November 9, 2024 Wedding

My husband and I were married a year ago today, and Craig was our photographer at the wedding. Photography was one of those things that I knew I wanted to prioritize even though we were on a tight budget, and I'm so glad we did. I spent quite a while looking at different photographers' portfolios before coming across Spiering Photography. As soon as I saw Craig's portfolio, I knew I'd found our photographer! The pictures he took are absolutely priceless reminders of our wonderful day. The pictures were all so beautiful. Craig caught so many heartwarming and funny moments. I still laugh about the photo of my then 3 year old nephew face planting on the dance floor during the father-daughter dance (I always show that picture to people and say it's my favorite from the wedding). My family and friends also all think our photos from the wedding were phenomenal. I would recommend Spiering Photography a thousand times over.

Incredibly professional

Craig took amazing photos of our winter wedding. He was always prompt to respond to our communications and he was punctual. He was unobtrusive to our event. He followed our vision of using natural poses and captured many precious candid moments. He was able to send us our photos within a couple weeks of our wedding, which was an amazing turnaround. Incredibly Smooth Experience!

I heard from Craig through my sister and I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and communication throughout the whole experience. Planning a wedding has many moving pieces, but Craig made the photography so incredibly smooth from start to finish.

Leading up to the wedding, he worked with me to understand not just the photos we wanted but also our priorities for the event so that he could adapt as plans inevitably change on the day.

Craig has a great eye for angles. In between our requested shots, he captured so many beautiful perspectives I wouldn’t have thought of myself.

His crowd management was exceptional as well. My wife and I both had large groups we wanted photos with, and Craig guided everyone so gracefully and clearly to get people where they needed to be in an easy way. He was great with kids and was able to get nice photos even with the many small children in our group.

At the reception, Craig blended in so smoothly with the crowd. He ended up photographing some really sweet moments of family meeting after a long time apart, which was an unexpected but wonderful surprise.

Overall, my wife and I were incredibly impressed with Craig and we would absolutely recommend his services. Thanks again to my sister for recommending him to us!

Great for Catholic Weddings!

Craig Spiering is a good man and an excellent photographer. We highly recommend him for any wedding, especially Catholic ones. Craig understands the liturgy inside and out and will not intrude on the Mass proceedings.

Beautiful, Heartwarming Photographs

Craig Spiering was amazing! I had a wedding on June 1st and one of my friends recommended him to me as a photographer a few months before my wedding. I was completely satisfied with his professionalism, experience, and good communication.
Craig is a wonderful communicator and a professional at wedding photography. He asked me for the addresses and times for the wedding and reception a month or two ahead of time, so that I would not have to worry about giving him all the information he needed right before the wedding when a hundred and one different things were happening. He made sure to ask what kind of photos I wanted of my wedding. He also let me know that the wedding pictures would be edited and sent to me within about three weeks of the wedding. In the three weeks after the wedding, he was able to looks through thousands of photos and pick out the 1000 best ones and edit them for me, so that my husband, family and friends will have beautiful pictures which capture important moments of our special day for the rest of our lives. My husband and I were looking through some of our photos a couple of days ago and it took us at least a couple hours to go through half of them. I cannot imagine how much time and effort went into choosing and editing the wedding photos. Craig's efforts and his dedication to photography showed through each of the pictures he took.
On the day of the wedding, Craig's experience photographing numerous weddings shined brightly. He knew the best places to be to take picture during my Nuptial Mass. After the wedding, he arranged both couple and group photos to produce photographs which would be perfect for a photo album. He also knew how to organize a group to demonstrate the closeness between the people, such as the wedding couple, the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen. His pictures caught a glimpse of moments of our wedding which will be shared and appreciated for many years to come.
If someone is trying to find a photographer or trying to decide which photographer to request for a wedding, I fully recommend Craig Spiering. His beautiful, heartwarming photos will be viewed and treasured for years to come. Thank you to Craig for catch precious and memorable moments during one of the most important days of my life. I will forever be grateful and always pray for Craig Spiering who made such a positive impact in my life through his beautiful photos!

