Perfect DJ for Our Ceremony/Reception!

Ted with SoundProof Entertainment served as the DJ at our wedding (both ceremony and reception) and he was absolutely perfect! From the moment we selected SoundProof Entertainment as our DJ, Ted was extremely responsive and professional. The initial process of determining what equipment was needed for our big day was seamless, and the pricing was beyond fair for the quality of the service. The equipment was top grade for both the ceremony and reception. Ted arrived well ahead of when he needed to in order to have everything set up and ready to go, eliminating any stress on our end regarding our sound system and music. Ted did a phenomenal job keeping things moving on time throughout the night, made no mistakes introducing the wedding party, and was very good at communicating with us to make sure we were happy with how things were going. As it relates to dancing, Ted kept the entire dance floor full for the duration of the reception, and the song selection was perfect for both a young and older crowd. We absolutely loved working with Ted, and recommend him as the lead DJ at all weddings! Thank you for helping make our day perfect Ted!

Great evening

Ted led an awesome wedding. He played all the songs we requested and filled in the gaps with music he felt would hit based on his observations of the attendees. Everyone was up on their feet the entire evening once dinner ended.

Wedding reception

Ted was amazing to work with. He was very responsive whenever I reached out with a question. He worked great with my wedding planner. The music level was perfect during all parts of the wedding. He was quick with mucus selections when I made small last minute changes. He kept people on the dance floor all night. Would highly recommend!!

Amazing DJ for ceremony and reception - with photo booth

Ted was the first DJ we talked with in planning for our wedding and we immediately liked him. While we still talked to a few more DJs, we knew that we wanted to work with Ted and Soundproof Entertainment. He was so easy to work with and offered the advice that we needed. He walked us through the process of selecting our ceremony and reception songs and had every song that we requested for those special moments.
Everything - from the outdoor ceremony to the grand entrance to the toasts to the cake cutting to the first dance to getting our guests on the dance floor - ran seamlessly. Ted gave us updates as needed and worked with our officiant, photographer and venue to make sure everything ran well - and we didn’t need to coordinate anything. He made sure that everyone was ready for the entrances, toasts/speeches and dances.
The playlist was exactly what we envisioned and we loved dancing to all of the 90s and 2000s music! The photo booth was a huge hit and we loved getting the book with the proofs - and an email from Ted following the wedding with the digital proofs. It was fun sending those photos to our family and friends.
We are so happy we went with Ted and Soundproof Entertainment for our special day!

Very glad we went with SoundProof Entertainment for our wedding reception and can't recommend them enough! From the pre-wedding planning through the reception itself, the entire process was great and we wouldn't have changed anything. Ted did a great job of keeping us on schedule throughout the night while keeping the dance floor alive and well. A month on and everyone's still talking about how awesome the night was. Soundproof Entertainment and DJ Ted are the right choice!

DJ Ted was amazing help for my husband and I as we began our wedding planning process. He was the first DJ we spoke to, and helped us understand the process and what steps we needed to take, before we had even booked with him! He was so great with us, we never spoke with another DJ, and we booked with him after one phone call. I referred him to another friend of mine who was beginning the planning process, and she also booked with Soundproof. He helped us nail down our initial schedule (which is not as easy as it sounds) and the day of our wedding he was seamless between songs, and was very much on top of keeping us on track for the evening! He did an amazing job taking all of our requests into consideration and put together an absolutely perfect transition between entrances of the bridal party into the reception (we had seven sets of groomsmen and bridesmaids as well as parents entrances and our entrance as well, each had a different song. Ted did a phenomenal job of accommodating not only multiple songs, but also putting together a mix of all of these songs in advance so the bridal party could practice in advance!). I will happily recommend Soundproof Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ that not only can keep everyone dancing, but also help guide you through one of the most exciting days of your life! I couldn’t imagine a better DJ for the job. Thanks for everything Ted and Soundproof Entertainment, you truly made our day one for the history books!!

The perfect entertainment experience!

We heard about this Business from other friends who hired them for their wedding as well as friends who attended events that used them for their entertainment. Our photographer who has been to many functions, said “ Oh I love Soundproof!”. That alone had us happy about choosing them.
The company was great to communicate and coordinate with during the planning process, and phenomenal on our wedding day! Our guests even commented on how fun DJ Ivan made the evening, just the perfect energy for our day!
From the ceremony music, through cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, we couldn’t have been happier with Soundproof Entertainment.

