If we could give Stokesay Castle 6 stars, we would! From the moment we first visited the venue, we knew this was the one. My husband and I were looking for somewhere unique for our October 25, 2025 wedding, and Stokesay didn't disappoint.

From the ceremony garden nestled along the treeline (made even more beautiful with the fall foliage) to the recently revamped and expansive grand ballroom, Stokesay is a true hidden gem. And you won't just look like royalty here - you'll feel like it with the welcoming and hospitable staff. A huge shoutout to Maureen and Christine, our event specialists who made the planning process and day-of stress free (which is saying something, as I'm very Type A)! Ariel, our own personal day-of attendant was attentive, there with us from the moment we arrived in the getting ready rooms until the end of the night. We felt so pampered and could actually enjoy the big day, instead of stressing over logistics.

We would be remiss not to talk about the food! Everything was delicious, and we were amazed by the quality and portion sizes for dinner (nobody went hungry!) The team was also extremely accommodating with guest allergies and dietary restrictions. We've had so many guests rave about their meals!

If you're looking for a stunning and distinctive venue with wonderful staff, Stokesay Castle is the place for you. We had the most magical day, and we're still dreaming about it!

They were so great to work with from start to finish! I knew I wanted a venue that wasn’t your traditional location and this was just that. The castle vibes were everything and so different for guests to experience! If you’re looking at 200+ guests, Stokesay can accommodate so much more! We estimated 240, but ended up with 200 and the ballroom was so spacious, no one felt crowded. We had great feedback from our guests regarding the entire venue as a whole and food as well! Response times and communication were always great and everything we had asked for was translated perfectly for our day. They did a good job at taking notes on our file of things we wanted and were doing differently. Would definitely recommend!! My husband and I can’t wait to come back every once in a while to visit the pub and reminisce on our special day!

The staff at Stokesay went above and beyond for my husband and me. The weather was not cooperative, but the coordinator, Dara, allowed me to make a final decision of an indoor or outdoor ceremony at the very last second. Unfortunately it had to be indoor. Everyone was quick to readjust plans. The day went flawlessly. Food was delicious and the staff were extremely professional. The upgrades to the ballroom are magnificent! Well worth it!

We cannot speak highly enough about Stokesay, their entire team, and, most importantly, Hannah Kufro, our Wedding Coordinator that we worked with! My wife and I signed our venue contract one-year to the date ahead of our big day, with a different coordinator, one who ultimately ended up transitioning to a different organization just a week before our tasting was scheduled. For a couple planning a wedding, especially so close to their big day, this would normally have been an incredibly stressful change to hear about, however, we were expeditiously contacted by Hannah and met her days later at our tasting – immediately after meeting her we knew we were in great hands, and we both agree that our initial impression was spot on. Hannah’s attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge have continued to impress ourselves, our parents, and our guests who experienced a phenomenal wedding just this past weekend. She not only hit the ground running with our event, but confirmed several details and was able to work with us to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as possible.

While I have personally sent messages to several friends I know who are engaged and looking for venues, I wanted to share this note here for those couples looking for venues – Stokesay should 100% be on your list; the charm, history, venue, and staff will all make your big day as perfect as you could ever dream of – if anything, just go check it out – once you see this in person you’ll see exactly what we are talking about.

When we found a castle nestled in the woods of Reading, PA, we knew this was the place for us. The castle was gorgeous and unique, and the outdoor ceremony space was beautiful. Everything was on site and in one package; the getting-ready rooms, the ceremony space, the cocktail hour, the reception space, the food, and the drinks were all provided by Stokesay. They even had the option of serving us food in our getting-ready rooms. Working with Jess Tremblay, one of the coordinators at Stokesay, was a breeze, and her experience was absolutely appreciated as we drew closer to our wedding day. She was extremely responsive and always had quick answers to our questions. Unfortunately, the weather required us to have our ceremony indoors, but Jess and the Stokesay team transitioned smoothly and without any work required from us. They worked well with our vendors and we couldn't ask for
anything more. The food by Chef Willie was amazing and the bar and bartenders were great as well. Our cake was custom made by Sharon and was delicious! Every member of the staff seemed dedicated to making sure our day went off without a hitch. We couldn't be more grateful for Jess and the team at Stokesay for their work, and we will always have a special place in our hearts for that castle in the woods.

I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone that played a part in making my wedding day everything I ever dreamed my wedding day would be! Jessica was very helpful with getting me started during the planning stages. I wasn’t sure where to begin, but Jessica and Luis lead me in the right direction and stayed in constant contact to keep me updated and informed up until my actual wedding day. Thank you so much to Eve for taking such good care of me in the Princess Suite on the day of my wedding. You are truly the best! ❤️ From Stokesay’s preferred vendor list, I used Indigo Blooms for the beautiful drapery and floral decorations, and Sean Shipper of Party Express DJ’s who provided a great variety of musical entertainment for all of our guests to enjoy! If you are looking for a beautiful and unique venue to have your wedding, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stokesay Castle and I encourage you to consider this magnificent establishment for your wedding venue!

