I have to say that the staff and the food were delicious. The staff was very professional ,and made sure that every glass was filled, They made sure that your food was properly cooked.

Great wedding

On October 11,2024 , our son and daughter in law had their wedding here. We were really happy with everything, the food, the decor, the flowers ,everything. Chris , Matt ,Bobby and the entire staff were great. Many people texted and called after to say what a great time they had and most importantly the bride and groom.Grateful to have had our wedding here.

One of the best venues I've experienced

I am the father of the bride and a relatively critical person. I can't express how pleased I was with Southgate Manor. Everything they did was impeccable. The venue itself was beautiful and the staff was on top of every last detail. The food was plentiful and some of the best I've ever had at an affair. The cocktail hour itself could have been the whole dinner with it's variety and carving stations. The dinner was extraordinary with a choice of 4 entrees and was hot and delicious. truly haven't a bad word to say about this venue. It should definitely be on your list.

Our dream come true wedding

From the day we walked through the door to visit South Gate Manor, until the end of the night of our wedding the staff of South Gate Manor treated us like family. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was absolutely the best night ever. They succeeded in every way. The place is absolutely gorgeous, the food is off the charts and Matthew & Chris are the two most respected, nicest, easiest people to work with. You'll never find a venue so accommodating. Till this day my guests are still raving about our wedding and how perfect it was.

Couldn't Ask For More

We were at a wedding over Thanksgiving weekend and it was spectacular! The venue was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and everything was tastefully done. The staff was impeccable and anticipated your every move. The food, from the elaborate cocktail hour, the delicious main course - make sure to get the risotto, as it's the best I have ever eaten, right through to the stunning Venetian hour, was wonderful. This is the second wedding I attended at Southgate, and you truly couldn't ask for anything more from your venue!

11/10/2023 Wedding

South Gate Manor is hands down the BEST WEDDING VENUE. We got married 11/10/2023 and we can’t say enough good things about SGM. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, super clean, smells great, the ballroom/ dance floor is huge as well as the cocktail hour room !!! Speaking of cocktail hour.. when I tell you the amount of food they provided is actually INSANE! And it was all delicious, every single station!! Our guests are still raving about it.
From the moment we walked in we knew it was our place to get married. Matt and Chris were the easiest people to work with, and were always attentive with our emails & calls.
Our maître D, Bobby was absolutely fantastic, funny, and professional. If it wasn’t for him I think I would’ve been overwhelmed-but sure enough he was on top of it all. He just made our day run so smoothly.
Lizette & staff were professional and always kind to our guests, and made sure everyone was okay with their drinks, etc.
I’m so happy to say our guest cannot stop talking about our wedding and the venue. My husband Greg and I want to say thank you to everyone at South Gate Manor for the amazing hospitality. We love you guys and like we said, if we can get married there every weekend we would.

Unforgettable Wedding at South Gate Manor: A Dream Come True

Our June wedding at South Gate Manor was absolutely amazing, thanks to their outstanding staff. Right from our initial meeting with Chris, we felt we were in great hands. Chris and Matt were incredibly helpful in the lead-up to our big day, ensuring everything was just as we envisioned. On the wedding day, Lisette, Bobby, and David provided us with the best attention and care we could have asked for. Their expertise was so exceptional that my worries about needing a day-of coordinator were completely unnecessary. Our guests are still raving about our wedding, calling it the best they've ever attended, and praising the delicious food. The entire experience was so incredible; we wish we could do it all over again!

Hidden Gem

We originally chose this venue due to the large dance floor, but as the planning started to our wedding day, we could not have been more happier with South Gate Manor and working with Matt and his team. Our family and guests could not say more about the cocktail hour, quality of food, entreers, dessert and service of the wait staff. I am so happy that our family and friends saw what we saw on the first day. From the owners to Bobby the Maitre D, to Lizette and the rest of the South Gate Manor Crew - everything was top notch. Matt was flexible with timing, food options and wedding week. We loved how we were the only wedding of the day and felt that we had the best venue and team working with us. This venue is the hidden gem of NJ and should be ranked among the best.

Best wedding venue ever

Hello. I had my wedding at South Gate Manor on February 19th, 2023. I can not tell you enough good things about this venue. From the time of booking to the final days leading up to the wedding they made sure everything was exactly how my husband & I wanted it. The food was absolutely incredible!! The owners are wonderful & so easy to work with. The staff went above & beyond all night. I truly can not say no bad thing about this venue. 1000000/10 recommend.

Beautiful wedding with wonderful staff

When we initially met with Matthew about our wedding, I instantly had a good feeling about selecting South Gate Manor. Matthew and Chris, along with their staff, made it clear to us that they’d make our day special and the team and venue did not disappoint. Bobby and Lisette, along with the rest of the day of team, was attentive, got us everything we needed, guided us through everything that was going to happen that day, and made sure we were taken care of. Our guests were raving during the reception about what a wonderful wedding it was. Highly recommend South Gate to anyone looking for a wedding venue. The venue itself is beautiful, the food is absolutely amazing and the staff are friendly and attentive.

The Best Wedding Venue Around!

My daughter was married there on Friday, 4/1. Everything was wonderful. The food, the atmosphere, the service! The attendants! Nothing left to desire! Our attendant David was the best! I would recommend to anyone looking to have a wedding at a unique and delicious place to go to South Gate Manor

Best venue in nj!

There are no real words that can describe how special they made our big day! Everyone was amazing and made the whole planning process so stress free. When I tell people we had NO stress from wedding planning they dont believe me! But the South Gate Manor was amazing from start to finish. The day of everything went smoothly thanks to Bobby & Lizette. They were so fun, calming, and organized and the perfect additions to have by our side and everything was amazing. Our guests were raving about the food, how beautiful the venue was, and how exceptional the service was. Matt and Chris were always available and knowledgeable during the planning process and Stephanie did an amazing job with bringing our flower design vision to life.

Best night of our lives!

South Gate Manor was the absolute best choice for our wedding! From dealing with the owners, Matt and Chris Marino, to the amazing staff I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Matt treated me and my husband as if we were family. The decor was so elegant and the floral pieces by Stephanie Marino of M2 Floral were breathtaking! I have nothing but praise for the food! The best food you will have at a wedding. If you left the wedding hungry, you did something wrong. I will forever brag about my time at South Gate Manor and hope to go back there soon as a guest at another even.

Truly a dream!!!