Amazing dj!

I cant express enough how AMAZING our wedding music was, book now and forever happy you did. More than a dj!!! Ted karter kept us calm and kept everyone informed in my wedding party and us about what was coming
Up. We heard TONS of compliments about the music and the energy at our wedding. I would hands down choose Tex as our dj over and over again, I can not thank him enough, 5 stars are not enough for him, he knocked the music out of the park for our special day!!!

We found Soundproof through a random search on Theknot and it was the BEST decision we made! Ted was super accommodating in meeting with us since we were living out of state. Their client portal was comprehensive and easy to use, which made it one of the more exciting wedding prep things to do. DJ Brian was also awesome and had people on the dancefloor literally the entire night. Even with last minute additions, the night went smoothly thanks to Brian and Ted. Thanks for an amazing night!

Above and beyond service!

Ted was the DJ for our reception and he was absolutely amazing! The online planning system made things extremely easy, and Ted always quickly responded to any questions. I even had a last minute request for uplighting and he made it happen! He was incredibly professional, and really made the night flow perfectly! Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and everyone keeps saying that they had a “blast” at our reception! Seriously, hire soundproof entertainment- you won’t regret it!!!

Very pleased

My husband and I are so happy we decided to go with soundproof entertainment. The whole process was so smooth and Brian our Dj did so good helping me with planning. So patient with all my questions and when I needed to change a few things. He kept my guests entertained, the itinerary was amazing, super friendly and I couldn't do it without him. Best Wedding DJ Ever!

Ted did a fantastic job helping us get to our wedding day and then threw the best party ever! Admittedly we were not the best customers as we were very stressed and overwhelmed, but Ted was persistent and kind and helpful! He made it easy for us to communicate with him, gave us good recommendations, and when we told him the vibes we were going for he took it and ran! Our dance floor was packed all night with both the older and younger crowd! Everyone was telling us all night about how great the music was and how fun it was to dance. We cannot thank or recommend Ted enough for putting on a great party and capping off the perfect evening!

A night to remember

Ted was absolutely AMAZING! He really kept things hopping the entire night and we had numerous comments from our guests about how great the music was. The uplighting and projected monogram really helped set the mood and made a beautiful added touch. The Photo booth was a HUGE hit with our guests as evidenced by all the photos! Truly a wonderful evening! We couldn't have been happier with the night and highly recommend Ted and SoundProof Entertainment!

Best dj we have ever heard

Ted was amazing!! He was easy to get in contact with and always extremely helpful. You can tell that he knows exactly what he is doing. He was able to accomodate all requests and made sure to give us the personalized experience we wanted. We found Ted when attending a wedding a few years ago.. as soon as we left the wedding we decided that he would have to be our DJ too! His prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. I would definitely recommend Sound Proof Entertainment. People are still talking about how much fun our wedding was. We had a full dance floor the entire night!

Hire soundproof asap!

We hired Soundproof Entertainment as recommended by our venue. Let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint. Ted was our DJ and we utilized their Photo Booth services as well. Ted was great to work with. The site they use is easy to navigate and the 2 phone calls we had with him were quick, easy, and effective. He answered all our questions and reached out to us in a timely manner always. The songs we wanted played for our bridal dances, cake cutting, entrances, garter/bouquet toss, etc. were all available. We also picked 15 songs that we absolutely wanted played during our reception dancing and we heard every single one. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. I had so many people complement the music and how awesome the Photo Booth services was. I HIGHLY recommended Ted and SoundProof entertainment. They made our reception and fun and enjoyable time that we always dreamed about and we had many guests tell us our reception was the most enjoyable reception they have ever been at. Beyond expectation!

Brian from SoundProof was our DJ for our 12/18/21 wedding. He was amazing! We were pleased with the song choices which kept everyone on the dance floor!