Amazing Wedding Venue, we just had our wedding there over the past weekend, 9.14.19, Alexis Blatt was our go to and she is on point!! Everything went off without a hitch and we had an absolute blast! Our Tea Ceremony was earlier in the day and was perfect as well. All the food was amazing, people are still talking about how delicious the risotto bar was and the sea bass, and it now Wednesday!! Decor was great and my vision just came to life. if there were any issues, i didn't even know. My husband and I were fed and given drinks and everything was taken care of for us, there was no hassle. I was so happy with using Stokesay's Castle, we will definitely, be back for dinner soon, and will plan another event again! Everything was PERFECT!!!!

I can't say enough good things about Stokesay Castle. We had our wedding in December and it could not have been a more perfect venue for a winter wedding. The decor was breathtaking and very classy. All of our guests raved about the food. The service was incredible and I truly felt like part of a family.

I don't even know where to start! Everyone that worked with my husband and I for our wedding at Stokesay made it the best day of our lives. It all ran so smoothly. Alexis, Stokesay's wedding coordinator, is such a WONDERFUL person to work with. She truly puts your mind at ease on the days leading up to your wedding, as well as the day of. She answered each of my questions, took the time to add/subtract/do/redo plans with me as we got closer, and make accommodations as needed with complete professionalism. She took care of everything that I asked her to without a problem. She made my entire wedding experience so much fun! On the day of, we had a personal server that ensured that my husband and I, as well as our bridal party, were taken care of. She was by our sides all day long and truly made our day even better. During our reception, the servers for dinner and at the bar, were so efficient and kind. We had guests telling us how wonderful the staff was! I highly recommend Stokesay to any couple that is looking for a venue that will make their wedding day a dream come true in more ways than one!

My bridal shower was hosted at the gorgeous Stokesay Castle this year. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was stunning!

Everything about this venue was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding reception. Emily was an incredible planner and she was so attentive and responsive throughout the process to ensure that everything was exactly how we wanted it. I had no stress at all going into the day because I knew that Stokesay would follow through on everything we had planned, which they did. The food was also incredible- we had over 200 people and the food came out on time and tasted just like it did when we had our tasting- I got more compliments than I could count on how great the food was!

This venue is amazing. From the moment we walked in and sat down with Emily to discuss details we knew this was the place for us. It has so much character and Emily was so accommodating, making sure we got what we wanted without breaking the bank. Throughout the entire process they were there when we needed them and answered every silly question I had. Day of, they made sure we had everything we needed, the staff was so lovely and pleasant and when it came to the ceremony Emily was there by my side, coordinating and everything went so smooth. She made sure we were fed during cocktail since we were taking pictures and even helped bustle me before moving over to the reception. Once we got to the reception, they fed my husband and I first, helping us get more time to socialize and even though apparently they were under staffed that night you would have never guessed. Our guests kept saying how lovely and attentive everyone was and it couldn't be more true. This place takes ur vision and makes it a reality, anything you need they help get and they do it with the biggest smile. I am so happy we picked this place and I can honestly say they are one of the main reasons everything was perfect. Thank you stokesay staff and especially Emily for everything she has done for me the past year!

As a professional, full time Disc Jockey, I have been to hundreds of venues over my 18 year career. When I got engaged, I mentioned to my fiance that there were only a handful of venues that I would really consider for my wedding. Luckily, she trusted my judgement and after looking at a few venues, Stokesay castle was the wedding venue we chose. We could not be happier. Our team of Emily and Alissa, who coordinate weddings, did an amazing job along with Jordan our banquet captain. Everyone was friendly and fun throughout the planning process and listened to some our unique yet workable ideas such as a late night boneless buffalo wing bar which I personally wanted yet never experienced at a wedding. Another point worth mentioning is that small details are not overlooked at this venue. My one concern was that my pasta bar may take extra time and drag dinner out and that I may be waiting in line a long time for food. As soon as the toasts and blessing were finished, my wife and I were immediately asked what we wanted on our pasta and the order was put in for us so we could enjoy time together without standing in line. I thought this was a great touch that I didn't even think of. I also enjoyed the flexibility as our DJs had the party rocking and we needed more time. The staff gave me plenty of options for the bar to go overtime and ways to fit my budget. This allowed us to enjoy the party for another hour. Post wedding, our guests would not stop complimenting the dinner service; especially the pasta station and wing bar. While I did not have my ceremony here, there is a beautiful area for that too. In closing, I would not have changed a thing and even requested the names of the entire staff who worked my wedding to thank them. Big shout out to Terri, Kurt, Amy, Joy, Jay, Jillian and Ian. Thanks for making our day a day we will always remember!

