Perfect and Sweet Officiant

We loved working with Carla! She was the perfect person to marry us! We planned our destination wedding on Saint Simons Island while we were living in San Diego. I’m so happy that I found Carla to perform our ceremony in front of our 150 guests of family and friends at the King and Prince! She personalized our ceremony and truly expressed our essence as a couple! We met a few months before the wedding and that’s when I found out that she has the sweetest personality! She wanted to make sure that I had the wedding ceremony I was envisioning! She has a lot of experience officiating weddings and you can not go wrong booking her!

We did a sunset beach handfasting ceremony with Carla and we absolutely loved her! To begin, Carla helped us create an individualized package for our wants and needs to make sure we were absolutely happy with what we spent and what we received in return. Then, in planning, Carla answered every question we had and made sure everyone was on the same page at every available checkpoint. In addition, we provided Carla with an incomplete idea to what we wanted to include in our ceremony and asked Carla to flesh it out for us, which she did in such an incredible way! She really emphasized our original ideas with her additions and made sure everything we wanted was included in our ceremony. On our wedding day, when the inevitable snags came up, Carla would instantly contact me to make sure I was up to date with the latest progress on our wedding day and reassure me when our mistakes began to affect our wedding plans. She was such a strong support on our wedding day; we would recommend her in an instant to anyone who is looking for a ceremony officiant/planner who goes above and beyond expectations!

Ms. Carla is an -awesome- person and the perfect choice for a wedding officiant and planner. This woman is five stars +!
We live in Southern California and with her help we planned a small wedding in Savanna, Georgia. Everything from: renting the square where we said our vows, to arranging for transportation for all of the guests and even taking care of submitting our wedding license after we said our vows.
Our wedding ceremony was perfect. Even though we were not able to meet Ms. Carla till the day of our ceremony through our phone conversations and e-mails she got to know us as a couple, took our personalities and beliefs into account and tailored a service to fit the two of us.
What can we say other than a sincere “thank you” to an excellent wedding officiant and planner.

There are too many wonderful things to say about Carla! Upon meeting her we knew she was going to be the perfect officiant for our wedding. She took great care to get to know both us well in advance of our wedding - she asked about how we met, what we loved most about one another, and what our future goals were. Carla was eager to make the ceremony fit our families religious backgrounds and personal wishes. Our ceremony was better than I could have ever dreamed of thanks to Carla's attention to detail and genuine desire to make this moment in our lives unforgettable. We highly recommend her and will never forget her.

I was so stressed and stuck trying to plan a wedding on driftwood beach from out of town when I contacted Carla. I had been researching elopements and her name kept coming up positively in review after review so I took a chance. Definitely the right choice! Carla was extremely responsive and professional and it is clear that she truly cares about what she is doing. She connected us with an awesome florist and photographer and customized the ceremony exactly like we wanted. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding planner and/or officiant to work with her! The pricing is very reasonable for all you get and she will make sure your day is very special.

So many times I've been to a wedding, looking forward to the reception AFTER the ceremony... With Carla, you will look forward to the ceremony as much, if not more than, the reception! She made my wedding ceremony personal! I had so many people tell me afterwards how wonderful my ceremony was and I give her credit for that. I highly recommend her if you are looking for an officiant for your wedding! I can't say enough good things about her!

Carla Pryor with St. Simons Elopment is the best! Don't let the name fool you she can plan a wedding for 150 or the bride and groom and anywhere in between. So professional and sweet. Very detailed oriented. This was a destination wedding and she provided us with vendors to choose from and guided us through every step. Carla is a blessing sent from above. You can not go wrong with St. Simons Elopements. I think I will have another daughter just so I can have her plan another wedding. She is awesome

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I didn't have to do a thing and our wedding was unbelievable. If we had an unlimited budget and could afford the best money can buy, we wouldn't have changed a thing...I think that is saying something! Carla Pryor officated our wedding as a part of an elopment package offered by Villas By The Sea on Jekyll Island. My wife and I were very impressed by Rev. Pryor's professionalism and her responsiveness to our requests and concerns. The ceremony she chose was perfect, and she agreed to meet us at a location we chose so that we had the perfect setting for private wedding.

If you are planning a wedding in the Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, or Brunswick area, then you should contact Rev. Pryor. You'll be happy you did.

Carla was very professional and accommodating when it came to planning our wedding. Her ideas and suggestions helped make it a one of a kind event. Planning a destination wedding four hours from home with 60 people attending was not a small task for me, but she made it seem so simple. Also the cost was so very reasonable. Everything was amazing. Carla and Emie were great to work with. Carla was great responding to all of my questions and very quick!! Emie performed our ceremony, was there for our rehearsal and did a fantastic job. This was just a fantastic team and I really wish that I would have got Carla to do my planning as well....it would have been well worth it, especially the last few weeks leading up to our wedding! She was just a great help throughout it all. Emie was just the sweetest person ever. I cannot say enough nice things about Carla Pryor and St. Simons Elopments! I stressed for a long time about where to get married and what type of wedding I wanted. I finally decided on St. Simons, found St. Simons Elopments online, and decided to check it out. I would have been lost without Carla. She took away all my stress and put my mind at ease. She's amazing! All the vendors she recommended were incredible as well. My wedding was absolutely perfect, and I owe Carla a lot of the credit for that. If you need someone to help plan your destination wedding, you'd be foolish to use anyone else! St. Simons Elopments is WELL worth the investment! I couldn't have done any of this without her help. I could go on for days abou how great my experience with her has been, but I won't. Take my advice and use her services for your wedding. She's awesome!

