We cannot overstate how much we appreciate how great of a job Jimmy Davenport did as our DJ. Starting from the very first phone call where we decided to hire him, we could tell he was a consummate professional with years of experience. Jimmy's meticulous approach to planning every musical detail of our ceremony and reception helped make what should be an incredibly stressful process much easier. He showed up prepared for anything, and when unexpected changes arose on the wedding day he was flexible and able to keep things on track anyways. Michael gave us our dream wedding dance floor

DJ Michael was phenomenal! He was easy to work with and understood our vision for the vibe and ambiance we wanted for the night from our dinner music, to photo dash, and dance floor. He had fantastic song transitions and gave us the best dance floor we could have imagined. We received so many compliments from our guests of our song list and the dance floor was very alive all night. We could not be any happier!

Don't look any further, book with Starz!!!

We could not be any happier with our choice to go with Jimmy at Starz! Jimmy is so much more than just a DJ. He is a true wedding professional that kept our day running seamlessly from start to finish. We didn't give Jimmy a lot to work with as far as songs. He listened to what we wanted our vibe to be, and we still have not heard the end of how much our guests loved all of the song choices. He will be an absolute hit with everyone, from flower girls to grandparents. He also went above and beyond to assist with projection, uplighting, microphones, etc. Jimmy, thank you for everything!!!

Starz Entertainment was the best wedding DJ we could have had! They were communicative, provided very detailed instructions, and made our day incredible. Our DJ Michael Mendola was the most helpful, fun, incredible, and attentive DJ. He made our wedding so fun, really put thought and effort into the announcements and the music, and he played all of our favorite songs. He was so incredible. Seriously the best ever!

Jimmy was amazing! He helped merge 2 songs for my bridal processional in no time and it turned out amazing and just what I wanted!!! He was organized, fun, and really made the night one of a kind for us. We are so glad we had you there to make our wedding day go so smoothly. It was absolutely perfect! Entertainment All Night

Anything you need this is you Dj. From cold sparklers to uplighting and all around entertainment. He even was able to provide clip mic’s for officiant and Groom. 10/10 recommendation. Jimmy did an amazing job! His music website made it easy to organized music and events. The whole days of events flowed wonderfully with one another and all the guests love him. Could not have done this with out him. Made wedding planning that much easier.

DJ Matthew is the best DJ in Arziona!

We hired Starz Entertainment for our wedding. Jimmy connected us with DJ Matthew Bolt. We have seen him at a dozen events in Arizona. From corporate to weddings to mitzvahs and giant concerts. We had problems with the wedding planner and venue coordinator. They don't seem to understand that the client comes first. DJ Matthew always fought for what we wanted even if it made him look like the bad guy to the other vendors. He's a true professional that fights for you. He cares like no other about making sure we where happy and getting what we wanted. He fought to keep the party moving smoothly. He walked around and asked for upbeat dance request from all our guest. He played our request and the guest request. The mix of music was amazing and everyone was on the dance floor and least once. Guest that we thought wouldn't dance did. The timeline that he made for us was so amazing. Starz has an online event planner that makes planning your day easy and smooth. We knew we hired the right DJ at the end of the night when guest where telling us it was the best wedding they have been to. They couldn't stop talking about the DJ. We will continue to hire Starz and DJ Matthew Bolt for future events.

THE BEST hands down!

A DJ is one of the most important parts of a wedding, they literally set the vibe of the event. To say Jimmy was an amazing DJ would be an understatement, I could not have asked for more! To add to that, he’s a really fun, incredibly nice guy with some hilarious stories and anecdotes. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable when it comes to music – he literally knew every song we suggested and some were pretty obscure – he is knowledgeable when it comes to weddings. It truly was like having a second wedding planner and not just a DJ. He helped me with the entire timing and flow of the day/night which was incredible as I had no idea what I was doing. He also captured some fantastic videos of our procession, first dances and open dancing. I cannot thank him enough for getting footage of my brother doing the Macarena, Jimmy caught all of the important moments of my day. He had my back at every turn and facilitated all of my asks to ensure that my special day was more than special – it was exactly what I dreamed of. Please hire this man, you won’t regret it!

Worth every penny

We recently hired Starz and worked with Jimmy at first. He was very responsive and assigned us DJ Bobby Bruno for our wedding at Encanterra. Bobby completely went above and beyond. We received so many compliments about how great the music was. He completely vibed with our guests and even came out to dance. He really made our wedding. Words can’t express how grateful we are. We plan to use him over and over again as our family adores him. We purchased a package that had a monogram and uplighting as well. It was such a nice touch and we’re so happy they had it as the ballroom we were in desperately needed some life to it. We absolutely would recommend!