Not sure where to even start with SGM. My husband and I went to NYE here a few years ago and had such an amazing time that when we got engaged, South Gate was the first place in mind. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. From the decor, to the food, to the service, South Gate was top notch!!!! Bobby was our maitre’d and Lizette was our bridal attendant, both were phenomenal!! Neither of us had to worry about a thing all night long. Our parents also each had their own attendants that checked in with them all night. The food is INCREDIBLE and did NOT stop all night. Our guests are still raving about the quantity AND quality!! The dessert station was amazing as well, and the custom made that selection with us. Our guests with dietary restrictions also had the optional to make requests in the moment and were able to get whatever they needed/wanted. Matthew and Chris, the owners, were so accommodating and so great to work with throughout the whole process and they both stayed the entire night!! They checked-in with us and our parents throughout our reception to make sure we were happy. They also give you SO MUCH for your money. It’s unreal!! I honestly cannot say enough great things about South Gate. We wish we could experience our wedding all over again because it was truly a dream!! Even more amazing than we could have EVER imagined!!! Thank you for making our day unforgettable!!!!

Beyond Perfection!

Above and beyond! I have struggled to write this because there are no words that truly capture how perfect the South Gate Manor and the staff are.
Everything from the service, to the food, the venue, and the entire planning process was everything we could have asked for and more. Matt and Chris truly love and take pride in what they do and will make sure that your wedding day is beyond magical. The entire staff, especially Bobby and Lizette, were amazing and made us feel like royalty on our wedding day. Matt was so amazing to work with and plan our wedding. As a bride and groom with dietary restrictions he made sure we had plenty of options on our wedding day, and as simple and silly as it sounds, we are so grateful to be able to eat at our own wedding!
The venue is absolutely beautiful and our guest could not get over the cocktail hour and the food. If I could host every event for the rest of my life at South Gate Manor, I would. If you want a stunning venue, with amazing food, service, and the all around best night of your life, look no further.

Incredible venue!

I can’t say enough great things about SGM. We booked SGM almost a year and a half before our wedding and Matt was so helpful throughout the whole process. We loved the family run business, the food was outstanding, and our entire wedding was an absolute dream. Bobby (Maître De) and David (bridal attendant) were absolutely incredible- they knew what we wanted before we even thought about it. Our guests were amazed with the entire night and are still raving about it! The entire process and wedding day was so stress free because of everyone at South Gate Manor. Truly an incredible venue and we are so glad we chose SGM!

Dream come true wedding

If you are not sure about which hall to choose, this is your sign to choose South Gate Manor. Matthew & Chris are such wonderful guys to work with. The entire staff is exceptional and took such good care of not only us, but our families as well and that speaks volume on the type of place is it. Absolutely amazing

I cannot say enough good things about South Gate and their team. Matt was amazing to work with from beginning to end and made sure we had everything we asked for. David and Lizette - the bridal attendants are the nicest people I've ever met. All morning they were refilling our glasses while getting ready, made sure we ate and took care of everything. I didn't have to do ANYTHING to ensure a smooth day, it was handled before I could even ask. Now Bobby, our Maitre'd was hands down the highlight of wedding. He is absolutely amazing at what he does. We wanted for nothing, he had drinks appearing at the exact time we were finishing them. He brought us our own plates of food from cocktail hour and dessert before they started just to ensure we had something. He was with us every step of the way throughout the day. You will absolutely not regret choosing this team to help you with your special day.

Look No Further for Your Wedding Venue!

Getting married? Stressful. Getting married during a pandemic? Even more stressful! Thankfully, we chose South Gate as our venue and our experience was absolutely phenomenal. Matt, Chris, Stephanie, Bobby and Vanessa went above and beyond to ensure that our day went smoothly, as we had planned and hoped for it to be. I was so worried about certain details and I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived and everything was already taken care of! The venue itself is breathtaking and the outside ceremony landscape is perfect for first-look photos and sharing intimate vows. We decided to have a cocktail-style wedding with endless food and drinks all night long instead of traditional dinner. Everyone LOVED the amazing variety of food and we have received so many fantastic compliments about our wedding even months later!! Seriously, the food is out of this world, especially the variety! The most important part about South Gate Manor is that they only have ONE wedding per day, which means the staff was DEDICATED to serving us and us only. We feel so lucky and blessed to have had the BEST experience with South Gate Manor.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience

An absolutely amazing experience! From the beginning, Matthew was clear, informative and attentive to any questions we had. Anytime we had a question or sought advice, we received a prompt response.

Our wedding day was better than I dreamed it could be. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that my only job for the day was to enjoy my wedding. David was a wonderful bridal attendant and took care of any details I had, while our Maitre D' Chris was fantastic at keeping everything moving and on point. They also made sure I ate -- I didn't want to be a bride who didn't eat! Every staff member helped make our wedding memorable, and I felt like I was living a First Class life for a day.

Our guests raved about the venue and the food, and we're still receiving compliments about it. We're so thankful we went with South Gate Manor, and I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

Above and beyond our expectations!

The South Gate Manor went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding day perfect. From beginning to end, we could not have been more pleased. My husband and I have received endless compliments from our guests about the delicious food (from cocktail hour to the main course and dessert stations) to how lovely the venue was. The owners were outstanding, as well as the chef and team that made the day spectacular. Matthew/Chris were quick to respond to inquiries, details and changes. We knew from the start that we were in great hands. The wedding crew assigned to us (Bob, Lizette, David) did a fabulous job making sure we were organized and on time. They took care of everything and checked in on us often to make sure we had what we needed so we could fully indulge and enjoy our day. Best Wedding People Have Ever Been TOO

If I could give SGM 10 stars I would. My brother had his prom at this venue and said to me when he came home you need to have your wedding there. A year later I was engaged and we looked at this venue and fell in love. We looked at a lot of venues and nothing compared to South Gate Manor. This is family run and amazing. We were told before and after we booked our wedding there by people "best wedding I've ever been, too" "phenomenal food" "great service" from all ages. And that is what we got for our wedding. My husband and I were so impressed. Our day was perfect and anytime we turned around we had the staff at our sides with food, drinks, bouquets, and whatever else we needed. Exceptional staff - (Bobby (Maitre D) & Lizette & David (our bridal attendants). Thank you Matthew, Christopher, and Stephanie (M2 Floral & Event Design) for making our day perfect.

Most amazing experience!

