Amazing and Impressive!

I put a lot of time and effort into researching our wedding vendors, so before scheduling a meeting with Special Moments Ent I knew they were the kind of company I wanted to work with. Brian was quick when communicating back and forth and was very flexible to setup a meeting. He welcomed us into his home studio to meet with him and our potential DJ Branden. We were so impressed in that meeting I knew we weren’t going to be looking any further. Their morals and views on wedding music and even tips about choosing songs made them a shoo in for our books. They played us an array of songs that made it a fun and interesting meeting. Branden was so down to earth and knew what he was talking about. Communication kept flowing between then and the wedding and Branden was available for all questions. He was great in our final meeting - he had so many good ideas and was really pumping us up. On the wedding day, Branden and Hope arrived and setup exactly when he said they would - even an outdoor ceremony on a chilly day (thank you for letting me live out that very important detail!). When I say Branden was the life of the party - I mean it! We were SO impressed and ecstatic with his charisma and skills. He was a fantastic MC and really got the crowd going, even had 100 questions for the show game. He read the crowd and played the best songs - especially at the end of the night playing songs that our generation grew up on. I’ve never danced so much in my life and we will never forget it. I had the time of my life, (and I owe it all to you - Branden and Hope)!

Amazing!!!!

Its amazing how wonderful Brian was! He was one of the two biggest staples in our wedding! This process is very overwhelming, and I'm not good at multitasking and I'm very easily overwhelmed, and unfortunately I've had an incredibly hard year so planning a wedding was such a difficult thing for me, and Brian offered SO much guidance and direction! He answered questions I didn't even know I had. He knows ALL about this process, and knows things you didn't even know you had to know. If you're on the fence, just trust this man and he will deliver! He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. You can tell he not only enjoys his job, but knows it VERY well! His years of experience are untouchable to any new DJ. Would highly, and will highly, recommend Brian! He has incredible reviews for a reason, trust that. Go with Brain!

Simply the best!

Brian does a fantastic job! He had done a couple weddings I’ve been apart of including my brothers and now mine. We could not be any happier! He knows how to read the room for music and keeps the dance floor going all night. I haven’t been to many weddings that still have tons of people on the dance floor when the lights go up, but everyone he has been apart of had that happen. He has a great voice for being the MC and is very well spoken. The up lighting is a great touch. We had multiple people compliment us on our choice of DJ/officiant, but we owe it all to him. You will not regret hiring special moments for your wedding!

Will treat you like family, they go above and beyond

I have absolutely no complaints. They helped me and my husband so much on our special day. Our guests thought they were family everyone at our wedding was raving about them. I couldn't have done it without rob and his wife and I can't thank them enough. Book them you won't regret it.

Brian made our reception so much fun!

DJ Brian was so great to work with! He was really flexible with us when we postponed our 2020 wedding to 2021. He helped us plan our reception timeline in a way that flowed really well. He was a great emcee and got people up and dancing. I had so much fun at my reception and a lot of my friends said my wedding was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to! After the reception, our guests were talking about how much fun our DJ was!

Covid19 Wedding – 2020!

A special SHOUT OUT to Special Moments Entertainment and our DJ Rob and his partner, Tabitha! This year (2020) has been such a roller-coaster ride that made planning a wedding even more stressful than usual. Weekly updates to the Governor’s Executive Orders requiring limited gatherings had created new challenges for our wedding date, as well as the well-being of our family and friends. Two weeks before our event, we decided to make extreme changes to our ceremony venue to allow for proper social distancing – but still being able to proceed with our wedding.

Rob, Special Moments Entertainment, was more than our DJ. He really is quite knowledgeable about the wedding process itself; and was a huge help in keeping things moving along, making suggestions that were considerate of our guests, and supporting the evening in full. From our cocktail hour, through dinner, and then the dance party – Rob kept all our family and friends entertained. He kept a great pulse on our guests, always choosing a wonderful assortment of music perfect for that exact moment in time. Guests of all ages were entertained, dancing, and enjoying every moment of our special day. The lighting used helped create such a fantastic energy!! I cannot thank him and Tabitha enough for making our day such a huge success! So many people were complimenting us on our DJ, saying how much fun they were having! What a wonderful way to start our new adventure in life; but also a wonderful way for our family and friends to congregate safely for a little while!

