Chris was sooo AMAZING to work with. From the moment we met him during our first meeting, my (now) husband and I automatically felt at ease and we trusted that he would capture our perfect wedding day. Chris came highly recommended by our wedding planner and I can see why. He (and Zoey) did an awesome job with our wedding photos and in capturing one of the biggest days of our lives. We've known him for a number of years now and worked together on professional and family photoshoots, so it was no brainer when it came time to hire our wedding photographer. From our early planning calls to our engagement shoot, we were reminded of Chris's warmth, professionalism and ability to relax us into amazing shots despite discomfort in front of the camera. On our wedding day, Chris and his second shooter, Zoe, were very prepared and got through our formal shot list very efficiently even with our massive wedding party (28!). We're only a week out from the wedding so photos are forthcoming but it's great to have certainty they'll be incredible. We can't wait to work with Chris again! -

We were given great advice for wedding planning: pick 2-3 things you really care about, invest in those decisions, and let others help contribute toward the smaller decisions. There are so many decisions you can make in a wedding and it can be very fatiguing at times!
Picking a great photographer was one of the things we cared most about. We were recommended Chris Steele by our vendor, and we couldn’t have chosen anyone better for the job! He is the definition of a professional. On top of that, his photos are amazing! We booked an engagement session with him as well—I highly suggest doing this as it gives you an opportunity to get to know your photographer and increases your comfort on the big day. Plus, you only have one time to be engaged and it’s fun to take pictures in your own clothes in addition to your fancy wedding attire.
Chris has solid communication skills—we met on the phone with him to solidify our timeline of the day and he was great at coordinating with our venue staff and DJ in such a way that it took the stress off of us and we could be present for our day. We both have very large families and he was able to direct them efficiently so we could get all of the family shots we wanted plus more. He is extremely kind and helpful.
Our photos captured our natural selves and have a genuine spirit about them—that largely has to do with how at ease we were with Chris. He’s super fun and made us feel comfortable. Neither of us are naturals at posing, but we felt great with Chris encouraging us, directing us, and overall making us feel comfortable to be ourselves and take in this special day.
We will continue to recommend Chris to all of our friends and family; he is the best! -

Steele Photography was truly amazing.
Chris made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. He was as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the photos we wanted, and understanding our wedding photography priorities. He was very patient, and as a couple we are generally very awkward and have a tendency to pull silly faces the minute a camera is in our vicinity. Chris knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend!!! And not to mention his beautiful work. I can’t recommend him enough. -

Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was professional, kind and provided comedic relief on our stressful/beautiful day. Chris was well prepared as he ensured we had our meetings to go over details; he was always available through email for questions. I heard from numerous family members how great he was!
Now the photos… Our photos were returned in a timely manner, on a beautiful and easy to use website. Our photos are gorgeous! Timeless! We could not be happier! Chris took the time to capture real emotions and love. He was even gracious when I asked for particular shots with a variety of people (as we have a large blended family).
I would recommend working with Chris 10 folds over. Thank you Chris for capturing our day and making our wedding day last forever. You captured moments in time that we will share with family and friends forever. -

Chris helped me organize my wedding timeline during the beginning planning process and then was very professional about keeping to the timeline to day of. We can't thank Chris enough for everything he's done to capture such important moments in our lives. From the first day we met Chris, we felt an instant connection with him. He is fun to chat with, so joyful and funny, and matched our vibes of relaxed and cheerful but also very detail oriented. We hired him for our wedding and engagement photos and couldn't be happier. For the engagement photos he has a number of really private and breathtaking spots. We are somewhat self-conscious in front of the camera, but Chris made us feel super comfortable and gently directed us so our poses looked natural. On our wedding day, he really kept the show going. Even with our huge bridal parties and families, we got all the photos we wanted (and there were a LOT of them). The photographer is such an important person on your wedding day because they are there for all the special moments, and we felt so fortunate and happy having Chris there. We already got a sneak peak of our wedding photos and absolutely love them. His style of photography is timeless, bright, and full of joy and life, we could not be happier going with Chris. We highly recommend him and his team to anyone for wedding, engagement, or other events you have coming up!! -

Best photographer!
I can't say enough great things about Chris and Steele Photography. He was honestly one of the easiest and best choices we made for our Big Day! Starting with our engagement photos, he immediately made us feel at ease and enjoy the moment which in turn made our photos look so natural. We love his style of photos and they turned out beautifully!
On our Wedding Day, I showed up stressed and rushed, and he immediately did what he could to assure me that we will get everything in and that it will all run smoothly. He helped to keep the whole bridal party and our families in line to get all the photos we wanted. I had multiple people in our bridal party come up to me and tell me how personable our photographer was and that he was a great choice.
We got to see a few sneak peeks on his camera, and they were SO PERFECT. We can't wait to see how he captured our day! -

