Timeless Elegance

This venue is easily one of the most gorgeous venues in Buffalo. The intricate vintage details have been lovingly maintained throughout the building. You can get away with minimal decor because the venue speaks for itself. The lighting in the terrace room is nothing short of ethereal.

Beyond the stunning architecture that transports you and your guests to another time, the staff at the Statler is top tier. Our event was handled with great care and extreme attention to detail. The planning process was aided by the hands of several knowledgeable professionals with a genuine passion for weddings.

They say you don't remember much from your wedding day because it goes by so fast, but the experience at the Statler was unforgettable from start to finish.

Amazing, Organized, Professional

The Statler was far from what I always pictured my wedding venue (I always wanted a rustic barn) but in the absolute best way!! We originally working with Hannah who was so helpful in getting the ball rolling, answering all our questions, and ensuring me that it would be absolutely beautiful. My husband always wanted a venue like the Statler and I am so glad I listened to him. Even when we had to switch coordinators, Hannah and Alex made the process absolutely seamless and we never felt any confusion and constantly felt like a priority to both of them!! The food, drinks and service the day of were just as amazing!! I, and several family members have food allergies and they accommodated every one of them without any issue. People have always told me about what people remember at weddings-food and music and we struck gold with both. We loved their willingness and professionalism in dealing with all our outside vendors as well! The Statler could not have been a more perfect venue!

Every couple should be so lucky to plan their wedding at The Statler. From the very start, working with Erin has been nothing short of incredible. She’s responsive, thorough, and kind, bringing a warm touch to the daunting nature of the wedding venue search.

And then there’s The Statler itself. Walking in, you immediately sense the rich history and beauty of this Buffalo landmark. It has clearly stood the test of time and is absolutely beautiful. Within five minutes, my fiancé and I both turned to each other and said, “this is where we’re getting married.” When you know, you know! The venue exudes charm, elegance and class.

Amazing Venue and Service!

Highly recommend this venue, they did a phenomenal job at accommodating our wedding wish list! Everything was so beautiful and we could not have asked for better responsiveness and flexibility from the Statler staff. Hannah was the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for and ensured everything went smoothly for our wedding day. Erin was also extremely helpful. This is the best wedding venue in Buffalo, very close to hotels and great restaurants and bars.

The Perfect Wedding Venue

We honestly can't say enough great things about The Statler in downtown Buffalo. From the moment we started planning our wedding, Erin has been nothing short of amazing. She's been so helpful, organized, and genuinely kind—always making sure every little detail is covered. We feel so lucky to have her in our corner.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The space has this timeless, vintage charm that’s been beautifully preserved, and you can really feel the history when you walk in. It’s elegant without being over-the-top, and every corner of the building has character.

What’s made this whole experience even more special is how dedicated the entire Statler team is. Every staff member we've interacted with has been so kind and clearly committed to making our wedding perfect. You can tell they care about every couple and take pride in what they do.

The BEST wedding venue in Buffalo!

The Statler is obviously beautiful! We were so pleased working with Angela while booking our date. She was extremely helpful with all of our questions and needs. Golden Ballroom Black Tie Brilliance

When I say The Statler Golden Ballroom was the most incredible and breathtaking wedding venue we could have ever dreamed of, I truly mean every word. From the moment we toured the space, we knew it was something special—but what they delivered on our wedding day far exceeded even our highest expectations.

Our wedding hosted 250 guests, which is no small feat for any venue. But The Statler executed it with absolute grace, elegance, and precision. The entire evening felt timeless, classy, and truly magical. The space itself is stunning—grand, historic, and immaculately maintained. The architecture and ambiance set the perfect backdrop for the most important day of our lives.

One of the standout elements of our experience was the staff. Every member of the team—from our event coordinator to the servers and bartenders—was attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our celebration seamless. The accommodations they made for us were thoughtful and personalized, and they made sure we never had to lift a finger the entire night. Their professionalism and warmth allowed us to relax and be fully present in the moment.

And the food... Every single guest raved that it was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding. From cocktail hour to dinner service, everything was prepared and served flawlessly. Our meals were 10/10, and not a single bite was anything less than perfection. Everything about it was just delicious.

Logistically, the event ran like a dream. There were never lines at the bar, the dance floor was packed all night, and the flow of the evening was effortless. Our guests were entertained and cared for, and the joy in the room was palpable from start to finish. As the bride, I was over the moon—every detail was just as I imagined, if not better.

Everything we could have ever wanted

The Statler provided everything we imagined our wedding could be. The space is stunning. Hannah was excellent at coordinating all the moving pieces. We did not need a wedding planner as she provided everything we needed. Food and service were exceptional. Highly recommended to anyone looking to have their wedding in downtown Buffalo.

Love Love Love

We hosted our wedding at the Statler in July, and it exceeded expectations. The Terrace Room, an absolutely gorgeous space, it had plenty of room for our 100 guests, and the cocktail space within the lobby was perfect. The Statler event coordinator, Hannah Lasher, was very hands-on and worked so well with our wedding planner Sarah (Good neighbor events) to address every handled every detail of the day, which reduced our stress and allowed us to focus on enjoying our wedding. We highly recommend The Statler for anyone wanting a well-run wedding or event in a beautiful historical setting.

Truly the Perfect Wedding Venue

We had our wedding at this beautiful historic hotel in downtown Buffalo, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The restoration work they’ve done is absolutely stunning. The ballrooms are elegant, timeless, and made the perfect backdrop for our big day.

