Beautiful Venue

Beautiful club, great location, very affordable. Everything ran smoothly on the big day, thanks to Jody, the Clubs Special Events Coodinator and our Wedding Planner, Michelle working together. Would go back there in a minute to do it all over again.

Wedding Reception

I did a few tours of different venues and am so glad I toured SGCC! Jody has been fantastic to work with since day 1. She’s easy to communicate with, made great suggestions, easy to schedule with, and very friendly! Her and her team did an amazing job for our wedding reception and we are super grateful for everything they did to make the evening go smoothly. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend using SGCC for any event. Beautiful golf course/scenery as well. Thank you so much for everything!

Our wedding 10/2021

We had our wedding in October of 2021 and Claire was an amazing help! She was very flexible with our many changing plans due to Covid and was so helpful and patient. Our guests loved our venue and it’s natural lighting and we recommended it to so many other future newlyweds!

Very accommodating and beautiful venue!

This venue is beautiful and one of the more affordable yet high quality venues in the Northern Virginia area for a large group. Claire and the entire staff at SGCC was extremely accommodating during the entire process.

We had to delay our wedding due to COVID which Claire helped us navigate. The food, decor, etc was great, and they were able to accommodate the bridal party getting ready at the venue as well as pictures with the full wedding party beforehand. We did cupcakes instead of cake. We also loved the balcony outside of the ballroom.

We had a 6 person band and 105 guests plus one bar and a photo booth. It would have been nice to have a second bar but I think the photo booth took up this space in the main room. There was plenty of room for additional guests but with COVID it was nice to have the extra room.

We fully recommend this venue - with SGCC you get a staff that works well with external vendors, has all of the perks of a restaurant (silverware, tablecloths, basic decor, catering director, etc), and a beautiful venue!

Just FYI for those wondering about COVID, we required all of our guests to get covid tests beforehand and vendors to wear masks but did not require our guests to wear masks since they were all tested.

An Amazing Venue, Cordial Staff and Excellent Food

As an older couple, we required a venue that was both grandchild friendly and sufficiently sophisticated for our adult guests. Jennifer made our celebration perfect for everyone. The food was exceptional, her suggestion of cupcakes in lieu of a wedding cake "spot on", and the friendly service by the staff ensured that everyone had a wonderful evening.

Phenomenal, what a find!

We can’t say enough about Springfield Golf & Country Club. We had 2 months to plan our wedding, and we were so lucky this venue was available. Jennifer, the event coordinator is fantastic, and very responsive. She was able to answer any and all questions we had, promptly. This was the first venue we visited, and we instantly fell in love. The location is gorgeous, the ballroom is newly renovated with a balcony looking over the golf course. The chandelier makes the room even more magical, and the standard table setup was unbelievable.

The day of the event was flawless. Everything went according, to plan, and I mean everything. We had a brunch style reception, and everything was setup beautifully. My Mom and sister were able to come in ahead of time to setup our decorations, with no issues. Jennifer, and staff provided exceptional service. The food was fantastic, and the dessert options were out of this world. Our guests were all impressed we were able to pull everything off so quickly, and raved about the venue. Everyone had a blast.

My husband and I were able to take gorgeous photos on the balcony and certain areas on the golf course. Jennifer was kind enough to meet with myself and the photographer prior to the event to discuss locations for the photography. The reception was in November, and the foliage as our backdrop was stunning.

Beautiful gem in Springfield

Jennifer was great to work with. She was always responsive via phone and email. She worked with my parents a lot and they also had nothing but a positive experience working with Jennifer. The staff was super nice, friendly and professional at the country club; it is a beautiful, little gem in Springfield. It has been completely renovated and the room and balcony are so pretty, especially at sunset. A few of our guests asked us how we found the place.. as it was very close to home, almost in our own backyard! I'm so happy Jennifer responded to my initial email back in August when we were planning our engagement party here.
Additionally, the food was so yummy! Our guests raved about the appetizers, the cute sundae bar, and the cake! Overall, it was a great venue and wonderful experience. I will definitely consider having future events here such as bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties etc.

Spectacular!

