Fantastic DJ

T.D. is just GREAT. We had some glitches but T.D. just rolled with the punches, got everyone on the dance floor right off the bat and kept it going. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Thank you, T.D.

Amazing & fun DJ!

T.D. was AMAZING!! Aside from being an incredible DJ who kept the party going all night, he is just a great person with a fun personality! He is so easy to work with and helpful throughout the planning process. As a planner, I loved every bit of working with Sound Enforcement and know you will too.

T.D. is the ultimate professional

Although wedding planning can be stressful, T.D. made music, audio, and dancing a breeze for us. From day one, he was helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. He knew the layout of the venue like the back of his hand and was able to walk us through his set ups from the ceremony to the reception. As wedding date approached, T.D. had reminders set up in his planning platform to remind us to fill out important information like the schedule of events, song preferences, and how to find our toast speakers. It really made the planning process seamless and easy. On the day of, T.D. never missed a beat and his transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were flawless. He kept our wedding party dancing the whole night and even ran our wedding shoe game. We could not recommend him more and look forward to working with him in the future!

T.D. is amazing!

T.D. was great to work with. From the start of the process, I felt very comfortable as he walked me through how his service would work and was able to answer all of my questions. His checklist form was very organized and was broken out by wedding “events” where I was able to outline exactly the music we would like played. I could not be happier with the way the wedding day went- everything transitioned smoothly and the whole night had a great flow. T.D. took music requests from guests and was very approachable. After the event, we received several comments from guests on how much they enjoyed T.D. as well as the music. I highly recommend him!

Sound Enforcement-Highly Recommend!

TD was amazing, professional yet laid back. He was recommended to us by our caterer, and after speaking with him on the phone, he was hired! He walked us though everything, and had a detailed form to fill out and get back to him about what kind of music we wanted or didn't want, when we wanted it played, and timeline for the event. We spoke on the phone about a week before the wedding to go over the paper, and he was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The day of the wedding, our timeline got moved around due to the health of a family member, and TD barely blinked an eye. He moved songs around for us easily, took examples of songs we had given him and expanded on them, and had everyone out on the dance floor after dinner.
I would highly recommend TD and Sound Enforcement to anyone looking for a competent, professional and fun DJ.

Cannot say enough good things about T.D.!

I cannot say enough good things about Sound Enforcement. T.D. was amazing and extremely professional at my wedding. This was a half Colombian and half American crowd, so I wanted to make sure everyone had music they enjoyed. He provided an entire checklist for the type of music that I envisioned throughout each event. The party did not disappoint; everyone was up on the dance floor once the party kicked off. The whole event went really smoothly and I didn't have to worry about the flow of night. I highly recommend him!

T.D. is a joy to work with. He completely understood our vision and then exceeded all expectations. Our wedding guests did not leave the dance floor which is exactly what I wanted. His packages are extremely reasonable and include things like customized monogram light and uplighting for no extra charge. I can't recommend him enough!

T.D. is the boss!

T.D. was a consummate professional—easy to talk to and easy to work with. He was very patient in answering technical and run-of-show questions, made sure all of our details were as we wanted them (including our using custom song tracks for different cues) with multiple check-ins, and even accommodated last-minute playlist alterations. On the day of, his equipment ran flawlessly and he did a great job of facilitating the reception without making himself the center of attention at all. We strongly recommend him.

Td is wonderful!

We had the best experience with TD as our DJ! He is friendly and funny and we meshed with him right away. He provided a lot of super helpful guidance during the planning process and was always responsive.
On the big day, he did a KILLER job with the music! There were ALWAYS people on the dance floor and he did a great job reading the room and curating a playlist. It made for an AMAZING party and we could not have done it without TD! He is the best!

Wonderful to work with!

TD was incredible to work with for our wedding! He did a great job working with our outdoor ceremony to make sure the music we selected and all of the readings worked perfectly in the space, and then the music and flow of the cocktail hour and reception was amazing! He was a blast to have at our wedding and we would highly recommend working with him!

DJ Tobler is fantastic! He is willing to put in the time to get to know the musical interests of the couple and discuss any questions or desires for the wedding day. He is very flexible and a great MC. Just the right amount of involvement to get the crowd on the dance floor but does not go overboard. Whether you want a huge dance party at your reception, the perfect music for dinner, or anything else you desire, DJ Tobler is the man for you.

