Leslie Sent on 01/05/2015I seriously cannot be more happy with this company and the DJ they sent out. I wasn't big on planning a lot of my wedding, but the one thing I did invest a lot of time in was picking songs that both my husband and I liked. The DJ played pretty much EVERY song I had on the list (and I had over 100) throughout the night and got every request absolutely perfect. I've been to weddings where the music is outdated or they just don't play what the bride and groom want, and I was really impressed with Sound Productions and how they went out of their way. They even had to download some obscure songs that I wanted, too.
Only complaint was the amount of feedback during the speeches. This was more the venue's fault (on a beach, had a generator) than anything else, however. -

Nikki Sent on 06/23/2008Sound Productions was awesome at our wedding! Our dance floor was packed the entire night. They played great music for EVERYONE. They really helped with the planning as well. They have all their bride and grooms complete an online time line for their event (which was really helpful for everything!). They also have online forms for music selection and information (i.e. names of parents, wedding party, etc.). The entire night flowed very nicely - there was never a dull moment. They even have a limo bus that you can rent for your event equipped with a bathroom, TVs, tables with cup holders, etc. We definitely took advantage of this for our wedding and booked their limo bus in addition to their DJ services. -

User981235 Sent on 10/19/2012We chose this company because a friend of mine used them for her wedding. we were not disappointed. It was so easy to set up our list of songs and events with these guys! They use the online planner and they also call to be sure what they have is correct. Although the planner is due before the wedding they are very flexible. Not only are they easy to work with the DJs are awesome! They are fun and friendly. Everyone had a great time and one of the uncles even paid them to play an hour longer! I absolutely recommend this company! -

User893838 Sent on 08/09/2012I loved my DJ!! He was fantastic and played a variety of music which is what I requested. Everything that I requested is what he did. He was funny and energetic as well. Also in preparing to find a DJ, Sound Productions always contacted me back within a day or less. It was fantastic and I could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. -

Our DJ was amazing, he even came to the head table to check to see if we needed anything...I thought he was part of the wait staff at first. We had a small wedding and he did an amazing job at keeping people on the dance floor all night long. Our guests are still complementing on how much fun they had. Way to go at making our wedding rock! -

We danced all night. they were very helpful they kept everything moving and on schedule, they even carried my plate to my table for me. I had a slight change in plans and they just went with it, it was great. -

Lahren Sent on 10/25/2012Overall our experience with Sound Productions was great. The only downfall was the fact that my name is hard to pronounce and the DJ did mess up my name a few times. Also, our music for the ceremony was a little messed up. Maybe we are just a laid back couple but none of it even bothered us. The music the DJ played during the reception kept the party going and there wasn't one person sitting down! Isn't that the point of a wedding reception! -

Kayla Sent on 11/06/2011In the beginning, they seemed very professional and respectful. Then the day of the wedding the DJ was highly inappropriate. He was hitting on my bridesmaids, bringing shots to the bridal party table without us knowing, trying to dance with some of my female guests, and he was very unorganized.
The worst part came after the wedding. We paid a SIGNIFICANT amount to have Sound Productions DJ our wedding reception and ceremony. The one thing about the reception that I was looking forward to the most was the Hidden Video Camera. When I had called the DJ back about three weeks after the wedding to collect the video, there was no response. So, we called and called. Finally got through to someone and he said he couldn't find our video. Said he would have the manager call us. When the manager called he told my husband that they either didn't video or they recorded over it at a different wedding. SO..... ALL THOSE MEMORIES.... ALL MY EXCITEMENT.... PRICELESS FOOTAGE... GONE!!! And we had to demand some money back. We only received $150 back. We paid them over $1000 for total services and my husband gave a very generous tip that evening.
So I TOTALLY DO NOT EVER RECOMMEND SOUND PRODUCTIONS FOR ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT! -

The DJ showed up like he just downloaded a playlist called
‘Wedding Vibes 2004’ and hit shuffle.
The microphone?
Sounded like it was powered by two AA batteries from 1997.
The projector screen looked ready for a corporate presentation titled:
‘How to Fix This Event.’
Lighting?
Let’s just say it was giving… haunted conference room chic. 👻
If enthusiasm were volume, we would’ve been fine.
Unfortunately, so would silence.
In conclusion:
If you’re planning a wedding, graduation, or meeting…
Bring backup speakers. And maybe a kazoo.” 🎺 -

Wedding ruined
We had sound productions entertainment booked for our wedding on October 15th. They called us on the Wednesday before the wedding to go over all the music we would like and the phone call went great!! We planned out the whole day. On our wedding day, the dj was supposed to be set up and ready to play music by 2:30 for our guests to be seated. At 3:30 the speaker for the music was finally set up. We began to walk down the aisle 30 minutes after we had planned and the music stopped. The microphone barely worked during the ceremony and kept cutting in and out and no song was played while we were walking back down then isle. Then during cocktail hour, the dj played our grand entrance song and claimed he did not have a list of the music we chose during the phone call meeting. We tried our best to go with the flow and not let it affect us and then around 9pm my husband and I became the dj at our own wedding due to the dj we hired going out to his van to do smoke something multiple times when we were informed that the dj will not be drinking, smoking, or eating during the Reception. Then at 10:15 he started to pack up his van when we had the service booked until 11pm and we were told that the last song would be played at 11pm. TO TOP IT OFF, most of the songs that were played were only played for a few seconds before they were switched to the next song, had SO MANY Verizon commercials, and the officiant had to do all the announcing for the grand entrance, speeches, and table dismissal for food even though the dj was supposed to do so! Sound productions also informed us that they didn’t have enough staff for all the weddings they had booked that weekend so they had to hire out from another DJ company. We hired SOUND PRODUCTIONS not another company and so when we were informed of that AFTER the wedding, we were not too pleased. That information should have been provided to us when we booked or during the phone call we had a few days before the wedding. NOT AFTER. AND their website states that they have 0 OUTSOURCING which is obviously not the case!! -