Springfield Golf and Country Club was a spectacular venue for our daughter’s wedding reception. They have an exquisite (recently renovated) ballroom that overlooks the 18th fairway, as does the large balcony. The balcony is especially inviting with plenty of seating around tables that we were allowed to decorate with pretty ivory lanterns. The ballroom was breathtaking. Part of the renovation included a beautiful chandelier and very luxurious dining chairs. We opted to upgrade the tablecloths and linens, which was well worth it. The dining tables and decor looked amazing. SGCC took a lot of care in preparing the ballroom for us. We had almost 150 guests who really enjoyed the atmosphere, the open bar, the variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres and the buffet. I was nervous about buffet versus table service, but it was very well coordinated and offered multiple entrees and sides for our guests to choose from. Everyone raved about the food! (My favorite was the salmon.)
Jennifer Kazmi, the Director of Catering and Special Events, was wonderful to work with. She was there for us throughout the planning process, including being present, on a Saturday, to welcome us to a private food and cake tasting. The chef prepared 7 delicious hors d’oeuvres, 4 entrees, 4 side dishes, and 2 salads, which they served to the future bride and groom, and me, in the ballroom setting. Believe me, it was more like a meal than a tasting. After some time, we were full, so Jennifer sent us home with a box full of cupcakes in several cake and icing flavors the couple had pre-selected. The tasting was beyond my expectations!
And I can’t thank Jennifer enough for the florist she recommended upon my request. “Toulies en Fleur” (Jill Medawar) provided stunning floral arrangements and marvelous decor for the ballroom, as well as gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding. Jill set up the table décor and a variety of amazing floral arrangements in the ballroom that were much admired by the guests, one of whom told me that the large arrangements on very tall, transparent columns appeared to be floating in air. But back to the venue. Our reception was from 4-10 with open bar and a lot of dancing to dj music. The ballroom has a huge new dance floor, too! Jennifer was there at the outset of the reception to make sure that everything was perfect and Danielle and Matt both provided excellent support throughout the evening, especially to the bride and mother-of-the-bride. I wanted to make the reception magical and memorable for Kerry-Anne and David and I felt that Jennifer and everyone at SGCC wanted that, too!

Amazing venue!

I looked around at different venues for awhile but the second I walked into the ballroom at Springfield Golf and Country Club I knew right away that I wanted to have my wedding reception there! It is absolutely gorgeous with the best views! The staff was professional and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and was a big hit with all of the guests! Also, Jennifer is amazing. She was so sweet and kind and always very responsive and willing to answer any and all of my questions. When I first went to take a tour they were in the process of re-doing parts of the club including the ballroom. Jennifer took the time to show what things were going to look like and help to give us a vision of what to expect. She was so helpful in all aspects and made sure that everything ran smoothly. I am SO happy that I chose Springfield Golf and Country Club to have my wedding reception and I would 100% recommend them!

Wonderful experience for a wedding!

Working with Springfield Golf and Country Club made wedding stresses just disappear. The venue itself is quite lovely so we didn't have to add much more to give it a personal touch. They are an easy location to find, and the staff were wonderful to work with. Also... people are still talking about the delicious dinner!

Amazing Venue and Services

The Springfield Golf & Country Club does not only offer exquisite greens and views, they also serve as a gorgeous wedding ceremony/reception space. It was an honor to be able to hold my wedding ceremony and reception here on June 1, 2019. The golf club is very nice and the ballrooms are gorgeous. The golf club was just recently renovated which makes it even more stunning! Springfield does have an on site events/catering manager Jennifer Kazmi who is hands down nothing less than extraordinary! She went above and beyond ensuring my special day went off without a hitch and was super patient with all of my questions. She was definitely a huge part of making my day truly one of the most memorable days of my life! We are so thankful for her assistance and guidance throughout the entire planning process. I highly recommend the Springfield Golf & County Club for nuptials or next special event! The service, in-house chef and the facility are all top notch!

Excellent! Great value! Highly recommend!