There's literally no one better than Jimmy and Starz Entertainment! We hired Jimmy to be our wedding DJ and Emcee after attending and being so impressed at another wedding he did. Jimmy was incredibly professional, communicative and far exceeded my expectations. We had multiple calls with him to make sure we were all on the same page for our wedding's order of events. He even met me on site at our venue for an in person walk through a few months out, and again for our rehearsal to ensure everything would be perfect for our big day! Jimmy knows how to not only get a party started, but keep the party going. I had one hope for our wedding day and that was for everyone to dance...our dance floor was packed from start to finish, and we're still having people tell us it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to! Look no further, you’ve found your DJ! Jimmy provided services for our wedding ceremony and reception and absolutely hit it out of the park. Great Time!

Brought the Party

We initially met with Jimmy and really connected with his personality. He was very knowledgeable and professional and matched us with Matthew Bolt for our DJ. Matthew was awesome!!! It was really important to me that my brother be able to perform the song for our first dance. He made it super easy for that to happen. I also had my dad record a song prior to our event and Matthew was awesome at helping us incorporate that into our day. He was able to translate our personalities into the party and made our reception so special!

You just found your wedding DJ!

Jimmy from Starz Entertainment was an absolute dream of a DJ! From our first conversation, he was very fun, professional and accommodating. My partner and I were overjoyed that we were able to book him for our wedding!

During the planning process, he was extremely positive and responsive. He was also very excited about our music choices, which made us feel like we had good taste! He even helped craft the flow of events for our special day to ensure that everything would move smoothly.

On the day of the wedding, the audio for the entire event was perfect! No issues whatsoever. At the reception, Jimmy and his assistant Michael did a great job mixing the music to keep the dancefloor bumpin’. Our guests were having so much fun that there was a mosh pit for Mr. Brightside. LOL.

At the end of the night, the guests exited the dance hall to go outside to prepare for our sparkler exit . It was during this time that Jimmy hosted a private dance for us, the bride & groom. It was very special to share a song, just the two of us. This was such a nice touch and created a memory we will have for a very long time.

Overall, Jimmy truly made our night unforgettable, and we cannot emphasize enough how professional, upbeat & kind he was! Our guests were very impressed. As the Bride & Groom, Jimmy truly made us feel SO comfortable and confident that we were going to have the best night of our life – & surely enough, we did! We can’t recommend Jimmy & Starz Entertainment enough!

Non-Stop Party!

My husband found Starz Entertainment and I'm so glad he did!! Booking with them and getting paired with Brent was the BEST and our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without him. Jimmy was awesome from day 1 of contacting him to the last moments of seeing him at the wedding venue. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He kept our wedding vision in mind every step of the way. His co-worker, Michael, was also very kind and professional. Great voices by the way! He has a very organized plan of events for the day of the wedding as well as an organized website that every couple can customize. He's got a HUGE selection of songs, and if he doesn't have it, he'll make sure he gets it for you. He was worth every penny and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ. Brings the party

Jimmy, wow, I don't have enough words to make this review! Jimmy was AMAZING! We had a hard time finding a DJ we meshed with perfectly, between personality, character, professionalism, budget, etc, we really wanted the perfect fit to make our night go smoothly. We finally found Jimmy, and he totally delivered! He was extremely fun to work with that we actually really looked forward to our planning calls with him! He is so energetic and professional that we are so grateful he was a part of our big day. We ran slightly behind of schedule during our reception (because I was caught up talking to our guests during dinner lol), but Jimmy was super accommodating and gave us that loving nudge that got us back on track for the rest of the night! We played a short fun game, called the shoe game, which was small but added a unique fun moment to the reception. Our guests loved him and the music he played. We jammed all night!

The Starz team exceeded all expectations. We worked directly with the owner, Jimmy. He was responsive & customer service was top-notch. Highly Recommend!

