A dream experience

We planned for Splash Cafe to cater our October 17th, 2020 wedding long before the COVID-19 Pandemic came about. When we decided to keep our date and scale down to less than 20 people, and switch from a full dinner to a modified snack menu for our 3-hour outdoor event, Heather took everything in stride and absolutely worked with every curveball. Our day was absolutely perfect, and in no small part to her help and the amazing work done by Splash. Everything was beautiful, safely individually packaged, and displayed and served with care. They even made custom sugar cookies made to look like our cake and with our wedding date on them as a favor for guests. This was a surprise to us at the tasting and such a beautiful and thoughtful touch. I cannot recommend Splash, Heather, and Harmony enough, particularly for wedding cakes and desserts.

Intimate Beach Wedding

What a surprise to find out that Splash Cafe made delicious wedding cakes and pastries! They presented a gorgeous spread for our cake tasting, and everything was so yummy we had a hard time deciding on flavors. We added a few pastry options to our table as well, and they were a huge hit!

Amazing desserts!

I worked with Susan at Splash Cafe to have the ultimate dessert bar at our wedding. I didn't want our cake to be the only option for our guests. The menu is unreal - so many cute bite sized desserts. The taste and the look is UNREAL! She makes them look so pretty you may not want to eat them, but then you do and you don't want to stop. You must use her for your central coast event!!!

Yummy food and Heather is THE BEST!!!

This review is long overdue. Splash catered our wedding in June and we could not have made a better choice. From the first tasting to our wedding day Heather was amazing! She made the experience fun and stress free. She worked alongside our venue coordinator to make sure everything would go without a hitch and even offered to help set up our personal items so we did not have to worry about it. On our wedding day, Heather and her team made sure our guests were satisfied, we had a glass of wine in hand when ever desired, and we got plenty of food. On top of all that food was amazing and all our guests raved about how good it was. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Best cake ever

Splash did a great job with our cutting cake (made it look exactly like the picture I gave them) and cupcakes. We had a mix of regular size and mini in a variety of flavors. The tasting to decide flavors was fun!!

Best in the business!

Splash Cafe and Heather are by far the best in the business!!! I got married this last June 2019 and I can easily say Splash Cafe was a huge reason everything went so smoothly. Heather is so professional, organized, accommodating and just a pleasure to work with. Not only did they cater a delicious meal for roughly 150 guests, but they also did my dessert bar! I got soooo many compliments on how tasty everything was (especially their mini cheesecakes and salted caramel bars). Heather even helped me with my rentals. She was so knowledgeable and made sure I didn't forget something. Their staff the day of made sure my husband and I were completely taken care of including bringing us drinks from the bar! Seriously, if you are considering Splash, you won't regret it! They will exceed your expectations and then some. Thank you SO much to the Splash team and thank you especially to Heather!!! You are a true expert at what you do!

Such an amazing Caterer!

If you are looking for a caterer, look no further. The Splash Cafe is truly amazing! We cannot say enough good things about Heather and her team.
We had a couple of tastings for our wedding but when we were at Splash Café we immediately knew we found the perfect one! Not only is their food amazing, but they are also so easy to work with and truly care about you as their customer.
And then of courses there is Heather - the coordinator. You just have to love her. She is such a warm and wonderful person and will do anything she can to make your wedding perfect! She is super organized and reliable, responds to all of your emails and questions immediately and takes away so much of the pre-wedding stress.
And the day of, she was definitely our hero! She always knew what we needed (even if we didn’t know ourselves) and before we could even ask for something she already handed it to us! All the other staff was outstanding as well - attentive, super friendly and brought happy vibes. Our guests loved Heather and her team, too and many of them told us they never saw a caterer that was so devoted.
Since we loved their food and service so much we decided to get our cake and desert from them too, as well as some midnight snacks, and even used their bar tending service - all of which exceeded our expectations!

Thank you so much to the whole team of Splash Cafe for making our day truly perfect!!!

Splash Cafe was Phenomenal!!

My husband and I decided to use Splash Café as our catering service for our wedding day! It was THE best choice!! Heather, Splash's Catering Coordinator, was so fun and easy to work with! Anything I wanted, she made it happen! Her bubbly personality and expertise had me SOLD from the moment I first talked to her!! She made it an easy one stop shop with the catering and ALSO worked with our rental company on rentals so I didn't have to worry about having to contact several vendors. She and her crew were the best!! From the servers to the bartender, the team was amazing!! We wanted a simple meal on our big day so we decided to do appetizers, a taco bar, and a dessert bar!! Everything was OUTSTANDINGLY delicious and the set up looked amazing!! We didn't want a huge cake either and she recommended a 6in cake for my hubby and I to cut and designed it to the exact detail I wanted! The day was simply amazing and everything I had hoped for! HUGE thank you to you, Heather, and your entire crew for making our wedding day so stress free and memorable! I HIGHLY recommend Splash for your catering needs!!

The Splash Cafe team are absolute rockstars. Heather was so amazing throughout the whole process and really made us feel taken care of on our wedding day. The food was fantastic, the staff was great, and it all came together with no issues at all.

Heather from Splash Cafe executed a flawless day!

We had Heather from Splash Cafe coordinate our March 2019 wedding. I don’t think I can come up with the words to describe just how fantastic she was but I am going to do my best. Heather was hands-down the best vendor we hired for our wedding. My husband and I along with our families and wedding party had the most stress-free, fantastic time at our wedding and that is all due to Heather.

Heather’s “day-of coordination” services far exceeded the day of. We were in constant contact months out going over every little detail. She was always prompt in responding to my slew of emails and took over all vendor communication leading up to the big day - which was a huge relief!

We had a lot of “cooks in the kitchen” - family, friends, and friends of family - armed with opinions and requests relating to our big day and Heather navigated all those relationships with such ease. It helped this stressed out bride immensely when I could tell a family member to “just call Heather about it” and knew she would take it off my plate. Heather helped us organize some last minute logistical changes with our venue so gracefully and even managed some difficult-to-please vendors and late bridesmaids.

When you hire Heather, as a bride or groom, just know you won’t lift a single finger on your big day. As soon as we were pronounced Husband and Wife, Heather was there to greet us with drinks in hand. Heather made sure we ate throughout the day, even bringing appetizers and more beverages out to the wedding party and family during our cocktail hour photography session. So epic!

Heather went above and beyond to make sure every last detail was thought of and executed seamlessly. From bringing along her own vessel for our signature drinks to be served out of to folding 200 napkins for the reception. She made sure the whole evening flowed effortlessly and that we remained on time for all the big moments throughout the night.

Heather is equal parts family therapist, hype woman, and taskmaster. She is so professional, crazy organized, patient, assertive and she makes the day SO FUN!

I am a control freak and I have a hard time trusting others to execute my vision but once Heather took over, I had no qualms in letting her run with it all! After our wedding was over, our family and friends all agreed that the day could not have been more perfect. There wasn’t a single thing that we would have changed about it and that was all due to Heather.

You will not regret hiring Heather from Splash to coordinate your wedding. She is worth her weight in gold!

Fantastic food and service

Heather and the entire team at Splash were everything we could have hoped for and more. Heather was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, and she put my husband and I at complete ease on the day of the wedding. She even ran after us as we were taking post-ceremony photos, making sure we had a plate of apps to enjoy during cocktail hour. And our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was. Splash is the real deal, and we were lucky to have them for our wedding!

