We couldn’t have asked for a better string quartet experience! From the start, communication was fast and professional—they responded quickly and were incredibly easy to work with. They were super flexible with our schedule and even learned a new song especially for our event, which meant so much to us. The performance itself was absolutely stunning—the sound quality was rich, emotional, and truly elevated the entire atmosphere. Our guests are still talking about it. Highly, highly recommend! -

Star String Quartet was absolutely AMAZING!!!
Hektor Qyteti’s “Star String Quartet” performed at our outdoor garden wedding last fall at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, Michigan. They were absolutely incredible and we are so happy with our decision to hire them! Prior to the wedding, Hektor was extremely responsive, kind, upbeat, and helpful, which was wonderful given that we were planning our entire wedding in only 3 months. He was one of the best vendors we worked with, and he made us feel at ease and confident in our choice to hire his group. He thoroughly explained all of our options regarding song selections and helped make the decision-making process easy. On the day of the wedding, the group arrived on time and set up their chairs and instruments on the side of the garden area so quietly and discreetly that we hadn’t even noticed them! Once they started playing, the atmosphere became elegant and felt almost magical! The quartet’s musical performance was outstanding. We requested a few selections for certain parts of the ceremony but for the most part asked them to perform a variety of pieces, and their musical selections were beautiful and perfect for our wedding day! The quartet additionally performed after the ceremony during the cocktail hour and many guests raved about how delightful their music was; some of our guests even said that the quartet was their favorite part of our entire wedding day! As the bride and groom, however, we were so busy taking photos during the cocktail hour that we didn’t get a chance to just sit down and listen to the quartet, and we really wished we could have! Thankfully their music is captured in our wedding video so we can re-live their performance for many years to come. We highly recommend Hektor Qyteti and his Star String Quartet to anyone and we hope to someday have another special event so we can hire them again! -

Hektor and his string quartet were such a core part of my wedding day that my guests and I will truly remember forever! I could not recommend them more. From start to finish, Hektor was communicative, professional, and trusting. Coordinating with him was incredibly easy and smooth, which was such a spot of relief amidst chaotic wedding planning. His quartet delivered the most excellent performances (including of a piece I requested they compose) that helped create the most beautiful ceremony and reception! I also think they offered incredibly reasonable prices for the length of time they played + quality of work. Thank you, Star String Quartet! -

Stunning rendition of “Turning Page”
Star String Quartet did a beautiful job playing at our ceremony and cocktail hour. Their rendition of “Turning Page” enhanced my walk down the aisle with my dad so much - it was truly the most memorable and emotional moment of my life. -

I cannot say enough good things about Hektor and the Star String Quartet! Hektor played violin during my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and I had so many guests tell me how beautiful the violin music was. They were able to play all of my song choices/preferences beautifully including classical and contemporary music. Having violinists play music at my wedding brought such a beautiful and classy feeling to the evening. If you are looking for talented musicians at your wedding, you will not be disappointed with the Star String Quartet! -

Hektor and his musicians were amazing!! They were all so professional and well polished. I have worked with Hektor as a church musician myself and was able to witness his and his musicians’ talents but never was the bride hiring him until my own wedding!! It was even more fabulous being the bride having his quartet play than working side by side with him because it gave me a different view. My brother wrote my processional and recessional piece and Hektor didn’t hesitate to work with us to learn those original pieces to make it that much more special for our wedding. I recommend this group of musicians to anyone looking for strings for their wedding ceremony or reception. You won’t be disappointed! -

We had a trio play at our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Many friends and family said that the live music was so fitting for the romantic little white chapel where our ceremony was held. Since it was live, they were able to adjust the music to suit our wedding party as they walked down the aisle and allow for my grand entrance to be accompanied by the music. In addition, we had two readers in our ceremony who mentioned that the elegant and graceful music helped calm their nerves. I highly recommend live music for the ceremony and even more so recommend Star String Quartet who were responsive and so easy to work with! -

Hektor is amazing. Very responsive and understanding of your budget. So many of my guests complimented the music of the violinist and cellist during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Being the bride, I only got to hear the music at the ceremony, but my now husband expressed the fact that hearing Hektor and his partner play actually helped comfort him prior to me walking down the aisle. If you are hesitant about booking, don't be. You should be more hesitant about not booking because Hektor will have you covered and happy. -

Hektor from SSQ was very responsive and easy to deal with from the moment we booked our wedding until the day of the performance. The quartet showed up on time and had themselves set up so well and were so organized that we may have forgotten they were even there, except for for beautiful music playing during our cocktail hour! Our guests gave so many compliments on the quartet and we 100% recommend SSQ to anyone planning their wedding. We were also very impressed with their reasonable price. -

I can truly say that Hektor is the most beautiful violinist I have heard. He is also very professional, reliable and a pleasure to work with. His playing lit up the entire room, the cellist accompanied him perfectly, and he created the perfect ambiance and feel for what we wanted on our wedding day. Our guests loved his prelude music, and we received so many compliments on how much he added to the beauty of our ceremony, as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to add a special touch to their wedding. -

We hired a violinist & cellist to play at our late October reception because we were afraid it would be too cold during our outdoor ceremony for the instruments, but the day before our wedding, we discovered it was going to be 75 degrees! My groom insisted we call & ask because he thought it would be so magical to have live music in the tall woods we'd be in, and Hektor rearranged their schedule for the next day so that they could play both our ceremony and reception! We are SO grateful Hektor did that. So many of our guests told us how amazing and memorable it was to have the live music during the ceremony. It really made the ceremony a special, unique experience, listening to the beautiful strings as I walked through the trees. They played at the reception as well, and everyone loved that they knew so many modern songs as well as the classics. Their playing was absolutely beautiful, and they were professional and so accommodating. I can't say enough wonderful things about them!

Andrea Sent on 11/28/2016Star String Quartet is incredible. There is nothing like the sound of strings, especially from master musicians like these guys, playing on your wedding day. My dad is a musician and is extremely fussy when it comes to music so there was no question that Hektor and the Star String Quartet were playing at my wedding. They are by far the most professional and best sounding string quartet around. We loved Hektor who is incredibly talented and was amazing in how he worked to help coordinate all our music and was on top of every last detail. Star String Quartet's clarity and sound was so beautiful and the emotion they brought to our mass was absolutely breathtaking. Our family and guests are still talking about it two months later! They were able to play everything from classical to more contemporary songs and their sound just brought such a special emotion to the day that we will never forget, nor will our guest. We also had two soloist sing and a brass quartet and the harmony of everything was just perfection. They played at my brother’s wedding mass in Chicago as well as many other weddings we have been to and they sound consistently exquisite every time. I HIGHLY, highly suggest having this group play at your wedding, they truly are best of the best!