We had the BEST experience with Jimmy! We met several times leading up to our wedding, so Jimmy knew exactly what we were looking for and made us feel so comfortable going into the big day. The day of, everything went SO smoothly and Jimmy kept us all on schedule perfectly. The dance floor was filled the entire night and every song kept the party going. Wedding DJ

Jimmy was our DJ and he did an amazing job!! Right from the moment we agreed to hire him he began planning our wedding night and insured that it would be exactly what we wanted. The most incredible DJ and team. Your party will not stop and they will go above and beyond your expectations

Where to start, Brent went above and beyond anything I could have ever asked for . He kept the party going from the moment he was setting up. He was wonderful to work with and our guests cannot stop raving about him and how awesome he was. Plus the light up shoes and gloves where amazing!!! The room looked so incredible with the up lights and then turned into this crazy party once dancing turned on. Brent is a friend for life and we are so blessed and thankful he was apart of our special day. He was a 100000/10 and would recommend him 1,000 times over again. From the moment we booked with Starz we sorted out every single detail , plus Brent also had to work to incorporate our saxaophone player. He was more than accommodating plus all our guests thought they were a packaged set and thought they had been working together for years because they were so in sync the entire time!! Again, if your booking Starz ask for Brent . He will never stop the party , he is amazing amazing MC and a wonderful friend. He cares about your event and will make sure everything is perfect. Honestly our dance floor was never empty. Guests where having to good of a time to leave the dance floor because every song was perfect . Jimmy, Brent and the entire Starz team is amazing and will work to make your entire vision come to life plus give you amazing advice on how to make it the best event ever for you and your guests.

Jimmy was super easy to work with throughout the planning process and was always responsive to our questions. It was super easy to coordinate all the music we wanted. HIGHLY Recommend Brent Owens & Starz Entertainment!!

I am so thankful that we hired Starz Entertainment to DJ our wedding reception! Our wedding was originally on 9/26/20 and we had to reschedule it due to COVID-19 for 4/24/21. Jimmy (the owner) made rescheduling our new date as easy as possible! Brent Owens was the DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely AMAZING. He ensured that everything was perfect and I've had numerous guests tell me that our wedding was the most fun wedding that they've ever attended. He made sure every little detail was absolutely perfect and we were so grateful that he was on our wedding team. We needed to use projectors for a slideshow during the reception and Brent made sure the video ran smoothly beforehand and tweaked things so that executed everything flawlessly. Having a great DJ is the key for a fun wedding experience and we couldn't have been happier with Brent. His enthusiasm and contagious energy were incredible and everyone had a great time. From beginning to end, our experience with Brent and Jimmy of Starz Entertainment was fantastic! It is nerve-wracking re-planning a wedding not only during 2020 but also from out-of-state. Our first interaction with Jimmy was calm, straightforward, and informational. It was clear that he has been doing this a while and knows what he is doing. Then we met our DJ, Brent, what an amazing and engaging person. We chatted via video calls several times to build a rapport and for him to learn our music tastes and give us guidance. DJ at wedding

Jimmy was amazing! From the moment that we met him, we knew that he would be our DJ. He is fun, high energy and organized. His communication was great. He made sure to go through every aspect of our timeline multiple times prior to our wedding. The day of, everything was right on time and we didn't need to worry about a thing. EVERYONE had the wedding had a blast. Jimmy definitely knows how to throw a good party. He went with the flow, took song requests from our guests and had a great time along side all of us. Jimmy clearly loves what he does. Thank you Jimmy for making our wedding so easy, fun and memorable!

DJ Bobby Bruno was Amazing!

My husband and I are so happy we decided to go with Bobby to be our DJ for our wedding because he did not disappoint! From the beginning to the end of planning, Bobby was helpful explaining the entire process and understood the vibe we wanted to achieve at our wedding. He completely understood what type of music we wanted and then made his professional suggestions, which really kept the party going. Bobby was great at interacting with the guests and we received multiple compliments on how fun and personable he was. I was having so much fun at our wedding, that I even extended our end time during the reception! Bobby was completely on board and had no problem with staying past the original time we discussed. If you are looking for a fun, outgoing and experienced DJ, then Bobby is your guy!

Amazing, must hire!

