Incredible LGBTQIA+ Wedding Photographer
Having an LGBTQIA+ friendly wedding photographer was really important to us. Steven was the perfect choice. He was incredibly responsive, went above and beyond with answering our questions as we reviewed photographer options, did an incredible job day of navigating challenging weather, and delivered our final photos before we could even get back from our honeymoon. I would highly recommend him to any LGBTQIA+ couple getting married in the NYC metro area and/or anyone getting married in Central Park given his extensive experience photographing in the park.

Steven Rosen Wedding Photography!
Working with Steven was great! My husband and I got married at City Hall and had in mind wandering around the city streets and City Hall Park, etc. This was a bit of an "on the fly" photo session and Steve was not only flexible and down with what we wanted, he found some terrific locations we wouldn't have thought of. When we got our file with the photos we made a short list of ones to order that was anything but "short"! It took us a while to finalize our list because there were so many photos that we loved. You can't go wrong using Steven. He is talented, friendly, flexible and we are thrilled with our pictures!

Could not have asked for better!
Steven was one of the greatest things about our wedding. He was a photographer and so much more. He helped us plan, set expectations, and demonstrated such a creative and thoughtful approach to our wedding that we are still glowing over the results. Steven also helped us make sure we got the best value for our in investment and went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing day despite a wedding plan that was a little complex! Hidden gem!
Steven is a hidden gem for sure. I was just browsing for wedding photographer in New York when i saw Steven. I sent him a message and within 10 minutes he replied and after 30 minutes we had a zoom meeting and booked him directly.
We are a couple from Norway going to New York to get married and we wanted to take the photos in the city we both love so much. To have a photographer that know the secrets of the city aswell as the hidden gems around is truly amazing.
From the first encounter to the final good bye there was true professionalism, passion and dedication to get the best photos.
We would truly recommend Steven for all future events.

Knowledgeable wedding photographer!
We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see. He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony Central Park shoot.

Our nyc elopement
Where do we start. Firstly let us say that we would highly recommend Steven for your wedding photographer, the photographs he captured for us on our special day far exceeded what we expected.
From our first Teams meeting with Steven to his replies to the numerous e-mails we sent, Steven was always a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much trouble for him. On the actual day, himself & Dan (his assistant) put our nerves at ease and being the perfectionist Steven is, he would always make sure he 'got the shot'. We provided Steven with a 'wish list' of places we would like photographs taken, on the day we managed to do them all.
Besides being our photographer (and witness), Steven also recommended Brooklyn Promenade as the location for our wedding ceremony, having Manhattan skyline & Brooklyn Bridge as your back drop was stunning.
All in all we couldn't have been happier so only have one more thing to say 'book Steven as your photographer' :-)

You're in great hands
Steven shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding, which was in the back garden of a restaurant on a sweltering July evening. It was super easy to deal with him because he anticipated everything and adapted when unexpected things came up on the day. Instead of doing the traditional stuff during our reception, we had a big, long dinner in a low-lit space crowded with tables. There wasn't a lot to photograph during this time, but Steven took the initiative to grab guests one-by-one and take their portraits in the garden. These photos turned out beautifully and make for lovely mementoes.
Steven also went well beyond his job duties to make sure we were set up for success. For example, right before I was meant to walk down the aisle, he noticed the venue staff had hung a few of our paper lanterns too low above the aisle. Had he not noticed, and roped our mercifully tall celebrant into raising them, I would have walked through an obstacle course instead of walking down an aisle!
I totally recommend Steven. He is charming, prepared for anything, and a great guy to have in your corner on your wedding day.

A step above
Steven definitely has the eye of an artist and it shows in his work. For our wedding last October; we had Steven do our engagement photos and entire wedding. He is very professional and on time. Very open to collaboration and at the same time we felt very comfortable and confident in his vision and decided upon letting him do his own thing and try to capture the event without much direction from us. We were very happy with the results. He also did great portraits for our guests (instead of having a photo booth) and will be doing professional photos for us soon. Steven Rosen to the rescue!
Attempting to be informal, we had a smallish wedding in a lovely but rather dark Victorian era NYC church. After a last-minute cancelation, Steven Rosen made time in his schedule to photograph our wedding. Attendees who snapped shots of us with their phones during the ceremony and reception all failed to capture a clear image. On a compressed schedule, Steven was able to quickly capture spectacularly lit shots in the dark church, capture all the moments--even redoing a few when attendees prevented certain shots--and in his bright jacket was able to wrangle two diverse family groups, not all of whom spoke English, or listened very well. Weddings are stressful enough and many feel that a professional photographer is not needed when so many friends have good enough cameras on their phones. Having been so fortunate to have Steven at my wedding, however, I could not now imagine not having these great photos that captured moments and rare family groupings. I am very grateful to Steven and would highly recommend him.

