DJ George was the life of the party!
Sounds in Motion was an AMAZING vendor! They came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! DJ George was our DJ and he truly was the life of the party. George did such a great job of reading the crowd and keeping the party going. My favorite part was that he would call people over from the bar area to get them dancing; it was amazing. George was so fun and easy to work with from the beginning of the planning to the end of our wedding night. 15/10 stars :) -

So much fun
We hired Sounds in Motion for our June 2020 wedding which we postponed until June 2021. We paid extra to have George be our DJ and it was 100% worth the money! He was a personable and entertaining MC and just an overall fun person to have at our wedding. He knew exactly what songs to play in an order which would accommodate different types of guests at our wedding. He had me (the bride) out on the dance floor for almost the entire time- he was THAT good at song selection! George was interactive with our guests and helped make our reception a total success. Highly recommend! -

Amazing Musical Services

Dj jason was awesome
We never thought our wedding would be so much fun and DJ Jason was a good reason why. Not to be whatever, but we went to a prior wedding this year and that DJ SUCKED. DJ Jason made all the difference. HIGHLY recommend DJ Jason. He might give DJ George a run for his money 😅. -

Best wedding dj
We had sounds in motion DJ and provide a photobooth for our wedding of about 200 people. They did an excellent job in communicating with us before the event and provided excellent service the day of. Our first meeting with George went off great, he was able to help us make a rough timeline of the entire day and was able to develop a playlist for the evening based off some of our recommendations. George knows his music and envisions the night as one big celebration. They recommended that we book a photobooth as well, and it turned out to be a hit. More on that to come. Although George did not DJ the wedding himself, his staff is well trained. They followed the timeline to a T and helped the reception run as smoothly as possible. The lighting and volume fit perfectly with the size of the room. When it came time to dance, the DJ knew exactly how to read the crowd and it was probably the best mix of songs we have heard at a reception. There was a little something for everyone and everyone was dancing. We told George from our first meeting that we trust what his company can do, and it paid off. Sounds in Motion knows how to make a party boogie.
The photobooth was also awesome. The props were fun, the attendant was quick, and the photo strips had bigger photos that were more clear. The strips of three make the photos so much more special because you can see them without having to squint. The photobooth did not take up much space, which was helpful with our tight floor plan.
Would highly recommend Sounds in Motion for any event, especially a wedding! Totally worth the price!

They were awesome!!
Very easy to work with. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a dj that would be able to mix different culture music together, but I was wrong. All I hade to do was send them a list, and they worked their magic. My wedding was perfect. DJ, George, kept the guests entertained, and out on the dance floor. I highly recommend them. -

DJ George did our wedding this September and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a small area designated as the dance floor, but his energy and music selections had the entire room filled with people dancing until midnight. He played a great mix of music to accommodate parents and friends. He was also our MC and did an amazing job. He was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend booking sounds in motions for your special day! -

Sound In Motion was the DJ company we used for our wedding and we loved them. They were early, professional and reasonably priced. They even helped us with editing our first dance song.
They were referred to us and I can understand why. -

If I could give more then 5 stars I totally would! We hired DJ George for our wedding last month in June. Let me just say, George is AMAZING!! He's super outgoing, professional, detail oriented, and very versatile and knows his music very well. Our wedding was multi cultural (Mexicans and Americans) and he knew the music to play to keep ALL of our guests on the dance floor including myself and my husband ( who isn't much of a dancer I might add) I was a little nervous in the beginning just having a DJ play at our wedding & not having a live band but George made up for it and so much more! He is literally the best and so very worth it! From the beginning when you have your initial appointment with him to the very end of your wedding night! We got sooooo many compliments about how great our DJ & music was from all our guests young and old! My husband and I could not have been more happy with him! Thank you so very much!!!! -

What can I say? I work with a lot of wedding DJ'S and they all start to sound and look the same. I had never met George until our recent wedding together at Lake Tahoe. He was amazing! What a fresh take on a wedding dj. He had the crowd engaged the entire night and made my job as a coordinator super easy! His ability to keep the crowd moving and dancing was fun to watch. I found myself enjoying the music and the reception even more because of his fun approach! I'd highly recommend DJ George!

