May 2026 Wedding Venue
We knew from our first meeting with the Southpointe team that we could trust them to execute our wedding vision. Nicole is so good at what she does. She is so thorough, so detailed, and truly gets to know you as a couple. Not only is she talented, but she is so enjoyable to work with. She also has a wonderful team that help to bring everything together day of. I could not recommend the team or the beautiful venue enough. We have received so many compliments on the food, service, and overall venue since our wedding two weeks ago, and it makes me so happy that we made the choice to go with Southpointe a year & a half ago! -

We couldn’t be happier that we chose Southpointe for our wedding. Nicole and her team went above and beyond, paying attention to every detail and making the entire weekend feel seamless. She met with us several times leading up to the day to walk through every element, and the team handled so much on the wedding day itself that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Hosting our rehearsal dinner onsite was an added convenience, and our guests are still raving about the food from both events. The venue is beautiful for both a ceremony and reception with plenty of green space for pictures.
It was incredibly helpful to be able to drop off all of our décor and cookies two days before the wedding and pick everything up the day after. We never had to worry about setup or teardown and everything was handled with such care. Being able to get ready onsite also made the day feel smooth and relaxed. -

We chose Southpointe Golf Club as our wedding venue because our first apartment together was located in Southpointe. I could not have dreamed of a better wedding day if I tried! The entire planning process was seamless, and the team at Southpointe allowed us to have as many meetings as necessary in order for us to feel comfortable for our special day. Our coordinator, Nicole, was incredibly responsive and so enjoyable to work with. It is SO worth it to get married here. As a bride, it was so relaxing to not have to worry about vendors arriving and helping to set up - the team at Southpointe coordinated everything for us, so all we needed to do as bride & groom was focus on ourselves. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

From the very first moment we stepped onto the grounds of Southpointe Golf Club, we knew this was going to be something special. Our journey began with a warm and welcoming tour led by Lauren, whose enthusiasm and knowledge instantly made us feel at ease. She painted such a clear picture of what our wedding day could look like here, and somehow, the real thing ended up surpassing even those high expectations.
Nicole’s expertise and attention to detail made the planning process seamless and truly enjoyable. From our first meeting all the way through to the final walk-through, she was a calm, organized, and detail-oriented presence. She anticipated questions before we even asked them and made sure that no detail—big or small—slipped through the cracks. The “Taste of Southpointe” event, where we sampled the menu offerings, was such a highlight. It felt like an elegant, private date night and left us incredibly excited for our guests to experience the food.
On the wedding day itself, the entire Southpointe wedding team went above and beyond in every possible way. The getting-ready process was smooth and stress-free thanks to their constant support. Whether it was tracking down a specific drink flavor for someone in our bridal party or quickly bringing us something from another part of the venue, they handled every request with grace, speed, and a genuine smile.
Once the celebration began, we were blown away by how attentive the staff continued to be. They checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and were truly enjoying ourselves. Our guests are still talking about the food, from the elegant and flavorful cocktail hour to the main courses. The filet mignon in particular was a standout, with more than one guest declaring it “the best filet I’ve had in my entire life.” That’s not just a compliment—that’s a legacy-level statement.
The bartending team deserves its own round of applause. Not only were they friendly and engaging, but they also remembered guest preferences and served everything quickly and beautifully. The drinks were just as much a hit as the food.
Everything about the night—from the romantic ambiance of the venue to the professionalism of the team—was absolutely perfect. Southpointe Golf Club didn’t just host our wedding; they brought it to life, ensuring every moment was magical, memorable, and completely stress-free.

We recently had our wedding at Southpointe Golf Club and it was amazing! From the initial booking meeting with Lauren, to working with Nicole and her wonderful team throughout the planning process, we felt seen, taken care of, and they executed our big day perfectly. Nicole was responsive and helpful throughout our entire planning process, and was awesome at coordinating our wedding the day of. We had the most fun getting ready in their bridal suites and their servers were exceptional at making sure we had everything we needed or requested leading up to ceremony. The whole team at SPGC made our dream wedding a reality and we couldn't be more thankful that we chose them for our venue. -