Every detail was handled with care. The staff was beyond helpful and kind from start to finish, and the food was incredible. Our guests are still talking about it! Everything went perfectly, and we’re so grateful to have celebrated in such a special place. Truly a flawless experience. Highly recommend!

Elegant and affordable!

I just booked the Statler for my wedding, and my fiance and I could not be happier! The historic hotel, located in the heart of Buffalo, is breathtaking with original 1920s chandeliers, multiple ballrooms, and an old school, gentleman's bar named Miltons. The first time you see it, you'll want to book it. Then, Erin, the Event Sales Specialist, will work with your budget and your priorities to make it happen. My fiance and I live out-of-town, and Erin was incredibly accommodating with communicating remotely and fitting in last-minute tours when we were visiting. I highly recommend checking it out!

Most beautiful venue for such an unforgettable day!

Alex is a gem! She was very helpful every step of the way as we planned our wedding from us trying to find a reception venue that could hold at least 350 guests to identifying what to expect and where to source vendors, supplies, etc. Our wedding reception was extraordinary as we transformed the main ballroom to look exactly how we envisioned it - simply elegant! Wedding at the Statler 7/26/25! Most incredible day ever!

We truly cannot say enough good things about the Statler and all of their staff. We are still on cloud 9 after our amazing wedding day last weekend. The Statler was the most beautiful place we had ever seen and from the moment we first toured it, we knew it was perfect. I was in love. The service made it ever better! Hannah Lasher is the best wedding coordinator you will ever encounter. Her kindness, dedication, hard work, immense knowledge, flexibility, and constant support for the couples she works with is truly amazing. We had such a wonderful time working with her. She always made us laugh, and every time we would leave a meeting with her I would feel a weight off my shoulders knowing that she had it covered! I knew we had nothing to worry about because Hannah was on top of it! You can truly rely on Hannah, Erin, Emily, and all the staff at the Statler to make sure your day is perfect. They are amazing! On the day of our wedding, Emily made us a plate of hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and brought us until Miltons and told us to enjoy 10 minutes of quiet time because we would be with our guests for the rest of the night. That truly meant so much to us, and we knew that she genuinely cared. Adrien the chef is an artist and his food was absolutely raved about by our guests. The servers and bartenders went above and beyond to please us. Every single guest told us that it was either the best wedding they had ever been to, the Statler was the most gorgeous place they had ever been, or that the food was to die for. Everyone was happy, and my husband and I, and our families truly had the best day ever. The Statler is worth every penny. From the breathtaking, like no other, 1920’s vibe, to the personalized service, you can’t go wrong! We wish we could repeat our day over and over again. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at the Statler for giving us the best wedding ever!

Perfect Wedding Venue

My Fiance and I booked The Statler for our wedding next year and couldn’t be more excited! So Excited for our Special Day!

Kufchak Wedding 6.2024

Our wedding in June 2024 was nothing short of perfection. The care and attention that Alex and her team put into our day was more than we could've asked for. A rainy day ended up being a blessing in disguise as we were able to take photos in the venue before cocktail hour which turned out beautifully.

Incredible time hosting our Sangeet at the Statler!

We were able to host our Sangeet, and Indian pre-wedding celebration, at the Statler for 260 guests in April 2024 and it was incredible!!! The Statler team, led by Alex & Hannah, were incredible & easy to work with. They were super communicative, answered our questions quickly, and were open to our ideas in terms of layout and set up. The venue itself is beautiful and really worked well for our decor for our Indian Sangeet night! Our guests had an incredible time - the bartenders worked quickly, the dance floor was big enough for our big dancing crowd, and the entire night went super smoothly. We were so happy to host our Sangeet at the Statler to kick off our wedding weekend and would highly recommend the Statler to anyone looking for a place to host an event!

Best. Venue. Ever.

Where to begin? Our daughter and son-in-law had the wedding reception of their dreams at Statler City on May 29, 2021. It was PERFFECT! From cocktail hour in Palm Court to dinner in the Terrace Room to the after party in Lobby Bar, EVERYTHING was elegant, upscale, and simply stunning. Under normal circumstances, planning a wedding can be challenging. In the midst of a global pandemic, “challenging” is an understatement. Our experience was wonderful start to finish. Alex was professional, responsive, and flexible throughout the entire planning process. She was invaluable in helping us navigate the ever-changing COVID state guidelines, and I will be forever grateful for her willingness to listen to our concerns and think outside the box to help us host a memorable event. Thankfully, most virus restrictions were dropped the week before our wedding. I think Alex was as happy to share the news with us as we were to receive it! Finally, if you believe that food is one of the most important elements of a wedding reception, look no further. No matter how beautiful the venue or how entertaining the DJ is, your guests will remember if they enjoyed what they ate. The Statler did not disappoint. The hand-passed appetizers were unique, substantial, and delicious. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the chicken was cooked to perfection, and everything was HOT! No simple feat when serving 150 guests! Also, the service was impeccable and the staff was polite, attentive, and responsive. Thank you, Statler City, for helping to make our daughter’s wedding day one of the happiest days of our lives! You are truly a historic gem that reflects the heart of Buffalo and THE ideal venue for couples looking to showcase our beautiful city!

My wedding at statler city

I had my wedding here on September 6th 2019 and it was absolutely amazing and perfect! I had fallen in love with the Statler years ago and always knew I wanted my wedding there. The building is absolutely gorgeous. Our wedding was in the terrace room and it could not have turned out better. We worked with Colleen who was so great and helpful the entire time! The staff set up everything so great, when I walked in on my wedding day I could have cried seeing how everything came together so perfectly! The food was amazing and many of my guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had and that they had very friendly servers. Our server was very attentive to us during dinner making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I could not have asked for more. The statler made our wedding day everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more. If I could do it again I would!