Heather is the most amazing coordinator! Everything started out with a great tasting that was delicious and beautiful. We had endless comments the day of the wedding about how great the food was. However, the real star was Heather! The moment I arrived to the venue she found me and all my girls and got us all drinks. By the time I was done doing pre-ceremony pictures she found me on my walk back with another cocktail in hand. After the ceremony we all got started on family pictures and there she was riding over in golf cart with another cocktail and beer for my hubby. The entire night she was amazing and took care of completely everything. She was not just a caterer, but pretty much a day of coordinator for me as well. I even had guests coming up to say how amazing her service was. Highly Highly recommend them.

Omg!!! Where do I even begin... honestly surpassed my expectations we still haven’t stopped talking about our best day ever and we totalllllly owe it to HEATHER our wedding coordinator who is also catering manager at splash cafe, but without her i don’t know what life would be like. She knows everything about how to make your day go off without a hitch plus she’s actually the coolest person I’ve ever met and will just make sure you’re the happiest bride you can be.. um what else can you ask for!!! SOOO Splash catering was flawless, the staff was amazing and and so personable! The food.... I am still hearing about how good our food was and the killer appetizers! (Mac and cheese balls specifically!! ) I can go on and on and on.... but Splash is just everything, they did our dessert bar and that was a hit!!! I hate cake and it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted.

If you’re getting married anywhere in the central coast this is your place for catering and the BEST WEDDDING COORDINATOR there is!

Heather and Splash Cafe were incredible throughout the entire process of our wedding planning. Heather was extremely responsive to any inquiries we had including questions about catering, service, pricing, last-minute changes, and even amounts of drinks for cocktail hour. Splash wowed us with their BBQ dinner tasting at the restaurant which was equally as delicious the day of the wedding. We had several compliments from friends and family about the dinner as well as the service from Heather and her team. Splash also provided our desserts which the entire wedding raved about and even accommodated a dairy-free wedding cake for the bride. Oh my goodness! We cannot tell you how much we LOVED having Splash catering for our wedding! Not only was the food DELICIOUS (all of our guests raved about the food), but they were such a joy to work with. Heather and the rest of the team were literally a dream to work with! When we decided to get married in SLO we knew the one thing we wanted more than anything else was tri-tip, and they delivered. All of the food was amazing, the desserts were fantastic and our late night snack was perfect. Heather and her team at Splash were amazing. Heather knows the ins and outs of not only catering but weddings in general. She was extremely helpful with all of my questions, even the ones that weren't about food specifically. The food that Splash provided for the wedding was phenomenal. We did chicken, tri-tip, caesar salad, macaroni and cheese, and garlic bread. The spread may sound like a laid back BBQ menu but it was far more than that, it was just the right amount of simple and upscale for our outdoor "elegant" barn wedding. We opted to do a dessert bar instead of the traditional cake and almost ALL of the cookies, bars, and mini cupcakes got eaten. Our guests raved about all of the passed hour'd ourves, dinner, and desserts. Thanks Splash for keeping our guests full and satisfied :)

Splash handled the catering for my parents' shared 90th birthday/67th anniversary party last weekend, & it couldn't possibly have been a better experience. I don't live on the Central Coast, so had to plan everything remotely -- which included not tasting the food in advance. Heather was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, even though it was a mid-June event right in the middle of wedding season. She was extremely helpful on choosing a menu to accommodate both carnivores and vegetarians, and helped me offer a generous selection of buffet dishes while keeping the cost reasonable. She was also great about menu and quantity adjustments as the date drew closer. Splash's delivery person, Daniel, was excellent at efficient, unobtrusive setup -- including training my servers on how to tactfully save the vegetarian entree for people who don't eat meat -- and takedown. The food was excellent, & that's from someone who eats out at neighborhood bistros and fine-dining restaurants a lot. Many of our guests wanted to know who provided the meal. And all that based solely on Splash's reviews & website photos, plus Heather's professionalism. Give that girl a raise!

We cannot say enough good things about Splash.

Food: Out of this world. Got huge compliments from everyone and they went above and beyond to let us taste options before hand. Even let us show up with our dog and made him a little meal. :)

Service: By far the best thing about Splash, which should say something. Heather was amazing. Shes not your average caterer. Honestly, shes not. She was tag teaming everything w/ our day of coordinator, gave us awesome advice from the get go, and made our day seamless and just amazing. She even made sure we ate! Like, had a bit of everything waiting for us at our table! Cant say enough great things about her and her team. People even commented on how courteous and helpful her staff were. I would get Splash just for the service, and thats saying something because the food was awesome.

Other: we made their lives tough by ordering Madonna Inn cakes instead of traditional wedding cakes but they were champs. They cut the cakes perfectly, served them in record time, and made no fuss. So grateful.

Look no further and book Splash. Its more than just the catering. You'd be booking Heather and her team. Plus, if you wanted, and we did, they will also take care of renting all necessary dinner items (tables, cloths, cutlery, etc) and set them all up for you. Worth every penny.

Heather and the whole crew at Splash Cafe made my wedding the best day/night of my life. From the get-go, Heather was upfront and honest about the whole wedding process. She was positive, helpful and really went out of her way to put her all into our event. I initially hired Splash as our caterers. They were cost effective and the food was amazing. We did a taco bar and I know I'm biased, but it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding. They also let us supply our own alcohol so all we had to do was pay for bartenders- a great way to save money (heads up- Bevmo delivers for free!).

When I realized that I needed a day-of coordinator I immediately thought of Heather. I hired her and it was probably the best decision I made (other than deciding to marry my now husband). Heather even picked up my flowers the morning of my wedding. If there were problems the day of my wedding I never knew it. Every time I asked Heather how things were going she said "perfect!" Every single person involved with the wedding came up to me after and said how amazing Heather was. She was on top of everything without being overbearing or pushy.

I could honestly write a novel about my love for Heather and Splash catering, but I'll just say this: at your wedding or event you want the food to be good, the alcohol to flow, and everything to run smoothly. Heather made all of that happen for us and we are forever grateful.

Heather and Mike at Splash Cafe were awesome! From the start, Heather asked us questions we hadn't thought of but needed to. We were able to do a tasting with them where Mike (the chef) made us an assortment of plates to figure out exactly what we wanted. Heather then planned all of the rental details and logistics and kept us up to date with any changes. At the beginning of our engagement we had no idea what all went on for a wedding. Thanks to Heather and Mike everything was perfectly handled and could not have gone better. They were both very accommodating to any last minute changes or issues that arose the day of our wedding. If you want delicious food, professional and organized staff, and an incredibly smooth wedding day you absolutely need to work with Heather at Splash!

From the very beginning, we were very impressed with Splash Cafe! Our tasting was enjoyable, and Heather was very thorough and professional from the get go. It was an easy decision after that! Communication was made simple, and Heather always made sure to get a prompt answer to any questions (big or small) we had. Our wedding menu was absolutely delicious. Our guests went up for seconds and thirds! We keep hearing from our guests that they were very impressed with how professional the staff was, and found it quite special that Heather even made an effort to walk around and personally check on the tables. Our guests also went out of their way to mention to us that they were very pleased with Heather's overall coordination of things, and praised how smoothly everything was ran. We can't say it enough, but we are so very pleased with the services provided by Heather and Splash Cafe Gourmet Catering.

