Great communication!

We booked Spare Wheels Transportation for our 1st wedding anniversary party after a referral by the Courtyard Marriott St. Charles. I worked with Katelyn S. to book our 39 passenger coach bus for the event. She was awesome to work with and we communicated through email and over the phone. Everything ran smoothly the day of the party, and our shuttle driver Mark C. was accommodating as the final shuttle departed a little later due to clean up after the event. Would definitely recommend Spare Wheels Transportation for any private event needs!

Great company for transportation for your wedding

We booked SpareWheels for our wedding in Elburn/St. Charles, IL. They were easy to work with, and we even received a discount going through local hotels when booking with SpareWheels. We had two quick calls throughout the planning process, and the buses arrived on time for our event, and the drivers were very professional! My husband and I definitely recommend this company for your wedding!

Friendly and Reliable

Spare Wheels was amazing to work with! We had them provide shuttle service to our guests between the hotel and the ceremony/reception venue. The planning was super easy, just one phone call to discuss hours, schedule, etc. and one more call to confirm right before the wedding. Spare Wheels did a great job of communicating with the staff at our Wedding hotel and venue to make sure they were all aligned on the pickup and drop off. Before the driver left with the last pickup from the venue, he came to check with us that everyone was on board and no one was being left behind. We highly recommend Spare Wheels to anyone looking for wedding transportation. They are reliable and professional and helped take the stress out of our big day!

Safe and Efficient, All You Need!

Spare wheels provided transportation for our Wedding in October 2020 at Heritage Prarie Farm. They were on time, efficient, and friendly. They were also very flexible when we had to decrease our wedding from 250 to 50 due to COVID. Great value and great customer service! I would book them again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend Spare Wheels

This was an excellent company to work with for our wedding day transportation! Their customer service was fantastic. Everyone I worked with was kind, helpful, and knowledgable. Communication was great, and both buses we had were on time and comfortable. I loved the stop the clock option they had. This alone made them an easy choice! We chose Spare Wheels Transportation as our guest shuttle for our wedding. The 24-passenger shuttle was very nice and roomy for all of our guests. Spare Wheels was great about communicating shuttle pick up times with our hotel so that they could post the information in the lobby. They also had frequent communication with us during the planning process and the week of the wedding. If you're looking for a great, reliable company at an affordable price, Spare Wheels is the way to go.

Spare Wheels was fantastic to work with! They are super reliable! They answered all my questions quickly and had a lot of options for me to choose from. They arrived on time and got us where we needed to be quickly and safely on a snowy winter day. I felt so much better knowing I had them taking my guests back to the hotel at the end of the night with the snow that came. It truly was a relief. We had the black bus that seats 16 and it was just right. I am very happy that we went with a bus instead of a traditional limo. It was so much easier for everyone to get on and off the bus. Shuffling and scooting over in traditional limo would not have been fun especially in a big pouffy dress!

Sparewheels did an excellent job! We had all of our guests picked up on a yellow school bus at the hotel and driven to the ceremony. After the ceremony, he drove the passengers to the reception hall. The driver was early and pleasant. In addition, the pricing was reasonable- $130/hour for a total of 4 hours. They also allowed for 1 time stoppage, which was nice. I would highly recommend Sparewheels. The midnight bus ride with 60 people was a blast!

Everyone at Spare Wheels was so helpful and kind! The communication leading up to our wedding was outstanding and the service the day of was above and beyond!! Our driver offered to make two separate runs for us during photos and the ceremony when he heard we had forgotten things. The limo bus was clean and comfortable and just what we were promised. Great company!

Our driver was very professional and personable. He was flexible when our stops for pictures had to change due to unexpected rain and drove responsibly allowing my photographer to keep up with the party bus. We were very impressed with our driver and the quality and cleanliness of the bus.

Sparewheels were fantastic. They were so easy to work with and very straight forward with their pricing. It was especially nice to know that additional time was added in 15 minute blocks, rather than full hour blocks.

Due to unexpected showers, our plans changed quite a few times and our driver, Lisa, was absolutely amazing. As patient and professional as they come.

