Hands Down Awesome!

Im an event planner and I recently had the pleasure of working with Spectrum Sound for an event, and I can't recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, they were an absolute joy to work with. Their ability to read the crowd was outstanding—everyone from ages 8 to 80 was on the dance floor, having the time of their lives. The music selection was perfect, they were able to cater to a diverse audience and keeping the energy high all night long. Spectrum Sound had a seamless transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour- they had a wireless set up for ceremony so they didn’t have to pack anything up during the recessional music- and he was able to leave it playing while the guests all left outside to go inside for cocktail hour, and he already had cocktail/reception dj area ready to go for a truly seamless transition! Adam had an enthusiastic personality that truly made the event memorable. If you're looking for a DJ who will elevate your event and ensure everyone has a fantastic time, DJ Adam is your go-to. Great job Spectrum Sound! OUTSTANDING!

Amazing job!

We had Jay DJ our wedding this past weekend and he was absolutely incredible! Matched the vibes we were looking for perfectly and helped the day run smoother. I really appreciated all of his help pre-wedding as well as checking in to confirm when guests requested songs in case we didn't want them played. We have received so many compliments on the music, even days later. 1000/10 - would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a DJ for your event!

Best DJ!!!

We had DJ Anthony Cruz and he was amazing. He made planning easy. A shared document was provided so we could add all of our must play and don’t play songs. Everyone was on the dance floor all night and he accommodated our guests requests as well. Would reccomend to anyone!

Great experience!

We highly recommend Spectrum Sound Services. Adam was our DJ, he was excellent! It was our second time attending an event he DJ’d and both times he kept the dance floor full! Our photographer was Josh he was personable and easy to work with. The communication with the company was prompt and efficient. We will use them for any future events.

Pictures create memories

We booked a Photo Booth with spectrum sounds on kind of a short notice. Mike was accommodating and was able to squeeze us in. The booth was a big hit at our party, everyone i talked to was professional and courteous. I would use and recommend them.

We had Spectrum Sounds do our Officiant services and Photo Booth and both blew us out of the water!! The ceremony was terrific and the photo booth was such a necessary addition to the reception!!

Amazing Communication and Fun to work with

I just had my wedding on 08/20/22. Let me tell you I wish I could relive that day! It was sooooo fun and Anthony Cruz amazing as ever! The people at my wedding keeps talking about what a amazing Dj we had. He kept the party going all the way til 11:00pm. If you are looking for a amazing Dj look no further! Check them out! I’m not gonna lie I was a little hesitant at first because it was so last minute . Well sometimes in life it might be that last minute to find the best! Hands down ! Awesome! Awesome!

Saved the day

We first talked to DJ Anthony Cruz 10 days before our wedding after our original DJ had to cancel unexpectedly. Anthony made what was a very stressful moment actually relatively easy. He immediately set up time to talk with us about our plan, responded to *every* email we sent him within an hour and followed up directly with others in our wedding party to coordinate speeches and a few other events for the night (which was so great since we had a million other things going on). He also made it really easy to finalize song selections, sharing playlists directly with us for our review and adjustment ahead of time. Everything went great the night of the reception - we got several compliments about how well coordinated the evening was. The music was great, and Anthony made any adjustments we requested the night of immediately. Overall a great experience!

Worth every penny

Spectrum sounds is certainly not the cheapest DJ Service in the Rochester area. But just like any premium service, it comes at a cost. Jay was our DJ on 8/7/21 and bent over backwards for my wife and I from the day we booked up until the last song. We had a smaller DIY wedding and Jay played a huge role in helping us coordinate and plan our night weeks in advance. He answered any questions we had instantly and provided many years of experience. Our guests had a wonderful time and the dance floor was packed. Every bad wedding I’ve ever attended had either poor quality food or lousy DJ, or both. Book Spectrum Sounds and your halfway to an amazing night.

Amazing service. Highly recommend

We had Anthony from spectrum sounds and I have nothing but great things to say about him. I truly believe he was the reason our wedding day ran so smoothly. He was constantly in contact with us keeping us updated and making sure everything went right to plan. He even stayed an extra hour as things were picking up on the dance floor and I truly appreciate that. Definitely someone I would hire again! Thank you Anthony!

