Wedding venue

TJ and his staff went above and beyond for us. He helped make our day perfect! The venue is gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out. TJ was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. The food was amazing! We stayed in the rooms the night before and the beds were comfortable. I honestly cant say enough good things! It was perfect!

Excellent Place for a Party

We had my son's wedding at the Stirling, and it was perfect. It was on Halloween and we had about 50 guests. TJ (the owner) was great and helped the couple plan an outdoor wedding there, followed by the reception inside. He tailored it to fit their personalities. We had many compliments on the staff, and the food was delicious.
Since it also has guest rooms to rent, we will be using it for future business events too!

TJ and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and yet make the entire weekend a spectacular event! The venue is stunning and wonderful, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the people are simply marvelous! We simply can't say enough great things about the Stirling. Our guests haven't stopped raving either.

We got married here in October and I can not even put into words how amazing the Stirling is. When we started looking for wedding venues, the only thing we knew was that we did not want a country club wedding. The second we stepped foot into the mansion and met TJ, we knew that we didn't want to look anywhere else. TJ was absolutely amazing in helping to plan the event. TJ, Peter, and all of the staff was excellent through executing the event itself. Food is outstanding. Guest rooms are beautiful. The mansion itself makes for the most gorgeous photos. When you have a Saturday wedding here, the entire mansion is yours for the night. We were able to continue partying after the event was over as if it was our own home and wake up to a wonderful breakfast with our closest family and friends the next morning. Our day was more perfect than we ever could have imagined. We plan to continue going to chefs tastings here every November to celebrate our anniversary. If you are searching for wedding venues make sure to check this place out. Highly, highly recommend.

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about this venue. TJ and Peter are amazing and the place is stunning! I had a 1920s themed wedding there and it was perfect. TJ gladly answered all of my questions before and during the event. The price was very reasonable for this type of event and the best part was that it was "my mansion for the day." The food is some of the best I've ever eaten aswell. If you need an event venue or are looking for somewhere to stay overnight look no further! I would love to stay there again in the future.

Can't say enough nice things about this place and about the staff. Everything was totally beautiful and meant every expectation We expected. TJ was a blessing we couldn't have done it without him. We will pass the word to everyone we know !! We will be stopping for that occasional cuppa coffee. Thank you again for everything you did for us.

TJ and the other staff at the Stirling were amazing! Our wedding went off without a hitch. TJ really went above and beyond to accommodate any request we threw at him. Not only did he coordinate the catering and staff, he helped us set up/decorate and helped direct the ceremony and make sure everything went according to schedule. Everyone raved about the food and how beautiful the venue is. We loved being able to rent the whole venue for the entire weekend and it was especially convenient to stay in the rooms on site. I would recommend the Stirling to anyone planning a wedding in the area. It is an amazing value and you will not have to worry about a thing on your wedding day!

Our son got married on a stormy Friday night in June. The bride had her heart set on getting married outside and TJ and the staff did everything possible to make that happen. They had to quickly move the chairs several times from inside to outside until Mother Nature took over and the ceremony was held inside. The food was amazing and my family raved about the food from the appetizers to the desserts to the breakfast the next morning. I saw several of the guest rooms my family stayed in, both in the mansion and the carriage house. The décor was beautiful. I would definitely recommend The Stirling Guest Hotel as a wedding venue!

TJ was great in helping us plan our small wedding, he was willing to meet when I needed to discuss details he helped us stay as close as possible to our budget. Was super helpful and flexible with allowing us to deliver things before hand so that the groom and I didn't have to worry about details during the day. He was helpful in giving ideas on how to set up everything from tables to ceremony and even food and drinks. We were clueless about a lot of things on how to make everything fit our budget. The place was beautiful, clean, and an absolute delight. We took pictures outdoors and indoors as the flowers look beautiful in the first week of June. The bar and food service was great! The DJ was accomadated in a room and had what he needed to set up. Our family and friends were all delighted with everything. We had rooms reserved for some of the family and friends to stay the night. The groom and I also stayed the night. Breakfast was included with room stay and that was ready early since a lot of our family needed to drive 5-8hrs. TJ has amazing people skills he works with your every detail and is very willing to make things work. Funny aside I forgot my bouquet inside once my mom and I were going to walk so that she'd hand me off to the groom and TJ ran inside for me to get my bouquet! My husband and I think their service is excellent!

