We recently held a rehearsal dinner there for 80 guests. Everything from the first contact with Emily Frazier, to the advice on meal selection, decor, etc. to cost to correspondence on contracts and seating was prompt, helpful, and professional. It is a beautiful venue but as important are all the staff and the quality of the food. Our guests were very complimentary and Starmount made a special event extra special.

This was my 3rd daughter's wedding at Starmount. I was blown away by the entire experience. The staff is professional, the service excellent and personal. The food was delicious and the Filet melted in your mouth. Everything was perfect. As the mother of the bride, it was wonderful as I had no worries and was able to relax and enjoy the wedding.

Everyone at Starmount was so accommodating and helped make our wedding day beautiful and enjoyable for all!

We are so happy we chose Starmount as a venue. Our guests all had a great time and were well taken care of. The staff is one of kind. Kate & Shelia (receptionists) greeted us with a smile and always made us feel welcomed. Our tasting with Brian (chef) was wonderful. He focused on what we liked and made great recommendation based on that. Everyone loved the food and complimented the service. Emily (sales & catering director) made us feel very comfortable. Even though we had the stress of Hurricane Florence, Emily reassured us that our wedding would not be cancelled. Choosing Starmount as a venue will give you peace of mind.

We have been members of Starmount Country Club for a long time, but have never had the pleasure of throwing such a large party there. Everything from beginning to end was perfect. The staff were friendly, kind and most accommodating. Several guests commented on that. Working with them was a pleasure, from the catering and sales department to the wait staff, to the bartenders and the staff managers - all made it the perfect evening. The bill came today; we thought we got every penny's worth!

Starmount was the perfect reception venue for our May 27th wedding!! The staff are caring, helpful, professional, accommodating and make you feel special! Thank you for making our wonderful day even more wonderful!

TO ALL MY SUPER UNORGANIZED BRIDES! this is the place for you!! I am the first to admit I didn't have a clue as to what I was getting into when planning a wedding but Emily was BEYOND helpful! She did go on maternity leave (woot!) so I was also put in contact with Sarah who was equally as wonderful! Although the price of the food is a little up there if you're having a big wedding (ours was 175) it is TOTALLY worth it. Brad and the kitchen staff helped come up with a custom menu for us of the most delicious pizza and tacos (people are still complimenting the chef). They turn over the room, provide linens, and pretty much do all of the thinking for you if you give them even the SLIGHTEST glimmer of an idea. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue!! LOVE you guys!!

We had excellent service and found a perfect venue at Starmount Forest Country Club. So happy we got to celebrate a perfect evening at this beautiful venue. They offer exceptional service, excellent wedding planning resources, and a beautiful location.

The staff was absolutely incredible, the food amazing, and it was the perfect space for our wedding day. I can't thank the Starmount enough for all they did for us!

We first met with Emily - the catering manager over 1 1/2 years ago. It was a wonderful experience for the entire wedding party. They were so accommodating for the bride - anything she wanted, they accomplished. The wait staff at the rehearsal dinner and reception were outstanding! Could not have ask for a better event. Happily Married!

This review is for Emily. She was an absolute gem to work with. Like all couples, we had tons of questions, but we usually sent them inside huge emails blasted of at 3 AM over the weekend. Emily responded to every one. She was great, and though I never figured out how it happened, she had my favorite beer in the world served at the bar. (My wife swears she didn’t tell her anything.) Highly recommend Starmount for a wedding. We also had our rehearsal dinner here.

Starmount was absolutely the perfect venue for our big day! Alex and I loved every second. The venue is stunning. The staff was fantastic and fun, they were so helpful in making our wedding dreams come true! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!!! Oh, and the food was the best! All of our guests could not stop talking about how good it was. Thank you so much Starmount!!

Our weddimg reception was perfect! Emily was amazing to work with and very patient with us. All the staff was wonderful and took great care if us. Our guest even made comments about how wonderful and accommodating they were. Starmount has the perfect set up for a wedding and I'd recommend them to anyone!

I can't say enough good things about Starmount Forest Country Club! First off, Emily is the BEST and was so accommodating and answered all of my questions. She walked us through the setup and sent us layouts so we knew exactly how the room would be set up. We met with Emily several times and each time was a delight. We also met with the head of the catering, Brad, and he helped set up the perfect menu for our budget. When we went to our tasting, the head chef, Brian, made an incredibly delicious meal and we were FULLY confident in our dinner choices. We even gave him some creative freedoms in how he made the dinner and he did not disappoint. The food at the wedding was excellent -- our guests went back for seconds, and even thirds! They couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was.