I would absolutely recommend Special Moments Entertainment for any event you want to make memorable!

Special Moments Entertainment is THE BEST DJ EVER!! My husband and I could not be happier that we chose to hire Brian from Special Moments Entertainment for our wedding! Many of our wedding guests are still telling us how much fun they had and how much they LOVED the music that was played at our wedding. Our wedding was held in a barn, and although my husband and I love country music, we know not everyone likes country. Brian played just the right mix to keep everyone out on the dance floor while also incorporating some our our favorite country songs! Brian is not only a DJ but is also your MC for the night...he is not one of those guys that just sits behind the DJ booth and plays music, he actually interacts with the crowd and keeps your guests informed about what is going on the entire night. We found Brian through the recommendation of our photographer, Samantha Lee Photography, because the two work together often. Brian is a true professional in his field. He is very knowledgeable not only about music but about many aspects of wedding planning too. I made my wedding day timeline based off Brian's recommendations and the day worked out perfectly, we were on time the whole day! I know our wedding would't have been as great as it was without Brian from Special Moments Entertainment!

I am not sure how to put this in words without sounding kinda rude, but....you are stupid if you don't AT LEAST meet with Brian Hood from Special Moments Entertainment! He is an amazing DJ/ entertainer and person! Trust me...you, your friends, and family will NOT regret picking them for your big day! My husband and I got married two months ago and we are still hearing how awesome our DJ was. We were told by multiple people that "our wedding was one of the best weddings they have attended and the music was the best". The dance floor was full the entire night and everyone had a blast! Brian even comes out on the dance floor to help your guests dance along to songs like "the wobble"! How awesome is that?!

A DJ can make or break a wedding, and our DJ made our wedding PERFECT! There was not a single moment that we weren't on the dance floor. Our guests danced their hearts out and have been telling me that they have never seen so many people on the dance floor all night long! Being on the younger side, I was lost with the timing and order of the reception, and Brian took care of it all. He made it so I didn't have to worry about a thing on my special day. Brian & Sharon helped make our day/night unforgettable. I would highly recommend Special Moments Entertainment to any bride and groom that want to have a blast all night long!

I can't say enough good things about Brian and his wife! During the planning stages, he helped us choose our songs and guided us on what we were unsure of. He has such a great attention to detail it's really quite impressive, he also made it 100 times easier on us the day of the wedding because we literally did not have to worry about the timeline or when what was happening. Also, the music was awesome he takes the time to personalize everything, specific to each bride and groom! We had 2 dance floors (one inside and one outside) both of them had people dancing the whole night! Thanks again Brian at Special Moments Entertainment for making our night one we won't forget!

I highly recommend Brian with Special Moments Entertainment. He did a fabulous job for our wedding reception. The dance floor was packed all night long. He did a great job of taking requests from our guests and following our do not play list. Leading up to the wedding he was very accommodating to us since we live out of state. We were able to have all of consultations via Skype and had quick responses to our emails. All of our guests have a commented on what a great job Brian did keeping the dance party going till the very end. Thank you Brian!

Brian did an amazing job at my wedding. He was able to read the crowd and keep the energy pumped up throughout the night. His wife worked as his assistant and she was so helpful to make sure all the timings went perfectly. Highly reccomend Brian to anyone having a wedding. Brian was our DJ for our wedding in July 2017. From the first time we met Brian, he was very thorough. He asked many questions that we never even thought of. He seemed very caring, like he wanted to make his piece of our day perfect. On the day of the wedding, we decided last minute that we wanted a very simple DJ set up and only white lights. Brian was very accommodating and quickly changed his set for us. He did an excellent job of working with all of our vendors coordinating timing. He helped keep the night rolling. When we were busy, he was sure to keep us on schedule. The dance music he played was PERFECT! Our dance floor was packed all night. We had so many compliments from family and friends of all ages. We would highly recommend Brian to all couples!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Brian (and his wife) from Special Moments Entertainment. We wanted someone who was affordable and who would take care of the flow of the reception...Brian was definitely our guy! During our first appointment, he ran through all the details- from how he would introduce us, the organization of the night, and even the lighting! We felt we were truly there! My husband is Caucasian and I am Mexican, so I wanted music in Spanish. He was open to me sending him music and he included it in the list of songs. It was truly a great night! I was worried people would not dance because of the mixture of songs, but I was pleased when everyone danced up until the last song! I loved, loved, loved the special moments dance where everyone gathered around us as we danced and Brian sang and encouraged everyone to sing as well. I would definitely recommend Brian for your special night.