We booked the 25 passenger bus, and we were amazed at how comfortable it was. The leather seats gave us tons of room and they were so soft. It was such a classy experience.

My wife and I had a wedding party of 20 including ourselves so we decided to go with SpareWheel's 24-26 person party bus. The party bus was spacious and our driver was prompt and courteous. After the wedding party was dropped off at the reception hall for pictures, the party bus was used to shuttle our guests from the hotel to the reception and from the reception to the hotel following the big night. At the very end of the night there were eight of us from the wedding party who did not make the last shuttle and our drive returned after his last pickup and did not charge us for the slightly extra time. He was very polite and understanding given the very late night and we appreciated that. I would recommend SpareWheels to everyone, they made the logistics of this day very smooth.

I found Spare Wheels at a bridal expo at the Aurora Country Club. I won their raffle so I got a $50 off coupon. I would have booked them even if I did not have a coupon though. Their party/limo bus was so much fun and perfect for my large bridal party. My fiance and I were able to drop off all the liquor we wanted in the bus a few days prior to the wedding and they refrigerated it and had it cold and ready for us. The company and drivers were extremely flexible taking us wherever we wanted to go and made sure to contact me to discuss the details ahead of time to prevent any confusion the day of. Spare Wheels was also in charge of the guest shuttle to and from the hotel. I heard from guests that the shuttles ran smoothly without and hicups and no one was left behind :) I would recommend Spare Wheels to any and all my friends getting married or needing a party bus in the future.

SUPER easy to work with. Driver was super friendly. Driver showed up exactly where we asked him to be exactly when we asked him to be there and was super flexible when we were running behind schedule leaving the church. All of the staff I spoke with in their office during the planning portion were really friendly. Definitely would recommend them to anyone!!!!

We used this company for my bachelorette party, my husband's bachelor party and on our wedding day. Each time we had a different bus which are all wonderful and spacious and all of the drivers are very nice and accommodating. We used Spare Wheels for transportation from Riverside Receptions to the Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel in Geneva, IL. The shuttle provided service back and forth between the hotel before and after the reception. We were very happy with the service and that they allowed us to 'stop' the time once during the night (which we chose during the reception to stop the time). We had a few people who hung out at the bar after the reception and they waited for them to bring them back to the hotel. They were very organized and I didn't have to worry about a thing! That's important as a bride! :-)

Spare Wheels was more than willing to help us plan the perfect transportation for our wedding day. Even down to 11pm that night, they made changes to accommodate our guests. They were very good at keeping in touch throughout planning to the last payment, but were never obtrusive. We really appreciated everything Spare Wheels did to make our event a hit!

We hired this company to get our wedding party who was staying at the hotel to the rehearsal dinner. The experience with the company was excellent. It was extremely easy working with them.

The driver was very friendly, and willing to change the schedule last minute. He also provided us with his phone number if anything else changed. He was on time for pick up and drop off.

Spare wheels was a great find! We booked a bus to shuttle our wedding guests to and from the Hotel. I worked with Lorenzo, he was easy to work with, very flexible when our times and locations changed and the whole time very professional. The day of, our driver was very accommodating especially with the weather and amount of guests that needed rides. I was so impressed with the staff at Spare Wheels during the whole process of scheduling my transportation for our wedding. But most of all, our driver was amazing! I was stunned to find her still waiting for me and my husband well after what should have been our last shuttle run to the hotel. Not only did she wait for us, but she stopped so we could get something to eat and drink on the way back to the hotel. Every one of my guests who used the shuttle raved about how friendly and professional the driver was and I couldn't have been happier with my choice for transportation!

Sparewheels provided excellent service for an unbeatable price. In our pricing, we got to spread out our time to allow for transportation to the church, to our pictures, to the reception and then from the reception to the hotel. Sparewheels worked perfectly for our wedding day. They were right on time and our driver was friendly and courteous. He was extremely flexible and drove around until he got the ok to drop the groom off. Their pricing works perfectly, although they have a three hour minimum, they allow you to stop time once which worked well and allowed us to not have to pay for the down time during the ceremony.