As the mother of the bride, I handled many of the details for my daughter's wedding. We live almost four hours from St. Simons and planning a destination wedding seemed daunting; until we found Carla. She was truly a Godsend. She did such a fanatastic job for us. She was always accessible and made us feel like our wedding was the only one on her calendar, although I know she had another one taking place at the same time. We just couldn't have been more pleased. Emie Heisey who performed the ceremony and Luke Smith from Lone Pine Photography both did an excellent job. Also wonderful were the vendors Carla recommended; Linda from The Flower Basket, guitarist Terry Thrift, Lighthouse Trolley's and Kirk Lourd from Shane's Rib Shack who, when we realized our outdoor reception would be rained out, saved the day by closing his restaurant and letting us have the reception there. Everything worked out perfectly. I HIGHLY encourage anyone thinking of getting married in the St. Simons area to contact Carla. You will not be disappointed.

We called Carla Pryor to discuss eloping to St. Simons Island. We weren't allowing a lot of time, because I knew I couldn't keep it a secret for a long time! All I knew is that we wanted to get married on the top of the lighthouse on 11/11/11. We didn't know colors, flowers, attire or anything else. She helped us plan the perfect ceremony, down to etched champaign flutes and a "sand bucket" chiller that she herself painted our monogram on! We couldn't have been more pleased....Carla was always so cheerful and professional (even when I would change my mind, then change it back). She wanted to meet with us the day before the wedding so she could make it more personal. Every detail was perfect, even the certificate.

Carla was wonderful! Everything was perfect from how she helped us pick the spot and time to her flexibility with our dates changing three times. My flowers were exactly how I pictured them. Carla tailored our ceremony so wonderfully with a reading of two poems by our favorite poet. She was so easy to communicate with either by phone or email with friendly helpful professionalism. Carla helped to decide on reception venue and hotel accommodations as well as the ceremony options. Our photographer Luke from Lone Pine Photography was booked by Mrs. Carla. He was so wonderful and all of our pictures are so beautiful! The price didn't break our budget and everything from the seating to the vows were exactly what we wanted! I recommend St. Simon's Elopements to make your life stress free and put fun, elegance and beauty into your wedding day.

I found Carla when my fiance and I were at our wits end planning a big wedding in Atlanta. One of us had the brilliant idea to just throw it all out the window and just run away and get married. Luckily, with Carla's help, we were able to do just that. Carla served as officiant, brought the flowers, and helped the two of us "non-wedding" types have a beautiful afternoon ceremony. She is very kind, and made wonderful recommendations for the area. Alas, we ended up with a lot of smoke thanks to some unwelcome guests, a.k.a the wildfires, but she took it all in stride and never made us feel like we were going to have a disaster on our hands.

I could not have asked for a better person to help me with my wedding. My wedding was not actually an Elopment, Mrs. Carla was my wedding planner. She was my saving grace during my wedding planning period. I don't think I would've made it with out her. Mrs. Carla really made it possible for me to enjoy the planning process of my wedding. She pays close attention to every detail and makes everything so much easier for you. I would HIGHLY recommend St. Simons Elopements to anyone. It was the best decison I made for my wedding. She was there with me on my wedding day also to help with any minor and or major details that came up that needed to be taken care of with out me even knowning some of them. She is GREAT and a huge help for everying during the planning process and on your wedding day.

I can not imagine finding someone that could have provided a better wedding experience for us than Carla with St. Simons Elopements. We decided to elope to Jekyll Island about a week before the date we wanted our ceremony to take place. I spoke with Carla for the first time on Monday and with just a couple short phone calls in between, we had a perfect wedding ceremony on Saturday on Driftwood Beach. She took absolutely ALL of the stress out of the process. She truley made me feel completely confident that everything was going to be perfect for us, and most importantly, she delivered! She is such a geniune person. I think the best part about having Carla officiate our wedding was that she has a amazing ability to make you feel like she is just another friend of family member there by your side. She really made us feel special. It is apparent in everything she does that she truly cares about your day and takes pride in making your day special! I actually couldn't wait to get home and write a review for St. Simons Elopements because I think everyone should have such a perfect wedding! I think everyone should experience the romance of an elopement and there's no better way than with Carla by your side. There is not one thing I would have changed.

Carla was such a pleasure to work with! She created a wonderful wedding day timeline that made my wedding day stress free! She was great a communicating and returning emails and phone calls. I would highly recommend her to any friends or family members in need of a wedding planner!