Broadway Engagement Shoot
Steven was so amazing for our engagement photo shoot in NYC! We are doing a Broadway themed wedding and wanted to get some photos at the Broadway theaters and time square. We hired Steven as our courthouse wedding photographer and he exceeded our expectations. We are hoping we can have him do our maternity photoshoot and he will definitely be our go to for all of our family photoshoots in the future! We are so happy we found him. Best wedding photos!
We are incredibly happy to have chosen Steven as our wedding photographer! We booked Steven’s elopement package just a few weeks before our wedding, and he was very communicative and quick to reply, which was great because we did everything last minute. Steven’s prices are very reasonable for NYC, and his photographs are absolutely beautiful! We only had about an hour to take photos, and he did a great job getting all the family photos, couple portraits, and even some candids. He is particularly talented at portrait photography, and he really knows how to work with the space (we got married at the Merchant’s House, and he framed us superbly against the backdrop). He took his time setting us up in exactly the right position, and the photos are very artistic and well-composed. We’re super happy with his service, and we would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants unique and beautiful wedding photos.

Great Experience!
Steven Rosen Photography did a phenomenal job with our engagement photos! We were running late due to some unexpected circumstances and he still accommodated us and made sure we were happy with the shots and that we got exactly what we wanted. There was some inclement weather and he even had umbrellas ready for us. We had a zoom meeting to go over what we wanted for our shoot prior to signing the contract and he remembered everything we discussed even though it was months prior. We were coming from out of state and had discussed everything down to suggested outfits and colors so that we would be coordinated and perfect for the time of day and location of the shoot. Another thing I absolutely loved is that he is super easy to get in contact with and replies super fast to emails and messages. Steven and his assistant Allan were such a pleasure to work with.
My fiancé and I are so pleased with the photographs, we're already talking about future photoshoots we could do with Steven! He made this entire process so much easier for us and would recommend him to anyone looking to capture their precious memories.

Steven is all you could ask for. Excellent communication, planning, execution, and timely delivery of wonderful photos. He helped make the best of some difficult conditions, including cold weather, physical limitations for myself, and a challenging (home) setup to photograph in. He nonetheless adapted to each challenge and came up with some great ideas for photos throughout the event. He made every step an easy one. We were so lucky to have found Steven, who outperformed what we had in mind for the photos! We wanted a couple of shoots at the Pebble Beach, where we would hold the ceremony (just us and the officiant); he took us to additional spots in the area, catching opportunities of great lighting, and guided us through poses. We had a great time during our photoshoot with Steven - he’s extremely talented, and a very lovely person to have spent time with! He sent us the previews very quickly. Steven was such a joy to work with since the time we decided to hire him for our engagement photos, he took the time to discuss our needs over a phone call and make sure we understood the constraints should there be rain and he assured us that he can make any weather work! Steven is amazing! We had a small fall wedding ceremony in Central Park and chose to work with him based on his online reviews and his experiences with photography in the park and were not disappointed! He was proactive in reaching out to us to coordinate leading up to the event to make sure all the details were in order. During the ceremony he was kind, professional and flexible with requests for specific photos (we had traditional cultural elements with requests for specific types of pictures which he went above and beyond to make sure he got). I cannot thank him enough. He is an exceptionally unique personality with such a great heart. Gem of a person. I cannot imagine how easygoing he is and to work with. Beautiful Photos, Extremely Organized, Pleasure to Work With
We absolutely recommend Steven Rosen as a wedding photographer. He takes beautiful pictures and it was such a pleasure working with him - from start to finish he is truly a professional.
Prior to our wedding Steven was extremely prompt in responding to emails and phone calls - he answered all of our questions and was very communicative and easy to work with. His package structure also works really well - incorporating an engagement / couples session allowed us all to meet, get to know each other and get comfortable in front of the camera prior to the wedding day. That made taking photos the day of the wedding more relaxed and a lot of fun since we had all met each other prior to the wedding day.
The day of the wedding Steven really goes above and beyond. He is extremely organized and knows exactly what needs to be done. Keeping track of all the photos that need to be taken and staying on schedule is really difficult on the day of your wedding. Steven's organization and attention to detail took so much pressure off myself and my husband on the day of our wedding which was such a huge relief.
Lastly - Steven takes really beautiful photos. He is very serious about choosing the best places to take photos and it really shows in the photos he takes and moments he captures. We can't recommend him highly enough!

