"Your band was AMAZING" - all our guests

Here is what I emailed Jon the day after our wedding: Jon! We just took a moment from the whirlwind of the weekend and wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you and the entire band! You guys absolutely crushed it. We had so many people tell us, both during the wedding and after, that the band was absolutely amazing and the best wedding band they'd ever seen, You understood our vibe and ran with it - from the Fireball moment to the Jonas Brothers song when you let my cousin take the mic, which by the way, I think made her entire day. I think I missed this but you also played "Better Together" by Jack Johnson which is the wedding song for Tim's best man Mike and his wife, whose 1 year anniversary it was, which was so perfect. And playing "Sunflower" when I got back from changing into my second dress was also really meaningful and gave us an impromptu "second first dance". Not sure if you caught it during the ceremony but the "Into the Spiderverse" movie features this song and that was the movie we watched with our friends the first night we met. So very special to us!

We are so so happy with how everything went. We are exhausted from dancing but in the best way. Even Tim's 94 year old grandma said, "I've been to a LOT of weddings, but yours was the best." THANK YOU!!!

Truly such an amazing experience. We're so glad we went with Jon and Sterling and highly recommend!

Absolutely Outstanding Band!!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better live band for our wedding. From the very first song, they brought an incredible energy that kept the dance floor full all night long. Their range of music was truly exceptional and every song felt perfectly timed for the flow of the evening.

So many of our friends and family commented on how amazing the band was. They didn’t just provide music; they created an unforgettable atmosphere and were a huge part of what made our wedding so special. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!!

Awesome Wedding Band

Jon and his band were simply awesome. So many people came up to us both at the wedding and afterwards to say how much they loved the band. Jon was flexible and worked within our budget and style. He was also able to do our hebrew/jewish music perfectly which was a big bonus. I give Sterling a huge recommendation!

BEST wedding band!

My husband and I chose Sterling Band for our November 2024 Orthodox Jewish Wedding. They perfectly executed Israeli music with contemporary/modern songs. Jon was so flexible to work with as we formulated a spreadsheet of songs to our liking. Overall, they did not disappoint! We still get compliments a month later of how lively and fun our wedding was. Our hoorah will go down in history!! Thank you for making our wedding so memorable for us and our guests.

Highly recommend!

Sterling Band was terrific! We knew we wanted a long and energetic hora and the band fully delivered and brought everyone onto the dance floor. Jon was wonderful to work with, patiently walking us through all of the details to ensure that our wedding day ran smoothly. They have an extensive repertoire of American standards, rock, pop, etc - both current and older - as well as Jewish and Hebrew music, and they also accommodated our requested songs for the procession, two of which were new to them. If you are doing a lot of Hebrew songs with lyrics (like we did), Jon has a good list of simcha singers that he knows and has played with, that you can hire for lead vocals for Hebrew. We chose Cantor Chaim Berson, who was also fantastic for us, and he and the band worked together seamlessly. Jon and the band were great and we received so many compliments on the music and performances. Highly recommend!

Wedding Review

Sterling was great to work with- Jon was very responsive to our requests, and did a great job with different genres of music. They were definitely more comfortable with American and English-language music than with Hebrew music (of which we requested a lot), but they did a good job across the board and were a pleasure to work with.

Superior Service and Music

Absolutely top notch musicians at an unbelievable price. Jon and his team are exceptional artists. My guests were constantly complimenting how amazing the wedding was due to the music.

They are a very flexible band and able to learn new songs. Their singing and musical instruments are extremely high level and professional. They sound like professional singers who have 20+ years of experience. My guests have very high standards, especially given NYC, and Sterling Events surpassed all of them.

Would highly recommend for weddings and corporate events, and will be hiring Jon and the crew again next time. Well done.

Danced the Night Away!

Jon and Sterling Band made our wedding even better than we expected. We originally thought about a DJ but my husband Joey was really hoping we could have a live band. With the recommendation of our awesome Wedding planner Jesse Reing, we engaged Jon and the band for our evening. The band was incredible and is still being talked about from our guests. The range of music and the talent for the price we paid is true value. The band took our selections and carefully mapped out an evening of celebration and lots of dancing. I can't say enough about Jon and Sterling Band! We highly recommend! Brian and Joey.

Best weekend of our lives thanks to Sterling

I go off vibes and I knew we had something special with Sterling. Jon took a lot of time to get to know us and our guests ahead of time and understand what would set the tone for one big party. The band is so talented and Sterling was a big hit with our guests. We can’t thank them enough.

