The easiest decision you'll make

We hired Stacey for our engagement & wedding photos. It was the easiest decision we had to make! She is so kind, easygoing, responsive, and clearly has a passion for what she does. We were so comfortable working with her it was like she wasn't even there ( although we're super glad she was! ) Thank you Stacey from the bottom of our hearts for being more than just a photographer, but a confidence booster, a dress fluffer, a "this is how you dip her" teacher and just a delight to work with from start to finish. Check her out for any of your photography needs, you won't regret it!

Amazing experience!

Stacey was so great to work with. She was knowledgeable, direct, and so easy to work with. My fiance and I have never had professional photos before and Stacey made us feel so comfortable and natural. She was also super great at making sure all the pictures and group shots we wanted we got on day of. Our photos came out truly amazing and I could not recommend her more, I would not have wanted anyone else to photograph our wedding.

Highly recommend!

Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning! Stacey was a joy to work with from our first phone call up to receiving our gorgeous album. She captured every moment and guided us through the little things, like posing for photos, our first look, and cutting the cake. Hope to work with her again in the future!

Amazing Beyond Words

Stacey was phenomenal to work with, from day 1 through our reception months later. We were impressed with her portfolio and after meeting with her to discuss packages knew we wanted to work with her - she made us comfortable and quickly understood our personalities in terms of what would work best for us. Our wedding plans changed 3 times due to COVID restrictions and Stacey could not have been more accommodating or patient throughout. On the wedding day, Stacey took two awkward people (who don't photograph well) and produced photos that I am crazy about. What stood out particularly was the feedback from our guests - everyone had a blast with Stacey and I think that came through in our photographs. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Amazing Photos!

Stacey was great to work with and we would recommend her to everyone. She was able to capture every moment that we wanted, especially my most wanted photo of the groom's first look. Stacey also was able to wrangle our families to get pictures of with of our extended families (no small feat might I add, we both have quite large families). She was continually open to new ideas of pictures I wanted to add, including going into a field of dahlias to take photos, a photo we bow have in our living room. Also she was timely getting the photos back to us, and we had them in time for Christmas presents, which made the whole family happy. I would highly recommend Stacey for any wedding photography needs you may have.

Absolutely Amazing

We absolutely loved working with Stacey. She is professional, experienced and knowledgeable in her craft. We worked with her for both our engagement and wedding photos - and they both came out amazing! She made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Stacey has a great personality, which made working with her easy and fun! We honestly can't thank her enough for such a wonderful experience! Absolutely amazing!

Stacey is absolutely amazing! She is kind, funny and was amazing to work with for our engagement photos and our wedding. Her products were delivered on time and were better than we expected, and we knew they would be great! She worked with us to know what kind of pictures were important to us and know our style. She even hiked through the woods with us for our nature-y engagement session. We included our dog in the session and the ceremony and she was amazing making sure he got in the shots and was posed right (not an easy task) If you want a no stress experience with high quality photographs, albums and keepsakes, hire Stacey!

Most amazing wedding photographer ever!!

Stacey was amazing we loved all of our wedding photos!! Not only was she on time and professional but she was also fun to work with and made us feel comfortable!! Are pictures came out so perfect! Couldn’t be happier with the services she provided for our huge summer wedding!!

Great Experience

Stacey was great from my initial phone call she made me feel totally at ease. She helped my husband and I feel comfortable with having our photo taken despite our original hesitation and awkwardness. I worked night shift at the time and Stacey was accommodating. Her prices were reasonable and the quality of her work was even better than I expected. I would recommend Stacey to anyone!

Stacey was absolutely amazing! From the minute we met, I felt instantly at ease, and knew she was the photographer for me. She was super flexible with what we wanted, and very accommodating. We made a plan for what pictures I definitely wanted in between the ceremony and reception, and kept a list to check off as we went, so we didn’t forget anything. She managed to get a bunch of the little detail shots that I was so stressed out to remember to mention that I wanted for pictures. She kept me on time for pictures, and managed to keep my bridal party in check! Her pictures were timely, and I love her signature of giving the USB drive with a picture on it, and the box with a picture on it as well. You will NEVER regret hiring Stacey. I plan on using her for all of my picture needs! THANK YOU STACEY!!

