Incredible wedding flower vendor!

I was absolutely blown away by my weddings flowers Careth and her team did for my October wedding! The florals and greenery was breathtakingly beautiful - I got SO many compliments on my wedding flowers and rehearsal night. Careth completely brought my vision to life! I couldn't recommend Stems more :)

Careth and the rest of her team at Stems Flower Design are amazing! As someone with pretty limited knowledge about florals and not much time to plan, we placed a lot of trust in Careth in helping us bring our vague vision to life. Not only did she do an incredible job of helping guide us in what we needed, but she far exceeded our expectations in what we ever could have hoped for on our wedding day. Ever since our wedding, so many people have reached out to us asking who provided the florals. We still cannot believe how beautiful they turned out, and how special they made our day. We are so appreciative of Careth and her team, and we would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Best florals ever

Careth and the team at Stems Flower Design were amazing to work with for our July 2023 wedding. Florals were super important to me, and I had a very difficult time articulating what I was looking for. All I told Careth was "yellow and pink, somewhat neutral, whimsical, tall" and gave her like 2 Pinterest photos and WOW she made my wildest dreams a reality. I honestly can't get over how perfect my flowers were.

Incredible Talent and Service!

My husband and I worked with Stems Flower Design on our wedding at the Inn at Longshore in November 2022 and couldn't have been happier with the entire experience working with Carey and her team. First, she made suggestions that were extremely helpful as we put together our agreement, and really understood our budget. Although we would have trusted Carey to make something beautiful even if we gave her no direction, she listened to exactly what we wanted and put together arrangements that gave our wedding the fall feel we hoped for.
We had our ceremony in a church and the reception at the Inn at Longshore, and the florals for both were stunning. We received SO MANY compliments from our guests. Carey was also extremely responsive and was willing to go with the flow in making some last minute changes when we were able to switch our cocktail hour to being outside (originally, we planned to have it inside because it likely would have been too cold for outside). You can't go wrong working with Stems Flower Design!!

So talented!!

Carey is so talented! I was blown away by the flowers for my wedding. She was so profesional and easy to work with. She was mindful of my budget and when I asked to add a few things as the event date got closer she was super flexible and delivered on everything I wanted. I am so happy I found her and would highly recommend her.

Beautiful work by the best florist

Careth’s beautiful work was one of the highlights of our wedding! She was a pleasure to work with as she answered quickly and provided details from the first time we spoke. Careth made beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, boutineers, a flower crown for the flower girl and decorated welcome tables, signs, and even staircases. We gave her ideas for preferred colors and she ran with it. Her work was truly breathtaking and set such a classy yet romantic feel for the night. I could not recommend her enough!

Careth made our wedding dreams come true!

Words cannot describe how BEAUTIFUL the flowers were at our wedding thanks to Careth and Sandy from Stems Flower Design. I truly can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to making our wedding day look like the one of our dreams.

One of my friends from college told me that she remembers how I would describe what I would want my wedding to look like one day (this was well over a decade ago)… with heavy emphasis on how I would want the flowers, and she said my dreams became reality with Stems beautiful designs. Every guest I talked to was raving about the flowers and I’m pretty sure there was a race to get the flowers to bring home at the end of the night :)

Made our wedding so beautiful!

Careth was amazing to work with!!!! She made our venue look so lively and even more beautiful than we envisioned it. She is so incredibly talented and gave us many suggestions on color pallets and was on top of communication every step of the way. Careth even took time to go out of her way to meet us at the site (which is far from her studio) to discuss the plan and envision the layout for the florals. As a very indecisive bride, Careth was very flexible to my endless last minute changes. The floral designs that she did was even more beautiful that we could have ever imagined. She is also very kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our liking. She even made sure the flowers were portable at the end of the night for the guests to take home. Everything went amazing. Thank you so much Careth!!! Every single detail was perfect!!!

Carey was amazing. We honestly had no idea what we wanted to do for flowers, and she helped us pick a color palate that worked perfectly with our venue and our bridesmaid dresses. She also helped us get the most for our money. Highly recommend!