I wish I could rate Splash Cafe higher than 5 stars. Their catering coordinator Heather was so involved and accommodating to us, it was like having a second day of coordinator. I don't think our day would have gone so smoothly if not for her hard work. She and her staff took the time to set up my many decorations on the day of the wedding and she also took care of coordinating all of our rentals! I would recommend Splash on the basis of Heather alone, but their food was amazing too! So many people came up to us to let us know how much they enjoyed their dinner. We also did our cake and cookies through Splash and that was delicious too! Everything was very reasonably priced while maintaining quality. Overall extremely satisfied with our choice and would highly recommend them.

Heather and her team at Splash Cafe catered my wedding on 10/14 and my experience was amazing!

My husband and I are both vegan and we could not have been more satisfied with the menu that Heather helped us put together. The food was delicious and even our meat eating friends were impressed! They have an extensive list of options on their menu but were more than willing to put something unique together for us.

From the very beginning of our interaction Heather was responsive and helpful. In addition to making food recommendations she also helped me choose signature cocktails, colors, decor, place settings, etc. I really felt like she went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was perfect. I also really appreciated how transparent she was about the pricing of everything - there were no surprise fees that showed up at the very end.

She and my wedding coordinator worked together to make sure that everything was in order and the day went off perfectly.

If I could give splash cafe, and Heather, their coordinated 120 out of 5 stars I would. I have never been to a wedding where I was wowed by the food. (Always cold, boring, served too late, dry stale cake). But guys, let me tell you. The FIRST thing anyone said after my wedding was, “the food was amazing”. And I couldn’t agree more. We had some high demands for splash cafe. And they delivered way beyond what we even dreamed of. FIVE buffet tables. A personal cake for my husband and I. And a massive desert table. Wow. And it was all fresh, hot, and beautifully displayed. Thank you splash cafe.

And I want to say a special thank you to their coordinated Heather. Who also ended up not just being our food coordinator, and day of coordinator, but she coordinated the entire wedding. You were a blessing girl. I asked for a elegant, country, not country, classy, booze fest, not booze fest, cocktail extravaganza. (None of those things go together). And she DELIVERED. I told Heather exactly what I wanted (very vaguely), then I told her “I don’t know, I just want to show up, make the decisions for me, I trust you.”
There could never have been a more perfect wedding for me, my husband, and both of our families. You took everyone’s input and made it a dream come true. Safe to say, it would have been a disaster without Heather.

Splash Cafe is by the far the best wedding caterer on the Central Coast. We were thrilled with the food and service at our wedding in May 2017. Heather did a lovely tasting for me, my fiance, and my Mom and was extremely helpful advising me on all the details leading up to the wedding, especially quantity. She was positive and upbeat, and recommended some great complimentary vendors. We went with the pasta buffet, which was perfect for our outdoor venue. The alfredo sauce was devine, excellent meatballs and salads, and beautiful and delicious passed appetizers and stationary cheese plate. The chef, Mike, and his team were flawless on the day and it was absolutely stress-free for me. The servers were professional and I was glad I added the clean-up service. The cake and cupcakes were SO DELICIOUS. We went with chocolate cake with raspberry filling and lemon and red velvet cupcakes. The cake was beautifully iced and the perfect classic one tier, just as I'd wanted. I can't count the number of guests who told us afterward with highest compliments that the dinner was "not wedding food fare." If you are considering Splash, definitely go with them - you won't regret it!

We choose Splash Café to cater our wedding and I definitely added Heather’s month-of services as well. Best decision I ever made! Wow, is all I can say about Heather. She is amazing and if you are on the fence, don’t even think twice, hire Heather! Her services far exceed the month-on planning! She was available to me throughout my whole engagement and offered advice/input when I needed it and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. I can’t think of one moment where I was stressed, she took care of everything for me and I can’t thank her enough! So many family and friends came up to me after the wedding to tell me how amazing of a job Heather and Splash Café did. The food was delicious and affordable! Our wedding would not have been what it was without Splash and Heather! As soon as we did our tasting with Heather, we knew it was a perfect fit. Not only was the food absolutely perfect but the level of service was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Heather is a stellar coordinator and basically took care of everything in the last three months leading up to our wedding. She handled our rentals (even the last minute umbrella rentals for our 113 degree day!), food, coordinating all our other vendors...everything. Any questions or concerns we had we usually just followed up with "Let's see what Heather thinks" and they were taken care of. She is also so hilarious and makes everyone feel at ease throughout the entire process. As mentioned, it was 113 degrees the day of our wedding but Heather didn't break a sweat, setting up extra water stations and making sure everyone was cool and hydrated. She also kept an eye on our grandparents and older guests for us to make sure that they were comfortable all day.
Splash handled all of our food, bar tending, service, and dessert. The tri tip and chicken were unreal - the perfect central coast BBQ that we wanted. People are still telling us how good the food was a month later! The cupcakes and cutting cake that they made for us were beautiful and delicious and Heather even boxed up some leftovers and a bottle of champagne for us to take to our hotel!
The next morning when we came back to do a walk through and pick up our decor items, the entire venue had been cleaned up and everything was packed up for us to load into our car, including leftover food. Heather and her staff did such an amazing job and we would recommend them to anyone we know getting married!

Everyone we run into now, after the wedding, comments that this was the best wedding ever! You'd be crazy not to use Splash. Splash comes with Heather. This chick is straight up the best. She listens to every word you say as to what you want and what you don't want. She answers the weird requests with, "It's YOUR wedding!" She doesn't have a pretentious bone in her. She's real, wittingly funny, logistical as hell, yet creative, detailed and on time. She deals with all the various people involved so straight up and direct, with a slight bit of humor, but yet a clear message of what is expected out of each person. She lines up everyone, every vendor, every detail. But yet keeps everyone in a good mood. She's very calming to the wedding party letting them know she has their back. She's chill, calm and fast thinking while on the move to remedy any issue. As soon as we had Heather and saw her in action, from the first email, my daughter and I breathed a massive sigh of relief. We KNEW we could put it all in her hands. And we did. When Heather brought up a question as to 'what do you want to do here?', many times we looked at her and said, 'what do think ?' My go to response was, "Call Heather".......I admit, I checked out once I had her because I could. The wedding was not a stress because I gave all my stress to her!
The food was fantastic because of Chef Mike. I asked Mike to just do the menu because I trust him without reservation. We had poke, sushi, pasta, chower (of course), tacos, fried mac n cheese and sooo much more. We had so many different mini desserts out on the tables, from cream puffs, to chocolate thingys, to mini margarita cupcakes and a ton more. All unique. Everyone raved about the food. And their staff, is clean, quietly extremely efficient, smiling, unobtrustive, and fast. We had lots of changes in furniture and food presentations and the whole thing went off without a hitch. USE SPLASH!

I would recommend Heather and Splash Cafe 11 times out of 10. Not only did Heather make sure our wedding day went PERFECTLY, she was insanely helpful and thorough in the 3 months leading up to the wedding. She was super responsive and answered any questions I had within minutes. She put me (and my entire family and bridal party) completely at ease, was super organized and went above and beyond her duties as our day-of coordinator. I can't say enough good things about her.

On top of Heather's amazingness and expertise, the food from Splash Cafe was incredible. It's been a month after our wedding and we're still getting compliments about how delicious our dinner was. I honestly can't praise or thank both Heather and Splash enough for making our day more incredible than I could have ever imagine. Don't think twice about booking them!!