South Gate Manor was an absolute dream! From the moment we met with Matt and Chris they made us feel at ease. Anytime I would get a little stressed, they ensured me things would be perfect, and they were right! From the food to the service, to the amazing atmospheres they create, it truly was a magical day. Everyone I spoke with who attended the wedding couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food selection was. From the spread at the cocktail hour to the endless desserts at the venetian hour.
Another wonderful thing was having the matradee and bridal attendee right next to us the whole day. It made me feel so comfortable. From the moment we stepped off the bus, they were there to hold my hand and my dress. If something silly or small happened they were right there to take care of it. Earlier in the evening, before cocktail hour I was getting my hair redone and had been running around all day and was so hungry. My matradee made me sit down with napkins and spoon feed me as I got my hair done. He went above and beyond to ensure I eat and enjoyed myself. At the end of the night I spilled something on my dress and before I could even ask for a napkin, he was on his hands and knees cleaning my dress. These silly little things really made a different of the day to make sure it went perfect. I would gladly host another event here or recommend to a friend. South Gate team you are amazing!!!!

Beautiful Venue & Delicious Food

South Gate Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding for so many reasons. First off, Matt and Chris were so easy and amazing to work with. They created the perfect menu from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert that incorporated all of our favorite things. The venue and outdoor grounds are absolutely beautiful and look amazing in our photos. Matt and Chris were so accommodating throughout our entire planning process and really helped us make our evening so special. The day of the wedding, bridal attendant Lisette and maitre d Bobby were so incredibly attentive to our every need and were so helpful the entire night. The food was top notch and incredibly delicious. Food was a very important aspect to us and we were so satisfied with everything. Our guests (many of which were hard to please Italians from Staten Island & Brooklyn) raved about the food for days following our wedding. We wish we could re-live our night at South Gate. Thankfully, we will be attending a wedding there as guests in December and we cannot wait!

Wedding of our dreams

The staff at Southgate Manor was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we walked in and met Chris and Matt we were blown away! The entire wedding planning experience was amazing with them! So easy to work with and Accommodating every step of the way! The hall itself is breathtaking , and the FOOD to DIE for ! The cocktail hour the dinner the VENETIAN! My phone has been going off for days with great reviews about it! Everysingle person that works at southgate made our day so amazing, not one complaint. Bridal attendants were on point and didnt leave our sides, our bartenders, waiters coatcheck valet everysingle person! Chris ran the show that night not only as the owner but as the

50th Wedding Anniversary

This past Sunday, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at South Gate Manor. You, the entire Marino family, put the place in our hands for a customized festivity. And what a job it was! Everything was perfect. Chris and Mathew who handle the banquet did everything we asked and then some. Brian, who handled the video was fantastic, Stephanie, the florist, couldn't have been better. When Bobby (the best maitre d ever) took us to view the ballroom on our own, before the quest were allowed in from the cocktail hour, we were speechless. It was a vision come true. The Venetian hour was as our guests expressed "over the top". We would not have changed a thing for the evening. A special thanks to SGM for allowing us to include all the special stations of food that we wanted, for setting up for two bands so we could have music at all time, to allowing special request for flowers and for ending up with a dream of a life time. We will never forget this evening and better yet neither will our guests. So many have expressed that they have never been to such a wonderful affair as this was. Magical, Enchanting, Perfect

My husband and I have nothing but praises for South Gate Manor. South Gate Manor was the first wedding venue we visited and the last. We knew after our first visit it was our venue. A big selling point was that they only do one wedding at a time. This was amazing because the detail and attention they gave us was unbelievable. Chris, Matt, and Stephanie were more than accommodating and helped us every step of the way to make our wedding vision come true. We have guests constantly texting us telling us how perfect our night was and how amazing all their food was. To top of the day out Maitre D and Bridal attendants were angels. Absolute dream come true

My husband and I had our wedding reception at South Gate, and are still on cloud 9. Chris and Matt made the entire process so easy. They were so quick to get back to us with all of our questions, worked with us to make sure our day was as perfect as we had envisioned. The day of was a complete fairy tale. Chris text me the morning of, which I am almost positive most owners would not do, and that set the tone for the rest of the day. From the time we arrived at South Gate, the maitre d and bridal were absolutely phenomenal. Our drinks were always full, and anything we could have needed, they were already right there with it. Everyone always says be prepared because something will go wrong, but after our experience I have to say I disagree, because not one thing went wrong! We could not be happier with our decision to choose South Gate!! Thank you guys so much for making our fairy tale a reality!

Amazingly perfect!

Joseph and I got married on November 10, 2018, Chris, Matt, Bobby (maître’d), Jennifer (the bridal attendant) and the rest of the Southgate Manor staff were absolutely amazing. SouthGate Manor was the first and only venue we visited because the moment we walked in we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. From the moment we walked in last September, Chris Marino treated us like family and royalty and that continued through to our wedding and even afterwards. Their level of professionalism and attention is top notch. Both Chris and Matt were in attendance on the day/night of our wedding, which was amazing and made us feel so special. Bobby was incredible, and a bustle genius. He is very professional but also very down to earth which made it easy to get along with him. Before we could even ask for something, Bobby already had it on the way or already there for us. Jennifer, well she was an angel sent from above. She was my right hand and helped me with everything and anything, even after the wedding was over and her duties to me ended – she helped me change out of my wedding dress. We cannot say enough amazing things about Chris, Matt and the rest of the team. The food was awesome from cocktail hour to the Venetian hour. All our guests raved how amazing and delicious the food was and how attentive the staff was through the night. The next day and even today, we are still getting phone calls, and text messages from guests telling us how great the venue is, how good the food was and how excellent the service was at SGM. We’ve even had guests ask us to throw another party there! It was truly a magical night and we cannot be any happier with our choice in our wedding venue. Thank you so much for making our wedding perfect and be more than what we ever expected, and dreamed of.

Unbelievable wedding venue!!

South Gate Manor truly made our wedding day absolutely perfect with their professionalism and personalization to our wants!! Chris made us feel so comfortable from start to finish! Out of the 10+
Wedding halls we looked at, South Gate Manor surpassed them all with its elegant look, ballroom, outdoor area, cocktail room and bridal/groom suites and bang for your buck! We loved that they only have 1 wedding at a time and had no concern about most of our guests having a seat during the cocktail hour. We had our ceremony at SGM and they were more than accommodating for all of our needs. The staff including our bridal attendant and Maitre D were available and by our side the entire day from hours before the ceremony and until the very end of our night!! The wait staff was unbelievable as well!! The food from the cocktail hour was unforgettable, especially the fresh mozzarella station!! The options for dinner were abundant and each meal was fantastic. The Venetian hour was beyond incredible with an enormous amount of choices. Family and friends are still raving about how amazing the food was from start to finish and how well the wedding went overall!! The bacon egg and cheeses to go were a huge hit and a delightful end to our happily ever after!! Thank you so much to the SGM management & staff at South Gate Manor for making such a memorable wedding day for us!! We would highly recommend SGM to everyone and encourage you to add the Venetian hour as it was the best we’ve ever had!

