The Best of the Best

We hired Ryan to run our ceremony sound and emcee our reception and would hire him again and again! We had a band, but wanted the finesse that Ryan brings for introductions, first dances, and announcements. He proved the perfect pair with our band and DJ'd during the band's break. Our guests LOVED him! Thank you Ryan!

The Dance Floor Was PACKED!

Seth was amazing to work with! He asked us what type of event we wanted early on in the process and made it happen. My only request was once people were on the dance floor, keep them there, and boy did he! I had multiple people tell me the next day every time they thought about sitting down another awesome song came on and they had to keep dancing! Seth & SPIN helped make my wedding the party of my dreams.

Our dance floor was insane.

Ryan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and people were asking for his business card for their upcoming weddings. I actually hired him because he was so good at my friends wedding as well. Then, when you get to know him, you realize how much he loves his job and how professional he is. I HIGHLY recommend Ryan for any event. He made our wedding one people are still talking about.

Made our wedding the MOST fun!

Ryan from SPIN was a huge part of why our wedding turned out so amazing! He was great at facilitating transitions, so kind and supportive of me (the bride) while I was overwhelmed and stressed (as all brides are), and set the most fun tone for the whole wedding. I had friends coming up to me all night asking where we'd found him and how they could book him for their own events! I love that Ryan went table-to-table to chat with guests and get an idea of how to appropriately match the music to the crowd. He really made everyone feel engaged in the event. If you want people dancing all night, I would 100% recommend SPIN. They are BY FAR one of the best choices I made in planning our wedding. We weren't he easiest crowd, with my love of EDM/house/hip hop and my husband's of top 40's but he totally made it work in the best way!

RYAN is the BEST in the business!

I have worked with him in the corporate arena, as well as, personally as our wedding DJ. He has a calm, cool, and collected personality that you can rely on. He brought the party to the dance floor - which is exactly what we wanted. Additionally, he went above to put our speakers at ease before they gave their reception speeches. Thank you Ryan!

Ryan was great! We got a chance to meet with him before the wedding to go over what kind of music we wanted and the vibe we wanted, and he absolutely delivered (even when the kids we had at the wedding took over the floor).

We had guest raving about the music. Definitely worth every cent!

If you want to have a wedding reception people will remember- look no further than SPIN!

Y'all. Dancing at our wedding reception was in my top things that was important to me. We wanted our guests to have a great experience (who doesn't?!) and we knew we wanted them to walk away having danced the night away. My now husband and I had been to too many wedding where no one was dancing, it was only the bridal party or by the end of the night everyone had left before the event was over. We made it our mission to have a packed dance floor ALL night- and Ryan delivered and then some. I had come on wedding wire to read reviews and that's how I found Ryan- he is a DJ like none other. He geniunly cars about the music that he is playing and that it is catering to the guests. He took the time to walk around and introduce himself to our guests and was an expert at guaging our crowd to keep the dance floor packed. He actually was probably too good. Because instead of doing the proper thing and going around after dinner and talking to all the tables and guests....from song #1 I was out dancing until our very last song. I can't believe how fast the night went and all our guests have made multiple comments since after attending other weddings that ours had more people dancing the entire night. Ryan even had a little fun with the fact that I'm originally from Ohio and my husband is from North Carolina when I pointed out the fact there was a lot of Northerners in the room this evening and we did a fun North vs South song/dance battle that our guests LOVED. Really I could go on and on about how much we loved the music and if you've made it this far and haven't gone to book him yourself then great- now go and do it before you regret it!

Dave had everyone at our wedding on the dance floor from start to finish. He was super communicative during the planning process and accommodated (I think) every single one of our requests. I was worried that nobody would dance, but that was DEFINITELY not something I needed to worry about!!! Thanks, Dave, for making our wedding perfect!

We wouldn't have considered anyone but Ryan to DJ our wedding. Luckily, Ryan also handled the sound for the ceremony and all of the lighting. He made it a fun atmosphere and his entire crew helped everything run smoothly. We absolutely would recommend Spin to anyone looking!

Ryan is absolutely incredible!! He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and wedding reception. I have never seen more people dancing at a wedding in my life! People could not stop talking about how great the music was and how much fun they had at our wedding. Ryan was always so patient, flexible and kind leading up to the wedding. He gave great insight whenever we had questions. Ryan is a master of his craft and truly loves what he does. Not only is he a brillant DJ, he is also a charismatic entertainer and wonderful person. My husband and I's top priorities for our wedding - good food, good music and good drinks! We wanted a party and boy, did Ryan Pflumm at SPIN deliver! From our first meeting to the end of our wedding reception - we had the best experience with Ryan!