If I could give special moments entertainment a rate higher than five stars I would ! Brian was perfect, the music was awesome it was very appropriate for the crowd it was very tasteful. I had the time of my life! It really is true that the DJ is definitely a center vendor in the wedding and if you don't have a good DJ a lot of things can go wrong. AMAZING!!! Brian did such a fantastic job the night of our wedding. I was kind of a particular bride with the way I wanted the night to go and he executed the it flawlessly! He really gets guests engaged and on the dance floor.

One thing that I wasn't sure about when he brought it up to me was the "special moments dance." It just didn't sound like our style. But we decided to try it out and had him do it, and man I'm glad we did! It truly added a personal touch to the night for us and our guests.

And his lighting...oh my goodness! LOVE!!! the colored up lighting just really transforms a room and his dance floor lighting keeps the energy up. We were so happy at the end of the night and didn't want it to end!

Stop looking for a DJ right now and call Special Moments. I'm serious. We met with the big DJ companies-where you talk with a salesperson and make your DJ choice based off their online videos. We met with independent DJ's who tried to upsell us with video slideshows, or insisted our dance floor needed props to make our barn reception "fun".
Then, we met Brian from Special Moments. He gave us a presentation on how he would emcee our reception and has a vast knowledge of music. There was no pressure to book, no trying to sell us glow sticks (that seriously happened with one DJ company), no pressure to pay for the highest package he offers. Brian has a really great energy, when you meet him, you will know what I'm talking about.
Our wedding couldn't have run more smoothly or been as much fun without Brian. We had a barn wedding, with an outside ceremony and Brian ran our ceremony music. Everything was right on cue. Once the reception started, Brian kept the night moving according to our previously planned schedule - he played great music (he puts request cards out on the tables for the guests) and our dance floor was packed the whole night. He even sang a song to us and got all of our guests involved - it was wonderful!
I can't say enough nice things about this company. My husband and I highly recommend them!

Absolutely amazing company! Very professional and on point 100%. We had zero worries during our very hectic day. They took care of our ceremony music and met with our pastor before hand to ensure everything ran as planned and smoothly, which it did! From there Brian moved on to being the best DJ/coordinator we could ask for! He kept the time schedule we originally talked about, he kept the flow of the night on point! He was an absolute blast to work with and played an extraordinary mix of music that everyone danced to none stop the entire night! We never once had an empty dance floor for 4 hours! Highly recommended!

I can not say enough good things about DJ Brian! Right from the beginning he was very professional and pleasant to work with. Brian provided the music for our ceremony and also the entertainment for our reception. He was exceptional at both tasks. Not only did Brian keep the party going for us, he joined in with us...showing some of us amateurs how to "wobble"! :) Brian kept the night flowing absolutely flawlessly, and to a bride and groom their only hope is to have their most important night to run smoothly. He did a fantastic job at playing requests from his complimentary request cards and really making sure guests were happy! Brian has an endless song collection sure to please anyone and the up-lighting he provided really made you feel like it was time to celebrate! Brian always returned phone calls or texts and was quick to put any concerns at rest. At the final sit down before the wedding, he did a phenomenal job at really listening to what we wanted and helped us to plan our nights events , which flowed perfectly! Oh, and did I mention, he can sing amazingly! Brian will be more than just your "DJ", he will be your wing man who is keeping everything running right on schedule, so that you are able to enjoy every "special moment" that happens and not worry about a thing! DJ Brian Hood did an amazing job! Everyone came up to us at the end of the reception saying that our wedding was the most fun of any they had ever been to, and it was totally thanks to DJ Brian.

