We cannot recommend Una highly enough for anyone seeking a wedding planner who is truly exceptional in every aspect. From the very beginning, Una demonstrated an unparalleled level of communication, always ensuring that every detail was addressed promptly and thoroughly. Her recommendations for vendors and those little touches that made our day unique were spot on and contributed immensely to the seamless flow of our wedding, all while ensuring we stayed within our budget without sacrificing quality or creating unnecessary strains related to planning.
Speaking of the day, Sound River Studios was an absolute dream come true. The venue was a magical space, providing the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The New York skyline was breathtaking and set the most stunning scene for our ceremony, especially on the terrace which was nothing short of spectacular. The entire staff, including the bartenders, Tijana, and Edo, were incredibly helpful and lovely. We were especially touched by Tijana's kindness, who went above and beyond by helping my mother-in-law neatly write her speech on the day of. This kind of support and generosity is truly appreciated.
Thanks to Una, the entire process, which can often feel overwhelming, was transformed into a delightful journey. She handled every challenge with grace and efficiency, making us feel supported and confident at every step. The result? An absolutely perfect day that surpassed all our expectations.
We’re so grateful for the role Una played in making our wedding dreams come true and look forward to keeping in touch. Thank you, Una and Sound River Studios, for everything!

We chose Sound River Studios initially because it fit within our budget and for the spectacular views. What ended up making our wedding perfect was Una, the vendors she recommended and the entire team at Sound River Studios. Una was very conscientious about fitting everything we wanted into our budget and creating a realistic timeline for the day. We felt little stress because we knew Una had everything handled. 10/10 recommend Sound River Studios for any event! -

We hosted my son's Mitzvah party at Sound River Studios and could not have had a better experience. The space itself is incredibly versatile; it transformed perfectly for our event and truly felt custom to us.
What really stood out was the communication and flexibility. Una was responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making everything run smoothly. She made the planning process easy and stress-free, which is priceless when you’re juggling a big celebration.
The night flowed beautifully, the energy was amazing, and the space delivered on every level. If you’re looking for a venue that’s modern and adaptable, Sound River Studios is a standout!

We had an incredible experience at Sound River Studios. The venue itself is one of the most unique in the city, with stunning views of the skyline and a layout that feels both expansive and intimate. Una and her entire team were fantastic from start to finish—always responsive, professional, and eager to help. Una was especially helpful in navigating our questions and unique requests with ease and clarity.
Edo made our drink selections a breeze, and the bartenders were friendly and efficient throughout the night. We also appreciated the extra guidance Una provided during our visits, helping us select the right vendors and giving us great advice on logistics.
For couples considering using the public pier, be sure to apply for a permit under Gordon Triangle (the pier itself isn't listed by name). Sound River’s website was also incredibly thorough—we found many of our initial questions were already answered there.
This venue is truly one-of-a-kind and gave us the perfect backdrop for our day. Highly recommend! -

the dreamiest venue in nyc!!!!
we are so happy we landed on SRS as our wedding venue and we'd choose it again every time. we were sold by the convenient location, huge and customizable space, outdoor area with stunning views of the city, flexible and communicative staff, and una, who proved to be the most efficient and supportive planner we could have imagined. with her guidance, the day came together like a dream. -

Sound River Studios is everything you see in the photos, and more. The space comes together so beautifully and is so customizable... I can't describe the feeling of walking into the space after our outdoor pier ceremony, and seeing all the hard work paid off - the tall ceilings and big windows allow for a dreamlike setting. No regrets!! Una is kind, responsive, and was super helpful with all the little questions that came up along the way. We were so beyond happy with everything, and our guests are still texting us about it 2 months later. BOOK IT! -

Many of our guests told us this was the classiest event they had ever been to - SRS is a beautiful space with gorgeous views. We loved that there were indoor and outdoor areas for our guests to enjoy, there was ample dining space, and a dance floor. The SRS team was really wonderful: Responsive, organized, friendly, helpful, flexible, creative, and made it a seamless event. We had THE BEST time there. 10/10, it couldn't have been better. -

Amazing venue and great hosts to work with. We held a 200 person wedding here and it was spectacular. The space really allows you to be creative and design the wedding that you want, its a blank canvas with NYC as your backdrop. What more can you ask for? Una and her team were amazing as well and worked hand in hand with our wedding planner to make our day flawless. We also rented out the Bridal Suite which was beautiful and HUGE. Highly recommend this if you are looking for something unique, timeless, and quintessentially New York. -

The most AMAZING venue for our Queens wedding
From the first time my husband and I visited SRS we absolutely loved the space. We are both born and raised in Queens and wanted to get married somewhere that really felt like the both of us and is a reflection of our love for Queens and for this city. Una is the venue coordinator and she is fantastic. This being a raw space venue, you need someone who knows the ins and outs of planning an event in this setting. She guided us the whole way throughout the process and was instrumental in coordinating all of our vendors on the day of our wedding. This space is perfect for someone who wants their wedding or event to be unique and tailored to you and your partners tastes. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing thanks to all of our vendors and the SRS staff. All of our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the space is and how much they loved the view. We would absolutely have our wedding reception here again and would recommend this space to anyone.