We met with Ryan a few weeks before our wedding to pick out songs for our ceremony, dinner and reception. Rather than giving you a list of popular songs and saying here pick a few; Ryan will ask you how you want your guests to feel throughout the night and the vibe in the room for each part of the wedding. He will then guide you through songs that fit this vibe until you pick the perfect song. He spent so much time with us during this meeting and really listened to us. He exceeded our expectations and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Ryan truly understands the science to being a great DJ. Ryan doesn't just play music, he is a DJ with pure talent. Ryan is the absolute best!!

SPIN and Al-Ski Love were absolutely the best choice we could've made as our wedding DJ. Al-Ski Love (or Allen) was kind and professional, leading up to our wedding and day-of. SPIN provides a portal for you to add your own songs to be played at your event, but Al-Ski Love also threw in a couple of his favorites that flowed well with ours during our reception and everyone had a wonderful time. We played a short video of our ceremony during the reception, and Allen and his team handled the logistics of the projector and screen. Oftentimes you go to weddings where everyone is formally dressed and the DJ is in casual wear, but not Allen - he too was in a black suit and tie. It's those examples that show SPIN and Al-Ski Love's dedication to professionalism and service. Overall, superb job. Would recommend to anyone.

Allen Smith from SPIN DJ'd our wedding. He did an excellent job. He kept everyone dancing and played a great mix that had wide appeal across our diverse guests. He customized his set and made our day very special. I would definitely recommend him!

Ryan and the rest of the Spin team were absolutely amazing. We decided to use the DJ Fusion where Ryan would DJ with the support of a live band (5 instruments: sax, 2 horns, guitar, drums), and it was absolutely amazing, beyond any of our expectations. From our first meetings with him, Ryan was extremely approachable, friendly, and professional, and clearly had a strong understanding of not only the vision we had for our wedding, but of how to run a party. Coming from the New York area, we wanted to do something a little different from the standard Southern wedding, and Ryan immediately got it. We changed up the typical timeline to intersperse dancing with the meals, and he knew JUST how to get the party going -- literally nobody wanted to sit down to eat. We worked with him on the song list, and he was completely accommodating to everything we wanted to do, while also providing feedback and suggestions on music and flow.

At the wedding, Ryan covered both the ceremony and the reception. He worked with our planner (Katie from La Fete- also AMAZING!) to make sure everything was set up and running smoothly, and all of the music and sound was flawless for the ceremony. The reception was, hands down, the best party of my life, and though I might be a little biased, the fact that the dance floor was literally full from 9:00PM to 1:00AM is pretty hard to argue with. Ryan was able to read the dance floor, mix in the songs that were important to us while getting everyone up and moving, and the live instruments added so much life and energy to the room that we actually had to pull people off the floor at 1:00. He even donned a full Harry Potter robe in honor of our wedding theme and Halloween weekend, which was an awesome (x10000) touch to the perfect night.

Overall, I cannot recommend Ryan and Spin DJ enough, and especially recommend the Fusion option!

We worked with Ryan for our ceremony and reception music and couldn't be happier! He met with us multiple times to understand the vibe we wanted to create, what was important to us for our wedding day, and what types of music we wanted to play for each of the "events" throughout the night (cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, etc.). Ryan also worked with us to create an awesome mashup for our announcement, and we were thrilled with how it turned out! We went to him with a few songs we wanted to incorporate and gave him the creative liberty to do the rest; we are glad that we did! We received numerous compliments about the music, from the most indie cocktail hour and dinner music to the late night dancing music. We have zero complaints and definitely recommend Ryan and Spin!

Full disclosure- when I first met Ryan at a bridal show, I wasn't sure if we clicked that well. I continued to survey the DJ scene around town. And I kept running into guys who were flaky, bad at following up on calls, or seemed like they belonged in a club somewhere on a Saturday night (not my wedding). After reviewing my options, I thought back to our initial interaction and realized that Ryan really stood out. So I called him up and booked him. And when our wedding day came, he KILLED it. Looking back, I can't believe that I ever doubted him. I attribute so much of the incredible night that we had to his talent and skill. He is amazing at reading a crowd to keep the energy right where you want it. He went above and beyond, even offering to stay a bit later for us. And he made it feel less like he was there out of obligation and more like he was part of our crowd. We were thrilled to have Ryan spinning for us. He is a great person and great at what he does. I can honestly say that I would recommend him without hesitation for any event!