This review won't do justice to the incredible work the event team does at Southpointe Golf Club, but I'll try my best. Nicole and the team were ten steps ahead on absolutely everything for our wedding. They are so experienced, organized, and detail-oriented. They came in with recommendations and ideas immediately, and they brought all of my dreams to life (and then some)!
My family has not stopped talking about what a wonderful job they did. Everything went so smoothly. It's like they were ten steps ahead of everything. The staff was so kind and attentive.
If I could go back and do it all again, I would pick Southpointe Golf Club every single time. I cannot thank them enough for all of the time, dedication, and love they put into every single step of this process, making it the most magical day ever. So please, if you are considering booking an event here, take this as a sign to do it. You won't regret it! -

Our Wedding 11/2/24
5 stars for everything! I speak for my husband and I when I say Southpointe Golf Club is amazing!!! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. The club and venue alone is gorgeous! I wish we could relive our day over and over again. It wouldn't of been what it was without the help of Nicole, Sara, Lauren and the rest of the team at the club! Everyone was so professional and on top of all our needs. Anything we needed they were always so quick to respond! Always available the day of - checking in! They paid attention to every detail when it came to the layout and vibe we were looking for. The amount of compliments we received from our guests speaks volumes! They made sure we always had drinks in hand and delicious food to eat. Everything was so organized and it took so much stress off of us that day. I can't put into words with how lucky and happy we are to have shared such a wonderful day at this venue! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thank you again Southpointe for making our dream wedding come true! -

Winter Wedding at SPGC
My husband and I had our wedding in December and SPGC was the perfect place to host our special day. From start to finish, our day was perfect and it was all thanks to their incredible staff. Lauren was so fun to work with and accommodated all of my ideas. She guided us every step of the way and made the planning process seamless. Can we talk about the food?! Our guests STILL rave about the food we had for dinner - filet and crab cake. I also still dream of the wedding soup. It was months of planning and on the day of my wedding when I walked into the lobby, everything looked absolutely stunning and all of my ideas came to life. The club is such a special place for me and I am so happy we chose to have our wedding there. I will forever be thankful for the team at Southpointe and I wish I could relive it all over again!!! -

The Wedding of our Dreams
On behalf of the newly deemed Mr. & Mrs. Metzler, we truly could not be more pleased with the decision to have our Big Day at the wonderful SouthPointe Golf Club.
They made the entire wedding planning process enjoyable and their wedding planning team (Lauren!) was top notch with how organized and easy they were to work with. With timelines for when things needed to be done, connecting us with all their vendors, etc. their entire operation was just very well organized and gave me and my wife confidence that we chose the right venue throughout our engagement. They also did a phenomenal job on our wedding day, flawlessly navigating our 22 Groomsmen & Bridesmaids throughout the day and keeping the whole event on time.
If there’s one thing that we recommend to any couple considering SGC as their wedding venue, it would be to go for it and then relax- your in good hands with the SGC team. They made our wedding day perfect.
Bonus Points:
1) All of our guests raved about how good the food was. We heard they had good food beforehand, but they definitely lived up to expectations
2) The mock wedding you get to attend to see all the vendors was very cool and unique
3) The vendors who work with SGC were all awesome and nice to work with -

We used the Southpointe Golf Club as our venue and Heather McDowell was our wedding planner! She was amazing! She met with us every step of the way and went over every detail. Heather was always available to answer all my questions, quick to set up a phone call, and calming when a stressful bride felt overwhelmed! It was an honor to work with such a prestigious vendor. Everyone was professional, accommodating, and left me to worry about nothing. Our wedding was perfect. This venue and their staff was beyond amazing and helped make our special day a little extra special. -

After going through many ups and downs with planning our wedding reception from being a Noahs bride and then dealing with covid Southpointe was there through all of it. They truly made our wedding reception amazing. We met with Lauren at Southpointe after Noahs was shut down and we were looking for a new venue. She gave us a personal cars and the gift of wine glasses and we felt so relieved to have a venue that actually cared and was willing to help us make our wedding reception perfect. Heather at Southpointe was also so great to work with, keeping us to up to date on all of our wedding planning needs. We finally got to have our reception on October 1, 2021 and we still have people talking about the venue, food, and overall wedding reception. We can't thank Southpointe enough for helping us plan our dream wedding reception with all the challenges 2020 brought us! It is definitely a night we will never forget! We highly recommend this venue!