I decided to use Splash for my caterer after a friend used them for her wedding and said I would be crazy to use anyone else. She was right, working with Heather and Splash cafe was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. The food was fantastic and Heather is so amazing to work with. She made me feel so confident that everything would be perfect the day of my wedding and I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing. Splash was incredibly accommodating and our food was exactly what we wanted and so delicious. Our guests were raving about the food. We had some issues come up with the venue two weeks before the wedding and Heather went above and beyond and stayed at my final venue walk through for two extra hours helping us work through the details. She is incredibly efficient, professional, and everything you could want in your catering coordinator. If you are getting married in the SLO area I highly recommend using Splash for your catering. They are incredibly affordable for the amazing quality of the food and the staff.

Splash Café, led Heather and Chef Mike, exceeded our biggest expectations. The two have perfected the process of catering weddings around the Central Coast, serving both exquisite food and top notch service. Every tiny detail was thought of to make sure everything was going perfectly.

Mike leads in the preparation and cooking, much of which is done on site. We served both salmon and tri-tip which were grilled on site at our venue resulting in delicious, fresh food (and a great teaser all day smelling it cooking)! Every detail was meticulously addressed and our guests were raving about the food all through the night. Food allergies were easily accommodated and checked multiple times to make sure that the staff was all aware. Not only was the quality top notch but the quantity was also perfect and no one was left hungry. We fully admit that when we were first recommended to check them out we thought chowder, but don't be fooled as this team delivers top-notch, elegant food. We also had Splash cater the rehearsal dinner the night prior and again were beyond impressed. The pasta bar was the perfect answer for a casual dinner and a great preview of what was to come at the wedding.

Heather runs the show with grace and professionalism that resembles a 5-star restaurant, with plenty of fun and lighthearted humor to keep everyone smiling. Even when it threatened to rain, she had her crew instantly organized to move things if necessary. She made a point to check in with the wedding party when they arrived, bringing drinks and appetizers up to keep everyone full until dinner. Even beyond managing the catering, Heather went so above and beyond with helping take care of anything that came up. From helping us figure out how to get down the stairs with bouquets and dresses and heels to offering to help walk the dog, she was magically aware of anything that could be done to help.

We can't say enough how much we loved working with Splash!

Heather is so upbeat and professional – she doesn’t miss a single detail, answers any and all of your questions and makes you feel like you are her #1 priority. Heather also provides additional services to help you plan or coordinate your wedding/event and handles additional items, like rental linens and glassware, so that your event will look and feel exactly how you want it to.

On our wedding day, Heather and her team went above and beyond to make sure that my groom and I had everything we wanted to eat or drink. The food prepared for us by Chef Mike was exceptionally delicious, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Splash Café prepared our appetizers, a mixed chimichurri chicken/tri-tip bbq buffet, desserts (they can make cakes too!) and handled beverage services for us. Our friends and family could not stop talking about how fresh and tasty our wedding food was!!! I saw lots of people going back for seconds, and some even went back for thirds!

I cannot say enough good things about Splash Cafe catering. Heather is so professional, detail-oriented, patient, communicative, and everything you could want in a wedding vendor and then some. She has the best energy-- whether it's meeting to go over the menu or answering a long email list of questions, she always makes you feel you are her number one priority no matter how many other events she has going on. You can trust that even the smallest details or instructions will be executed perfectly without any follow-up or reminders.

At our actual wedding, even the guests noticed what wonderful service Heather provides. Personal touches like greeting parents of the bride and groom with drinks as soon as they enter the reception go a long way, and Heather never misses a beat. Even when our venue was throwing up roadblocks and generally being quite difficult to work with, Heather found ways to make it work. She made everything come together and was an absolute joy to work with. Thanks to Heather, our wedding was truly perfect and happier than I could have ever imagined.

Splash's food is amazing, even the pickiest guests loved everything-- the tri tip, the chicken with chimichurri sauce, the salad, even the garlic bread was raved about. Their value is incredible, I've never had better wedding food. I ate so much myself, and they say the bride never eats! The chef, Mike, cooks everything himself and even is present on site for the duration of the dinner to make sure everything comes out right and is served properly. Again, the level of service Splash provides is unparalleled.

If Splash is available your wedding weekend, look no further and book them. It's the best thing you can do to ensure your wedding planning is less stressful and your wedding day is perfect.

First off, Heather is amazing. We don't live in town so we used Splash as our caterer, baker, and they got linens for us through another company. We also ordered a few sandwich platters for the day before while we set up the hall. Food was amazing, desserts were beyond description (we had a desert bar with pies and cake), and service was impeccable. My day was awful. My dress was too big, my music didn't show, it rained, we were all soaked and we lost electricity, but we ate some goo a** food! The leftover food was wrapped up to go and we ate it for a few days after lol. Heather and Mike and Splash honestly saved my wedding.

Heather and her team at Splash are unbelievable. Not only is the food delicious (we had at least a dozen guest come up to us during and after the wedding telling us how amazing the food was...especially the tri-tip and mac & cheese), but the service far exceeded our expectations. I HIGHLY recommend Splash Cafe. We used them for a large (90+) Rehearsal Dinner in SLO. Our menu choice was the pasta bar (penne pasta, alfredo, marinara with meat balls, roasted vegetables, grilled chicken), garlic bread and cesar salad. The alfredo was by far the best I've ever had and our guests from all over the U.S. raved about the entire meal. Heather, the Catering Manager was easy to work with and responded immediately to every question and request I had. She provided a first rate tasting experience in July on the second story patio of Splash and made us feel like we were her only customers. On the evening of the event, Heather, her chef and and another staff member served appetizers, the meal, cleared plates, staffed the wine bar, placed the extra food in "to go" trays and left the kitchen at our venue, the Monday Club, clean and ready for inspection. This was an excellent meal and a true value for the price.

I used Splash as my caterer at my wedding as well as their event planner Heather Berkowitz as my day-of coordinator. I am SO elated with the job they did. I had so many guests come up at/after the wedding saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had (chicken and tri-tip, rosemary potatoes, Caesar and green salad, roasted veggies). I could write an essay on Heather. She didn't seem like a "day-of"
coordinator. She seemed like a full blown wedding planner. We emailed each other a couple of times a week for the whole year I was planning my wedding. This review is long overdue, but I can't say enough great things about Heather Berkowitz and Splash Cafe. We hired Splash for catering and for our wedding cake, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the cake was amazing. We also did late night clam chowder in mini bread bowls, and that was a HIT. Everyone still talks about it. We met Heather when we had our food and cake tasting. Everything was great and we knew right away that we did not need to look any further. After hiring Splash as our caterer, we mentioned to Heather that we needed a day-of coordinator. She let us know that she provides wedding coordination in addition to managing all food and beverage. We loved that idea and hired her right away. All I can say is that was the BEST decision we have ever made. I am an event planner for work and sometimes it's difficult to let go of situations and put them in the hands of others. Heather had everything nailed down and there is nothing that could have been done better – that's how amazing she is. Technically, she was "week-of" and "day-of" coordinator, but we were talking months before our wedding. She was there every step of the way and I could get a hold of her at a moment's notice. She was so responsive and she would call me with any questions. I remember talking with her on the phone a few weeks before the wedding and I was getting ready to do my last round of vendor calls. As soon as I got on the phone with her she said that she had already talked to the vendors and they were ready to go for the wedding. She did so much of the leg work and she works so hard to make sure your day is one you will never forget (in a good way of course!). We had one hiccup with the shuttles (not Heather's fault) and she had the problem fixed in minutes. I was so impressed by her energy, sense of humor, professionalism and her ambition. If you are looking for a caterer or event coordinator, look no further, you will not regret your decision.