Choosing Stokesay Castle as our wedding venue was the #1 best wedding planning decision we made. The food is delicious, atmosphere is amazing, staff is so friendly and helpful. Emily is the coordinator and she is amazing. I did not have to worry about a single thing with her there. She answered my questions throughout the process and on the day of she took care of everything. Emily, and the rest of the staff, made sure we had everything we needed from the morning through the end of the reception. We were able to have our entire day there from getting ready, all our portraits, ceremony, and reception which was really important to me when looking for a venue. Beautiful outdoor location for photos and cocktail hour and ceremony. It rained so we ended up moving our ceremony inside bur It was still beautiful. It was a last minute call but ended up being a seamless transition because of Stokesay's organization. We also had our rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar and plan to go back for many anniversary dinners!

My husband and I got married at stokesay in April. We could not have been more pleased. It was above and beyond our expectations. The food was terrific, service was fantastic. And most of all we were so happy with Emily the event coordinator. She's quick to respond and had an answer for every concern. The entire day ran smoothly, and she was there every step of the way from our booking of the venue to the ceremony. I can not praise her enough. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a stress free day and the most amazing day of my life. I would highly recommend this Venue to anyone. I seriously can not say enough about how happy we were! :)

Absolutely beautiful! And accommodating! The staff at Stokesay Castle are very professional, friendly and kind!

Best experience of my life! I had my wedding here. The staff was amazing as well as all the food! My guests complimented me on how great everything was! The event planner "Emily" wAs possibly the best person I have ever met! Anything I wanted she was on it immediately! They even do all your set up and clean up for you! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Where do I even start? There are not enough stars on here to give Stokesay. We loved it before we even visited, and were nervous that it wouldn't be as good in person, but when we visited it was even better than we expected. The venue is incredibly beautiful, the food is amazing, and the price is extremely affordable (especially coming from Jersey). It would have been worth it just for that, but the staff was actually the best part - everyone was always so nice, friendly, and enthusiastic (they even did most of the decorating, exactly as we had wanted, after my husband decided he'd had enough of it). The coordinator provided through the venue, Emily, could not have been more helpful - there are seriously not enough great things that I can say about her. Even guests who had very limited contact with her mentioned to me weeks later that they noticed how great she was. I had some really dumb questions, and she very patiently, thoroughly, and promptly answered every one - even the times I emailed her when she was in the middle of a currently very busy wedding season (and her first as the wedding coordinator) and mine was still a year away and by my own admission should not have been a priority at all. The castle was a pretty long drive for us and for most of our guests, but there is not a doubt in my mind that it was the right choice for us. If anyone in charge reads this, I don't care how much she's making already - please give Emily a raise!

AMAZING. What could be better than getting married in a castle? Getting married at Stokesay Castle! It was over the top perfect from the decor to the wait staff to the food! Everyone there made our day as perfect as possible! The wedding coordinator, Emily, was incredible! She was super organized and helpful but also very nice and a pleasure to work with! We would highly recommend Stokesay for ANY event!

I had my ceremony and reception at Stokesay Castle, and I could not have asked for a more perfect day. My fiancee and I planned our wedding for about 2 years from afar (we live in Texas but originally met in Pennsylvania). We started our planning with Lauren, and she was absolutely wonderful. However, I came to find out that they hired a new coordinator, Emily, in the middle of my planning process. A bit freaked out, I wanted to set up a meeting with Emily to make sure everything I originally planned was still good to go. From the first meeting we had with Emily all the way up until the last dance the night of the wedding, the services Emily and Stokesay provided us were unmatched, and we could not imagine a more perfect day for our wedding. No matter the circumstances, Emily always level headed and assured me that everything would go smoothly. We dropped off all of our decor the night before and Emily and her staff set it all up perfectly. My bridesmaids and I were well taken care of in the bridal suite getting ready the morning of with mimosas, a cheese and cracker tray, and lots of delicious wraps! Emily and the staff at Stokesay truly set the bar for what a wedding should look like.

My new husband and I were extremely happy with our wedding reception at Stokesay Castle. We were some of Emily's first couples, and I appreciated her attention to detail and desire to help us relax and feel comfortable. She offered to do many little things for us to make our evening and days leading up to the wedding more simple.

Overall, Stokesay is beautiful and well-run. The food is good and we felt like we got great value for our money.

One important side note is that Chris Polk, the baker on site, is exceptionally talented and deserves all the credit in the world. His cake was excellent and beautiful - it's exciting to see someone enjoy his work so much!

