  Absolutely Stellar!!

  They did an amazing job! I highly recommend doing it at the salon. It was such a fun atmosphere.

  Great hair, convenient

  Spalon was convenient and easy. For some reason I had such a hard time finding a place that was available and would come to me in Catskill on my wedding date. I was referred to Spalon from a family friend and they were really great and easy to work with. Chelsea came and did my hair and my bridesmaids’ very quickly and efficiently and was fun to be around. I hadn’t done a trial for my bridal updo so I kind of winged it with a series of inspiration pics on the day of, but I ultimately wasn’t very fussy about it and I was happy with the end result. The important thing was that my hair looked elegant, stayed up through a hot humid day, and only started to come undone after quite a lot of dancing.

  My four bridesmaids, mother, stepmother, mother-in-law, flower girl and myself all had our hair done at Spalon the morning of my wedding. A few of us also had makeup done.
  
  Roshanda and her team did a fabulous job! They kept everyone organized and on time and everyone felt great about their look! I felt like I looked like me, natural but a bit enhanced. My husband keeps saying how much he liked my hair that day.
  
  I very much recommend them if you are getting married in Hudson!

  These girls were awesome. Everyone in my wedding party looked beautiful. I loved my hair & everyone else's. They gave me gorgeous false eyelashes! They were so nice and accommodating and for a reasonable fee, had all three hair & makeup people at my hotel hours before the wedding. We all loved them.

  We hired the team from Spalon to do hair and make-up for my daughter's wedding on 8/27/2016. They showed up on time and ready to work. There was 8 of us for hair and make-up, they were quick and efficient and made us look and feel fabulous! Thank you Kelly, Emmy and Shelby... You were wonderful!

  Just recently used Spalon for our wedding. I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and the outcome for both my hair and my makeup! Jessica did an absolute great job with my hair and my makeup was fantastic! All of my bridesmaids still looked fantastic after the wedding too - hair really held up! Thank you so much Spalon!

  Spalon came to my hotel to do hair for my wedding. Jessica did a beautiful job with 6 girls: updos, blow out for short hair, and she even managed to squeeze in an unplanned straightening! And not only did she do everyone's hair well, but she also did it calmly and *efficiently*...kind of a big deal when you have a lot of hair to do in one morning! Spalon did a great job, I would definitely recommend them!

  There are not many nail salon options in Hudson, NY so I was happy to come across Spalon especially because they are an Aveda method salon.They were really great upfront with scheduling and being accommodating - I booked a mani/pedi for the day before my wedding and in the 2 weeks leading up I had to call and add on mani/pedis for my mom, 1 bridesmaid, and 2 of my younger cousins. Spalon was very flexible and able to get us all in! But I'm only giving a 3.5/5 because on the day of our appointment we had to push it back 1 hour (again they were SUPER accommodating) because we had so much going on with our wedding set-up. However they did not tell us that the only technician who could do gel manicures would not be in. If we had known we would have moved everything else around to be there at the original time. I purposefully had scheduled a gel mani b/c it takes less time to dry and knew I would have a lot to do after the appointment and would also be going on honeymoon for 2 weeks and didn't want to worry about my nails. So I was very dissapointed that they had no suggestions for trying to fix the situation. The girl who ended up doing my manicure must have said about 5 times that she normally doesn't do them and didn't really know what she was doing. As the bride who's already on edge, that is the last thing you want to say! I am not a selfish person but I wanted to feel special and taken care of and they did not make me or my group feel that way. I take some responsibility with the changing of our appointments and would recommend that anyone going be sure to give yourself plenty of time, make sure you have the right people taking care of you, and bring your own polishes (I wasn't impressed with their selection of color options).

  I ended up looking great...but

  I'll preface this review with I did look amazing on my wedding day. But I did not fully enjoy my experience with Spalon. First, I would not recommend a trial to other brides. It was expensive and a complete waste. I didn't love my hair and makeup at the trial, but we talked about how we'd fix it, and I felt better. However, the stylist that did my hair and makeup at the trial only did my makeup on-site and did not remember what we had done or what we had discussed in follow up calls. So, I pulled up a photo and hoped for the best. I had asked for a lipstick so I could touch it up during the day and it was not left with me; I went lipstick-less once it came off. I ended up loving my hair, so I'm actually glad I had someone different than in my trial. However, they did not affix my veil though it was included in the price. Luckily, my bridesmaid was able to put in my veil. The travel price was $150 flat even though our location was only about 12 miles away. Overall, I'm glad I looked great at my wedding but I think I just got lucky.