Perfection.

it’s hard to explain how amazing chris , matt, Bobby and the rest of the amazing staff were at my wedding this past Friday. The level of professionalism the respect and the attention to detail can never be matched. From the moment we walked in over two years ago to book to the moment we left at the end of our wedding we were treated like royalty. And not just us as the bride and groom. But all our guest were raving about the staff and the owners and how they treated everyone. South Gate manor is the only way to go when booking a wedding. My husband and I just had our wedding at the SGM. Many of our guests have reached out to tell us that it was one of the best weddings they'd ever gone to! The food is wonderful and the ballroom and cocktail hour room are beautiful. The maitre d' and bridal attendant were wonderful and so helpful on the day of our wedding. We are so happy we chose SGM as our venue! Also, we used Stephanie Marino, SGM's preferred florist (M2 Floral and Event Design). She worked so hard on our wedding florals and made sure they were set up perfectly at our church and in the ballroom.

I am not even sure where to begin. We are BEYOND thrilled with our wedding at South Gate Manor. From the moment we booked the venue until the very end of our reception everyone there was amazing. Chris and Matthew were extremely helpful and accommodating leading up to the wedding, answer all of my MANY bridal questions. They were even both there on the night of, which was FANTASTIC. Bobby the Maitre'd was INCREDIBLE. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his team. From the moment we arrived at the venue for pictures, he made us feel like royalty. No detail was too small and no part of the night was forgotten or not planned to perfection. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We've attended a wedding at South Gate Manor in spring of 2017 which was an absolute blast. The hall is big and beautiful. The food for the happy hour and entree courses was delicious. And of course the Venetian hour was the perfect way to end the night. Everyone raved about that wedding for months afterwards.

Needless to say, we were interested in this venue for our wedding. At first we didn't think we were able to afford it, but Matt offered us rates we couldn't refuse. He and Chris were very helpful throughout the booking process. We engaged in many calls leading up to the wedding where we talked about everything, such as vendors, payments, food and drinks, scheduling, etc. They have lots of experience with weddings, so they proved to be very helpful with the process. And they only host one event at a time.

Everything went very well on the day of our wedding. Just like the wedding we attended last year, the food for ours was delicious. The venue and lighting was stunning. Most importantly, all of our guests shared how attentive the staff was. Unlike most halls, the servers took everyone's orders at the time of and asked how they want their meals cooked (most venues I've experienced don't ask you how you want your steak or fish cooked). On top of that, they took down everyone's preferred drink of choice, and kept serving refills when they were getting low. This saved many trips to the bar, and was such great customer service that none of us expected.

Overall, it was a great time. The food is delicious, venue is beautiful, dance floor is huge, and the price is right.

Where do I begin? We just had our wedding at SGM last night and I am still on cloud 9. This place is unbelievable. They totally exceeded my expectations in every way. I have been getting calls and texts all day long about the food, the incredible service, and everyone saying this is the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The venetian hour! Oh my god the venetian hour! We were BLOWN away. My guests can’t stop talking about it. No one has ever seen ANYTHING like that!!!! Last but not least...Bobby and Jennifer. They are truly outstanding and there are no words to justify how unbelievable they really are..you just have to experience it. Anything we wanted or needed they made it happen. They were always right there next to us, they became our best friends for the night!! We literally felt like family. I am so happy we chose SGM for our wedding venue because I have never been so happy in my life. It was perfect in every single way imaginable. Thank you to the staff for making our wedding night so magical. It’s a night we will never forget!

South Gate Manor put on a wedding better than we could have ever imagined. We worked mainly with Matthew and then Chris closer to our day, and any requests we made were met far beyond our expectations. Our guests have complimented us multiple times on how beautiful the venue is, how amazing and plentiful the food was, and just what an amazing time they had. The cocktail hour room is spectacular, the outside space is gorgeous for pictures and the ballroom is so spacious, 234 guests sat comfortably without backing their chairs into each other. Bobby the maitre-d is wonderful, he made sure every little thing went perfect (and took care of the few seating hiccups and shuttle issue we had - which was no fault of the venue), and his knowledge and experience is apparent. Lisette, the bridal attendant was so sweet and was there whenever I needed her. Our parents can’t stop talking about how well taken care of they were as well. The wait staff is highly trained and on top of their game. The guests had more than enough to eat from the minute they walked into cocktail our until their last dessert. Everyone enjoyed the food, from the tripe at cocktail hour, the multiple courses, the sorbet in little cones and even the asparagus! We want to recommend South Gate to everyone we know who is planning a wedding so we can come back and enjoy it as guests! The night flew by and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night!

When I first toured South Gate Manor, I got the feeling that I would be marrying the love of my life there. On Sunday, December 3rd, I did. The day was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Our maitre'd, Jennifer, ensured that our day would be perfect. She and our bridal attendant, Lissette, kept me calm and put all my anxiety at rest.

The ceremony was exquisite. They turned my vision of intimate and romantic into a reality. Stephanie Marino, owner of M2 Floral, nailed our flowers, from our bouquets and boutonnieres, to the ceremony vases and reception centerpieces. When we got into the cocktail hour, every guest who came up to us or who we greeted raved about the food and how beautiful the ceremony was. That was only the beginning!

Once the reception began, I lost track of how many times we heard, "This is the best wedding I've ever been to!" My heart was so overwhelmed with joy and happiness, and it's all thanks to South Gate Manor.

I NEVER write reviews, but South Gate Manor gave my husband and I the WEDDING OF OUR DREAMS this past weekend!! Chris and the whole team were top notch throughout the entire planning process and day of. He was so accommodating and easy going, he always made us feel like nothing we asked was out of reach. Jennifer and Lisette were always a step ahead of me and were able to rein in my very large bridal party, which was a feat within itself!