This company is phenomenal! I've been to many weddings where George was the DJ so I knew when my wedding came along I HAD to have George for our wedding. DJ George met with us and he spent hours with us fine tuning all of the details, time line, and song choices. We also had a great time chatting and laughing. Three hours flew by. After we left the meeting my husband said, “Wow, you’re right a great DJ is really important to make the day run smoothly”. Knowing DJ George was the DJ for our wedding and I absolutely had no worries and I knew it would run smoothly. It was like I had a DJ and an event planner all in one. The day of our wedding went completely smooth! DJ George was so fun, entertaining, and really got the crowd going. We partied all night long! We got so many compliments about our DJ! DJ George walks around and talks to the crowd he does not just stay in one place. The music was perfect and exactly what we and our guests love. I could text George anytime with any questions I had and he responded immediately. Also, anytime I called Sounds in Motion Malia would answer and she is so extremely sweet and professional. I never even had to leave a voice message because Malia always answered the phone. You will not regret booking with Sounds in Motion and you will stress WAY less having them as your vendor. There is literally nothing to worry about with Sounds in Motion as your DJ. This company is highly organized, dependable, and professional. Those are the three major qualities you want in a vendor. I highly recommend this company! -

We LOVED having Sounds In Motion DJ our wedding! DJ George is the best and made us feel so special and taken care of throughout the whole process. I love sounds in motion! I have been working with them for many years now and they always are amazing! When I got engaged, I booked sounds in motion right away with no hesitation. George, the owner, is so personalable and great to work with. He wants to make sure he gets every detail right. They have a great team of DJs and they will ask you what kind of DJ you want at your wedding and will recommend specific DJs of theirs that fit your criteria. They definitely know how to create a party! -

It's true when they say the D.J. makes or breaks the wedding. Thankfully we had George from Sounds In Motion there for our big day! George met with me and my hubby before the big day and outlined all the important parts.
It made everything go so smooth and our day was perfect!! Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night!! George and his Sounds In Motions team is truly amazing! -

LOVE LOVE LOVED OUR DJ!! He helped conduct our wedding and events within it from ceremony, cocktail hour, garder and bouquet toss. We met with the owner and they helped us create the fun vibe we wanted for our wedding, helped pick out the perfect songs and when the day was Here everything was perfect! Everyone said they loved the DJ!

I was leary of having booked Sounds of Motion through my vendor package because having a DJ that understand me personally was important to the flow of our evening. With that said, the DJ we had did an excellent job of making sure the music selection was both fun and appropriate. I would definitely suggest them to other brides. -

10/10 for real. I only wanted 2 things at my wedding: to marry my best friend and to have a crazy dance party with everyone I love in one place. Since we didn't serve alcohol, I knew the second part might not have come as easy. But these guys KILLED it. He was exciting and encouraging to the crowd without being pushy, got all the songs and names right (every other wedding I've been to had always had it's hiccups with this), and the guy LOVED my dad and kept him coming out to dance (big bonus from the bride!) -

DJ GEORGE is seriously the best in the business! He had so much energy and excitement the entire night and was very easy going the entire day/night. My photographer, wedding coordinator and cater were all very pleased with working with him. He was able to coming to a new venue that we had not been to before and we had zero problems. Not only was he very popular with the younger crowed but the older crowed at the wedding enjoyed him as well. Hope I attend more weddings her DJ's soon. They are an absolute party with him! -

Our wedding was on 01/02/2016 and it was an absolute BLAST! Our DJ kept the music coming and people dancing the entire time. Music was exactly what we asked for, and they were able to accommodate our guests' desires as well. When contacting Sounds in Motion, Noelani and George were always quick to respond; our one-on-one meeting with George was thorough and he is extremely enthusiastic. I would book them again in a heartbeat to help throw a party...a few weeks have passed and family is still talking about what a good time it was! Thanks Sounds in Motion!
PS. I also work for a local school district and Sounds in Motion does our school dances. They are fabulous with all ages! -

George & staff were great to work with. He goes into great detail in making sure you choose the perfect music for your event. He is very funny yet professional. The packages that he creates with Platinum Photo Booth are great. Our DJ was DJ Jerry and he was great. Highly recommend him especially if you need a great Spanish speaking MC. -