I cannot recommend Southpointe Golf Club enough for anyone looking at venues outside of the city! Heather and all the staff were wonderful. In the months leading up to the wedding, Heather was always very responsive to answering our numerous emails and questions in a timely manner. She does so much work behind the scenes to make sure the wedding day runs as smoothly as possible. Our bridal party and so many people attending the wedding said it was the most efficient and best planned wedding they had ever been to. There was no stress for my husband and I on our wedding day! I’m addition to all the planning, the venue itself is gorgeous. Having our wedding at the end of October, we took beautiful pictures with the fall trees on the golf course. The food and service exceeded our expectations as well. Looking back, we couldn’t be happier with choosing SGC as our wedding venue! -

Our wedding reception was perfect! We could not have picked a better reception location. Heather was amazing and always available by phone or email to answer both my questions and my mother’s. The food was great and we received a lot of compliments on our French fry bar for our late night snack. You cannot go wrong with picking Southpointe Golf Club for your upcoming wedding or event! -

April 10 2021 Wedding
We had our wedding at Southpointe Golf Club on April 10th 2021 and cannot speak highly enough of our experience!! We had to reschedule our wedding and change our venue due to COVID-19. We found Southpointe and fell in love with the venue right away. They made the whole process of replanning our wedding absolutely effortless. The entire staff at Southpointe was wonderful, and we had such great experiences with every single employee that we worked with. However, we have to give a special shout out to Southpointe’s wedding and event planner, Heather. She is incredible! She helped us every step of the way, was so responsive, and always organized. She took the stress out of the whole planning process and made sure our wedding day ran flawlessly. Every detail was absolutely perfect and just as we had envisioned. We will never be able to thank Heather enough for all that she did for us! While our original wedding plans had to change, we can say without a doubt that Southpointe ended up being better than our original plans and more perfect than we could’ve imagined. Best wedding venue ever!!!
We had the most wonderful wedding at Southpointe Golf Club! Heather was the most helpful and kind person to work with. She made every change and roadblock so much more manageable and was able to work with us to make our guests feel safe and also have fun! Absolutely amazing!
Heather and her team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. My husband and I knew we wanted SPGC the moment we toured, and Lauren and Heather made the process so easy for us. I could not imagine hosting a wedding at any other venue. Heather was responsive, incredibly organized, and so kind. Even throughout the uncertainty of the pandemic, the SPGC team were nothing short of miracle workers. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have been a SPGC bride. I came to SPGC with about a month until my wedding because my original venue was cancelling on us. After postponing once already, I was overwhelmed but determined. Lauren, the sales director, was responsive, kind, understanding, and willing to work with us to have the wedding we had been dreaming about. After signing a contract within 3 days of contacting her, I met our wedding coordinator, Heather. She is my all time favorite human being. Heather understood my vision and made it happen. While we planned a ballroom wedding, COVID forced us outside and Heather was there every step of the way to help me figure out how to get the vibe and style I dreamed of. She FaceTimed me when the tents were set up, she let me change floor plans 5 times, she was honest and helpful every single time we spoke. SPGC had multiple weddings and events in the weeks leading up to my wedding but I felt like the ONLY BRIDE the entire time. Wedding day arrived and Heather and her team executed everything perfectly. She handled some family drama, made my mother feel special and included, figured out how to present my grooms cake and brought my husband a toothbrush when the icing turned his teeth a funky color. Her team brought me my own plate of mashed potatoes when it became clear they were my favorite part of the meal and kept our drinks full through dinner. My parents said they felt like VIPs. Everyone raved about the food, especially the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer. Every staff member was aware of the entire plan for the event and who the important people were. I felt like royalty. Not to mention the gorgeous views my guests were able to enjoy all night. Planning a wedding in 2020 was a rollercoaster but landing at SPGC was an absolute blessing. My day was perfect and Heather gets so much credit for it. SPGC was worth every penny. -