I was the groom (now husband) that found this beautiful wedding venue. My wife and I very much appreciated the venue's brand new renovation this year (new carpet, new chairs, new paint). My wedding guests absolutely loved the food (prime roast is a must!). My daughter had an awesome wedding reception at Springfield Gold & Country Club!

My daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception was held here in June 2019. We booked the ballroom about a year in advance, and worked with Jennifer Kazmi, Director of Catering and Special Events. She is a joy to work with, providing printed guidelines for the reception, recommending florists and djs, and helping us with so many questions, right up to a few days before the wedding! Some of our guests had dietary restrictions for health reasons, and the staff was very accommodating with making those meals. They also included a vegan and vegetarian meal, when a guest and photographer requested those. They provided kids meals for the 11 children who attended. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the recommended florist (Brookhill Florist) and dj (Marc Wilner of Washington Talent Agency) were both awesome!

I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful reception we had at the Springfield Golf & Country Club. I highly recommend this venue for your special events!

Beautiful Venue for a Wedding

This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding! Jennifer was amazing to work with from beginning to end and that made planning with this venue stress free. Jennifer provided great suggestions to our many questions and they were able to accommodate our special requests. We received many compliments from our guest about how great the food was, how well organized it was, and how beautiful everything was. Flexible and Reliable

We chose the Springfield Golf & Country Club for our reception venue this past August, and it was an amazing experience. You are very limited with options when it comes to space and saving, so we felt very lucky to find them. They have a $10,000 minimum which could go towards food, drinks, basic linens and chairs, and serving staff. The ballroom is bright and open, and their food was phenomenal. We got married at the Springfield Golf and Country Club in August 2019 and had a great experience. Jennifer walked us through everything and answered my million emails of questions. The venue is beautiful and the staff are all very professional. Compared to other venues this definitely had the best value for cost and the food was excellent! Our guests loved using the outside balcony too! We loved all the little touches Jennifer added and were grateful she was there to help everything go smoothly. We had a blast and couldn't recommend the country club more- the wonderful staff, delicious food, and beautiful setting made it just perfect.

My husband and I had our reception for our March 2018 wedding at Springfield Golf and Country Club and could not have been happier with our decision. The food was amazing. The ballroom, overlooking the golf course, looked beautiful. The staff was courteous and attentive. One of the best things about SGCC is being able to work with Jennifer, the onsite catering and events manager. She helped me keep every little detail organized, tolerated my many questions, calls, and emails, and was just a dream to work with overall. The reception was everything we had envisioned and more. Several weeks later, our guests are still raving about the party. We literally could not have asked for more!

If you are looking for a great wedding venue, stop right here you found the best! We had our reception for 140 at the SGCC on October 14, 2017 and I can't say enough wonderful things about the Springfield Golf and Country Club! Springfield Golf & Country Club was the perfect choice for me and my husband. When we were looking for reception venues in the D.C. area, we struggled to find a place that was beautiful and within budget. But, when we found the Springfield Golf & Country Club, we knew this is the one.
Jennifer, the director of catering, was the absolute best vendor I worked with throughout wedding planning. She is professional, timely, creative, reliable, flexible, super responsive, provides helpful advice every step of the way and was worth every penny of reserving the space just for her services! Because of Jennifer I didn’t need to hire a wedding planner. She was helping me all throughout the planning from beginning to the end. She even recommended our wedding florist “Toulies En Fleur” whom work we loved so much. Also the food was super delicious, and my guests are still commenting to me about it weeks later. I am so happy that we decided to have our wedding here in SGCC and so thankful to Jennifer for all she did to help us to have a beautiful wedding. She is the BEST!!! Couldn't recommend this venue any higher!

Springfield Golf & Country Club was the perfect choice for me and my husband. When we were looking for reception venues in the greater D.C. area, we struggled to find a place that was beautiful and within budget. But, when we found the Springfield Golf & Country Club, we knew we found the hidden gem of this area. Not only is it beautiful, but it has the most delicious food, the most considerate staff, and the most welcoming environment. And, I can't forget to mention that the baker on site created a gorgeous 4 tier wedding cake that everyone keeps talking about. If you are looking for a wedding reception venue in the greater D.C. area, look no further than the Springfield Golf & Country Club. It is truly the best venue in the area - bar none.