Dance the night away

We had an awesome experience with Soundproof. Ted was extremely helpful and always responded immediately to our questions. He put together a Playlist that fit perfectly with our list of must play songs. I'm the night of our wedding, he checked in with us repeatedly to make sure things were how we wanted them. Very impressed by his professionalism and appreciated the fact that he customized our experience. We also had a blast with the photobooth and are so happy to have both print and digital copies!

Wonderful!!!

Great DJ service!!! Worked with Ted and John. We opted for their whole room uplighting package and couldn’t have been happier! They also did the sound and music for our outdoor ceremony. Could not have imagined a better company to work with. They were super attentive, professional, and reasonably priced. They played great music we wanted and the guests liked. The venue had lots of experience with them in the past as well and they came highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and hire them!

Best DJ Service Ever!!!

Soundproof entertainment did a PHENOMENAL job at our wedding in September 2018. This was the first and only DJ we met with and knew right away they would be the perfect fit, complete professionals in every way! We were able to customize our ceremony music (which John handled wonderfully) as well as our wedding playlist. I even had a playlist on Spotify with our dinner music that he used directly. We got our photobooth through Soundproof which everyone loved. We had so many compliments on our DJ, John, other engaged guests asked for his info! I can’t stress enough how amazing these guys are!

Great fun with DJ John!

John was a fantastic DJ! He kept guests entertained all night and the dance floor was never empty. He followed all of our suggestions to a tee and was easy to work with. He was very professional and we highly recommend them for any event.

My husband and I chose SoundPrroof Entertainment to be our DJ at our wedding and they were AWESOME! We had John as our DJ and he did such a great job that some of our guests thought he could be an announcer at the Cavs games! They were incredibly organized at our first meeting and showed us an example time line of the evening that they create and I knew that I wouldn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day...and I didn't! John was on top of it, and once the dancing started he knew exactly what to play to get our guests on the dance floor. I would highly recommend SoundProof Entertainment to DJ your wedding!

We loved John, he offers a great combo pack at a competitive price. He's very professional and did a great job with oir music. The DJ can really make or break a wedding, and John really made sure oir guest were entertained. He really took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. His online planning site makes it easy to select music and a playlist. I never realized how important and how much a DJ does for the wedding until we booked SoundProof Entertainment. We would highly recommend them to everyone!

John and his team were awesome! He made sure that the microphone and music was on point for the ceremony. He did an amazing job at making sure all the guests knew what was going on throughout the night. He and his team were very professional. Anyone who has been to a wedding reception knows that the DJ can either make or break the reception. John at Soundproof Entertainment ABSOLUTELY MADE the reception awesome. He kept the dance floor full even though there was a wide variety of age groups and demographics at the wedding. From the initial meeting, through numerous phone calls and changes to the agenda, Soundproof Entertainment proved that they are the best. Once you meet with John at Soundproof Entertainment you will understand why I gave him a 5 star rating. Being both retired Navy and the father of the bride, I pay close attention to all of the details. My daughter lives out of state and I ended up doing most of the research and planning for the wedding. The process was smooth and easy, even though I threw a few wrenches into the plan. I was very comfortable with John during the initial meeting, so we decided on what we wanted and signed a contract. (In addition to the music, we added several other options such as uplighting and a projector). The final meeting squared away all of the required information such as dance songs, wedding party intro, etc. There were many things that I did not even think about that John asked us. He pays attention to every detail and has done this enough to address all of the minute details that are involved in a reception.
During the set up of the wedding, John even hooked our computer up to the projector to show the slideshow on the wall. I had run out of time in the morning setup, so he took the initiative to make it happen, so I did not have to worry about it. John made sure that the reception ran smooth and everything happened at the right time. I highly recommend him to anyone considering a DJ for any event

Jon and his team at SoundProof were amazing. Everything was exactly where is was supposed to be at the exact time it was supposed to happen. Jon DJed our wedding personally and kept it moving, made sure we hit all of the important moments on time and kept the dance floor packed all night. He was great on incorporating the songs we all wanted to hear and infusing his own choices based on the mood of the crowd. Absolutely amazing experience and totally professional and fun to deal with.

