DJ Rick did an amazing job from the wedding music to the reception itself. When we selected him from the Knot he was super responsive, excellent pricing, provided lists of suggestions for a wide variety of songs from many genre's and decades. He is up do date on the popular songs for weddings to keep your reception dancing the night away. He helped us plan out the best course of action from beginning to end and was willing to make whatever we wanted work! He is very communicative and super fun!! Great Wedding DJ!
Rick from Sounds Great Entertainment was absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding! He truly hit everything we asked for throughout the entire night. Our guests had an amazing time on the dance floor, and we did too!
Rick was extremely thorough and made sure to ask questions about the requests we had made ahead of time so he could execute everything exactly how we envisioned it. His attention to detail really stood out and helped everything run smoothly.
You can tell Rick genuinely loves what he does. One detail that really meant a lot to us was that he even asked what our wedding colors were so he could match his vest to them—such a thoughtful touch!
He also provided the music for our ceremony and followed our instructions perfectly. From start to finish, everything went exactly as planned thanks to him.

Fantastic DJ
We loved working with Rick! He really knows what he’s doing and was one of the first vendors we booked. We didn’t speak to any other DJs after our first call with him, as we knew he was perfect for the job. He kept the dance floor going all night and was even able to find all of our requested song choices! Do not skip the uplighting. While our venue was beautiful on its own, the uplighting really enhanced it, especially during the reception.

DJ Rick Pegram did a fantastic job at my wedding! His preparation before hand left me at ease, and he never skipped a beat even when the schedule changed a bit. He kept the party going, just as I had asked and always knew what song to play, and when. His uplighting is a huge plus and really brought the room together and made our sweetheart table the center of attention. Overall very worth it for the competitive price of around $1,200

Rick with Sounds Great Entertainment is fantastic, and I highly recommend his DJ services! He was the DJ for our wedding, and the dance floor was crowded from the moment the dance floor opened until the reception ended. You can tell Rick is passionate about his work and wants to do a great job for his clients. Rick is also a very nice guy, great to work with, and quick to respond if you have any questions. He held a couple of calls with us prior to the wedding to go over all of the details and important songs for the night. He assured us that he had us covered for the whole night and this helped to calm our nerves before the big day. Great experience for our wedding
Rick did a great job DJing our wedding. The dance floor stayed PACKED all night. He did a great job making sure all of our must play songs were played and the rest of his music choices were perfect. Rick is beyond amazing and he has a true passion for the DJ industry. He is very professional and prompt with his replies, and is a pleasure to talk to on the phone when discussing DJ services. The Best Choice We Made!
We selected Rick of Sounds Great Entertainment to DJ our wedding, and WOW did he make our event perfect! Rick was extremely professional, gracious and prompt! On your wedding day, Rick made everything flow smooth for us and our guests. He keeps things moving and exciting. During planning, he was flexible and prompt with times for phone calls/emails and asked all the right questions. He catered to every need/request, and he made suggestions when we needed them. My guests loved him as our DJ and still talk about how great he was. We also asked for room up-lighting from Rick- TOTALLY WORTH IT! He transformed the room with beautiful lights in the colors of our choice. The lights really made our wedding reception fun and charming! If I ever need a DJ for future events, I will certainly be calling Rick. Advice for anyone hiring a DJ: you want someone like Rick- professional and experienced. My Wedding was Amazing!
Rick from Sounds Great Entertainment did our wedding on August 31 and was so professional.
He made sure to communicate with us about every single detail from the music to the
announcements. He went over pronunciations of names to make sure he would pronounce the names correctly, which he did.
When it came to dancing time, Rick did a great job keeping everyone up and dancing by playing
a mix of our requests along with him mixing in songs he knew would work. If you are looking for

Rick was absolutely fantastic!! We communicated with him via email until a few days prior to the wedding, when we had a phone meeting with him. We both knew within 15 seconds of that phone call, that we made a wonderful choice. He listened to our recommendations and made some of his own. He kept stressing that it was our day and he wanted to make sure we were happy. On the day of the wedding, he was there over 2 hours early preparing for the ceremony. After the ceremony, he kept everything running on time and smoothly, so that we had more time for dancing and the fun part of the reception. He warmly welcomed requests from our guests. We would highly recommend Rick for any party or reception. Our reception was perfect and Rick was a huge part of making it that way