TD is amazing. I loved that I didn't have to do anything other than hire him and he took care of the rest. He was perfect in selecting our ceremony music, the cocktail hour music and the reception music was a hit. People could not stop talking about how flawlessly he could control the wedding and change the mood. He provided us microphones for the ceremony, and reception which was amazing! The lights we spectacular and the sound quality was amazing. As a bride, it is a sigh of relief to have the best in the business and thats what he is. He took an immense amount of stress off of us so that we could enjoy our big day. I didn't have to give him a long lists of songs to play or anything! I told him what I wanted and the feel we were trying to achieve and every time a song came on it was one of my favorites. He knows what he's doing!! I would recommend to anyone getting married who wants to cross experienced, professional, knowledgeable DJ off their list :)

TD from Sound Enforcement DJ was amazing to work with. He allowed us to have the freedom and creativity to make our day a reality. He explained everything easily and ensured that the sound quality during our ceremony was top notch and the songs played during the reception got our guests excited for dancing! He had everything needed on the A/V side to ensure all the speeches/words from our wedding party and family were all perfect and we never had to worry about a thing. He even helped wheel our grandmother through some tough grass so she could see our exit front row. TD was a delight working with and if you need any DJ'ing needs, reach out to TD! T.D. was hassle free and a great choice for our special day! We weren't a huge dancing crowd, but he still managed to get us out on the dance floor and having a blast. He's also a great choice if you need an emcee - he's got a great voice!

TD did an incredible job with the music for our wedding. We gave him a short list of songs we really wanted to hear and the genres we liked (from Motown to 90s music to current hits) and he knocked it out of the park. We received many compliments from our guests that they had a great time because the dance floor was always full. The music was one of the highlights of our big day. Many thanks!!

TD was an incredible DJ! Not only was he fantastic at his job- keeping the dance floor alive and entertaining others. He also helped step in when another vendor failed to fulfill their task. We greatly appreciated his willingness to help without hesitation. We also recommend the shoe game that he offers with his services. The guests all commented on how great of a time that was. He played a great variety of music that had everybody dancing. Wonderful person and superb DJ. Recommend highly to everyone!!

TD provides top notch DJ services. I had an outdoor wedding at the end of December and my wish was to have an outdoor ceremony. TD provided ceremony microphones for my musicians, fiancé, and pastor. With it being outside, I was worried about the sound not picking up but his microphone equipment quickly took care of this issue.

He worked with me every step of the way when I had questions or wanted to add to my contract. He is amazing and I'm so glad that we chose him to DJ and MC at our wedding.

For our wedding at Keswick Vineyards, we were given a list of prospective DJs to choose from. After inquiring about their recommendation for a DJ that knew how to throw an amazing dance party, we were given TD’s information. From the detailed pre-wedding questionnaire and phone conversations to the day of our wedding, T.D. was very professional, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. We also used T.D. for our ceremony amplification. We are happy to report that we did not have any microphone malfunctions! Most importantly, the reception was truly a party from the time we were introduced until the time we made our escape. From the lighted monogram initials, choreographed dances, and a variety of music, he made sure we had everything we asked for. T.D. kept us to our timeline and kept the guests aware of the happenings around the venue. We are so thankful to have had him as our D.J., as many memories were made on the dance floor that night. 5 stars from us! Thank you, T.D.

TD was a fantastic find! From start to finish he was easy to work with, knowledgeable, flexible and respectful. He made sure our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception had the perfect music and he double and triple checked all the details prior to the big day. He talked us through tiny details (like exactly how long it would take to get our bridal party down the aisle to make sure our music selections would work) and had our timeline of events down to the minute to keep us on track. My family and friends have difficult to pronounce names but he made sure he had each one perfect and that small detail meant so much to me. He was exactly what we wanted in a DJ - he was able to keep the reception moving and make subtle announcements, but he was never in our face and was definitely NOT one of those cheesy DJs that makes themselves the center of attention. He perfectly read the dancing tastes of our crowd and played the perfect song one after the other. I never left the dance floor and neither did my guests. I could not have asked for a better fit for our event. Thanks TD!

Hiring TD was one of the best things we did in the wedding planning process. Our guests, who are not typically big dancers, were all out of their seats as soon as dancing began, and the dance floor was full the whole night. He was even able to incorporate some Greek music and dancing into our reception very easily. The transition to and from Greek music was seamless and worked very well, which is something I was worried about going into the night.

In addition to making sure everyone was having a good time, he kept things on schedule running smoothly throughout the whole night. I would highly recommend TD. He is worth it!