Look no more, you found your DJ. The word amazing does not give him enough credit. Everything from the music and entertainment was five stars. He made our guests feel welcome, comfortable, and happy. I was impressed with how he got everyone up and on the dance floor. Guests were raving about how amazing our DJ was; he has great interpersonal skills. Look no further, ask for Bobby B. Jimmy was absolutely amazing! From start of the wedding planning to finish, Jimmy did not disappoint! best DJ service

Honestly the best DJ service I have ever had at a wedding and not just saying that because it was our wedding. I have been to a lot of weddings and our had the most people I have ever seen stay on the dance floor the whole night and was so much fun. We had Matthew Bolt and he was honestly amazing! We didn't give him much direction with trying to cram everything last minute and he was so great I didn't even have to worry about it. He went with the flow and anything we trowed at him. He asked our guests for recommendations and I really enjoyed that because it got all of our guests on the dance floor at some point and some DJs are so against taking recommendations and thats frustrating. I had so many family and friends say how amazing the DJ was and honestly it can make or break your wedding but these gust will make it. Their system to set up your wedding with is super easy to use and the owner and all his DJs are amazing! Don't second guess hiring them just do it, trust me they're worth it! Thank you so much Starz entertainment it was an amazing night!

Best DJ in town!

We were married on 11/8/20. We were lucky enough to have both Brent and Jimmy DJ for us at the Secret Garden Event Center. Getting married in the year 2020 proved to be very challenging but Jimmy and Brent did not skip a beat. They were both very organized, reassuring and enthusiastic about our day which was very refreshing and comforting. They were highly professional and worked together with our other vendors to ensure the best sound quality possible. They undoubtedly were on top of their game and did everything possible to ensure the day went according to schedule and plan which was important to me. Their energy was contagious and kept everyone from all generations on the dance floor moving. Choosing Starz Entertainment was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding and I can't say enough how happy I am that they were there to celebrate us! You guys are the best! Best DJ Ever!

Jimmy was our DJ for our wedding and he without a doubt was a huge part of why we had such a perfect day. From our very first meeting with Jimmy it was clear how professional, personable, and organized he was. His attention to detail was flawless from getting connected with our vendors and ensuring our schedule ran smoothly to really listening to our vision for our music and making it come to life. I had a particular idea of how I wanted the music in our ceremony to flow and Jimmy executed perfectly. He is clearly an expert and extremely knowledgeable with all types of music as well as the sound systems and microphones. He was a great emcee and our dance floor was definitely a party. He read the crowd really well and is a natural entertainer. Our guests raved about how great he was and how much fun they had! I cannot recommend Jimmy enough and without a doubt would want him to DJ any future event I have! Jimmy worked hard to make our wedding day a success and thanks to him it was absolutely perfect. Best DJ Ever

We were married on 10/24/2020 at Tonto Bar & Grill in Cave Creek. Our Dj, Brent Owens, was a ROCKSTAR. He ensured that everything was perfect and everyone got up and danced their hearts out!

Without Brent, the night would have been incomplete. His energy and enthusiasm are fantastic and he helped make sure that everyone had the time of their lives! Every single one of our wedding guests said how much fun they had. Even people who don't normally dance got on the dance floor.

We are so grateful for Brent and Starz Entertainment and HIGHLY recommend using them for any of your special events!

My wedding was a PARTY!

We were so lucky to have Jimmy as the DJ of our wedding. He was so amazing from the moment we started working with him. Jimmy & Starz Entertainment - 5 Stars

My wife and I got married last June at Villa Siena, and used Jimmy and Starz Entertainment for their DJ Services. Looking back, this was the best decision we made with our wedding. We had a couple meetings with Jimmy beforehand where we went through the schedule and pace of the night, and to see if there was anything specific we should include or not in the ceremony and reception. When it came to the day, Starz was in charge of the microphones and getting everything set-up (as well as working with the videographer to get professional sound in the video), and all of that went off without a hitch. As far as the reception went, Jimmy and his team did a flawless job with the pacing and timing of the event. From the cake cutting to the newlywed game, to the longest couples dance, and finally the dancing, every part felt like the perfect amount of time, and was executed to perfection. When it came time to dance, the floor was packed until they turned the lights on and moved to the sparkler exit. So much of that was down to the song selection and mixing, as they started with older songs while everyone was dancing, then moved to newer songs when it was the younger crowd. We gave them a few songs to play, which were mixed in very well, and the rest they came up with themselves. Overall, having been to multiple weddings, a DJ/MC with good pacing, scheduling, and song selection can make or break a wedding. Jimmy and his team were outstanding, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Perfection!

Our wedding this last weekend was absolutely perfect and we owe a lot of that to our amazing DJ Jimmy. He met with us multiple times throughout the planning process to make sure our timeline and music list was perfect. He helped us to stick to that timeline throughout the evening to ensure everything went smoothly. He completely read the crowd and played amazing music on the dance floor. Everyone one was on the dance floor all night!

