brian, made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. The facility itself is stunning; it’s clear how much care and dedication go into the property down to the smallest detail. From the barn beams to the flowers, it is simply beautiful. We booked our Spring 2020 date back in Fall 2018 because my father needed a double lung transplant, and we wanted him to have plenty of time to heal. Each time we talked to anyone at Stoltzfus, they asked about him and our families and reminded us how excited they were for our wedding. It always felt special, like they genuinely cared about us.
Fast forward to March 2020, when COVID-19 hit, we were devastated, confused, and terrified about what it meant for our big day. Dawn was a ray of sunshine; she was always cheerful and continuously kept us in the loop with new procedures and protocols, which helped ease our fears and anxiety. She worked quickly to help us rebook within the same year (in November), keeping our fingers crossed that the pandemic would subside. As the day grew closer, we thought about safety and ultimately downsized our guest list to only immediate families and bridal parties. We started to feel like maybe it wouldn’t be worth it to have our big day in such a beautiful space with such few people, and that perhaps we would have an intimate ceremony in a park, save our money, and pick a new date for the future. When I spoke with Dawn about it, she refused in the best way possible. She extraordinarily offered us the use of their venue for a lesser price than we had initially signed our contract for two years prior. Her words were, “We have all waited so long for this, and we want you to be blessed and have a beautiful wedding day at the homestead.” They cared so much about my fiancé and I that they were willing to offer us the use of their stunning facility for less than we had initially agreed. The wedding industry is a multi-billion dollar monster. I’ve heard horror stories of venues closing and mistreating couples just because they can…this is not the case at Stoltzfus Homestead.
These people genuinely care about their couples and families, and we were honored and blessed to be married on November 20th. It was a perfect day, with warm (for November) weather and sunshine. Our 25 person wedding was everything we could ever have dreamed of, my father was able to walk me down the aisle, and the attention to detail was just as precise as it would have been for a 250 person gathering. We will always be incredibly grateful to Dawn, Brian, and Ginger (our wedding coordinator, who is an absolute JOY) for saving our wedding. They helped us coordinate with a streaming service so our extended family and friends could watch live and even allowed us to have a bonfire during our reception. We felt like we were dealing with family during the entire process, and when something is as stressful as wedding planning, you couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, Dawn and Brian, you’ll never know how grateful we are for what you did for us, and we wish you the best and hoped that you are incredibly blessed.

Amazing Place
This place is stunning. Dawn, Brian and Pam were wonderful to work with! Pam made our day perfect and run so smoothly! If I could do my wedding over again I wouldn't change a thing. It was perfect in every way possible! If you are looking for a rustic or the barn atmosphere this is your place. Literally everything at your fingertips! Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens was the only venue we visited when looking for a wedding location. We had planned to visit several venues before making a final decision, but once we met with Dawn and walked the grounds, we fell in love and knew that nothing else would compare. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Two months later and I'm still getting messages from friends and family telling us that our wedding was the most beautiful and relaxing wedding they'd ever been to.
If you're looking for a venue that treats you like family, takes impeccable care of their grounds, has this whole wedding process down to a science, and literally makes you feel calm and that everything is under control, then SHG is for you.
Trust me, you don't want to miss out on their magic.

Beyond expectations!
This venue is not only stunning, the staff and knowledge that come along with it are outstanding. Dawn, Brian and Ginger made my wedding day not perfect esthetically but also the overall experience. The staff is able to answer all questions and provide so many resources to make your day everything you could dream of. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and I’m so thankful I got the opportunity to work with Stoltzfus!

We had the most amazing dream wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead and gardens! Dawn and Brian are the most perfect hosts. Our coordinator Ginger was absolutely amazing - we couldn’t have gotten through the day without her! Courtney was our officiant, she made our ceremony so memorable. Both her and her husband are such beautiful people and took care of us that day! Each of them paid such close attention to detail and took care of everything from beginning to end. The grounds are stunning and very well-kept. The day flowed very smoothly and we are so very grateful. If you are looking for a rustic barn wedding with an elegant touch.. look NO further. Stoltzfus homestead and gardens is such a great venue for your ceremony and/or reception. Me and my husband got married 9/5/2020. It was the most perfect day I could have dreamed of. I got married at the Homestead back in September. It has taken me 4 months to write a review because I feel like everything I write doesn't do this venue enough justice. How can i put PERFECTION into words? From the FLAWLESSLY manicured grounds, to the BREATHTAKING tobacco and reception barns, everything about this venue is perfect. And if the actual site wasn't enough you can throw in the fact that Dawn, Brian and our day of coordinator Ginger went above and beyond at every turn. Throughout the process I was concerned that my wedding day wouldn't turn out the way I always pictured it would. But with the help of the amazing staff at the Homestead my day exceeded every single one of my expectations. On my day I expected to be running around stressed but everyone was always 20 steps ahead of me. Which helped me be able to sit and enjoy getting ready with my girls without having to think about what was going on behind the scenes. I will never be able to put into words how amazing my day was or how thankful I am to Dawn, Brian, Ginger and the Homestead team for making my every dream come true. -