Great business and wonderful to work with! The staff was very patient and overly willing to accommodate my 2020 cancellation due to Covid. My guests loved the magic mirror photo booth & there was non-stop music all night!

Wedding dj and photobooth

Spectrum sounds was amazing to work with from the very beginning!! Being a covid 😔bride plans changed....ALOT. I never once felt like I was being a pain or inconveniencing Mike at all. He was so willing to work with us no matter what we needed. The day of, they were on time, professional, and kept the party going all night. They helped my sister coordinate a special surprise dance for me❤️. My dance floor was over flowing all night long, I honestly don’t remember a time when it wasn’t full.
We also had the mirror me photo booth. My guests RAVED about it, they said it was the coolest photo booth they have seen! I loved getting all the pictures after too!!! We used it as our favor paired with a picture frame at the suggestion of mike and jay!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!!!!

Tony kept the party going!!

We had Tony as our DJ and he was the best! Extremely friendly, professional, and picked great songs to compliment our list of must plays :) He was energetic the whole night through making it hard not to be the same. Our guests had a blast dancing the night away!

I only wish the communication was a little better during planning. I spoke with 3 different people throughout and it caused some stress a couple days before because not everyone was on the same page. In the end it all turned out great and we will have some wonderful memories :)

Best experience ever

Spectrum sounds is hands down the best DJ service in Rochester. I hired them for my 8-3-2019 wedding and everyone had such a good time. Mike and his team were easy to work with and incredibly helpful. He did a great job with intros and played all the songs everyone wanted to hear. 100% would recommend spectrum sounds.

Great DJs for our wedding reception

Mike and his team did a fantastic job at our wedding! They were so nice and great to work with, and very professional. Mike really helped keep the evening on track as MC, and even hopped on the dance floor himself to get people moving. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing wedding dj!

We are so happy that we chose spectrum sounds as our wedding DJ. They kept the party going all night, playing a great mix of music for all! The dance floor was full throughout the entire night, and we had an absolute blast! DJ Jay was so much fun singing/dancing with the crowd! Absolutely Amazing!

Our wedding day was perfect, with the help of spectrum sounds! The whole process was easy and they were more than willing to accommodate our individual needs to make our day special and exactly how we wanted it to be. They always helped calm our wedding planning nerves, and on the big day had an amazing energy level that pulled the whole experience together. We had several compliments from guests, which was nice because although it was our day, it was important to us that the DJ we chose would know how to read a crowd and accommodate our guests. We also rented the mirror me photo booth, which was a big hit and something more exciting/luxurious than the typical wedding photo booth station. We highly recommend spectrum sounds and have no complaints!

The best personalized experience in Rochester!

The team at Spectrum Sounds were amazing. They were always available via phone and email with quick responses to our questions. The website was easy to access and use while planning. Prior to our wedding we were able to meet with Jay and discuss what our wishes for the day were. The day of the wedding went incredibly smooth as Jay and Tony took the reins and made an incredible experience for us as bridal and groom, and also for our guests. I have yet to hear a negative comment on the entire day. Thank you so much for making our special occasion an incredible experience from start to finish!

Wedding Reception

Spectrum Sounds was amazing to work with for our Wedding! From the first initial meeting to the end of the wedding reception, Jay was responsive and accommodated anything we asked. He got everyone on the dance floor and played all the songs we requested. All our guests commented on how awesome the DJ was and how great of a party it was! Jay even came outside during our photos and asked if we wanted anything to drink from the bar! Spectrum sounds is the absolute best!!

Best part of my wedding

Don’t even know where to start, from the beginning Mike was so helpful and made us excited the day we met him to have him be our DJ so many friends and family also used spectrum sounds and had wonderful experiences!! All night at our wedding the dance floor was full and the guest were amazed at how involved the DJ got them! My brother is getting married in a year and has already decided to go with Spectrum sounds!!! Thanks so much Mike!!

We had met with several DJ’s and I am so pleased we decided to go with Spectrum Sounds! All of our guests were raving about the DJ all night long and still continue to say what a great DJ we had at our wedding! Stress-FREE experience

I booked with Spectrum Sounds on 4/15/19 for my wedding! They are highly organized with ideas if you are unsure, up-to-date music collection anything you can think of and it was the most stress-FREE experience I’ve had yet, since planning my wedding!!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Best DJ in Rochester!