Jimmy was amazing! First off as other vendors asked who was our DJ? We answered Jimmy with Starz, they all had the same response, a huge exhale in a sigh of relief. Simply stating OH, GOOD! Of course, with an event as important as your wedding day, we were cautious on all of our decisions, when meeting with Jimmy from the first time we felt instantly comfortable. Not only is he a DJ but a true musician. I was so nervous about song selection and Jimmy made it easy! He has a website with tons of suggestions for each moment of the ceremony and celebration. When we wanted to deviate from the norm in certain places he was supportive and creative! We felt our opinions mattered. Jimmy LISTENS! He also was able to articulate all of the moving parts, get everyone where they were supposed to be in a classy and fun way! All of our guests danced and danced! Everyone had a fabulous time. Wow! What an experience! If you have not had the pleasure of listening to Jimmy D. then you are out of luck! This D.J. is incredible! Not only is he personable, he knows his craft. The best of the best! Brent was outstanding!

Starz Entertainment was recommended to us through our venue. We had a phone call with the owner, Jimmy, and after getting to know us and our music tastes better, Jimmy recommended Brent Owens as our DJ for our wedding. From the very first time we met Brent, he was so easy to work with, personable, professional, and funny! We had numerous meetings with Brent prior to our wedding day to go through our wants/needs, ask questions, and complete the timeline of our day. Brent kept everything (and everyone) on track and on time! He collaborated with our other vendors to ensure the timing of everything was perfect and worked for everyone! He facilitated the entire day flawlessly.

We got so many compliments from our guests stating that Brent was the best DJ they have ever seen!! He kept the energy up all night, balanced my husband and I’s very different tastes in music, and accommodated our guests of all ages. All of our friends (even our grandparents) danced all night and we all had so much fun! Feelin’ Good as Hell!

Jimmy and his team lit up our wedding with the music we wanted and the music he played by judging our crowd. Jimmy’s music planning website made loading up and exploring the queue of songs easy. We were able to select the songs we wanted for each dance, walk-in, etc. Starz came with fancy lighting, quality speakers, and the perfect voice for running the show. Jimmy was always on time to our meetings, was easy to stay in contact with, and had some great ideas. Jimmy was ready with wireless mics for the ceremony and didn’t miss a beat at the reception. My wife and I 100% recommend Jimmy and his team to anyone looking to have an upbeat, fun occasion!

Wedding Win

From 10 minutes after I sent the first inquiry to Jimmy to the last song - I knew my experience with Jimmy was unique. The BEST communication - from quick emails and follow ups to his online tools. I was always sure Jimmy was on top - and even a few steps ahead of what I needed to do. SO ENTHUSIASTIC - he seemed to be just as excited about playing at our wedding as we were to have him and I know from experience - keeping the fun going during planning is just as important as keeping it going during the actual wedding - and he is a pro at both. A true MASTER of ceremonies - we had no idea how to run a wedding. Jimmy had so many great ideas on how to make things flow perfectly and - when things in the venue changed last minute due to weather - took care of everything without us having to give it a thought. He kept the event flowing perfectly and the dance floor full all night. Last, one of the TOP comments our guests had was how they LOVED the music. Great Experience!

Booking went great with personalized assistance and service, the DJ reached out for types of music to play, and once set up, knew how to keep the party going, plus he provided the equipment we needed for our presentations (and had some great equipment for tunes and atmosphere). Highly recommend!

Jimmy was incredible. He was to attentive to our style and helped our wedding flow so well. Not only did he sort through all the the playlists I gave him for the different parts of our evening and create a perfect mix of music but he was an amazing MC. All of our guests raved about the well the wedding flowed and how it was so seamless. He is an amazing DJ, he knows his stuff. He created a perfect mashup of music for my dad and I to dance to for our father daughter dance and was so kind and timely if I ever needed it tweaked for our choreography. Brent with Starz Entertainment is the best DJ you could ever ask for!