I cannot say enough about Statler City. The staff, Colleen, Tammy, Brooke, Dan were amazing to work with. Colleen really made me feel like a queen!!! Tammy kept everyone organized and moving. Such an amazing experience. We were married in the Mezzanine and had our reception in the Terrace Room. The food was amazing. Our Guests could not believe how good the filet and chicken was. The bartenders were top notch all night. No one waited for a drink, especially the bride and groom. We were treated like royalty. I could not have asked for a better experience. It was beyond my expectations. My guests were definitely impressed!!!

Best. Venue. Ever.

I CANNOT say enough about how amazing this place is! Our experience was WONDERFUL from start to finish! Colleen worked with us throughout the planning stages and made everything so easy. Even when I didn't have answers to the questions she asked, she was super flexible and willing to work with me. It was also great to get her input when I wasn't sure about how to organize things. I loved Colleen so much that I was a little nervous when I found out she wouldn't be the one coordinating things the day of, but that Tammy (the general manager I think) and her team would be with us. I had no reason to be nervous though because Tammy and her team (Brooke, our floor captain, catering staff) were AMAZING!!! They knew about all the little details and changes we had communicated to Colleen and made sure things ran soooo smoothly throughout the night.

We received so many compliments from friends and family on the venue itself (it is BEAUTIFUL!), how smooth everything flowed, and so many compliments on the food! A lot of guests said that was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding!

Apart from how easy everyone at the Statler makes it for you when planning a wedding, the aesthetics are also an enormous reason why this place is so great! It is just naturally beautiful. We had our ceremony in the Georgian Ballroom which is a gorgeous space. So much so that we didn't need to add much decoration at all. This venue was so worth it! Also, we were able to schedule our wedding during their offseason and on a Friday, which saved us a lot and made this place really affordable for us.

Beautiful and Amazing!

I would highly recommend Statler City to anyone who is in the search for a wedding venue! We got married in the Golden Ballroom and the venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful... minimal extra detail and decor needs to be added.

For the most part we worked with Colleen and we don't have enough good things to say about her. She made the entire planning process as easy as could be and she had a true understanding for wedding knowledge and always lead us in the right direction when it came to making decisions. She was always quick to respond and provide us with genuine ideas. She put my mind at ease about so many things and I couldn't be more thankful!

The day of everything seemed to run as seamless and smooth as possible! We had a strict timeline we wanted to follow and the staff at Statler City and our captain were efficient and trained well enough to have it be followed. We had a 260 person wedding and there was minimal wait time between courses and at the bar which is always a highlight. We received many compliments and praise on how good the food was!

All in all.... we couldn't be more happy with having chosen Statler City as our wedding venue!

Absolutely fantastic

The Statler was the first and only venue we toured and upon our first visit, we *knew* it was the right fit. Startlingly beautiful, grand, full of art deco glamour. We booked immediately and began the planning process.

From the very beginning, the entire process was smooth sailing. Colleen is a dream to work with - she is prompt, organized, and full of fantastic advice to help guide you along the way. Fast forward to the day of our wedding and wow! What an amazing night! We had our ceremony up in the Georgian Room and the reception down in the Terrace Room. We received SO many compliments on how well organized everything was, how amazing the food was (get the filet!), and how beautiful and grand the venue itself was. Our experience as the bride and groom was also fantastic - Tammy, Brooke, our floor captain, and all Statler staff were attentive to all our needs for the duration of the evening and made sure we were comfortable.

Honestly, if they are in your budget, go for this venue. The aesthetic value is worth it alone but everything else is also top notch. We had essentially nothing to worry about the entire planning process and could just focus on enjoying ourselves and the wedding itself. It was so so so so worth it!!

Best venue & staff ever!

THE BEST staff ever. Statler was so organized and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. We worked with Colleen on everything leading up to the wedding. She is so good at her job and you can tell she truly loves doing it. We got married on a Friday and they have a fantastic deal on prices if you do a Friday. The night-of staff was also amazing. We had the GM, banquet manager, and a captain to help us through the night. They helped the night run so smoothly. The food was out of this world. We did braised short ribs and chicken piccata. I’m still getting calls and texts from friends and family raving about the food! Not to mention, the venue is absolutely gorgeous! If you are looking for a flawless night with a vintage flare, then seriously look no further.

Couldn't dream of a more perfect wedding

We got married on September 21st of 2019. We had an amazing experience, our wedding was a dream come true. Colleen and Tammy really pulled everything together and made everything perfect. We had our ceremony and reception at Statler and it was just beyond beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone. The Most Beautiful Venue

There are not enough words to express how much we absolutely loved having our wedding at the Statler!!!! Not only was it absolutely beautiful, but the managers and staff were absolutely wonderful!!! Tammy, Alex, and Colleen are the best team we could have ever hoped for!!! They are professional and organized, no detail was missed or overlooked!! They are also some of the most pleasant people to work with!!! I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone considering having their wedding in Buffalo!!

Perfect in every detail!

Perfect. Period. Amazing.
We needed a large venue.
We researched, visited, talked to many people before choosing the Statler for our son’s wedding.