There isn't enough space in this comment box for our experience with SGCC! I went to a celebratory brunch the first time I saw the space, and when I got engaged it wasn't long before SGCC was our venue of choice. What made the decision even easier than the gorgeous grounds and clubhouse was Jennifer. I couldn't have asked for a more professional and helpful guide to creating my perfect reception. Jennifer was so amazing to work with, so kind and so committed to making every detail count. With all the offerings of the Club, we had space, food, and cake all taken care of in one place and it was all beautiful, delicious, and so well prepared and served. The staff was so friendly. Our wedding day was perfect, so much so because of Jennifer and the entire SGCC staff. Our friends have asked us repeatedly, "when are we doing that again??!"

We had our reception for 150 at the SGCC on May 20, 2017 and I can't say enough wonderful things about the Springfield Golf and Country Club! From the moment we saw it on wedding wire we said "we want to have our reception here!" and we are SO happy that we did. Jennifer, the director of catering, was the absolute best vendor I worked with throughout wedding planning. She is professional, timely, creative, reliable, provides helpful advice every step of the way, tactfully helped me to remind my MIL of needs, and was worth every penny of reserving the space just for her services! During the reception she was there to bring us wine, food, and help our entrance go well, she personally attended to each detail set in our reception and is just the absolute best. Beyond that, the Country Club is a beautiful setting with gorgeous grand ballroom-- already an impressive, light-filled location you don't have to do much of anything to make it picturesque; but they will get chairs, chargers, linens and great details all set for you with Jennifer's impeccable taste to help those of us overwhelmed by decision making. The gardens and the fireplace room made great settings for portrait photos with our photographer. Beyond all of this raving, the country club is a SERIOUSLY good value for the Washington, DC area. The food was AMAZING, and my guests are still commenting to me about it weeks later. For our wedding of 150 guests it was easily 1/2 the cost of similarly large and gorgeous venues around the region. 100% happy with our choice to have our reception at the Country Club, so thankful to Jennifer for all that she did to help us have a wonderful celebration of our marriage. Couldn't recommend this venue any higher!

I'm not sure where to begin. The SGCC is amazing in every way. From our initial meeting with Jennifer until we walked out the door at the end of our wedding and ceremony everything was flawless. My husband and I are not a member of a Church so we had our ceremony and reception at the SGCC. It was perfect, everything under one roof. The food was off the charts, my guest raved and are still raving about every bite being fabulous. Though we were married in February and it being winter time our pictures are stunning. The fireplace room, the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor, the golf course, the patio over looking the golf course, the lower porch all make for amazing photos. Let me not forget to mention the huge windows thru out the ballroom that give you the most beautiful views of the sun setting. We even had a small hiccup in leaving a couple off our seating chart by mistake and without delay Jennifer jumped right into action and came up with a solution we had no worry in the world. Jennifer and the staff at the Springfield Golf and Country Club are TOP NOTCH!!!!! We may have to come up with another event just to enjoy the wonderful experience again that we had at SGCC. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE............... and you will too.

In short - Don't hesitate to book SGCC!

We had our 150 guest September 2016 wedding and reception at SGCC. Jennifer was amazing the work with. The staff was top notch. The night went off without a hitch. We are so happy we went with the Springfield Golf and Country Club for our wedding reception! We chose Springfield Golf and Country Club (SGCC) because it offered everything we were looking for and more, all in one place, and for the best value compared to our other options. We had no idea going into the wedding process how much work it would be, so we were SO thankful to have SGCC as our venue, because they helped us throughout the entire process.

Jennifer, the events coordinator, is fantastic. She is professional, organized, diligent, flexible...I cannot sing her enough praises. She helped keep us on track and answered our endless questions. Having her as part of the process put me at ease...because I knew even if we messed something up right before, Jennifer would make it right. She set up all of our centerpieces, which were a little complicated, and she did it perfectly! And she also kept the day on track from the moment we got to our reception, which made for a very smooth and seamless party that we didn't have to worry about one bit....and not having to worry about anything on the day of your wedding is priceless.