Highly highly highly recommend this venue! Besides the ground being absolutely gorgeous all season long, they staff were go above and beyond to make sure to make sure that day runs smoothly - this starts the day you book the venue! They follow along to ensure that no detail gets missed! With having two barns and the gardens on the premises it allows for so many different options for the ceremony and cocktail hour! They also contract with some of the best vendors in the area! -

Wow amazing! Best ever!
Wow! Words are not enough to describe how great Dawn, Brian, and the Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens Team are! After our first visit to their location we knew right away this was the place for us! We were looking for a family centered atmosphere that was fun, exhilarating, and beautiful... and we had no idea a place like this existed!!! It is like something out of a beautiful dream, and then more! It the barn wedding that HGTV and Chip and Joanna Gains would envy! It's the destination wedding without the expensive plane tickets, but all the amazing beautiful landscape and intimacy!
In the days leading up to the wedding (which was much less time than most couples give) Dawn and the team worked so hard and were so on top of every detail! We had Dawn Beitzel as our Cordinator and she did such an excellent job!!
Everything at Stoltzsfus Homestead and Gardens is done with the most absolute excellence and Highest Standards! They value family and value making your wedding day the most memorable experience filled with joy, peace, and memories! They all have the sweetest and kindest hearts that love to serve with joy! It was such an honor to work with the team. They are very experienced and have shown they can meet the desires of any couple. With Dawn and Brian and the team, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. They have weddings down to a science and know how to execute with grace, excellence, and joy! (and the unlimited smoothie bar was a hit with our guests!!)

Our wedding at the Homestead was perfect. From the very first time we set foot on the property to the very last second of our wedding day, the staff at the Homestead made everything run smoothly. The reviews don't lie... Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens and their entire team, particularly Dawn and Brian, are incredible. From the second we visited their venue to our wedding 8 months later, Dawn and her team were responsive, professional, incredibly knowledgable, and supportive. 90% of our guests came from out of town and had never been to the area, and they won't stop raving about how beautiful the venue was. We were concerned about the heat in August, but it proved to not be an issue as a result of a casual dress code and cooling units (and an ice cream truck didn't hurt). We were also concerned about rain, and while it did rain for ~20 minutes it honestly enhanced the day. Dawn's husband Brian kept us in the loop on the weather schedule, and the beautiful sunny downpour (and rainbow) that followed made our day even more special. SHG is a well oiled machine, but they still work individually with each couple and work to make each wedding authentic to the couple. I could not recommend the venue highly enough, and we're so grateful to the SHG team for a wonderful, unforgettable experience.Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens's reply:

I can't tell you how thrilled my husband and I were with our experience with The Homestead!
The coordination that comes with all packages is out of this world! It made such a difference on our wedding day! We were relaxed, we actually ATE our food, enjoyed our guests, and could leave all the details in trusted hands. The recommended vendors they suggested were fantastic as well. The barns are beautiful and the flow of the venue gave our wedding the relaxed, communal, and intimate feel similar to a family gathering while still being elegant and organized. This was invaluable. People could dance, sit by the fire, play yard games, and chat under the pretty lights and still feel very much a part of the party!