Heather and Splash Cafe were fantastic to work with!
We had our wedding at the Avila Beach Golf Resort on a Sunday. We wanted a light and fun atmosphere and the food provided by Splash fit that perfectly. The chicken was delicious and the salmon was the favorite amongst our guests. All the food was fantastic and tasty! The Splash Menu was expansive and has choices to suit any wedding!
The cake was the bride's favorite thing! During the cake tasting there were many options and flexibility for us to design our own cake. We were still eating cake left overs a week later, no complaints!
There is not enough that can be said about Heather. Along with catering services she also was our coordinator. Her fun, yet professional attitude made working with her very easy. She is prompt in responding to all questions and concerns, which definitely helped in planning the wedding (and keeping the bride's stress level low). Organization and being detailed oriented are two of Heather's strongest attributes. We had a perfect day, with no problems because of Heather's coordination. Heather also has great relationships with vendors in the SLO area and communicated all wedding-related details as well as a perfectly organized timeline to all. Heather made sure that our wants and needs were her upmost priority and went above and beyond to make sure that we got to have our dream wedding. Also, having the catering cake and coordination all on one invoice made for ease of payments! We highly recommend Splash Cafe for food, cake, and coordination and feel so luckily to have gotten to work with this amazing vendor!

SPLASH CATERING IS THE BEST!!! First of all, Heather is a rockstar. She is so sweet and fun and helpful and accommodating and makes you feel like the most important bride in the world, even though she's probably dealing with dozens (if not more) at any given time. She was so quick to respond to my millions of questions (and was so patient with each one) for the year-long planning process. I had kind of a specific vision for the food I wanted not on their typical menu, and it was absolutely no problem for them to create it. And it was AMAZING- we got sooo many compliments on the food from our guests! The whole team was really fantastic on the day of. The best was that at the end of the venue, they broke down and cleaned up basically everything, making my day-after clean up a total snap (they even left the leftover food in the fridge for me!) Heather and the team at Splash catered my wedding at Pismo Beach on April 16th and I could not have asked for more! The reception was incredibly smooth and fun, largely in part to the personalized and professional service they provided. I would not hesitate to have Splash cater another event.

The basics:
-The food was phenomenal. We had options of clam chowder, chicken pasta, or vegan stuffed red peppers. Many of our guests went back for seconds and my "meat and potatoes only" uncle raved about the clam chowder bread bowl. They also offered many vegetarian and vegan dishes for us to choose from.
-The service- where to begin?! They brought appetizers down to the beach (4-5 blocks away + stairs) for the wedding party when we were tied up with our photographer, took drink orders, and had the drinks waiting at our tables when we arrived at the reception. Their flow was perfect and consistently a step ahead of the guests- by the time a few people were looking for the plates to be cleared from their tables, the tables had already been cleared. The bartender was awesome and there was never a long wait.

The extra:
-Rehearsal: Heather agreed to be my rehearsal coordinator at the last minute. She flawlessly organized a group of almost 20 people and in 75 minutes, everyone was confident in their roles. Her direction was succinct and clear and she gave feedback in a sweet and positive way. Leaving the rehearsal, my parents, aunt, and best ladies could not stop raving about how well she organized the rehearsal and how they loved her communication/direction style.
-Personalization: During the reception, Heather personally catered to a couple of my older family members. They had a fantastic time largely because of her help and this allowed my aunt (their daughter) to dance, drink, and enjoy the party. I never knew she did this until my aunt told me how much she appreciated Heather's help and how her parents had such a wonderful time.
Splash was absolutely perfect!

got our cake at Splash -- Susan asked me to send her pics of the design I liked, and it worked out perfectly. After a tasting, we went with white cake and lemon curd/ raspberry filling. It was DELICIOUS!!! I kind of wanted to smash some cake in my husband's face, but we both decided it was too good to waste, ha. Super reasonable price, very nice people to work with.

If you want a beautiful wedding cake that melts in your mouth look no further than the Splash Cafe. They created the wedding cake of my dreams. My cake was beautiful and was the best cake I have ever had. The hardest part about picking my cake was picking the flavor. All of their cake flavors are excellent. The Splash Cafe was wonderful to work with and far surpassed my expectations.

I used Heather and her crew with splash for my rehearsal dinner and I couldn't have been happier!!!! We wanted something casual with an upscale twist so we went with a burger and taco bar. The meats for each was AMAZING and cooked so well and all the toppings they provided for each was gourmet and took it to that extra level despite the buffet style we had. They also provided us with a bartender until our event was over and also someone to clean up afterwards and our place was left spotless. It was a perfect night in the back of the ranch house at Greengate Ranch thanks to Splash Cafe! I would recommend them for any type of event!!

Heather and her team at Splash are amazing! My wedding was perfect and everything was smooth thanks to Splash! Having good food was a top priority for us. Everyone raved about our bbq buffet, dessert bar (pies and mini cupcakes), and late night clam chowder treat! Not only was the food amazing but the service was superb. I hired Heather as my day of coordinator and she exceeded all my expectations. Heather also took care of my older guests with motility issues, helping them get their food and making sure their drinks were always filled. Thank you for putting this super detailed (slightly OCD :) bride at ease throughout the whole process! Thank you Splash for making the day perfect!

Our entire experience with Splash was absolutely wonderful! From our initial inquiry to the flawless service and food we received from them at our wedding. Their catering coordinator Heather is a freaking all star, she was hands down the best vendor we worked with-- on top of everything, incredibly accommodating, professional and just a pleasure to be around. We are a vegan family and knew catering would be one of our biggest challenges, delicious (vegan) food was one of my only must haves for the wedding. We were their first all vegan wedding, Splash took the challenge head on and knocked it out of the park. All of our guests were blown away by how delicious the food and cake were. As the bride who is distracted with so many things the day of, it was so wonderful to have zero worry about the table set-up/food and drinks. Since the wedding I have been told by almost every guest I've spoken to how impressed they were with Splash's staff, and how nice everyone was. In addition to handling our food, they also made our wedding cake and arranged all of our rentals. Only dealing with one contact for all three things was such a relief (especially when that one person is Heather). They come highly recommended!!

Susan at splash is wonderful!!! we chose to do a dessert bar and got a simple 1 tier choc/white cake wedding cake with brownies, strawberries, cheesecake, and cookies and it was just perfect!!! For a simple cake it tasted better than any fancy cake I've ever had!!! Love Splash!

To say we were happy with Splash catering our wedding is an understatement. We couldnt have chosen a better place to cater our food. I contacted Splash 2 months prior to our wedding after I had opted out of our original caterer, luckily our date was available (it was meant to be). Heather the catering coordinator was a pleasure to work with, her energy, enthusiasm and genuine personality made the experience of working with Splash so much better. She listened to our needs and truly made it happen! from the food, to the table set up to the bar! Everything was wonderful! There were two things that were a must for us at our wedding, good music and good food! Splash catered an amazing hearty meal for our guests that they all loved! (and it kept them full through the night which is always a good thing) But it wasnt just the food, the staff including the chef, the bartenders ther waiters, they were all great and took care of all of our guests! We really got the full package with this team and we couldnt have asked for more! Thank you!