Craig is the definition of a class act, and we could not be more grateful to have him there on our wedding day. Positive in every way

We were very glad that Craig was available on our wedding date and completely impressed after our wedding. FYI we wanted a photographer who was professional, laidback, and efficient, and did not need too much direction on shooting our Catholic wedding Mass; we were not looking for highly posed or edited/filtered photos, or a photographer who would be with us all day or anything too involved. If you are looking for a friendly photographer who is incredibly efficient (we attended half of our cocktail hour!!), blends into the background well, and directs a group very well, plus takes tons of quality, natural-looking photos, he is definitely the way to go. Amazing photos, amazing value (less than half the price other wedding photographers asked in the Leesburg area), and our families/bridal parties were impressed with how well he directed groups and left us with plenty of time to actually enjoy the wedding day. Special mention that as Catholics having a big nuptial Mass, it was a relief that Craig knew exactly what moments to capture and how to capture them without accidentally being obtrusive or disrespectful.

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

My wife and I reached out to Craig because we had seen some photos we liked from other weddings he had photographed at our church, but ultimately the reason we selected him was because from the very first conversation he was receptive, helpful, and direct! He made us feel all taken care of by the time our wedding day arrived which was a huge relief considering all of the other wedding-related tasks that were taking up our attention.

After our ceremony, Craig did an amazing job with getting the families together and directing everyone for our portrait shots. What I admired especially about the way Craig worked was that throughout the ceremony and reception he was barely noticeable; seemingly weaving in and out of the special moments of the day to capture them candidly. I also appreciated that before he left, he approached me and asked if there were any shots I wanted with specific people that I hadn't mentioned to him before the wedding.

Craig got our photographs to us much earlier than we anticipated, and quickly went the extra mile for us when we requested some changes to the original package we had purchased. We would recommend his services to any couple who is looking for a photographer that is easy to work with and will go the extra mile for their clients.

Amazing photos and fantastic experience

We've been to two other weddings where Craig was the photographer, and it was a no brainer for us - we knew we wanted to hire him. He is incredibly personable, making everyone in the room feel comfortable and at ease. He has a great sense of humor and was easy to talk to! He also listens to his couples on what photos they want, even in the moment he will take requests and photos, even the guests felt comfortable to ask! Craig is great at capturing candid moments, like a fly on the wall in conversations - some of our favorite pictures were of us having conversations with our loved ones, enjoying the moment, and it is all because Craig was able to catch it naturally. The photos we received after editing were amazing, it was like reliving the day all over again. I will HIGHLY recommend Craig to friends and family!

Excellent Experience - Highly Recommend!

Craig Spiering is an incredible wedding photographer and we were so overjoyed to have him capture our special day. Our first shoot in the morning was rained out and Craig was able to take ALL of the bridal party photos in a very short time period before the reception. He was so quick and efficient at getting large family groups in shots, herding the bridal party, and capturing sweet moments of my husband and me. We got every shot we wanted and so many more creative ones we had never thought about. He captured candid shots of the guests, family, and bridal party.

Craig is so experienced with wedding parties and capturing fun shots. No one likes posing awkwardly for photos and with Craig behind the camera, it never felt forced.

We absolutely love our photos and our experience with Craig. We cannot recommend him enough! You will be in excellent hands with his services.

Truly fantastic photos

Craig made sure to filfull our request of pictures we wanted throughout the day. He was great on last minute changes (it happens!) and caught great moments throughout the ceremony and dinner. We received our photos really quick and with no copy rights so we could get them printed any where. This was hard to find as most photographers owned the rights to your photos which we did not want. I highly recommend Craig Spiering’s photography for his talent and knowledge of how to find and capture the beauty and joy of the wedding, and for his professional and gentle presence. His non-intrusive style made all of us, even my mother, who is often camera-shy, very comfortable having him in the room. At our Catholic ceremony, he was almost invisible and was not a distraction from the solemness of the Mass, while also understanding the Mass well enough to photograph the important moments. He seemed to be available every time I wanted to ask for a photo with someone during the reception, while also collecting photos of other interactions that I did not see. All his photos are amazing, capturing the joy in everyone’s faces, the beauty of the church, centerpieces, gowns, et cetera, in a variety of styles from crisp portraits to wide-angle views. He seemed to miss nothing, collecting pictures of our guest book, cake, and other details that we had prepared. It was great to work with him, from the time we planned what photos we wanted, to the very professional and comprehensive way he sent all the photos to me on a hard drive, posted them on a secure website, and compiled our favorites into a high-quality album.
I had known that I wanted Craig to be my wedding photographer ever since I met him when he photographed my sister’s wedding. He made my family comfortable, took all the extra photos that I requested, and produced a wonderful collection of beautiful images that captured my sister and brother-in-law’s joy and personality. Working with Craig is a dream come true!