We worked with Colleen. She was 500% on her game.
She was knowledgeable, helpful, lots of ideas, super friendly and a pleasure to work with.
The wait staff was spot on. Courteous and professional at all times.
The bartenders kept the busy bar lines short or non existent- also very personable and professional.
We served 254 delicious dinners, all hot upon presentation.
Every single person we encountered was great and made the night come together perfectly!
The night was very well planned and not one problem!
We would ( and still do) highly recommend the Statler to anyone planning a wedding.
Dollar for dollar we spent less than other venues because everything was included in the cost-no upcharges or surprises.
The grand ballroom was stunning!
Our son & daughter in law had a spectacular fairy tale wedding combined with a St Patrick’s Day party no one will ever forget!

Stress Free and Magical

If I could give the Statler a review of higher than 5, I would. The entire staff was amazing from when we contacted about venue info all the way to after the wedding day. We had submitted for some information on their website and I received an email from their sales manager at the time, Dan, that same night. We had then gone and toured the facility and completely fell in LOVE with the decor and vibe of everything. We booked shortly after and were told that we would be working with Jamie for our wedding. Let me just say, Jamie is AWESOME!! She was so great with keeping up with communications and was able to answer any questions I had at any point in my planning process. When it got closer to the actual date, she really helped me prioritize everything I needed to prepare for the Statler for the day of. We were below our minimum when we submitted our final counts so Jamie helped us choose an easy add on that would bring us right to it. On the day of the rehearsal dinner, Jamie was there and introduced us to Tammy who helped us coordinate day of events, and Emily who also helped with day of events. Everyone was so genuinely kind and really knew how to work together to make everything seamless. On the wedding day, we arrived at the Statler before the ceremony and got ourselves put together. The staff made sure everything we needed was taken care of and made it so easy for me not to worry. I do not let go of control easily but I had total faith in the Statler. During the ceremony, everyone was on standby and helped us get to where we needed to be in the most organized way possible. Then for the reception, we were guided into the Terrace Room. My MOH had accidentally left her speech in her bag that was now in the bridal suite and Jamie RAN and found it in no time (sorry Jamie!!). Everyone was on their toes and there was always someone nearby in case one of us had a question about anything. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We chose to have the chicken piccata, short ribs, and a vegetarian option. They also do have a vegan option if necessary, which we heard was fantastic from some of our guests. The food in general was absolutely delicious and the portions were extremely generous! At the end of the night, everyone made sure all of the facility was cleaned up and made sure we had everything we needed. We had brought a few items of our own for decor and did not have room to bring them all back with us the wedding night. We were able to return on Monday to pick up the remainder of our items. 10/10 would recommend the Statler to anyone looking for a wedding venue. I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience. Everything was PERFECT.

Amazing service & gorgeous venue!

There's not much to say about Statler that hasnt already been said. They are #1 in Buffalo for an amazingly elegant wedding, they focus on making your day PERFECT, which it was, their service was impeccable and the food was incredible. Statler is just the best, our wedding wouldn't have been what it was, if it wasn't for the staff at Statler. We worked with Alex and Colleen and they were both just amazing. Always responsive to my millions of emails and friendly and helpful. The planning process was so easy with them. When we dropped off our stuff the night before i was worried it wouldn't look how i imagined, but the next day i was SO pleasantly surprised that the staff put everything together EXACTLY as i asked, it was just as if id done it myself. Our service the evening of our wedding was excellent, we were always brought food and drinks, they were so attentive, the guests were impressed with the level of the food. it tasted just as if the chef was cooking for a small family, not 240 guests. The pick up process after the wedding was easy i had a few days to come get things. Overall the experience was perfect truly, we are so happy we chose Statler!!!!!

Fairytale wedding!

From start to finish, the team at the statler was pure perfection. Colleen helped us to plan the event; her attention to detail and relaxed personality put me at ease through the entire process - she is aware of and has every aspect under control. As for the night of, the staff was amazing. People are still telling me how attentive and prompt the servers were. The courses came out perfectly timed, they were nothing but respectful, and they touched base with me through the night to make sure everything was okay. The flow/timeline of the event went without a hitch as well. The food was absolutely divine. The hand passed food during cocktail hour was so tasty - everyone loved the lamb. All entrees were fantastic - especially the short ribs and salmon. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a more fantastic reception venue. From start to finish they were a dream. Thanks statler for making my wedding a fairytale!

Best Day Ever!!!

My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Golden Ballroom on 10.20.18. The moment that we had our first appointment with Alexandra, almost a year and a half before our wedding date, I knew that this was the perfect venue for us. From the venue, to the food, to the service, everything was simply perfect. We worked with both Colleen and Jaime throughout the planning up to the day of the wedding and we could not have asked for anyone better to work with. They were thorough, organized, detailed, and last but not least accommodated everything that we asked for. They provided everything that we would need in terms of timelines, menu options, vendor recommendations which really helped us throughout the planning processes.
The bar staff and servers so polite, attentive, and quick to ensure all of our needs and our guests needs were met the entire evening, as well. Now for the food! Our guests could not stop raving about the food. Everything from the antipasto table and hand passed hors d'oeuvres (which were a meal in itself) to the pasta course, salad, and main entree was absolutely amazing...our guests could not stop raving about it all evening (and some still are!!)

Colleen, Jaime, Angelo, and the rest of the staff truly went above and beyond to ensure that our vision came true and our day was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been too and I truly believe that it would have been that way if we went somewhere else. We cannot thank them enough for everything that they did to make this the best day ever.

Simply put...perfect.

The team at the Statler were excellent. I couldn't be happier about how our wedding went! Our wedding was very large and I had a few "new" requests when planning the receptions. From the start, Colleen and team were helpful and accommodating. The planning was seamless and the team executed to a T. I was able to enjoy myself and rest easy going into the big day and all throughout the night. They knew what I needed before I even knew that I need it. My vision came to life with the Statler. Stunning venue, exception service!