The food is fantastic, and was another reason we went with SGCC--we got a lot of compliments on the food! The cake made by the SGCC pastry chef was awesome too--the carrot cake they have is seriously the best carrot cake you will ever eat. We had the amaretto cake and the orange cake as well--also super delicious.

Having the venue, food, cake, and coordinator all under one roof was also one of the best things about our wedding--what a relief it is to not have to manage many different vendors! (its so impressive too, how they are all in one place AND they are all very high quality!)

If you are looking for a beautiful venue in NOVA, an awesome wedding coordinator, and a great overall experience with your wedding, you should definitely go with SGCC.

We just had our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception in the grand ballroom of the Springfield Golf & Country Club. The Events Coordinator, Jennifer Toney, and the whole club staff were absolutely phenomenal and provided top-notch support leading up to and throughout the entire event. It was like having a built-in wedding planner. The food was delicious (we chose the surf & turf menu option)...excellently prepared and presented. The wedding cake was a work of art. Every one of our guests, without exception, raved about the event and said it was the best wedding/reception they'd been to. I have two more daughters who will marry in the future and I will come back to Springfield Golf & Country Club! They are the best... hands down.

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Springfield Golf and Country Club! We held our wedding reception there after a church ceremony. We were especially impressed with Jennifer, our event coordinator. Her advice, excellent taste, and attention to detail helped to create a gorgeous reception. She even surprised us with a sparkly tablecloth on our sweetheart table! The food was delicious (even with a buffet!), and we were impressed with the upbeat and professional staff. The venue itself is beautiful - the ballroom was lovely, and the golf course was a beautiful place to take pictures. We had a stellar experience at SGCC, and I would absolutely recommend it to any bride and groom looking for a classy, beautiful venue and wedding experience!

I cannot recommend SGCC enough. It was Wedding Wire that directed to me this gem of a venue when I was venue hunting, and I have to pay it forward by adding my own recommendation. The venue in and of itself is beautiful--large windows along the back of the ballroom and a very spacious balcony overlook the perfectly manicured greens. It is also rather large, fitting about 220 people max, but can be partitioned for smaller parties. There is a large dance floor in the middle and two bars on each side, and the buffet can be set up in the foyer-- so everything feels well structured and organized. But the biggest kudos go to SGCC's wedding coordinator, Jennifer Toney, who could not have made the process any smoother. We were having a rather traditional Middle Eastern wedding, and she went out of her way to accommodate our many unique needs. We hosted two events, one at another venue, and one at SGCC, and it was honestly night and day-- I wish we had hosted both at SGCC! She was extremely patient with my many questions and requests, and handled everything super seamlessly the day of. It all came together beautifully and people are still raving about the food! If you're looking for a beautiful venue close to DC with the expertise and capacity to handle your wedding flawlessly AND good value for money, you have to check out Springfield Golf and Country Club.

The Springfield Golf and Country Club was the perfect venue for my reception. Jennifer and her staff were awesome and so great to work with! Jennifer made sure everything was running smoothly, she made sure my groom and I had everything we needed, including drinks, and she made sure the room looked exceptional! The reception room really looked amazing, beyond anything I would have imagined. The food was delicious, too! I would use them again and recommend the Springfield country club to anyone.

Springfield Country Club was the perfect venue for our wedding! Jennifer Toney understood our vision for a traditional wedding with a twist. We wanted it to be classic yet fun and comfortable for our guests. Jennifer executed everything we wanted with ease. She was excellent to work with and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to do a wedding in Northern Virginia. Our friends were raving about the food! We did a southern comfort theme with shrimp and grits and fried chicken and waffles and the country club staff nailed it! We went with a 4 tier cake that the pastry chef was able to recreate a picture with an intricate design from Pinterest as well as a dessert bar. The view of the sun setting over the golf course was gorgeous and made for an amazing backdrop for our pictures! The veranda was perfect for our guests to cool off from the dance floor, while still feeling close to the action. With all of the fun of the day, there was a lot of details to pull off. Jennifer did it so well and took care of everything, which really made our day perfect! We can't thank her enough!

