Libby & Justin's Wedding - April 26, 2025 - Montesino Ranch in Wimberley

Absolutely THE BEST experience!!! I would recommend Sound Experience time and time again. As the mother-of-the-Bride who planned a wedding in Wimberley, from College Station, for my recent TXST college graduate, Leanord was a lifesaver. He listened to our wants and needs, asked the important questions to ensure that he gave us the exact vibe we wanted. He made it easy and calm during the planning process and had everyone on the dance floor - old and young at the reception. We had several people tell us that he was one of the best DJ's they had ever heard.

Leanord didn't make it about himself (like some DJ's tend to do) or make it cheesy, he quietly did exactly what we asked, kept our timeline going, and communicated to the crowd every step of the way, so they knew where to be and what was coming next. He let us choose our own chill, timeless background music for the cocktail hour and dinner service and then he let loose. Everyone was on the dance floor enjoying themselves. He made this wedding SOOOOO MUCH FUN! Hire him, trust me!

Professional transitions

We wanted a bunch of random songs for our wedding and our DJ was able to accommodate whilst keeping the beat going! Also Leonard had been doing weddings for a very long time and is very professional and knowledgeable in his craft in so many ways. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ.

Lots of Fun, Great Songs, and Definitely Knows the Audience

This is the 2nd time we hire Leonard and Sound Experience Wedding and Event Entertainment. What is most impressive to us has been his ability to recognize what his particular audience enjoys. Every event is different, and different folks like different music. Finding the right balance and selection that gets the most people out on the dance floor and enjoying themselves truly sets Leonard and his team apart. Plus he understands he's there to play music and NOT talk. I for one, have no interest in a DJ talking all the time or singing along. Highly recommend.

Excellent DJ!

Sound Experience was exemplary in every way! Whether it was helping us manage our timeline, work out the exact wording of introductions and transitions, playing incredible tracks to get everyone on the dance floor or simply being available to meet at a time that worked for our schedules, Leonard's input and expertise was second to none! His professionalism, excellent communication skills, all the behind-the-scenes work and his kind attentiveness to our wants and needs made working together such a smooth process. We can't say enough just how pleased we were with his services. Sound Experience was the best choice for our special night!

Amazing to work with!

Leonard was absolutely amazing to work with. Not only did he check in regularly but when we had to postpone due to Covid he just took it in stride and made it one less thing for me to worry about. He was extremely organized and a pleasure to talk to on our zooms before hand. The day of the wedding Leonard made sure he was there with more than enough time to set up, had mics for the officiant and took all safety measure due to Covid. The music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception was phenomenal. In fact, people had left and cleaning had started and he still played music for us so we could keep dancing. It made the perfect end to the evening. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone that needs a DJ.

Awesome DJ for our intimate wedding

Leonard was awesome, he started off the week with a zoom call to confirm and go over everything, which was so great just to know everyone is on the same page. At the wedding he was flawless, played the music we wanted plus did a great job at adding in music choices that fit us.

The BEST DJ around!

Even though we had no doubt DJ Slyce was the best DJ, he still went above and beyond our expectations, he was sort of a wedding coordinator himself. He handled all aspects of the wedding when it came to us being on time and announcing all the major events happening throughout the evening. I would recommend him to anyone, for any event. If you want to have a great time and remain stress free when it comes to music entertainment, DJ Slyce is your guy!

Hernandez Birthday Party

I was organizing a surprise party for my wife within a couple of weeks. Did not have a DJ but I had seen DJ Slyce (Leonard) at a previous event and I was impress with his music and set up. I called him up at the last minute and he was able to provide us with entertainment. With short notice and minimal guidance he provide excellent service. I would recommend him to anyone that wish to receive professional entertainment. I suggest that you would allow him, more time to prepare; unlike I did.

DJSlyce is what you need for your next event! Spectacular!

Music selections perfect, personable, good presentation, really get's the people going. The night started out great and ended great. The beat of the music played along really well with the mood of the crowd and every time the mood changed in the crowd, I noticed the change of music to match what was happening. That is ART and TALENT! WOULD HIRE AGAIN WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT!

Music Genres & Generations & a Full Dance Floor

The DJ's best skill is his technical ability to seamlessly mix varying genres of music for guests of all ages and generations. He carefully prepared for our event and ask several questions to ensure that he had everything right (music, location of equipment, announcements, etc). And, on the big day, he did not make our event about him... more music, less DJ chatter. Instead, our wedding party was about the bride, the groom, the family and the guests. The music kept flowing and the dance floor stayed full of happy, dancing, laughing revelers. Great job!