Everything was awesome and John helped the event run smoothly. Soundproof was by far one of the best vendor selections we made for our wedding. The music kept people on the dance floor and John was great at keeping all of our moments organized and the way my husband and I wanted through the chaos of two very opinionated families. After meeting John and his wife at a bridal show I knew they had to be who we hired. They are both extremely friendly and welcoming. We used their up-lighting, photobooth, and DJ services for both the cocktail hour and the reception. Our wedding was at a newer venue and John had no problem getting in touch with the planner at our venue to get all the details he needed. Our cocktail hour was on the rooftop and John made a seamless transition from the rooftop to the floor we had our reception on. John was wonderful, he got everyone on the dance floor. Our guest are still talking about our wedding and how they have never been to a wedding were literally everyone was out of their seats dancing. His niece worked the photobooth and she was a delight, friendly and professional too.

When our venue (Avon Oaks Country Club) recommended SoundProof to DJ for our wedding, we set up a meeting right away. Our wedding was August 22, 2015. We met with John and right away, we knew we wanted him to be our DJ. John showed so much passion and knowledge for what he does. It was obvious that truly loves what he does. At SoundProof, he mentioned he had a number of other very qualified DJs working with him. However, after meeting John we knew we wanted him to be our DJ. He did say that there is always a meeting with the couple and their DJ before the event so I am sure that others were satisfied with with their events as well. After our meeting with John, we talked to our coordinator at Avon Oaks who has been working with John and SoundProof for a long time. We told her we preferred to have him at our event and quickly after he notified us to say he was available! The tools they provide are VERY easy to work with. We were able to make lists to include must plays, don't plays and play if there is time. It was also up to us to decide if we allow requests or not. We did but we also left the decision up to John when he received requests...he is the pro. John also was able to customize our first dance which was a combination of two songs. Another plus to working with SoundProof was we were able to add uplighting, which was a must for me. It was perfect and brought the whole room together. Before our big day, we met with John to go over the timeline. I am a very organized person so this was a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders. I knew that he would work with our coordinator to make the day go smooth and we had ZERO issues. We heard a lot of great feedback from our guests about our music and John's energy. It was a great party!! I also think it is important to mention that when I missed my favorite song, John was sure to play it again as soon as he saw how disappointed I was. I highly recommend SoundProof.

Ted was our DJ at our 10/10/15 wedding and was awesome! We have gotten, and continue to get so much positive feedback from our guests (all ages) and we can't agree more! He's kept the evening on schedule and kept the dance floor packed until the end of the very last song! He was a pleasure to work with and make the planning process a breeze, responded promptly to all of our email, and accommodated any request we had. Loved the song selection! John, Crystal, and Ted made the entire process easy and stress free and took all the time we needed to return calls, emails, and answer questions we had. We would most definitely recommend you to others in the future. We also booked lighting through SoundProof and it looked amazing!

We were extremely happy with the service from SoundProof Entertainment. When I emailed them for information on DJ services they responded in a timely manner. Once we sat down to discuss everything we knew that we were going with them to DJ our wedding. DJ Gene made sure to go over every detail with us about the wedding day at our meeting. Weeks before the wedding when we had last minute questions, or changes, he made sure we were all on the same page. Everyone had a blast with Gene and he definitely made us laugh.

John did such an amazing job as the DJ at our wedding. All the music played was perfect for the entire night! Their planning form made it easy to let them know exactly which songs we wanted played but for the most part we gave him creative control and he did not disappoint! Everyone talked about how the party went all night because of how great the music was! We definitely made the right choice for our music that night! Crystal who manned the photo booth did a great job too, and many people said what a great idea it was to have that! They made our reception so much fun! The prices were great and their planning was very easy!

Super easy work with, incredibly affordable and convenient to bundle. I loved that they bought any song I wanted that wasn't already in their database! We used their uplighting, photobooth, and DJ services for both the reception and the ceremony.

Ted from SoundProof kept our dance floor packed the entire night. He said he would "read" the audience and he definitely did. Our friends and family wouldn't stop raving about how much fun our wedding was. At the end of the night, the bartender who had worked hundreds of weddings told me he had never seen so many people on the dance floor for so long (literally until the lights came on). SoundProof also provided an awesome Photobooth for us. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a large photobooth with color and b/w prints. They also did our purple uplighting and it was gorgeous. I also wasn't sure that I had made the right decision with going with uplighting, but it transforms the venue. It was exactly what I had hoped. John is super responsive and Ted was amazing with my guests. They are genuine, reliable and a great company to use for your special day.