I planned my entire wedding in less than a year so this resulted in lack of time to properly research my vendors. I pretty much hand picked Steven Rosen out of a hat. Steven was an excellent photographer for our post wedding couples session in NYC. Living here for years, we had several locations picked out & knew that the schedule was going to be challenging. The perfect photographer, the perfect shoot, the perfect pictures.
Steven is a visionary photographer. We had no real concept of what we wanted for our wedding photos, and steven, inspired by the design of my dress, scouted and curated a series of locations and shots that were perfectly tailored to our wedding style and put personal aesthetic. Not only was the shoot day an absolute joy, but the turnaround time was unfathomably quick... we’re still in awe of the photos we received (and STILL haven’t been able to choose a favorite). No one could have captured the spirit of our wedding, and of us as a couple, so ideally. I simply cannot say enough about steven’s artistry, skill, professionalism and superlative eye.

Steven was a professional and put myself and my husband at ease from the minute we met.
He listened to our comments and thoughts about the types of photos we liked and didn't like. As well as listened and assisted us in getting as many photos of all our guests during the ceremony & reception.
Steven found some of the best spots for us to take our engagement photo's, as well as looking for some fun and unusual places for our wedding photos.
He put our guest at ease, as he wandered through the crowd to take photos the entire day of our ceremony. Staying way longer than we had anticipated he would, but capturing every moment.

Great experience on our wedding day!
Highly recommended wedding photographer! Steven was punctual, professional and a great photographer to work with. From the moment we spoke to him on the phone, we knew that he would be fantastic as he sounded so knowledgeable about the whole process of elopement, what to expect on the day and wanted to know what we prefer.
On the day of our wedding, Steven and his assistant Mike worked tirelessly under the heat of summer. Steven found amazing locations and all the photos turned out beautiful. We really enjoyed working with Steven as he made us feel calm, comfortable and his composition is just wow.

Everything perfect
Steven did an amazing job with us. He is calm, patient and very very professional. He guided us sto ep by step through the process. He set up a perfect agenda for the big day and he dealt with all the organizational matters. The final result is absolutely stunning. We have a wonderful gallery with a perfect balance between artistic and spontaneous photos.
We organize everything from Italy. via Skype and mail, thanks to his very efficient communication.

Amazing artistic photography
Steven Rosen is a truly amazing photographer. When my daughter was making plans for her wedding, I insisted on finding a really, really good photographer. We chose Steven Rosen because when we saw his photo journal, we immediately recognized his amazing artistry. And we were right! In the end, he even surpassed our expectations - even going the extra mile to take photographs during a flash snowstorm. He produced photographs that really do take your breath away. Top Notch - Can’t Go Wrong
Steven Rosen is much more than a wedding photographer. He is hands down an exceptional artist and I am so happy to have found him!!! His photographs of my wedding are spectacular. They go far past the chronicling of the event—some wonderfully reminiscent of a glimpse into a secret garden and some a skilled mixture of light and shadow to evoke quiet, personal beauty and charm. They are truly amazing. Seriously, every single person who has seen them has been blown away by the way his photographs transform each snap of the camera into what seems like a private moment between us two newlyweds in a uniquely beautiful and spectacular way. We also were not the most organized people and not only was he very accommodating, but we were well served by letting him use his judgment to do what needs to be done. He knows what he’s doing and you will not go wrong by trusting him to take initiative and ensure you get the best possible photos. I recommend Steven Rosen very, very highly.

Amazing work!
We were so happy we chose Steven to be our photographer for our city hall wedding in New York. In fact, we’re not sure how we would’ve gotten thru the day without him! Not only did our photos come out beautiful, but Steven's knowledge and experience with the overall process at the marriage bureau was incredibly helpful.

Simply Amazing
We eloped to New York from the UK, and Steven made every single process simple and easy. It was such a pleasure meeting him and having him share our special day. The photographs turned out amazing, and we had digital copies within a few days. Would recommend Steven to anyone, he made us feel so comfortable and helped us navigate around New York and Brooklyn. He has photographed so many weddings at the City Clerks office and he knew the process like the back of his hand, it took the pressure off to just follow him around for a few hours and enjoy ourselves.