All we can say about Carey and Stem’s is WOW! We were blown away by all the work Carey and her mother did. I would have never guessed that flowers could make me emotional but everything they created was so beautiful it brought me to tears! The second I saw Carey walking towards me with my bouquet I burst into tears. She ‘got’ exactly what we wanted and made it happen. Our guests have not stopped talking about how stunning all the flowers at our wedding were. Stems really went above and beyond anything we had imagined in our minds. I can not recommend Stem’s more, just put your trust in them and they will create more than you could hope for!

Outstanding!!! Carey and her team were beyond amazing to work with. She was responsive and communicative, going above and beyond to meet us throughout the planning process. She listened to our ideas and built on them, creating a look that was better than we could have hoped for. She supplied us with tent decor, centerpieces, ceremony decor, aisle decor, boutonnieres, bouquets, hair pieces and additional accents - everything was stunning! Our guests even commented on the impressive quality of our florals and how perfectly the decor matched the vibe of our wedding and our personalities. I could not say enough positive things about working with Carey and the incredible job she did for our wedding.

Floral design meant a lot to me for my wedding and I'm so thankful and grateful I found Stems for a florist. Carey is an amazing artist who will fulfill your hopes and dreams. I personally feel that your flowers speak to your style and luckily I had Carey who made me look good! I probably switched gears 2-3 times throughout the year because as the time went on I had different visions for my wedding day. She was super flexible and responsive to my transition in ideas and she was able to put it all together fulfilling my expectations and more. There were details on my wedding day that I don't even think I asked for but I think after meeting with her a few times, she was able to grasp my style and ideas and run with it. I believe Carey and her team have top notch creative style and design with affordable prices. If you're looking for a 'Style Me Pretty' kind of wedding, you won't be disappointed with Stems.

Carey was INCREDIBLE to work with. She is endlessly creative, talented, and warm. During the planning process, she was so responsive - getting back to me right away, full of ideas, and eager to collaborate. After our discussions, she totally nailed the vision for the wedding, and took it to the next level, adding ideas that I never could have thought of on my own! If I had any questions, or wanted to change anything, she was completely flexible and a great listener.

During our site walk through with my wedding planner, she was very collaborative, and even offered things that my planner needed for her setup.

For the actual wedding - everything came out perfect, people were raving about the flowers - even my mom's two critical florist friends had their jaws dropping to the floor! I couldn't have been happier. Carey achieved a look for my wedding that was beautiful...and totally unique. And...all within my budget.

Our wedding was at Priam Vineyards in Colchester CT, September 2014.

I showed Carey a couple pictures of what I wanted and we discussed all of her ideas and mine. she took what I asked for and made it 1000X what I could have ever imagined.

I was getting ready when Carey's mom walked into the room to give me my bouquet, and from that moment I knew I had nothing to worry about and that everything would exceed my expectations because it was truly the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen.

Everything was so unique and incredible. From the smallest boutonniere to the giant arrangements cascading down the wine barrels at our vineyard ceremony, everything was perfect.

I would recommend Stems to anyone needing a florist for any occasion.

We used Sandy from Stems Flower Design for our wedding flowers in June, 2013. Sandy was very accommodating and worked with me to design the flower arrangements within our price point. She brought great suggestions to my attention and I immediately trusted her judgment regarding the different types of flowers/palettes to use for our wedding theme. Our wedding ceremony was at an Inn in the Berkshires and we wanted a vintage feel to the setting. Sandy created all of the centerpieces for the tables at the reception using mason jars/glass bottles wrapped with burlap and lace. She filled the glassware with loose bouquets of seasonal flowers in shades of orange, peach and pink. Many people commented on the beautiful centerpieces. We could not have asked for more beautiful flowers for our wedding!

Carey was amazing from start to finish. After a rough start (and end) with a different florist, Stems was recommended to us so I reached out asap. I wanted to do a lot of DIY for the containers and Carey was totally open to it. We talked about the floral arrangements and I just mentioned a few flowers I liked and sent a couple (hundred) pictures of stuff I thought looked pretty and told Carey to just run with it, I thought it would be more fun if she had creative freedom. And boy was I right! Our arrangements were absolutely stunning. I had glittered some mason jars and after we dropped them off before the wedding she even glittered some of her own containers to fit in!
Carey really went above and beyond I cannot stop gushing about how thrilled we were about the flowers, it really tied the whole venue together and look awesome in the pictures.
Anyone looking for a super talented florist instead of those run-of-the-mill bouquet factories, Stems is your florist!!