Splash Cafe Bakery is fantastic! I didn't know when I was planning my wedding that they did cakes. I was so surprised to find out how delicious the cakes are and the beautiful designs they are capable of making! My cake was amazing! I did three different flavors on each tier and they all three were fantastic and left the bride (me), groom, and guests wanting more!!! The decoration was pretty spot on to the picture I sent in to the baker Susan and the cake arrived on time and without a mark. Susan was pleasant to communicate with and responsive and made my experience with ordering my wedding cake really fantastic! She even set up a tasting for my mom and I and sent me home with samples for my fiance. I LOVED my cake and have since recommended them to a few others. One recently ordered her wedding cake from them as well, and had the same experience and enjoyment! :D

Splash Cafe catered my wedding in May; this review is long overdue! My husband and I recommend choosing Heather and her team for so many reasons. In the planning process, they were the most relaxed and accommodating vendor we talked to; Heather and Chef Mike put together the most lovely tasting, and made great suggestions for putting together our menu. Heather went above and beyond to answer all of our questions; she always responded the same day (if not the same hour!) to our emails. Our venue (the Dallidet Adobe) had a very tight timeline for setup and takedown; she helped us plan the schedule and layout in advance, so the day of was really smooth. She coordinated all of our rentals and brought extra tables at no charge to help us fill in some last-minute gaps. I know there are other details she took care of that we didn't ever think of! The wedding day was absolutely flawless: setup (and takedown, in the dark!), food, service, everything. The dinner was so delicious (tri-tip, shrimp kebobs, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, veggies, fennel and orange salad, ciabatta, and tomato tarts and bruschetta for appetizers)--our guests raved about all of it! The servers were ultra-professional. Our wedding was very low-key so it was important that all of the details were right; we are incredibly grateful to Heather and the catering team for giving us the perfect wedding. Splash was ahh-mazing!!! I can't say enough about Splash catering and their team. Mike, the chef, is wonderful and so good at what he does; our guests were definitely not disappointed, or hungry! Heather, catering coordinator, is superb. Let me just start with her responsiveness. I could email Heather any time, day or night, and she always responded so quick! Sometimes I was shocked at how fast she replied; I appreciated this so much with all the wedding craziness going on! Heather always had an answer or an idea if I had a question. She definitely knows her job and does it well. She won over my family and was a go-to person on the big day. Heather made sure my fiancé and I sampled our signature drink and saved us appetizers (our favorite part) while our guests enjoyed them at cocktail hour and we took pictures. I would hire Splash again on the basis of Heather alone!
The food was amazing. We had buffet style and I would do it again. My dad, a big barbecue guy, initially had concerns about the tri-tip being dry in a buffet line. The tri-tip was absolutely perfect and even dad approved. Splash also did our desserts and our cake. Fabulous. Nothing more to say.
I would definitely recommend Splash to anyone looking for an all around excellent catering experience.

Splash Cafe did an amazing job creating my dream dessert table for my wedding. I ordered an 8 inch cutting cake as well as mini cupcakes, cookies, brownies, mini pies and crumb bars for a wedding of 200 plus. Everything was amazingly decorated, arrived on time and just as discussed, and Susan and Heather were fun to work with. You even get to taste everything beforehand to help you pick flavors. I feel like I got an amazing value with Splash Cafe's desserts and would definitely recommend them for weddings!

Where can we even begin? Heather and the Splash catering team made our wedding the wedding of our dreams. We originally went with Splash Cafe just for their catering services, but after meeting Heather, we knew that she would be the perfect fit as our day-of coordinator as well. Heather is incredibly amiable, professional, witty, but most of all honest about what works and what doesn't for a wedding. The food was amazing, and everyone raved about Chef Mike's Tri-tip and Mac and Cheese. On top of organizing the day of and meeting with us several times before the wedding, Heather also ran our rehearsal, contacted our vendors, and created a very detailed timeline of the day. All in all, choosing Splash (and Heather) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day, as they were perfect in every way. Thank you so much!!

Thank you Splash Cafe for providing the phenomenal desserts and cake for our recent wedding in the Central Coast area. We had planned to have a dessert bar for the wedding and needed a caterer who understood our desire to have a variety of delicious treats to accompany the "naked wedding cake." Susan, at Splash Cafe prepared a tasting for us and really understood what we were trying to achieve, recommended the right combinations for the dessert table and delivered outstanding quality. Our naked cake was a wonderful vanilla cake with raspberry mousse filling decorated with lavender leaves. That was accompanied by cheese cakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, and blueberry and salted caramel bars. Delicious.

She knew exactly what I needed (knew even a few things I needed that I didn't know) she was communicative, and quick to respond. All of the splash cafe employees were so nice and helpful through the whole process. I would like to give a special shout out to the bartender they provided for just being patient and good humored even though we had more than a few intoxicated guests. Also the food was simply amazing we had so many of our guests rant and rave and ask if there were seconds! Splash went above and beyond the call of duty multiple times. Splash Cafe is amazing in itself. Splash Cafe's Gourmet Catering is another story entirely. We hired them to cater our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The food for both events was fantastic.. They made it so easy for us to customize a menu that fit our wedding. My groom's family is in the restaurant business and the food is very important to them and we wanted everything to be as perfect as possible. Splash Cafe surpassed our expectations as well as both of our families and we received so many compliments. The desserts were to die for. Heather even made sure to save some for my husband and I so we could taste them. Our cake was adorable, exactly how I had pictured it. They have some amazing talent cooking and baking there. Mike is awesome and it seems like there's nothing he can't pull off!!

So Heather- hire Splash on her alone. She is the catering coordinator/manager. best decision we could have made. The food will speak for itself and there's no question it's amazing but you NEED Heather as your coordinator. They like to refer to it as "day-of coordinating" but I assure you it was way more than that. She helped us with everything from making decisions for set-up to creating our timeline, and so so so much more. She is super responsive and answered every email within a couple of hours max. She ran our rehearsal and made everything flow so well. The day of the wedding, I was in a complete daze all day. Nerves were so high, I didn't even know what was happening most of the time. You will be the same way! Guaranteed. Heather took charge of every aspect of our wedding. At one point she was even taking care of my 14 month old flower girl before she went down the isle. Everything was so organized and perfect. We truly believe our day was as perfect as it was because of her. I don't know what I would have done without her. Words can't express our gratitude. Splash Cafe wedding catering is amazing on its own, but what makes this vendor truly amazing is their awesome head of catering, Heather. I'll get back to Heather in a minute, let's discuss food. We are big 'foodies' and wanted memorable and delicious food at our wedding, on a budget. I plan events for a living, and hands down, Splash is the best that I've worked with. Customizing your menu with Splash (and Heather!) was extremely easy and we were able to tailor every little thing as much as we wanted. Heather made great suggestions on what items were the most popular, and which would go together best. We ended up having a really diverse appetizer list, the amazing butternut squash soup and then a mix of salmon, tri tip and veggie main courses. And all of it was way less $ than most of the other caterers in the area! Super customizable menu + easy on the budget = big win for us.

During our taste test, we fell in love with the food, and I ended up dreaming about it until our wedding. Seriously, it was that good. And everyone at the wedding raved about it as well. We had mini pies and cheesecakes for our dessert rather than cake, and everyone loved them.