The food, OH MY GOD THE FOOD. We received so many compliments on the cocktail hour which seemed to be endless, the meals were delicious, and the UNBELIEVABLE venetian hour. The presentation, the amount of food and options...everything was unreal. Our guests were saying they've never seen anything like it before. Truly worth every penny.

We also went with the house florist, M2 Floral. STEPHANIE WAS INCREDIBLE. If you are debating going with anyone else, look no further. I REPEAT STEPHANIE IS THE BEST!!!! She sat down with my family for multiple hour sessions just throwing around ideas and coming up with innovative ways to present arrangements. Not only that but she assured us that we need not worry about getting less on the day. Don't vendors always overpromise? Not Stephanie, she truly gave us MORE than we thought we were getting. Endless compliments on our centerpieces, chuppah, and so many other personalized touches. She was so much fun to work with and so attentive throughout the whole process.

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. Anything we asked for they were able to work with us on and give us the wedding of a lifetime. We are so grateful we were able to go with South Gate for the happiest day of our lives.

I want to begin by saying I have never written a review before today. I was married March 25, 2017 at South Gate Manor and since the time I walked in for my initial appointment to the second I left on my wedding day I could have not been more than 100000% satisfied, amazed, pleased and completely elated with the outcome.

Matthew and Chris are the BEST PEOPLE EVER! They helped me with everything and anything I needed the entire way through. They are genuine people and, when asked, will give you completely honest answers, opinions and suggestions. (Which is extremely rare)

Anytime I called or left a message I would get an IMMEDIATE response (even when I would message Matthew on his cell phone/instagram/Facebook etc. etc. etc.....at 11PM at night!!!!)

On my wedding day Bobby, Matthew and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure every single thing went perfect!!!! They were organized, attentive and on top of every aspect of the entire event. There was not one thing I had to worry about. Everyone LOVED the food, the service, the hall itself, the presentation and the entire evening. I am still getting phone calls from family and friends about how it was the best wedding they have been to! Choosing South Gate Manor for the most important day of my life was the BEST DECISION I HAVE MADE!!!!! (Besides my husband). :)

We had never been here before or heard of them before our wedding day. However.... they exceeded our expectations and EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL!!! They made our wedding day so special and all of our family and friends loved it, from the food to the atmosphere, grounds, etc. The staff is excellent and knows their stuff!! My maid of honor and mom forgot how to bustle my wedding gown LOL but South Gate's staff was on top of it and knew exactly what to do. They were very accommodating. We made our own floral centerpieces and they allowed us in early that morning to set everything up and add what we wanted for decor and they were very helpful along the way. The FOOD is amazing!!!! We had their standard cocktail hour but it was from far from standard!!!! Making FRESH mozzarella has been a family tradition for us for decades and South Gate had a chef at our cocktail hour make FRESH mozzarella right on the spot!!! It was SO amazing!!! If Freehold is your wedding city, don't look anywhere else!! :D

We had the ceremony in half of the ballroom and the reception in the other half. Every aspect of the day/night was perfect. Bobby (the maitre d) was attentive and comforting during a day of nerves! Also, the bridal attendant David was incredible! From the time we arrived at 9am to begin getting ready to the start of the ceremony at 630pm he was available for everything I didn't even know I needed. Right before I started to walk down the aisle with my parents we had a little chat and his charming personality and calming attitude was perfect in that moment. I honestly don't think I would've been able to walk straight without his pep talk. He stayed inadvertently at my side all evening bringing the right drinks at the right time and even had my flip flops ready to go the second all of the formal dances were over.

Friends and family have been raving about the quality of service, the amount of food and the overall wonderful wedding that Southgate helped us to create! I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking to make their wedding day the most memorable event possible.

It was truly the most amazing day of our lives and we couldn't have chosen a better venue than Soutgate. From the initial meetings to the very last second of leaving Southgate, it was spectacular. They go absolutely above and beyond for you. You will not regret having your wedding here! Bobby, our maitre'd was AMAZING. He did everything you could have imagined and knew what you needed, even things we didn't think of. Jen, our bridal attendant was fantastic. The whole staff was so great to all of our guests. We got married almost 2 months ago and everyone is still raving. It just couldn't have been a better day and we couldn't have done it without Southgate.

From the second we walked into the South Gate Manor we knew it was everything we were looking for. The cocktail hour room was beautiful with the floor to ceiling windows along one wall leading out to a stunning garden with a pergola. Another wall was a big beautiful bar, and the other walls were lined with spectacular food tables. The decor was simple and elegant and took our breath away. When Matthew showed us into the ballroom, we were not let down. It was big and beautiful with modern decor and an unlimited size dance floor. He led us upstairs to an amazing bridal suite. We were so excited with everything that was included and how accommodating everyone was that we booked right away. The planning process was a breeze. Matthew and Christopher took care of everything. They were always a step ahead of me making sure there was never any stress in planning.
The night of the wedding was the best night of our lives. Bobby and Jenn were by our side from the moment we walked in the door. They helped fan us off in the heat and made sure all of us and our bridal party had water to cool down. They ushered us into the bridal suite where the music was pumping and we got to share that special moment with our closest friends and family. Bobby and Jenn were on their hands and knees bustling up my dress to ensure I looked perfect. There was never a moment we were without our drink of choice in our hands - but they also made sure we were hydrated and fed. ;) Speaking of food - everything was incredible! There was so much and such a variety - We highly recommend the fresh mozzarella bar add on!! :) Our guests are still complimenting how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the food and service was. We could not sing higher praises for the South Gate Manor and we recommend all couples to check it out for their special day!!!

I really am not sure where to start. We are beyond thrilled with how our wedding turned out. Chris and Matthew are extremely accommodating and helpful every step of the way. The prices are reasonable and many things that were "add-ons" at other venues are standard for them. Prior to our big day, we were never told no when we made a request, no matter how big or small. One reason our day was flawless was because Bobby, the Maitre-d', was AMAZING. He with us every minute of the wedding. Whenever we needed ANYTHING (including bustling my dress!) he was on top of it! He made sure we ate dinner and had plenty to drink. We really can't say enough about how great Bobby and the rest of the staff are! The food was not your typical wedding food. Everything was fresh and high quality. A few guests commented on asking for their steak to be rare and it came out exactly how they requested. The only complaint that we have received from our guests is that their was TOO MUCH food! We ended our night with a breakfast sandwiches and drink for each guest as they left. We LOVE SGM!