Hire sterling band!

We got SO MANY compliments about Sterling Band on our wedding night - they had such great energy and are incredibly skilled performers, keeping our dance floor PACKED all night! They performed oldies, top 40s, hip hop / rap - we were all so impressed. Jon is such a loving soul who REALLY cares about his clients - he worked closely with me/my husband leading up to the big day to make sure everything was in order and carefully curated high-energy dance sets to keep the room pumping. He also was just genuinely excited to make sure we had a good time (we were a COVID delayed wedding for 3 years!) and he was even texting me about the weather the week leading up to the wedding to send positive vibes. Jon's not only a great band leader, but will become a friend!

The band everyone is still talking about

Sterling band was the best money we spent on our wedding day. It was a wonderful experience working with Jon on all the coordination and their team was absolutely amazing. From the acoustic ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and 8 piece band for the reception they brought endless energy and talent. Guests still rave about the band; they were a highlight of our wedding! The most remarkable thing about them is the variety of their setlist and how they can alternate between genres and styles seamlessly. That was something important to us in a band and they delivered above and beyond.

Jon and the Sterling Band were absolutely amazing. They rocked the crowd at our wedding for the whole night—start to finish—and accommodated all our special requests. They covered all genres, from New Orleans brass band to hip hop to classic rock to traditional Jewish music. My wife and I are observant Jews and a great hora was very important to us. Oh man did Sterling Band deliver! They gave us 30 full minutes of pure joy, easily the best we’ve ever been part of. They knew every song we asked for. They ruled at the chuppah (ceremony), ruled at slow dances, ruled at the dance party. It was so much better than we could have even hoped for. Do yourselves a favor and hire them!!

Highlight of our wedding!

Hire this band, it’s as simple as that. We were lucky enough to have them play our wedding in October in the Catskills, and they exceeded expectations. They were easily one of the biggest highlights on one of the most important days of our lives. Their immense talent combined with their understanding the exact vibe we wanted to achieve truly blew us away. They kept the energy high while covering every single one of the wide variety of genres we requested. Every time we see our guests after the wedding, the first thing they bring up is the band. Great music, the band kept the party going for hours!

The Sterling Band kept the energy going for the entirety of the party, seamlessly moving from rock, to rap, to pop, to reggaeton. My wife and I are Jewish, and I am from Italy, so the band created a medley between the Hora and a tarantella for us, merging our backgrounds. Moreover, the Sterling Band was very approachable and easy to get in contact with and extremely flexible in accommodating all our requests! All our guests loved the music at our wedding. Will definitely recommend to friends and acquaintances for their wedding/celebrations!

literally the best band ever

Jon and his band are truly THE BEST!!!! guests still raving about how incredible our band and the music was. The dance floor was packed the entire evening! Jon helped my dad pull off a surprise first dance song that he wrote for me, and Jon even surprised me with singing the song I wanted walking down the aisle! The best wedding band EVER

The Sterling Band was simply the best wedding band ever! We had unexpected rain mid ceremony so cocktail hour was logistically hectic. From the moment guests stepped inside they completely forgot about the rain because of the vibes the band created. The reception was ELECTRIC. The band and lead singers brought serious energy and loved interacting with the crowd. Everyone danced from friends to family. My youngest cousin & my grandma never hit the dance floor and were dancing the night away. Everyone raved about this band and said they were the best they’ve ever heard and I couldn’t agree more!

On a planning side- we worked with Jon closely on our first dance, honor dances and other logistics and really appreciated his experience regarding timing of moments/events since it was our first time getting married. Jon celebrated every idea we had. Some moments were really unique and he made sure to ask all the right questions so it went off without a hitch. Any song we wanted he reassured us that the band would be happy to learn - they love switching up their list and learning something new!

I really couldn’t recommend this group enough. The word professional doesn’t even begin to cover this band. They are worth every single penny and then some. Save in other categories and spend here since this is what guests will enjoy and remember most from your event. If you hire them you are guaranteed an amazing time!

Perfection

What an amazing evening! Sterling Band was everything we expected and more. They were super responsive and worked closely with us to plan the perfect evening. The variety of genres they play covered all the bases. So many guests asked us how we found them and had nothing but high praises. Rocked the night away! Purely Amazing!