Spare Wheels was a great find! They are the most economical transportation place I found in the area and allow you to break up the required time into blocks to allow for the greatest flexibility. This allowed us to get transportation to the church, to/from pictures, to the reception and then back to the hotel after the reception. The driver was always on-time and they even upgraded our vehicle to a limo bus and had it very nicely decorated! I highly recommend Spare Wheels!

Spare wheels was excellent at accommodating our last minute reservation and special requests. Staff were extraordinarily helpful and flexible, returning calls and emails even down to the last minute during the holidays. We reserved the 14 passenger limo bus and were able to use it for transportation between locations and hotels, and offer it throughout the evening as a shuttle for our guests.

Utilized two of the vehicles from Spare Wheels and it was great service. The drivers took care of the directions and were very nice. I would definately recommend them for shuttle service and wedding party transportation!

Sparewheels was a great company to work with. They were reliable, friendly, and worked with our ever-changing schedule! The vehicles were clean and punctual, and their drivers were friendly and accommodating to our needs. I would recommend them to family and friends!

Sparewheels was able to provide us with 2 party buses and a mini coach to help transport our guests safely back to the hotel. It was definitely one of the best decisions we made to ensure all of our guests could enjoy themselves for the night. Kathy was so helpful and provided plenty of options to accommodate us.

We hired spare wheels for our wedding. They were responsive and helpful the entire time we were planning. Our shuttles were late arriving at the venue for the ceremony, but that's because traffic was awful. We were waiting for the rest of everyone to arrive and I got a call giving me a status where they were at and an apology. It was really my fault not allowing enough time and traffic was horrible. I wasn't mad at all. I called several other transportation companies before I found SpareWheels and their pricing was also very competitive. The buses were nice. The shuttle driver didn't seem to mind that our intoxicated friend got on the microphone on the way back from the wedding to give a "tour." Laughs for all. Thanks to spare wheels for helping our guests get back to the hotel safe! I would recommend them to other brides.

Sparewheels provided excellent service for an unbeatable price. In our pricing, we got to spread out our time to allow for transportation to the church, to our pictures, to the reception and then from the reception to the hotel.

It is hard to review, as the bride, I did not sure their service! We used them for the shuttle for our guest. They are pretty easy to work with, mostly thru email. I wanted to add another service and there were more expensive and did not offer a multi vehicle discoiunt. But over all i would suggest them for shuttle service.

I would like to thank Sparewheels for saving the day. We requested this service after the hotel we used over-booked their shuttles. Sparewheels really accommodated us. It was a blessing for all who attended so they could enjoy themselves and not worry about driving.

I fought my husband on this vendor from the beginning. I am glad that we got the party bus and shuttle for the guests but it was still a pretty penny. I love the fact that we weren't crowded in the party bus and it was nice and cool for our July wedding. The drivers were prompt and got us everywhere in no time. I felt like they were difficult to get on the phone and we constantly were leaving voice mails back and forth. They stop the clock for the ceremony and picture spots for their 3 hour minimum which is something I'm told is rare and saves the couple money.

Well they are a little expensive, but I understand with the cost of fuel and insurance. We personally never used the service, we had a "getaway" car but we got it for all our guests that stayed at the hotel. We had a lot of guests at the wedding saying that it was nice that we offered this to our guests and even after at the hotel, the "tipsy" ones thanked us again. It's a very nice thing to have to not have to worry about your guests. And if you use it for you bridal party it has a DVD player and the big one has a bathroom!

Poor Professionalism Prior to Big Day

an over). When changing the address we discovered they originally had the address wrong for Hampton Inn North Aurora. Which I suppose I missed in small print on pre-invoice. However, I told them Yorkville & I am getting married in Yorkville. So I don't know how North Aurora got into the equation. (It's really far away for a wedding night hotel - wouldn't even make sense) So I believe someone accidentally put wrong Hampton Inn... & I didn't notice, and neither did I. So I am at fault.