We booked Alan as our DJ for the reception. He was professional and understood exactly what we wanted and needed. We gave him a few K-POP songs to play for our wedding and everyone had a good time. He knew exactly which song to play and was able to read the energy of the guests. Everyone had a fabulous time. Before the wedding, Alan set up a few meetings with us to first discuss what we were looking for and what services we needed. The next meeting we discussed the music and what genre of music we wanted at cocktail hour, dinner, and for dancing at the reception. Everything went smoothly and we were super pleased to have booked SPIN!

Ryan was absolutely fantastic!! Having a DJ that would be able to keep our guests dancing all night long was such an important part of our big day, and we found that with Ryan! The planning process was easy and Ryan was super helpful in answering questions and giving recommendations, and on the day of he brought a great energy and style. He incorporated all the music styles we asked for and we had guests dancing all the way till the very end! We especially loved his exuberance and how he went and introduced himself to all the guests - they all loved him!!

My husband and Allan (DJ Al-Ski) from SPIN and he was AMAZING! He did such an amazing job with our cocktail hour and reception that we would highly recommend anyone to go with SPIN. He's extremely professional, friendly and can cater to any audience with any vision.

The Planning-Allen was very thorough in this phase of the wedding and from the initial meet and greet he made us feel comfortable. My husband and I had a vision for what we wanted (dancing!), but Allen took time to explain how a reception and cocktail hour are driven. His questioning opened our eyes to more details and gave fantastic suggestions to us. Additionally, we were strapped for time leading up to the wedding, so Allen made sure to check-in to keep us on track with song selection and thinking about future meetings and other activities in the reception.

The Coacktail Hour and Reception--People glowed about the music that was played during the cocktail hour. Allen set everything up well and set the tone for the wedding. Moving to the reception, Allen appropriately engaged the audience while people were eating. We were a little behind in our timing and Allen got us back on track without rushing through any activities. The activities themselves had special touches that Allen recommended that had our family and friends touched--it was awesome! Additionally, the transitions between speeches, bouquet and garter tosses, father-daughter, mother-daughter and mother-son dances were absolutely seamless. He knew when to provide mic's ask questions and manage the music for everything to feel perfect. Lastly, I must say that our vision was executed flawlessly as people were dancing all night!

Again, my husband and I HIGHLY recommend SPIN. The wedding of your dreams will happen!

Having previously attended two (fun) weddings DJ'ed by SPIN, we knew when we began planning our wedding that we wanted Allen from SPIN to be our DJ. He was very responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, including an initial Skype meeting and an in-person planning session. When we met with him, we hadn't yet nailed down the reception events or timeline, and he helped us think everything through. He was flexible when we made some last-minute changes a few days before the wedding, and he was very helpful in making decisions about cocktail hour and dinner music when we didn't know exactly what we wanted. During the reception, Allen was friendly, professional, and on top of things; he walked around and took requests from guests during dinner, kept things on schedule as much as possible without rushing anyone, and made changes to the schedule as needed. Most importantly, he played great music that had everyone dancing! We had a variety of people at the reception and wanted to make sure that we had some music for everyone; Allen did a wonderful job transitioning the music throughout the night, and the dance floor was full for the whole night!

It was imperative to my husband and me to have a D.J. who could create a fun, dance environment that would make lasting memories for all generations, and Ryan at SPIN gave us just that! Ryan is perfection!! When we met with him during the course of the wedding planning, he knew all the diverse playlists we wanted, and he incorporated bluegrass, 80's pop, 90's boy band, and blues perfectly! He had every person on the dance floor for the whole time!! He went around and talked to people at the tables to make everyone feel involved and feel like family, which is exactly what we were looking for. The environment was intimate, warm, and family! He took the reigns for the plan of events for the reception, and it all happened organically and seamlessly. After the reception, all of our guests wanted Ryan for their events! We loved him and the memories he gave us!

Ryan of Spin is absolutely fantastic! Our reception was a gathering of friends and family of all ages and his mix of music was spot on! He came to each table and honored requests so everyone got to dance to a favorite song. He dresses impeccably for his events and is very professional in his work. Ryan has great talents addressing the crowd ... everyone raved about him. He is by far, the best DJ I have ever heard. Our guests are still talking about him!!!

During our initial chat with Ryan, we just knew that his enthusiasm and personality would be exactly what we wanted for our big day. We are a younger couple, and really wanted an atmosphere that was full of dancing, by all ages. Our initial impression was on point: All of our guests, young and old, kept going on and on about how amazing our dj was and how they had never danced so much in their lives!