Our meetings with him prior to the event were incredibly helpful. He asked a ton of questions we hadn’t even thought of, and we felt very comfortable that everything was covered on the big day. He accommodated any special requests that we had – I’ll admit I’m kind of picky when it comes to song choice and the general flow of the evening, and he completely knocked it out of the park! He also added some of his own fun ideas, like the “special moments dance” that he cleared with us beforehand, that really made the night memorable for us and all of our guests.

DJ Brian is a natural! The dance floor was full the entire night. Almost all of our guests were out there dancing and singing along to every song until the very end, when we had to close down at 1am. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding or other special event. Thank you so much, DJ Brian!

We could not have asked for a BETTER DJ!! We were first introduced to Brian and Special Moments through our photographer, Samantha Lee. From the moment we met him he was so sweet and nice we knew we had found our guy! He has literally dedicated his life to music and it shows in his business! From the planning stages to the day of, he was so helpful every step of the way. And he's so affordable! When it came to the day of the wedding he was the first vendor there and the last one to leave! He literally played every single one of our song requests (and there were a lot!). I was honestly overwhelmed by how many compliments I got from our wedding guests about Brian. He definitely isn't he type of DJ to just stand behind a booth and play music. He guided the entire room through one of the most fun evenings any of us had ever had. His Special Moments Dance was definitely a HIGHLIGHT!! Who knew he was such an amazing singer!! He even got out there and danced with us a couple of times! He literally allowed my husband and I to have the most magical night that was 100% worry free because we knew he was in control and we would not have had it any other way!!

Brian was excellent! Even with the pouring rain and an outdoor wedding he was able to keep the event moving and keep everyone having a great time. He truly is a master of entertainment. From the planning process right thru the last dance he was very accommodating of what we wanted and took care of a lot more than just playing music which made our day even more enjoyable. Anyone can plug in a computer and play some music but it takes an expert to get everyone on the dance floor at a wedding and Brian is that expert. I'd recommend him to anyone!

After the first ten minutes of meeting with Brian we knew he was our guy. When we first started wedding planning we were overwhelmed but after talking with Brian we both felt so much better about everything. There were so many little things that we didn't think of that he brought to our attention and gave us advise on how to do them. His selection of music was amazing. He really knew how to find you the perfect song. During our wedding he was great. Brian kept everything on time and running smoothly. Our guests loved him, he was very involved and engaging. He really knows how to get people on the dance floor. I would highly recommend Special Moments Entertainment to all my friends and family!!!

I would highly recommend Special Moments Entertainment for your wedding. My husband and I were referred to the company by our photographer and we are so happy we decided to book them for our wedding. From the first time I spoke with Brian, the owner and DJ, I could tell he was passionate about what does and it was extremely important to him that our wedding was perfect…and a perfect night is exactly what he delivered. We wouldn’t change a thing. Brian and his wife are so friendly and very easy to work with. He was happy to fulfill all our requests, was very helpful with our questions and had great advice/suggestions for how to do things. Obviously, planning a wedding is not something we do every day so it was great to speak with someone who has assisted in hundreds of weddings. Although along with his suggestions, he would always stress that it was our day and his number one priority was to make us happy. I can not say enough about Special Moments, but I think most importantly I should mention we had SO much fun at our wedding! My husband and I both wish our reception could have been longer because it was such a great time and we got so many compliments from our friends/family that they thought so too. It’s exactly what we wanted to hear afterwards and we have Brian to thank for that.

