The Sound Society Band was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. It is actually hard to even describe the sheer talent, energy & fantastic vibes this group brought to our wedding. Every song was an absolute HIT - and our guests were up & dancing every second of the night. To add to the fun - Hannah was an absolute pleasure to work with in planning & the band members themselves were genuine and felt like a part of our family and party. Sound Society MADE our wedding!
From start to finish SSB blew us away - their sound was truly incredible, every single guest was raving about them during and after the wedding, and they had every guest young and old out on the dance floor the WHOLE night! Shoutout to Neil, Kola, Chauncey, and Elliott - they were AMAZING! -

Sound Society is an amazing wedding band! We used them both for strings during the ceremony and for our wedding band during our wedding reception. We’ve been to many weddings, all with great bands, and we were truly blown away by how good Sound Society was. Everyone had a blast and kept telling us how much they loved the band. They sounded amazing and each of the musicians and singers are extremely talented. Adam was also very easy to work with leading up to the wedding. He had us put together a playlist that the band used to create their setlist for the wedding reception. We’re so happy that we went with Sound Society, and we’d highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!Sound Society Band's reply:

We booked Sound Society for our wedding last month after seeing them perform at a wedding band showcase and WOW did they deliver!!!
We ended up booking Sound Society as a three piece string arrangement for our ceremony and as a 10-piece band for our reception with emcee duties and they hit it out of the park. Every part of the process was simple and organized-- Neil from their team helped us choose special songs for the ceremony, tailor our do-not-plays and must-plays for the evening, and plotted out speaking cues throughout the night.
A month later and we are still getting compliments about how alive our wedding band was! I spent two solid hours grooving on the dance floor and have no doubt you would do the same if you booked Sound Society.

So fun, so professional, so easy to work with and their music/vocals are incredible. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without them, they definitely kept the part going all night and our guests (even the non-dancers) on the dance floor. Sound Society played our wedding earlier this month and they were amazing! They nailed every aspect of the music from cocktail hour and processional music through the reception until the very last note, everything was great. They brought such a fantastic energy that kept our guests on the dance floor all night long. They played a great set list with range from wedding classics to more recent chart toppers. Hannah was so great to work with leading up to the wedding planning all the details.

We had such a blast at my wedding, but are not surprised at all! We knew from listening to Sound Society at the showcase for ten seconds that you were the band for us. From the horah to the second line, to our private last dance, Sound Society was flawless and kept the guests on the dance floor all night. Our guests are raving about the Buffalo Bill's version of the shout song; you were even able to get Stacie on the dance floor to sing and dance along to Stacey's Mom---that's no easy feat!Sound Society Band's reply:

When we first saw sound society in NYC at a wedding band demo, we were blown away and dancing in our seats for their full set! We knew we had to have them. Hannah was so easy to work with and made the process painless but also lots of fun to plan! SOOO many of our guests asked about our band, where we found them and told us how blown away they were. Elite Evening
Sound Society is a 10/10 !
Everything from the pre-planning to the last song on the night of was on point. Hannah made sure that our night was everything we wanted from the flow of the evening to the music requests. Highly recommend them if you want an elite dance floor!

There are almost no words to describe this group of talent! We saw Sound Society at one of their showcases, and were absolutely blown away. Hannah was an incredible point of contact - not only is she able to coordinate exactly what you’re looking for, but then she gets up on stage and kills it as well! There is so much talent in this band, that we gave them full reign to do what they do best - and they did not disappoint. And let’s not forget the sound team that accompanies them - every detail is covered by this team! We had a 10 piece band and they kept the energy up all night long, and read the room to change up the tempo as needed. The vocalists were incredible. The musicians were incredible. I'm Italian, and my now husband is Dominican, so creating the perfect party atmosphere to bring our cultures together for our New York City wedding was a huge undertaking! We knew we had to find a band that cultivated joy by playing a wide variety of music. With Sound Society we found just that! Hannah was incredible to work with, answering all of our questions (and we had a LOT of questions) along the way. I've literally never been to a wedding where the majority of guests get on the dance floor at the very start of the night, but this was certainly the case for us, and I have Sound Society to thank for that. Hannah coordinated with our other vendors, so we did not need to worry about a single thing the day of, and they were super flexible with any last minute changes. Wow! I have never been so impressed with a band in my life! They absolutely rocked our wedding! Adam was the coordinator and so easy to work with. The MC had a perfect voice for intros, etc and the band was insane! They let you pick the setlist and they polish it up from there! Everyone leaves your wedding talking about how great there were! -

Sound Society was THE highlight of our wedding! They were the first vendor we booked for our wedding, and they worked with us through a pandemic, 2 wedding venues, and 3 wedding dates! Hannah was the most amazing manager- she was always incredibly encouraging and accommodating (even as we worked through the pandemic), and I never had to worry about the music, because I knew it would be amazing- which it was! Sound Society has an incredible ability to read the room and play accordingly, all the while keeping the energy level sky high- our guests talked about them for WEEKS after the wedding! I cannot imagine having anyone else play at our wedding!! Thank you Hannah and Sound Society!! -