Statler City made planning our wedding such an enjoyable experience. Our wedding day was more than we could have ever imagined. Each detail was absolutely perfect because the team doesn't miss a beat, or a detail. We received such wonderful compliments from our guests - the service was wonderful, the venue was stunning, and the food was incredible. The staff made sure we were taken care of all night. We were checked in on continuously. Every single person we encountered just helped to elevate our experience.

Statler and the staff was AMAZING! I cannot day enough about them. They’re organized and professional. My day went perfectly. Absolutely AMAZING! I cannot express how amazing our wedding was at the Statler. From the time arrived to the time the night was over we were catered to hand and foot. When the bridal party arrived, we were greeted with champagne chilling in the bridal suite. While relaxing a tray of all the hors-d'oeuvres was delivered to our room. All throughout the night, our captain came over to make sure everything was going great. The wait staff was so attentive and would take orders and get us drinks from the bar during dinner. Every guest I talked to could not stop raving about the service they received. The food was also amazing. Every filet was cooked to perfection and everyone who had the chicken and vegetarian options were (I'm told) were amazing as well. I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars because they truly did a magical job. At the end of the night, everyone told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and it truly was.

Colleen and Caitlin were beyond amazing, along with the rest of the staff. We were treated so well and everything ran smoothly. I have received so many wonderful comments on our wedding from the staff, to the ambiance, to the food. Everything was beyond perfection and they really have it together. The Statler made our wedding day even more perfect than I could have ever imagined! They do an outstanding job-everyone involved in the production of our wedding, especially Jamie and Colleen, were fantastic! There was so much attention to detail, so much thought and they executed the day to perfection! It is clear that Jamie, Colleen and all others we encountered at the Statler are true professionals at what they do. I cannot express enough how incredibly happy we were when choosing the Statler. We had both our ceremony and reception on site and everything about the evening was exactly what we hoped for! We worked with Colleen throughout the whole process and she was there every step of the way whether it was a call, text, or email to answer all of our questions. She really made the whole planning process so easy and fun! We worked with Jamie the night of and she picked right up where Colleen left off to make sure the evening ran smoothly. I recently got married at the Statler on April 7, 2018 and had such an amazing experience. From our first tour we immediately knew that this was the venue. It is such a beautiful venue and a lot of great package options to choose from. We had the pleasure of working with Colleen as our Day of Coordinator and cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She made wedding details so easy. As an out of town bride, she was quick to answer my emails and was very accommodating to fit us in while back in Buffalo. Jaime was our contact the night of the wedding and everything went so smoothly! Jaime and Colleen really worked with us for some last minute guest count changes and made the entire event low stress!

The food was amazing and everything went off without a hitch! Our guests had so many compliments about the building, service, food, staff, etc. The Statler was an amazing venue to celebrate our marriage and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We had our wedding in the Terrance Room at The Statler in June and it was PERFECT! From our first meeting, until after the reception the entire staff was extremely nice, helpful, accommodating and fun to work with. Jamie was our coordinator and she was very easy to get a hold of throughout our planning process and answered every question promptly. She also offered a lot of advice about things we had not even thought about, which was extremely helpful and made our special day run smoothly without a hitch. Absolutely beautiful venue. Perfect for pictures. The hors d'oeuvres were unique and quite tasty and the entrees perfectly seasoned and cooked. A perfect steak when you have to cook for 200+ people is very impressive! The sides were mouth-watering.

The valet parking took the worry out of trying to find a place to park (and walk in formal clothing) downtown.

I had a wonderful time and look forward to the next event there!

Our wedding was two weeks ago and we are STILL getting messages about how excellent the food was - and we absolutely agree. The meals (filet, chicken wellington and vegetable risotto) were superb and served hot to 140 guests and in a timely and professional manner. Our entire experience working with Colleen from coordinating the date to choosing which wine to serve with dinner was fantastic - she is very easy to talk to and communicate with and had a very quick response time to our questions and/or requests. I would absolutely recommend this venue if it works for your budget - it was worth every penny.

I don’t even know how to start this review. My husband and I got married here this weekend and wow. This place is simply amazing. They cover every aspect of your wedding you can think of. Their hospitality staff (we dealt directly with Jaime who is the best of the best) is top of the line. From months to weeks before the wedding they are in contact with you to ensure that every detail is covered to your liking. On the day of the wedding they made sure everything went according plan. They laid out a very precise timeline of the evening which made the night go smooth. The food was amazing, the bartenders were fast, the environment that the Statler establishes is like none other. If you want a wedding that is stress free and amazing look no further. They will make your night the most amazing one you will ever have. I feel bad for anyone who attended my wedding that has to marry after us. The Statler sets the bar and they set it high. Save yourself the time and trouble and meet with them first. You won’t regret it.

The Statler went above and beyond to make my wedding day a dream come true. Working with Colleen was so easy and fun - she was super responsive and helpful in planning my reception. The Golden Ballroom was the perfect space for our reception of almost 300 guests as it is grand and big and never felt cramped. The day of, Jamie, Angelo and the rest of the staff were incredible and made sure everything ran smoothly. Guests were blown away by the food and some said it was the best meal they've ever had! Our meal choices were filet, chicken Milanese, and vegetable risotto and they were all so good! The antipasto display at cocktail hour was spectacular. I wish I could relive this day it was so great thanks to Statler City.