When my soon to be husband and I started looking for venues at the beginning of our engagement, after looking at 2 places we randomly came across South Gate Manor. As soon as we walked in, we felt this was the place for us and we were right! Chris made us feel right at home and we knew this is where we wanted to get married. Everyone at South Gate was extremely professional and friendly and after picking our venue we heard some many good reviews from friends and family that had been there before. I could not have asked for a better wedding - Bobby and Lisette were amazing and made sure we were all taken care of! My husband and I got married at South Gate on September 25th and we were SO happy with EVERYTHING Matt, Chris and the rest of the team did to make the day PERFECT. The food is amazing, they are extremely flexible and easy to work with and go out of their way to give you exactly what you are looking for. We had our ceremony at the venue also and it was beautiful! We recommend this venue to all of our engaged friends and can't say enough about what great people south gate manor has on their staff.

I just have to mention quickly about the exceptional service we received from our Maitre d', Bobby. This guy was EVERYWHERE and answered and addressed every issue BEFORE my husband and I ever knew about it. He anticipated our needs, had the day mapped out to the minute and made the day run FLAWLESSLY. Did I mention that he bustled my dress and perfectly removed my veil in literally 10 seconds flat? He was fantastic!

South gate manor is the definition of elegance and professionalism. From the second we first walked in, immediately we knew it was going to be the perfect place to celebrate our special day. And on the big day, Chris and the entire staff delivered everything we hoped for and more! This place is top notch everything.
We were blown away with the service, food and professionalism. Our guests could not stop complimenting them and are still talking about it.

The food is perfect, so many choices for cocktail hour. The Venetian hour was truly amazing, our guests kept saying they've never seen anything thing like it before, from the choices to creativity and presentation.
This place is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. A perfect back drop for pictures. We took all of our professional photos there.

We also chose the house florist, M2 Floral and Event Design, you cannot go wrong, Stephanie and Marlene were so genuine and went above and beyond to make the centerpieces and flowers spectacular.

Chris and staff were always willing to accommodate us on each and every one of our requests. One of the many great things about South Gate was Chris making sure we were being taken care of throughout the night, whether it being sitting down to eat or taking time to really enjoy the moment.

Each and every staff member is dedicated to making your day special. You cannot go wrong in choosing them for their services. South gate Truly made our day the Best Day Ever. I would recommend South Gate Manor to everyone, they are a family oriented business and really know what it takes to put together an event that is most memorable for years to come.

There are not enough words to describe the gratitude we have for Chris, Matt and the entire staff at South Gate Manor. We visited countless venues throughout the year and a half leading up to our wedding and the moment we met with Chris, there was an overwhelming feeling that we were in the right place. It's a family business and that is exactly how they treat you, like family. From the unbelievable food, to the staff service that is probably rivaled by none, we could not have had a better experience anywhere! We were treated like royalty and the venue was our palace. Chris and Matt are experts at what they do and their guidance was not only insightful, but when it came together, it was something we could have only dreamt about. South Gate Manor actually deserves a 10/5! In my opinion the staff at South Gate Manor is top notch! Super responsive, accommodating and friendly, I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with to make my wedding dreams come true. Chris and company are awesome, and Jennifer rocked her job as a bridal attendant. Bobby was pretty fantastic himself...who knew a man could fix a bustle? The food is also delicious and the spread is fantastic...we had everything from sliders to lobsters, pasta any which way you wanted, tripe, and Asian station and let's not forget to mention a Viennese hour that is hands down one of the best in the biz! My only regret is not eating more or taking more stuff "to-go." I wish I could do it all over again...in a heartbeat! In fact, I want to encourage any engaged family members or friends I know to have their wedding at the venue so I can relive it all over again! Man, oh man, I wish I could go back to that day and press repeat!

The South Gate Manor was the most beautiful place with the most professional people owning and working there! One of the most difficult expectations to live up to typically seems to entail a couple’s wedding day. We had often heard just expect a couple speed bumps and to not let anything faze you to the point that it overtakes the night. They couldn’t be more wrong. We just wanted to thank Southgate for the unbelievable service, the surreal atmosphere and just a flat out perfect day. The staff was friendly, observant and responsive to all of our guests needs and the Maiter D’ Robert went above and beyond all expectations throughout the course of the night to make sure we were well taken care of. At one point it felt like we had a Presidential escort and to take the time to evoke that type of feeling speaks volumes with regards to the character of Southgate and its employees and owners. Chris and Matthew were both personally present and made sure everything ran smoothly and even had some fresh quesadillas brought out when they heard we missed out on that station during cocktail hour. We chose Southgate because we knew of their reputation – we will recommend Southgate to anyone and everyone that asks because we experienced first hand all the aspects that lead to the facility having that great reputation. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this day unforgettable and hope we get to visit again soon as guests so we can really take advantage of that cocktail hour!!

We wanted to have our wedding at South Gate Manor ever since we went to a wedding there about 2 years ago! We immediately fell in love with the place. How could you not? It's beautiful! The Marinos are wonderful to work with and they were so accommodating to all our requests and needs. They truly worked with us to make our day spectacular...and that was just before the wedding! At the wedding, I was blown away even more so with how professional everyone was. Bobby and our Bridal Attendant were AMAZING! They helped us step by step with where we had to be...they made sure we truly enjoyed every second of our wedding...they laughed with us and helped us calm our nerves...They were truly the best! I don't think I would've stayed as calm without them there! Thank You South Gate Manor for truly making all of our dreams come true! I hope to get invited to a wedding there in the near future:-)!

My children had their reception there, there are no words to express how wonderful it was. Everything was beyond our expectations. The room was magnificent the service incredible, every member of the staff was wonderful and extremely attentive to our family and guests. I would recommend this venue to everyone I know and anyone who reads this, the food was wonderful from the cocktail hour to the deserts. We couldn't have asked for more. I truly could not have asked for a better wedding and south gate plays a large role in that statement. First of all, the grounds are beautiful and constantly maintained. The place is immaculate and smells clean the second you enter, even when a party is not going on. The staff is AMAZING. Matthew, primarily dealt with me and my husband. He treated us like we were a part of his extended family. The staff is extremely professional and returns phone calls/emails promptly if you reach out, which when you're getting married really puts you at ease. Something I love about SGM is that they can arrange all of your needs, photography, music, & flowers are among the list of services they provide. Stephanie handled our flowers cake, and decor. her and I instantly clicked and I felt completely like everything was taken care of and in good hands that on my wedding day everyone was asking how I was so calm. The flowers were gorgeous, the room looked beautiful down to the smallest detail. Now, for the big day. We got there and Jennifer and Bobby introduced themselves as the bridal attendant and maître d. My bustle had broke and Jennifer got down on her hands and knees to help me, which made me feel terrible, but. For her to fix something as big as that was a life saver. Your wedding you never eat right? Wrong. We opted for the mozzarella addition and since I said I was excited about it, Jennifer made sure numerous times to come find us in the cocktail hour so we could have a taste of the goodness. Before our entrance she and Bobby prepped us for what was going to happen when we entered. Bobby took care of my parents all night, no one needed a thing and if they did he or Jennifer were right there with the solution. The food does NOT taste like banquet food. It tastes just like what your grandma cooked on Sundays. My guests raved about SGM, and we can't wait to attend another function here. Service top notch, facility, food, experience - unforgettable.