Dj reviewHonestly we can never say enough good things about Brent Owens from Starz Entertainment. We started the process with the owner of Starz Entertainment Jimmy. He walked us through the process of booking with a dj. Set us up on their client portal, and gave me all the information I could have thought to ask for over the phone and with a couple online articles. When we confirmed we wanted to go through Starz Entertainment, Jimmy told me he booked us with his best dj. He was NOT wrong! From the moment we talked with Brent. Even before we met him we felt comfortable with him, and that our wedding would be great with him as our dj. It was only confirmed that not only is Brent an awesome person, but he’s the dj you want, from our first meeting with him. We had to reroute where we were meeting due to a medical issue. Brent offered to call ahead to a hospital if we were going to one! He hadn’t even met us yet and he was willing to help. We had him come to our home and between the fact that he not only checked to make sure everyone was ok, was extremely professional and didn’t miss a beat with his presentation, but he also instantly loved our German Shepherd! As soon as we told Brent he was definitely our dj. He took us through every step of the way for both event sound details, but also day of flow, and timeline. He claims we made his life easy as our dj, because of how organized we were. Had it not been for his guidance, and the information provided by himself and Jimmy’s client portal, every step of the way. We would have never been able to be so organized. The closer we got to the day the more Brent checked in to make sure we were doing ok. If we had a question he answered it immediately. He even drove out to our rehearsal dinner in Scottsdale the night before our wedding to confirm final details! The day of the wedding Brent was amazing. Not only did he help make sure everything flowed perfectly from people to timeline! He is a truly amazing dj. We had people coming up to us in the middle of our reception telling us he was the best dj ever. That our wedding was the funnest wedding they had been to in awhile, if not the best ever. Brent kept the evening flowing seamlessly from moment to moment, the dance floor hopping, and the energy high! The lighting and monogram he set up in our reception space was beautiful! We told Brent our wedding song and when our dance was timed out too. He nailed the timing of both the song and the fog machine! The confetti machine was a surprise he wanted to add to our reception. According to our guest it made our first dance absolutely magical to watch! He gave a wonderful first responders, teachers, medical personnel, and military thank you tribute to both those individuals and their families. As a family made up of those individuals it was extremely appreciated and well received. When it came time to do the cake cutting. Brent masterfully danced in through the crowd to grab myself/the bride and dance on over to the cake table, where the groom was waiting. We had a surprise for the bouquet and garter toss. Brent actually ran out to the bar to go get the woman I wanted to make sure got the bouquet. Brent even helped corral her boyfriend and the best man was front and center for the garter removal. People were actually telling us how wonderful the room looked with the lights. Our colors were red and blue and our theme was disney fairytale. Well Brent turned the reception hall and evening into a modern day ball. That was fit for any Disney couple’s happily ever after! Let’s put it this way Brent was such an awesome person to work with. That he is now a friend and on our social media friends list!

Always reassuring while planning, and they know how to read a dance floor.

Jimmy was a joy to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly warm throughout and his love for his job was plain as day. It was apparent early on that he has dealt with every concern you could imagine, and was eager to contribute creative ideas such as a newlywed game which he hosted convincingly. The truly standout contribution he made (aside from a wonderful playlist) was an edit he made of The Godfather for my wife's Italian father to create a charming moment between the two of us before the father-daughter dance....he, of course, loved it. I would recommend this man to anyone who needs a DJ for any occasion.

Amazing & Helpful Experience!

Jimmy was very patient to explain everything and I really appreciated his constant email updates and reminders, so it was one less thing to worry about when wedding planning!

DJ Bobby was a rockstar, so helpful, caring and organized when I would randomly tell him more songs or plans that I wanted. He has a great DJ voice and personality to really give energy and excitement to the crowd! On the day of the wedding we had to quickly switch the grandfather dance before dinner and he made it a smooth transition! He also helped give me guidance with planning the schedule and on the day of to suggest things that I would quickly approve so I wouldn't have to worry about it. The example was for my grandfather dance, I wanted to dance with 3 different grandpa's for only 1 minute each so he suggested to bring all 3 up by him at his booth and would tell the next one when to walk on stage to dance with me.

It was completely AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!!