Okay, back to Heather. You should hire Splash based on her alone. She is super responsive, easy to work with, SO friendly and cool and a total take charge kind of person. Our coordinator wasn't ideal day of, and Heather stepped in and handled everything so the wedding would stay on track! She saved the day in terms of timing and working with the DJ, and I'm extremely grateful to her for that. She also knew our venue really well, and was able to make helpful suggestions on where things should go.

Hiring Splash was definitely one of the best decisions we made with this wedding, I highly recommend you check them out.

We used Splash Cafe to cater our wedding this past weekend. Working with them was nothing short of fantastic.
If anyone has ever planned a wedding, you can understand how completely stressful and tedious it can all be. And often times when you contact a "reputable" caterer, you won't even get a return phone call or email. That was not the case with Splash Cafe. Upon inquiry, I was immediately contacted by their head of catering, Heather Berkowitz who was professional and friendly and eager to work with us AND our budget to provide our 120 guests a fabulous meal and dining experience for our wedding.
We were incredibly impressed by the menu options. And for those who do not know, Splash Cafe is so much more than clam chowder bowls and baked goods. They offer a whole separate catering menu that will accommodate a casual dinner, to a super upscale dining experience- and something in between (like we had) to your guests.
We have received nothing but raves about the food served this past Saturday. Further more, I never felt pressured into any decisions regarding the planning process. Heather was FULL of great ideas, so many things we had not considered that would make our guests comfortable and satisfied. I was in constant contact with Heather throughout the entire 10 month planning process via email and phone. I never had to wait more than a few hours for any questions I had. Again, this rarely happens in the catering world.
There were so many moving parts and small details involving our wedding, but using Splash Cafe was an integral part of our day. Our wedding was a huge, HUGE success due to Heather and the lovely crew at Splash cafe. They were professional, helpful, friendly and so eager to make our day really special (and delicious).
Although I can't imagine planning a party of that magnitude again, I do hope I get to use their services again sometime.
I encourage anyone and everyone to use Splash for their event. They are phenomenal.

In this Yelp day and age where it's customary to critique an experience it's a rare thing to look back and say you received a perfect service, but that's exactly what we had with Splash. They catered, provided the wedding cake, and made sangria (a nod to our honeymoon in Spain) for our wedding as well as arrange work with their vendor for dinnerware, glassware, flatware, and even dance floor.

Our contact Heather was amazing!! She was incredibly responsive and a great consultant throughout the entire experience. The food their chef prepared was delicious and we had a bunch of guests mention to us how good the food was during the wedding. Also, Heather was also able to help us make the most out of our budget and and figure out how we could get the best bang for our buck.

Delicious food, sangria, and cake. Excellent job setting up the venue. Excellent servers and bartenders. Wonderful consulting and service preparing for the wedding. Affordable. We truly couldn't have asked for anything more!

We have been fans of Splash Cafe for years and when we found out they did catering we knew we had to have them cater our wedding. From the beginning Heather and Mike were so great. The tasting was fantastic and we were sold instantly! Over the months Heather did an amazing job checking in with us and keeping us up to date with everything we needed to do to ensure that our reception was a success.

They helped us with appetizer suggestions, dinnerware, glassware, linens and so much more. The day of the wedding went so smooth Heather, Mike, and their Splash team delivered phenomenal service and food. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was and how great the staff was doing. We are eternally grateful for all of their dedication and hard work. Heather and Mike were fantastic to work with. From the moment we first met with them, I knew Heather would be the perfect person to have running the catering at my wedding (before we even tried the food). She was very responsive to my emails (I sent a lot) she would acknowledge that she had received my email and if she didn't have the answer right away, she would let me know when she would have it by.

The food was fantastic! We did a BBQ tri tip, chicken, salad, potatoes, and veggies for dinner. Heather and Mike both worked with us to adjust the menu until it met everyone's qualifications. They also made a special salad that was a family recipe. For appetizers we had multiple tastings to come up with exactly what we wanted. They allowed us to modify their options and come up with some brand new ones. We also did a late night snack of mini clam chowder bread bowls.

On the day of Splash went above and beyond my expectations. Heather not only ran the food and table set up but helped with anything that we needed. She made sure that our reception area looked just as I had invisioned. They made sure that as the bride and groom we were able to actually eat our meal and try the appetizers. At one point Heather even drove me across the venue to use the restroom!

In addition, we ordered our three tier wedding cake from Splash. They made it look just like the pictures we provided and it tasted delicious.

This was a fantastic vendor to work with and I had no worries the day of.

Splash Catering provided us with catering in our home for our rehearsal dinner, and the food and service was fabulous. We had a higher end taco bar, and all of our guests loved it.

Splash Artisan Bakery made our wedding cake, and it was gorgeous, tasty and everyone raved about it. We hired their caterers to serve it for us and they did a great job.

Susan made the cake we imagined, and the result was phenomenal.

What can I begin to say about Heather and her team... their tagline on here says, "Anything Your Heart Desires ~ We Will Exceed Your Expectations" and this is an understatement.

From the moment we sat down for a tasting, I felt like my best friend was getting ready to cater my wedding. Heather really listens and works hard to bring to life the perfect wedding vision my husband and I had in our head. She got to know our whole family, and was always speedy with her responses to my endless questions... and she ALWAYS put my nerves at ease.

I would hire Heather again in a second, and only wish I lived in the area so we could come stop by SPLASH in the mornings to grab coffee with her!

Oh, and I should mention, our guests RAVED about the food, she worked seamlessly with our other vendors, and their desserts are to DIE for... even the wedding cake is good.... and we NEVER like wedding cake!

We went with Splash Café in SLO to do our wedding cutting cake and cupcakes. Susan was so easy to work with and easy to communicate with and they provided us with top notch cupcakes and cake. Everything was so tasteful and fresh come the day of our wedding and our cupcakes and cake did not melt in the sun on our wedding day. We definitely will be coming back for more baked goods in years to come.

We are so thankful for Heather for making our wedding just as perfect as we hoped, you went over and beyond with everything especially the last minute changes. Your team is definitely amazing! The food is just so good especially the herbed salmon :)

When we found out that our favorite local cafe also did catering, we were so happy. To top it off, the catering menu is fully customizable. We picked our favorite items off the regular menu and picked some "fancier" dishes for our main entree. And Splash is a one stop shop for some rental items as well.

Heather B. was attentive, helpful and patient with us during the entire menu planning process. She listened to our needs, and never hesitated to offer suggestions when we needed it. When you're a bride, there are so many decisions to make. Any vendor that helps make those decisions easier is invaluable to the planning process. During my planning, I felt fully confident in the service and professionalism of Heather.

And on our special day, Heather and her staff were friendly and courteous to our family. Vendors become an extension of you on your wedding day. It's crucial to pick the right people to represent you. Heather and Splash Cafe was it for us.

Splash Cafe did the catering for my wedding. The food was amazing, we had them do tri tip (does anyone not like tri tip?) and the cup cakes were all gone way before the event ended, one of my bridesmaids did eat three of them. But what really made my day as I bride was the service. The day of the event I got my hair and make up done, and while I left to take some pictures, I came back and everything looked beautiful. I'm not even sure what happened, but between the caterer and two bridesmaids everything got set up and decorated in the matter of an hour. It went from boxes and plain tables to everything set up and I as the bride didn't even do anything. Heather really knew what to do, she stayed to the schedule and the food was amazing (also the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer is amazing, bacon wrapped anything is definitely a good thing to have at weddings).