Wonderful experience with special credit to Bobby and Diana! Matthew was a pleasure to work with during the planning part, but boy did Bobby and Diana make our wedding day so special. I did not have to worry about ANYTHING, from drinks, to make up, to mints, tissues, advil and going to the bathroom they had me covered! They truly made our experience a fantastic one! The food delicious, hot and plentiful! Our guests were wow'd by the dessert and our ceremony went off without a hitch outside! It was gorgeous! So happy we chose South Gate. Definitely a little pricy for the location, BUT 110% worth EVERY penny!! We can't wait to be guests at a wedding there!!

John and I had our wedding at the South Gate on 5/31/14 and it was beyond what we could have ever imagined! From the time we stepped foot into the building, until the final good nights, we felt like superstars! Bobby and Jennifer were amazing and so helpful! They set up a wonderful spead upstairs for us and the bridal party to enjoy while we were taking pictures and waiting for the cocktail hour to start! They also helped usher us through all of our photos we took on property! Cocktail hour was like a dream....so much delicious food! Every guest was raving about it all while enjoying the nice weather outside on the patio area. The reception was beautiful and the food and desserts just as delicious as we would have imagined! We have guests calling our wedding "Epic" and "Extravagant". All of that would not have been possible without Matthew who was there with us since we signed the contract in 2012, his brother Chris who was there to help as well, Bobby and Jennifer. Thanks to you all we had the wedding of a lifetime!!

I went to this place prior to being engaged and my husband back then told me this is where we are going to get married. After we got engaged we came straight to south gate manor and booked them. They are such pleasant people to work with and the service is impeccable. Bobby and the bridal attendant were amazing and the party went so smoothly. The food was amazing between the cocktail hour and Venetian. People say they don't eat at their own wedding but my husband and I made it a point to eat every course. I love this place!!!

I had my wedding at south gate last Saturday and it was everything I dreamed of and more. The food was exceptional. It started to rain for the ceremony so I loved Chris idea to have the ceremony still outside in the front. I have to say the best part of my experience with south gate was bobby who went above and beyond for myself and my now husband. He is such a wonderful person and kept me calm and cool the entire time. He was always there to provide me with anything I needed. What a wonderful member of your staff you have in him. The team at South Gate did an amazing job. They really did not leave a single detail out. Chris made sure that we would have all of our needs met that day by being very specific with his questions. The staff was very helpful to us. If cards went missing, they found them. They were also very flexible, allowing us an additional 10 minutes for cocktail hour so that our bridal party may enjoy it - as we arrived later than expected due to pictures at an alternate location. They made sure our guests had an incredible experience. People are still coming up to us to this day remarking how amazing the food and venue was! They were also thoroughly impressed with the drink selection and energy the team provided. They also packed up all our things at the end of the time and held it for us until the other day to be picked up to ensure their safety there. Thank you so much for an amazing night! We cannot WAIT to be guests at an event there to enjoy more of the food! Suggestion, ask for a to-go container to be able to sample the cocktail hour food and desserts if you don't get the opportunity to eat much from all the running around you will do as a bride/groom that night between guests, the dance floor, and pictures :)

Our wedding at South Gate was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were treated unbeliebably great. Bob, the Maitre D and Jennifer the Bridal Attandant were marvelous, as were all of the staff. The cocktail hour was amazing as was the dinner, with 5 different choices for the main course, all of which were beautifully prepared and presented. The evening was topped off by the Venetialn Hour, which is a MUST. Our guests are still calling from a week ago to marvel at the Cocktal Hour and the Venetian Hour. South Gate is a wonderful place to have a traditional wedding. We cannot recommend South Gate highly enough. You will not be disappointed. Last but not least, Chris Marino is a terrific host who assisted us from the moment we first walked into South Gate until we walked out after the party.

I cannot express—at least in words—the joy I experienced on my wedding day. But perhaps it could most simply be defined by the wide smile I so continuously wore, thanks in large part to South Gate Manor.

The hall and staff were seamlessly stunning. The presentation: brilliant. The service: impeccable. Chris, Bobby, and Jennifer were the utmost professional: sincere and attentive.

My wife and I could not have possibly wanted more. It was, in short, perfect. The remark from all of our guests that night was that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I could not agree more.

From the moment we booked South Gate Manor (two years ago) we knew that we had made the right decision for our daughter and her fiance` . Chris Marino made us extremely comfortable at each meeting, assuring us that all would go well. The coordination of the evening was stress free , thanks to his expertise!
Our guest have not stopped calling and talking about the wedding, referring to it as the "best wedding ever"! From the moment we had arrived at SGM, Bobby the maitre`d took care of every detail and throughout the evening, made sure everything went smoothly. Our bridal attendant Jennifer was amazing, she made sure the bridal couple did nothing but enjoy the evening.
Great service began with champagne as guest arrived and the phenomenal service continued throughout. The cocktail hour not only had an incredible selection of foods, but also was presented and served exquisitely. As for the Venetian Hour, it was out of this world. Too many fantastic desserts to mention, as well as top shelf liquors and a great coffee bar. We highly recommend South Gate Manor and hopefully someone will invite us to their wedding so we can enjoy the experience once again!

We got married on 9/27/13 and had the best experience anyone can ask for! Everyone was very professional and attentive. They made us feel like we were the most important event they were hosting. Our Mat're D was our best friend that night. Everything was phenomenal. The best part they made us feel like King and Queen for the night. We couldn't have had a better wedding :) if I had the chance to do it all over again I would and I wouldn't have changed a thing! We also used Marleen and Stephanie for our flowers, center pieces, and favors! Everything was beautiful. A real family environment .