We got married in the fall at Sound River Studios and it was an amazing venue - it leaves so much opportunity for the couple to personalize and make it however they want and we really leaned into that! The staff was great. The views were amazing, and we could not be happier with how it all turned out. The public pier next to it is also a huge bonus! It was great to bring people from out of town who wanted to see the city skyline. Thank you :) -

My husband and I had a fantastic experience hosting our wedding at SRS and our ceremony and reception were even more enjoyable than we could have hoped for. SRS is an amazing venue because of both the physical space itself as well as its great management team led by Una.
In terms of the physical space, SRS is a really beautiful and “industrial-chic” warehouse-type building that has great natural light. It is essentially a blank slate in which a couple has lots of flexibility to make their unique vision come to life. The building has garage doors that open to an outdoor patio with spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline. It unfortunately rained on our wedding day, but the views still wowed our guests (even the native New Yorkers) and we could still make full use of the outdoor patio with a tent. We would highly recommend renting the bridal suite as well. It’s a great place to get ready and relax before the wedding.
SRS is a great place to host a wedding of any size, but particularly 150 to 200 people, a size that we noticed was difficult to find in NYC. We toured many venues that could either hold less than 150 guests or that were massively too large and were intended for 250 people or more.
Beyond the physical space, Una was so incredible to work with. She is extremely transparent about pricing, logistics and what to expect, which was not always our experience when meeting with other venue managers. Una is not just a faceless employee – our planning process was much more personal and Una took the time to get to know us as a couple and what we were hoping to accomplish. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes to answer all of our vendors’ questions and was present and very helpful on our wedding day, all of which ensured our event went smoothly. Weddings are stressful enough to plan, so it was so reassuring that we had Una in our corner.
The only vendor you must hire when booking SRS is for the bar/bartenders and they were wonderful to work with as well. They were super accommodating of our preferences and very professional.
In short, I would look no further than Sound River Studios to host your wedding (or any event really).Sound River Studios's reply:

This venue space was INCREDIBLE!!! You truly can't beat the view, the natural light and air that flows through and the private deck right on the water. I was very nervous with all the work and planning but Una was incredible and helped plan the ENTIRE way. I am so grateful for all her help and recommendations. She really listened to our vision and helped us create exactly that within our budget. Una was present the entire night and really helped the entire event flow and stay on track. We were thrilled with how our wedding came together at SRS -- the venue is beautiful and airy and the outdoor area was essential, especially in considering having a wedding during the pandemic. The view of the city is incredible and even wows New Yorkers on top of our friends and family from out of town.
Everyone at SRS was extremely helpful in facilitating our vision and have had a lot of experience in making beautiful weddings happen every week! We are very happy with our decision to have our wedding at SRS.Sound River Studios's reply:

Sound River Studios is a hidden gem. I cannot gush enough about this venue and neither could our guests! My husband and I had our wedding there on November 7, 2021 and could not be happier with the space and the staff! Trust me when I say, book Sound River Studios for your event.
To elaborate, SRS is privy to the most breathtaking view of Manhattan. You really feel like you are getting up close and personal with the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, and the skyline in general. Then, there is the venue itself. It is quite stunning with its all white industrial aesthetic and grand size. As you walk in, you are lured by the columns throughout and cannot help but gape at the incredibly high ceilings. It’s a blank slate waiting to be transformed but can also hold it’s own as a crisp beautiful hall. Sound River Studios really is the most versatile venue.
The main floor includes a long entrance hallway, bathrooms, and large kitchen space. The second floor has a spacious green room/bridal suite with a full bathroom and kitchenette. The windows in the suite overlook the front entrance; which are perfect for catching a sneak peek of your guests, or your significant other, as they arrive. We were thrilled to use this space for ease of keeping our things, hair & makeup, lunch, and not having to travel to the venue from our “getting ready spot”.
The SRS staff is way above par. Una, in particular, is the most passionate, the most caring, and the most professional. She does everything in her power to make sure your event goes off with out a hitch. She even goes the extra mile to make you feel like family. Una’s excitement for you is clear from the moment you meet her.
The venue also offers the option to use the LIC pier to extend your event (pending city permit approval). Luckily we were able to utilize the pier for our wedding ceremony, the outdoor venue space for the cocktail hour, and the hall for our reception. The weather was perfect for this, however, if the weather had turned, the venue provided the chance for easy backup options that were equally stunning to our original plan.
If you’re looking for an awesome vendors list, Sound River Studios’ recommended vendors list is top notch. We ended up contracting many vendors on their list. Our wedding was absolutely magical. Sound River Studios is definitely to thank for that. Book SRS! -