Splash Cafe and the Lady that is not only in charge of catering, but was present at the wedding, supervising her staff and assisting in the set-up, serving and break down are without a doubt one of the finest outside venue caterers that I've ever worked with. Although this event was for the wedding of my daughter, I work with caterers at a local club on the Monterey Peninsula and know quality when I see it!

The food, the presentation, the customer service, etc., etc. all surpassed my very high expectations. The old adage that "you get what you pay for" is true, however Splash Cafe's pricing is still reasonable when you consider what you get and how your guests will rave about about the quality of the food and the team that serves it.

If you want a plate full of tough Tri-Tip and doctored can beans you can hire one of the low-end local BBQ kings, BUT......If it's quality and class that you want, i guarantee that Splash Cafe and Gourmet Catering will not let you down!

My rehearsal dinner was a success. I had to plan this event from out town. I couldn't believe how helpful the staff was with suggestions ideas for our tables. The table lay out was perfect and all of the food was great. The cookies and cheese cake were enjoyed by all. I couldn't have asked for a better evening. I will defiantly recommend your Gourmet Catering service to anyone who needs a professional to cater their event.

I planned our wedding in 3 weeks due to my fiance's impending deployment. We were having an afternoon wedding and wanted hor's d'oeuvre's along with a wedding cake. I was really worried about catering on such short notice and thought I might have to go with meat/cheese/veggie trays from the supermarket. Supermarket food would have had me baking our cake, not my first choice! To complicate matters, my mother has to eat gluten-free and dairy-free. While she insisted that shouldn't be a consideration, I didn't want her left out. So there's the back-story. I called several places and made an appointment with Splash Cafe.

Heather and Susan at Splash Cafe were amazing. They put together a tasting for us on short notice and were happy to discuss an hor's d'oeuvre's plate and cupcake that would be gluten-free and dairy-free, even though they hadn't done that combination before. In fact, while Susan had done gluten-free, and she had done dairy-free, she had not had a reason to combine both together and she was EXCITED for the challenge of combining both and being able to offer those options to future customers. We left the tasting with a menu and cake decided.

I had no worries about the food or cake the day of the wedding. Both Heather and Susan were there early to set it all up. No need for me to stress about where they were. And since they provided the table and linen and everything to serve the food, that was less for me to rent elsewhere.

The food was spectacular. The cake was spectacular. Everyone loved it. (I even got to sneak some before the ceremony.) And honestly, my mom was blown away that they would not only create something special for her, but that it tasted great. It meant a lot to me that they would be willing to meet her needs. (And that they would relish the challenge!) I would recommend them without reservation.

I will start with the attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff, from the bartenders to the wait staff, Chef Mike, and Heather, the catering coordinator. My guests couldn't stop raving about the food or the amazing service. Splash Café also made the cakes for the bridal shower and for the wedding. The cakes were absolutely out of this world in perfection of my vision in taste, in quality, in everything!
Heather was so pleasant to work with and was genuinely excited for me and my (now) husband. She was always so patient and helpful when I was clueless, quick to respond when I had questions and requests.
I would recommend Splash Café Catering to anyone looking to plan an event.

Heather, Mike and the entire team were FABULOUS. Very professional, flexible, and efficient. They were fantastic from start to finish- planning, tastings, day of, clean up... etc. And the food... MY GOD it was delicious! We had the tri tip AND chicken option and not only was it perfectly cooked, but the prices are beyond reasonable. They also served our bar and they were quick and heavy handed - just like we wanted! I love SPLASH.

Heather and the Splash Cafe crew provided us the best possible service we could ever ask for at our wedding at the Seacrest Hotel in Pismo! Heather went out of her way to accommodate us in every possible way! All of our food was delicious and our guests were raving about it the whole night. You can't get better food for a better price anywhere else! I would only use Splash Cafe for a big event in the future!

I am so glad we used Splash for our wedding catering and cake. Heather was absolutely amazing to work with through the whole process! She was quick to respond with all my questions along the way and the day of she went WAY above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and so were our guests. I can not say anything bad about Heather and her staff and heard nothing but good things from my guests about the food and staff as well.
Susan was also so great and easy to work with and made my wedding cake exactly what I had pictured and it tasted even more amazing!!!
Thank you guys so much for making such a big impact on making our wedding day so perfect!

Splash Cafe was a dream to work with! Heather was so accommodating with anything we wanted for the wedding. She was upbeat and fun to work with. Not only did they do an amazing job with the food, but their team helped with anything we needed on the day of the event. They took care of things like moving chairs in from the beach to the tables after the ceremony and so many other little details that we might not even have thought of. They made the day run so smoothly and showed up earlier than we had expected them. They definitely went above and beyond what expected of them.

They made the cake too! It tasted amazing and was beautiful.

Words cannot describe how happy we were that we chose Splash Catering for our wedding day! Heather, is top notch. She is imply amazing, attentive, supportive and so very knowledgable and informative. She was with us in every decision, every step of the way. We were from out of town and decided to marry in SLO. We drove up for a tasting and we were sold immediately! Mike, the chef is the man!!! Our wedding day was simply amazing! The consensus for our wedding was three things. The wedding day was magical, the food was incredible and the cake left everyone wanting more!!!!! We heard that from all our guest! The food was simply incredible. The cake(s) were to die for! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our special day! It wouldn't have been what it was, without you guys!! We couldn't have been more thankful for the service Splash provided. The servers were so sweet, nice and extremely professional! A few of our out of town guests actually made it over to Splash Cafe on the day after the wedding before heading out to enjoy some more food! Again, everything was amazing! Thank you once again!!!

Splash Cafe was amazing from start to finish. When multiple caterers couldn't meet our needs, they came through. Heather, our coordinator, accommodated us in tastings, meetings and emails. They provide excellent communication and follow through. At the last minute, they were able to order heaters for our wedding with no problem whatsoever. The food was amazingly delicious and an excellent value. On the day of the wedding, I was worried it wasn't all going to get set up in time, and they, not only did what they said, but picked up the slack on what we couldn't finish. They helped clean up as well and rolled with any last minute changes to the timeline. They are not only caterers but great coordinators and will ensure your wedding happens on time and to the highest standard. Thank you!

The baker at Splash is Amazing! Our Peanutbutter Frosted chocolate ganache cake was to die for! She made the frosting look like sand for our sea theme! The next morning our family came to our room to finish off the cake for breakfast! We also had 3 different kinds of delicious cupcakes, our guests are still raving! The best baker out there! Yum!

Being from "out of town" but very familiar with their location in Pismo, I was delighted to learn that they offered catering. Heather and her team were absolutely fabulous. Best Bakery in San Luis Obispo and the Central Coast! I sent inquires to many bakers in the area BUT received THE BEST service, QUALITY, and professionalism from Splash Cafe! Not only did they help me design a gorgeous cake, they also helped me think outside of the box and add details that I would never think of! I would highly recommend Splash Cafe for any event. Splash Cafe & Bakery was our vendor for our wedding cake for our recent wedding. Our cake turned out AMAZING! One of our wedding planners has been doing weddings for 30 years and she said our cake was one of the prettiest she has ever seen. It was exactly what we wanted. Susan and her staff were great to work with, very responsive to emails and phone calls, and accommodated any changes even up to the last minute and on top of it all our cake was delicious! I would recommend them to anyone for their big day!