South Gate Manor was absolutely amazing. The staff from the moment we walked in were attentive and professional. Our Maitre d' Bobby was sincere and a pleasure to be around. He made sure every detail was taken care of. He truly made our night enjoyable. Diana our bridal attendant made our wedding party feel like royalty. South Gate manor made sure we were all having a good time. The entire staff was exceptional. The food was delicious and the Venetian hour was insane. Our guests were overwhelmed with the spread South Gate Manor provided, no one went home hungry. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. South Gate Manor exceeded our expectations and made our wedding day absolutely unforgettable!

I don't even know where to begin with South Gate Manor! From the moment we stepped out of our limo, Bobby and Diana (our maitre d's for the evening) were incredibly attentive and accomodating. If the building itself doesn't blow you away with it's amazing cocktail room (which would be a banquet hall in most other venues) or the beautiful marble floors throughout the building then their over the top service will! All night our guests were blown away with the speediness of their orders and hospitality from their servers. We have been to weddings were it was the opposite and it ruined everyone's night, but not here! Chris and Matt were there helping us plan our night to perfection and making sure everything was just right! In the words of one of our guests, "That was the closest we'll ever get to a celebrity wedding!" If you don't book at the South Gate Manor, you're just settling for less that spectacular!

My husband and I were thrilled with South Gate Manor. We had attended my brothers wedding there 3 years ago and when we got engaged it was a no brainer where to book! The service, the quality of the food, the decor and atmosphere- all top notch! Every single guest commented on the beauty of SGM and how DELICIOUS the food was! Local guests were even asking if South Gate Manor was open for dinner because they wanted to go back! Chris was fantastic to work with and made all the stress of planning a wedding super easy! We loved SGM and would recommend it to everyone! Thank you so much for making our wedding day absolutely perfect and stress free!

Our daughter had the best wedding I could have imagined! Matthew was great to work with and he was always open to our ideas. The ceremony space was beautiful, the cocktail hour and five dinner choices were out of this world! Top shelf liquor along with fantastic desserts and coffee bar! We loved every moment!

Excellent!!!! Everyone had an amazing time at our wedding. Matthew and the rest of the family was able to answer all of my questions and made me feel like I was a valued bride. We got ready at 9 AM at the venue. My makeup girl and hair girls were able to access the venue at 8:45 so they were ready to go by 9:15. Breakfast was provided. As we got ready and then throughout the remainder of the day our assistants were amazing. Our ceremony was beautiful and everything was well organized. All of my vendors had a great experience at SGM. The cocktail hour was amazing and they had seats for everyone!! Guests were able to go outside if they would like and had access to top shelf alcohol. The reception was perfect, beautiful, and amazing!!! I can't wait to go to a wedding as a guest so I can enjoy SGM in a different way. : )

Oh my God! I don't even know where to start! We just had our wedding here June 29, 2013 and it was MORE then what I expected! From the day we booked with Matthew, South Gate handled everythingg. They were on top of everything and anything. The food was amazing! We had a cock tail reception, which I would recommend if you aren't having a HUGE number of guests because the action stations take up some space as it is a large room (we had a little over 200).
We worked with Chris and Matthew leading up to the wedding and they put everything together, seating chart, food, timing, set up, details.
When we arrived to my reception in the limo Bobby and Jennifer the matrades were on point! They were absolutely amazing and I cant say enough great things about them. Jennifer actully made a bussel for my dress because i didn't have one. Also, I mentioned that I love french fries and during the reception they brought me my own plate of fries.
All the guests are still talking about the wedding and how great all the staff was. I cant thank South Gate Manor and Bobby and Jennifer enough for making our wedding as amazing as it was! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a wedding that everyone will remember.

Chris, Matt, and Larry as well as all of the staff, were wonderful to work with! They are true professionals and help put your mind at ease. We had both our ceremony and reception held at South Gate Manor and it was absolutely perfect! All of our guests raved about their servers, as well as the food. I highly recommend the dessert hour...soooo amazing!

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE! My husband and I recently had our reception at the South Gate Manor on November 30, 2012 after our original date of November 3rd was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. Matthew and Chris made sure I had their cell numbers to stay in touch, as well as personally speaking with all my vendors to help coordinate the new wedding date. Once I stepped into the lobby of the South Gate, I began to cry - it was so beautifully decorated, I was taken back. We also used Jen and Marlene from the South Gate for our centerpieces and bridal bouquets - they were phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty! Bobby, our maitre d', along with Jennifer and Jaime, were there all evening to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed before we asked for it! Bobby and the rest of the staff had every detail coordinated and planned for the entire evening to make sure everyone had a fantastic evening. The Cocktail Hour was beyond impressive -the room was full of different stations to choose from -Chinese being put into cute containers, a raw bar set up on ice sculptures, Italian meats and cheeses with fresh bread, and who could forget Sal, he was hand making fresh mozzarella cheese in front of our guests! Our dinner was a choice of 5 meals and we were given all 5! And then came the part that made our guests gasp -The South Gate's Venetian Hour! Guests were escorted into dessert heaven consisting of fresh baked cookies, cakes, and pies as well as breakfast sandwiches, crepes, freshly made doughnuts, zeppolis, deep fried Oreos and Twinkies, an ice cream sundae bar, milkshakes, etc. I can go on for days! I am hard to please and not easily impressed, but The South Gate Manor gave us the day of our dreams! At the end, as we said our goodbyes to our "new friends" at the South Gate, Bobby and Matthew turned around and handed us a bottle of champagne - they told us it "was a pleasure hosting our wedding" and in turn, we could not thank them enough!

My husband Kyle and I held our ceremony and reception at South Gate Manor on Sunday November 18th (original date was November 3rd, but had to postpone due to Hurricane Sandy). I don't know where to begin to express just how wonderful every aspect of the planning process was. The Marinos were very accommodating and very easy to work with. The day of the wedding, our maitre'd Bobby, and bridal attendant Jennifer were absolutely amazing. They paid attention to every detail and made sure every moment was perfect. Jennifer and Bobby went above and beyond the call of duty, by fixing a broken bustle, a broken corsage and even holding my veil during pictures. I cannot thank them enough!! All of our guests have raved about the food. Just when they thought there was no more to come.... another tray of dessert was brought into the room. Aside from the amazing service, staff and food, the decor and ambiance of South Gate Manor is incomparable to any other location within central and southern NJ. Two words to describe SGM- SIMPLY AMAZING!