I could not be more happy with how my wedding turned out! It was a March 20th wedding, first day of spring and a crazy snowstorm decided to crash our wedding that day! Stokesay staff handled it perfectly!! I wanted an outdoor ceremony but since the snow kind of ruined that for us, I had no decor for the indoor ceremony! Lauren and her staff put some trees and candles out and made it look so fabulous! They set up all the centerpieces for me and made them look exactly how I showed them!
I arrived at 1030am, but the ceremony was not due to start until 530pm. The bridal party had our own hostess that made sure we had anything we could possibly want! We were even greeted with mimosas and a cheese/cracker tray! The scenery was to die for!! The snow just covered the grounds and the pictures were amazing! Their pastry chef made this amazing cake, he took my vision of a tree bark cake with a heart carved into it and made it an even better reality! The staff made sure there was a drink in my hand, or near me at all times. They were excellent with keeping watch and giving me anything that was needed!!! I got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was! We did a buffet style reception...the pasta station was awesome and perfect for all the picky eaters in my family! I had a few kids at the reception and I noticed how some balloons appeared and were bouncing around the room which kept them occupied all night! They truly went above and beyond what was expected! Book this place.... Book it now! I promise you wont regret it! :)

My husband and I cannot say enough about Stokesay Castle and the amazing staff- the location was perfect for us in every way...tucked away in a quiet and picturesque location, beautiful venus inside and out, great packages to chose from and plenty of add-on's if needed...Lauren (wedding coordinator) is EXCELLENT! So kind, helpful and quick to respond- made us feel so comfortable and well-taken care of as did the entire staff when our big day came...our guests could not say enough about how much the loved it, all the staff, the food- everything! Exceeded all expectations and we had a perfect day!

I just got married at Stokesay Castle and it was an absolutely incredible day! I worked with their wedding coordinator, Lauren, for over a year and she put all of our concerns at ease and solved all of our problems from day one. On the day of, everything went off without a hitch. We got our hair and makeup done in the bridal suite upstairs and were immediately taken care of with champagne, coffee, fruit and cheese all morning. The boys were across the venue in the grooms suite enjoying some beer, scotch and snacks. We had an indoor ceremony that went perfectly, and was well coordinated by the staff. Afterwards we enjoyed our cocktail hour and dinner, and everything was delicious. Our cupcakes were incredible. We gave the pastry chef the loose instructions of "cherry blossoms" and he ran with it. Our cupcakes each featured branches and hand-painted cherry blossoms. They were so beautiful. We were so well taken care of and everything was perfect. I can't recommend this venue enough!

Louis and his staff were just wonderful. This was our daughter's wedding my wife and I got married here in 1975. You couldn't ask for a nicer place.

We had a personal waiter that was clearly paying attention to when we looked like we needed anything and she would find it!! Lauren went above and beyond to make sure that we felt no stress! It is a beautiful place and friendly staff!!

We had our wedding and reception at Stokesay Castle in May. Lauren was an excellent event planner and really made not only the planning of the wedding but the day go by so smoothly - we could not have asked for better service! Lauren was attentive and responsive to our emails over the 2 years of planning for the wedding and the staff at the castle were extremely flexible in timing, food choices, and reception hall set-up. I was able to provide Lauren with directions for the ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, and reception hall decorations the day before the wedding and drop off all the decorations. After that, the work was on them! They decorated the place beautifully and really made all of my ideas come true!

Lauren Lubas and her staff at Stokesay are top notch! From the planning, the food and drinks, the service, the cake and cupcakes, to the set-up and clean up, we could not have asked for anything easier or better!!! We had alot of out of town guests and they were awe-struck with the beauty of Stokesay Castle. We received so many compliments on the quality of food and service, and everyone wanted to find cupcakes to take home! Don't hesitate to check this place out!!!

Stokesay Castle in Reading, PA has weddings down to a science. Their wedding coordinator, Lauren, is absolutely amazing! She knows her business extremely well and is able to anticipate the needs of her clients and guests. Lauren was very responsive and accessible via phone, email or in person throughout the entire wedding planning process. She facilitated the rehearsal the day prior offering her own suggestions to help keep things flowing smoothly. The day of the wedding, I could have sworn there must have been four Laurens running around Stokesay! She was everywhere at once making sure we had everything we needed to make our day go off without issue.
Chef Willie and the kitchen staff are culinary wizards. The food at Stokesay was impressive! It's not often that I've been to a wedding where I felt the food was remarkable. We received numerous comments about the food from presentation to portion size. The pastry chef did a magnificent job on our wedding cake and our cupcakes! He even baked us a SECOND CAKE when it was apparent that the buttercream icing had melted quite badly over the course of our reception!
The serving staff at Stokesay was impeccable! We never wanted for anything throughout the night and have heard much the same from many of our guests. The staff did an outstanding job setting up our center pieces and at the end of the night, they meticulously cleaned and polished the glassware we used so that we were able to take it home! Mind you, we DID NOT EXPECT this or even ask! The glassware was purchased cheap with the intention of tossing or recycling it.