Sounds in motion is THE DJ to go with for your special occasion! I used Sounds in Motion for my wedding. Not only were they an amazing DJ, but I felt like I had a wedding planner included in the package. They sit down with you and go over EVERY detail to make sure your special day is perfect! DJ George is amazing and always contacted me to make sure my wedding planning was going okay, even though he wasn't even going to be there day of. Amazing boss!
DJ Cody was freaking awesome!!! He knew what kind of music we wanted played without us even asking! Accepted requests and was very interactive with our crowd. He felt our vibes and we received amazing entertainment. He even solved a lighting problem going on with my venue. I highly recommend him for your DJ. He was everything you wanted and more! DJ Cody, you're the man! You rock!!

DJ Jason was awesome! In so many ways the DJ can make or break a wedding, in this case he definitely helped make the wedding! Our daughter's wedding reception was so much fun! DJ Jason kept the crowd up and on the dance floor literally all night long!! We danced the night away to what seemed to be everyone's favorite songs. The Bride & Groom filled out the requested information before hand, I was a bit concerned that their choices may have been a bit limiting, but DJ Jason read the crowd perfectly! We booked Sounds in Motion for our wedding after checking reviews and attending other weddings that Sounds in Motion Dj-ed. After attending a meeting with DJ George to determine our music preferences and timeline of events he suggested we have DJ Jerry for our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about how great of a job he did! He was the perfect match for our wedding and played all the right jams to keep the dance floor filled. There are no words to express mine and my husbands gratitude for Sounds of motions. Especially Georege. This company isn't just another typical DJ. They're family and the first time I met George, that's how I felt. Like we were family. And we still are! George provided EVERYTHING we ever wanted for our wedding and our guests were amazed with him as well. He kept the crowd going, he would ask us questions if needed and the best part was when my father made a 30 minute speech which threw our whole schedule off! But I didn't panic cause I knew George would figure something out and he did. Overall, this DJ company is a family, and they'll be around for as long as you want them too!! George and Sounds In Motion will ensure that your big day is a huge success!!! He is professional, caring, knowledgeable, funny, fair and the hands down BEST DJ ever!!! Our friends and family went to a lot of weddings last year and most of them were attended by the same people, our wedding is the one that people are still talking about...that is because of George!!! We have people come up to us, who were not at the wedding, telling us what a great time they heard it was! As a bride, when you put that much time, effort and stress into planning a wedding, you want people to remember it as fondly as you do. Sounds In Motion will ensure that people are still talking about and saying that your wedding was the best that they have ever been too, even years after your wedding day. At our wedding the dance floor was packed and it stayed packed! George kept the party going, even my almost 90 year old Uncle stayed on the dance floor for a large part of the night!! You will never find a DJ who can keep everything running so smooth as George does. George was very interactive with the crowd, which was what we wanted. His MC skills are extraordinary, he kept smiles on the crowd’s faces and he kept everything rolling smoothly!!! He has a plethora of music, all genres, all decades; he even has different versions of the same songs! The man knows his music!!! If he does not know it, it probably never existed. He is also amazing at creating music for you. Our bridal party made its entrance to two songs spliced into one 7-10 second song. If you didn't know better, you would have thought the two songs were recorded together! He is the best!!!! Stop looking, you have found your DJ! I have been to 3 weddings led by owner DJ George, he is simply the best. Fun, warm, times everything perfectly, and is there to make your wedding truly special. But their business goes beyond just DJ services. This power couple, husband George and wife Erin, offer an array of ways to help and if they don't provide the service, they will setup you up with whoever is the best in town for your event. They provided my friend with a bilingual DJ, amazing music, flowers, tanning for the bridal party, photography, and references for everything else! If you want everyone to talk about your wedding- then you hire DJ George. In my opinion and lots of others...it's the only option of who you should hire. There has yet to be a wedding I've went to where they are DJIng that I've sat down while it's time to dance. No kidding- 5+ hours! And this is a girl who is over the treadmill in 45 mins haha. We booked Sounds in Motion for our wedding after they did our friends' wedding. We live near San Diego, so planning a wedding near Modesto was a challenge. We were able to Skype with George for our planning appointment. He was so helpful and everything came out exactly how we had discussed. Jason was our DJ and did an amazing job. Sounds In Motion is THE best DJ company in Central California, hands down the owner George helped plan our wedding down to every detail. We spent nearly two hours at their office going over music, talking about the flow of our reception, George even edited some of our songs to make them EXACTLY what we wanted! My husband and I carefully researched other companies and Sounds In Motion just stood out. We had DJ Jason for our event, George, our photographer, even our venue recommended him but I still wanted to be absolutely sure Jason would be the perfect match. DJ Jerry did an amazing job at our wedding. I am so thankful that he was there to help keep the flow of our entire day going. He really ran the show! Honestly, George Gonzalez, owner, doesn't need a review because his awesome reputation can't be matched in the industry. Music was very important to my husband and we wanted the best! We met with at least 5 other DJs prior to meeting with George and I knew right then and there he was the one. George, literally was the one we wanted. He is slightly more, but he is worth it.
We met with him again about a month or two prior to the wedding to discuss music choices and he gave us tons of suggestions (which is incredibly helpful, because me and my husband are incredibly indecisive). What is also really nice is when you meet with him at that meeting he really breaks it down into time segments that you can go off of on your day. I gave a copy to my photographer and videographer and it helped us keep pace to know what was next etc.
The day of the wedding DJ George's personality really won everyone over (he had already won us over!). He was there getting the crowd going and made us all let loose. We had suggested a certain song to end the reception and my grandpa was not done dancing, went up to George, requested a song and I am so grateful that George made the exception and played that one last song. Getting down to Boogie Wonderland on the dance floor with my grandfather and watching my grandparents "boogie down" is truly a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.
Thank you so much DJ George, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and having you are our wedding. You set the tone to what truly was the best night of my life. I have had so many compliments saying that this was the best wedding they have ever been to and I know that it has a lot to do with you!!