The Springfield County Club was a beautiful venue for my wedding reception this past April. It has beautiful grounds in the spring with gorgeous tulips that are perfect for outdoor wedding photos. The ballroom upstairs is classic and lovely, with huge windows that look out onto the trees and tulips and golf course. This venue is a fantastic alternative to "wedding factories" or hotel ballrooms that all look the same and have no windows or views. The food and service at our reception was great. Jennifer worked with us from beginning to end and was so incredibly patient and flexible while we made our decisions.

We loved our wedding reception at the SGCC! Working with Jennifer Toney was excellent and communication was always open with her. Everything was handled on a timely manner and all we had were praises after the wedding was over.
The guests raved over the h'or d'oeuvres and dinners, which is a definite bonus in our book. The country club has several a la carte rentals that you could use. We rented their uplighting, which was so pretty once the sun had set. We also had full use of the 2nd floor, including the outdoor balcony, which the guests enjoyed greatly. Jennifer was so great to work with and answered all of our questions in short amounts of time.

Jennifer Toney and the team at Springfield Golf and Country Club were amazing! Jennifer was super responsive to my emails, she was able to get 2 wines that they didn't keep in stock but that I had specifically asked for. She set up my candy buffet for me and was just a pleasure to work with and this is coming from a self-proclaimed Bridezilla! My guests raved about the food and the service there. I just got my final invoice today and I gotta say...the prices there are really reasonable for the quality! We thought we would be spending way more than the final total. It was too hot to take pictures outside early on but we managed to get a few during the dinner service on the golf course and it's just beautiful out there.

I had my July 6, 2013 wedding reception at Springfield Golf and Country Club and highly recommend other brides booking here. Jennifer Toney makes the process easy and fun. We had a stations style reception and we got so many compliments on the great good. The prices at SGCC are super reasonable. The deck out back is great for guests to hang out with and we got some great pictures around the country club. Jennifer put up with my many, many emails with questions and I can't emphasis enough how great she is to work with. We had an issue with the linen company and she took it upon herself to get it sorted out. The entire staff at SGCC is friendly and easy to work with. Again, I highly, highly recommend booking your reception at Springfield Golf and Country Club!

Jennifer and her team were amazing! If it hadn't been for her I don't think our wedding and planning would have gone so smooth. After looking for months I couldn't find a venue that I loved and would work with us until her... and that picture window was a fantastic setting for our ceremony! The food was amazing and everyone is still talking about how it was the best wedding they'd been to and how much fun it was. I would definitely recommend this venue, and hoping we can use them again for other functions in the future! They're amazing!

Such a beautiful venue! The large picture windows upstairs, as well as a lovely balcony, lend themselves to an elegant entertainment space. We feel very fortunate to have had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception party at the SGCC. Jennifer was so friendly and worked with all of our vendors to make sure details went smoothly. It was also wonderful peace of mind to have a day-of coordinator on-site. Leading up to the wedding, we were at the SGCC several times for the tasting, decorating selections (table cloths and centerpiece options) and to meet with the DJ and photographer. The club's catering for appetizers and dinner was delicious. Truly, the entire staff was friendly, professional, and responsive. I also appreciated that they let us bring in special Moroccan wedding cookies to serve with the cake, and Moroccan mint tea. My only caveat would be to make sure you are minding the food & beverage minimum. The Springfield Golf & Country Club is a top-notch, elegant, one-of-a-kind venue for any important event, especially a wedding!

Having my wedding reception at the Springfield Golf and Country Club was the best decision I made regarding my wedding!!! The layout and architecture of the space was the perfect place to have a wedding reception, with a fabulous ballroom (dance floor in the center) and a great view and veranda looking over the beautiful golf course.

The service was amazing, from the Director of Catering (Jennifer Toney)'s attention to detail and attentiveness throughout the process from beginning to end, to the wait staff on the day of the big event. Everyone was so helpful and caring and friendly -- and competent! :) Even my guests mentioned how nice the wait staff was - they felt like they were in Disney World!

The food was absolutely delicious (I received so many compliments on the entrees, as well as the appetizers)), and the linens they provided for the tables were so beautiful.