When my husband and I planned our wedding our goal was to make sure we had the best party ever. That meant we needed a great venue and a great DJ. When we found our venue, we asked them for DJ selections and they gave us T.D's Sound Enforcement DJ Service. Using T.D as our DJ was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. T.D was professional throughout the entire process. He responded quickly to emails, guided us throughout the entire process, checked in to finalize everything a couple of weeks before the wedding, and kept the party going the day of the wedding. T.D was a great MC and DJ the day of, and he took request.
I do not think my husband and I could thank him enough for making our wedding day so memorable.
If you are able to get T.D as a DJ for your event jump at the chance, you won't regret it.

TD was wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding process. From the beginning he was extraordinarily helpful and made sure that we were going to get the services we wanted and needed. He understands what is expected and what fit with our personalities. He goes beyond the call of just being a DJ, he is the perfect combination of professionalism and receptiveness. He helped to ensure that everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. He supplied and ran the microphones for the service, played music from dinner until the end of the night, and was our MC. He also told me, the bride, not to worry about anything on the day of the wedding related to music, microphones, and our timeline. And thanks to him, I didn't worry about any of it because everything went according to the plan. He also played the perfect music for us and our guests that kept everyone dancing and on their feet throughout the night. He has a great command of the audience. He MC-ed throughout the night, but was not intrusive and made sure the music and scheduled events were the focus of the night. Almost all of our guests, including several family members and friends, made it a point to tell us after the wedding how much they loved our DJ and what an amazing job he did of playing music and MC-ing. We highly recommend T.D. and Sound Enforcement for any and all occasions. Thank you T.D.!!! We can not express how much we appreciate you and how integral you were in making our wedding perfect!!

I can't say enough about T.D. and Sound Enforcement. T.D. did an incredible job and helped make our wedding day perfect. I'll try and summarize for each of the categories.

Quality of Service:
The music was great, the lighting looked amazing and the ceremony mics ensured that everyone in the crowd could hear what was going on. Several times throughout the night I had family and friends comment on how great the music was, and how nice all the lighting looked. He was patient during all of our planning and never had any issues when we would get back to him on short notice. He kept the energy level high all night and played all the right songs.

Responsiveness:
T.D. was great at replying to e-mails and phone calls and we were never the ones waiting to hear back from him. Any time we had questions or concerns, he answered quickly and thoroughly.

Professionalism:
T.D. was very professional throughout the evening. He has a great personality, is friendly, punctual, organized, and worked wonderfully with our other vendors and "Day-Of" coordinator. It's obvious that he's worked a number of weddings and knows all the ins and outs of the day. He was never intrusive, and followed the few guidelines we did have with no problem.

Value:
Easily worth the money we spent. Really, Sound Enforcement was worth every penny and is a great value.

Flexibility:
Perfectly flexible. My wife and I were a bit late getting back to him on several occasions but he was able to meet every need we had without issue. We didn't even get out our suggested songs list until 48 hours prior to our wedding and the playlist was impeccable! During the reception we made a few last second changes to the announcements, order of events and again, no problem.

It was a pleasure working with T.D. and am really glad he was able to be a part of our day. If you need a DJ you absolutely cannot go wrong here.

T.D. is AWESOME! We really enjoyed having him as our DJ. Everyone had a great time and he played appropriate music at appropriate times! He is very professional and knowledgeable. He pays close attention to details and is very thorough. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! He also provided ceremony music and sound amplification for us----something that we weren't sure that we wanted, but he gave us the pros/cons of sound amplification and he was totally right! We were so glad that we did that with an outdoor wedding of 180 guests. T.D. also had a little surprise for us near the end of the night and everyone RAVED over that!! Thank you T.D. for everything! We hired a DJ because we didn't know what we were doing with music. T.D. was great. Even though we gave him scant guidance on what to play, his song choices were great and everyone loved the music. You could tell that he had done hundreds of weddings and knew what to play and what to do. He was very professional and prompt with communicating, which was a real plus. I have only good things to say about him and would recommend him to anyone.

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! T.D. was professional and responsive leading up the day, making it very easy for us to plan. He provided great amplification for our outdoor ceremony—allowing all 100 of our guests to hear everything clearly—and he was the perfect emcee for our reception. Everyone had a blast thanks to his careful attention to the crowd’s taste in music! He catered to guests of all ages during the early portion of the night and focused more on the younger crowd in the later hours. The sound quality and volume level were exactly as we’d hoped, and he somehow managed to smoothly squeeze in some of our family members’ unusual song requests without interrupting the flow of the evening. He obviously pays careful attention to every little detail and works hard to ensure that the bride, groom, and their guests have a great time at the reception. I’d recommend him to anyone planning an event!