Spectrum Sounds was so easy to work with from beginning to end! They met with us a few times before the wedding to discuss all of the details to ensure the day would go smoothly. They responded quickly when we had any questions. Our DJs were Grayson and Zach and they were AMAZING! We had them play the music for our ceremony, which went perfectly. They also made sure the night went smoothly so we did not have to worry about a thing. The dance floor was PACKED from beginning to end! They played all of the songs we wanted, plus played to the audience so there was never a dull moment. Thank you so much Spectrum Sounds for helping make our wedding the best day ever!

Best Dj Service in Rochester!

I could not have picked a better team for our wedding! Spectrum Sounds made everything during the planning process so easy. Everyone we encountered was professional and reliable, but also so much fun. They had our guests on the dance floor all night (sometimes they came out to teach us a few dance moves!) and even helped us plan a few special touches we had during the reception! We were also lucky enough to have Mike marry us, and the vows he wrote were so meaningful. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! We loved them!

Spectrum sounds! The best! Mike was the best DJ we could have asked for. He made sure our night was unforgettable, from the first dance, to the anniversary dance, down to the cake cutting. Made our wedding!!! We worked with mike through the beginning and he was so helpful and made sure we knew everything we could do... we were thrilled that he and Jay ended up doing our wedding. They were professional and made sure everything ran smoothly but also know how to throw a party!!! They had EVERYONE up dancing all night and knew just what music to play. Michael and Graysen were fantastic and we can thank all three of you enough for helping to make our wedding so special. We threw a lot of curveballs at you at the last minute and your professionalism and responsiveness helped to bring our wishes to life. On the day of the wedding, Michael and Graysen were very collaborative and great partners through the night. They adapted to how the night was flowing and everything went off without a hitch. The Mirror Me Photo booth was also a huge hit.Our guests loved it, and we have some great silly memories to go with the wedding ones. I was a wedding guest last weekend where Spectrum Sounds was the DJ and it was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure all of the guests were on the dance floor. I will make sure to recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ. What a party they throw!

We had a non-traditional celebration on New Year's Eve (their competition wanted to kill us with cost). Spectrum not only had the best price, they were very flexible with all our non-traditional needs, and also kept the dance floor full all night long through ringing in the New Year. The DJ listened to our preferences and accommodated our guests' requests as well. Highly recommend!

My wedding was just last night and I can't say enough about how great the guys at spectrum sounds are! Mike & Tony were MORE than I could have ever asked for ... from organizing the entire bridal party to walk down the isle, helping with entrances , even showing us how to pose for the epic "cake cutting photo" . I could not have asked for a better result from Spectrum Sounds. Jay was AMAZING! Let me tell you this guy knows what he is doing. He talked to us about things I hadn't even thought of. One of the things I like most is that he has a website that is just my fiancés and mine to add songs to our play list an organize them down to the song my wedding party will come out to. Also added bonus he is getting a photo booth to add to his many services he provides as a DJ; that I'm for sure adding to my amazing day!! The DJ's really know what they're doing, they can feel out the crowd and play music that gets everybody dancing, they also get in involved with the party showing the right dance moves, and getting to know you and what you like.

Can't say enough about these amazing DJs. A DJ can make or break your special day and they absolutely make it! They kept us organized and managed the flow of the reception and when it was a time to turn things up they absolutely did! I've been to some weddings where the DJs messed up the bride's name and never engaged with the guests leaving an empty dance floor. Not even possible with these guys! Highly recommended.

Spectrum Sounds is a first class experience in every facet. From the first meeting until the end of our reception, our satisfaction was off the charts. Mike (the owner) and his team leave no stone unturned, they provided us with options we were not even aware of and made accommodations for us along our wedding planning process. We never once had to reach out because of confusion, all details and choices were clearly communicated. The best part was the night of our reception. Our DJ did an outstanding job with both music selection and provided professional and entertaining commentary during the event. Spectrum sounds didn't make our wedding the standard wedding....they made it a party that we needed to start kicking people out of! The dance floor did not stop. Mike LaMarca with Spectrum Sounds was fantastic!! I've been to many other weddings where friends and family have also used him as their DJ, and it's the same performance for every wedding! He listens to the requests you have, he gets out on the dance floor if you don't know the dance moves to the cha cha slide, electric slide, any of those songs!! He's very personable and takes interest in knowing more about the bride and groom. HE'S THE BEST!!!