We recently had our wedding at the Statler at the beginning of June and everything went flawlessly. Everyone we worked with at the Stalter was incredibly helpful and responsive and glad to meet any needs we had. They made the planning process very easy and clear to follow and were responsive to all my questions along the way. The venue is so stunning and really makes a statement to your guests that they are at an elegant event. The reception itself was absolutely perfect the food was incredible - our guests could not stop talking about how delicious their dinners were. It was beyond impressive that they were able to serve the same amazing quality of food to all our 250 guests. We had the manager checking in with us periodically to see if there was anything we needed throughout the night. All in all our reception went off without a hitch and we owe it all to the experienced team at the Statler.

From the moment my husband and I walked into the Statler, we felt good about it and knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. From that initial meeting through the wedding night, we never had a moment of regret with the decision. The Statler is the perfect place for a Buffalo wedding. The venue is beautiful (with little need for added decor), the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. No detail was overlooked by the staff, and they made sure that all of our plans were executed as we wanted. Our guests were all wowed by the reception and had a great time.

I had my wedding reception at the Statler in the Golden Ballroom on 5.5.2018 and it was absolutely amazing!! We worked with Colleen throughout the planning and she was an absolute dream! So helpful with all of our questions and ask very accommodating. She was even able to send me recommendations for hair and makeup people when I was struggling close to the wedding. We worked with Jamie the night of the wedding and she was also so very nice! We have quite a rowdy bunch and everyone just went with the flow which made the night so fun! Although I didn’t get to eat much every guest had nothing but good things to say about it. Every person on the staff was also incredible including waiters and bartenders. I really can’t say enough good things about our experience there. I would say that if you are able to have your wedding at the Statler totally go for it. I have nothing to complain about from the night of the wedding and I think a large part of that is due to the venue and all of the people we worked with there.

My husband and I could not of been happier with our daughters wedding reception. It was beautiful and magical! Our event coordinator Jamie was so accommodating and worked with us so well that she alleviated a lot of stress and we were able to just enjoy. Didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had gone over everything ahead of time and it played out perfectly. All the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. And the venue itself was beautiful and allowed guests to flow from area to area seamlessly.
The chef Jeff did an awesome job with the food from beginning to end. We are still hearing how wonderful the food was. It was delicious and beautifully plated! Portion size perfect
All around we just could not of been happier and couldn’t of asked for more

Our daughter's wedding was this weekend and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the evening was! I had the pleasure of planning a big part of my daughter's wedding. We looked at 10 venues in the Buffalo area. We chose the Golden Ballroom at Statler City. It was far more impressive & elegant than any other venue in the area and we received top notch service from the first meeting all the way until the last drink was poured. Our coordinator was Jamie Ferrone. I can't say enough about Jamie. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole planning process. And, because my daughter lives out of town, she understood our time table and was very accommodating. Jamie was very intuitive, she anticipated every question & always had the correct answer. In my opinion, Jamie went above and beyond her duties. She was always there when I needed her and by the end of the planning process I felt like she was one of the family. She was a pleasure to work with. On the night of the reception, the ballroom looked spectacular. It was set up exactly how we requested. Yes, we had some instructions to follow and we made a list of how we wanted things to be set up, but I strongly believe it's because of this process that everything was flawless that night. We were able to bring in some of our own (and rented) decorations and the staff graciously set them up. The appetizers were amazing. We had rack of lamb, short rib sliders, lobster cobbler and bacon wrapped scallops. These were served along with their amazing antipasto display. Our guests dined on filet mignon and chicken piccata and both were out of this world delicious. Wait staff was very pleasant and efficient. Dinner was served in a timely manner so it didn't drag on forever. Angelo, our captain, made sure the night ran smooth. Our guests have not stopped talking about the wedding and many have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I even got thank you notes from some guests! The Statler provided an elegant reception beyond my daughter's dreams.

We had our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at Statler City in Buffalo. My first words to describe the venue was elegant and perfect.
The ceremony was in the Georgian Ballroom which was just lovely. The cocktail hour was in front of the Terrace Room where the reception was being held. The first words to describe the venue was elegant. All of the guests that I talked to raved about the food, service, and how beautiful the venue was.
Jamie and Colleen were very professional and a joy to work with. We could not have asked for a better staff to make our daughter and son-in-law's wedding day so amazing.

It has been 3 weeks since we've had our wedding reception at Statler City in the Terrace Room. To this day our family & friends can't stop talking about how amazing the food, service and atmosphere was! In the beginning planning stage Colleen was so helpful and attentative, when she went on maternity leave Jamie stepped right in and already knew exactly what the plan was. These ladies made our wedding planning experience wonderful and stress-free, we didn't even have to worry about coordinating with our vendors or setting anything up - everything was exactly how we wanted it! Plus the venu is already gorgeous as it is. The day of the reception we were taken care of as soon as we walked in the door and the exceptional service didn't stop all night long. If I could tell every couple in Buffalo that is getting married I would tell them to pick Statler City a million times. Kyle & I hope to be invited to a wedding at Statler City in the future it was that spectacular. My husband got married at the Statler last night! Everything was absolutely stunning! Jamie was a pleasure to work with, she greeted us upon arrival and checked in on us throughout the reception. If I could give 10 stars on your site for Statler City, I would. My daughter and her husband had their wedding reception in the Terrace Room on 8/3/17. Jamie, Colleen and the entire staff were wonderful. The hors d'oeuvres and dinners were delicious. Dinner choices were filet mignon, chicken milanese or portabella mushroom ravioli. Our guests contnued to compliment their dinners and the staff throughout the night. And the Terrace Room - Absolutely gorgeous. The beautiful chandeliers and decor and huge dance floor was a dream come true. The big bonus was the outside terrace. I highly recommend choosing Statler City for your special events.