I had pictured what I wanted the flowers for our wedding to look like, but Stems made them even more beautiful than I had imagined. I felt like Carey took the time to really understand what we wanted and we were so happy with the results. Everyone at our wedding kept talking about how beautiful the flowers were.

We also rented our candles from them as well and they looked beautiful with our flowers.

We really couldn't have been happier and I highly recommend Stems.

Carey from STEMS provided the most gorgeous wedding flowers for my outdoor wedding and my indoor reception. We had the wedding in Connecticut in the fall with the theme of fall colors, and the flower designs she came up with were beyond imagination. The guests at my reception were even posting her table flower arrangements to Pinterest because they were that gorgeous! Carey was also great to work with, easy to communicate with, very receptive to my ideas, but also had amazing suggestions of her own. My pictures came out beautifully, and I owe a lot of that to Carey and STEMS!

Carey did an amazing job with the flowers for my outdoor wedding and indoor reception. It was completely over and above anything I could have expected. I knew what kinds of colors and a few flowers I wanted, but then totally relied on her for design, other flower suggestions, and suggestions for how to make the indoor reception room really look like a paradise of gorgeous flowers - and she did! I also had to work with Carey from a distance because I live in California and was getting married in Connecticut, but she was great at emailing and even met with my parents to go over some details, since I couldn't.

At the wedding itself, Carey created the most gorgeous trellis for the outdoor ceremony that I have ever seen. The inn where we were married even took pictures of it and put it on their main website to highlight the beauty of this fall wedding at their location.

Thank you, Carey! I cannot say enough good things about how wonderful you were to work with. Our pictures turned out spectacular, and much of it was due to the ambiance you provided with truly original and beautiful flower arrangements!

I had such trust in Carey's vision for our wedding, I didn't even stress!! I knew everything would be beautiful, and she surpassed all expectations. The wedding had to be moved under a large tent because of rain, and the arrangements around us were perfect. The table-scapes were perfect: simple, elegant, short so people could talk, with pops of red roses on every table (a nod to our 'exchanging of roses' element during our ceremony). The BEST was the arrangements on our welcome/table # number table - she created different size/height of arrangements that worked perfectly! Carey is truly and artist and will create the vision you desire. THANKS CAREY!!

I highly recommend Stems Floral. This amazing mother-daughter teamis incredible. They listen to your needs and make it work for a price that won't break the bank! The only thing you pay for are flowers; anything they have is yours to use (tree branches, candle containers, etc) Our wedding decor and bridal bouquets couldn't have been more perfect.

The first thing I said to Carey when I met her was that I didn't care about flowers, and I was not going to be the girl who gushed about them. She took that well, and then asked me what my non floral vision was. She listened to what I thought would work and then offered her insight and expertise to find a middle ground. 9 months later, I walked into the venue and was blown away by the beauty! The bouquets were exactly as I pictured them, the decor elements were flawless and the ceremony area was simply perfect! I still cannot believe how beautiful the reception looked! Carey was nothing short of a dream to work with, and her creative vision and execution were nothing less than spectacular!

Carey and the Stems team left me absolutely speechless (in a great way) on the morning of my wedding. She came highly recommended and because I have a terrible eye I really left my flowers open for Carey's suggestions. I pointed her in a direction of colors and she took it from there and absolutely WOWWED me and my guests. She took the time to go down to my venue (Belle Mer - which is about 1.5 hours from her) to do a mock up for me so we can ensure the colors and the overall look was perfect for our big day. I can't thank her enough. Our arrangements were the most unique florals I have ever seen. The flowers were not just flowers on our wedding day, they really made the ambiance the romantic feel I was dreaming of. She is AMAZING - so so talented!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough about Carey and the entire Steams team...they are INCREDIBLE! A hometown friend of mine recommended Stems after her wedding, and I couldn't be more grateful for the recommendation. Carey is truly SO talented! She is professional, timely, flexible, patient, and so sweet. The flowers at my wedding were absolutely INCREDIBLE! People were obsessed and continue to ask, "who was your florist?" Carey's knowledge of the Society Room worked perfectly, as she knew where to place certain arrangements. When I asked for deep, fall colors, I knew they would be beautiful, but not as beautiful as they were! Every single arrangement (and we had a lot) was absolutely perfect and beautiful. As well, Carey designed our chuppah and it was spectacular - I want a permanent one for my apt in NYC :) Last but not least, the value for Carey's work is unbelievable. I cannot thank Carey (and team) enough for the absolutely AMAZING job they did on our flowers and every related decoration. If my sister wasn't getting married in Chicago next year, we would have used her again. I know I will use her for any events I throw in the future! Thanks, Carey :)