I found Brian of Special Moments on TheKnot right after we got engaged. I took my chances and read the reviews that other brides wrote. My husband and I made an appointment to meet up with Brian at his house, where he was so polite and welcoming. After our first meeting, my husband and I got back in our truck and we both looked at each and said "YES!". Brian was the first DJ that we met with and we didn't want to book any more appointments with anyone else. His examples of song choices and everything else left us with chills. He DEFINITELY knows what he's doing and gives his input on what he's seen before that didn't go so well at other weddings. He made our night SO special and all of our guest loved him! He played music that kept everyone of all ages dancing the whole night. When it got to midnight, we still had the majority of our wedding guests still dancing along when it came time to closing. My husband and I will recommend Brian to everyone who needs a DJ, he will keep the party going all night with awesome song choices. We got married at the end of July and we still have guests telling us how much fun they had at the wedding. If it wasn't for Speical Entertainments, our wedding wouldn't have been the same. He for sure keeps the party alive. His prices are also EXTREMELY reasonable, compared to others. We got the top package (with uplighting and a monogram that you get to keep) which made it even more perfect. If anyone is looking for a DJ, PLEASE give Brian a call and meet up for an appointment. I promise you will not be disappointed! :)

We are so happy we chose Brian to be the DJ and MC at our wedding reception! We’ve been to a number of weddings where the DJ’s didn’t know the couples’ names or had faulty equipment, so we were very skeptical about finding a good DJ and did a lot of research – Brian was the first and only one we met with and we booked him without a second thought.

Brian is very helpful, upfront, and honest with you. He’s extremely easy to get along with and was one of the easiest vendors for me to get in contact with. We also had him do our up lighting and he did a fantastic job with that as well – we got to pick out the colors beforehand and he drew out on my layout of the ballroom where the lights would go.

His song selection was great too, he plays something for everyone. Some of the songs I didn’t know, but my guests did and vice versa so everyone had a chance to dance and did! A number of our guests went out of their way to tell us how great of a job Brian did and we are so happy that Brian made it such a fun night for everyone - our wedding was one of the few times I’ve ever seen my husband dance; we danced all night and had an absolute blast!

Brian also sets out request cards for your guests to pick songs for him to play every once in a while which is fun too, so they have a song to look forward to. I really can’t say enough great things about Brian, even after the wedding was over and he was finished picking up his equipment, he helped my family clean up all of our decorations and such in the ballroom as it had to be empty before morning. If you’re looking for a great DJ/MC (and up lighting guy!) stop your search because Brian is the best!

P.S. He can sing too! He sang a song that my husband and I danced to while our guests formed a circle around us and sang the chorus – the song was stuck in my head the rest of the night – he’s got a great voice!

Words cannot convey how absolutely amazing Brian and his DJ’ing was for our wedding on June 4, 2016. We are beyond happy we went with him, and he was by far the best vendor we hired. I have been to weddings where the dance floor is pretty quiet, and was nervous for this to happen with our guests; however, Brian had our guests dancing the ENTIRE time. A few weeks have passed since our wedding, and we are still receiving compliments on how great Brian was and how much fun our guests had because of him. He made the party!

Also, throughout the entire wedding process, Brian was very professional and thorough. He worked with what we wanted and made great recommendations as to what would satisfy our requests but also keep guests engaged, dancing, and most importantly having fun. He made a rather difficult process so simple. It was very evident that he has been doing this for a long time and knows what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to keeping the celebration alive.

We also highly recommend the wedding circle Brian does in which he has guests circle around the bride and groom on the dance floor while he sings “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” Most of our guests thought that it was a recording playing, but it was actually Brian singing the song, and it was amazing!

Overall, we were EXTREMELY happy with Brian and would choose him again in a heartbeat. 

5 stars do not do these guys justice!! Our wedding ceremony and reception went off flawlessly. Brian is wonderful with proactive communication and making sure all details are covered before the big day. He really takes the time to get to know you and your preferences!! Guests are still raving about the "wedding DJ". The music was excellent and sound quality was amazing. Our venue was small and a little tricky to work with and he pulled it off with no problem!! Book Special Moments if you don't want to worry about a thing on your wedding day!!