Wonderful coordinator and elegant venue
We cannot say enough good things about Southpointe Golf Club and their wedding coordinator, Heather! I was originally a Noah’s bride and after losing our venue, SPGC worked with us to make sure our special day could still happen as planned. Then COVID happened and SPGC continued to amaze us. Heather was always available to answer our questions and provide solutions. SPGC further impressed us with their flexibility and willingness to move our reception to the outside patio. The staff on the wedding day was fabulous! The servers checked in on us frequently and always made sure we were well taken care of. Our guests continue to comment on how wonderful the food was and I couldn’t agree more. When the wedding is over, you do not have to worry about cleaning up or gathering your items, SPGC does it for you. We continued to celebrate and went back the next day to find our items neatly organized and ready for us to take home. I would recommend SPGC to every bride! Thank you for helping to make our day so special! We will definitely be back for future events. -

Beautiful Venue, Even more Amazing Planner and Team
Southpointe Golf Club was the perfect venue to hold a wedding reception. From their first email down to the rescheduled wedding date, and every COVID-19 driven change in between, Lauren Mitchell, Heather McDowell and their team were nothing short of flawless. Our original wedding date, schedule for the beginning of May, very quickly changed due to the global pandemic that struck our world, just two short months before our big day. Heather stayed in constant communication with us, offering support, guidance and flexibility to ensure our day looked as close to how we had envisioned within the guidelines that regulations would allow. Our day simply could not have happened without Heather or the Southpointe Golf Club Team. Having a “COVID” wedding presented stresses up until the final hours before the wedding, but having such an amazing team supporting you made each decision easier. We used each and every vendor Southpointe Golf Club recommended in the Prestigious Package and could not have been more blessed with the amount of talent or the level of kindness their vendors possess. If you’re looking for a venue that will offer a classic, timeless atmosphere, amazing food, professional service and memories to carry with you and your guests...this is your place. To Heather and all of the SPGC team, I will never forget how amazing our experience with your venue was. This was the best decision we have ever made. We cannot recommend Southpointe Golf Club enough! From the moment we walked in doing our first tour of the venue until the time we left on our Wedding night, we have been in complete awe of the amazing service and all around attentiveness of the staff. Heather, the Event Coordinator, is a god sent and absolutely AMAZING. I am so Type A, and she made me feel at ease and stress free the entire year that we emailed back and fourth about everything and anything wedding related. So timely, so accommodating and so genuinely invested in making sure our special day went perfectly. We cannot say enough good things. We truly wish we could relive the day over and over again! -

AMAZING Venue and Staff!
I cannot say enough great things about our experience with SouthPointe Golf Club! They hosted our wedding in October 2019 and it was amazing. The coordinator, Heather, was so easy to work with and took away so much of the wedding planning stress! She was always attentive and very responsive. Amazing Venue

My husband and I chose Southpointe Golf Club for our wedding reception and our entire experience - from the planning to the completely magical day of - was wonderful!
We chose Southpointe for the beautiful ballroom, location, and all around classy feel - even without decor, each space (from the ballroom and balcony, to the ladies’ locker room) is beautiful on its own. With exquisite food and accents like Chiavari chairs included in their packages, every element of the reception was handled superbly by Heather and her team - and having everything included made it so easy for us!
Heather was a dream to work with! I cannot say enough about how amazing she, Makenzie, and Lauren handled everything leading up to and on the day itself. Communication was always timely, and Heather orchestrated everything the day-of with such detail - from helping set up the ballroom and decor, to making sure the events of the evening ran smoothly.
We received so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of the space, deliciousness of the food, and the incredible attentiveness of the staff. I am completely blown away with everything the team at SPGC has done for us. If we had to do it all over again, we’d choose Southpointe Golf Club in a heartbeat! -

We had our wedding on Sept. 7, 2019 at Southpointe Golf Club, and the day was a dream come true! We had both our ceremony and reception at SPGC. The venue is so beautiful, classic, and up-to-date. The ballroom provided the perfect space for the ceremony and reception. Our guests also enjoyed the bar and veranda during cocktail hour while the room was being flipped. My husband and I did our first-look photo shoot out on the green, and then had access to a golf cart for our bridal portraits. There are so many places for photos with a variety of backgrounds on the premises. The staff at SPGC is top-notch. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Heather, the Events Director, was the absolute best! She helped us with every step of planning and answered any question we had leading up to the wedding. During the rehearsal and wedding, she made sure every thing was set up properly and ran smoothly. We can't thank her enough! I would recommend SPGC to anyone looking for a wedding venue. -