I don't know what I could say about this place or these two gentlemen to do it justice. If I could rate them a 10 out of 5 I would. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are outstanding, but what did it for us was how accommodating, helpful, and just awesome all the people were. Made us feel like a part of their little family every time we spoke with them or saw them. Wedding service was also second to none, everyone there was amazing to us and our guests. And I can't even begin to talk about the food. Incredible.

In all honesty I would rate this venue well over five if I could. The property itself is breathtaking, the grounds are kept up perfectly and the owners are phenomenal. One of the biggest things I wanted was a venue with a fireplace since our wedding was in December, what we never expected was the temperature that day to be in the 70's. In a split second we asked TJ & Peter if we could have the wedding outside and with no hesitation they had it done. And if that wasnt enough they got a fire going in the fireplace despite of the unusually high temps outside. Everything was done with a smile and with not negativity at all. They care about the property and genuinely care about anyone who walks thru their doors. They truly stand out aove the rest!!

We had our reception at the Stirling Guest Hotel and it was perfect! TJ was extremely helpful with everything and planning was easy. The menu selections are extensive with several options for hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Chef Ron did a great job and all of the food was excellent! The entire staff was very helpful and courteous the entire time. The accommodations for our out of town guests were great as well as the breakfast the following morning. If I could do it all again I would choose the same location for our reception. You can't go wrong booking this for your event!

Cannot provide enough positive feedback about this venue! Our day was amazing and perfect thanks to the Stirling Guest Hotel. TJ and Peter offer attention to detail that is second to none. In the months and weeks prior to our wedding, I would call and text TJ with all sorts of questions, thoughts, ideas, and either a) the Stirling already had it covered or b) TJ said "Sure, we can do that!" Their attention to detail was outstanding. The grounds and venue are breathtaking, the accommodations for our out of town guests were spectacular. The chef's menu was gourmet; our guests raved about the food, from hors d'oeuvres to dinner and dessert, to our brunch the next morning--amazing. The service and staff were friendly and perfect. I couldn't imagine a more perfect place for our day. Cannot offer a higher recommendation without hesitation for the Stirling Guest Hotel. Thank you so much!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Stirling in May, and it was absolutely wonderful. We had our ceremony outside on the steps and our reception in the mansion. We also had our rehearsal dinner there the night before, which was outside near the pool area. This was nice because it was still a beautiful setting, but was separate from the mansion area that we used for the wedding. We had a Saturday wedding, so we were able to book all 15 rooms for the night. This was really convenient, as our wedding party and close family members were able to stay at the venue for the night and a delicious breakfast was served the next morning.

The venue itself is beautiful and elegant. The artwork, furniture, and other details are so exquisite that we felt the need to do very minimal decorating. It is definitely different from the typical reception hall, which we loved. It created a unique and intimate atmosphere for our big day. The grounds are also gorgeous, making it a perfect place for an outdoor ceremony.

Additionally, the entire staff is phenomenal. We worked with TJ to plan the event, and he was very helpful and easy to work with. We were planning the wedding from out of state, and he was so accommodating and just made the whole planning process very easy. The staff was also fantastic. Everyone was very personable, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly on the big day. The food was delicious. The rooms were beautiful. The pricing was very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Everything about it was more perfect than I could have imagined, and I have absolutely no complaints. My husband and I will definitely be returning in the future!

The Stirling was a pheonominal venue for our wedding. Everything was perfect and the owners TJ and Peter are great to work with. The venue itself is beautiful, both inside and out. All of our guests raved about both how beautiful the place was and also amazing the food was. We had our wedding on a Saturday, and so also had all the guest rooms for the night. This was a great bonus; everyone who stayed over really enjoyed it, and the breakfast the following morning was just as good as the night before. We are confident this was the best value we could have ever found, and couldn't be happier with our choice to select the Stirling for our wedding.

The Stirling was the first venue we visited in our search for an affordable location for our wedding, and it met our needs and desires perfectly. It's beautiful (inside and out), operated by some wonderful people (TJ and the staff are consummate professionals), had room for both of our families and the entire wedding party in the mansion, and were also able to sleep several friends in the carriage house. It was perfect for us. As a wedding venue, it suits a nice-sized, intimate crowd (we had 115 including 4 vendors) and allowed us to marry on the front steps of the porch, our guests perfectly placed in a semi-circle around us. It made for beautiful pictures and also has a wonderful covered area we used for our cocktail hour (which became a necessary part of our evening as the entire day was unseasonably warm). The food was phenomenal; our guests told us all night how much they enjoyed everything. Overall, the Stirling was an awesome experience, and we will absolutely be back!