We had our wedding at Sound River Studios last month and it was truly a dream. The view is not to be believed! The space is humongous, and all my guests felt safe during this tumultuous time, which was really important to us. Una and the Sound River team are absolutely wonderful to work with. Sound River Studios (SRS) was the best option for my husband and I. You can't beat the New York City views! Steve from SRS was great to work with. We had our Indian pre-wedding party (aka our Sangeet) here and the venue had the perfect open layout for our dance floor, food stations and bars. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the venue after the wedding. We're so grateful to have found this space! -

Beautiful, blank space with great flexibility
You can't put a value on a view like Sound River Studios has. The outdoor space was the perfect size to have a cocktail hour, and the guests loved admiring the skyline. The space inside is big and blank, and the SRS team was incredibly flexible and helpful as we shaped it to the vision we wanted. -

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Sound River Studios on September 14, 2019. On our search, no other venue compared to what Sound River offered - beautiful high ceilings, simple architectural details, an outdoor area offering a view of NYC. Una and Steve were always an email or a phone call away and helped us with absolutely everything! We were nervous about the "DIY wedding" but they put it all to ease.
Our guests absolutely loved the space, the outdoor area, and how everything came together at Sound River Studios. We can't thank Una and Steve enough (and for becoming friends along the way) - we look now at all the pictures and videos and wish we could go back and do it again! :) -

Best day ever!
My husband and I had the best experience working with Sound River Studios for our July 2019 wedding. We worked very closely with Una who is extremely responsive, sweet, and helpful. It may seem intimidating being such a raw space but you can truly make it your own. Our intention wasn't to impress people but our guests were definitely very impressed! I would get married there again and again :) -

Stunning Wedding Venue
We had our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding at Sound River Studios in September of 2018 and it was the perfect venue for their wedding. The view of the city is beyond stunning. Our guests cannot stop talking about the space and the view - it was magical! I don’t know how I would have planned the event without Una’s assistance. I was planning the event from out-of-state and she was so helpful and made the whole stressful process more manageable and fun. My husband and I got married at Sound River Studios in October 2018. We were actually the first wedding to book the venue way back in July 2017, though a few others happened before ours. We were so thrilled with our experience, from start to finish. While we worked with both Una and Steve, Steve was our primary contact, and he was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of our questions, responded to all of our e-mails immediately, and was flexible in accommodating all of our needs. Everything on our wedding day came together beautifully. Our guests could not stop talking about the incredible view, and how much space there was to move around. One of the unique things about planning an event at Sound River Studios is it truly is a raw, beautiful blank slate, so you can really tailor it and make it your own. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue with character, class, and wow-factor. There is really no other venue in New York City quite like Sound River Studios. -
Francesca Sent on 10/28/2017We were so lucky to have our wedding celebration at this gorgeous, unique space. Two weeks later we are still hearing from our guests that the beauty of the huge, open loft and the majesty of the sunset over the Manhattan skyline made the event unforgettable.
The soaring ceilings and light-filled, industrial white warehouse space steal the show, so we were able to keep our decorations elegant, minimal and inexpensive. Una, the space's incredible event planner, suggested one long table down the middle of the space for our 75 or so guests. The simplicity of the table and elegant centerpieces that Una sourced designed made a huge visual statement.
I can't say enough about how helpful Una was. We planned our event on very short noticed and she was completely unfazed, able to design and coordinate all of the party essentials within a couple of weeks. She kept the event on track, setting up the tables and place settings, and thinking of small things that I never would have but that made the day special, like preparing for the champagne toast and reminding me to tell guests to take home the beautiful centerpieces. In the days leading up to the celebration she accommodated last-minute changes to the chair and table rental order when our guest number changed, Through it all she never seemed hurried or frazzled. Oona is someone you want helping you plan your event! -

We just got married at Sound River Studios one month ago and every day I wish we were doing it again! Una and Steve were incredibly helpful and always made themselves available when it was convenient for us. The space itself is a blank canvas which was definitely daunting for me, but we were able to create a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and reception while keeping things relatively simple. There is so much opportunity for creativity in a space like SRS! Our guests were so enthusiastic about how they loved the space and how it was so different than many of the weddings they've been to. We tented the outdoor area so that our guests could spend time there, and even though it was quite cold, many of them hung out taking in the view! My husband and I live in the neighborhood, so having our wedding at Sound River felt very "us", and like a way to share our life together with all of our guests (many from out of town). We just loved it! -

The staff involved, planning and also on the day-of, were absolutely incredible. As the possibilities are endless in this space (but our budget was not), I trusted the recommendations they made, and could not be happier about the result.
Our guests were totally blown away by this hidden gem. They especially commented (and still do) on the spectacular skyline backdrop, quality and variety of the food and overall atmosphere of the venue.
We are so lucky to have found this place and highly recommend Sound River Studios! -