I canNOT express how wonderful our night was with Jon and the Sterling Band members! Each and every artist brought their own talents to make for an unforgettable experience. All of our guests were raving about the night and the song choices. Jon really knew what we wanted after giving him only about 75 songs we liked. He also hired electric violinists to start out the cocktail reception! I loved every single minute and now am just wondering when I can throw another party with this team!?! Simply the best!

If you're considering a band for your wedding, the Sterling Band is it! We hired them for our wedding in December 2021 and would do it 100x over again. They delivered! We had a few friends admit they were skeptical of seeing a band at a wedding after DJs have become so popular over the last few decades but were blown away by their performance and want to book them for their upcoming receptions. Jon was so flexible and easy to work with. His experience is unmatched, and the advice he provided throughout the planning process and on our wedding day was invaluable. For example, our venue had some logistical difficulties to work around with sounds equipment and they made it work! I know bands can get pricy, but we ultimately decided to upgrade to 9 musicians, and it was worth every penny. Jon had my dad with the band singing Tower of Power, had me singing Aretha Franklin, and switched it up with 2000's hip hop, 90's rock, 80's music, classic rock.. you name it. They were so interactive with our friends and family, passing the mic off for people to sing. Could not recommend more!

A night we will never forget!

Jon and the Sterling Band were an absolute pleasure to work with! We originally met Jon at one of our family friends' weddings and when we experienced the energy that his band brought to the party we knew this is what we wanted for our big day!

Upon meeting Jon, we were immediately drawn to his enthusiasm and professionalism. Jon has a passion for making every couple's wedding party unforgettable and special and he made us feel more excited and confident after every conversation we had with him. Jon invests his time to get to know his couples so that he can deliver an amazing experience. Throughout our planning process, we met with Jon several times to discuss with him what our ideal party looks like. From music and lighting to audio/visual and the timeline of the day, Jon made sure that all details were covered.

Jon spoke with our venue coordinator to make sure that all of the moving parts were in place the day of. We had such peace of mind working with Jon knowing that everything was going to run smoothly. He truly was a band leader who doubled as a day of wedding timeline coordinator! We got married on a golf course that required additional audio/speakers for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He provided us with ALL of this. We literally did not have to worry about one thing in terms of audio and music for the ceremony/cocktail hour and reception.

Each member of the Sterling Band is incredibly talented. With Jon’s years of experience he knows how to read a crowd and get everyone on the dance floor. Till this day so many of our family and friends tell us how amazing our wedding was.

Incredible band!

Jon and his band were one of the highlights for our late September 2021 wedding. Jon worked with us every step of the way throughout the planning process and on the day-of really helped to get the party going. Every band member is so incredibly talented and they truly delivered - from the strings for our ceremony to the singers, guitarists, brass and percussion for the cocktail hour and dinner reception. We had high expectations based on their recordings and they sounded even better in person.

They not only have one of the largest and varied repertoires out there, but they are also willing to learn new songs just for your event. We requested two songs (one in Mandarin and one in Cantonese) and our guests were amazed when they realized it was not a recording. If you're a true music lover and want your wedding to be remembered, we highly recommend the Sterling Band.

The band you’re looking for

It was really important for my (now) wife and I to hang a fun band that could play a variety of styles, including funk, r&b, classic rock; all mixed with modern pop. It’s a tall order. We interviewed a variety of bands, saw showcases, and watched tape. I knew after speaking with Jon that sterling was our band. They delivered. In spades.

We’re still getting compliments on the music. They got the party started and kept it going for five hours straight. Highly recommended.

Best band!

We just had Sterling Band perform at our wedding last weekend and we were blown away! They had the dance floor packed all night. So many of our guests came up to us raving about them. They had such great versatility, playing so many different types of music we wanted. Jon was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. He worked with us to put together a detailed schedule of the whole night so we knew exactly what to expect and even helped us adjust our venue’s dinner timing to optimize the flow of the night. The Sterling Band Truly Made my Wedding!!

The Sterling Band made my wedding truly unforgettable! They played at both my sisters weddings over the past 10 years and have made each event the most epic for us and our guests. We worked with Jon to curate an amazing mix of music, and ALL of our guests were on the dance floor for the entire night! The band really helped keep the reception moving smoothly, and were constantly shifting gears of music based on the vibe of the crowd! They came onto the dance floor and had us sing with them which everyone absolutely loved!! My friends and family raved about the band for weeks after my wedding and I can truly say my wedding would not have been what it was if not for the Sterling Band. You won’t find another band like them!!