My husband and I just had the most outstanding wedding at the Stirling Guest Hotel. It was a perfect May day. Our ceremony was outside and all the trees and flowers on the grounds were in bloom making the air smell amazing. The mansion is so impressive and such a character to its own. I love that many of the furnishings are original to the house (lanterns from 1920's China for example and the crystal chandeliers in almost every room). We had a vintage-inspired wedding and the setting could not have been more perfect.

And let me stop for a second to gush a bit about the delicious food. My husband and I wanted something that was really us - and that meant a breakfast inspired meal for dinner. Chef Ron was up to the challenge and we had an amazing menu. We got so many compliments on the food (mini-monte cristo's, bacon wrapped sweet potatoes, and an amazing mashed potato bar). The staff was so sweet and brought my husband and me each a plate so we could actually enjoy our food without having to sacrifice any time with our guests. One of the best things about the Stirling is that at the end of the evening, our bridal party was able to stay the night with us (in incredible rooms I may add). We stayed up late singing songs around the baby grand piano and enjoying each others' company.

TJ and the rest of the Stirling staff gave us such an amazing day. TJ was easy to work with and very happy to answer all of our questions in the months and weeks ahead of the wedding. If you are even considering getting married in a mansion, do take the time to visit the Stirling (it's just a fun tour in and of itself). The grounds are so gorgeous, the Mansion is stunning, the service is outstanding, and the price is very reasonable especially given that you get to stay there. Five stars and then some.

I cannot say enough great things about the Stirling Guest hotel and its staff! My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Stirling on 10/18/14, and it was absolutely amazing. TJ and Pete made the planning process as easy as possible, and were so great to work with. The grounds and mansion itself are meticulously maintained, and all of our guests couldn't believe just how gorgeous it was! The food was to die for, and the waitstaff were not only helpful, but were sincerely genuine and seemed to truly love what they do. Our wedding was on a Saturday so we were lucky enough to have the 15 rooms at the mansion for our closest friends and family, and it was such a cool experience to say in such a beautiful mansion for the night. Not only will we continue to recommend the Stirling Guest Hotel to everyone we know, we'll be using the Stirling for future events of our own!

We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Stirling and I could not have been more happy with how everything went!!

For our rehearsal dinner we went with a BBQ menu and tables set up outside by the pool so that it would be completely different from our wedding day. The food was amazing and everything went smoothly.

The only downside to our wedding day at Stirling was that it rained. We had originally planned to have our ceremony outside on the porch, but it was not to be. Instead we had our ceremony inside with the "aisle" being the staircase down into the main room. Because of the smaller space, some guests unfortunately had to stand and I was a little worried about that. However, I didn't hear any complaints from anyone and it actually made the whole experience so much more intimate. Stirling did a fantastic job of getting that space ready for the ceremony and then seamlessly changing the room over with tables for our reception during cocktail hour. I was really impressed. The food was once again fantastic. Over two weeks after our wedding and we are still getting complimented on the food there and guests asking us if they can just go there to eat.

The owners of Stirling were easy to work with and were always responsive when we needed to ask them questions. Additionally, perhaps one of the best things about the place is that with your reception fee, you get all of the 15 rooms to assign to guests for the night of your wedding! The rooms are so ornate and amazingly decorated and it was so nice to be able to share those with some of our closest friends and family. Bonus, there is a breakfast buffet included for anyone who stays over.

The only downside some might have is the space limitations. We only had 100 guests and with any more than that having the ceremony inside might not have worked as well as it did. But if you are having, even up to 120 people, really consider Stirling. I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I had a quick engagement... three months to be exact. TJ was so wonderful in helping make sure I could have a wedding there, and I'm so glad that we went with the Stirling! TJ and team were wonderful in helping me make my wedding possible and very flexible in letting us come in when we needed to in preparation. The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful... we had originally wanted a bohemian outdoor wedding/reception, but having our ceremony outside on the grounds and then reception inside was such a blessing. It rained for part of the day, which I guess is good luck for us?
The decor is amazing and so much better than a reception hall. A lot less to decorate too. The food was soo delicious, and made me feel good to know that there was a cook making most everything from scratch that day. The whole reception felt like a fancy dinner party for us/guests and I loved it.

