She totally captured our vision by creating perfectly scaled, full color site plans of both our ceremony and reception, and executed it flawlessly, making sure every aspect of our big day was everything we dreamed! Her professional timeline was invaluable coordinating with our vendors seamlessly and her innovative solutions to any last-minute modifications were remarkable.   My wife & I would like to thank Ricki Lewis and Special Event Genie for all their assistance with putting our wedding together. We are both very busy with our careers and did not know where to begin. Ricki guided us through each step of the process and by the time of our wedding day, we felt ultra-prepared and relaxed.   Ricki and her staff at Special Event Genie set up a lovely wedding for us! Ricki was there every step of the way and knew exactly how I wanted my decor items displayed. She worked with the venue, visiting their facilities three times to make sure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted it. Ricki also designed and printed our welcome sign and reserved seating signs! They took extra care in setting up our sweetheart table and the special kids table!   My wife and I would like to thank Ricki for all of her incredible work and assistance coordinating our wedding. We had to postpone our date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every step of the way, she was there making suggestions and assisting us seamlessly with the change of plans. We decided we did not want to postpone a second time so Ricki showed us a way we could have our wedding outdoors and socially distant to keep us and our guests safe. She came up with new ideas, suggestions and advice on the spot to help make our wedding an exceptional and unique event. Ricki truly went the extra mile seeing to it that all the arrangements were completed in a timely fashion. Ricki was a gem to work with, generous with her time, and graciously understood of our needs. Our beautiful wedding went off without a hitch thanks to the creativity and organizational skills of our fully prepared wedding planner, Ricki Lewis and her partner, Robin.   We were looking forward to hiring Ricki for the Full Wedding Planning Package as soon as we got engaged. She put in a lot of time and special attention, doing her very best to make our wedding fun, stress-free and so very memorable. She arrived early with her assistants to make sure all the tables and chairs were set up exactly the way I wanted, directed all the vendors including the DJ, florist and bridal shop. She also set up our very pretty and fun multi-cake dessert table. We were impressed at how knowledgeable she is with all the facets that go into a wedding. Ricki also assisted our guests. It took a lot of worry off my mind, knowing that she was there taking care of all the details… and just plain being our eyes and ears so we could relax and enjoy our own wedding. She made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way with our planning process! Thank you, Ricki!

  Ricki was an amazing aid and wedding planner. She shows up with her flaming red hair and a winner's attitude. She played a major role in helping to make my wedding day special! When I had a MAJOR dress emergency 3 days before the wedding; Panache Boutique had ruined my dress through a fraud designer! But Ricki pulled strings to have a couture bridal boutique open for me the next day. Because of her reputation and standing in the industry I was able to retain agency and creative expression in a otherwise hopeless situation. Her team was always professional and ready with a solution. So if you are looking for a tenacious wedding planner who is going to pull out all the stops and fight to make your day special then you have got the RIGHT PERSON in Special Event Genie ! I can't say enough about what a mensch and spectacular planner Ricki was! She's the best!

  Special Event Genie is the best! We saw Ricki in action at a friend's wedding; when we saw how smoothly everything went, we knew she was the wedding planner for us.
  
  Ricki helped us with all the planning; from our first meeting to the last minute detail, she was there for us. When our original wedding date was postponed by the pandemic, she worked with the venue and all the vendors so that we could pick up where we left off when restrictions were lifted.
  
  She made sure our wedding was the special day we wanted. She asked questions, made suggestions, gave us the benefit of her expertise freely. She was tireless in getting the details the way we wanted them. Her planning application was a real advantage here - she laid the key points of the day out in schematics, revising them as the rules of social distancing changed so we knew how every moment would look. It was easy to ask the "what would happen if we..." kinds of questions, because she could show us the answers. We didn't have to guess or imagine - we could see it!

  Getting Engaged & Planning Our Wedding!

  I recently got engaged to the man of my dreams, and soon after, accepted a job in a totally new industry. I knew my new job was going to be demanding, and I was going to need all the help I could get. We were really fortunate to find Ricki through a friend’s referral. Ricki was great from the very beginning. During our initial consultation, she took detailed notes of what we envision our wedding to be and helped us plan every step of the way. Even in the midst of a pandemic, Ricki has been proactive at scheduling and coordinating all of our appointments. We live in Santa Monica, and our wedding will be in Santa Barbara, Ricki has taken the time to drive with us to Santa Barbara to visit several venues multiple times. Most recently, Ricki and my best friends, including my mom, went wedding dress shopping together. Ricki took me to a fantastic place where I found the most beautiful dress. She is passionate about her job and delivers beyond expectations. She has made our lives a lot easier, I can easily recommend her to all my friends and family, she has been a great wedding planner, and we can’t wait to see all came together next year!

  Our Beautiful Wedding

  My wife and I would like to thank Ricki for all of her incredible work coordinating our wedding. We hired her quite late in our planning process and she still completely orchestrated everything we desired. There were a lot of last-minute changes, especially with our guest list and she fluidly rolled with it and had everything done on time for us! Every step of the way, she was there offering ideas, suggestions and advice to help make our wedding an exceptional and unique event. Ricki truly went the extra mile seeing so that all the arrangements were completed in a timely fashion—even thinking ahead to the unexpected with a Plan B and C! Rain was predicted and yet, we were still able to have an outdoor ceremony! Well, we didn’t worry knowing that Ricki was on board, planning for every contingency. When I called her in a panic the afternoon before, she had already arranged for the canopy to cover the grounds, for our ceremony and guest seating areas. Ricki was a gem to work with, generous with her time, and had a keen understanding of our religious customs. Our beautiful wedding went off without a hitch thanks to the creativity and organizational skills of our fully prepared “Special Event Genie®,” Ricki Lewis. We couldn’t have done it without her.