An Impeccable Job
From the very start to finish Steven did an amazing job. Our first call (at which point we had not yet agreed to work together) lasted for over an hour where we got to know each other and I could talk at length about what me and my husband were looking for. Steven was very patient and helped filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge about wedding photography and the overall process! We had numerous meetings and calls after agreeing to work together and while Steven is obviously high in demand, he would always respond promptly and with full attention.
Our engagement shoot was so much fun with Steven there and he really helped to get the most out of us when posing for shots. He also was very flexible on the date we ultimately chose, so that we could get the best weather for the season (we did this shoot in the fall in Prospect Park where Steven knew all the best spots). Prior to the wedding, Steven put together a slideshow for us, using our engagement photos and childhood pictures that we sent over, and did a great job - we got a lot of compliments from our wedding guests.
On the wedding day, one of the few things we knew we could depend on was Steven. He helped to keep us on track with our timings, was a great presence (we felt like he was our confidante, which can be really important in what can easily be a high-stress day), and he and his assistant (also a very nice and talented photographer) did an amazing job with our photos. That is ultimately the most important requirement of a wedding photographer and I want to emphasize that Steven did an incredible job.
Lastly, our wedding albums was a very iterative process. We sent back numerous edits and Steven worked diligently to incorporate everything we wanted to make our albums a fantastic memento. As a side note, we were very happy with the quality of the wedding album itself. It is very good quality, and that is even with us opting to go for the more affordable option.
In sum me and my husband 100%, wholeheartedly recommend Steven.

Steven Rosen is a marvelous photographer!
He took two very reluctant subjects who were indulging their families’ request for pictures, and through his charm, professionalism, and talent achieved the near impossible—putting them at ease and getting some great shots.
Starting with our requested formal studio portrait session, Steven was able to turn it into so much more. Using the fabulous Brooklyn Bridge Park, which Steven makes an extension of his Brooklyn Heights studio, he produced a series of relaxed informal photographs to accompany the equally accomplished studio studies. He made incredible use of light, color, and composition in a way that raises his work to the highest level.
The one problem with Steven’s work was the difficulty of limiting our selections from the scores of wonderful images he’d captured.
We could not recommend him more highly.

Steven's the one - don't look elsewhere!
Steven is truly sensational.
If you're looking for someone to take photos of your special day, he's the one.
We traveled from NZ to have our wedding in NYC and so finding the right photographer to capture this occasion was important to us. Steven made every wish come true, ensuring all our needs were met with the locations we wanted to shoot at - of which, we had collaborated to form a long list!
The day went without a glitch - it was so much fun. Steven even had a weather app on his phone which supported us with when the rain was coming/going and where we should go to next as a result.
Our photos are still the talk of family and friends and the memories of the day we spent with Steven will last forever.
He really goes above and beyond - his incredible eye for detail, warmth and dedication to making sure we were happy with our special day were truly appreciated. Not to mention, we received some of our photos the day after - what service!
Thank you Steven, we're forever grateful for your commitment before, during and after our special day.

Focused, dramatic locales, great light
Steven was very professional, organized, punctual, knew great places for shoots, was receptive to new places to shoot, and knew all the ins and outs of our wedding venue - all on a fairly warm day in the middle of winter, so his patience was pretty good too. His shots turned out great and we always get compliments on them.

We eloped to NYC from
N Ireland in October 2018 and Steven was our wedding photographer. Love Steve Rosen! I must have researched at least 50 photographers for a destination wedding. I knew he was the one after I kept showing his images to my friends and family. I could not believe the drama, color and composition he captured in his photography. We worked strictly by phone and email up until the First Look session. He listened carefully, and was very good at communicating to us everything about the sessions such as what to expect and how to plan. After we finally met, I realized how professional, expert and especially how much fun he was to work with as well. His work is amazing. I knew the photography was the most important piece of our wedding experience to me. Choosing him to capture our first look and wedding was absolutely the very best decision I made throughout the process. Our images are amazing! He made our venue look positively ethereal. We received our album recently and it is very beautiful and very elegant. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Experience

He saved our photoshot from a stormy day!
It was great pleasure to work with Steven. Even better than expected! We had fun working with him: he is serious and very professional, with a long experience on weddings. He had great ideas, but was always open to our suggestions. He SAVED our photoshot! On our wedding day the weather expected was awful. It was him who offered to do the photoshot on the previous (sunny and dry) day. We were so lucky to have him! We are now delighted with our pictures.

Our wedding photographer had a last minute emergency and connected us with Steven to take his place, and Steven stepped in like a champ. He took time to meet with us prior to our event in order to get to know us and understand our needs. Steven provided photography at key events of our wedding - marriage bureau in Manhattan, waterfront photos in Brooklyn, and at our reception event in Manhattan. Steven was the photographer for our elopement; he helped make our day incredible and also coached us along the way because we had no idea how to plan a wedding in six weeks. On the day of, everything was running a little late, but Steven was flexible and stayed longer than he was scheduled to to make sure we got all the shots we wanted.