Where do I even begin with this review? Let me start by saying you can NEVER go wrong with using STARZ Entertainment!!! When I first got engaged and begun the process of searching DJs for our wedding, I wasn’t sure I was ever going to find a DJ that met our needs. We had already interviewed six different companies and did not think any of those companies had what we were looking for. I am half Lebanese and incorporating that part of my culture was very important to us. I attended an open house at the Venue we chose (another great find and you can’t go wrong with Deby Gatz at Millennium Hotels, The McCormick Scottsdale) and STARZ Entertainment, owner Jimmy Davenport, was DJ’ing the event. He was full of energy and immediately started playing Arabic music when we were discussing incorporating that part of my culture. He checked off everything on our list of “must-haves” when it came to our event. I was pumped and ready to book with him! I then found out that he was already booked for the date of our wedding and I immediately felt defeated. He promised me that he was sending his BEST guy to stand in his place. HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
Jimmy sent us Brent Owens. Our first meeting was scheduled in the comfort of our home, for one hour. From the moment Brent entered our home there was an instant connection and level of comfort. Brent goes above and beyond any expectation a Bride (and Groom) would ever have. You can immediately get this sense that this man LOVES what he does, and he cares so much for you and ensures you have the most amazing experience. Brent did not spend only one hour with us, he exceeded that and by the time he left us that first day, he was considered family to us. He provided examples of things like how he would announce the bridal party, any games we were going to play, Father-Daughter dance, and even demonstrated what would be a great way to do the garter toss! It instantly took you to the day of the wedding in our minds and we got to envision how it would be.
Fast forward to a few months later, Brent returned to our home and we worked on a play list catered just for us. I have never experienced such great customer service from a company that truly is not required to spend this much time. All the other companies we had interviewed wanted a 30 min meet & greet and then was just going to see us at the wedding…and what…hope for the best? Not STARZ Entertainment…Brent Owens! He made us feel like we were his only customers, yet we know he had plenty more that he was booked with. Not to mention the multiple phone calls leading up to the wedding to ensure everything was perfect….and it was!
Wedding day…the entire day from the wake up call I got from Brent with well wishes for the day, thanking me for allowing him to be part of my amazing day, to the beginning of the ceremony through the very last song of the night, Brent was on-point with everything. He never missed a beat. His energy stayed pumped throughout the 10 hours he was on-site. We even had Wedding Crashers at the reception and when I went up to him mid-song and asked that he make an announcement to the crowd that crashing my wedding was okay ONLY if the couple crashing got out on the dance floor and partied it up with us. I am telling you, every single guest that came up to my husband and I said this was by far the best wedding they had ever attended and that our DJ was incredible and so much more!
I will repeat…you can NEVER go wrong with STARZ Entertainment! Brent is the best that is out there, and you will not regret that decision. He is not a DJ to us…Brent is considered one of the family now. He is beyond amazing and we couldn’t praise him enough. Trust me…go for it and be part of an experience that you will never forget! Amazing DJ for dancing lovers!

Jimmy was fantastic! I could not have asked for a better DJ!

One of my biggest fears for my wedding was that people were not going to dance and everyone would just be kind of standing around (I’ve attended weddings like this and they’re no fun). With Jimmy, that was not the case! He and his team kept the wedding day moving from pre-ceremony music, cocktail hour, all the way to the end of the night. He was energetic, fun, played great music, and kept people wanting to stay on the dance floor. So many of our guests complimented us on how great the DJ was. Jimmy was even super organized leading up to the event. He initiated setting up meetings to review timelines (which was awesome because I didn’t know what I was doing) and he is clearly very experienced and knew what works well and what doesn’t. I could not be more pleased with Starz Entertainment and I would highly, highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed!

Best dj ever

Amazing!!! Initially we really didn't want a DJ because we hired a live band, however Jimmy was the PERFECT addition to our live entertainment. He not only picked the perfect music and fit perfectly with the band, but he is an absolute wealth of knowledge when it comes to all the wedding day of events and the flow of the timeline. He was extremely flexible with meeting times as we are from out of town. He was always available to meet in person or on the phone. We got SO MANY compliments on our music and the energy on the dance floor was all thanks to Jimmy. Thank you Jimmy and Starz Entertainment for making our wedding day stress free and so much fun! Great DJ! No complaints!

Brent did an amazing job creating a mix for our father/daughter dance. He took our vision of how we wanted the night to go and executed it perfectly. Fantastic DJ!!

Bobby Bruno with Starz Entertainment was the DJ for our daughter's wedding. After contacting several local DJ's with high prices and a lack of customer service, we were thrilled to hire Bobby. He met with us in person and had a great energy - we loved him from the start. He continued to stay in high communication during the planning stages (this was very important to us) and made the playlist selection very simple. We provided him with only a little bit of basic information about what the bride and groom listened to. He was able to read them and read the crowd on the spot. The dance floor was packed all night! He was engaged with the crowd and was great at moving things along with our timeline. We would highly recommend Starz Entertainment and Bobby Bruno for any event!!

We were more than happy with Starz Entertainment for our wedding. Jimmy was exceptionally responsive and organized during the planning process. The day of, Jimmy was wonderful keeping our guests entertained. Fantastic DJ/Entertainment Team

Jimmy and Devin were fantastic! We had a small wedding at the Phoenix Zoo and Jimmy was nothing short of awesome! Not only did they play everything we requested, but he did so with a smile! Hire Brent and you won't be disappointed!