We had an amazing experience with Stirling. We wanted a beautiful, intimate setting that would put our guests at ease and provide a personal experience. The hotel and grounds are lovely, and its coordinator, T.J., was a dream to work with. We felt like individuals, not anonymous “Bride and Groom” consumers. He was responsive and thoughtful throughout all stages of planning. Highlights:

Gorgeous setting: Having the hotel, carriage house and grounds made for a very comfortable experience. We had our ceremony outdoors under some beautiful old conifers, and then moved indoors for dinner. The hotel is so well decorated, we didn’t have to spend a lot of time and money on décor.

Service: T.J. Sophy is the point of contact and day-of coordinator. He made all aspects of wedding planning easier, and really understood the atmosphere we were trying to achieve. Every staff member was just top-notch.

Top-quality food: From hors d'oeuvres to breakfast the next morning, the food was absolutely wonderful. We are “foodies” and avid home cooks, so we were a little nervous because we wouldn’t have time to attend a dinner and taste the food before the wedding. We went on the strong recommendations of reviewers and close friends who said the food was delicious, and we are so glad we did. Everything was freshly prepared and incredibly tasty.

Privacy & customization: We brought in our own alcohol, which saved money and let us pick exactly what we’d want to serve. The chef used a personal recipe for one of the entrees, and the staff plated cheeses that we provided, both with no extra charge. This level of personalization, and being the only event on site, made the day feel luxurious even though we didn’t have a high budget.

Cost: Stirling is a great deal! We looked a number of popular venues in the Philly area. Stirling was the most beautiful by far, and the most affordable. We would highly recommend the Stirling Guest Hotel. The price and experience really can’t be beat.

We absolutely loved our experience working with TJ and his staff at the Stirling Guest House. They truly made our event special and took care of everything so that Dave and I could enjoy our day. The space was perfect for not only our band but our family and friends. Dave and I both enjoy the guest house and frequently attend chef tastings. The food is fantastic!

The Stirling Guest Hotel is a magnificent Victorian Mansion from the beautiful grounds outside to the wonderful grandeur inside. The innkeeper and his team are professional and polite and handle the facility and events there with excellence. The food and service is outstanding!

Our wedding and reception at the Stirling will no doubt be the most memorable day of our lives! Thank you!! We highly recommend the Stirling- an EXCELLENT, BEAUTIFUL VENUE!!

I hosted my daughter's bridal shower at Stirling. Our theme was 1920's. The setting was phenomenal. TJ and his staff were wonderful to work with. Prompt answers to emails and the day of the shower the staff was accommodating to anything I asked of them. We enjoyed the roominess of the mansion. The main room was set up as we had lunch. The staff were very friendly to the guests at the bar and tables. The guests raved about the food. My daughter was blown away by how beautiful everything was. It was the most perfect event in the most perfect setting. Everything was smooth and organized. I was so happy to find this gem of a venue close to home. I would highly recommend any event to be held at Stirling. Thank you TJ , your chef and staff! This party will be remembered by everyone.

Absolutely the best deal you will find on this or any other site. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the grounds were, how delicious the food was, and how perfect the day was. My now husband and i were planning the wedding in six months and trying so hard to find a venue that was not only available but affordable and also felt like us. We found the Stirling and as soon as we pulled up to the building we knew there was something special about the place. We met Tj inside and we were blown away by everything that we saw. Tj was the best, he was in constant contact with us throughout the entire process...even my crazy antics with not making up my mind with the event being outside or inside, and my number of guests constantly changing, and rearranging everything up until days before the wedding, he was absolutely amazing about everything! One of my favorite things about the venue is the entire atmosphere that it brings, i was so excited to show every little detail i could find to my guests,(my favorite is the carvings on the columns in the main room) especially showing my grandfather who used to be an architect, he loved the place! The big day arrived and i of course had my wedding day panic on my face, Tj and his staff took care of everything! I didn't have one worry! The food was amazing too!! I had the quiche....and i want more haha :) I could not have asked for a more perfect group of people to make the entire day from my arrival to departure completely carefree and amazing. We stayed overnight with close family and the wedding parties, one of the best things that the Stirling provided was the opportunity to spend, what i've always been told is the shortest day of your life, celebrating with the people you love into the wee hours of the morning. I would recommend Tj, his staff and the beautiful venue over and over again. Thank you so much for making our special day better than we could have ever dreamed!