My husband and I just had a wedding at Statler City in the Golden Ballroom. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. My grandfather was ill and we required to spend more time with picures than expected to travel and see him. This required us to start the reception late. We were still able to see the Golden Ballroom before any of our guests were let in and it was beautiful. We were greeted with open arms as soon as we arrived. Since we missed cocktail hour Caitlin brought us a tray to sample the appetizers which were amazing!!! Our guests LOVED the food and so did we. Jamie was helpful and made sure that we were able to provide our guests vegan food so that they could eat as well. We had a reception of about 150 -160 people and we fit in the space perfectly by adding more tables and adding less people per table. The staff at Statler made us feel wonderful the whole time made our day amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better reception!

Our daughter’s wedding at the Statler on July, 22, 2017 was nothing short of spectacular. The venue is just beautiful and when set up and decorated is so elegant.
Jamie was an absolute pleasure to work with - a true professional. We appreciated her input and guidance throughout the planning process. She was flexible, accommodating, and responsive and made sure our daughter’s day was perfect. The servers and bartenders and our Captain, Angelo, were awesome – always attentive to our guests needs. And then the food – wow! Our passed hors d'oeuvre were plentiful and tasty. Our duet of filet and chicken wellington were done to perfection and were served piping hot. Our guests have all commented on how wonderful the event was.
We cannot say enough about our experience at the Statler and would highly recommend it!!

My husband and I got married July 15 in the Golden Ball Room. We had the wedding of our dreams. We initially were working with Colleen who went out on materinity leave and we absolutely loved her. We then worked with Jamie and Caitlin who also were amazing. The guest raved about the food, expierence, lobby bar, location, ect. This was the perfect place and in my opinion the best place in Buffalo to have a wedding. You do not need to worry at all because the managers at the Statler make sure everything runs smooth and according to plan. Would suggest this place to anyone. Want to redo our day so we can do it again!

I wish I did not waste so much time worrying about my daughter's wedding. There was no reason to when working with Jamie at the Statler. She had everything under control! The food, service, beauty of the Statler was perfection. Jamie made our experience at the Statler one of my favorite evenings of our lives. I can't say enough about my daughter's and son-in-law's reception on June 3 at Statler City! The reception was in the Golden Ballroom and everything was absolutely wonderful! Jamie was in charge, and she really knows what she is doing and how to throw the perfect reception!
From the time we walked in, and until the very end of the reception, the staff worked so hard. I had so many people come up to me and tell me how delicious the food was. The filet mignon and sea bass were unbelievable. I also heard from guests that the vegetable risotto was wonderful too. Thank you too all, especially Jamie....the Statler is lucky to have you, for making the day so perfect for the bride, the groom, and the family and friends who celebrated this special day with them!

Where do I begin? There are so many amazing things to say about our Statler City wedding experience!! My husband and I looked at several venues in the Buffalo, NY area and Statler City won our hearts from the very first visit. The venue makes a statement from the moment you walk through the glass doors. The chandeliers are breathtaking, the architecture is amazing, and the decor is timeless and elegant. We began our wedding planning journey with Colleen and experienced a seamless transition to working with Jamie when Colleen went on maternity leave. Both women are extremely gifted in their profession. Attention to detail, thorough, caring, patient, communicative, reachable, focused...these are just a few things to describe what I experienced while working with them. Not only were they present through the planning process, Jamie conducted our wedding rehearsal and ensured that our wedding day ran perfectly. She was thorough and helpful; one of our wedding guests reached out to me after our wedding for the contact information for our wedding planner. We did not hire a wedding planner; she was referring to Jamie! When you chose the Statler, you are truly getting the best!

Now to our wedding day! We had our wedding on the mezzanine and our ceremony in the Grand Ballroom. The spaces are classic and looked amazing in our photos. What is most important to guests at a wedding? The food of course! It was AMAZING! Our guests are still raving about the food and we had multiple people tell us it is the best food that they ever had at a wedding. We had a few food options that were all mouth- watering, but the chicken breast and the potatoes were simply divine!! If we had to go back in time and chose a wedding venue again, we would, without a doubt, have our wedding at the Statler. I cannot imagine working with another staff or having another venue for our guests to enjoy! Statler City is truly in a class of its own. Special thank you to Colleen and Jamie!!

On May 21, 2017 we celebrated our son's wedding at Statler City in Buffalo New York. This opulent landmark offers breathtaking Grand and Terrace Ballrooms draped in mammoth luxurious crystal chandeliers in a newly renovated 1920's classic aristocratic ambiance. The second level mezzanine offered comfortable seating for our 200 guests to share in the wedding ceremony. The mezzanine overlooked the arresting Mediterranean foyer accompanied with gigantic Greek statues and water fountains which created a very inviting atmosphere. This well crafted venue exceeded our expectations, without question. But far beyond the beauty of the venue was the professional excellence of the event planning staff at Statler City. As an event planner and the mother of the groom, I was consistently impressed with the level of detail provided to help organize the wedding and the reception and not one detail was missed. Colleen Fretthold, Catering Manager and Jamie Ferrone, General Manager extensive experience made my job in coordinating the wedding seamless and effortless. She always shared creative ideas and kept me on track with my vision. Her staff was quick to offer help at any given point during the day of the celebration and made our guests feel honored and respected. I truly believe that a venue is only as good as its management, and that impeccable quality customer service is what keeps you in business!
We would be remised if we didn’t comment on the quality of the food provided during the reception. Every aspect of the food service from the hors d’oeuvres to the options in the buffet was pleasing to the pallet. All of the guests commented on the quality and taste of the food. This is often a short coming with many venues, but again Statler City receives a 10 out of 10 on exceeding our expectations. Even days after the event, our guests were still commenting on the beauty of the venue and the exceptional food they were served. We highly recommend Statler City!!