In addition to how amazingly he was the day-of, Ryan was a dream to work with for this bride. He was extremely responsive and willing to work around our crazy schedule. He helped us select the songs that personally fit us when it came to walking down the aisle (I was extremely overwhelmed by all of the online suggestions on sites like Pinterest, but one of the first songs Ryan suggested was ideal for us!)

In short, Spin NC and Ryan were a pleasure to work with and we will definitely use them again should we ever require another dj!

This is coming from a grooms perspective. We had our wedding at Rosehill Manor in NC. SPIN was the DJ company we went with for our wedding and Arod (Alex) was our DJ. I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for and Ryan (I think he is the owner) stated that Spin might be a little above the average price when I emailed him. I gave him what we were willing to spend and he said that we could work with that number.

I went with SPIN for a two initial reasons, 1) Friendly and prompt. Anytime I had a question it was answered within hours (the other DJ company we were looking at was spotty with communication and they were charging the same price, if not more). 2) There was no pressure to book them. I never felt like they were pressed to book me/want my money. They told me about their services and what they do and I felt no pressure at all to book with them.

After booking them I primarily worked with Arod. He helped a lot in regards to planning the wedding. I thought it was just what music was going to be played, but I was wrong. He asked all the right questions, what music to play during the wait, our exit, at the holding place before the reception... The list goes on.

The difference to me in having a solid DJ was this: DJ's transition the music and keep the party going. Can you throw an iPod on shuffle and have fun? Sure. But Arod felt out the crowd and the whole night people were on that dance floor. It was also great that he was personable, going around introducing himself, announcing that he was the DJ, and asking what type of music the people would like. It made him approachable and guest would/could go up to him and ask him to play whatever song as long as he thought my wife and I wouldn't mind. If you have the budget, definitely check out SPIN and ask for Arod. Our music taste were country/pop with a little R&B mixed in. I hope you all have as memorable a wedding as we did! Lastly, please don't forget to tip your DJ if they did a good job!

Ryan did an amazing job DJ'ing out wedding reception! We met with him twice before the wedding (in person and via skype), so talk about our ideas for music. He offered suggestions and helped us with all the decisions we were stuck on. He incorporated everything genre and request that we had and was super easy to work with. So many guests have raved about how great Ryan was and how responsive he was to the crowd. Would recommend SPIN to anyone!

We were very impressed with Ryan from SPIN. He was confident and showed great composure as Master of Ceremony. Ryan is not your average DJ. He excels in working the crowd, keeps the music flowing, and making it fun. Ryan's playlist during our meal was enjoyed by everyone. He really knows how to get the party started. He brought a level of energy that was very contagious. We wanted to stay on the dance floor all day. Ryan is an awesome guy and has the best personality and charm.

Ryan from Spin was great! He really helped to set the tone for our wedding! Not only was he friendly and professional, he was able to read the crowd and play music to keep our guests on the dance floor while at the same time playing songs that we wanted to hear as a couple. Spin also handled our needs for the ceremony and everything was on time and well done! Ryan did an amazing job planning, but also did great going with the flow and adapting on the spot. We highly recommend him!

Highly recommend this company for DJ and Lighting services! Allen was the DJ for my daughter's wedding and he did an outstanding job. The dance floor was full from the first notes of the first song to the end of the closing song. Allen is engaging and high-energy as a DJ, but also professional and organized when working with him prior to the event. It was evident he really cared about having the music my daughter wanted during her wedding and also making sure that all reception activities synched on his end. He was the perfect personality to orchestrate the reception timing and music. Can't say enough good things about this company!

Ryan and the team at SPIN are beyond phenomenal. When I say beyond phenomenal, I really mean it. Ryan exceeded our wildest expectations for what a wedding DJ could be. His planning was meticulous. During our meetings with him before the wedding he showed himself to be knowledgeable, attentive and a perfectionist. Every element of the music was discussed and planned with him. He respected our wishes and carried out our ideas flawlessly on the big day.

When we threw him curve balls by requesting unique music for different aspects of the ceremony, he obtained the music we wanted without batting an eye. Ryan and SPIN are definitely not cookie-cutter DJs. They will customize your wedding exactly how you want it, and will do so with panache and spirit.