We hired Rick based on the overwhelming number of great reviews, affordable price, and after speaking to him on the phone. He was professional and down to earth and felt like a great fit for us. We had several non-traditional aspects at our reception (games, songs, jokes etc) and he executed them perfectly! He spoke with us beforehand and went over all the details and during the wedding always checked with us before starting the next event. Not to mention, we knew every single song he played and the dance floor was THRIVING. He really understood our music taste based on the form we filled out, I couldn't have done it better myself. A literal god send
RICK WAS AN ABSOLUTE GOD SEND!!! Our original DJ cancelled on us 2 days before our wedding. In the haze and uncertainty of searching for a new DJ, we mercifully found DJ Rick - who was not just available, but also the BEST DJ we could have hoped to have! Speaking on the phone with DJ Rick with T-48 hours to go till the wedding put my mind at such ease. DJ Rick was so friendly, so easy to work with, so accommodating, and was able to put together the perfect playlist on such short notice. If I could give Rick at Sounds Great Entertainment more than five stars I would. He is so professional and honestly made the night of my wedding one that I will never forget! I don’t live in Florida but through emails and phone calls he helped plan the songs I wanted and helped make the night run smoothly (with timing of different speeches, cake cutting, dinner, first dances, etc. even when I made last minute changes to things.). He got everyone out on the dance floor and after the wedding all my guests told me how awesome he was. Thank you, Rick!!

DJ Rick was awesome! I didn't know what to suggest as I am so indecisive so I let him pick out a majority of the music. From the seating music to the last song, everything he played was spot-on and flowed masterfully. He also got a not-so-into-dancing crowd on their feet in no time. Rick was excellent! We were doing a 30 year vow-renewal ceremony as well as celebrating my husband's 60th birthday and Rick blended both parties together and everyone had a great time. He was well prepared, prepped us ahead of the ceremony / party, and did everything we requested with no issues.

Rick performed at our wedding 7/31/21. He helped us along, more than our own wedding coordinator. He did everything to a T and even kept us on track as the night went on. We hired DJ Rick with Sounds Great Entertainment for our wedding day. Rick provided us with a sound system for the ceremony that included the entrance music as well as music for the cocktail hour. During our reception Rick provided some great quality entertainment. He was able to read our guest and how they reacted to songs! He kept the party going all night long!

Rick really helped us out in a pinch. We needed a DJ for a 40th birthday party and didn't have a lot of time to find one. He stayed in constant contact, arrived in plenty of time and his price was on point. We let him choose the music with little direction, except that we wanted it lively, and he kept our guests on the dance floor all night. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an emcee/DJ. Very easy to work with.

We needed a DJ within 2 weeks of our wedding due to a cancelation and to say that Rick went beyond anything we could have dreamed of is putting it mildly. He had a FABULOUS mix of music based on things we told him we liked, he was so friendly with everyone even with the Covid issue, and he took charge of keeping all the activities going like the 1st dance, garter tossing, cake cutting, etc. I actually gave him more money than he quoted to me because of the incredible job he did. I think he is one of the ALL TIME BEST DJ's I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Do yourselves a favor and hire him over EVERYONE ELSE!!!!

Rick and his Sounds Great Entertainment did an amazing job at my daughter's wedding. They coordinated how she wanted the reception to flow and what types of music and specific songs she wanted. Rick was able to keep the party moving, play background music during cocktails, getting everyone's attention for the toasts and transitioning them to the buffet. DJ Rick did not disappoint! I did not realize how stressed I would be, as we planned and coordinated a great deal of the wedding ourselves, from 1000 miles away. Rick was so incredibly organized in planning, and did not miss a beat when things did not go exactly as planned. He made sure he knew all name pronunciations for the people in my party, he was involved, engaged, and had the perfect amount of enthusiasm. I felt like he was genuinely excited for each piece. We did have children at our wedding and he was so patient with them. He also protected my drink and my phone (I kept losing both!). He worked with my other vendors to make sure all were on the same page. Rick was well worth every penny spent--I have already reccomended him to couples we know, but I'd scream from the rooftops to couples we don't. BOOK HIM, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY! Thank you DJ Rick!

The perfect DJ
DJ Rick was by far the best ever! Not only was he kind but he was quick to respond and extremely helpful. He was able to help me with all the music selections, I ran into a snag with my father daughter song I couldn’t figure out which song to pick Rick knocked it out of the park and made the perfect choice for us. Rick saves the day when we had issues with decorations, and was able to add on awesome color lighting. My wife and I met DJ Rick Sounds Great Entertainment at the last bridal show we were attending at Honeymoon Island. Rick was DJ at the event as we were walking around talking to and checking out all the vendors. We thought we had it all figured out and then we met Rick and fell in love with him. We happened to win his uplighting as a door prize which had us talking to him again. I looked Rick up and saw nothing but amazing reviews and how he actually save someone's wedding who did not have a wedding planner and things were going kaotic and Rick saved the day. We hired Rick. Our December wedding was at Largo Central Park out on the partico with reception to follow in the Park View Room. Our venue and lighting was amazing and beautiful. Rick did a amazing job from hosting, lighting and DJing. His sound system sounded great. He played a wide range of music we chose and had everything thing we wanted to hear. The night was beautiful and flawless. It could not have gone any smoother. Rick is a great guy to work with very friendly, easy going and a real top notch professional very experienced high quality. He welcomed anything we wanted and any and all last minute switch ups we may have had. We highly recommend DJ Rick. You will not be disappointed. Our guest loved him, we had alot of guest from the development where we live and our development has already booked him for our New Years Party at our Clubhouse. He was proactive in establishing an itinerary for the event and always gave a 10 minute heads up to the newlyweds as to what was happening during the night. He also compiled a playlist weeks beforehand, via email with the bride and groom, so that the music that he played was what the crowd wanted. He wasn’t overbearing on the mic, very understandable when he spoke, and knew when to move things along. Overall, he did a fantastic job and his business name fits: Sounds Great!