Hiring Craig as the photographer for my wedding was one of the best decisions I ever made. From start to finish, he made working with him a dream come true for a stressed-out bride. He communicated clearly with me throughout the process of choosing a photo package and shot list, worked with me on price, and just generally made it so that I knew I would have nothing to worry about on the wedding day itself.

And I didn't have to worry about anything! Craig stayed in the background during the ceremony, yet still managed to capture so many beautiful shots that I will treasure forever. After the ceremony, he wrangled large extended family shots without missing a beat, and made the entire picture-taking process fun and enjoyable. He also captured many great candid shots during the reception. Part of Craig's policy is that he sends you all the photos he takes, which is awesome! I love looking through them and reliving the memories of that day.

Timeless, beautiful photographs from a true professional

As someone who has loved photography and cherished family photos her entire life, having beautiful photos to remember my daughter's wedding was a high priority. Thankfully, Craig had been recommended by a friend who also had a January wedding. As soon as I saw his website showcasing his work and philosophy, I knew he'd be exactly what I envisioned, and he did not disappoint! Capturing the Most important Memories

Craig was amazing! He did a fabulous job with all the photos at both the wedding and reception. He was so good, many people did not even realize he was there until they saw some of the shots he got. They were so amazed and so please as we were and are!

Craig's ability to use light made it like all his shots were taken at the "golden hour" (in photography when the natural light is just right for some of the best color and contrasting) when in reality it was the middle of the day.

We are so grateful and recommend him for any occassion where you would want captured and to treasure in pictures.

Beautiful Pictures of an Unforgettable Day

Craig was absolutely amazing to work with and I am so glad we had him as our photographer! Due to getting married during a pandemic we had to make some changes 2 weeks prior to the wedding and Craig was so kind and flexible with every change. He made us feel natural and got the best shots in with the minimum amount of effort on our part so we could focus on being present to our guests.

Craig was so easy to work with. As the groom I loved how he was able to walk the line between being friendly and putting me at ease and being professional in getting the shots he needed and getting people to gather and stay focused without being pushy. He made sure the atmosphere stayed joyful and so we were able to get shots with my family (10 kids, 34 nephews and nieces) within five minutes of everyone being gathered. My wife was so pleased with all the photos and we have received many comments on social media asking what Bridal magazine we were posing for. Its been so fun sharing our wedding pics since Craig seemed to capture all the moments we hoped he would and more.

Another thing my wife and I loved was how unique his bridal party shots were. The weren't your standard "line up in front of the church" shots. His sense of the importance of the day and the joy it represents came through in the way he arranged us and had us smiling and laughing.

Lastly, i loved how FAST he worked. Posing is already awkward so he was done before you could actually start feeling weird. So most of our shots came out with everyone looking natural. I'd definitely recommend Craig for any occasion.

Endorsement of Craig Spiering

Although not necessarily a pre-requisite for identifying a competent and reliable wedding photographer, or even a qualification most couples might consider, we were particularly comfortable in our selection of Craig because of his military service and devotion to his religion. Having learned through others about the many things that do not materialize at a wedding as planned, including photographers who do not timely arrive or ultimately fail to produce a promised wedding album, we were interested in minimizing our risk. Simply put, we wanted a photographer who, at a minimum, would show up on time, be committed to dutifully executing his responsibilities, and not make any excuses. Knowing about Craig’s intensive career training for service to our country and dedication to his faith offered us the necessary reassurance that he would put forth his best effort to produce fitting, appropriate photographs of the highest quality.

It was not surprising for us to learn that Craig’s services were in such demand that he had to make a special accommodation for us, and he even did so on a holiday weekend. With so much for us to manage leading up to a wedding with 200 guests, and so many unanticipated problems to resolve, we never memorialized a formal, organized plan for Craig to follow. We just asked him to use his best judgment, and we provided direction only as needed. We had no other choice but to trust that he would be able to draw upon his vast experience and make sound decisions.