We hired Brent with Starz on a recommendation and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. During the planning process, he was incredibly professional and responsive. He met with us before we signed the contract and we were able to discuss what we were looking for and make sure that he fit our wedding and that we melded well together. We met with him again closer to the wedding to plan out the type of music we wanted and specific songs. I know many couples pick the majority of their music but I did not want to do this nor did I have the time (with the exception of the "big songs" - first dance, cake cutting, entrance, etc.) so I put a lot of trust in him picking a great selection... Brent blew it out of the water! Our guests are still commenting on how incredible our wedding was.

He went above and beyond in many different areas. But just one example - he even took group photos of us at the end of the night when our photographers had left for the evening!

Prior to getting married, I do not think we quite realized the importance of the DJ at your wedding. They basically MC your entire reception so I strongly encourage you to take the time to pick a good one. I will save you the time researching - go with Brent and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely Amazing DJ and MC

We got the recommendation of Starz Entertainment through our friends who had an absolutely beautiful wedding with an amazing MC. The MC they had in particular wasn't available on the day of our wedding, but Brent was their recommendation to us and we couldn't be happier that we chose to go with him.

Brent was fun, energetic, and made sure the crowd knew exactly what was going on at any moment throughout our wedding. He was exceptionally wonderful to work with and cleared everything with us first in terms of what kind of an MC we were looking for, and then absolutely blew away our expectations! There were even a few times that he was out dancing with us and keeping the energy going and we have been getting compliments on how great our DJ was since the wedding and can't recommend Brent and Starz Entertainment enough.

Jimmy was amazing from the start of the process to the last dance. He was beyond friendly and easy to work with every time we met him and he was always willing to work with our schedules which was a huge help with us both working full time. Jimmy assisted with everything from song suggestions to creating a timeline, which we provided to all of our other vendors it was so detailed. The online platform was user friendly and made making payments a no hassle process. The DJ that Jimmy brought with him (I can't remember his name for the life of me) to help did an outstanding job in giving us what we asked for. We are big fans of EDM/Dance and hip hop music and the DJ was able to do some great mixing; it felt like you were in a Vegas club (which is exactly what we asked for). Jimmy was an amazing host and made sure to get everyone up and moving, I can't remember a time that the dance floor wasn't packed. We received so many complements from guests about the DJ and music, a few even asked for their contact info for their up coming weddings. He also did the up lighting and a monogram, which I was hesitant if I wanted or not at first, but after seeing it am so happy we went with. The lighting an monogram really transformed the room! Can't recommend Jimmy and his team enough!

We loved Starz. They made it simple and easy to find a DJ that we loved. When contacting them our DJ called us later that same day to set everything up. Chis was the DJ for our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. It is difficult to differentiate between vendors when you are planning a wedding, but what set Chris apart for us was his enthusiasm as well as the pride he takes in his work, which was evident from our first meeting. Chris was willing to set up for our rehearsal to ensure there would be proper sound as we have been to many weddings that had spotty sound during the ceremony. The ceremony itself went off flawlessly, all songs were queued correctly, the microphones picked both of us up during our vows, and the officiant was heard clearly the entire time. Chris was also a great master of ceremony, from the introductions of the bridal party to keeping the dance floor full until the very last song, we didn’t have to worry about a thing and everyone had a great time. Overall, we would definitely recommend hiring Chris as your DJ, he is very professional and accessible throughout the wedding planning process, all the way through the day of!

Jimmy was incredible from the very start. He was the first vendor we met with, and we knew we wanted him after our first meeting. He's been in the business for so long, you can tell he knows what he's doing. I always felt a DJ was incredibly important for the mood of the night, and I'm extremely happy with how our reception turned out. We met twice before the big day and each time, he was organized and professional. He and his team definitely go the extra mile to make things so smoothly. I almost felt like he was a wedding coordinator that day. He gets the names of all your other vendors to coordinate, and I thoroughly appreciated that! Thanks Jimmy and Starz!

Jimmy was our DJ for our wedding on 3/3/18 and he is AWESOME! He’s a breeze to work with. It was always fun chatting with him and he went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered and we were comfortable with the game plan. He kept everyone dancing all night. He even joined in on a few line dances to show us how it’s done :) 100% reccomend