I love Stokesay Castle. From start to finish, they were a complete class act--and a great deal. Each February, they have a bridal fair, which is where my husband and I found all of our vendors. Lauren Lubas was our coordinator. She was very responsive...and happily responded to the litany of questions I had the week before the wedding. The wedding garden is beautiful (the path is stone, but note that the area around the front can be muddy--just buy some heelies for your girls), and the transition from ceremony, to receiving line, to cocktail hour, to reception was perfect. There are an endless number of places to have some gorgeous photographs--and your guests will be wowed to have a wedding at a real castle!

I also had my rehearsal dinner at Stokesay in the wine cellar. I highly recommend the ice cream sundae bar. The staff went above and beyond--we had some guests running late in getting there, and they brought out their dinners even after all of the rest of the guests were served--and set up the ice cream bar for a second time.

The Princess Suite and Board Room were a great place to get ready. The Princess suite looks out over the wedding garden--great for brides to keep an eye on people walking in :). They put out a plate of cheese and crackers, including some adorable peacocks carved out of granny smith apples. They also made sure to pop a bottle of champagne for us as we got ready.

During the photos after the ceremony, a server followed us around with a plate of h'or d'oeurves and took drink orders.

At the reception, the waitstaff and bartenders continued to be great. They had an extra plate of h'or d'oeurves at our sweetheart table, and were incredibly attentive to make sure our glasses were always full with water and wine. As an added bonus--one of the incredibly awesome bartenders made balloon animals for the kids!

I could not have been happier with Stokesay as a venue.

We were married at Stokesay Castle last Friday & give it our highest recommendation as a wedding venue.

As regular customers of Stokesay, we are no strangers to the delicious food, and it was reliably scrumptious at our wedding. The presentation of the food was impressive, complete with edible flowers. The wedding packages have a wide variety of entree choices ranging from standard selections like chicken & filet, to more unusual dishes such as duck. To help you finalize your choices, your wedding package also includes a tasting dinner, where you meet the head chef who explains how each dish is prepared. The ice cream bar we chose, which was manned by the head pastry chef himself, was also impressive, with a huge variety of toppings to satisfy everyone.

Stokesay always makes us feel special when we dine there & our wedding was no exception. The service is impeccable. The staff communicate via headsets so there always seemed to be someone right there, ready to assist or serve. Lauren, Stokesay's wedding coordinator, was our primary contact. She was friendly, attentive, & always prompt with a reply. There was no sweating the small stuff: when one of the headpieces broke, someone whisked it away, fixed it with a hot glue gun, & promptly returned it. My daughter got a blister, Lauren overheard us say "bandaid", & she was immediately on her headset requesting one for us. We didn't even have to ask. Our favorite server at the castle, Julie, worked our wedding, & brought us drinks & appetizers while we were having photos taken on the castle lawn, because she knew we would be famished. With attention to the little details like that, the big things easily fell into place.

Stokesay is easily one of the most beautiful venues I have been in. It has a luxurious, medieval grandeur that is not at all pretentious. There are various rooms of equal beauty to suit the size of your party. The outdoor areas are just as impressive. Picture perfect, inside and out!

AMAZING TO WORK WITH!!! We could not have asked for better people to work with at Stokesay. They made our lives so much easier the day of the wedding. They were kind enough to put out all our centerpieces, bows and decorations for our reception. We had met with them a month before and the workers took pictures of how we wanted our centerpieces displayed. The centerpieces were displayed exactly how we had shown them and they did a fantastic job decorating the rest of the ballroom. Any questions, we could think of, we just called and they answered them in a very timely and professional manner. You get a lot of bang for your buck with them. They also have other great vendors (cake, DJ, ice sculptor, etc) that they recommend to you which helps make your life a little easier too. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone because they can turn their ballroom or any other room within the castle into whatever you can possibly dream of!!!! The wait staff is also very professional and prompt!

We just loved having our wedding reception at Stokesay!!! From start to finish, it was the perfect experience. The staff, in particular the wedding coordinator, Larissa, was outstanding!! Every time we went for pre-wedding meetings, we were treated so kindly by everyone at the castle. They went out of their way to make us feel happy and at-ease.

The wedding reception itself was just perfect. It was our dream come true. The reception was decorated perfectly and just how we wanted. The staff was excellent at making this happen. The setting was beautiful, with amazing places in and around the castle for pictures. We received so many compliments about the food and drinks, as well as the setitng. We are thankful to Stokesay for all they did for us.

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at Stokesay, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Larissa and Stephanie were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. Larissa kept everyone on track the day-of, so we had nothing to worry about. They took care of all the set-up and we always had staff checking in and catering to our every need. The setting is beautiful (inside and out), the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding!