DJ TD Layman with Sound Enforcement is an excellent choice for your wedding DJ. My husband and I think a DJ is incredibly important for ensuring wedding guests know what is occurring and allowing everyone to have fun and actually dance. We met with TD early in the process to go over our vision for the day, and were always pleased with his professionalism and quick responses to any of our questions or concerns through-out the planning process. TD sent us a comprehensive form a few weeks before our wedding and we discussed over the phone to ensure we were all on the same page. He did an excellent job of ensuring our reception was kept to the strict timeline and accommodating any guest requests provided to him beforehand - as well as during the actual event. TD offers great flexibility and quality in DJ services and my husband and I are very pleased with Sound Enforcement's performance.

We hired TD as a referral from our wedding planner without meeting him. We exchanged a few emails and phone calls since we don't live in VA. We were comfortable when we spoke on the phone after he answered our many questions and we were confident we were on the same page. When the time got closer I had a few concerns about songs and the lay out but TD put me at ease and going into our wedding day I didn't worry at all. On the day of our wedding he was more than great! He arrived on time, had everything organized and ready to go, and looked very professional! TD played a great variety of songs and had everyone dancing! He played the songs we told him were important to us and the rest was up to him. He picked perfectly! Besides the great song selections he also made sure the people giving speeches knew when to speak, where to stand, etc. We can't say enough great things about TD and his services, we highly recommend him for any event!

T.D. is a wonderful DJ. He was great during the wedding planning process in helping us with timelines, do not play lists, and working out exactly how we wanted our reception to go. On our wedding day he kept everyone on the dance floor, and really helped get everything moving after our caterer was late serving dinner (THANK YOU!!). We loved having T.D. as part of our day and highly recommend him!

TD Layman from Sound Enforcement was the DJ and sound man at our wedding. He was flawless. The sound for our outdoor ceremony was just right- and my husband wore a microphone so that our guests could hear our vows, and he says that he doesn't even remember TD taking the microphone off of him before the pictures. Such a pro.

His voice and style were so great at the reception. He pronounced and practiced everyones' names, and we gave him quite the challenges, too. For the music, we gave him some basic instructions, play requests and veto lists, and he just nailed it. The flow of the wedding was perfect, he kept people dancing all night long, and really could read the crowd.

Also, he was very happy to meet with us any time and always responded promptly to any outreach. Such a fun guy, and really professional. I highly reccomend his services.

Sound Enforcement was a dream to work with! After the long process of trying to choose perfect music for our special dances, my groom and I were exhausted. T.D. helped us through every process, he provided a cover-all form that allows you to organize all of your requests and "do-not-plays" with ease.
His service and professionalism was wonderful. He kept ALL of our guests dancing through the very last song. Many guests and vendors approached me commenting that they had never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding before. I highly recommend him for any wedding and any function.

My bride-to-be gave me one job and one job only. She told me it was my job to hire the DJ. Being the nervous groom-to-be, I wanted to make sure that I pleased my future wife. When we were looking for a DJ we had a very specific style in mind. It needed to fit with our style as well as the them of our reception. Our reception was a costume mascarade party. T.D. made our wedding an incredibly fun night. He has an amazing talent for reading the crowd and playing the best music to get people engaged in the party and enjoying themselves. We started getting compliments on the music as early as dinnertime! Now, looking back, people constantly tell us how fun our wedding was and how great the music was. Also, I could completely trust him to be professional and run the show, making sure that the timeline went smoothly, people were where they needed to be for important events of the night, the bride and groom were doing okay (and had eaten!) and that the crowd was having a good time. We have T.D. to thank for making our wedding reception the fantastic party that we wanted!

From the beginning, TD was extremely easy to work with. Throughout the process of planning my wedding, he was responsive to emails and helped keep me organized. Everyone loved the music. He kept the evening flowing, communicating with me, the caterer, and the photographer. I could not have asked for more. He totally made my day and evening a lot less stressful. He provided the sound equipment for our wedding and put a lapel mic on the minister. He is a great guy, great personality, very personable. I met T.D Layman, of Sound Enforcement DJ Service after I saw him Emcee/DJ a fun event at the Dogwood Festival in Charlottesville. I was so impressed with him that I invited him to be the DJ for my wedding the following year. He absolutely MADE my reception. As a theatre major, I had very high expectations of the "ring leader" of my wedding reception. T.D. led the event with ease, and came to me periodically throughout the reception to make sure things were going the way I wanted them. He was extremely professional and even asked me what attire I would prefer he would wear for the event. He has such a great personality and was at ease and in control of the event. I was so happy I could ENJOY my reception without worrying if people knew what was going on or what was coming next. TD did a great job and exceeded my expectations. All my guests were raving not only about his music, but other things he incorporated in the reception as well. I highly reccommend his services.