We cannot say enough about working with Statler City!! From start to finish, everything was perfection. We had our reception in the Terrace Room and wouldn't have had it any other way. So many guests commented about how amazing the venue was, the service, and most especially Chef Mike's delicious food! We had countless guests tell us the crab cakes were the best they ever had and all the entrees were out of this world. During the wedding itself, Angelo and Jamie were so incredibly attentive to our every need and made sure we had plenty to eat and drink! Our entire head table commented that they were spoiled by the servers and Angelo throughout the night.

I was fortunate enough to work with both Colleen and Jamie! Colleen left for maternity leave right before my wedding and Jamie easily picked back up where she left off. I not once had to catch Jamie up to speed. Both Colleen and Jamie were so responsive, flexible, and incredibly kind. They answered any questions I had and gave me advice when I needed it.

This is the most beautiful venue, and the perfect place for a wedding! My husband and I could not have been happier with having our wedding at the Statler. The food was great, the service was outstanding and our guests could not have been happier! I would definitely recommend them and plan on coming back for my next wedding! (Kidding!)

As a picky father or the bride i could not be happier. Starting with the initial meeting, through the food tasting and selection, to the last dance the entire team was Awesome. They offered great advice during the planning stages, they were patient and informative through the entire process. During the wedding and the reception we had great, great, great service. The Statler team did a great job coordinating all of the entire team including photographers, DJ, Harpists, Cake bakery. All of that and a beautiful venue that got compliments all night long from our guests. I would not change a thing. Colleen the Wedding Planner gets 6 stars if i could do it.

I can not say enough about our experience that we had in planning, executing and enjoying our wedding here! Everything was perfect! Colleen was our wedding planner and worked with us to get food and drink menu perfect!

My husband and I got married here 2/25/17 followed by our reception. We had about 200 people. The ceremony area up on the balcony was beautiful. We were in the Terrace Room and had cocktails in the open area in front of the room. It was all amazing. Our family and friends raved about the whole thing - The place is gorgeous and elegant, the food is amazing and the service is first class....I can not recommend a venue more for any type of event....absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

Definitely book the venue if you can! I had my first meeting with Dan Shiparo and then once I was ready to book I was assigned Jamie! Everyone at the venue is very professional. Our personalities (Jamie and I) worked great together! I felt like we were on the same wave length since the first sit down. They were very accommodating with the set up of the wedding. They are very professional and usually ask the questions before you (as the bride) even think that you needed to ask that specific detail. We had rented the Niagara Room for our Great Gatsby/ Roaring 20's reception... but it was more of a party! We had a live band, that we had approved as they were not on the preferred vendor listing. Jamie was very forgiving that my band was very new to the wedding business and she was there and walked them through all of the necessary cues that they missed (introducing the wedding party, cake cutting, maid of honor and best man speech...) It was all under control b/c Jamie went above and beyond her duties as our event coordinator. I thank her and the amazing staff that was there that night (12.23.2016), and could not recommend this venue enough!!!!!

We had our wedding in the Golden Ballroom and the atmosphere was spectacular. The food was amazing! the BEST filet I've ever had at a wedding and the hand passed appetizers we chose were delicious; Jamie brought us a plate of them during cocktail hour- she did an excellent job of organizing everything.

My husband and I had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Statler City! From the moment we had a consult with Colleen we knew this was the perfect venue for our December wedding. Our reception was held in the Terrace Room and everything looked phenomenal. The room is beautiful without decorations, but looked like the dream wedding I envisioned when our big day came. We worked with Colleen throughout the planning process and she was such a pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions in a timely manor, was full of ideas, helped coordinate vendor deliveries, and made the planning process enjoyable. Colleen helped us modify our menu to include additional courses and came up with a late night coffee bar. Our guests loved the food! Colleen was on top of everything throughout the night and made sure it ran smoothly which was a huge stress reliever and allowed us to really enjoy the night. The staff and servers are incredibly attentive and constantly checking in. My husband and I had a magical night! We would definitely recommend the Stater to any couple. Thank you Statler City and Colleen for making our big day one we will never forget.

My husband and I got married on October 29th, 2016. The Statler was the first and last venue I looked at! My husband and I chose the Terrace Room and were so impressed by the organization and planning process. Jamie Ferrone walked us through from start to finish. The actual wedding was a huge success with exceptional service and professionalism! I honestly didn't worry about a thing and knew I was in good hands. Our guests are still raving about how much they enjoyed celebrating with us. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff went above and beyond to get every detail and then some right! I can not say enough about the Statler and would highly recommend them with absolutely NO reservations whatsoever.

The Statler is a beautiful venue and perfect for my Great Gatsby themed wedding. I had the most beautiful ceremony and reception and my pictures were everything I wanted them to be and more thanks in part to the gorgeous venue.

I worked with Jamie to plan my wedding and couldn't have asked for a better experience. She really made the planning process enjoyable and I felt little to no stress about my big day. From the initial meeting to the tasting and everything in between, Jamie made my day perfect. I absolutely loved my wedding!

I was checked on all night to make sure everything was going the way I wanted. The staff were courteous and friendly. My guests raved about the food. If there was an issue, Jamie was there to take care of it. I could not have asked for a more perfect day!