We are so pleased with our dream wedding experience in early September, 2012! The staff members provided superior service to our wedding party, family and guests. Everything was well coordinated and catered to our requests and needs. It had rained all morning and cleared up just in time for our ceremony. They did everything they could to provide us with the outdoor wedding we had hoped for. We are certain we made the right choice due to proximity for guests as well as atmosphere we were looking for. Highly recommend this beautiful and professional venue!

Amazing staff, help you start to finish and let you have your vision but provide assistance and insight. The venue is gorgeous and awesome for pictures. The rooms to get ready in are comfortable, decorative, and one of my favorite things was in the princess suite you see guests as they arrive but they can't see you. It helped lessen anxiety to see everyone coming. The food was absolutely flawless. The reception is gorgeous with all types of themes that could fit the feel of the room. The bar is amazing and Stokesay sets up high top tables by the bar to create a little social area feel. You can design your own layout of the room, and they are flexible with guest numbers at each of the tables which was HUGE when making a seating chart. You could have some tables of 8, 9,10,11, or 12 guests. I can't say enough good things. If you want a beautiful venue, with staff that honestly goes above and beyond, and great food, great feel you should definitely consider Stokesay!!

Very Beautiful Venue! We had our ceremony and reception here. We were greeted very openly and our requests were met for our wedding. There were some minor issues with coordinating some of our plans but in the end it worked out and we couldnt have been more pleased! Big thanks To Luis, Stephanie and Larissa for all of your help!

Stokesay Castle is a beautiful venue definitely worth the money. We had several meetings with Stokesay in order to arrange all the details and every time we went they were always polite, professional and concerned with meeting our needs. During the week leading up to our wedding, Larissa was in constant contact with us in order to iron out details and make sure everything was perfect Setting was beautiful, food was amazing, the server who followed us around during pictures with drinks and hor-deves deserves a raise, and Larissa and Luis made sure everthing was taken care to a T. I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting 5 start quality food, atmosphere, and service. Thanks for making our day perfect!

Being from New Jersey, I thought it was going to be difficult planning my wedding, but they put our minds at ease! Absolutely beautiful venue to get married at!

Stokesay Castle was a dream come true. The place was so beautiful i didnt need to go anywhere else to get my pictures done. Larissa, the wedding coordinator was wonderful during the whole process.I left the decorations there the night before the wedding and the day of the wedding everything looked wonderful. Better than i han imagined. She made sure i was taken care of and i felt comfortable. I had the ceremony done outside in the pergola and i had the princess suite for the getting ready. The food was so delicious.

Stokesay was the perfect place to get married! My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception here. Our ceremony was held in the wedding garden (outside). The scenery for pictures was amazing! Everything was absolutely perfect, neither of us could have asked for anything more. We booked this location a little over a year in advance, and the staff was excellent with keeping me up-to-date with deadlines, various choices, and accommodating us in any way they could. The food was divine...we had a hard time deciding on just two meal choices for guests. The bar menu was extensive, and the bar staff was more than accommodating when working with me to make a signature cocktail.
Overall, this was the best day of our lives thus far, and being at Stokesay made it the dream wedding. TWO THUMBS UP!!

If you want a fairy tale wedding - THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!
When I give the Stokesay Castle a 5 out of 5 I am not exagerating. The staff was with me every step of the way making sure I did not miss anything. On that day, they provided wonderful cheeses and fruits while we got dresses in the Bridal suite. They allowed us to order drinks while getting ready and took care of everything. My band was running late, but they did not worry me - instead they took care of it. When it came to set-up, they had the room designed exactly as I had drawn it up! The food was amazing and many people said to me it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We also added a mid-night snack that came out at 9:30 and people are still talking about it. They were so accommodating to me only wanting wine and beer and even made sure my guests were not served at the bar close to the reception hall! Larissa and Stephanie are a perfect team and Luis, the General Manager was also wonderful. We rented the limo for the day and he insisted he take us back to the hotel in it as well. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR WEDDING DAY PERFECT!

Did everything in their power to make sure our day was perfect! Their coordinator kept everything organized and made sure everything went smoothly and most importantly, kept me (the bride) stress free! The food was awesome and they will accommodate any request, including formulating a special signature cocktail just for us.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I fell in love with Stokesay Castle on my first visit with my fiance. The place is gorgeous! We were given a full tour when we mentioned being interested in using the castle as our wedding venue. They offer beautiful rooms for the bridal party to get ready in, a cigar lounge for the groomsmen, a gorgeous location for our outdoor ceremony, and a fully renovated ballroom for the reception. Laura is the event coordinator and she was superb at helping us plan our perfect day. She helped us customize our menu and alcohol list to fit the budget we set. The months and days before my wedding Laura was my best friend; helping me finalize all my details so the day of I was stress-free and fully confident that Laura was taking care of everything! And talk about service! The owner himself, Luis, picked me and my ladies up in their huge limo(another service they offer at an exceptional price!!) with champagne for mimosas to take us to the salon! They have two gourmet chef's on staff and we received compliments all night on the exceptional food. All the staff was professional and extremely friendly. They catered to us and our needs, and certainly made me feel as if I was the princess of this beautiful castle. For any woman looking for a fairy tale wedding, this castle is the perfect setting. Plus they are giving me and my new husband a romantic dinner for our one year anniversary! I LOVE STOKESAY CASTLE!