We got endless compliments on the music during our wedding. Our guests raved--many of them took Ryan's card hoping to hire him for their own events in the future! Not only was our event exceptional, Ryan and the team are genuinely kind, funny, great people. They are a joy to work with, and my husband and I will miss getting to talk to talk to them.

Allen was great throughout the whole process of hiring a DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. He kept the party rocking all night, and our ceremony was delightful. Allen was very responsive to my very detailed playlist, including mixing and cutting different songs together for the intros and wedding party dances. He showed the upmost courtesy and professionalism to all our guests, and was always one step ahead of me and my bride. I highly recommend SPIN for any of your DJ needs.

We had a fantastic time working with Ryan, from SPIN NC. He really took the time to get to know my husband and I and our taste in music. He figured out the vibe we were going for for the reception and he hit the nail on the head. He played great music, and EVERYBODY was dancing. At the end of the night he literally had to turn off the music to get our guests off the dance floor. He really helped us set the tone for the night, and made our reception an absolute party.

Ryan was absolutely fabulous to work with, and the man knows his music! With Ryan, you get more than just a DJ, you get an MC for the evening. He was both fun and professional, and our wedding guests were burning up the floor. During the planning stages, we mentioned that we wanted to get the dancing off to an exciting and unique start by hiring a swing dance instructor to come in and provide a lesson to our guests. Ryan was able to recommend an instructor to us who turned out to be fabulous beyond words. They worked so well together, and the swing dance session ended up being the highlight of our wedding reception. Ryan also provided uplighting to help create a lounge feel to the room, and didn't charge us any extra fees for the uplighting consultation that we conducted at the venue.

Allen at SPIN was absolutely amazing. He is extremely talented, accommodating, and creative. The music was so great all night that everyone was on the dance floor and people are still talking about how much fun the music was. Allen gave me an option to personalize my father/daughter dance by recording a message to play in the middle of the song. It brought tears to the room and meant the world to my dad. Then, he was able to combine parts of 3 different songs so they all fit together for my mom and I to do a special dance. I would recommend Allen to anyone around!

Allen Smith DJ-ed for my wedding and he was excellent. Very professional, easy to work with, quickly understood our music tastes. He ran all the events smoothly. We met with him a second time about 2.5 weeks before the wedding to go over every aspect of the reception and he spent time planning specifically our event. I highly recommend Spin!

We used Ryan from SPIN for our September wedding and he was amazing! We had no idea how to communicate our tastes and preferences, but Ryan is great at asking questions and playing examples to figure out exactly how you want your day to feel. He brought a ton of energy to our reception and kept the whole night moving, make certain we fit in everything we wanted to include and adapting the schedule as necessary. He strikes the perfect balance between really fun and completely professional. He also helped us figure out some beautiful lighting that fit into our budget. We would highly recommend Ryan to anybody looking for a DJ for their event!

Allen Smith (DJ AlSkiLove!) is the BEST DJ EVER!!! He did the wedding music, mike for the preacher, amps, etc, and all the music for the reception and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thank you for making our big day very special!

SPIN was the perfect choice for our wedding celebration! They were highly professional, knowledgable, and had tons of great ideas for our event. As the bride, my thoughts on the matter were that Ryan helped us throw the best party we possibly could have asked for - he was attentive to our tastes and kept our must-play and don't-play lists sacred. But don't listen to me; listen to our guests. Every single person at the wedding, from our introverted friends who "hate dancing" to the serious swing dancers to my seventy-six-year-old grandmother, was out on the dance floor, and every single person we've talked to has raved about the playlist and about Ryan's friendliness and professionalism. He kept the floor packed and the party going until I was operating on nothing but adrenaline, and multiple friends have told us they danced more on our wedding night than they have in years. If your wedding vision, like ours was, is "a big awesome all-night party for all our best friends," you won't find better than the guys at SPIN.

Ryan did an amazing job last weekend at my daughter's wedding. Because of the venue, his years of experience really came in handy. She had her reception at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (NEC). The cocktail hour was on the second floor and the dinner was on the third. Because of the live animals, the museum is particular about how the DJ sets up. Ryan met with me at the museum prior to the event to make sure nothing was overlooked. He really knows his stuff. Ryan is used to the venue and the sound was perfect! He did a fantastic job adjusting the music for cocktails, dinner and dancing. Ryan was able to capture the personalities of the bride and groom and really make the evening special. He even made a mash up for my husband to use in the father/daughter dance. The only downside was communication. I think that because he is so good, he is very busy and not as responsive to emails/phone calls as I would have liked. Perhaps he can hire an assistant? But aside from that, I highly recommend him!