Having our wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens was a dream! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the people are great. They offer two barns to allow you to have both the ceremony and reception on one property. Both barns are simplistic and beautiful! The rest of the property offers so much space and gorgeous gardens. Our Day of Coordinator was Ginger and she went above and beyond every expectation. I didn't feel like I had to worry about a thing, because Ginger helped to execute our vision so perfectly. She was patient and was always making sure that we were enjoying the day. She was organized, attentive, and so kind. All of the staff at the Homestead are extremely organized and were always prepared to assist us in planning our wedding day. Dawn Waltman, the owner, is very responsive via email, making it easy to ask questions and get a response very quickly. All of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue, the organization of the staff, and the friendliness of all who worked there. Amazing Site with Even Better People!
I cannot say enough about our decision to have our wedding at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens. Working with Dawn to plan and get everything set up was very helpful, and she removed a ton of the stress associated with planning a wedding. Dawn was more than willing to work with us while we were planning a wedding from the other side of the country, 3 time zones away. Dawn and Brian were very patient and helped us to work through all of the planning and scheduling. Our day of coordinator Ginger was also incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. She was on top of our timeline and understood our wants and needs. The venue was incredible, the people was amazing and helpful, and it all helped to make our wedding the day of our dreams. -

Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens is the BEST venue you could ever go with! Where to even begin... First, my family and I are located in Maryland. I had to be married in front of a weeping willow tree, so the hunt was on! We visited 4-5 venues within Maryland, but there was always an issue. From not enough room for our guests, to not being able to get married by the Willow tree. So I decided to venture out. Thanks to WeddingWire, Stoltzfus came across my screen. The reviews were great, and I noticed right away that there were Weeping Willows on the property. When I emailed Stoltzfus, Dawn (owner) responded within a day. She was excited to tell me all about their venue, what they offered and how they had multiple weeping willows for me to choose from. She even sent me pictures of them all! When my mom, and my fiancé Joey headed up to see the property (3 1/2 hour drive), Dawn was SO flexible when it came to a time, especially knowing we were coming from so far away. INSTANTLY we were blown away by their venue. The grounds themselves were breathtaking. I loved how they had two barns, one for the reception, and one for the ceremony (if it rained and you couldn't get married outside). Everything was just beautiful. We walked around the property checking out all the weeping willows, there were a bunch! Leaving, we knew they were the venue we had been looking for. We didn't decide on the marriage spot until about a month before the wedding since I wanted to see the trees in full bloom. Throughout the entire process, Dawn and her team made EVERYTHING go as smoothly as possible, communication was constant, and I never felt like I didn't know what was going on. She had answers to everything. being a "destination" wedding, I was really feeling the pressure, but Dawn made me feel so comfortable. I loved how the florist (Petals & pearls, Megan, Dawns daughter) and the bar tenders (Brian Waltman, Dawns Husband), were onsite. We took a few trips back up over the course of the year before the wedding to get details together. I was always able to coordinate with them as well, so that we all were meeting at the same time, and not making extra trips. Dawn and her team made sure that the spot I chose by the willow tree was PERFECT. They did everything in their power to make sure that the area itself was perfect. The grass was beautiful, the trees and shrubs were green and Brian himself even took out some dead shrubs so that it all flowed so nicely for my big day!! On my wedding day, they always say that no day goes perfectly, but I am here to tell you MINE DID!!! Dawn and her team made sure of that!!!! When we woke up the morning of my big day, it was sprinkling, and the forecast showed afternoon showers. Dawn and Brian both assured me that everything was going to be okay. Brian waited until the last possible second before setting up our benches, which luckily the rain completely held off until dinner!!! From that very morning, till our night was over, everything was perfect. They never made it feel rushed, Dawn and Brian were there to support us, and our guests on our big day. They made you feel like you were family. This venue and their staff is absolutely the most kind hearted and giving people you will meet. Fairy tale wedding
My husband got married on October 7th of this year and it was the best day of our lives. We continue to talk about our wedding day and it’s almost a month later! I was nervous at first to choose a location where you needed to obtain your vendors, BUT do not fear - Dawn the Wedding Consultant makes life beyond easy. Every vendor they recommended was not only kind they were also cost-efficient! Everyone told me how stressful it would be planning a wedding and getting everyone on the same page on the day-of but it was truly a stress-free experience. The vendors all know Dawn and Brian and they work together like a well-oiled machine! You should definitely book here, my friends.

The grounds are pristinely kept and offer a variety of beautifully designed spaces for guests to enjoy. Having a wedding in their restored tobacco barn was a perfect venue for the romantic, rustic theme that my daughter wanted. It was decorated amazingly by their florist (Pearls and Petals.)
The whole day went smoothly because of Dawn and Brian, the owners. We didn't have to worry about anything. You can trust their professionalism and years of experience to give you a day to remember!
