We wish we can re do our wedding day because it was so fun and beautiful! We loved our venue so much! It is so elegant without any decor! It is both modern and historic. Perfect for what we envisioned- modern yet classic with a black and white theme. Our guests were in awe of our venue. It is in a perfect location for downtown Detroit. Our guests were able to walk less than 2 blocks from the Westin Hotel. Parking is also less than a block away. You can also arrange for vallet. From contacting the venue to tour it, to the day of our wedding, the staff was super responsive and very patient and kind to work with! Very accommodating!! Our venue Coordinator, Bitzy, went above and beyond! Super responsive- even on weekends! She was extremely patient when working with not only me, the bride, but also my parents who just wanted to make sure everything was perfect!! We can’t thank Bitzy enough!! If we could get married again, we wouldn’t change a thing! Loved our venue and venue coordinator! -

Dream Wedding
We had the most magical wedding day, and so much of that was thanks to the incredible team at Bedrock Events at State Savings Bank in Detroit. From the moment we first toured the venue to the final moments of our celebration, their service and attention to detail were beyond exceptional.
The venue is stunning, the staff is top-notch, and their level of service is unmatched. They helped us create a day that was not only beautiful but stress-free, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our dream day!
We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at State Savings Bank. This team is so professional and so easy to communicate with. From the first day touring the space to walking in for our reception - we always felt cared for. Connar helped us with setting up our date and for our event we worked with Brittany. - they were both superb! I hope I can be a guest here one day so I can experience it all again. -

My husband and I got married in April 2023 and had the most AMAZING experience with Bedrock Events at the Detroit State Savings Bank. The space was elegant, timeless and just downright STUNNING. We couldn't stop comparing all the other venues to this one and ultimately just had to choose it and we are so glad we did. It is beautiful just as it is so all we had to do was add some uplighting and centerpieces and we were set with decor. The layout couldn't have been better with a space for cocktail hour in the front and reception in the back. We had about 250 guests and had plenty of space for everything to sit along with a good size dance floor and stage for the band. Brittany and Lauren were so helpful. From multiple walk throughs to layout questions to bar/alcohol advice, they were always available for questions big and small. My family is STILL talking about how gorgeous of a space this was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! -

So Grateful for this Team!
My husband and I had our wedding at the State Saving Bank in April 2023, but we started our journey with the Bedrock team all the way back in March 2019. We toured every venue in the city looking for the perfect fit for our wedding. By the time we got to Lauren Jacks, we were losing hope that we’d be able to find the right space. She took us to see several properties and worked tirelessly to answer all our questions. When we saw the State Savings Bank, we knew we had found our dream venue. We left feeling a massive weight lifted. Lauren was absolutely wonderful through the entire process. She made every decision easier and bent over backwards to accommodate us. At this time, I had been working as an event planner for over 7 years and can wholeheartedly say that I had never encountered a more knowledgeable and thorough venue coordinator. Her positive energy made such a huge difference during a stressful process. As our original wedding date was set for July 2020, we had to cancel and reschedule twice due to the pandemic. Lauren helped us feel at ease about our contract and worked diligently to secure our dates.
One month out from our rescheduled wedding date, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were understandably terrified and reeling from the unexpected news. It was a terribly difficult time. Naturally, we decided to prioritize treatment and postpone the wedding until after I had healed from surgery. Lauren didn’t hesitate. She assured us we didn’t need to worry about the contract or locking in a new date or penalty fees. She let us know that when we were ready, they’d be there. We felt so supported and it made a difficult decision much easier.
When we were finally (and thankfully) in a place to reschedule, Lauren jumped right in helping to put all the details back together. At the time, they were thinking of selling the venue, limiting the dates available. She went to bat for us to make sure we were able to secure a date. She was with us every step of the way, giving incredible insight on everything from bar service to décor. She was such a bright spot in this process.
The venue speaks for itself. It’s stunning and unique. There’s truly nothing like it in the city and we received countless compliments about it. It was a gorgeous backdrop to a long-awaited day. I could go on and on about the space and details. But honestly the best recommendation I can give to anyone planning a wedding or event is to consider the people you’ll be working with. You never know what the journey is going to look like and you want to be certain you have the right people by your side. There is truly no team better than this one. I still think back and can’t believe how lucky we were to find this space and work with Lauren. It’s something we’ll always be grateful for. -