When I walked into the Ballroom on my wedding day, everything completely exceeded my expectations - the room just took my breath away!! I could not have asked for more, and SGCC is well aware now of my high standards. :)

This reception venue was beautiful for our July 2nd wedding. Our guests loved the large balcony overlooking the beautiful green course. The reception room is so brite and open with floor to ceiling windows, and it gave us the feeling of being outdoors. The staff was very professional and accommodating. We asked for Mahi Mahi, which was not on the wedding menu, and not only did the chef cook it for our wedding, but it was outstanding. The event coordinator Jennifer is very warm, friendly, enthusiastic, professional, courteous, and knowledgable. She was always responsive to our questions, and quick with a helpful answer. She gave us great recommendations, and is a wealth of knowledge about all sorts of wedding vendors, and wedding etiquette. Our wedding went off without a hitch and we were very pleased with this venue and their staff. We are eagerly awaiting the photos we took under the large old trees behind the club house!

sg&cc was a great find! i had my wedding at sg&cc this past may and couldn't be happier with the food, service, staff, and over-all experience. i went all over the dc area looking for a space that was big enough, a good price, and not a typical reception. although it was on the "cookie-cutter" side, sg&cc let us rent long tables and transform the space. jennifer, the event planner, is extremely nice and pleasant to work with. my guests all had rave reviews of the reception.

Jennifer was wonderful to work with, and the entire evening was just beyond my expectations. The Springfield Golf and Country club was in a great location for us, it was near our house and they had a deal with the Hilton Hotel where the hotel would provide a shuttle service to and from the Country club. This was perfect for us because all our guests were out of state and a lot of them didn�t have cars. The building and the grounds are very well kept and it really looked beautiful on the day of our wedding. We had the whole top floor for the wedding, we had a room for the bride and bridesmaids, the large hallway for the guest book table, a porch and a large ballroom that we split and used one half for our ceremony and one half for the reception. We were also allowed to take pictures outside and in the front room down on the main floor. Because our wedding was on a Sunday we were given a great price on the deposit and food prices. I would defiantly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get married in a country club.

Our reception was nothing short of perfect. We looked high and low for options for our reception and everything was extremely expensive in the DC area. I contacted Springfield Golf and Country Club thinking there was no way we would be able to afford it. Not only were they the most affordable, the club and ballroom are exquisite and the food is amazing. We worked closely with a planner at the club who bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of. And as if we didn't love them enough they were able to cater to my food allergies with no problem whatsoever (and I have an extraordinary list of food allergies).

Jen Toney is an amazing person! she was there for us the whole way and was always available to let us come by and take a look around or to plan decorations, etc. She was very friendly, curteous and helpful and we're so lucky we got to have our wedding there. On the downside for us anyway, the green carpet has got to go!! they're renovating other parts of the club so maybe they'll change it. The food was great, we had a buffet and she took care of some of the little details and i'm sure many more i wasn't even aware of that night.

They were incredible!!! It's almost hard for me to describe all of the ways in which they really helped make the wedding day run perfectly smooth. The food was excellent, and the moment we walked into the door, a waitress immediately told us that whenever we were ready to eat, she would prepare our plates for us. The staff was very attentive to our needs.
In addition to the wedding day, they were helpful with providing extras for us, like candles, mirrors, lights etc...the place also just happens to be beautiful

I'd like to start by saying that my job is to do what our contact, Jennifer Toney, does but for a luxury hotel. As such, I'm probably one of the most observant/high expectation (read: critical) clients she's had. With that being said, I was totally prepared to have my expectations unmet, not because the club is bad but because I know I can be a pain in the rear. However, Jennifer and her team delivered an AMAZING event that far exceeded my expectations. Let's break it down:

Food: When I first saw the menu I was floored - the prices at SGCC were unbelievably low! I was sure it was because the culinary product was inferior. But, I had attended a wedding at the club several years prior and remembered that the food was pretty good so we went for it. During the tasting, we brought two of our foodie friends along. To say that all four of us were pleasantly surprised was an understatement. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the cake but we had already planned on using an outside vendor. So, if the prices are low and the food is fantastic, the service must be dreadful, right?