Wonderful DJ! We got so many positive comments from our guests. He had the dance floor packed all night. The prices seem to be on par with other DJ’s in the area and choosing Brian to be our DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The evening flowed perfectly and it was a great party! Brian and his wife are a great team to work with. As a busy bride with a million and one things to do I really appreciated how diligent Brian was in following up with me to make sure no stone was left unturned leading up to the big day. He worked directly with our photographer and catering manager to ensure that the entire evening would flow smoothly. Brian's experience and warm personality really put the groom and I at ease in knowing that we had selected the best MC in metro Detroit. We had a really great time working with Brian and highly recommend him.

Special Moments did an outstanding job! Brian and Rob were extremely helpful with picking the music for the entire night. They also helped us to coordinate the bridesmaids and groomsmen walking down the aisle so everything ran smoothly for us. The music and lighting were amazing. Our guests were on the dance floor all night and 2 months later they are still ranting and raving about how great of a time they had. Our monogram looked absolutely gorgeous above the dance floor on the ceiling of our tent. Thanks so much Brian and Rob! I recommend to everyone.

Brian an amazing DJ and an amazing entertainer! He is very professional! We were so happy on choosing him for our wedding day. He kept everything running smoothly and guests were always on the dance floor. He plays something for everyone! He also did my ceremony music which was beautiful at the Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel. He also made a beautiful lighted monogram for the wall at the hall, along with up-lighting to whatever colors I wanted. The hall looked fabulous! Where do I even start?! Having Brian be such a big part of our special day was one of the BEST decisions we made for that day! Lets face it, a DJ can make or break your wedding... so we wanted to make sure we chose someone who would leave a lasting impression on our guests. From the very beginning, he was so professional and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt at ease. On wedding day he was prompt and right on point with every song. A bride has other things to worry about on wedding day. He made the guests feel very welcome during the ceremony. After that was reception time and he was fun, social, and good at reading the room. We had every guest up dancing! Even my grumpy uncle! I really cannot say ENOUGH good things about Brian. We were honored to have him and you would be too, I promise you that.

Best DJ service ever! Brian did an amazing job for our special evening! He kept the night going smoothly and organized and we did not have to worry about a thing! Brian was very personable and professional, and also affordable! When we were shopping for a DJ service, Brian was the only one to respond immediately! He met with us twice prior to our wedding day to go over every detail and make sure the night went just as we wanted it to. We hired Brian at Special Moments for our September 2015 barn wedding and have nothing but great things to say about him! We chose his Premium package which included tons or lighting, including up lighting for wherever we wanted, a lighted monogram, which we got to keep, 7 hours of great entertainment, and an overall amazing experience. He is so professional and was very helpful and flexible when we had last minute changes that needed to be made. We found Brian online after searching for DJ's close to our home, and he was the only person we considered. After our first meeting, we knew we had to book him and are so glad we did! Everyone at our wedding talked about how great he was, and we couldn't agree more! If you looking for a DJ in Michigan, Brian should be at the top of your list for people to call!!

Brian was great! He was enthusiastic and thoughtful in the delivery of his services and was flexible in working with us to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for for our evening! Not only is Brian an amazing DJ, he is an amazing entertainer! He is very personable and professional! An expert in his trade! We were so happy with our decision for our wedding day! DJ and MC. If I were to describe Brian in one word; Experienced. He has clearly done this for many years and it shows. He enjoys his profession, and is aware of what will make the event as enjoyable as possible. Brian asked my then fiancé and myself multiple questions about our life, style, musical preference, and then made his professional recommendations so that we would be able to enjoy our day without stress. I was very happy with our photos, flowers, the venue and wedding video, but I can honestly say our DJ was the most professional and experienced of the lot. The pace of the wedding stayed on track and I continue to receive comments on how much our guests enjoyed the evening.