Great choice for any one getting married out in central valley California! Every interaction with Sounds in Motion was very professional. George (who owns the business) is great to work with and is a very friendly guy. His wife Erin is great too! She helped me find a hair stylists for my wedding as well because I'm not from the area and really didn't know where to look. Cody was our actual DJ and he did a great job. We has a live band play during our ceremony and he did a great job setting everything up and making sure the levels sounded good. He did a great job as the MC during our reception and played most the songs we requested during the open dance. We did have a lot we wanted to hear though and they didn't all get played, but everyone still seemed like they had a great time on the dance floor! I wish I could have danced more! -

Cody Farnworth, DJ from Sounds in Motion, was incredible! He provided us with the right atmosphere of music from hor'dourves, to bridal party entrance, through dinner, to dancing all the way up to the last dance! Our guests were a mixture of ages and he played music that everyone could dance to. He kept the energy going on the dance floor. Cody was personable, well groomed and very professional without being a cheesy DJ that wanted to hear himself on the microphone. I would recommend Sounds In Motion for any type of party, wedding or event. The office staff (and owner) was very helpful in planning and coordinating my daughter's wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience from Sounds in Motion and our DJ, Jason. The company came highly recommended from the coordinator at our venue yet still managed to exceed our expectations. Our dinner music consisted of folk and classic rock, and Jason was able to take our suggestions and build a playlist that meshed perfectly with our theme for the evening. When it came time for the dancing portion, Jason was no slouch and knew exactly how to take it to the next level. Even though we were behind schedule due to our long photography session, once we got to the reception we never felt rushed and Jason did an amazing job at keeping us on track and responding to our every need. I felt completely comfortable with him as an emcee and knowing he had things under control allowed my wife and I to relax a little and enjoy the party. To this day, our friends and family continue to say how much they enjoyed our wedding, the music and Jason. He was an amazing DJ, a pleasure to work with and an all-around class act. I have known DJ George for about 14 years now when he was first starting out and was our DJ at our school dances. He was the our DJ through middle and high school. When it was time for my wedding he was the only option - I booked my wedding date so he could be at my wedding. He had every guest on the dance floor. I have had everyone telling me it was the most fun wedding they have been to - I truly believe that is because of how awesome DJ George is.
Sounds in Motion is a wonderful company - they were easy to work with, worked with my schedule and responded in a timely manner. I really couldn't have had a better experience with them. If you book with this company you will not be disappointed! :)