Carla was absolutely wonderful. She officiated our wedding. Was willing to meet with us a as many times as we needed, work with what we wanted for our ceremony and did a wonderful performance. I feel like not only did I have a great experience, but I came away with a new friend in our lives.

Carla was AMAZING! She really went out of her way for us. She was prompt in responding to us, professional, and just a lovely person! Also, she kept us very informed and answered all of our questions along the way. The ceremony was wonderful, we could not have asked for more! The photographer she used for our wedding, Luke Smith, was simply fantastic! Thank you for a beautiful ceremony and for all the help Carla, words cannot express how happy we are with everything!

Carla has been wonderful to work with, and she did an excellent job of providing us with all of our options etc....I was quite surprised after our first encounter with her. We wanted to have a beach wedding at sunset. After a couple of days, she must have done some research and informed me the that the tide at the time of day was going to be unbearable and suggested us getting married in the beautiful King Park. She sent me a picture of a previous wedding set up at this place, and we fell in love with it. Jeremy and I had initially planned to get married outside; however, it stormed like crazy about an hour before our wedding after a beautiful day of blue skies. The park was ankle deep in water and so Carla came to our hotel room at the Village Inn and we discussed our options. The Village Inn agreed to let us use their Pub....Yes, we decided to get married in a bar, but it could not have turned out any better. The lighting was very warm and romantic and the guest standing and sitting around in the small area made it extremely intimate...Jeremy and I are very nontraditional and ended up loving the idea. I don't think the night could have gone any better had it not rained. Thank you Carla for everything and for turning a unpredictable situation to an evening that we will never forget.

The services provided by St. Simons Elopements is top notch and provides an unforgettable memory that you and your loved one will cherish for a lifetime. If you are considering marrying that special person in your life but don't want all the fuss associated with planning it, then this service is made with you in mind. I can't stress enough how pleased we were with this service and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a personalized elopement away from the usual trappings of a cold court room. The process was easy...payment options, flexible scheduling, paperwork/documentation, location, photography services, and dining or hotel accomodations were all user friendly and stress free. Plus, it felt like we were being married by a long-time family friend instead of by a rigid officiant who was just going thru the motions. Awesome service...great memories!!!

Carla was very attentive and helpful. She made our last minute elopement vastly easier. She gave a great ceremony, and was able to suggest an outstanding hotel (which was within walking distance of the ceremony site) not to mention arranging a great photographer.

i located st. simons elopements on the internet. mrs. carla pryor was very informative and professional with a great sence of humor. we had a beautiful wedding at sunset on the beach! it was truly amazing and romantic! they picked us up from our condo drove us around the island. she had a professional photographer take pics of us at verious locations on the island! as well as he covered the wedding too! she is a great woman and runs a truly great bussines i would recomend her services to any and everyone looking for a romantic wedding!

We are so lucky to have found Carla! Our dream wedding on Cumberland Island would have never been feasible without her knowledge and services. While our wedding required minimal planning in terms of hotels, decorations, music, etc., Carla connected us with a fabulous photographer and a great officiant to ensure that we had the best day of our lives. Carla was great! She handled all of the details of deliveries and times concerning the wedding party for everything. She handled all the little last minute details so that I could just show up and be the mother of the bride! There were no questions about where anyone needed to be. This made everything flow so much easier. My daughter had a destination wedding and Carla helped with all the local companies, suggested who worked well together. She did all the follow up calls about deliveries. I did not worry about anything, I knew she had handled it all! Carla truly helped make Mary's wedding everything she had dreamed!

Carla was a wonderful officiant and day of coordinator. She was very prompt in responding to any questions I had. She also created a wedding day timeline which helped the day run very smoothly. We were from out of town having a destination wedding but Carla put our minds to ease with her vendor suggestions and her positive, professional approach. I know she worked hard to make our ceremony personable and heart felt.

Carla was a wonderful officiant! This was a destination wedding for us, and we were able to take care of all of the ceremony details via email and phone calls. We had a small, simple ceremony, and Carla's style went perfect with that. She made us relaxed during the rehearsal and ceremony. She gave our wedding the Georgia laid back feel that we were looking for.

Carla helped my fiance plan and set up his proposal since he surprised me with a trip to Jekyll Island and we came in from out of town for the occasion. Everything went perfectly! It felt like walking into a dream and the set up was absolutely gorgeous. My fiance went on and on about how easy Carla was to work with and how well she took care of every little detail. We were thrilled with her work!

Let me start off by saying we are a professional couple. We wanted a nice small wedding. We chose st simons because all the reviews were good. So understanding that the reviews on here all seem to be good I would like to point out our horrendous experience with St. Simons elopements and Carla Pryor. Carla Pryor is a sham. We ordered a wedding package from her and she did nothing but set up chairs at our ceremony the day of the wedding. She didn't help with ANYTHING else. We didn't even get a text, a call, let alone a visit from her the day of the wedding. She made us handle everything ourselves. As far a "wedding planning" she didnt do anything. We did all the planning. We had to do everything but set up the day of the wedding. On top of everything she was very rude to my mother in law. While the bride was about to walk down the isle! seriously????!!? We would highly recommend finding someone else to do your wedding.