From the moment I selected The Stirling as the venue for my wedding, I had a sense of calm. That's not the normal feeling for a bride to be. TJ and staff were over the top accommodating and professional. We held our cocktail hour in the mansion followed by dinner and dancing in a rented tent. The fee for a tent rental was such a great value. There was absolutely nothing we had to do. The grounds are so well kept and the beauty of the mansion speaks for itself. We had all the guest rooms reserved both in the mansion and the carriage house. Every guest loved their room. The breakfast they served the following morning was wonderful and a great way to say good bye to our guests. I could go on for days how happy I am that I was fortunate to have my wedding at the Stirling. Great food (have to have the scallops wrapped with bacon,), great venue, and amazing service. Last but not least I need to share a comment made by the bakery that supplied my cake. When I mentioned how kind everyone was at the Stirling, they said not only do they treat their customers well and with respect, they said they also treat their staff and vendors with the same respect. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Please consider The Stirling for your Wedding or special event. It is the most beautiful setting you have ever seen. TJ & Peter will go out of their way to make your day the most memorable it can possibly be. Chef Ron is amazing when it comes to the food! You can sit back and relax and know everything will be in good hands!

TJ and his staff were absolutely fabulous from beginning to end! The communication was always wonderful. I have never experienced an event before where I could say that not one thing went wrong. Now I can!!! Absolutely everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the venue exquisite, and the rooms absolutely charming and spotless!! You gave my daughter the day she wanted and for that I cannot say thank you enough!! Not only were we pleased but so many of our guests raved about Stirling Guest Hotel and could not believe how fabulous it was. As I have said before I would recommend you 100 times over :-)))

From the moment we booked the Stirling Guest Hotel to the weekend of the wedding, I couldn't be more thrilled with how perfectly everything went. This is an incredible venue, and if you are looking for an elegant, classy, yet somewhat different venue, I highly recommend the Stirling. Firstly, the entire staff is wonderful. TJ was so laid-back and stress-free, yet somehow had everything under control at all times. He was so friendly and so easy to deal with, and did everything in his power to make all of my requests a reality! We had a Saturday wedding, so we rented out all of the 16 rooms for our guests, which was really convenient as we didn't have to worry about transportation or an after party after the reception because everything was right there. We also had a wedding of 190, so we went with a tented reception on the lawn, which turned out to be a great decision, as we had wonderful weather and it was so nice to be outside. The tent was dressed up with the lighting and decorations that we used, so it really was an amazing night. People were free to come and go between the mansion and the tent throughout the reception to use the restrooms or hang out inside. As far as the food goes, it was absolutely delicious, and we are still getting comments from guests about how great the food tasted! The rooms themselves are so vintage and so antique- like nothing I've ever seen before and it really felt so much more special than a regular hotel room. This place is absolutely gorgeous, and every single thing ran so smoothly. Additionally, for the size and quality of our wedding, I know for a fact we got an exceptional value as well. There are very few places that can compare to the Stirling, and my only regret is that I wasted time looking at other venues first! We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect wedding day. I highly highly recommend the Stirling Guest Hotel for your wedding, and can guarantee they will do a fantastic job!

TJ and Peter were nothing short of extraordinary! They made planning for both the ceremony and reception a walk in the park. The were incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating! The Stirling itself is absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. The food was a feast for the eyes and beyond delicious! I would highly recommend The Stirling for both it's beauty and for the incomparable service we received from TJ, Peter and the entire staff at this fairy tale venue!

My entire experience in dealing with the Stirling was fantastic. The owners are so flexible, knowledgeable, responsive, and kind. The staff was extremely professional and courteous as well. The building itself is so gorgeous, and was exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day. While we did not get to taste the food before our wedding, we were THRILLED at its quality. Everything was done to perfection, served elegantly, and was served at the proper temperature. Overall, I have not one complaint about the Stirling, it is a hidden gem!