Sounds and motion is the best to have at your wedding! We had our consultations done with George who is so amazing at what he does! He had referred us to get Cody as our dj and he was perfect! He made everything go so smooth and had everyone dancing! My best friend who is getting married is also getting Cody as her dj too! Dj's make the wedding! Sounds and motion are great at what they do! George was a valuable asset to have in any bridal party. Not only were his services provided the day of but they were also provided weeks and months in advance. The Sounds In Motion staff go above and beyond to make sure your event was the special day it was supposed to be. If you do not use Sounds In Motion for your big day you are doing yourself a huge disservice. With 10 full-time DJs it is easy to see why they are experts in the business; when you have that many full-timers it is clear that you are providing a great service! Sounds In Motion went above and beyond our expectations and we would HIGHLY recommend them to any bride and groom in the future. The only thing I wish was different in this survey was that I could give them more stars 10/10 easily! -

Sounds In Motion is an amazing company to work with. They have a huge networking circle where they can help you find vendors that they have worked with. They are more than just a DJ service they practically schedule out your whole day on a timeline for you and your party to follow. Sounds In Motion tries to make it so that you as a bride can sit back and enjoy your day and they take on the stressful parts of your day, I can say that they did this for me. They are extremely fun to work with and I would recommend this company to any of my friends and family. -

I live out of state and when I decided to get married in California I was very nervous. Sounds in motion was a referral from a family friend. Our wedding was a dry wedding ( no alcihol) and I was very nervous about our guests dancing and having a good time. Our DJ Cody was amazing he kept everything running smoothly and on time!! He was very up beat and listened to everything I had to say even last minuet things he was able to do for us :) George the owner was very friendly and patient with the long distance communication. I have to say if any of my family get married they will most definitely be used again!! Thank you sounds in motion for making my wedding a success and keeping my photo booth a surprise a very special touch for a special night :) -

We had the opportunity to work with George and Jason to make our wedding day amazing. George talked us through the entire event from ceremony background music to the last song on the dance floor. That process was priceless and we could not have prepared for it on our own.
Jason was our DJ for the ceremony and wedding. It was 106 degrees at our outdoor event, but Jason kept everyone on the dance floor. He played a variety of music, but stayed within the genres we requested.
Sounds in motion is the complete package. Working with them made my job as a bride so easy. I would highly recommend Sounds in Motion for any event. They are professional, detail oriented and the best around. -

Sounds in Motion is an awesome DJ service! Jason was the DJ that we had at our wedding and he was AMAZING!! He kept the party going the whole night and even got on the dance floor with us to get the crowd into it! He took song requests from our guests and was able to get everyone from our youngest to oldest guest on the dance floor at some point in the night! I would absolutely recommend Sounds in Motion and Jason as a MUST for your wedding or other event! I would never use any other DJ or DJ service! -

Sounds in Motion is the ONLY way to go when planning your wedding! They are amazing! We had DJ Jason as our DJ and he did an amazing job! He kept the crowd going and he was fun and on top of his game! He knew exactly what was going on and what needed to happen next, I didn’t have to worry about a thing! He knew all the right music to play to keep us on the dance floor! He was very in tune with our crowd. I couldn’t be happier! not only was our DJ amazing, the whole process was amazing, George is who you sit down with and pick out all your music, I was dreading that task, but George makes it FUN! We sat in there and he was so accommodating and was willing to take as long as we needed to choose the perfect songs, we had a blast! My cheeks hurt so much from laughing and talking the whole time. We used Sounds in Motion and their owner/operator DJ George Gonzalez as our DJ. Worth. Every. Penny. From the get go, he was funny, motivated, and interested in what we wanted. He made the process of picking our wedding music simple. He spent hours with us, going over every detail to make sure we were satisfied with our selection and helped us when we just didn't know what to pick. If for some odd reason he didn't already have a song we wanted (rare), he'd get it immediately. Most importantly, he was very good about making changes to our list as late as the week of the wedding. Flexibility was great. When it came down to the wedding, George was amazing. Everything flowed and he kept a great pace with our coordinator. His most important job, of course, was to get our wedding party moving and dancing, and he accomplished that with flying colors. As soon as we started dancing, he had a solid dance floor all night long until the last long played. We had a great mix of songs, from oldies to Spanish dance, to modern pop and hip hop. A month later, I'm still getting people telling me how much fun they had and how much they loved the DJ. Like I said, worth every penny. People generally don't remember what kind of table linens or other small details you put into the wedding, but they remember if they had a good time with a good DJ. We had a great time with a great DJ. Highly recommended. -