Our entire experience with Stacey Renee photography, from our initial meeting in person to receiving our wedding package materials after the wedding, was amazing. At our initial meeting she was very professional and had many great recommendations. We felt comfortable with her immediately as she is very personable. During both our engagement shoot and wedding ceremony she had just the right amount of assertiveness to make sure things kept moving and we got all the shots we wanted. She also recommended some great shots that we wouldn’t have otherwise thought of. She was very accessible throughout the process and was was always quick to respond to questions. The photos came out beautifully and several family members commented on how wonderful she was. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and we highly recommend her services.

Stacey is amazing! Both our engagement and wedding photos came out so beautiful- she is so creative and a lot of fun to work with! Stacey went above and beyond on our wedding day. She was so helpful with everything, and she truly played a big role in helping to make sure our day went smoothly. Stacey was wonderful to work with. I had a rather last minute request for her to photograph our simple wedding ceremony at town hall, and she was so accommodating for what we needed, especially on short notice. She was extremely professional. The pictures came out absolutely stunning and were exactly what we wanted- she was able to capture our excitement and happiness that day and everything looked so natural, not a single shot looked stiff or posed. I also want to add that even though our wedding was a somewhat non-traditional, private ceremony on a Wednesday afternoon, the service and quality was no less than that at a larger wedding. She made us feel so special on our wedding day! I would highly recommend Stacey's services.

Stacey is hands down the best vendor I chose for the wedding. She took the most amazing photos and really capture the entire day. She is so easy to work with and made both my husband and I feel so comfortable. She took so incredibly creative photos and gave us so many special pictures that we will treasure forever. Her rates are more than reasonable and after seeing what we have I would have paid double!! 100 times over I would recommend this vendor.

Stacey was an excellent choice to capture our events on our wedding day. She was always responsive and got back to me in a timely manner. Before the ceremony, I wasn't sure if we were going to get the photos we wanted to get in time but Stacey did it! It was nice to know that I didn't have to worry. Once we got the pictures, we loved them!!! And you get all of the pictures on a USB which is so nice. Stacey is a great choice for a wedding and her prices are very reasonable!

Stacey is truly wonderful to work with. She made my engagement session everything I hoped it would be. Her photos are beautifully and perfectly shot. She truly cares about what you want and wants to make sure your satisfied. She is organized, efficient, and professional. She is creative and fun,just an absolute pleasure to work with. Stacey is extremely professional, very well organized and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! The photos from my engagement shoot AND wedding were absolutely stunning. We spoke on a number of occasions to ensure that nothing would be missed on our wedding day and now we have a collection of memories that we'll cherish for years to come. From start to finish Ms. Britner went above and beyond for us. She was always on schedule and exceeded our high expectations in both quality and creativity. My wife and I were, at first, hesitant to take part in an engagement photo session. After further discussion with our photographer we decided to give it a go and couldn't be happier. We will be able to look at those photos for the rest of our lives and remember what we were like when we first met. I would highly recommend using Stacey Britner as photographer of your wedding or any other event you wish to capture.

Stacey took my surprise proposal photos on New Years Eve Day (12/31) in Old Lyme. She was there 30 minutes early and in disguise so my soon-to-be fiance had no idea. After getting the candid shots of me proposing, we did an impromptu engagement shoot right at the beach. Stacey was very professional the whole time and would highly recommend her services.

Stacy is amazing, she's such a sweetheart and she takes beautiful pictures. She's also very quick to get your pictures done, she told me the day of my wedding they would be ready in 6 weeks. 6 weeks to the day she let me know they were ready. I know some brides that had to wait 6 months!!! I would highly recommend Stacy!

I am so glad that my fiance and I made the wise decision to book Stacey Renee Photography for our upcoming wedding. We recently had an engagement shoot and we are thrilled with the results. Our photos came out better than we could have hoped for. In addition to her photographic talent, Stacey is also incredibly patient and accommodating. We wanted to have our shoot at a location that was special to us and Stacey did not balk at the idea of shooting in unknown territory. Instead, she was excited for a new photographic experience and she even took the time to scope out the area prior to the shoot.

My finance and I have two "special needs" dogs who we wanted to include in our pictures. I had mentioned to Stacey that it would be challenging to bring them to the shoot and she offered to make a special trip to our home so that we could have a few photographs with our pups. We are so grateful for Stacey. Her talent for taking incredible pictures and her commitment to giving clients what they want is impressive. We cannot wait for Stacey to capture our big day! We highly recommend Stacey Renee Photography.