Our Guests Didn't Want the Sterling Band to Stop

The Sterling Band is amazing! Jon was incredibly easy to work with and takes so much pride in what he does! He’s so incredibly enthusiastic and makes you feel like you’re the only wedding/party he’s working with. Having the Sterling Band at our wedding felt like going to a concert that was just for us! They learned our first dance song and multiple other requests for the evening. Our guests loved them and were chanting for one more song at the end of the night!

They rocked!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Jon and the band. We were among the many couples who had to postpone their wedding (twice!) due to the pandemic and are so appreciative of Jon and the band sticking with us through all of the craziness. It has been over a week since our wedding and our guests are STILL talking about how awesome the band was - and we are too! The only time we saw our guests sitting down was to eat - and when they were done they were right back up on the dance floor. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this band.

Amazing! Our guests raved about The Sterling Band!

We have nothing but incredible things to say about this band. They are not just talented, but were so effortless to work with. Jon made sure the night went as smoothly as possible. He read the room extremely well and knew when and what to play at all times. Our guests came up to us all night telling us how incredible the band was! But they were more than just a band. Jon made sure the party was nonstop, seamlessly transitioning from speech to speech, dance to dance, and even stayed aware of where the camera and videographer crews were to ensure they caught all the action. Jon & Band were awesome!

I found A Sterling Band randomly on a Blog. I met with 3 bands and they were my top choice by far. My husband and I met with Jon and the decision was easy after that. Then Covid hit and we were unsure of what we would do. Jon was understanding and flexible and we changed from an 8 piece band to a 4 piece band. Since our wedding turned into a dinner party it was great to have the band as entertainment. They were really so good that people were getting in trouble for getting out of their seats and dancing so people started dancing in their chairs! Our guests had great things to say about them. Also, they really did a great job of picking out music - I gave Jon the vibe we wanted and he ran with it! Thanks so much for helping make our day so great!!!

Best Wedding Band Ever!

Jon and his crew absolutely crushed their performance and made our wedding night perfect. From start to finish they rocked out and got everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor. We loved how they tailored the song selection and performance perfectly for each moment of the night.

Jon was very enthusiastic, reliable and easy to communicate with. Jon went above and beyond to ensure that everything was nothing short of spectacular.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Sterling Band to anyone who loves live music and wants a wedding to remember. I’ve already had multiple guests tell me they want to book them for their upcoming weddings!

The best band out there!!

Wow! A Sterling Band knows how to bring a rocking party! Originally we were nervous to go with a band that we weren’t able to see ahead of our wedding, but A Sterling Band came highly recommended by a close friend so we decided to book them. Choosing A Sterling Band was the best wedding decision we made! From our first interaction, Jon was extremely responsive and accommodating. He and the band leader, Keith, were always willing to jump on a call or meet in person. The most amazing thing about the band is their ability to play any genre. Each band member is extraordinarily talented so they were able to play all night without any breaks. Our dance floor was completely packed! We have received lots of inquiries from our wedding guests about the band; we even have friends who booked them for their upcoming wedding after seeing them at ours. We can’t wait to work with the band again in the future!

The amazing sterling band

Wow ! Thank-you Jon and Sterling Band!
We had our wedding recently w the Sterling Band and Sterling Events and from wall to wall and "cover-to cover" these guys and gals TOTALLY get what its like to have an unforgetable party.

We had a background where our wedding required dancing and celebratory music that was some Spanish (I have a Cuban and Puerto Rican background)some English and even a fair amount of what they call "leiberdich" Jewish music...

They blew away our expectations ,which were already high!
Their enthusiasm,skill and fun MADE the night one of those weddings our families will talk about for years.

The rocked ! From Sinatra-Luis Fonzi,Marc Anthony ,Celia Cruz, Blink 182, Spice Girls Beatles Biggie Kanye Whitney Travis Scott Black Keyes Beastie Boys, Sean Paul, Calvin Harris, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and Demi and Whitney...and a Long Simcha -Hora Dancethat was amazing mixing from Israeli pop into Marc Anthony !

We danced all night and even overtime while Band never lost an ounce of energy.
Their front line singers energy vibe and skill is amazing...and the Band sounds like the "record".

Also Jon in the office goes every distance to leave no stone unturned and goes to great lengths to make anything we wanted possible...WOW
My husband and I cannot recommend Sterling Band and Sterling Events enough!

Life Of The Party!