I can't say enough wonderful things about Carey based on the floral designs she provided for our wedding. She understood exactly the kind of look we were going for and really went above and beyond in setting up our tables. Although I know Carey is extremely versatile based on photos of other weddings she has done, I didn't want something too formal or girly; I was looking for something really playful and colorful, and she nailed it with wildflowers arranged in small, mismatched glass vases that we collected and provided. The table arrangements were gorgeous, but I think where she really made me smile was with my bouquet, as well as the bouquets of my bridesmaids. I had a custom-made origami paper bouquet made on Etst, which she enhanced perfectly with pops of fresh flowers. For my bridesmaids, she integrated paper fans I'd found on bhldn into a small, bright bundle of fresh flowers as well. I really couldn't be happier, and her prices were incredibly reasonable. On top of the fact that she went above and beyond with my flowers, she's really friendly, responsive, and timely.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Stems!!! Carey was so kind to me and understand of what we were looking for - and, she brought our ideas to the next level and BEYOND exceeded our expectations - I literally could not have been more pleased. Carey and her team captured exactly what we were hoping for and truly went above and beyond - its clear that Stems treats their craft and a true art form - which it is! I will always be grateful to Carey and to Stems for all of the help (moving pieces around post-ceremony, pre-reception - on a very very hot day) and most importantly, for being very respectful of our budget while listening to what we wanted. Stems Flowers did an amazing job for my wedding. They were so flexible and willing to accommodate anything I could imagine. Carey was willing to meet with my reception site to get approval for an idea we had about hanging flowers. She also came to both the church and reception hall to do a walk through to envision how and where things would be set up. This is very important. Not all florists take the time to do this with you. On your big day you want to make sure everything will turn out just right so I greately appreciated this. On the day of my wedding the flowers were absolutely beautiful. I received so many compliments on them. The colors were perfect. The arrangments were creative yet elegant. I would recommend using Stems for your wedding or event if you want creative and beautiful flowers.

I would highly recommend Carey of Stems FlowerDesign. Since day one, she was extremely prompt in her responses and capable of doing a lot through email, which was helpful for me. She continued to show extreme professionalism until the end and was willing to go out of her way to make our day special. The bouquets blew my mind the day of as well as the flowers at the reception. It was even MORE beautiful than what I had even imagined. People are STILL talking about our flowers a month later. I will definitely hire her again for any event that needs a florist! Carey was outstanding! She was easy to work with, flexible, and offered fantastic suggestions. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted, and Carey took my few ideas and created bouquets and centerpieces that were exactly what I wanted. They were beautiful, and I would highly recommend her! Even my husband (groom), who doesn't typically comment on flowers, said that the centerpieces were the nicest he's ever seen.

Carey was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and flexible during the entire process. She was very good at hearing what I wanted and helping me with ideas to play off that vision. The flowers at my wedding were GORGEOUS! I could not be happier with how beautiful everything was. You could tell the time and thoughtfulness she put into each piece. Carey was also great about working with our budget. Working with Carey was fabulous. She is a great professional!

Carey is amazing! She went above and beyond my highest expectations. When I saw the flowers at my reception, I actually gasped. They were perfect. The vases were perfect and the flowers were perfect. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. She is a dream to work with. I have already recommended and I will continue to recommend her.

Stems recently provided my wife and I with some of the most unbelievable flower arrangements we've ever seen. They worked off of just one photo and one conversation about our quirky and unique style and blew our minds with the end product. They worked with our antique dealer and with unusual items like rocks and shells and various antique containers to achieve a look all our own. You would be crazy not to hire Carey!!!

