We were very satisfied with hiring Sound Wave, they communicated very well and kept our event on track. We would hire them again and recommend them to our friends that are looking for a DJ for their own weddings. -

I've been to a few weddings and seen some bad DJ's (my sister's wedding being one of them), so when it came time to choose a DJ, I was very picky! I'm thrilled that we picked Sound Wave DJ's for our wedding, Preston specifically (who owns the company I believe). He was great at providing dinner/cocktail music that our guests mingled to and then he got the party going once it was time to dance and didn't let it stop! He was friendly and responsive throughout the entire process too. Highly recommend. -

A great DJ that knows how to keep the party going!! Preston made me feel confident every step of the way and really came thru the day of our wedding!! My sister has hired them for her wedding next year, really the best you can get (and I've seen a lot of DJs) -

We hired Sound Wave for our big day last summer and they had good communication right from the beginning. Preston was our DJ and he made it clear that he would be as involved or hands-off as we wanted him to be. He only suggest things that we asked him about (after making it clear he would be happy to help with anything leading up our wedding) and it was perfect!
He made sure everyone had a great time at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with how it went! Thanks again Preston and Sound Wave! 5 stars all around. -

My wife did most of the communicating with them, but she said they were always very responsive up until the wedding, and I can vouch that they did a great job during our wedding! The music was exactly the type we asked for and everyone kept saying how good our DJ was, even after the wedding. I've been to a lot of weddings, so I know a good (and bad) DJ when I see one. These guys are the best around, no question about it. -

These guys are the best! DJ Preston and his assistant djed our wedding over the summer and I'm late on writing this review, but they rocked the party! We emailed a ton leading up to it and they always responded right back. they kept picking all the right songs and everyone had a blast! their "dj booth" setup looked awesome and much better than the DJ at my sister's wedding that just brought a couple speakers. We plan to hire them again for all future events. Thanks! -

Me and my husband Jacob like to price shop things and services before buying, so we compared every DJ out there but wanted quality above all else. Preston with Sound Wave DJ was the best on it all!! His prices were not what I call cheap, but they are fair and more reasonable for what all he brought, including his knowledge which helped us plan things out for our big day better. Day-of, our friends had a great time!! He helped my dad slip in a secret song for me that really made my night even better too. Thanks Preston!! -

DJ Preston and his assistant recently DJed our wedding, and I had to write a review which I rarely do because they rocked it!! Our venue was kind of an odd layout, but Preston was able to keep our large families dancing through the last song (even tho we had to move tables to create a dance floor). I was a little nervous since my family is not big on dancing but once the booze were flowing and Preston kept dropping all the right music, they were out there too!! He was also great leading up to it and helped me plan some things out which I needed. Thanks Preston and your assistant (sorry didn't get her name:( )!! -

Phenomenal Wedding DJ
DJ Preston was an amazing dj for our wedding. He was the best value I could find in Portland and was available on short notice.
He was amazing. Did everything perfectly. Was flexible with changes throughout the wedding. He worked so well with my aunt who sang at our ceremony.
He played everything we wanted and had time for. Sound and timing was on point.
Great job!!
If it were not for DJ Preston and Abernethy Center our wedding would have never came together.
DJ Preston was amazing and needs more work so definitely will recommend him and his assistant (she coincidentally wore the same color dress as my bridesmaids) everything somehow, magically came together.

DJ Preston provided all of the dj services to me and my husband Roberts wedding last December (I know I'm late on writing this) and he did a phenomenal job! I contacted other DJ's before talking to Preston, and I was impressed with how friendly and straight forward he was with us. No sales pitch or any of that, just had a casual chat and he said to get back in touch if we felt he was the best choice. We did and are happy we chose him over the 6 other DJ's we interviewed!
To keep it short, he helped answer all of my questions leading up to the wedding day, and he rocked it at the actual wedding!! I'm not from the area originally, or I would recommend him to all of my friends getting married too! (they all live in Florida).
Anyway, choose dj Preston if you're getting married:) -

We decided to hire a DJ super last minute. Like I'm talking 2 weeks before the wedding last minute! DJ Preston was very professional, very clutch, and helped us feel prepared despite cramming months worth of playlist and timeline preparation into (barely) 2 weeks. When you're planning a wedding, you really want someone to hold your hand and help you feel CONFIDENT that your day will go smoothly. That is what DJ Preston did, even though the schedule didn't go 100% according to plan! His song choices were on point and he helped me pull off my surprise performance for my husband. Thank you, DJ Preston! -

Preston did an phenomenal job on me and Aiden's big day! He was great at communicating leading up to our wedding, always emailing me back within an hour or so, and during my big day, he was perfect! He played all of my requested songs, everything sounded and looked great, and he was very nice to all of my drunk family members:):) He also explained how to hold the microphones to everyone giving speeches, which I thought was nice. his assistant helped get us all in line to walk down the aisle since I didn't have a coordinator. You can tell they know what they are doing. Book him before someone else gets your date!! -

He did an amazing job!!
DJ Preston did an amazing job at my wedding! He was in constant contact leading up to it and put me at ease beacuse I was becoming pretty stressed out before that. I have recommended him to several friends and we are super happy we had him for our wedding! Thanks Preston -