Jon and his team were top notch from start to finish. From the first meeting with Jon, he listened to our ideas and suggestions and was able to flawlessly play everything from The Beatles to Drake. There was no song we mentioned that they could not play. Jon and the bands enthusiasm, excitement and attention to detail made this process fun and painless. The band literally played our entire reception only taking breaks for speeches. Our guests were wowed by them and loved hearing a fun mix of old and new music. The dance floor was packed and rocking the entire night. Several friends have contacted us since our wedding to ask about A Sterling Band for their own events. If you want a rocking party hire this band! You will not be disappointed.

Amazing Wedding Band!

The Sterling Band is the best wedding band we've ever seen and we were so lucky to find them for our wedding. Jon worked with us every step of the way to make our wedding the best party possible. Hire the Sterling Band!

We loved having the Sterling Band at our wedding! These guys are insanely talented, can play virtually everything (have over 1,000 songs in their repertoire and will learn special requests if they don't already know a song), and have the crowd on its feet all night! They are the best decision we made during the wedding planning process.

Our guests have not stopped telling us how much fun they had at our wedding thanks to the Sterling Band. The most recurring comment we've gotten is that they "are the best wedding band I've ever seen. They don't even sound like a wedding band!" The Best Band

What is there to say that has not already been said in other reviews about Jon and this band? They were absolutely incredible. Our guests still talk to us about just how good the band was, certain songs they played, etc. We have heard from countless guests that this is "the best wedding band they have ever seen, bar none." The greatest evidence of the talent of Sterling was that some of these comments came after the first set, prior to dinner! There was a look of shock on our guests faces as they transitioned from our first dance song (which Sterling learned specifically for us) to a range of numbers that had the whole party on their feet.

To us, Jon was more than just a band we hired; he became a friend. From our first consultation, where Jon met us in NYC to discuss our wedding and vision, to hour-long phone conversations days prior to our wedding, he was a consummate professional.

The band plays such a wide repertoire of music that there is quite literally something for everyone. Each member brought an insane amount of technical ability, matched only by the energy they brought to our party.

We would definitely hire Jon and his team in the future.

Dance floor was packed!

Sterling was amazing!! We were referred to the band from a friend and they did not disappoint! Jon was incredibly easy to work with, he was always quick to respond and made sure to work in all of our requests throughout the reception. Unforgettable band

STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND BOOK A STERLING BAND RIGHT NOW!!! They are absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I found them by chance by googling best bands in NYC and I am sososososo happy that I did! My wedding was a nonstop party with a PACKED dance floor the entire time! I chose them because they promised VARIETY and boy did they deliver!!!! They played so many different songs- anything I asked for from rap to rock to country. They brought the house down!!! I would book them again and again. Jon was an absolute pleasure to work with. He came to our house and essentially performed for us in our living room. He has so much energy and passion for his work- its contagious!!! highlight of the night

The Sterling Band played at our wedding for 140 guests in July. The Sterling Band normally plays for larger weddings so we worried our guests wouldn't all be in to the band but boy were we wrong - literally our guests danced all night long thanks to Jon and his crew. Everyone was up dancing and when they played their last song for the night everyone started chanting for them to play one more song. Jon and the Sterling Band came highly recommended to us - but never meeting Jon before or hearing the band live we were nervous to book them. We did and face timed with Jon multiple times and he blew the night away. We guarantee they will be the highlight of your wedding and all your guests will be talking about how amazing they are. They play a fantastic variety of music that everyone loves. I didn't know this the night of the wedding but my friends later on told me they requested multiple songs and the band played literally every one. They were so impressed. A Sterling Band is worth every penny. We did soo much research into finding a band because live music was really important to us - and we are certain they were the best. We will certainly be hiring them again for family weddings in the future. If you are on the fence seriously look no further.

Able to play anything and everything.

The Sterling Band brought the house down. Every one of our guests was raving about them after our wedding.

Jon brings the energy to every interaction he has - you'll see what we mean when you meet him! He listens to what you're looking for and is open and honest about what they can bring to the table - which is EVERYTHING.

We ended up booking Sterling for a 2-piece instrumental for the ceremony (guitar + piano were gorgeous together), a 3-piece jazz trio for our cocktail hour (New Orleans Jazz - epic.), and a 9-piece band for our reception (which rocked, straight up).

We had a huge variety of music - from a Alannis in our 90's set to a traditional Jewish hora - and these guys nailed every genre. When the band took a quick break to eat (which is standard!) they left one person to sing acoustic, and it was perfect.