Mike was referred to us by my brother and sister in law that had hired him the year before for their wedding in 2015 and so we used last summer 2016 for ours! It was a pleasure working with mike from beginning to end! He's very knowledgeable and makes everything so stress free, we couldn't thank him enough! Mike and his helper had everyone out on the dance floor and everyone enjoyed the music! I highly recommend mike to everyone!

Spectrum Sounds was really amazing and they were so great to work with! Mike really took great care to make sure our needs were met yet was there to make suggestions to make our wedding extra special and for the music to flow. We would never even consider using another DJ in the future.

Spectrum Sounds was amazing!!! Very accommodating worked right along with us to pick out the perfect music for us and our guests was very knowledgeable and very current. They kept our guests dancing all night and even got out and did group dances with us that some guests were unfamiliar with . Had plenty of compliments from our guests about how much fun our wedding was and how great Spectrum Sounds was !!! Would recommend them to anyone !!!

Spectrum Sounds is AWESOME, Mike DJ'd my daughter's wedding and Jay DJ'd my other daughter's 21st birthday. They were both FANTASTIC, they had high energy, they played everything we wanted, they were reliable and professional. They really know how to keep a party alive. Mike worked closely with us to pull together all of the best songs for our wedding day. He made recommendations where we needed them, took all of our favorites and managed to keep our wedding party moving all night! Give Mike a call - Spectrum Sounds made our special day even more special!!

Spectrum Sounds is a quality organization with a professional attitude and they are reasonable priced. I have used Spectrum Sounds for more than 25 years. Back when I was on the PTA and planned the school dances and events to current, with Company Picnics and Christmas Parties. Every experience was nothing but the BEST!
I have attended several events where Spectrum Sounds was the DJ, and its always a great time!!! Thank you Mike and team for your years of service making every event so much fun!!!
Looking forward to the next event for our Christmas Party!!!!

Great DJ and Photo Booth!!!

Spectrum was great to work with! We had Tony as our DJ and he had people on the dance floor all night! Also we highly recommend the mirror me photo booth, all of our guests loved it, and the photo booth attendant was amazing and helped compile our scrapbook for us!

Our reception venue gave us a list of recommendations and Spectrum Sounds was on the top! So far so good, our wedding is in October so I will update this afterwards. I like the online planning tools!

If you have Mike as your DJ he's great, not as impressed by his employees.. I had mike at my wedding and it was awesome! My brother had one of mikes employees and he was decent but not amazing...

1.5 years later, and I'm still sad about this. We hired Mike based on the recommendation from a friend who attended a wedding that he did several years ago. We immediately liked him...he was funny, down-to-earth, welcoming, and made us feel very comfortable. We were so excited about his ideas. On the day of the wedding, he was a no-call no-show. He did send his son in his place, but this completely blindsided us and we were horrified to see how many mistakes were made, and how many details that we had discussed in all of our previous meetings went without any attention at all. Not only did we feel incredibly disrespected by not receiving a heads up that he would be unable to attend, but we truly felt like the quality of our reception was poorly impacted by the last-minute changes. We ended up with a mediocre, run-of-the-mill reception that could be compared to any event we've attended in the past, when we originally were going into the day with the impression that we were going to have a party that people would still be talking about today. The experience was further disappointing when we never received a follow-up call or an apology...we never heard from Mike again. I would love to recommend him to anyone based on our initial meetings and our planning process, but the inability to follow-through and respect us with a simple phone call has really left us saddened.

We're so sorry you were displeased with our service. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen without notice which are beyond my control. On this date I was hospitalized for a serious & life threatening condition that kept me in the hospital for a week. Spectrum Sounds always has backup in case something happens to the DJ that is assigned to the event. I take the utmost care to insure it doesn't happen but am prepared when and if it does. My son is a qualified DJ who has been working with me since he was 15 and knows how to DJ a wedding. I didn't get any feedback until now that they were displeased with the service. My most sincere apologies.
