From the first time I met Shannon, he was great. I had no worries about the music. We vibed from the get-go. He knew how to read the room, he helped with some song selections. He played some impromptu songs we threw at him that day. He was also helpful with honeymoon ideas! Go with him and you won't be disappointed.

Best Wedding Ever

DJ Shannon was incredible at our wedding. He kept the night moving smoothly and when the dancing started, nobody left the floor until the lights came on at the end of the night! He took into account our requested songs but also played to the mood of the crowd. Thank you DJ Shannon!

Fantastic DJ! Would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Shannon did an absolutely perfect job at our wedding. First of all, during the planning process, he responded quickly to any questions. Once we hired him, the planning forms were very straightforward and gave us the right amount of freedom to personalize our day without overwhelming us. He did the music for our wedding ceremony and reception, which went flawlessly. He made announcements to help the day run smoothly from one event to the next and was flexible when we got slightly off schedule. During the dancing, the playlist he created was perfect. He read the crowd and adjusted accordingly to keep everyone engaged. Overall, I would strongly recommend Shannon to anyone for his professionalism, flexibility, organization, and excellent skill as a DJ.

Shannon is THE BEST.

Shannon was so so so great. The music was ON POINT, the announcements were perfect, and he was soooo patient. Can't recommend him enough!!!! Also VERY affordable. Best in the biz!! If you're reading this - BOOK HIM.

We recently had Shannon do all of the audio for our ceremony and reception!! He was excellent and so easy to work with. His communication was very quick and responsive. He was easy to collaborate with on our special request and helped make our day go so smoothly. I would recommend a thousand times over having him for your wedding or event!

Wedding DJ - June 2022

We hired Shannon through a recommendation from a co-worker that used Sound Extremes Mobile DJ Service for her wedding. From the beginning Shannon was very responsive and very easy to work with. We had to change our date about a month into the 11-month planning process due to a venue mix-up and Shannon very easily accommodated our date change as he was luckily available on the new date.

What made us hire Shannon was the flexibility in timeline, affordability, and communication style. We had no prior personal experience with hiring a DJ and this was a very easy process!

Prior to the wedding Shannon provides a very easy form to fill out to clarify desires for the day-of, names, etc. We also had quick telephone call to review and talk over any questions either of us had the week of the wedding. The day of the wedding Shannon was awesome - he was set up with PLENTY of time to spare. Music was played at appropriate volumes throughout the night from pre-ceremony music, ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing. We utilized his services for our ceremony and used one of his wireless mics (not typical but worked better for our set-up) and everything worked great. We left most of the reception song playlist in his control and just wanted people to stay dancing and we had a very successful wedding night! Songs played kept people on the dance floor and there was a good mix of slow and fast songs.

Would definitely recommend Sound Extremes Mobile DJ Service for future weddings!

Can't Recommend Shannon Enough!!

Shannon did an absolute amazing job at my wife and I's wedding ceremony and reception in June, 2022! He's super accommodating and extremely good at what he does. He kept our friends and family out on the dance floor all night long and even took all their ridiculous song requests when they had them. Super fair priced and crazy fast setup and teardown just like he advertises. Seriously can't recommend booking him and his services enough! Everyone loved the glow sticks too!

The day before the event Shannon called just to make sure the paperwork I had sent was correct because it was very minimal.
I am glad he did because I had forgot something.

Perfect DJ for our wedding!

Shannon was the best DJ that we could have ever asked for! He was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft, and has so much experience that he is comfortable working at any venue. He was flexible with all of our requests, and even stayed a little extra for us! He had our friends and family on the dance floor all night long. We are forever grateful to Shannon for truly making our wedding the best night of our lives!

Awesome experience

Easy going, great to work with!

Shannon was so great!! As one can expect when planning a wedding, I was crazy busy and his paperwork was the one I accidentally let slip through the cracks. He messaged me about a week before and politely asked if I had a chance to finish it. He was easy going, sent me a new copy via email (I live in Oregon now and was traveling back to Iowa for the wedding) , and he really nailed it with how little of information I gave him. I wasn't going to have a DJ originally, but I am so glad I did and was so glad it was Shannon. My friend got married about 3 weeks later and her DJ.... was no Shannon. I cannot speak highly enough. Thank you again :)

Excellent! 10/10!!