We can't recommend the Sterling Band enough!

The Best in Latin / American Rock + Pop

Our biggest wedding challenge was finding a band that could please a multi-generation-span of guests, keep them on the dance floor continuously all night long AND authentically deliver the Latin pop hits for a significant portion of the evening, due to the bride’s Puerto Rican heritage.

While a lot of bands made promises about their Latin music capabilities, their repertoire really just included the pop-crossovers that we hear on the radio today. But Jonathan and the NY Sterling band were the real deal. Jonathan has deep experience and tremendous musical knowledge in the Latin genre, and worked with us to secure some additional players that would allow the band to seamlessly transition from American to Latin style music, enjoyed by all. They mastered a few specific “must plays” in Spanish and English for our first dance, and the dance floor was LIT the whole night long, not just with the young guests or the Puerto Rican guests, but all were feeling the vibe and the joy of the event.

NY Sterling Band made our wedding- and delivered everything we could have hoped for and more. We’d highly recommend Jonathan and his players for any event!

Great Energy, Amazing Wedding

We booked Jon and A Sterling Band for our ~200 person NYC wedding after watching the online videos and meeting Jon in person. He made us feel at ease from the first meeting. Jon is a talented musician and a true professional- responsive and energetic with a vast amount of musical and event management knowledge. He gave us tips that delivered on filling the dance floor all night. The band was incredibly talented with an amazing range...they performed the latest songs (High Hopes, Better Now, Lite it Up-Major Lazer) as well as classics. We received compliments from friends and family members all evening. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour all the way past midnight...Jon and A Sterling Band delivered on our high expectations and made the night memorable for everyone. Couldn't have gone better!

Once again Jon and his crew exceeded all expectations. Desperately in need of last-minute lighting for our New Year's Eve Fundraiser, we gave Jon a call. Next thing we knew, not only did we have a room decorated with lights but also a 6-piece band! And that was just the beginning. We kicked off the New Year with a 2-hour, ultra-diverse, set. Fantastic job!

Sterling Band did an amazing job at our wedding! When it came to wedding planning, our top priority and concern was that the music would be fantastic and our guests pack the floor. When my wife and I first met Jon, we could tell by his enthusiasm that he and his band were going to bring that to the dance floor, and they totally nailed it. Our guests have been raving about the professional music quality and energy, by the end of the night our feet were killing us from all the dancing! The Sterling Band made our wedding everything we hoped for and more! Wedding planning can be stressful, and The Sterling Band made every part of the planning process exciting and easy. We were looking for a band that was able to play all types of music, and they understood exactly what we wanted. They were the only band that we spoke to (and we spoke to a lot!) who were able to discuss music with us, and really listened to what we liked and were able to deliver. Jon and his band were LEGENDARY! Being huge concert/rock people, we put Jon and his band through the ringer with certain song requests and boy did they come through!!! They made our setlist come alive and helped us produce the musical masterpiece that we had envisioned. Additionally, they learned any song that we requested and transformed our ceremony into the grand musical event that left the crowd wanting more!

Thanks to Sterling, our wedding reception was legit the best party ever. There was not a single moment when the dance floor wasn't packed. In fact, our only regret of the whole wedding is that the dance floor couldn't;'t have been larger! Jon is a great communicator and made us feel confident and comfortable from day 1. He understood our vibe and vision for the wedding and the band translated it perfectly. They read the crowd throughout the night and knew how to keep the party going all night long. This band is SO beyond talented, words cannot express how good of a party they created. Other than choosing to marry my husband, Sterling was the best decision I made for the wedding.

Jon and his band are the most talented group I have ever heard! Their variety in music is incredible and they will learn a song if they don't already know it! I had heard them play at two other weddings before my own and I knew that when it came time for my own wedding, I would book them immediately. The minute we met Jon, my and wife and I felt at ease that A Sterling Band would rock the house at our wedding. His energy and enthusiasm was off the charts. All of our expectations were completely blown away on the night of the big day. The band displayed high energy the entire evening, and our guests were up and dancing throughout the reception. I would 100% recommend A Sterling Band.

It's our third time using Sterling Events and they just keep on getting better and better. Last month for our daughter's wedding Jon brought the house down. Best party ever and best music and band.
We will never make an event with out Sterling Events!