BIG, BEAUTIFUL BANG for your BUCK.

I had a relatively small floral budget for my wedding, but you would have never known it! The flowers were so beautiful & there were a lot of them; no skimping here even on a budget! I had different arrangements for the tables at my reception and Carey made each table look so elegant. The overall look was stunning! After a basic idea of what I wanted for the wedding/reception; I left the details to Carey (not something I do easily) & she delivered! I got the colors & the soft look I wanted & none of the stuff I didn't want.

From the pictures I've been able to share with friends who were not at the wedding (not even professional photos, just those taken by guests who were there), everyone has had something to say about how beautiful my flowers were. And they were! Most importantly, my bouquet was just about an exact match to the picture I gave Carey to use as a guide. I was so tickled she got it so right! She got all the small stuff right as well;, the candles, the corsages, the roses used in the tribute to our Mom's, the arrangement @ the Guest Book table, all of it!

And the BIG BONUS, Carey is super easy to work with from start to finish.

Stem Flowers was really great to work with! They understood my vision and enhanced it further with their great knowledge of flowers. Their decoration and arrangement was so beautiful and really set the tone for the wedding. Carey did my wedding on June 18, 2011 and was a very great vendor. I constantly had questions and would email Carey, and within 24 hours I would have a response. I had seen pictures of other weddings she had done online and knew I wanted to work with her. Immediately after meeting her, I knew she would be our florist. She is very kind, but also makes you feel like you have known her for a while. Sometimes, you get people who you feel uncomfortable around, and feel like they are only there to get paid. Carey is the complete opposite --she really listened to me and my ideas and seemed excited to lay out what I had imagined. Our wedding day came and I was shocked and in love with the flowers. We received tons of compliments on our flowers, and I would recommend her and Stems Company to everyone :)

We got Carey's name from a wedding planner who said Carey was amazing...and amazing she was! We were planning for the flowers to be beautiful but they were spectacular. A friend told me they were the prettiest flowers she had ever seen at an event! Carey made the process easy. We met with her and told her our color scheme and she asked questions to determine out needs and was willing to work within our budget! Thanks Carey...now I can tell others you are amazing!

Carey from Stems provided floral arrangements for our 4/30 wedding. We could not have asked for anything better! From our first meeting, Carey already made us feel more like friends than clients! We had a beach themed wedding and told her a few ideas of what we wanted (more unique than standard flower centerpieces) and she ran with the idea! She even let us buy some of the shells, etc for our centerpieces ourselves to keep costs down AND came to our home to pick them up! We had the most beautiful, unique centerpieces we could have dreamed about. The boutonnieres were amazing - they even had tiny shells in them! And my bouquet and my bridesmaids were absolutely fabulous! She took my favorite flower and created such an amazing bouquet! Since we had our wedding at a more unique setting, where we had to do a lot of the work ourselves, Carey volunteered to help set up additional things that I wanted and stayed to help us clean up! We couldn't have asked for a more caring, talented and creative floral designer!

Stems was absolutely the most professional vendor with regards to unique ideas, flexibility, and being resourceful in adapting to our daughter's specific ideas for her wedding. Their understanding of how stressful a wedding could have become made her wedding a day to remember without any concerns. We have received so many compliments about the floral pieces beginning with the Church arrangements, to the bouquets, and table arrangements. When the opportunity arises again for such an occasion, we will certainly be contacting them once again without any reservations. The Mother/Daughter team is nothing short of FANTASTIC!!!

Atmosphere! Stems came into our wedding and created the most wonderful atmosphere you can imagine. The centerpieces on all 12 tables where magnificent. They used tall and short vases with the same flowers and each one was fantastic. When you looked out across the tables it was a sea of color texture and dimension. Absolutely stunning. The bouquets picked up the colors in the table arrangements and the Bride's bouquet was eloquent.
Stems was ez-y to work with, full of inspiration and ideas and made the entire event a pleasure.

Carey and her team did such a wonderful job for my September wedding, our guests could not stop complimenting her designs.