Service: I can't remember the last time I dined out and was unable to critique a single thing (remember, I'm a pain). The banquets team that serviced our wedding reception was top notch. I still (6 weeks later) get comments from guests about how great the servers, bartenders, and banquet manager were. My dad was so impressed that the bartenders remembered his drink and had it ready each time. My hotel would be lucky to have any of them on staff.

Sales/Planning Process: Jennifer was great to work with. She helped us manage our budget and coordinate with our vendors and that was very helpful, especially in the days leading up to the wedding. There were a couple little bumps along the way but Jennifer always resolved them to our satisfaction.

Great food + low prices + fabulous service = fantastic value

AH! Jennifer is amazing! Anything you need she's your girl! I couldn't say enough about how beautiful and spot on everything was. The timeline was kept immaculately and even when there were minor adjustments it was completely smooth. Everyone had a fabulous time and the food was immaculate. Only one of my bridesmaids complained that the only thing that could have been better was not cutting the entire wedding cake when half the guests had left so all those slices that went on empty tables were thrown away! Other than that it was definitely expensive (I had 150 people) but so worth the convenience of having the reception close by, catering in-house, and a friendly and informative catering director, Jennifer! The great thing is the cost can vary and be less expensive on a Friday and based on how many people you invite so it is totally custom made to your budget :).

I seriously think if I'd had to organize everything that she took care of I would have just eloped - she helped us figure out all our catering logistics, a/v setup, chair and linen rentals, and then on the actual night was on hand to make sure everything went smoothly - pointing guests in the right direction, keeping an eye on food, setting out all our place cards at the right time, and more I'm sure I didn't see. She was also incredibly patient and responsive with all my emails and questions, and always made sure we were happy with what we were getting (including special ordering champagne for us a whopping 2 weeks before the wedding!).

We had our reception at the Springfield Golf and Country Club. It was wonderful. Jennifer, who helped us with the planning, was extremely nice and helpful throughout the whole process. Any questions we had were answered. She was really flexible with all kinds of options and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were happy and that the vision of our wedding was completed. On the day of, everything was set up the way we wanted. At one point while we were taking pictures, they brought out a tray of appetizers for the wedding party. I think it was the only time the whole evening I thought to eat anything, so I am eternally grateful for them to think of us at that moment. I highly recommend the venue. It is a large, spacious ballroom with huge windows that overlook a beautiful golf course. And there's a long covered porch for guests who want to go outside as well (it was very popular for our guests). And the food is delicious--the chef is willing to work with you for just about anything you might want.

I had my wedding here & must say, the location, setting of the country club and the food were incredible. Jennifer, the event coordinator was very helpful/informed. However, here's issues we experienced on our wedding day: (1) Jennifer had said she would be present for our wedding from beginning to end, to ensure that everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, she left before the wedding ended and as a result, my husband had to leave his own wedding reception to find our sparklers (which he had no idea where they had put them) for the sparkler send off...leaving me alone in front of all our guests waiting for him/our sparklers (2) We were also promised that during our wedding photos, country club members were not allowed to tee-off, giving us an hour or so to capture amazing photos without any golfers in the background. This was not the case, not only were golfers happily golfing, but there were two SGCC members golfing right behind us while my photographer was trying to get a photo of us/our bridal party. When my photographer kindly asked if the golfers could move to the side and pause their game for this photo - the golfers were extremely rude and replied with "I pay my member dues and we have a bet going on this game. Get it?" It was a little embarrassing and a bit of a buzz kill, to have a such beautiful day interrupted by such rude and inconsiderate people. (3) We paid for an open bar during the specified hours of our reception and negotiated Johnny Walker behind the bar, as many of our guests drink this. During the reception, the Father of the Groom ordered a glass of Johnny Walker and was told by the bartender "I'm sorry sir, we're out of Johnny Walker." How can you be out of something that we specifically negotiated into the contract and told you that all of our guests drink? I was perplexed by this/again, embarrassed. Especially having your ceremony/reception here (we had both) is not cheap! So, when you're paying good money, you expect promises to be kept.