We just finished up working with Jon and team for our wedding and it couldn't have been a better experience. From our first discussion to the final product. Sterling Events was the #1 driving force behind the party of a lifetime - our wedding. Jon Hanser collaborated with us (the bride and groom) for months before the party to make sure the set list was perfect, in terms of timing, logistics, and of course, song choices. The band was incredibly talented and dynamic. Our guests danced the night away and the compliments haven't stopped pouring in.

The Sterling Band was Amazing!!! We had an incredible time and they kept the energy up on the dance floor all night. They were also great at honoring any requests we had. Sterling Band was amazing. We were so happy that we booked them for our wedding. We have had several guests ask us for their information saying how amazing the dancing was during the reception. We even had some guests say they thought the music was recorded because it sounded so close to the original! Definitely don't hesitate to book for your event.

The Sterling Band was the highlight of my wedding! They kept the dance floor packed the whole time and my wife and I couldn’t have been happier with their talents and professionalism. Jon was a pleasure to work with. He helped us through the entire process and made everything smooth and easy. People are still talking about how it was the best wedding band they’d ever seen. There are no words to describe what an amazing experience we had with the Sterling Band leading up to our wedding and at the event itself. Jon is amazing. I spent more time talking to him on the phone than my own mother, and not because I was nagging, but because he was so thorough and invested in creating the most amazing event possible for us. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding the year before where the Sterling Band played, and I had such an amazing time dancing the night away, I knew that if I ever got married, they would be the band we'd call. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, traveling all the way from NYC to Lexington, KY, renting gear, staying in a hotel and took care of all the details and logistics to make that possible. Further, they recommended a different schedule of events than I'd originally planned, which truly made all the difference to our special night. And the music. They are the best wedding band you could ever hope for. They play everything, and if they don't know something, they'll learn it for you, as they did for our first dance. They are all trained Juliard musicians, so the quality of performance is a 10+. I have been told by every guest we had that they've never had such a good time or heard such a great, fun, and talented band play a wedding. I can't thank Jon and his crew enough for all they did that made our wedding so perfect. Hire these guys. It'll be the best decision you can make for your big day.

Hiring Jon and the Sterling Band was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process! They are by far the most talented, enthusiastic and dedicated group of performers we have ever come across- our guests quite literally did not sit down the entire evening! They have an enormous range of vocals, instruments, and accommodated any request we had. In addition to playing kick ass music that had everyone crowding the dance floor all night, they were instrumental in the organization and flow of our reception, which is something I think is often overlooked. Wedding party announcements, speeches, special dances, cake cutting, etc were all seamlessly orchestrated and the entire night had a perfect flow and balance until the very last song. They are an exceptional group of musicians and we could not have loved them more!! Thanks Jon!!

We just wanted to thank you for a perfect wedding! The Sterling Band was INCREDIBLE. We have gotten so many comments about the band - everyone is saying that it is the best band they have every heard at a wedding. The hora was rocking, the dancing was amazing, and you guys did not skip a beat. We are just overjoyed with how special the wedding was. We wanted everyone dancing the whole night through, and boy, did we get that!! From RnB to Hip Hop, from Classic Rock to EDM and Sinatra too!!

Lisa(the planner)also said you were wonderful to work with, so thank you for that, too. We knew we were in such good hands with you, and your help with the timeframe, with music ideas and with keeping the energy alive at 2:00 AM was nothing short of impressive!!

We feel so lucky to have had you as a huge and central part of our wedding. Everyone adored you guys. We are so sad it’s over, and we can’t wait to see you guys again at Adrienne and Noah’s wedding in December! Another chance to dance the night away!

Our wedding night was epic.... that is all I have to say. Your Sterling Band was absolutely incredible, made my wish come true with people on the dance floor all night long. Everyone was raving about you guys!! Phenomenal job and allowing my brother in for FireBall was awesome!! He sounded great, fit right in! :)

We used them for my son’s Bar Mitzvah. I had a small band during cocktail hour and a DJ and dancers for the party. They were professional and kept the party going. Everyone had a great time!

Jon and the folks at Sterling were awesome. We had such a blast and a big part of that was due to the energy the band provided. Soooo many people came up to us that night and in the weeks and months since our wedding complimenting Jon and the band and saying it was the best and most fun wedding dance party they'd been to!
Jon was very easy to work with leading up to the wedding. We worked closely with him on our desired Please Play and Do Not Play lists. He also learned our First Dance song to perfection, as well as another song to which our guests surprised us with a dance. The band also played an epic Horah that was above and beyond our expectations.