Would highly recommend

I didn't have too much direct contact with Leonard from Sound Experience as my wedding coordinator took care of booking him and contacting him. He did, however, contact me a few days before the wedding to ensure we had all of the correct information and was on the same page as far as toasts, first dance, and other necessities. He was very nice, very professional and flexible as well! I gave him a list of songs that I wanted played during certain times and he happily obliged. I also told him to go ahead and add any songs that are fun to dance to at the reception and we he did that as well. We are very happy with sound experience and Leonard.

Wow. What can I say about Leonard. Music was the most important thing to us because everything we did at the wedding revolved around music. Leonard was PHENOMENAL to work with. We began our planning with him over half a year before the wedding and couldn’t have been happier with his service. Leonard helped us plan all of our musical needs down to the second. We also opted to have a wedding CD made that Leonard did an amazing job on. Even months later, our guests are raving about how wonderful the dance was and how the wedding CD brings back great memories from that night.

If you are contemplating choosing a DJ, Leonard (DJ Slyce-Sound Experience) is your guy. He took all of our asks into consideration, arranged personal meetings to get to know us and made our wedding night one to remember.

I usually do not provide any comments or feedback, but after our experience I just wanted to share our experience. As with most families, the wedding was planned a year in advance, including having a DJ in place. With two months before the wedding or DJ dropped out! We called the venue desperate and with little hope. They quickly suggested DJ Slyce-Sound Experience. We were a little skeptical, but within three minutes of the call, it was a blessing in disguise. These guys were so professional, no doubt they have done this before. He had an outline of stages within the wedding that could/should have music, and provided some great ideas. Once they day arrived, they arrived early and were all set up before our guests arrived. They played all we requested and did a great job of getting people engaged but were not over bearing. We've been to events before, where the DJ begins to think the event is about him; not Leonard, he was very good and it was always about my daughter and son-in-law. I would highly recommend.

I attended a cousins wedding Anniversary last year where DJ Slyce was providing the music. After listening to his music and seeing how professional he was we were really interested in hiring him, so we did. It has been a year working with Leonard in preparing this event and we are so excited as to how the event was a success. The music was great and we received lots of compliments on the music. Leonard was always professional and would always respond immediately with answers to our questions and worked well with the other vendors we hired for this event. Something that really stood out was immediately when we hired him he reached out to our hotel event coordinator to see if he could visit the venue. Our family highly recommends DJ Slyce!!!

Our school was so glad to have Sound Experience come out and dj our prom this year.
From the first conversation that we had to the week of the event, DJ Slyce was so great about talking us through what to expect and what kind of music we would like for the kids. The guys at Sound Experience were so professional at the event. It has been two days since the event and the kids have said only positive things about how great the music, lights, and screen display were.

Best night ever! I married the love of my life and had an awesome time with our friends and family. The music was on point, from the genres, artists and songs to the timing! DJ Slyce got every last one of our guests on the dance floor at some point during the night. My dad even danced the Nae Nae! Epic!

DJ Slyce-Sound Experience Did an awesome job! Everything went exactly as I had planned. We wanted a specific kind of music and had most of our songs picked out and then asked him to fill in the rest for us according to our music taste and what our guests were looking for as far as dance music. He read our crowd well. I wanted my bridesmaids and the groomsmen to walk into two different songs but at the same time of course and he managed to put them into one and the mix was killer!!! He did a great job announcing and keeping everything on track and managing the flow of the evening. His services were well worth what we paid and then some!!!

DJ Slyce-Sound Experience made our wedding a truly memorable experience! Dj Slyce, Leonard, was extremely professional from beginning with the initial consultation to logistics and until the end of our special wedding day. He managed to keep our wedding guests on the dance floor all night. His wedding intro was phenomenal and overall was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone searching for a DJ. He is absolutely the best! Our wedding guests are still talking about how much fun they had our wedding!