I was very happy with the photo booth and Crystals professionalism despite the large number of obnoxious loud kids, lol! Our wedding was on June 27, 2014. We found a DJ by searching the internet and looking at videos. We met with a DJ and were almost completely set with him and then we met John Schneider's wife at a bridal show. We decided after talking to her to meet with Soundproof Entertainment before making any DJ bookings. John, from Soundproof Entertainment, was both professional and very knowledgeable. He is such a nice guy and we felt very comfortable making Soundproof Entertainment our choice for DJ. We meet with John twice before our wedding, the first was an introduction and overview of his services. The 2nd was closer to the wedding and was to go over our timeline and expectations for the day of. John was polite, professional, and on time for all of our meetings. We were very pleased with the services he had to offer including the software that allowed us to manage our music preferences and communicate names of bridal party, who would be giving a toast, if we wanted a garter toss, or anything of that nature.

On the day of the wedding John showed up on time and had two sets of nice equipment for both the ceremony and reception. John has a great DJ voice and his equipment, including the microphone he used to mic up our officiate had great sound. Due to us overestimating how long the ceremony and pictures would take, there was a longer lag time between the ceremony and reception and we wanted to speed up our timeline to decrease the lag. John worked wonderfully with our other vendors to move up our timeline and keep everything flowering. John played all the music we wanted and some that was requested on the spot. He added in and changed songs with the vibe of the crowd. We had an awesome time at our wedding, it was surely a day to remember.

John and his team did a great job! The lighting was perfect, level of service awesome, and flexibility terrific! John had to go on a business trip right before our wedding but promised he would be back in time for the ceremony. He kept his promise and went right from the airport to out location to do the music for the ceremony. He also braved the storm as our wedding was outside and it rained quite a bit. As the father of the Bride I have to express how satisfied my wife and I are with SoundProof Entertainment. We are extremely satisfied with the services that SPE provided for our daughters wedding on Saturday, September, 28, 2013. The Up-Lighting was absolutely gorgeous and set the mood for the entire night. John did an outstanding job throughout the evening; from getting setup and organizing the introductions, early music selection, coordinating the dances and every detail of the evening. He was very professional and a great MC and we are Happy Happy. (As Phil Robertson would say(Duck Dynasty)). Also, the Photo Booth was a very big hit for the entire evening. Everyone at the reception truly enjoyed themselves with this activity.

From start to finish, John did an incredible job. We had several meetings before the wedding, and he was extremely well organized. On the day of the wedding, John provided us with uplighting and DJ services. We received SO many compliments on how great our DJ was! The dance floor was packed all night, and people said they had such a fun time--we owe it all to John and Soundproof entertainment. I highly recommend them! Not only did they do an amazing job playing music at the wedding, but they were also a pleasure to work with.

DJ Rick was very attentive and professional. He made our wedding reception fun for all of our guests! There never was a moment when guests were not dancing.

We received SO MANY compliments on our DJ's performance throughout the night. The uplighting created such a great atmosphere, the photobooth was a blast, and the dance floor was packed all night! John and Crystal helped with every step along the way. We highly recommend Soundproof Entertainment to any one!

I couldn't have been more satisfied with the dj, and that was a huge deal to me. Music at the wedding is one of the main things that people remember, and let me say, everyone remembered my dj. John and his wife were fantastic! I couldn't have asked for better service. I was able to come up with my playlist and then was even able add dedications and introductions for him to say before the song played which was like one of my favorite features, and it was all online, which was awesome too. The best part of the online thing was that I could be anywhere, and as long as I had a computer, I could log in and add a song to my playlist or my do not play list, depending on how I felt about the song. I will say, I was one picky and specific bride and this was one of the easiest, hassle free vendors I got to deal with, and that I couldn't appreciate more.

John you did an amazing job! Everything went perfectly. I couldnt have asked for anything better. Once katie and i arrived at avon oaks everything was taken care of. you took alot of pressure off of us. Katie and I thank you so much for taking care of business!