So when it went terribly wrong is that, they charged us an additional additional $75 because we updated our hotel & it was out of their zone. Keep in mind this only added a few more minutes & miles onto their trip. They explained to me those extra minutes were to cover the drivers extra time to get to the location. But it was really only approx. 15 minutes? I mean $75 that's a stretch if you ask me! So would people 1.5 hour away still get charged the same $75? We truly were on the out skirts of their zone, however we were misinformed from the beginning.

It only got worse, when I confronted them about the charge & not being happy that they initially messed up the address & I had to essentially pay for it. NOT TO MENTION: I met them at a wedding show in Yorkville, IL & when I specific asked if there would be any additional travel charges they said NO. And when I brought that up to the woman in their office, she got defensive & pretty much told me I was lying.

The main reason I was so terribly dissatisfied was that the phone call I had with them trying to resolve the issue was TERRIBLY handled. At the end of the day, I wasn't asking them to remove the $75 charge. I was pretty much saying could we split the difference & I can pay half.

Maybe I made the mistake of not catching their mistake of putting the wrong address? However, I was explicitly told there was no additional charges to Yorkville (my venue & hotel) because they go there all the time... Looking back if they would have just charged me the $37.50 instead $75 I honestly would have been THRILLED & they would have gotten 5-stars all around. Companies & myself make mistakes... However, they way they handled it was awful. The customer is not always right, however a little goes a long way when you try compromise with customer. And there was NONE of that.

At the end of the day, the week of my wedding telling me I owe an extra $75 onto an already terribly expensive bill of $800 a couple hours of transportation... It is a lot to a bride who is already financially stretched so thin. Was $37.50 really worth such an unhappy outcome?

As any event planner will tell you ... things do sometimes go off course at an event. It's not always the day of that matters ... sometimes it's how the company handles the issues and the client follow-up.

The communication and kindness of the Spare Wheels staff leading up to the event was a 5 out of 5.
There were a few issues with the communication and shuttle driver the day of my wedding. The driver was running slightly behind schedule and she was confused about the drop off location of the guests. She also did not know the details on when/where to drop off the bride & groom and wedding party post-reception.

As you can imagine, we were initially very disappointed.
However, when it came down to it ... the owners (Judy & her husband) kindly e-mailed me last week and offered a refund that coincided with our concerns. For this reason, I would suggest using Spare Wheels. I would also suggest that anyone booking any service always be clear on their needs & expectations and thoroughly review the contract before the day of the wedding to ensure all details are clearly written out for the driver and staff. I was highly impressed by the efforts of conflict resolution the owners offered up.

THE WORST DECISION OF OUR WEDDING. Do not use this company if getting the bride to her own wedding is a priority.

We have had the worst experience possible with a terrible company. We rented a bus for three hours (2:30-5:30 pm) to get our bridal party to the venue. Long story short, when THE BRIDE was ready to travel to the venue at 4:45 pm, the bus broke down.

They had no backup plan, were unapologetic, and unaccountable. They offered to try finding a limo for us with a wait time of over an hour, which obv. will not work for a wedding. They don't service their fleet enough, as they can't even send us a bus that will work for three hours and drive 10 miles within the city.

So, since it was pouring in Chicago on Saturday with Lollapalooza going on, the bridesmaids had to go outside and try to hail taxis for 45 minutes. They didn't get to the venue until 6:00 pm. The ceremony was supposed to start at 5:30. We paid $575 to Spare Wheels so we would not have to deal with cabs/weather/uncertainties.

Their offered solution: refund us for 1 of the 3 hours because "the bus worked fine for the first 2 hours". Seriously. They failed to get the bride to her own wedding and their only response is that should count as one hour we don't have to pay??

Because of their bus breaking down, the wedding started 30 minutes late. This means we incurred more fees from the string quartet, lost 30 min of our reception, couldn't get to the venue early for photos, and the bride had to show up to her wedding in a Cab.

We'll never get back the half hour of our wedding and the photos that we missed out on, but we figured that they could at least refund our money. All we've asked from Spare Wheels is a full refund for their complete lack of reliable service on such an important day. They don't have enough heart, and not nearly enough brains, to realize that the right thing to do is accept that they severely screwed up and refund the full amount of our (breached) contract.
