  We all had a blast!

  10/10 would recommend

  Rick made our wedding a 10/10. He’s the best DJ that understands that he has to
  Cater to different styles of music and he took our style of music and made it into the best mix.
  We were looking for a DJ that would keep our wedding in the vibe and style we were going for and I’m so glad that we picked Rick. He has made this part of my wedding the easiest and stress-free. His attention to detail with the vibe of the room and mixing up the songs to get everyone involved was incredible. I had to re-schedule my wedding and he was very flexible and understanding during covid. I highly recommend him. Fun working with someone so experienced!!!!!

  Phenomenal DJ

  Richard was the best DJ and MC for my wedding on 2.22.2020 his set up was professional and looked like all the other DJ's who wanted to charge me three times as much as Richard. He played so much good music that it was hard to get me off of the dance floor. It rained on my wedding day and Richard had checked out the ceremony site ahead of time to explain my different options in case it did rain during my ceremony. He was a great communicator the whole time and did exactly what I asked for as far as music goes. He even helped my husband roll some alcohol to our truck after the wedding was over. 10\10 would recommend him for any event that needs a DJ. Thank you so much Richard and I will make sure to recommend you to anyone I know! Thanks for helping my day go smooth

  We had an amazing experience from beginning to end! Richard was so affordable, answered our emails and calls so promptly and made our wedding day such a perfect day. From ceremony to reception everything was more than we ever imagined. Perfect timing, announcements (thank goodness he is NOT cheesy at all .. I can’t stand a cheesy DJ that talks too much) and music selections. So happy with our choice! Thank you Richard!!!! Highly recommended

  They did a wonderful job at my wedding. They provide a Planning form to have control over every aspect of the day they make it easy for their couples to pick what genres and then take it from there! 5 starts

  Absolutely the best!

  Richard was the BEST DJ, I highly recommend him. He played the best music that kept the party going, he was my favorite vendor from my wedding! Easy to work with, professional and really listened to what we wanted to be played. 5 stars for sure!

  SPG and DJ Rick James did an incredible job at our wedding. He guided us in planning the Music portion of our wedding for both the Ceremony, Reception, and Dancing. He provided a planning form and recommendation list that helped in this endeavor. He also dedicated time to visit the venue with us - to ensure he planned his lighting / Projector correctly . The day of the wedding he was there on time setup the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception to perfection. Best of all he did an amazing job keeping our Guests entertained. He introduced our Speakers, Wedding Party, etc. throughout the night. He played excellent music during the dancing portion of our wedding - keeping our guests entertained with different genres and taking few request we danced for 3 to 4 hours!!!!

  Communication was great ! Would recommend

  We are so glad we went with SPG. They were the only DJ we met with for our wedding. It just felt right. We also booked his wife for the photo booth Who work together as a team .Richard and Laura were not only amazing help but were incredibly supportive. I was worried about how the ceremony was going to all pan out l Wondered how the sound system would work with the ceremony..I wanted to make sure the music came at the right time. All of those worries were put at ease by them. They even helped us pick out our exit song when we just couldn't land on one. They listened 100% to all my concerns and requests. I was very thankful to have his direction there that night. You will not be disappointed going with this business for your wedding!

  Great DJ Would Recommend

  Richard was my DJ at my wedding reception and did my ceremony music too. He was open to whatever we wanted to play. He also took requests at the reception so everyone could hear what they wanted to hear. He was very organized and made sure everything was on point. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the music at our reception. The dance floor was full the entire night. I highly recommend!!!!!!

  Affordable BUT bad curation and unprofessional

  We hired Southwest Production Company to DJ our wedding in October 2023. Overall, the equipment setup was of good quality and the package was affordable, but the DJ was extremely unprofessional and didn’t curate song choices appropriately.
  
  The DJ acted rude to a number of our guests, planners, and venue staff. On the day of our wedding, we were surprised that we had find him to introduce ourselves. In response to questions from other vendors and the bride’s family, DJ raised his voice in front of our wedding guests.
  
  The DJ spoke with us on the phone prior to the wedding to discuss the setup. However, the setup at the ceremony site did not have the lapel microphone as discussed in the planning meetings and required the officiant to hold the microphone while performing a hand-fasting ceremony.
  
  During the reception, the DJ table setup was clean and the lighting created a great atmosphere. The sound quality was great and saturated the reception site with music. Although the DJ played most of our music selection, the curation and timing of the music could have been better. For example, many of the classic rock songs or ballads were cut off right before the main chorus or guitar solos.
  
  As a positive, our package included the photo booth, which was a big hit. The woman running the photo booth was very friendly and accommodating, and the photo printouts looked great.
  
  Overall, we would not recommend this vendor as he brought a negative energy into our special day and offended many of our other vendors.

  Kept deposit - Refused to DJ two weeks before date

  Absolutely unethical behavior. Two weeks before our vow-renewal told us he would not play at our location (though we told him where it was months ago, before sending out invites) and he wouldn't DJ or bring the photo booth we had booked and left deposit for - and since his contract states deposits are non-refundable, he will not return our money - even though he waited until two days prior to final payment to be due to finally vet the location and then refused to play where we had asked him to and he had originally agreed to. Called us cheap for having a backyard vow-renewal. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
  
  We’ve since told him that we do not want our money returned as we appreciate any prework he may have done for us, but we just want him to leave us alone. But he would not stop emailing us, and has continued contacting us though we’ve asked him to stop.
  
  Since posting this, he has continued to email me telling me he’ll sue me for my negative reviews and has now moved on to my family and friends. I’ve had to block him on every digital platform there is (personal and work related, since he’s also been emailing me at work).