George was the DJ for our November wedding. Prior to the wedding, we met to choose entrance music, ideas for dinner and a "must" play list. As usual, he brought the party and kept the crowd dancing all night. He also does a great job as an emcee and is accommodating to any style/selection of music! We love DJ George :) -

I just want to say how amazing sounds in motion was for my wedding. From the planning to the actual wedding day was a blast. Me and my husband had George and he made us feel so special on our big day!! I heard SIM was great but that is truly an understatement they are FABULOUS!!! I live in San Diego, but got married in Northern California. It was stressful planning a wedding long distance. I was unable to go in and meet with vendors which was nerve racking. George at Sounds in Motion made every accommodation to assist me in my long distance planning including skype meetings. Cody was the DJ at my wedding and he was AMAZING. My venue was a little unique in that the dinner was served in a completely different area than where I wanted dancing and all of the activities. Cody moved throughout the events of the evening flawlessly and kept everyone involved. The dance floor was packed from the opening all the way to the last song. Everyone loved him. Even my caterer has contacted me since the wedding asking for his information because she was so impressed and wanted to refer other brides to him. If you are looking for a DJ Cody at Sounds in Motion is the way to go! -

I do not have the average central valley taste in music. I hate top 40, pop star, tween, r&b and crap rap! My husband & I love indie anything, electro, witch house, trance, classic rock, oldies, 80/90's and obscure music etc (you get the picture). I was seriously worried about the music I was about to ask Sounds in Motion to play at our Modesto wedding due to this. No worries tho George and his team got right on my ridiculously long song list and were super excited to get us the exact music we wanted for our wedding! They even mixed songs together for us on spot at our meeting! They are nice, helpful & very professional great package deals too!!!
Cody our DJ for the night was amazing! Besides the must play songs we worked out his picks for the entire night were spot on! Everyone kept saying how they loved the music selection.
Cody also had a few extras for us we didn't know about. He mixed in our vows from the ceremony into the final song of the night and even played us a song on his ukelele on our exit to the limo! Book Sounds in motion for your wedding you wont regret it! PS also book the platinum photobooth they offer as well! It is a total hit and fun memories to be kept as well! -

Jason was so great!!!! All of my guests have commented on how great the music was. The dance floor was full the whole time. We had the best time. He kept everything flowing. I would recomend you guys making a playlist of weddings for the brides to be able to purchase so we can always listen to the music that was played at our wedding. -

We all had a fantastic wedding weekend at Union Hill Inn in Sonora.
George (had to have him) was very organised, professional and attentive to all details towards our needs in planning and during the wedding reception.
George was very accommodating with on the spot readings of greetings and wedding wishes from our overseas families.
The music categories were chosen by Paul and Kacey. George did a fantastic job in blending the music for non stop dancing of three hours!

When we went in for the meeting to discus our music I was thrilled with the amount of time that the dj spent with us as we waivered through our decisions and when we weren't sure we took the paper work and sent it in only a few days before ! The dj ran our wedding perfectly... He worked with our photographers to make sure we got the pictures we wanted and everything ran very smoothly! -

Cody was amazing. We threw him a couple of curveballs that night and he handled them very well. He was not only a great DJ but a professional as well. He helped keep things moving along so that we didn't fall too far behind. The best part was when he made a makeshift acoustic guitar microphone so I could play a song at the end of the wedding. We will be recommending Sounds in Motion to our friends for their events. Well worth the money. I have made attempts to call and personally express our pleasure with Cody and Sounds in Motion but havn't made a good enough effort to get through. Thanks again. -

Did an awesome job with lighting and being reliable. I love how i got the song i wanted to play for the entrance instead of the pick my husband! Dj george was halarious with all his comments when ppl were on the dance floor and creating a fun atmosphere .. Way to go! -