The Stirling is a beautiful place with amazing character. The staff was very accommodating and made our day perfect. The food was excellent. TJ helped us plan every little detail to bring our vision to life. Everyone had a fantastic time and we know they will be talking about the Stirling for years to come. This truly is a awesome place.

The Stirling Guest Hotel was the best place for our wedding. We loved the beautiful personal atmosphere. The owners were personal and professional. They oversaw everything flawlessly. The food was very classy and delicous. The facility was gorgeous and well maintained. The price was very reasonable. There were no hidden fees for the extras we asked them to do. We also liked that because you aren't charged by the hour, no one kicks the guests out rudely at the end of the night. We paid less than 1/2 of what 3 other couples paid in the last year at other venues, and our mutual guests have told us in private that ours was the nicest!

Stirling Guest Hotel was the best ceremony and reception venue we could have asked for! The building and the grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff are simply the best! We dealt with TJ throughout our wedding planning process, and he was so helpful. We were planning our wedding from abroad, and TJ really went above and beyond to help - the wedding would not have gone so smoothly without his help! He received our wedding flowers for us and looked after them until we arrived, he was willing to let us store some of our wedding decor beforehand as we had limitations with transport, he decorated the bar and the cake table with gold ribbon to match our centerpieces, he also provided us with h'or doeuvres and drinks while we were having our photos taken during the cocktail hour. TJ was also very responsive and promptly answered the millions of questions we had via email, which was a huge help when planning a wedding from overseas! Our wedding would not have been the same without the staff at Stirling, and especially TJ. Thank you for helping to make our day so special!

The Stirling is an absolutely beautiful venue and it was just perfect for us. The fact that we had the whole hotel was amazing. We loved giving the rooms to family and they loved being right on site. The rooms are all different, yet each was immaculate and comfortable. TJ was fantastic to deal with the entire time I was planning the event. And the food was beyond fantastic. Everyone raved about the food, the venue, the service, everything! I highly recommend the Stirling!

The Stirling Guest Hotel was the perfect choice since when I started planning a year ago. Our wedding was on a VERY hot Sunday in July. TJ was always available to answer any questions and worked with me regarding prices since I had a very tight budget. We got married outside, but in the back next to the gorgeous japanese maple tree. We had about 140 people. TJ and Peter were very accommodating due to the spurts of rain, which ended up cooling the day down. Peter brought our h'ordeuvres aroudn to us while we were getting our pictures taken. This was very special because I was told that usually the bride and groom never get to enjoy their food until they sit to eat. Thank you! The food was AMAZING!!!! We had Pork, Chicken, and Pasta. I never heard a complaint, but was continually informed of how delicious all the food was. If I could change anything about the day or venue, I wouldn't (except maybe the 105 degree heat). I would recommend The Stirling to anyone who wants a great price for an Amazingly Beautiful, Victorian venue! Thanks againTJ and Peter for making my day memorable and perfect!

The Stirling was perfect for our June 2009 wedding ceremony and reception. The Victorian mansion and setting were beautiful, and were incorporated into our video. The service was impeccable. From the customized setup to the food to the accomodations and grounds, we couldn't ask for anything better. My beautiful brider made her entrance coming down the staircase, pausing on the landing for a moment for all to see, then joined me in front of the fireplace for the ceremony. The pastor stood with his back to the fireplace, and we stood in front of him with our guests seated in chairs behind us. An unexpected bonus, our videographers and photographers were able to capture ours' and our guests' faces in the mirror for some striking and unique images.

After the ceremony, the open bar and hors d'oeuvres on the patio kept our guests occupied while we did our pictures outside on the beautiful grounds. We hear that the hors d'oeuvres were all delicious. Gino, who took care of all details perfectly, took the extra step of bringing some hors d'oeuvres and two glasses of champagne out to us, which we were able to include in our pictures. Thank you again Gino, we were starving!

To sum up, the reception and food were fantastic, the premises gorgeous, and everything taken care of perfectly. There was room for the DJ, the dance floor, the string quartet, and all of our guests. It was the perfect venue for our wedding.

Everything about our experience with Kaj and Gino was exceptional. They were always available if we had any questions, thoroughly reviewed everything with us to put us at ease.

When you book with them for a Saturday wedding, you have the mansion for Saturday and Sunday. It includes a Brunch, and accommodations for 32 people. We had family and our wedding party stay, and it was a blast.