I had my ceremony and reception at Stokesay Castle on 4/24/10 and I couldn't be more happy!

Laura was our primary contact at Stokesay; she was helpful, professional and fun to be around. She was a great help with the wedding, she really helped to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of.

We were in the Queen's room and the set up was great; we gave all of our decorations to Laura the day before and the staff worked their magic. We had reserved the Princess suite for all the ladies to get ready and it had a wonderful view of the outdoor ceremony site so I could see what was going on. From the time I walked in the door that day until we left I was pampered by Stokesay. Champagne with fruit and cheese was chilled and waiting for us as we enetered. While I was getting my bustle done we had hors d'oeuvres delivered to us. In addition to Laura, we had a person assigned to make sure the groom and I had everything we needed!

The food was outstanding. Stokesay made it very difficult for us to choose what entrees to serve the day of because everything was amazing at our tasting. We decided to go with the Beef Filet and Duck and lots of my guests complimented the food.

I had a few special requests and Stokesay went above and beyond in terms of service. One example: I asked for a special liquor and they not only ordered it, but got a special fountain to serve it! They also helped me with referrals for other vendors, all of whom were excellent.

The prices were quite reasonable for what I got. It was top of the line all the way, but without an astronomical fee, especially compared to some of the other options in the area.

I could go onand on about how great Stokesay was for my wedding, but the best I can recommend is to go see it. The location is gorgeous and I got some truly amazing photographs utilizing the scenery. I fell in love with Stokesay the first time I went in to see it.

I can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

This was the absolute best place I could imagine for a wedding venue and reception. The only complaint I have was with the wedding coordinator. She was a little demanding, but I think she's gone now anyway (it's been 2 years). Even when we go back now, the people remember us and always make us feel like we're the most important people there. Everything about this place was perfect!

The castle was absolutely amazing. they bent over backwards to make our day perfect. I've always heard horror stories about how brides and grooms end up not being able to eat on their big day but the people at stokesay made sure we ate. We even had our own personal server while doing photos bringing us hors'deavers and drinks. On top of everything the food was absolutely to die for. our Rennaisance themed wedding went off without a hitch.

We held our wedding at Stokesay, and overall, it was a fantastic experience.

First things first - the restaurant is beautiful. It's modeled after an actual castle in England, and does a very good job of simulating the experience. The décor, the giant carved knight, everything gives off a particular medieval, classy vibe that you can't help but enjoy.

I'll get right down to the important part - the food. Stokesay has some of the best food you'll ever eat in a restaurant. During our planning phase we had the opportunity to try the majority of their menu items..literally every one of them was good. You can't go wrong - but the steaks were my choice, either the filet mignon or the shoulder filet. Both were excellent, as were all the sides that went with them. I can't possibly give more praise to the chefs.

As far as the wedding goes - most everything went smoothly. Our wedding was the weekend after Hurricane Sandy - luckily, Stokesay had no issues and we were fully up and running. The event director, Stephanie Tusky, is a joy to work with. Very friendly and helpful, which is great during a time as stressful as wedding planning (with the added bonus of a hurricane tossed in). Our wedding coordinator changed in the midst of our planning process; this was not ideal. However, through coordination with Larissa and Stephanie, ultimately we were able to get all of the kinks worked out, and they were willing to be more flexible than normal thanks to the circumstances, which we certainly appreciated.

All in all, Stokesay is a great place, whether you're looking for a fancy dinner, drinks at the Knights Pub, or a wedding venue. An easy five stars.

Stokesay Castle was fantastic! The service was wonderful, the wedding coordinator did a wonderful job with setting up and even made our placecards. Would not have changed a thing!

My husband and I had an absolutely beautiful wedding at Stokesay Castle! Everyone who came said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. With all of the stress and craziness leading up to our day, I had given up the idea that I would feel like a princess. I just wanted things to go smoothly. However, once we got there they started us off by bringing a cheese and fruit platter with champagne and orange juice, as well as coffee and tea, to my princess suite. From the moment we arrived we were all waited on hand and foot. I was even assigned a personal attendant for the day, who went above and beyond, ducking behind me and my husband with a tray of food so that we wouldn't miss out during photos. I never felt like I was pretending to be a princess, I really and truly felt royal for the day and I know all of our guests felt pampered as well.