My wife and I loved every minute of working with Chris and adore the amazing photos he took of us! From our first call with him, through our engagement shoot and final wedding planning, and finally on the day of the wedding, Chris consistently showed not only his photography expertise, but was also extremely communicative, organized, and simply a joy to be around. Chris made us feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera (which doesn’t come naturally for us!) and all of the photos we have seen have far surpassed our expectations and will be cherished for years and years. We would highly recommend Steele Photography for any couple that is prioritizing high quality photography, as we wouldn’t have changed a thing.
We were initially drawn to Chris’ photography style because of how he so beautifully made moments come alive. His photos have a clean, slightly airy feel to them and we love how he plays with light (his golden hour snaps are truly incredible!). We loved that his editing was crisp and not overly filtered or trendy as we really wanted our wedding photos to be timeless. We would recommend Steele Photography a thousand times over to all our friends and family! If you’re searching now, look no further – you won’t be disappointed. -

Breathtaking Photos
From the moment we first met the Steele team, we knew they were the ones we wanted to document our special day! After getting our engagement photos back, we really knew we had made the right choice in selecting them. Extremely comparable prices to other photographers we met with, yet the value is so much more! The freedom gallery was a game changer and really sealed the deal - being able to share a link and code with all our guests to access the high quality photos is beyond helpful. There was no detail missed and this team really knew what they were doing. They were organized, methodical, and thorough, with some great personalities as a cherry on top. I cannot say enough good things about Steele Photography, and I get to cherish the beautiful photos for a lifetime. They captured the real magic of our special day and I'm forever grateful! -

Katie Sent on 09/16/2018My husband and I can't say enough great things about Steele Photography. Chris and JD took amazing photos of our outdoor vineyard wedding. They have a great eye for framing a shot just right (like pointing out when my hair was slightly askew, or telling my husband to relax his smile) that made our photos look perfect. It was a bright sunny day outside, which can be challenging in pictures, and the lighting in the shots looked wonderful. They were detailed in making sure we got the shots of all our key family members, in a style that felt comfortable to us. Highly recommend them!

It's easy for wedding photography to capture the "standard" shots of a wedding day, but Chris and Jd, see beyond that and capture "matters of the heart" They made sure to capture my very special relationship with my college daughter and moments with my elderly parents. Of course...the pics with my soul mate husband are incredible, but their insight and intuitive sense went beyond the obvious. They helped us be playful in our photo's and were creative with finding locations and lighting that were perfect. I might add, that they positioned me in the most flattering angles...which every bride truly appreciates! I can't express my gratitude and love enough for this dynamic duo of photographers. HIRE THEM, you won't be sorry! BEST investment into your wedding day (a wedding planner is tied with that investment...just sayin' :)

From initial contact to the entire wedding experience JD & Chris were both very patient and respectful throughout the whole process, friendly but still very professional. Would recommend them with no hesitation to anyone who wants the most beautiful wedding photos EVER! Chris and jD are professionals who know their stuff, but also instantly felt like friends. This husband and wife team made us feel so comfortable in front of the cameras! They made us feel confident and model-esque in front of the lens on our wedding day. Chris and jD are masters at working on a tight wedding-day timeline and worked their magic to get all of photos we wanted (and more) without holding anything up. They were super organized and helpful in getting people in their places and suggesting natural poses. For our bride & groom photos they encouraged my husband and I to keep moving - hugging, kissing, being playful, etc. and from there they captured the most special moments. Looking through our massive collection of photos after the wedding it's honestly hard to choose a favorite photo. They are literally all my favorite! Our investment was well worth it! Chris and jD don't just capture images, they truly capture moments and emotions. If you think they are priced high, they really aren't for their level of expertise, fun personalities, professionalism, and the service they offer. Truly priceless! Thanks a million, you two! -

When my now husband and I first got engaged, we knew of two things we ABSOLUTELY wanted have at our wedding. One of those things being good food (irrelevant here, but still part of the story- read on), and the other was AMAZING photographers. We were always interested in having two photographers for our wedding (a necessity- don't even think about hiring any photography team that doesn't have multiple photographers. Actually, don't even think about hiring anyone besides Steele Photography, seriously), so that narrowed our search down, a lot! When looking at Steele Photography's website, we could immediately see the raw talent Chris and jD have as photographers. Looking through their galleries was quite the experience! It was like being transported to their other couple's weddings. We could tell they were great at paying attention to detail and capturing moments perfectly. We were pretty sure just from looking at their website that we wanted them as our photographers, but once we met, we were POSITIVE they were the photographers for us. Chris and jD just have a way that makes you feel comfortable with them, immediately. To me, they felt like a long lost uncle and aunt; like family. We booked Steele Photography as soon as we got home from meeting them. BEST WEDDING DECISION!!! Chris and jD are so FANTASTIC! They truly and genuinely care about each and every one of their couples. You can tell they care by the way they photograph every detail and make every moment special. When you look back at those photos, you will feel the same emotion you felt on your wedding day!