We LOVED our experience with Southpointe Golf Club! My husband and I chose to have our reception at Southpointe based on the location, flexibility and beautiful ballroom. We loved how bright, updated and open the ballroom was, but it still felt so classic and elegant. It was also so nice how they setup cocktail hour and then switched it over during dinner to partly be a separate cookie table room. The ‘Pittsburgh Cookie Table’ was very important to us!
We also loved the number of packages they offer to customize your wedding. When we first started looking at venues we noticed that Southpointe’s packages seemed to be very all encompassing compared to other venues. It was so nice that we could make so many decisions with Heather at Southpointe and not have to research a ton of different third party vendors to find what we wanted (i.e. chiavari chairs, table linens, charger plates and uplighting). We loved that we could choose a package to fit what was important to us (i.e champagne toast). What we ended up with was an amazing experience leading up to our big day and the best reception we could have ever asked for.
Heather McDowell, Lauren Mitchell and McKenzie were all so amazing to work with, and they really did make the planning process as simple and relaxed as possible. Heather was so responsive when it came to setting up meeting times and responding to emails which was so helpful! She was also always willing to help give advice on things that we were somewhat unsure of (i.e. cocktail hour/ dinner table layout and linens). We were always able to get in touch with her up until the day before the wedding. We had several meetings to discuss logistics of the reception and she helped us a lot with our day of timeline. It was such a relief knowing that she was always on top of everything and I had nothing to worry about on the day of. The whole day turned out perfectly thanks to this wonderful team!
Lastly, the staff is also fantastic - they were all attentive, professional and very kind to guests, our families and the bridal party. I can't recommend the Southpointe Golf Club enough – we are so lucky they welcomed us to celebrate our big day with them!

Southpointe Golf Club made my wedding dreams come true! Heather was such an amazing planner and helped me through every aspect of planning. My family and I particularly loved the Taste of Southpointe event the club throws for all wedding couples to try the food and see all of the decoration options & vendors. The day of the wedding was a breeze! I was anxious about everything would coming together, but it was absolutely PERFECT and I should have never worried! Heather handled all my vendors from cake to DJ to flowers. Every decoration was exactly where I wanted it. Every single person at Southpointe was extremely kind and helpful. My guests raves about the food and the gorgeous set up! All of our pictures turned out to be stunning on the golf course & on the terrace. We would pick to have the reception at Southpointe over and over again!! They went above and beyond expectations. I am so grateful for all of their help :) DEFINITELY book southpointe for your wedding!! -
Nicole Sent on 06/12/2018I had the most perfect wedding day! I loved using Southpointe Golf Club as both my ceremony and reception site. They are such a beautiful venue as is that I really didn't even have to decorate extra besides my tables. I was so happy to find they had neutral colors in their ballroom (I was really turned off my some hotel carpet), and they had these grand chandeliers. The windows overlooked the golf course and my guests loved having the veranda and patio as extra space to step out during the reception. We took pictures inside, outside, on the golf course - all looked amazing whatever our background was. Heather and Lauren made it so easy to plan. They were both very responsive to any questions I had while planning, usually responding within minutes. They were so sweet and really made sure my day ran flawlessly. I cannot thank Lauren enough for everything she did on my wedding day. She was so on top of everything and so bubbly and kind throughout the entire day. We had our ceremony in the same room as the reception. The ceremony space was already set up when I got there to finish getting ready and it was so nice to see it prior to the ceremony. The staff flipped the room during cocktail hour to make my reception space incredible. My guests cannot stop RAVING about the food. I've had numerous people tell me it was one of the best filets they have ever had, and others said our chicken and polenta choices were also amazing. I feel like food is a huge thing people notice at weddings and I am so happy everyone was satisfied with their meals. They were so accommodating to my wants, such as a sparkler send off and setting up the reception exactly how I envisioned and told them. If I could plan all over I would choose Southpointe Golf Club as my venue again. Thank you for everything!

Rebecca at Southpointe Golf Club was an angel to work with. She was flexible, responsive always, and brought excitement and professionalism to every meeting. We were able to trust her with the most important day of our life without hesitation. Southpointe is a place where you don't even have to do much extra work to make the space impressive. It's beauty does so much of the work for you!