The best DJ
Rick did a great job at our wedding, we really appreciated that he showed up early and set up his equipment and was ready to rock n roll. We hired Rick for our wedding on Honeymoon Island. We worked with him during the months that led up to the wedding, we sent a music list with instructions and we even had him cut a specific song to the length we needed. He was super responsive and he was able to choose a playlist of dinner music, cake cutting music and the initial guest arrival music. We had a 1920's themed wedding with a lot of music form that era in our choices and RICK was able to match the theme perfectly. He really had a good list of music that got the entire wedding party and all guests involved. Even during the wedding he was super responsive to making announcements to helping provide direction to what would work best when. I really liked his input to the songs we made and allowing all of our guests to make requests. Everything went smoothly, and Rick was a pleasure to work with and was super flexible.

I knew from my very first conversation with Rick that he was our guy! He was professional and he really listened to to our bride! Rick was the best!! He was incredibly helpful from start to finish! Rick sent us many suggestions for songs and planning forms prior to the wedding. He took the time to call me a few days before the wedding to make sure he had all the information he needed so that the day of would run smoothly. Rick played all our requests and many other songs that everyone loved! I received many comments on how great the DJ was. Rick was very professional and detail oriented and his services made our ceremony and reception flow smoothly!

Rick was AWESOME! He went over all the specific songs I picked and made sure everything was what I had wanted. He was easy to contact and quick to answer! On top of everything the day of the wedding! We made some minor changes the day of and he made the adjustments accordingly. I had a couple songs during the ceremony that needed to start partially through the song and he made sure he knew exactly what part of the song he needed to start at. Very respectful of the timeline you have for the day - we have a beach wedding and a storm was starting to roll in and he asked if I wanted to move certain events up in time to beat the rain, I said "it's not going to rain", and and accepted that and we stuck to the original plan. It did not rain and everything was fine! He was very friendly and was always trying to get everyone up and dancing! I would recommend him for every wedding!!

Rick, was the best Dj! He went over the sound list like a million times with me! We had a last minute change, when my mother wanted to make a speech, and he easily put her in the agenda! He did a great job with the flow and timing of the wedding! Music quality was great! And he even brought disco lights! Which was a surprise to us! He showed up early to make sure everything was set up before the guests arrived and dressed in professional clothing! All around a perfect dj for our perfect day!

Rick was a great DJ! We had many special request for our wedding that he accommodated and he even suggested a few things we had not thought of that turned out great! He picked up on the vibe we were going for for our wedding based on our discussions and made sure it was how we wanted. He did great at reading the crowd and knowing when to switch up songs to get people dancing. Rick was easy going and receptive to all of my requests. For example, we are not very traditional and chose not to follow a ceremony/reception schedule. I felt comfortable and confident in my decision during a conversation I had with him prior to the wedding - he said that he's been in this line of work for many years and has learned to be flexible and accommodating to whatever the bride/groom want because it's their day and also they have enough on their plates leading up the the wedding - the last thing they need to worry about is the DJ.! I gave him my vision of types of music, explained what we would be cutting out (bouquet/ garter belt toss among other things). He took careful note of everything we discussed and followed through on the day of the wedding! He was dressed appropriately, was great with the crowd and played great music. I would suggest telling him whether you're ok with guest requesting songs. I had a friend request a song that I love (and totally forgot to put on the request list prior to the wedding) and she said he was a bit hesitant to play it, but ultimately did (which I'm glad). It's not a bad thing -- he wanted to make sure the bride was happy! It's just advice for those of you who may not think to consider this detail. :-) In addition to providing music for the ceremony, cocktail our and reception, he also provided up-lighting for the reception. We rented a room at the Clearwater Beach Rec center so even though there are several windows and a gorgeous water view, the room was quite plain so the uplighting was well worth the expense!!! I requested pink but they ending up being a little more red. He did adjust them as best as he could. They still looked great and added a beautiful touch to the scenery, especially as the sun set. He remained professional and courteous at all times. I was very pleased with his services and highly recommend him!

Amazing DJ - Rick was great! He was flexible about changing the order of things around when I was nervous and not quite ready for our first dance and husband and wife. He knew exactly what I had in mind for music while eating dinner. Everything ran smoothly! Rick kept everyone entertained!