And the VERY best part of the wedding was the event coordinator, Nicey. She went above and beyond in helping us make our day seamless. I didn't have to worry about anything in Nicey's hands. She served me and my husband a plate of food so that we didn't have to stand in line, she helped cut the cake, got the kid meals set up, helped clean up, and made the event run SO smoothly. It wouldn't have been the same without her. Everyone in my family ranted and raved about her.

As a bride, I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day... everything was taken care of and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful. My wedding day was perfect because of Starmount Forest Country Club. Thank you for everything!!!

They worked with us very well whenever we needed to make changes. The food was excellent, and everyone loved it. Very accommodating overall!

The reception venue was one of the first 3 vendors I booked (along with ceremony venue and photographer), about 18 months in advance. (I am sure I could have booked it closer to the wedding date; but I was excited and ready to get going!) Emily (the on-site wedding coordinator) took care of SO MANY things for me that made my wedding planning much simpler. She was extremely patient with me and worked on my timeline, and always made me feel welcome to come to her about whatever I had questions about - table arrangements, linen availabilities, and she even showed me the silverware settings! Everything was beautiful, well put together, and executed flawlessly.

Booking with Starmount includes their on-site catering (which was DELICIOUS, all the guests raved over it.) The chef was very nice, and sat with us during our tasting to explain his recommendations, what he could do for different dietary restrictions and children's meals. We offered a buffet, but had the option for plated vegan meals and children's meals - they handled everything flawlessly.

Emily went above and beyond her typical role and was able to accommodate several special touches that our guests kept complimenting, including a DIY sweet tea/lemonade bar. I had only a vague idea of what I wanted, and Emily expertly was able to put together a beautiful spread that wowed everyone.

10/10, would 100% recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married!! You won't be disappointed.

Starmount provided one on one customized service and spent time discussing what we liked and what our needs were. The food was fantastic which was confirmed by ALL of our guests. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent service during the reception, My daughters wedding reception was perfect in all ways and I could not have asked for anything better.

We are having our upcoming wedding at Starmount in September 2016. Emily is wonderful to work with. We chose Starmount because it seemed to fit our wedding theme of classic and timeless elegance. We are so excited to have both our ceremony and reception at this gorgeous venue! We feel like we made the perfect choice!

The staff at Starmount Forest Country Club were easy to work with, flexible and very professional. The food and facilities were exactly what we expected. All of the guests were impressed with how easy the evening flowed. We could not have asked for a more comfortable venue to entertain our friends, family and out of town guests. We were able to celebrate a memory of a lifetime at our daughter's wedding reception! All the renovations are beautiful. The service was spectacular and the food was extraordinary. There was more than ample inviting space. Emily was highly professional and personable. She and the friendly staff attended to all the needs of our guests. We would not have changed a thing.

Starmount did an amazing job with my daughter's wedding reception. People were wonderful and food was out of this world! Better than we could ever imagined!

Our experience with Starmount Forest Country Club was excellent! We had our reception at Starmount, and it is a stunning place to have a wedding! The facilities are all so beautiful, and the chandeliers and mantle add such a beautiful touch to a wedding. Our food tasting with Chef Brian was very fun, and we loved how he created some customized dishes for our reception. Emily was responsive to email and went out of her way to help us with all of our questions. On the day before and day of the wedding, the staff were so helpful, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to make our reception beautiful and seamless. The way they put out some of our reception decor was more beautiful than I had envisioned, and all of the service was so kind and professional. We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the reception was and how delicious the food was. We wouldn't change a thing about having our reception at Starmount.

Starmount is a beautiful venue! We were very happy with the service. I would definitely do another event there.

The club made the wedding a very happy success. The food and drink were wonderful. The staff was five stars plus.

Emily and staff at Starmount are so awesome! We had originally wanted to have our wedding outside on the course but due to weater (hurricane) we had to move it inside. They assured me that it would look just as beautiful and...honestly I think it was so much better inside! Emily walked me through every aspect of the wedding to make sure everything would be perfect and also kept in mind our culture (if we did things differently than the traditional American wedding). We were given access to the entire left wing so getting ready for guys and girls weren't an issue. The staff there were courteous and catered to everything even before the wedding started. This is an awesome venue and definitley an even better value for your money.