Stokesay Castle was the perfect venue for our wedding. We were looking for a site that had character and class. Both were abundantly present.

Food, service and setting up decor for the ceremony and receptions sites were handled flawlessly. Highly recommend the Risotto bar as part of the food package. Everyone loved it as did we!

Even a month after the wedding, our guests are still talking about the venue, the food, the atmosphere and beautiful our wedding day was.

We did have multiple issues with billing where bills were sent out but not checked by their team. In the one instance, the bill was $1,000 overstated. Once the matters were brought to their attention, the bills were corrected. Do not just accept what you see on the bill, understand it and proof it.

The preferred vendors list was for the most part good with the exception of their primary preferred vendor for decor. The company was led by an obnoxious, rude man that knew nothing of customer service and how important a wedding day is to the bride and groom. We did share our concerns regarding this vendor with Stokesay's staff multiple times. Ultimately this was the reason we did most of our own decor.

Overall this was a fantastic place to have a reception. The food was great, the staff was very professional and the grounds are beautiful. The only complaint I would have is the wait staff. They seemed totally disinterested in helping us gather our belongings at the end of the night. For example, my cake topper and serving set went missing and when we asked one of the servers to find them for us, they acted like it was a total bother to them and made a big deal about going to the kitchen to find them. That annoyed me. Besides that little hiccup, the reception was wonderful.

Stokesay was BEAUITFUL. Laura really came through for us in the end. It was a perfect day.

We absolutely loved working with Emily from the moment we stepped foot into Stokesay Castle. She made our planning process effortless-continually responding to emails and calls from both myself and my mom who was helping us to coordinate the big day. I loved working with her-she is definitely the highlight of the staff at Stokesay. The castle itself is gorgeous and there are so many places for unique, timeless photos.

The food is also incredible, however the kitchen was understaffed for the day of our wedding and we wound up running an hour behind schedule for our reception which was a little upsetting given the timeline with our other out of venue vendors. Luckily, Emily swept right in and smoothed over our panic and we still got to fit everything in that we wanted to for our photographer and videographer and they generously allowed our wedding to continue past the original ending time to make up for what we missed. I hope they can work out the kinks in the kitchen/serving staff because that is the only reason we can’t give a 5.

We used Stokesay as our reception site for our wedding this fall. I knew I wanted to have my wedding at Stokesay someday even before I was engaged. The venue itself is a dream - the grounds are beautiful and the food is excellent. Seriously- if nothing else went right, I knew from the tasting that the food would be delicious, and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and courteous and worked to make sure our day was everything that we wanted it to be. They had signature cocktails at their bridal show earlier in the yera and I requested to have the same ones at the wedding - they were a huge hit with the guests! Larissa was very responsive and usually would get back to me within a day of asking questions, which is a luxury among wedding vendors who can take days or weeks to respond.

The only reason we did not give them a perfect score was because of the few things that inevitably did not go as planned. We had wanted well and call drinks only since we were paying per drink, but premium cocktails ended up being served as well. To Stokesay's credit, they provided a refund for the different of any premium drink ordered, so they made it right. Also, my mom had worked for days on a slideshow that was to be played on the two drop down screens in the ballroom during dinner. We arrived the night before the reception to set some things up and were told that the one screen hasn't been working (it needed a part and the part was being ordered). We were never informed of this until the night before even though the slideshow had been discussed previously, and had to rush to put together a small computer monitor as some other way to play the slideshow during the cocktail hour space. It was a little disappointing that no one had given us a heads up.

Overall, the night went smoothly and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this reception site to any bride who prioritizes amazing ambiance and great food!

different type of venue with the Castle theme. Food was ok for the price. Not many extras could be added which might have changed by now.

Cocktail hour was very disappointing. We saw only 2 waitress waking around & with very little food. Our table was approached only two times. There were very few pieces on the small plate the two times waiters came over. I only saw one kind of food served the two times they came; some sort of baked scallop paste, didn’t feel like scallops! Lighting was not good at all, just dusky, no color, sad looking room. Zero decorations! In addition to few so called scallops, they didn’t serve fool dinner either. Only really non impressive salad & main course. No soup! There was a small stand on one side of the room where they supposedly had some cheese & veggies which I didn’t see. No announcement for it ether. Ad then cake in the end. No choice of other sweets, no fruits at all. Oh! I was appalling when restaurant rep. Came to us in a beginning of he wedding (basically as soon as we sat down) & asked to pay for three extra people!!! There were NO THREE EXTRA people for sure. We know for a fact that five people didn’t show because their cards were on the entrance table till the end. We ondeted where did they take that info from. However, wedding is not a good time to argue so my husband just paid. It was quiet unbelivable. All together, this place is not there to make your day great, they are there to get your money.
