Jim, the owner of Sounds of Music DJ’s made my son and DIL’s wedding so much FUN! Jim was a part of their story, and how they met. They loved to go to Chevy’s and listen to Jim when he would play there on the weekends. They requested Jim, and were so excited to have him at their wedding. Everything went perfectly. The timing, the special dances, and I have never been to a wedding where the dance floor was packed the whole night. The WHOLE night! And their group is a handful (shirts off, getting on the stage, special requests) but Jim let them have fun and never slowed the momentum of the night. And the final song with the bride and groom dancing to their “first dance” song with all their friends around them arm in arm swaying and singing was magical! He made every moment personal with kind words at dinner and fun catch phrases from Chevys, he made the kids feel so special. Thanks to Jim, It was the best night ever!! -

We hired Sounds of Music for our June wedding ceremony and reception. Jim Lieber & Jill were very responsive and great to work with before the wedding. We were also so excited that we got Aaron as our DJ because he had just done my friend’s wedding a couple years prior! Aaron went through everything with us the week before and was very friendly and willing to cater to our wants. We had him do a roast of our bridal party as their entrances and he did an awesome job with that! He was very professional and stuck to what I wanted even though the best man tried to convince him to play a different song for the entrance song and he reported directly to me when anything “interesting” was requested. The music was on point for dancing & he did a great job! -

We hired Sounds of Music for our wedding last month and they were amazing! DJ Leo was so wonderful and very attentive. He reached out a few days before the wedding to make sure everything was set for the big day and made it super easy! Day of, he was very sweet and made sure we were all set. He gave us regular updates during the wedding to make sure we got to do everything we had talked about.
I communicated with Jim and Jill as well and they were super easy to get a hold of. I appreciate everything they did for our wedding and would 100% recommend them for your special events! -

Sounds of Music was perfect for us and our day! DJ Aaron was wonderful to work, he kept us on track without being pushy and catered the music to the wants of our guests! We were able to be up dancing the entire night because DJ Aaron saw what was working for us and played more like it, while keeping a great variety for others. He was easy to get ahold of and really took the time to figure out what we wanted the day to be like. Even before the wedding, Jim Lieber and Jill were easy to contact and were very responsive with any of my questions or concerns. Such a wonderful company and I highly recommend getting them for your wedding or event! -

Sarah Sent on 06/18/2013Our requests were somewhat unusual- we requested mostly current Christian rock- and the DJ was very flexible, finding and playing everything we requested (even the unusual acoustic versions.) He kept the reception flowing smoothly, played appropriate music for the mood, and "went with the flow" when spontaneous things happened. This company has over 30 years of experience, and it certainly shows. We were very pleased. -

Aaron was our DJ and he was fantastic. Sounds of Music was very accommodating with requests and just a fun vendor! Aaron kept the hits coming all night long and was very charismatic! Highly recommend! -

Becca Sent on 10/25/2011They were very nice but they pronounced our last name wrong and one of the grooms mens name wrong when introduced into the reception. Quite a few of our tops songs we wanted played didn't get played. They were perfect for the ceremony, though. And everyone else seemed to have a blast at the reception. -

Kayla Sent on 09/30/2011I had a few problems with this company, first it was hard to get a call back from them and you ALWAYS had to leave a message you could never get ahold of someone right when you called. My next issue that I had was I emailed the owner the names of all the people in my wedding party the night before and he even emailed me back to let me know that he received them. Well when we showed up to the reception hall right before the entrance I had to give the DJ all the names again and he kept miss spelling them, when I would corrected him he told me it didn't matter he was only saying them once! Well apparently that was the problem that he was only going to say them once because he messed up half of our names. The worst part of it all was my Husbands brothers were all his groomsmen with the same last name and he got those right, except when we made our entrance he mess up OUR name! Even after it was brought to his attention he NEVER corrected it nor did he apologize to us! Last but not least they don't seem to pay attention to the "Must Play" list because we had ONE song which was never played and didn't he didn't seem to care about our requests! -

Unfortunately a lot went wrong. Bridal party was announced incorrectly, the songs requested were not played (some were), the DJ was not the one promised (I requested a younger more hip DJ for my daughters wedding). Also, things were added to the list that were not approved by the person paying. I would not use them again. I have more weddings to plan, so I will look elsewhere.