Wow!!! Once again, this band exceeded our expectations!! They played at two of our daughters' weddings and could not have been more amazing!! They not only played the greatest music, but also helped us time out speeches, dances, etc. throughout the night and were so incredibly helpful during the reception.

Thanks so much to this team for making our daughters' weddings so incredible and memorable. The dance floor was packed from the first songs to the lasts - we had to extend the performance times because the guests were having too much fun!! We are hearing from all of our guests that the Sterling Band was one of the best parts of the night and we've had many reach out to us for their info!

The Sterling band will surely be our first call when our youngest starts planning her wedding :)

Jon and the Sterling Band made my wedding. I STILL have guests raving to me about how they were the best band they've ever seen at any event ever. But as a bride, it isn't just that they're incredibly, insanely talented musicians with the stamina to rock out for hours, it's that Jon went above and beyond at every step he possibly could, made every moment all the more special if it was in his power to do so, and rose to every request I made and wrench I threw at him.
What is also uniquely special about this band is that EVERYONE loved them - my aunt who walks with a cane but was dancing the night away AND my friends who danced till 1am. Their expertise on what to play when was just so apparent throughout the night, and they really kept everyone happy and on the dance floor. I discovered Jon and Sterling Band at my cousin's wedding in Vermont and knew I had to have them play at my own wedding, even if that meant flying them to Napa. Everyone thought I was nuts to be flying in a band, but I seriously can't tell you how many people since the wedding have said that if they had an event they'd fly in Jon too now that they've heard him play. I've never seen a band be able to do the breadth of musical genres they do, and it's not like they're pretty good at a lot of things, they're truly amazing at every song they sang. I will never forget the moment at my wedding when we were all eating our entrees while the band was on a brief break, and so no one was paying attention to the stage and they came back on without anyone really noticing and out of nowhere the lead singer starts belting a ballad and you could literally hear everyone's forks hit their plates as they looked up in awe and then everyone started turning to each other mouthing "holy sh*t they're amazing." It was like an electric current went through the room. It was a truly magical moment, one of many during the night that Jon and the band created. I could not recommend using Sterling any more highly

I highly recommend Jon for any occasion. The music at my daughter's wedding was spectacular. It was held at the Caramoor Arts Center with 500+guests.The family of the groom is Columbian and insisted on authentic Latin music. Jon’s Sterling Band was amazing and everyone danced the entire evening. His Hebrew music is beautiful and needless to say his English music is great. The mixing of the three types of music was seamless.

This is the second wedding he has done for us and I plan on hiring him when my next daughter gets married. He also is wonderful to work with and helped with all the technical sound organization. The Sterling band was incredible. Absolutely incredible. Everyone had an absolute blast and our friends and family can't stop talking about how great the band was and how much fun they had because of them. Given that we were planning our wedding from across the country, we hadn't had a chance to see the Sterling Band play live before our wedding…, but we had a great feeling about Jon from the energy and enthusiasm (and song video samples from other weddings) he brought to our calls and the rave reviews we had heard from his referrals.

They totally knocked it out of the park, and we couldn't have been happier. Jon and his group got the crowd moving from the get-go and kept the dance floor rocking throughout the night to a wide variety of songs from across the decades. They even learned a few ethnic songs (Greek and Romanian) especially for us!

We could tell the band was also having a great time, which showed through loud and clear in the energy level of the music, and was completely contagious. We couldn't have imagined a better party to celebrate our marriage. Now we're just hoping that one of the many, many guests who were raving about the band will book Sterling Band for their own event, so that we get to enjoy them for a second time! (Note: While we may be biased, 2 1/2 years and a full friends' wedding circuit later, they're still the best wedding band we've experienced!)

Danced All Night Long

We are so happy we chose Sterling Events for our wedding band! Jon and his band kept our 200 guests dancing all night long and wanting more after the last song. They played a variety of music, from Springsteen to top 40, and rocked every song. Sterling read the room and kept the party going! They exceeded our expectations, and had our guests raving about them even after the wedding. We highly recommend Sterling Events, and could not be happier with their performance! Our wedding was a blast, thanks to Jon and his band!

Jon Hanser and the Sterling Band put on an awesome gig for our wedding. They had great flexibility in playing our broad range of preferred songs ranging from funk to the Allman Brothers. They even learned a new song that my niece had written and had her sit in with them to sing it for ur dance. Their musicianship was impeccable and showmanship were excellent without distracting from the wedding. The dance floor was full all night! Great job, Jon and all.