We had a July wedding, and had the ceremony outside in a little grove that they have on site. Our cocktail hour was on their gorgeous patio and grounds, and then we had our reception in a tent.

By booking with them, you commit to catering, bar service, accommodations, and the reception site, and ceremony site if you'd like. The food was phenomenal! If you get your cake from and outside source, it is $1 p/p cutting fee.

The Stirling is beautiful, and was the perfect setting for our outdoor wedding. The staff was extremely accommodating and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone planning a wedding in the Reading area. There's nothing else like it around!

I would Recommend Stirling to anyone. We loved that by having a Saturday Wedding the entire place was reserved just for our wedding. The grounds, buildings and suites are beautiful, and a picture perfect place for a wedding.They let us have the place starting early morning Saturday even though our wedding was not until 4 PM.TJ is super nice, friendly, and extremely accommodating (He is the owner). While everything at Stirling is Excellent for a wedding, Chef Ron is the standout star. His food is top notch. Everybody raved about the food.

Hosting our daughter's wedding at the Stirling Guest Hotel was a wonderful experience. TJ was so accommodating & guided us well through our plans, always allowing the personal touches. So many people said how relaxed we seemed with a wedding event in the works, but great ideas, good organization, & excellent planning with TJ's help were the keys to an enchanting evening. The food was truly superb & the decor lovely. The servers were top notch and accommodating with a few specific requests, always responding politely and expediently. Peter also didn't go unnoticed as he worked to make things run like clockwork. The rooms were beautiful & our guests were able to enjoy a great breakfast the next morning. We received the most flattering comments about the wedding/reception. The groom beamed as he said that it felt like welcoming people to an elaborate event in our own amazing historic mansion. So intimate, so much fun, so many memories!

Change of ownership & management

The Stirling Guest Hotel is an absolutely beautiful place for a wedding. We had our whole wedding party and close family stay on sight Friday and Saturday nights. Being on location the whole time was very easy, and breakfast was provided both mornings. The cost is very modest considering the price of weddings, and they were extremely flexible and accommodating to all of my wishes!

Unfortunately, the venue changed ownership in May 2019, three months before my wedding, and I had to find out when I reached out to previous management with questions. Additionally, the person assigned to be my new wedding event coordinator by the new owner as well as the head chef were BOTH changed without notifying me whatsoever. We found this out at a final meeting the Tuesday before our wedding. The food turned out fine (fantastic steaks, chicken dish not really what I was expecting, overcooked veggies), but the lack of communication coming from the venue was quite frustrating. The new owners are very kind and friendly people, so perhaps these kinks will work out in time. The new new woman doing event coordination could improve her listening skills, so be assertive when you speak with her. All in all, got married, it was great in spite of some frustrations.

They were exceptionally helpful in helping us plan our wedding and understanding of the fact that we paid for it by ourselves. Property is gorgeous. Our wedding was amazing, down to the food. Everything was amazing. They seemed very courteous and professional throughout the 10 months we had a relationship with them. However, their attitudes quickly changed the day after our wedding. After we had packed up our car, we were told (and had in writing) that our wedding's total cost was $3000 (which was prepaid in installments months prior) and then we would just be paying for the meals AND had 10 days after wedding to do so. We were not even out of the driveway yet and they had called my cell phone (which was buried and in silent mode) several times. We arrived home and quickly returned the calls because we thought maybe we had forgotten something. No, it was to harass us for payment. We explained that we had to go through our gifts and see what monetary gifts we were given, and also were waiting our new credit card in the mail because it had been stolen the night before. We explained this, not once but twice over the phone. My husband said he would call as soon as we received our new credit card in the mail. They continued to badger us like bill collectors, and were not remotely nice about it either. We made it clear what the circumstance was, that we were definitely not going to stiff them, and also recalled the contract that stated we still have 10 days. The breaking point was TJ actually contacting MY MOTHER via FACEBOOK, and saying he "couldn't get a hold of us regarding payment". HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!! Some kind of ploy to get my parents to pay? I don't think so. We were furious. Our credit card ended up arriving the very next day, and we ended up having to shell out an additional $7,000. Long story short, they need to be more clear about payment and cost, and have a shred of professionalism when dealing with clients. I no longer recommend them.