So many GREAT things to say about Sound Extremes. Shannon did my wedding as well as my brothers, and both times I was truly blown away! For starters, he made quite the commute to my wedding (somewhere around 3 hours I think) Yes, I paid a little extra for that but it was next to nothing! Many other DJs had a travel fee along with wanting me to pay for their hotel as well. So if you ask me, the few extra bucks I paid for his travel fee was a score! Shannon is quick to respond to messages. My first inquiry email he replied to within a few hours, on a Saturday I might add! He spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me a few nights before the big day to discuss all of our wants and go over the paperwork I had prior filled out. He arrived to our wedding with ample time to set up and get ready. He did our ceremony music & reception music. Both were great. He played great songs that the crowd loved. Shannon socialized with my guests & wedding party, which was really something to me, he didn’t have to do that but he really went the extra mile! Shannon is friendly and so professional. I will always recommend him to anyone I know getting married or needing a DJ for a special event. He truly made our wedding more special!! Your search is over, you’ve found the best of the best here!

Awesome experience, no hassle!

Shannon was awesome to work with. He was very easy to communicate with via email, text or call. He sends a very detailed information packet to fill out with all the information you need and what he needs from you. There were no issues with any songs we wanted to play. The sound system he used was great for our venue, everyone could hear the music and when he was announcing. We had multiple people tell us at our wedding and afterwards that Shannon was great, friendly, and provided an entertaining reception!

Great DJ Service

Super friendly, very quick to respond to questions, very knowledgeable about music really read our crowd well. Bringing a separate sound system for the ceremony was great too so we didn't have any equipment moving in front of our guests as I saw at two other weddings this year. Thanks Shannon!

Simply The Best

Sound Extremes, featuring Shannon, did an outstanding job with every facet of my wedding experience! Shannon was extremely professional from start to finish on our big day. He listened to all our requests and made them realities in front of our crowd of 300+ family and friends. His musical selections spanned from the 1980s to today's current hits and he even allowed a member of the bridal party to play this guitar serenading the married couple.

Amazing! Best dj ever

We have gone to lots of weddings and the DJ's were not very good at all, until our one friends wedding we met Shannon who was the DJ. He was amazing best DJ I have heard around. Once we got engaged we decided to book him right away. Thankfully we got him. :) He answered all my questions anytime I bugged him. We talked a few nights before to go over last minute details. He honestly is so organized which I loved because it made my life so much easier. On the day of the wedding he came out as soon as the party got there. Talked to us all and had us get ready. He was on point with introductions of party and of course us. :) I love that he made sure are time schedule was going on point just by getting us were we needed to be. What I mean is cake cutting, prayer, food, first dances, etc... He will even stay as late as you want him to which was nice because our wedding reception lasted tell about midnight. I had multiple people after our wedding and still tell me how our DJ was amazing. He wont just sit there the whole time, he will walk around talk to people and ask them if they have any request which I loved, because everyone has there own taste in music and we were not picky. My husband and I still talk about how we could do it all over again because it was such a blast celebrating with everyone and we really enjoyed out DJ Shannon. :) If anyone is looking for a DJ, he does not disappoint at all. Worth the money. :)

Great, Responsive DJ

Shannon from Sound Extremes mobile DJ was our most responsive vendor. Any time I messaged him with a question, he would respond within minutes either letter me know the answer or when he could get back with me. During the reception, he played music, chatted with my husband and I, and really kept us to our timeline as an emcee. In one of the toasts, it was mentioned that my husband likes music from a certain band and Shannon surprised us by playing a song from that band after the speeches finished. He really did a great job keeping people dancing, and he listened to our play/don't play song requests! You can't go wrong with hiring Shannon!

We hired Shannon to DJ our wedding on October 24 and what an amazing night he helped us to create. During the entire process - from beginning our search to the cleaning up process, Shannon helped us and made sure we could completely enjoy our wedding event with no worries about the music and atmosphere. His professionalism is top notch and he makes himself fit right in to the event as well. We cannot say enough good things about Shannon and the experience he provided for us. Shannon did a wonderful job at my daughter's wedding reception! He was very quick to respond to the online booking as well as answering emails as the event got closer, in a very timely manner! I appreciate that having hired him, I didn't have to worry about anything further. He was at the venue and set up with music playing when our guests arrived. The music played was exactly what my daughter and son in law requested and he kept things moving without direction. I appreciated his personal interaction with myself and other family members throughout the evening as well. The cost was very reasonable and better than others I looked at online. I'm very happy to have hired him for the reception!!

I cannot say enough about Shannon Miller, and his ability to deliver outstanding entertainment throughout the whole wedding. I would stop searching for a DJ and give him a call right now to schedule. You won’t regret it as he is easy to work with, incredibly reliably and kind. We gave Shannon our “must-have” songs, and he worked out the rest delivering perfect song selection. Both family and friends couldn’t get off the dance floor, which was a worry going into the wedding, but now as we look back, we have Shannon to thank. Our family and guests really appreciate all that he did, and we couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you very much Shannon.

