  Stephen was an excellent choice for our wedding day photography. His professional - yet laid-back - approach to capturing special moments makes him one of the best photographers to work with.
  
  If you are looking for over-saturated post-production, look elsewhere. Stephen's photos are not glossed over in fake, high contrast lighting and HDR. Instead, Stephen relies on natural lighting and instinctive positioning to make his photos feel intimate and authentic, without sacrificing any artistic integrity.
  
  For portrait shots, he will work behind the lens with the subject in finding the best possible framing, lighting and arrangement in a way that does not feel awkward or intimidating. For candid shots, his journalistic approach makes the photos feel fresh and energetic - as we flipped through our reception party photos, we could almost feel the atmosphere of the room lift out of the photos. Stephen doesn't just capture the facts - he captures the emotion and feeling of person and place.
  
  Stephen also recognizes the ancestral value of photography, and his awareness of family heritage, legacy and tradition is evident. Thus, his photography retains a distinct timeless quality rarely found elsewhere... if you want your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren to look at your photos and "feel" what they captured - Stephen has the talent to provide that for you.

  Planning a wedding is stressful; especially if you are a perfectionist and obsessed with detail-like me. The ONLY aspect of our wedding I was completely confident in was Stephen. I looked through countless photography portfolios and Stephen's was the only one that captured not only all the best, classic shots you want for a lifetime, but also he captures moments and details throughout your special day that will take you right back in time. He is a true artist. He is also very relaxed and comfortable to be around -which shows in the pictures. He is a true professional. The only problem I am having is narrowing down the amount of pictures I want printed-there are so many fantastic shots to choose from! His website and portfolio speak for themselves and trust me when I say, he is genuine when he tells you he won't be satisfied with his services until YOU are satisfied. From first contact to engagement shots to the wedding day and after, Stephen has been a joy to work with; and the pictures he takes are even better. Aside from your marriage license, pictures are the most important part of your wedding day to take with you- Don't pass Stephen by!

  Not only did Stephen take gorgeous pictures that captured our day perfectly, he was also extremely easy to work with! Me and my husband were a little nervous prior to taking our pictures, but Stephen made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. I was also very impressed with the stunning quality of the wedding pictures we got back. I feel very fortunate to have his pictures to help us remember our wedding day for many years to come! He was able to capture every little detail and every special moment you could possibly want. Stephen is everything you could want in a wedding photographer and I give him my highest recommendation!

  Stephen was an absolute delight to work with! We wanted our photos to capture our personalities without too much formality and we wanted to capture great candid memories during our ceremony and reception. Stephen went above and beyond and completely hit the nail on the head. Stephen has such a wonderful eye for picking up the small details that would probably go unnoticed and has such a beautiful perspective in all of his photos. Stephen is EXTREMELY easy to work with and was almost invisible during the festivities but when we saw the finished product we realize he was in all the most important places. We both keep looking at our wedding photos and are so glad that we found him!!!!!

  Choosing the right photographer was one of the most important aspects of our wedding and Stephen was the best guy for the job! He responded quickly to any questions I had, was super easy to work with, was very patient, listened to any ideas or concerns we had, and truly made our day perfect! He captured so many amazing moments that we never would have seen. He made everyone feel comfortable and is extremely fun to be around. He was one the best decisions that we made for our wedding and we look forward to working with him again!

  For our wedding we had some high expectations for the photographer. We wanted the photographer to spend the whole day with us. And by whole day we mean 7:30am – 11:00pm. We had a 5k race the morning of our wedding and of course we needed photos of the event and then there was the getting ready, ceremony and reception. Stephen was not only willing to cater to our wishes but excited to be involved. We also loved the engagement photo time to get to know Stephen and have photos for the events around the wedding. Stephens photography was excellent, affordable and he was a delight to work with. We would definitely recommend him for your wedding or event!

  We really enjoyed working with Stephen! We moved our wedding date up and he was so flexible with us. The day of the wedding he was a calming presence and moved about quietly to get great pictures! He is professional and thoughtful. We love our pictures! We made it a family affair and had his wife, Amanda, do our flowers. It was such a great experience working with the Jerkins!

  Stephen captured our day perfectly. He made sure to know all the basic shots we wanted plus the special ones beforehand & nailed them all (amazing photo of everyone in attendance on the front steps of the church? Check!). More importantly, Stephen's laid back demeanor was really comforting on such a stressful day! He really got my hubby and I to be as relaxed as two people as uptight as us could be! :-) He did whatever it took to get a great shot, be it climbing up in a bamboo thicket or standing on a wobbly bridge railing! We will cherish the photos he took for the rest of our lives!

  Stephen was our wedding photographer and also did our engagement photos. He was very professional and repsonsive and an all-around nice guy. He made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. He got the pictures to us quickly and they turned out great! I highly recommend Stephen!

Stephen is quick at responding to any phone calls or emails and is always willing to answer any questions you may have. He also has a great turnaround time for getting your photos back to you. Our engagement and wedding photos were wonderful! They were everything we hoped for!!! Stephen takes time to preserve his own family history, so you know he wants to give you beautiful photos that your family will be looking at years from now.   I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephen Jerkins Photography! It all started with our Engagement Session and Stephen was super amazing with us - this was the first time my husband and I had ever gotten professional photos made! The engagement shoot was included in the package, and we even hit three locations with a wardrobe change between two of them! The photos are amazing and he really did make us feel at ease - it was like we were just out and about with a friend! On the wedding day he met my maids and I at the hair salon at 8 am and then went to our venue to photograph the end of the set up as well as the picnic lunch my family was having. From there he shot the groomsmen and groom and then my mom, maids, and I getting ready. After that it was time for the ceremony and his wonderful wife got her camera out and we had two shooters! It was awesome because he could shoot the guests arriving and the ceremony site, and Amanda (his wife) shot us getting ready to go down and finishing up putting my veil on. After the ceremony there were a TON of family photos and he stayed patient with my crazy family in the heat, something I cannot thank him enough for! We didn't do a first look so after family we did our photos together and then we headed up for the reception which was photographed from beginning to end!
  