After getting engaged, my fiancé told me we would be hiring Leonard (DJ Slyce) because they had gone to school together. I've never met him and a great DJ is essential to our wedding. So, my fiancé set up a meeting. During the meeting we discussed all the ideas for our special day. Leonard was extremely professional. He was ready with a sample timeline, a list of song suggestions, and a contract. Having a contract on hand is very helpful to allow all parties to go over the fine print and get all questions answered.
We wanted our wedding to have a mix - English high energy dance music and a great Spanish dance music, to help us incorporate both of our cultures. It's not an easy task to please our wedding guests while making us happy. We also had several special requests, such as "La Vibora de la Mar", a very traditional Mexican dance for the bride and all female guests. But as soon as Leonard and I connected talking about Spanish Pop from the 90's, my decision to use him for our day was made. We met with him at least two more times. He made sure we stayed on track. Things get so crazy as the wedding day approaches. He was cool with any changes we requested. On top of the dance music, we had a very different list for the Cocktail hour.
On our wedding day, Leonard did an AMAZING job. Everything he did was perfect. He was extremely professional. I loved that his personality is easy-going, approachable, and friendly. He followed all our instructions and created a memorable night. DJ Slyce is very affordable which helped us stay within our budget. Being in the wedding business myself, I've seen big budget DJ's not being able to keep guests on the dance floor. A DJ can make or break your big day, and Leonard did great to keep the party going. I did not want to leave the dance floor. My guests mentioned it was the most fun wedding they had attended. We wished it had ended much later, but all good things must come to an end. Yet the beginning of our marriage was a blast.

I loved how the dj was a true professional.. from the time we first talked till the time we finished our party.. he was a great mc as well... knew exactly how to keep the crowd dancing the whole night... highly recommend dj slyce

Leonard did an amazing job!! We let him have total control of the music and he read the crowd perfectly. So many of our guests gave us compliments about the music and how great the music selection was!

DJ Slyce was phenomenal!!!! From the moment he started the reception/dance the dance floor was never empty. He played a variety of great music from Tejano, Country, Hip-Hop to old school hits. My wife and I received nothing but positive comments from our guest. Not only was he professional, he has great follow up and is always kept in touch with us at all times. I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Slyce for your next venue. Fantastic job Leonard!!! Thank you for everything!!

Leonard made our final night party so much fun! He was very easy to work with and made the pre-event planning a breeze. The music selection was fantastic-everyone had a blast!

The Sound Experience was an excellent DJ service. They were very professional. They showed up, set up quickly, and started right on time. They had an excellent variety of music and Leonard, the DJ really knew how to get people out on the dance floor. I would definitely hire them for future engagements!

DJ Slyce performed for us for our end of year banquet for our youth football league and really did an outstanding job he was professional courteous and very fair with his rates! I would definitely use his services again and definitely would recommend him to others! Thank you again for an awesome evening for our kids!

Leonard aka DJ Slyce made our wedding spectacular!!! He really took consideration of all the music we wanted to hear and of all the different ages in our party. The selection of music was exceptional and I would request him again for my next event! The mood was set right and he had all the music that was requested. He did our entire wedding ceremony and reception and never missed a beat, even when our flower girl (my daughter) hid when it was her time to walk out. Leonard kept it cool and professional throughout the night and had everyone dancing and having a good time. Many asked for his playlist for our wedding because they were so impressed! I highly reccomend him because he will keep you happy and make sure to focus on your needs.

DJ Slyce-Sound Experience is a world class DJ! From the day we first met with him to discuss his price to the day of the wedding, Leonard was very professional. We contacted him a year before the wedding and he made sure he kept in touch with us throughout the year. Leonard made my daughter's wedding reception run so smoothly and played an assortment of music throughout the night that was enjoyed by all! Thank you Leonard for making this once in a life time event for my family such a memorable day! Found out the day of the wedding that his dad was the DJ at my youngest sister's wedding too many years ago! Like father like son....Great DJ's! Will definitely use DJ Slyce-Sound Experience again!

Leonard DJ'd for my sister's wedding, so when it came my time to wedding plan, he was my first choice. Right away we were able to secure a date. Leonard's professionalism and attentiveness to his clients is top-notch. He accommodated every request and requirement I asked of him. In a stressful time of planning, it was great to work with someone whose priority was the success of your big day. Additionally, his price rate to value ratio is more than fair; I'd recommend him to anyone.

We were so glad we picked you to be our dj. Everyone loved the music, you played lots of oldies, and the

The Owen Goodnight PTO has used Sound Experience for multiple school dances and he always keeps the music age appropriate and the kids dancing. He has a tremendous personality and we will continue to use him.

DJ Slyce met with my husband and I three times to ensure that we all had a good understanding about the music selections for our upcoming wedding. He exceeded our expectations and left our guests wanting to hear more music! DJ Slyce knows how to engage the crowd and the dance floor was packed from the beginning of the reception to the end! Great DJ For Our Wedding!

Leonard was awesome in the beginning stages of communication about making a personalized DJ setup for our venue. He was a great MC throughout the night, and didn't need much direction, he knew exactly what to do! Would recommend