John and Rick did an amazing job. The ceremony was perfect and the reception was even better. Everybody danced all night long. I have received so many compliments on the DJ from my guests. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth. They even helped move chairs and tables to make the dance floor bigger. The up lights really made the venue look amazing. They matched the colors of my peacock themed wedding perfectly. I could not have asked for anything more.

Soundproofentertainment provided us not only with the Dj about also with extra lights that really made the place pop! besides me marrying my wife, it was the best part of the wedding!

This company did way over the top on meeting our expectations. Well dressed crew, flexible on price, exciting music and great personalities really go a long way and everyone enjoyed there services. We will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

John was great! He was very flexible. We had a few last minute changes and he accomodated us with ease. He kept us on time with everything and everyone commented on how much fun they had. I would highly recommend Soundproof and especially John to any couple planning their wedding.

What can I even say about SoundProof Entertainment? They ROCKED it! We were referred to John Schneider from a friend and upon metting with him, booked him immediately! We hired John and his wife, Crystal, as our ceremony music, reception DJ, photobooth and event lighting. If it weren't for John, my vision of the reception would not have been possible. They were fantastic to work with and everything was perfect! We were the first event of their new photobooth service and I had so many compliments on Crystal and her fun, but professional personality. John read our crowd perfectly and there was never a moment when there wasn't someone dancing. The lighting was unbelievable and, combined with John's talents to get the crowd going, everything was perfect! We already have recommended him to friends and he has been equally as awesome! Thank you SO MUCH John and Crystal!

John from Sound Proof Entertainment helped make our wedding so special! He got everyone on the dance floor, and we had over 300 guests! John knew how to run the night! Everything for our wedding went so smoothly because of John. He kept us on schedule and made sure we were able to fit all of our festivities into our reception. Being a bride who planned her own wedding, I appreciated that John was so organized. He created an agenda that mapped out the entire evening. He even practiced the pronunciation of the names of our wedding party to make sure he got it right! John kept us dancing the entire night, and I appreciate that he could read the crowd to play the best music possible! I highly recommend John from Sound Proof Entertainment.

We also got our up-lighting from John, and he helped make our wedding venue look awesome!

Fantastic reception + ceremony audio!

Ted is the DJ voice you're looking for! After our initial phone call with Ted we knew he was our guy. We loved his DJ voice and charisma. We had him handle the audio for our wedding ceremony (outdoors, on the patio of the venue) and then inside for the reception. Ted was patient and helpful in answering all our reception agenda questions, and he used our exact song for the first dance -- a bride's top priority. He had the dance floor having a blast, and my guests were impressed. I definitely recommend Ted and SoundProof Entertainment!

We worked with Soundproof and used their DJ services for ceremony, dinner, cocktail, and reception, lighting, and photo booth. Wow, are they so great! John was so great to work with, Rick the DJ was super professional, read my crowd well and kept everyone on the dance floor until 11:35, and Andrew was so cute with the photobooth. We had a bit of unconventional ceremony music (piano versions of music from video games) and Rick was like, as long as you can send me an MP3, I'm good!
I can't say enough good stuff about Soundproof. Super nice people, good value, and great service. Thank you John and team!!

Rick was our wedding dj and he did an awesome job getting people on the dance floor! He even let my brother in law play a song from his i-phone. We also had the photobooth at our reception and enjoyed all the photos and the scrapbook that was created. The combo of dj and photobooth is a great value compared to most other companies. We met with the owner and told him we had met with others and did not like that we were meeting with a boss and not the dj himself. He assured us he would be our dj, then when I inquired about meeting as the wedding approached (and and automated e-mail from the company suggested we do so) he told me it was "a bit early" (maybe adjust your auto-mailing then) and that he was not our dj Rick was. We were disappointed due to the fact that the owner lived so close and we were not traveling to meet with someone we hadn't yet met. Rick ended up being great however. The reason for the lower professionalism is we were missing the table our photobooth attendant had used so I emailed the company while on our honeymoon (free wi-fi not free international calls) upon our return home I had a voicemail from the owners wife stating there's no way he took our table he drives a small car and she was laughing. Generally if something is missing you ask the last person you saw it with. She also refused to give our sister the $50 discount (which we should have both received for recommending them, prior to our wedding) because she said my sister in law sent me your way and did not provide a specific name.