We are pleased to attest that our instincts about Craig being governed by “set of rules” beyond those itemized in the engagement contract were proven correct. The imaginative approach and leadership he exhibited on the wedding day helped secure treasured family and group photos was indeed supplemented by intelligent free-lancing that accentuated his expertise. We feel strongly that Craig did a masterful job. He made exhaustive efforts to furnish us with a disc drive and web link to enable prompt review of digital photos shortly after the wedding. We were thus able to download select photographs and order others that we included with “Thank You” notes to our guests. We also remain thrilled with the thoughtful chronological order in which the pages of our wedding album “tell our wedding story.” We are entirely grateful for his decision-making in terms of selecting which photographs to prominently feature, as well as the careful steps he undertook to ensure that page breaks did not unduly interfere with the otherwise perfect encapturing of a priceless moment or person. The layout, organization and quality of the images is nothing short of utterly remarkable and greatly exceeded our expectations.

Great photographer to work with

Craig was very efficient and great to work with on the day of the event. Formal pictures went very quickly, even with many different family members and groups to get pictures with. During the event, Craig was unobtrusive, so the photos looked natural. The results were lovely and were delivered about a week earlier than promised! (It probably helped that our wedding was not during a busy season!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to a friend.

Amazing Photographer

Craig was phenomenal!

Craig took our wedding photos in March 2019 and we were so pleased with the pictures. He was so quick with his lenses that the flower girl and ring bearer didn't even have time to fidget! Usually church photos are dark but we received very clear pictures on a usb drive that were nice and well-lit! Craig went the extra mile to capture the sparkler exit and the fire breather friend even though his time was technically done. From beginning to end, Craig was a pleasure to work with. He's courteous, professional, and organized. We had a January wedding that presented several challenges to Craig, including 1) very cold temperatures 2) little daylight left after the ceremony 3) little time to take photos inside the church after the ceremony because there was an evening Mass soon after. Craig was upbeat, efficient, and kept us laughing - if you looked at the outdoor photos (that we took in a span of two minutes) you'd have no idea how cold we were. He got some great action shots at the reception. Finally, we were able to view the photos online just three weeks after the wedding and received the USB a week later. Craig takes beautiful shots, is easy to work with, and has a great personality. We can't recommend him enough!

Craig did a phenomenal job documenting our wedding! Leading up to the big day, he was easy to reach via phone and email. Throughout the process, he was professional and pleasant to work with. He knew what shots we wanted and succeeded in capturing them all.

Craig came highly recommended to us by close friends, and he went above an beyond all expectations. From the moment we began communication with him, he was prompt, professional and courteus. He grasped exactly what we wanted it and exectued it to perfection. We were very pressed for time in the church, but he worked so efficiently that we got all the pictures taken that we needed, including one of our new life-time favorites. Back at our home, he captured us in the "golden" or "magic" hour that he describes in his information. The autumn light was magnificent, and he made the most of it. He was liked by all and a defiinite blessing to our day and life-time memory. We also cannot recommend him highly enough!

Craig Spiering is an excellent photographer! He is quick to respond via email. I have been in several weddings in the past couple years, and I can say with certainty that Mr. Spiering was the least intrusive and most efficient of all. We were operating on a tight budget and the money we spent on wedding photography will never be a regret. He was very flexible on the day of the wedding and was always ready for spontaneous photography demands that arise during such a celebration.

The photographs themselves are lovely--both the posed portraits and the candid shots! Mr. Spiering captured moments that my new wife and I were too busy to witness but love seeing now. He also beautifully arranged page layouts for our wedding book.

As a important addendum to those of faith traditions, Mr. Spiering understood and respected the worship that accompanied our wedding. We cannot thank him enough for his services!

Craig was an amazing photographer! He kept everything moving along on schedule and clearly knew how to get the best shots in limited time. He was totally unobtrusive while I was getting ready with my bridesmaids but still took many beautiful, touching pictures, and later, he really captured the majesty of the church. Super responsive, super professional, and we LOVE the photos! As a bonus, he has a deep respect and understanding of the Catholic Mass, so I had no worries about his work distracting from the liturgy. I recommend Craig to all my friends who are planning weddings.