I gave Carey some general ideas of what I was interested in: colors, style, and she made it happen beyond my expectations! All flowers and plants (we used some Bear Grass and Wheat Grass to create some very modern pieces) were very fresh, and every arrangement, bouquet and kissing ball was absolutely stunning.

On the day of the wedding, Stems worked with my venue owner to set everything up; I did not need to have a hand in it, and was able to RELAX instead.

The value of product and service STEMS delivers for the price is just outstanding, I will certainly be using them for my next fancy event (now just need to determine what that event will be- 1yr anniversary? )

She was so nice and so professional, listened to all of my ideas and came up with ways to make them even better! I'd wanted our flowers and centerpieces to be a little different from the usual wedding bouquets and colors I'd seen, and Carey knew exactly what I was looking for! I had high expectations but I have to say, I was just completely blown away when I saw her work on my wedding day!! Our bouquets were nothing short of amazing, and the centerpieces were 10x better than I'd imagined! People could not stop talking about our flowers, and a week later, my bouquet still looked almost perfect! Carey is a true artist and professional and I would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone for their wedding or special event! Carey is absolutely amazing at her work with floral bouquets and decor, a true artist. She is enthusiastic, ambitious, really listens to your ideas and she adds even better ones and she is very flexible. She does what you ask her too! My bridal bouquet was what I imagined only so much better. It was Carey's flowers that brought tears to my eyes that day. You won't regretting choosing Carey as your florist, I promise!

The MOST magical flowers!!!

Careth and her team executed on the most stunning flowers for our wedding. Of course I'm biased, but as amazing as the photos turned out, the flowers were even more incredible in person! It's hard to describe—I have never, ever seen flower arrangements like the ones Careth put together (and many of our guests said the same thing).

We had a fall New England wedding, so I wanted to incorporate fall tones with pops of darker purples and peachy pinks. I also wanted the aesthetics to be more garden-style, whimsical, and organic (while still feeling fall-y). Careth got the vision from day one and proceeded to blow away every expectation I had. The flowers set the tone for the whole event and will forever be one of the elements I remember most from our wedding!

Gorgeous Flowers! GREAT Value!
Stems was absolutely amazing to work with - they captured my vision and created the most beautiful arrangements for our wedding! Carey was a true pleasure to work with from beginning to end and was able to help make decor suggestions that truly added to the vintage/rustic inspired theme. They were so much more than florist and offered a number of rented decor items that helped give the room a unique look! We got so many compliments from our guests and couldn't have been happier! I would definitely recommend Stems to anyone getting married - they will not disappoint :)

The flowers that Stems provided for our wedding were out of this world gorgeous! It was really important to us that flowers be locally sourced and Carey and Sandy were absolutely up for this challenge! I had a vision of what I wanted our flowers to look like but also gave Carey and Sandy a lot of freedoms and the flowers came out better than I could have imagined. They also provided additional decorations for our wedding which fit the rustic chic theme perfectly!

Wow! Careth's flowers made our entire wedding aesthetic!

Careth's flowers absolutely made our wedding aesthetic! I am blown away by her talent, and we received so many compliments on our amazing florals. Every detail she was able to add, from the vases to the candles, tied everything together for us also. We had a really difficult weather day, and Careth was super flexible with moving things from outside to in, and then inside to out when the radar showed a clearing close to the ceremony. She worked incredibly hard to get it all done, but is one of the reasons we were able to pull off our outdoor wedding ceremony on a crazy day. I knew Careth was wildly talented, so I just figured whatever she came up with for the day of would be beautiful, and it absolutely was!

Stunning, romantic wedding florals

I absolutely LOVED Careth's work and was so excited to be able to have her do our wedding florals. She was super responsive and generous with her time to discuss the details of the day (we had over a year of planning, so I made some tweaks along the way) The day of, I truly felt like the wedding florals were better than I could have imagined. She took my inspiration photos and brought them to life to a T! Everything exceeded my expectations.

I loved our flowers and thought Stems did a wonderful job artistically and creatively. I don't know a lot about flowers and had no idea what I wanted, so I admit I probably needed more hand-holding than other brides. However, we did have a few hiccups along the way in communication, and compared to all other vendors, it was very difficult getting an email response or call back from Carey. If you're a laid back bride and know your vision, I think Carey does awesome work.