Shannon with Sound Extremes Mobile DJ was so great to work with for our wedding! He called back and met with us as soon as we were available. He was very responsive to all messages and had tips to help guide the day and pick "must-plays". His choices of songs (beyond our picks) were right on par with crowd favorites and our taste! Shannon was very professional and interacted with our guests when appropriate. He even brought little surprises for the kids! I found out later that he had gotten a bad injury the day before, but he was there on time and did not even tell us!! He said he has never cancelled a wedding or caused extra stress. That made us sooo thankful!! We also got our uplighting from him, and it was one of the most complimented items on our big day! It made the kids summer camp lodge into a beautiful ballroom! His prices were very reasonable, and the customer service we received made it a steal!! Thank you, Shannon! I would highly recommend Sound Extremes to anyone!

Mobile DJ was great and so flexible with our schedule, location and weather. It rained the day of our wedding and mobile DJ was there, on time, with music and all the fixings despite and outdoor rainy day. We had a blast dancing as well and he kept the mix exactly what the dance floor needed!

Shannon was great to work with and had great suggestions. His form he sends you outlining the program really helps give you direction. And he's willing to adjust on the fly if need be. Also very affordable compared to some of the others. It helped us knowing that Shannon was who we were going to get instead of getting a random DJ from a bigger company.

I couldn't be happier with my choice in Sound Extremes as my DJ for my husband and my September 17th wedding. Nick and I enjoyed Shannon so much! He was wonderful with all of our guests...especially a couple of little girls that loved to request ALL of their favorite songs throughout the night. PLUS the glow bracelets he brought for the little ones--it couldn't have been better. Shannon is SO down to earth and felt like a friend we'd known forever. Not to mention, his prices are extremely reasonable and his music variety is sure to be great for any and all your guests. If we're ever in need of a DJ for any other event, we will definitely be giving him a call again. Thanks, Shannon!!

Shannon was great...probably the easiest person to work with that we have ever met. The sound was awesome and the lights were just right without being too much for our older crowd members. The unlimited time feature was great so we didn't have to worry about extra charges (he showed up to set up at 1pm and played until midnight). My friends were still talking about my reception for weeks afterwards and two of them already booked Shannon for their upcoming weddings. My aunt said Shannon also kept the food stirred for the hour she was at my wedding across town...I highly recommend Shannon for anyone who is looking for a great DJ. 6 stars if I could.

Shannon is an amazing dj! I highly recommend him. Very easy to work with and always responded back to me quickly. Everyone at my reception loved him! It was like a blizzard outside all evening and night and he stayed the entire night playing music and talking with us.

Shannon was absolutely amazing. He was very quick to respond to my emails and was very flexible when we had to move the wedding date. He even accommodated me with a fog machine at the last minute for our entrances. Everyone loved the song selections, and there was not a moment when the dance floor was not full. He was set up early and dressed nicely. The glow sticks were a huge hit with the kids! He continued to check in with me during the night, and played everything that was requested by guests right away. My husband could not stop talking about how great our DJ was all night!

Do not hesitate! Book Shannon! He was the absolute sweetest, we would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He met the bridal party outside before our entrance just to make sure he had our names right and knew how we wanted to do things. He used almost all of my (numerous) song requests and even make us a mixed cd which we loved for our honeymoon roadtrip! My aunts even tell me he helped cut vegetables in the midst of a veggie tray crisis. He was so fun to talk to and everyone who did talk to him mentioned to me how great he was. The lights made the whole venue what it was. And out flower girl adored the glow sticks. Shannon made our reception perfect, which is just what we needed after a rained on ceremony. Book him! You won't regret it!

Shannon did a great job! He was extremely friendly and played everything we requested. He brought along his girlfriend to help him out and they both went above and beyond, helping with lighting candles, setting out cake, re-stocking bottled water, and even cleaning up. I would highly recommend Sound Extremes Mobile DJ!

Shannon was our DJ at our Daughters wedding. We videotaped the whole event. Our video (memories) turned out really cool with Sound Extremes lighting effects. We had a lot of music lovers at our event and Sound Extremes impressed us with his library of music.Shannon was happy to honor spur of the moment requests. Very nice, easy going, professional. Would recommend to anyone! Got all my questions answered with promptness. Very good prices! After searching for a DJ for our wedding reception, we finally settled on Sound Extremes. They did a great job for a very fair price. Sound Extremes was very easy to work with. I received prompt communication and responses to questions. The DJ that was at our wedding was very professional and he was very easy to work with. He did a great job before the event asking us specific questions about the timeline of things to take place. It was great not having to worry about how this part of the day was going to go as it turned out great and our guest had a lot of fun.

Laid back, flexible, and talented

Our wedding was laid back and we wanted to keep it more about the guests than us. He worked with me to keep our songs short and played song requests from our guests all night long. Hes very personable, honest, and easy to work with. I had friends take his info so they could use him in the futute!