Craig is an incredible photographer. He was very fun to work with and is great at capturing moments during the reception without being noticed. Also, when working with groups of people to take those large shots, he is effective in communicating what he wants to be done, while remaining friendly and fun the entire time. Craig is an incredible photographer and all around joy to work with. He was very flexible with us and provided exactly what we wanted. He is detail oriented, fast paced, and helped us feel comfortable taking so many pictures.

My husband and I asked for specific shots that he was more than happy to oblige. He moved so quickly and effortlessly around the ceremony and reception that we barely knew he was there. When going through the final pictures we were surprised that he provided so many angles and lighting for every moment.

Honestly, he is a highlight from our wedding. He even hung out and chatted with guests and spent extra time with us even when he did not have to. Post wedding he provided an online library and sent us a drive with all of our photos in two formats; one for online and printable versions.

We felt as if he were an old friend. We highly recommend Craig to anyone who wants a photographer who is professional with a personal touch.

Craig was absolutely wonderful! The photos from our wedding day are stunning. I wish I could print every single photo and hang them all over our house, but that might seem a little self-absorbed....but that is how much I love the photos! I am still in awe of how many incredible shots he got of every part of the day, all while being 100% professional and discreet. If I could give Craig 10 stars, I would. He was absolutely fabulous to work with, his work is AMAZING, and we received our photos quicker than anticipated. Photography was my big "splurge" for our wedding and I am so glad we found Craig - other photographers I contacted easily cost twice as much for what Craig offered and were nowhere near as pleasant to correspond with (we were planning from over 4 hours away!).

He arrived promptly (even a little early) and while we were way off track time-wise and not ready for him - he scouted the venue, took some photos, and chatted with friends and family who were helping to set up. He got some great photos of the hustle and bustle of the day - not the "getting ready" photos I had anticipated (thanks, Pinterest) - but a true representation of our crazy, amazing big day. Even as a single shooter, he managed to capture photos from seemingly every angle of the ceremony (I swear he could be in two places at once!) and was never intrusive. He managed the group shots with ease - wedding party, family, you name it - he wrangled us all quickly and efficiently.

Photo quality, price, efficiency aside - Craig really was great to work with. I hate taking posed photos (so awkward), but he made it so easy and comfortable! The children (and dog) in the bridal party weren't always cooperating, but he knew just what to do to get them in shot or entertain them while still capturing fabulous photos. I warned him early on that there were a number of small group shots I wanted over the course of the evening and, though his style is definitely more candid, he had no problem jogging over anytime I hailed him for a photo. It may be a small thing to most, but I really appreciated that he showed up looking like a wedding guest - I have seen so many in black (yoga) pants and shirt that seem so out of place and really stick out if they ended up in guest photos.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Craig and highly recommend him!

Craig Spiering provided beautiful, classic photos that captured the mood and story of the wedding day. I was so impressed with his professionalism, his respect for the ceremony, and especially the value of the service provided, which simply cannot be beat, especially in the Washington, DC region. He was very quick to respond to all inquiries before and after the wedding.
I have received many compliments from my guests about our wedding photographer. He worked behind the scenes and was lightning-fast; many guests said that they did not even notice that he was there. And everyone has enjoyed the photos that he took of the day. These are photos that will stand the test of time and we will be showing future generations for years to come. I definitely recommend this photographer.

Spiering Photography was an amazing company that helped to make our wedding day very special! Craig has a wonderful ability to balance beautiful formal portraits and the artistic, magical moments of the day! Craig was fantastic. My husband and I decided to elope at the Inn at Little Washington (amazing, btw). We had relatively short notice to arrange a photographer, but Craig was responsive to my inquiry and arranged a custom rate for us based on our limited needs (he didn't try to force us into a package rate which was great since we only needed pictures of the two of us and approximate 2 hours of his time). The pictures came out beautifully. The lighting was perfect (natural light). He took both posed and candid pictures and they both turned out great. He was easy to work with and understood quickly the kind of pictures we wanted and he made us feel relaxed.

The company he uses for prints (the name escapes me) is also great - the prints we ordered came quickly, used high quality paper and were packaged nicely to protect them during shipping.

I would certainly recommend Craig for your event!