If you want a classic elegant wedding at a reasonable cost Starmount is the perfect venue. Emily is a great resource to work with for your special day. She is professional, knows the business and your needs before you and recommends great enhancements for an overall outcome. The staff at Starmount are also wonderful. Working with Starmount Country Club was an absolute pleasure with minimal hiccups along the way. Emily, their day-of-coordinator was the initial reason we chose the space. From the moment we walked in, she provided the low-key, relaxed attitude I was looking for from a venue. Emily has a wealth of knowledge not only about Starmount, but about weddings in general. Email response times can be slow (3-4 days at times), but it is understandable with the amount of things I'm sure Emily is juggling.

The venue itself is gorgeous, located on sprawling greens with plenty of opportunities for good photography. Inside could use a little updating (really just the ladies clubhouse), but overall the atmosphere was great. You cannot beat the space nor the amount of time included in the price.

The rehearsal dinner went pretty smoothly, aside from the event coordinator (not Emily) yelling at one of my guests over a meal-selection-mixup. While this put a slight damper on my view of the venue's professionalism, the servers and bartenders made up for it significantly. Everyone that helped us was very accommodating and setup and cleanup were a breeze.

The day of the wedding was an absolute joy. We were able to get ready at the venue so I brought along some things to make my bridesmaids comfortable. The room we used was attached to the ladies dressing rooms, so during busy seasons it could get a bit crowded. The groomsmen's only complaint was that they were sent into a very small section of their dressing room and were told they needed to make room for "people with memberships". Kind of crappy phrasing, but again...totally understandable.

The wedding went off without any trouble. Our ceremony was beautiful, the decorations and setup we requested were well-executed and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour was a breeze. We are so thankful for Starmount's role in the best night of our lives!

Starmount Forest was wonderful to work with, particularly our main contact Emily Stevens. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. The venue is a beautiful old southern country club with lots of elegance and charm. The food was amazing! We received MANY compliments after the wedding about the food.

I held a Bridal Luncheon for my niece. The whole experience was wonderful from planning to completion. It turned out beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time. The cost was extremely reasonable. I held a similar luncheon for my other niece three years ago at a restaurant in Winston-Salem. The luncheon at Starmount was just as beautiful and enjoyable, but was much more reasonably priced.

As soon as we pulled up to Starmount, we knew it was exactly what we'd been dreaming of in a venue. The stately, white columns and beautifully landscaped grounds were a dream. Emily is a wonderful resource in helping make your vision come to life and she has a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you create your dream day. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and the ambience of the venue. Overall we were very happy choosing Starmount to host our wedding.

Emily Frazier is a real pro....who offered wise advice in setting up the event. Sonja and her wait staff delivered excellent service during both our rehearsal dinner as well as our reception. Definitely recommend these folks / this venue.

This is an absolutely beautiful venue. Simple elegance, both inside and out. Food is wonderful, lovely presentation, and very tasty. Our only minor complaint was that the numbered tables were not in the correct places. We did not have a planner, so I'm sure a planner would have quickly taken care of this issue. Their team also tended to clear plates before guests were quite finished, especially if someone got up to get a drink, dance, or for any other reason.

We had our wedding reception here last month. What a simply beautiful venue! The food was amazing and our guests had a wonderful time. They loved it! The Starmount has multiple rooms aside from their beautiful grand ballroom, so you can have separate space for the cocktail hour and photobooth, etc. Chef Brian is simply the best. Our tasting was amazing and they are very willing to personalize things to your taste. We wanted a very specific signature cocktail and Emily made sure it happened. People loved the cocktail and we got several compliments on it. I thought the price was very reasonable for the high quality of the meal and the staff was very attentive. At one point I got up from my seat and went to the bar with my brother and the staff made a big fuss - they wanted to serve me and not have me go up to the bar myself. We really felt like guests at our own wedding and had a server dedicated to us. My only real complaint is that communication was very slow at times and I had to call on more than one occasion to make sure my emails had been received. Otherwise, gorgeous venue, great staff, delicious food.

Closed buffet line down before everyone was done with lunch, generally over priced. Rents dollar store vases for five dollars a vase. Didn't set the tables up the way we asked them to. They do everything their way, which is finr if you like their way.