Everything about this place was great. The team (shoutout Lauren Jacks) could have exceeded our expectation's expectations if needed. The venue turned out to be even more perfect than we anticipated. Because you know, you do the walk throughs and you map it out but you never really know what its going to be like until the day but I'm happy to report the day was *chef's kiss*! If you're thinking to yourself "well yea, you probably had an easy road to get there and everything was just oh so perfect so of course it was great", no, no. We had quite the journey, with 4 date changes over 4 years due to health stuff (shoutout doctors and health care workers for being great at what you do) which of course means a bunch of changes because a lot changes in 4 years! Luckily, State Savings Bank/Bedrock were incredibly understanding and helpful through everything. Like every step of the way, not even a hint of a let down at any point. It was astonishing. Whatever type of wedding you're looking for, whatever vendors you want to bring in, they will take care of you and make it all feel and look so easy. 10/10 would recommend. -

The State Savings Bank is a stunning venue - our guests were wowed. Connie with the Bedrock team was wonderful to work with, especially considering that we went back and forth for months on whether to move forward with the wedding due to COVID. Once we finally pulled the trigger, everything came together seamlessly. We wish we could do it all over again! -

The perfect venue!
This is the most beautiful venue ever! We knew from the second we saw it that it was where we wanted to be married and have our celebration. Lyn Gleasure was incredible to work with. She answered every question and concern that we had and was super knowledgeable. Our wedding was postponed due to Covid and Lyn was really great about keeping us posted on the latest details and restrictions. Leading up to the wedding she also helped us talk through the day with our other vendors to iron out details. She made this process so easy and really put care into everything. I would hands down do it all over again! -

Event Planner
I coordinated one of the first weddings at the State Savings Bank. My clients and I were so excited to see what magic we could create in such a beautiful space. Working with the team at Bedrock was such a pleasure. We worked closely with Liz Joritz and she was so knowledgable, flexible and communicative- it made planning an absolute pleasure. Even though the venue was new, Liz made sure we knew all the quirky ins and outs necessary to navigate such a unique space in a busy downtown area. The buildout of the space is an absolute dream - marble floors, sweeping ceilings, a gorgeous example of neo-classical architecture and the original bank vault as your centerpiece! I always recommend the space to my clients as a wonderful option to accommodate a wide array of guest counts. This is one of my favorite spots in the city! -

Wonderful experience at SSB!
The SSB is an amazing venue and the experience from first walk through to day-of even execution could not have been better. This space is beyond stunning, but its blank slate welcomes creativity. The team at Bedrock Detroit could not have been better to work with! Connie was super responsive to all my questions, no matter how many I asked, and provided great suggestions for our layout without overstepping. I would 100% throw another event here! -

Choosing the State Savings Bank building was the best decision for our wedding. Our guests were blown away right when they walked in the door. We had so many compliments on how unique our wedding venue was, not your typical reception hall!! Danielle, our event coordinator, was extremely helpful every step of the way during our wedding planning. She had recommended wonderful local vendors and helped coordinate the vendors at the venue on the day of. Danielle made sure all the vendors were taken care of, had what they needed, and were on time. We were so stress-free on our wedding day and cannot thank Danielle and her team enough for helping us create our dream wedding at the State Savings Bank Building. It was a night we will never forget! -

The State Savings Bank was the venue of our dreams. It is absolutely beautiful on its own, however, it is completely customizable to fit your vision and vibe because you have to bring everything in yourself. In doing so, we were able to bring our exact vision to life. Lauren J on the Bedrock events team was so helpful in answering questions about venue logistics. On the day of our wedding, she never left our side and made sure we had everything we needed from a damp cloth to our favorite beverages. Most of our guests said they had never been to this venue before and couldn’t stop boasting about how beautiful the space was. We held both our ceremony and reception here and there was plenty of room for both. I can’t recommend this venue enough! -