The Sound Society Band was amazing. They weren't only professional, kind, and respectful of different cultures, their music is also unmatched. They had the whole guest list on their feet for the entire night. My husband and I constantly say they were the best part of the reception and our guests agreed. They are unmatched. I had tears in my eyes thanking them at the end of the night. Hire them for your wedding-- you will beyond happy with your decision! -

I got married on May 29, 2021 (originally august 2020) and this band has been amazing through everything! I worked with Hannah and she has been amazing! She responds to emails promptly and so easy to reach by phone. She let me pick exactly which artists I wanted. She was flexible and accommodating. When the time finally came for my wedding, I still had the original band members I wanted and they absolutely killed it!! Guests were telling me that they were the best band they have heard! They played classics, Motown, throwbacks, today’s hits and learned all of our special dance songs. They offered 5 hours of music but my reception was only 4 hours so I used that extra hour for the ceremony and I used the keyboardist and she nailed all of the songs I wanted her to play. What was important during the research process was hearing a band live. They used to have showcases in the city with their sister band Silver Arrow Band. When they start up again, you will not be disappointed!!!
Hannah, Chauncey and Cola have amazing voices and I wish I could have another event so I can hear them perform again.Sound Society Band's reply:

This band has integrity!!! My daughter's wedding was postponed 3 times due to Covid. She finally had a small ceremony and plans to have a party in 2023. Sound Society gave us a partial refund and then booked the date in 2023 with the left over balance going towards this. I had prepaid the band 75% and they gave over a 3rd back and are honoring the rest when we have the party. This has been a difficult year and especially for live music but the were stellar to work with.
I have heard this band and they are wonderful. -

Outstanding!
WOW! Hire this band without hesitation and you will never regret it. They played for five hours at my son's wedding and the dancefloor was full at all times. Such talent, vibrancy and music everyone, young and old, enjoyed! They made the wedding even better than we all anticipated. Thank you Sound Society from the Morales-Smyth family! -

We hired Sound Society to play at our wedding at The Bowey Hotel and were so happy that we did! They did a phenomenal job playing during our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception! We were also very appreciative of how Liam and the whole team were flexible and understanding working with us on a tight timeline. Here were some of the highlights:
- They sound AMAZING! All the vocalists and musicians were so talented and made everything sound so good.
- Their repertoire contains a variety of different genres and so many songs. Everything we could think of they were able to already play or were willing to learn. They did the most incredible acoustic rendition of I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers for our first dance, which was so special and something we will remember forever.
- They did a great job reading the crowd and pivoting when needed. They kept everyone dancing and singing along for the whole night.
- Liam was very responsive and easy to work with. They utilize an online portal that helps keep the whole planning process organized.
We would not hesitate for a second to recommend Liam and Sound Society! Thanks for making our night so special! -

I went to a band showcase in NYC to see several bands that I had found on The Knot. The bands I was planning on hiring due to their price were fine. However, once Sound Society came on stage, I knew this was the band we needed at our wedding. While they were more expensive than what we had anticipated I can't stress enough that they are worth every penny. Liam was absolutely delightful to work with - he kept in touch the whole year leading up to the wedding and the portal they use is so, so helpful. The MC'ing that is included with the service is also great, Liam kept the night on schedule and was so respectful of the timeline we wanted and stuck to it! Our guests can't stop talking about how amazing the food was and how awesome our band was which is exactly what we wanted. We can't thank Sound Society enough for such a perfect wedding band experience! -

Liam and The Sound Society band were wonderful to work with from start to finish! Liam met with us in person once we booked them and assured us all of our requests and desires could be met. They were always responsive via email or phone and answered all questions and concerns in a timely manner. On the day of our wedding they were all very professional and organized. They played amazing music and got the crowd on their feet! I don’t think there was one person that did not dance out of all 200! We have had loads of guests ask us who our band was and to please pass their information along! A huge hit and I would highly recommend them! -

I can't recommend Sound Society enough!! We went to a showcase to see another band and we were only semi-impressed. They announced that a new band would be coming out after and, on a whim, we stuck around. The entire vibe of the room changed the minute they started performing. It became an instant party! Instead of taking notes on the band, I was dancing in my seat and singing along. We knew within seconds that they were the right fit! From that moment until our wedding day, the band worked with us on every last detail to make sure that it was all perfect. Liam was, by far, the best vendor we worked with throughout the process. He responded to every email in a timely fashion, made everything so easy, and made sure we were happy/confident with all of the decisions. Leading up to the wedding & day of, Liam handled everything and took so much off of our plate. He was an excellent MC throughout the evening!
Of course, the band was PHENOMENAL. They had every single person up and dancing for the entire 3 hours we had the dance floor open! They learned our special songs for us and performed them perfectly (including a very last minute request!). We had THE BEST time dancing the night away with no worry at all, and we owe it all to these guys! 10/10 would book again :) -

Sound Society was incredible from start to finish. From their NYC showcase, to the thoughtful planning sessions well in advance with Hannah, to accommodating our bespoke requests, everything was seamless and professional. On the night of our wedding in Upstate NY, they were phenomenal — high energy, unbelievable stamina with barely noticeable breaks, and top-tier musicianship and vocals.