Craig did an amazing job photographing my daughter's wedding! In his contract he mentioned cheerful cooperation and that really describes the relationship - it was wonderful! Craig is unobtrusive but seems to be everywhere simultaneously. I was concerned that there was only one photogtapher instead of two like the other company we were considering, but it was not an issue. So many great photos to choose from! Craig was great to work with. My Son-in-law was in a wedding a month later, and he was commenting how bad the photographer was and how the photographer tried to control the day. Craig has a documentary style and just shoots as it unfolds. However, he also has an artist's eye and gets wonderful shots. He showed up promptly, took great pictures and delivered pictures ahead of schedule. Everyone raved about the preview pictures. The final pictures were great. Thanks Craig!

Craig was a delight to work with on our wedding day. He was very professional and punctual, as well as personable and engaging, and most importantly, was an EXCELLENT photographer. He showed us some shots on his camera afterward and they were absolutely stunning. Craig is passionate about what he does and selects excellent backdrops for wedding photography, but was also very open to our ideas and suggestions. Overall, it felt very natural and pressure-free. My wife and I could not have asked for a better experience and product from Craig Spiering. From the photos he provided, it was clear he was everywhere - yet we never felt like he was in the middle of the action. He took our input and captured the moments we thought were the most important - then he went above and beyond to capture moments we would have otherwise missed. He was a pleasure to work with and made truly enhanced our wedding day experience. The product he provided is high quality and comprehensive. The biggest challenge we had with Craig's photos was in choosing which ones to have printed. There were so many incredible photos, we had a difficult time limiting our selections.

We had a wonderful experience with Spiering Photography. Craig was extremely professional, communicating clearly and effectively with us before and after our wedding. He was a wonderful presence on our wedding day-- professional, kind, fun at the right times, and unobtrusive at the right times. He managed to capture all of my favorite moments from the day, even moments that I thought he couldn't possibly have photographed! I think the compliments from friends and family say it all! Craig was beyond wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding experience and that did not go unnoticed by our guests. I don't think I can tell you how many people came up to me on the wedding day to tell me how much they enjoyed our photographer! Truly, he was a joy to talk to if you were standing next to him, he was so quiet, unobtrusive and reverend during the Mass (while also managing to be everywhere), he was efficient and artistic with his formal shots, and he blended right in at the reception (while also capturing the details and authentic moments). Craig was quick (and I mean we were still on our honeymoon quick) to post pictures and send us access to the client gallery. Everything about what he captured is so true to the wedding day. Each time I look at the pictures I can relive the thoughts, feelings, joys, mood, excitement, love, etc. from each picture. He took stunning portraits and breath taking pictures of the Mass. Again, the compliments we've received from friends and family who have seen the pictures is beyond measure. We're so very thankful to have had Craig as our wedding photographer and recommend him without any hesitation.

Craig makes picture taking extremely fun and painless. He has an amazing ability to get you in the perfect mood, and produces the best shots as a result . He also knows when to be present for your favorite moments and when to just hide in the background while somehow still managing to get the most amazing photos. He is extremely punctual in his responses. I felt I could approach him with any question or concern. His photo packages were of the highest quality, and very easy to share online if I wanted to. I would highly recommend Craig to anyone looking for a very fun and highly capable photographer.

I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. I was wary when I found out he worked alone but advise you to not give it a second thought. Somehow, Craig manages to be in 10 places at once. He covered everything from the big moments, to a laugh shared by guests, to the details only I cared about. Coming from a large family, family/group photos are a nightmare in my mind but Craig kept people focused, worked extremely fast and made it painless, even enjoyable.
Our wedding was in December and could have easily been horrible for pictures but we got lucky with a mild, wonderful picture day. BUT it was still December in DC and Criag managed to give our pictures life and vibrance. Whether through capturing some copper on a statue in the background or the lights twinkling around us Craig captured the atmosphere and surroundings in our pictures while making us look good. I can't recommend him enough.

I can't say enough about Craig and what a great job he did for our wedding! He truly captured our special day and so many wonderful moments. I never had to worry he wouldn't get a picture I was hoping for. My husband and I wondered how he got the amazing shots he did, because there was never an interruption with him. My husband and I had attended several weddings that Craig photographed prior to our own. What really impressed us was his ability to capture all of the very special moments of the day without hardly being seen! He is very quick and unobtrusive - keeping every moment natural and easy. Craig keeps every picture moment fluid - even the posed ones! There were no awkward, forced smiles or rigid poses.