My husband and I are SO happy we went with Stacey for our photography. She was so easy-going throughout the whole process and made us feel so comfortable. During the wedding, she made sure we were happy with the way everything was going and was so efficient in taking the pictures. I wanted to enjoy our wedding and she made sure to get through the professional photos quickly enough to allow us to enjoy our wedding (while still taking AMAZING pictures). We got our album quickly and our USB (which is SO beautiful in itself). We would highly recommend her!!

Lazy, opinionated, ruined our wedding photos

Avoid this photographer. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

She took most of the bride-and-groom-during-the-ceremony photos from an angle that completely hid my face. She hid the bride's face!

We did not want to do the veil-covering-bride-and-groom portrait. She said “Trust me.” Well, trust us to know our own tastes - we didn’t like the outcome.

Our photos were taken at Mill on the River, with beautiful fall foliage. She shot all the bride & bridemaid photos looking down at us, so there is zero foliage and lots of muddy water behind us. It ruined the photos.

She also shot all of my husband’s photos with the sun making him look bald. Because of that, he doesn’t like most of his photos - from his own wedding!

We expressly told her we wanted every black and white image to have a color version, because we didn’t like black and white photos. She did not deliver; we had to especially request them.

Here’s the crowning offense:

She stopped us – the bride and groom - in the middle of our reception and asked to leave.

She sounded bored and claimed she was “Getting the same shots over and over.” She wanted to break her own contract and leave early. We said no, since we had followed the contract and paid for the time.

Turns out, there were many wedding guests who never made it into the photos! What were those “same photos over and over,” if she missed so many people? And we only had 40 guests! Only 40, and she missed so many people!

What's more, stopping the bride and groom in the middle of the reception to try and break her contract is *blisteringly unprofessional*.

She also never meets her deadlines. She swore our engagement photos would be with us in two weeks. It was closer to two months. The wedding photos were also delayed, without apology.

Finally, a huge post-wedding hassle:

When she was ordering products for us using wedding photos (what few we actually liked), she called me and insisted that I had chosen the wrong photo for the product. I told her to email me instead, because I knew by now that this woman was slippery and would try to avoid being held accountable.

In multiple emails, I told her exactly what photo I wanted on exactly what product.

She ordered, instead, what she thought would look better, without telling us. The products we received were a complete surprise.

She then argued with me about how “We talked on the phone!” and ignored the written-in-black-and-white emails that proved she had changed what I had ordered.

She only capitulated when my husband emailed her. I guess all my proof wasn’t good enough!

We will try to get a reshoot - with actual fall foliage this time! - on our first anniversary. We will not be seeking Ms. Britner’s help.

Post script – Bride beware, Ms. Britner will rant about her ex husband when you first meet her!

Disappointed

I am not the happiest bride, as what Stacey produced is not the quality and expectations I had hoped and paid for. I hope you can understand that I am really disappointed and feel like I was not treated fairly throughout this process. I wish I had been smarter and not paid you all up front, but I trusted stacey. She had said she was fine going out in the rain, however when it came down to it, she wasnt willing. It's not that the situation was just not good, it was your attitude and the way she treated me, that is what I am most disappointed with. She held pictures from me and was not listening to me on the day of the event and I feel like communication was lost. She was late to arrive, and I understand she got lost, but that is not my fault. She was then scattered the rest of the day. She also did not get any pictures of the ceremony that were good, and that is a HUGE disappointment. She only snapped one of each picture and thought it would work so she moved on, I have never experienced a photographer doing that, as they snap away to make sure they get the pictures they need. Then my family pictures I requested to do outside if it cleared up, but she took that into your own hands and decided that inside was easier, when it was clear outside. She can blame it on my big family but I could have gotten them to listen to me, if she had given me the chance. I thought she took pride in her work, but from our last correspondence it sounds like she was just covering up for all she mistakes and doesnt care. I am just thankful my sister could get some good pictures, from her phone, so I have something. Overall, I feel that I missed out because now I have no pictures that I am happy with. Nothing to remember my perfect day. I wish I had a better experience but to be honest Stacey ruined that for me.