  I write all this to tell you, future bride, that he was with us from 8 am until 11 pm without complaint documenting the whole day. All of our photographs (over 1200!) are amazing and I cannot imagine having used anyone else. Stephen and Amanda were both super helpful, very easygoing, and just plain fabulous! Stephen Jerkins Photography is amazing and the quality of photograph and service cannot be matched. I can't wait to have another occasion to need a photographer because I will definitely book again!

  From start to finish, working with Stephen for our photos was a great experience. We had a different photographer double-book our wedding day, and we found out only a day before our scheduled engagement shoot. We contacted Stephen and had a new engagement shoot booked in no time, which kept us on schedule. And they were WONDERFUL! For our wedding, we seriously could not have been happier. Things were hectic, but he was calm! Got us where we needed to be in plenty of time, and capture the evening perfectly. We were outdoors, and the wedding went from daytime into night, and he all of the lightly extremes with ease. Our photos are fit for any fancy wedding blog site! In addition, we received them back SO QUICKLY! We are beyond pleased in every way. (And, while you're at it, you should also hire his wife Amanda Jerkins for your flowers, because OH MY GOSH, ours were stunning!)

  We had the best experience working with Stephen! He not only captured amazing moments, but also the "feel" of the night. Meaning, when I look through our pictures I'm left with the same feeling I was hoping our wedding guests would leave with. He was a calm presence during a very exciting and overwhelming experience. Having been in many weddings before I was the bride made me appreciate that calm style even more. We were also pleasantly surprised with how quickly we received the pictures! Neither of our grandmothers were able to make the trip to Nashville so we were extremely blessed to be able to share pictures with them so soon after the wedding.

  Stephen was incredibly easy to work with, which is KEY when you're stressed and planning a wedding...He took absolutely beautiful pictures for me and my husband from our engagement photo's to our wedding day. We were pleased to the point that it's impossible to choose what to frame! Also, his presentation of the photo's post wedding is lovely and very unique. I feel as if the prices were reasonable for the work he does. Lastly, I'll say what my mother said after the wedding when talking about Stephen...she said, "Stephen was like a ninja-he was everywhere but you never saw him!" Super good job at blending in and capturing all the best moments.

  Stephen was AWESOME!!!! My husband and I had an outdoor morning wedding on August 18 and we couldn't have had a better photographer! He was even wiling and excited about doing sunrise photos....yes, sunrise! He was at the venue around 5am...what a trooper!! We had a blast letting him take pictures of us. We felt so comfortable in front of the camera with him, plus he made us laugh pretty much the entire time! When we got our pictures back, I was extremely impressed with all of the detailed photos and photos of people hanging out at our wedding! Oh, and we didn't have to wait forever for our pictures (yep, I've known people that have waited 4 years for their wedding pictures!). We had our pictures in our hands in such a short amount of time! Stephen is definitely going to be my go-to photographer from here on out!

  Stephen and Amanda are amazing. I had a bridesmaid say that they "offered just enough direction to know what to do but not enough to be too much". And I totally agree. The day of the wedding is stressful enough, but Stephen and Amanda made much of the day easier since they are so laid back but still got all the right shots. I was also amazed with how soon we received our beautiful photos. Great, great people to work with!

  Stephen is a pro. I got married in a separate state from where I live, and Stephen could not have been easier or more helpful to work with. He was even happy to take a trip out to a different state to take our engagement photos- which were fantastic! Stephen's personality is GREAT for the stressed out bride. He was perfect with his laid back personality, great sense of humor and professionalism. He definitely made it easy to relax and feel comfortable ENJOYING taking pictures. He took the time to get to know my style and personality to understand the types of photos I would want to have for the event- and they turned out wonderfully (all 2000+ of them) I had no idea he had snapped some of the pictures he had during the ceremony and reception. He got right up in the action without even being noticed. Like I said, he's a pro. He exceeded every expectation all while being enjoyably casual and professional.

  Not only is Stephen a fabulous photographer, he's a fabulous uncle as well. Yes, I'm very proud to say he is my uncle! Over the last couple of years I have had the privilege to look through several sessions that Stephen has done, and I have to say that in using a family member for our wedding photographer there was no obligation in the slightest bit. We never consider anyone else. He took our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner and wedding day photos. Each time we got together with Stephen it was so much fun. He kept us laughing a lot of the time which made for some great pictures. We have had countless compliments. Stephen was also very professional. He was really good about communicating with us about our wants, and he was incredibly accommodating. He was so helpful in giving his insight as well. I would rather have his insight than mine any day.

  Stephen was recommended to us by a friend who at the time only had her engagement pictures and after we looked at them, knew we found our photographer. This was by far the best choice we made for planning our wedding. He was extremely accommodating by traveling to another state to take our engagement and wedding photos. He has such a great personality that it allowed us to be at ease around him making the experience a lot less stressful, more comfortable and enjoyable. He was also assertive enough to ensure we got all of the photos we were looking for and stay on schedule. What was great was they took the time to get to know us, know what was important to us as well as the significance of the locations to capture what made them so special to us. He is very well organized and planned a schedule that was easy to work around, capture all we wanted and flexible enough to account for the unexpected!