(1.) Special Moments Entertainment/DJ Brian Hood played at my brother’s wedding in the fall, so I’ve seen Brian in action twice. His wife Sharon is also there to help the night run smoothly and is so sweet, friendly, and helpful.
(2.) The crowd LOVES him. Multiple guests at both my brother’s wedding & my wedding commented on how great the DJ was. Grandparents, parents, aunts/uncles, young folks alike loved his choice of music.
(3.) He’s so much more than just a DJ. He is an awesome MC who totally works the room and gets everyone amped up for the night. He is also a performer with an incredible voice. Not to mention the uplighting he provided LOOKED INCREDIBLE. We were on a serious budget, & the lighting really helped accent our colors & made the room spectacular!
(4.) He is VERY experienced & is literally an expert at helping plan the timeline for the wedding night & thought of details that hadn’t even occurred to me.
(5.) His price is incredibly reasonable. With the benefit of hindsight & seeing him kick butt at two different weddings, quite honestly I would have paid double of what he charges.
(6.) The dance floor was moving the entire night. Brian was enthusiastic and really helped set the mood. The wedding's success really hinged on Brian! So do yourself a favor and hire him!!!!

Brian was an amazing DJ! In the pre-wedding meetings with him, it was very evident that he was extremely professional and knowledgable. However, it was the night of the wedding that we and all of our guests were blown away by how amazing of a DJ he was! One friend that was married just a month before said "THAT's the music I wanted to play at OUR reception"! The dancing didn't stop all night, and he transitioned so smoothly between everything that it made the night perfect. The dance floor was full all night, with all ages. At the end of the night, over half of our guests were still there and dancing.

Special Moments, run by Brian and his wife, are the PERFECT choice for ceremony and reception music!
We loved them from the moment we met them - super friendly, helpful, and care about making your wedding day special. They are not there to just make money, they truly care about making your wedding day perfect and getting your guests involved and having a great time. Brian doesn't just play song after song, he dances and sings (has an AMAZING voice!) and has such an uplifting presence that is contagious to all the guests. A good DJ makes for a good wedding - and Brian made our evening absolutely perfect. His experience definitely shows!
He also has an awesome set-up, not just a DJ table. He's got colored disco balls, and lots of different light settings.
He was very attentive to keeping in touch throughout the planning process and answered any questions very promptly. He loves what he does, and really gets involved in the wedding. WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!
If you use his suggestion for photographer, they give you a special package discount. and the photographer was pretty awesome too!

I would highly recommend booking Special Moments Entertainment for your wedding. Brian was so professional the whole time, and he helped us plan an evening that our guests are still talking about. Brian helped us pick music and plan the order of events so all we had to do was show up to the wedding and enjoy. Brian Hood is a phenomenal DJ. When I first met with Brian I did not know exactly how crucial a good MC is at a wedding ceremony. He was the glue that held our wedding reception together. There are so many moments that happen during a wedding reception that need to be organized and thought through, and he helped us with all of those at our meeting. He is kind, talented, and charismatic, he is basically exactly what you want in an MC and DJ. He knows how to read a crowd and how to keep choosing songs that keep the people dancing. I have already recommended Special Moments Entertainment to a few of my friends who are getting married soon. The next time I need to hire a DJ, the first person I call will be Special Moments Entertainment!

We got married on the coldest wettest day of the summer. We had an outdoor wedding at my Moms house on Lake St.Clair. Looking at the radar he night before the rain was supposed to stop early in the morning, however, it didn't even start raining until noon! With our guests huddled under the small tents and everyone taking cover, our ceremony was postponed an hour and a half! Although we only payed for an hour of DJ services Brian stayed the whole time, through the delay and for the entire ceremony then proceeded to the hall where the delays continued because of the rain but Brian stayed with us the whole night making it an incredibly fun and magical experience! He had a lot of advice and fun different ways of doing things but still respected tradition!

Brian was terrific! Not only was he a great DJ, but he was a wonderful host as well. We are so happy that we had Brian and his wife Sharon there on our wedding day to help the day go so smoothly! The dance floor was packed all night, and we received several compliments on Brian's behalf. Thanks for everything, Brian and Sharon!

Met with Brian a couple of times to get our playlist and program together. He offered great ideas and was wonderful at listening to our needs as well. The night of the reception Brian met our expectations of getting people out on the dance floor and keeping them out there regardless of age.

Very good time. DJ was dancing on the dance floor with us. Wish the music could of been a little more diverse though. Awesome job!

Brian does a great job at the event! He played great music, played the emcee role beautifully, and overall just came across like a true professional.