TD was great at our wedding! He listening to all of our request (and no not play list!) and was extremely accommodating. What TD did best was stay in tune with the guests at the wedding to ensure that everyone from the Hip Hop fans to Frank Sinatra fans had an opportunity to hit the dance floor. He was also our MC and did great. I highly recommend him to any engaged couple!

We threw ideas and changed what we wanted to have done even as the reception was in progress. Before, during and after TD was incredible!We had never met prior to planning our reception. He had come highly recommended by someone I trusted. He was always professional and calm trying to wade through the hodge podge of information he was provided. He blended in at the country club and was a class act.He took the time to try to understand (maybe better than I) what I was looking for. Everyone had a blast. He even showed a curious toddler his sound board. I believe some would have handled things very differently.
Would I recommend him? You bet!

We want to thank you for doing such a great job as our DJ at our wedding. You are very professional, friendly, and easy to work with and we have heard nothing but compliments about the way you conducted your services.

Everyone especially loved the "shoe game" and we can't wait to see how we were voting when we get the video! It was a great time and a terrific way to get people excited. We noticed we had a rather older crowd at our wedding and that people were doing a lot of sitting around at one point but you always had something ready to get them moving. Thanks for having such keen audience awareness and tailoring our reception to an event everyone could enjoy. We saw people on the dance floor that we thought we would never see out there!

T.D. was great to work with. His expertise made the planning of our reception easy. He thought of so many things that were very helpful. It was relaxing to rely upon his experience and knowledge. Our reception was awesome. Everyone danced and had a great time. T.D. played a variety of music that was pleasing to all of our guests. I had never seen my father dance before. It was great!

Great great DJ! TD was just amazing and really got our wedding the way we wanted it. TD had all the things we needed, knew the music we wanted (based on a small list of ideas) and really made it fun. He kept the guests in the wedding. Some people, younger people, sometimes questioned why we were playing a lot of oldies, but TD knew that the early crowd was older generation. So not only did he get my 94 year old grandmother dancing, but all of the guests. He was great.

And unknown to me, my husband and him also had special stuff planned for me during my father/uncle- daughter dance. And my husband could not have done it without him. Thank you TD!

TD's pricing is great, and he has everything you could want. It was great all around and he was just so calm, and so easy to work with!

Thanks for everything, and if anyone wants TD to do their wedding, they are seriously in for the best DJ.

Amazing D.J. service! My husband and I really enjoyed working with T.D. Many of our guests have written or called complimenting his services. Great music and a great atmosphere

T.D. was great! He played great music and kept the party going. We used his services for both the ceremony and the reception. It was nice having microphones for the ceremony so that we did not have to shout to be heard by our guests in the back. For the reception, T.D. did a great job getting people on to the dance floor. He even jumped in to show us the steps for a line dance! I would highly recommend Sound Enforcement DJ Services!!

We can't say enough good things about T.D.! My mother actually booked him originally so I talked to him a couple weeks before the wedding and he had me fill out a questionnaire with the major songs and then style and logistics questions which was really helpful. He worked with our venue to make sure he had everything he needed as far as location setup because I couldn't answer all of his questions (he was able to figure it out without me having to get involved which was wonderful since as a bride there are 8,000 things to do the last month before the wedding!!)

We had him do amplification/mics only for our ceremony and that was without a doubt worth it - we had a mic for the minister, the reader, and on the groom's lapel so everyone could hear. Since we were outside this was really important because it's frustrating for guests if they can't hear anything that's going on (at least that's how I have felt!).

T.D. was a wonderful MC for the evening, keeping things moving along and making sure guests knew when/where things were happening, and just keeping the atmosphere fun! The music was perfect during dinner and then into the night as things got more lively. We had a diverse group from age 17 to 80's and T.D. was able to read the crowd and played a wide variety of music that appealed to all different age groups. We did the shoe game and his questions were great and everyone of all ages really enjoyed it! We had quite a few people who told us how great they thought our DJ was! He is so nice and was definitely the perfect DJ for our wedding!

Good but needs to listen to his customer’s wants better

TD was very professional and flexible. We spent a lot of time planning the perfect music to be played . We provided lists for each segment of day - ceremony, cocktail hour & reception. All went well until reception when he played very few songs from our list of must play songs. He didn’t even play the correct last song until we made him stop & play the selected song. We had very large group of friends from Jackson Hole & California and music he played didn’t fit their style (play list did). TD is a very nice guy & if you don’t mind him playing his own selections, then TD is your man. But if you want very specific playlist, I recommend you continue your search
