We booked SoPrime Entertainment after a recommendation from our wedding planner and they didn’t disappoint! Working to coordinate having a photo booth at our reception was a cinch and it was a great overall add to our event. It’s great that guests can immediately retrieve the photos they take and booth operator even offered to hold onto all the print outs for the bride and groom to retrieve at the end of the night. There is even an option to download all the photos taken that night post the event! Great experience. -

My husband and I hired Chris and Anthony back in 2019 for our Aug 2020 wedding. Due to covid we ended up cancelling our original big wedding, but friend's and family were able to help plan a smaller ceremony and reception held in our backyard. Through the last minute transition, Chris and Anthony were super easy to work with and continued to do everything in their power to make sure their services were still what we'd hoped. The day of our wedding they were more than I could've ever hoped for. I don't think we (or our friends and family) have ever had as much fun as we did thanks to these two. They really made sure everything ran smoothly and according to our schedule and also made sure everyone was having a blast. I cannot thank them enough for making our day so incredible. -

The SoPrime team was so amazing to work with, and dedicated so much of their time and energy to make sure our wedding day music was perfect. They also did an amazing job taking photos and video to help us capture and remember our wedding day. It was such a pleasure to work with them. For anyone in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, hire them! They truly do it all! -

Chris and Matias were incredible! They DJ'd our 1920's themed wedding at the Blackstone this December. They let us personalize our music so we got exactly what we wanted! The SoPrime website was very helpful and it was great to be able to be so hands on and informed about how the evening would run. They were really organized and clearly experienced. I'm glad that they sold us on the uplighting because it was totally worth it:) They brought such great energy to the evening and kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night. Chris even got on the dance floor to lead one of the group dances! We also loved the photo booth and think that our guests had a blast! They even helped purchase some "Gatsby" props to use. -

Amanda Sent on 08/12/2018I wish I could give DJ Chris Socha way more than 5 stars!! We decided to meet with him after having the time of our lives at a friends wedding. He created an out of this world timeline for the ENTIRE evening (type A brides, seriously look no further, he does it all) and helped make sure it was smooth. The dance floor was packed until the very end of the night, with people of all ages. (We saw this at our friends wedding too!) We have gotten many many compliments on the music! Most importantly, we had SO MUCH FUN, and so did all of our guests! DJ Chris is talented, knows how to read a crowd and keep the party going. We are SO Thankful we had you on our day. MANY MANY THANKS!!

Eileen Sent on 08/20/2017Best DJ ever! Not only was Justin an absolute pleasure to work with, but he did an amazing job! I couldn't believe how many of my guests approached me just to tell me how much they loved the music - whether it was during cocktail hour, dinner, or dancing, everyone enjoyed the mood Justin set. I had requested that he play to the crowd and get people dancing and he did just that! He was also fantastic at keeping the night running between introductions, cake cutting, special dances, and the bouquet/garter toss. I don't know what else to say except that you will not be disappointed if you hire SoPrime Entertainment for your wedding. And they offer all kinds of other cool stuff like uplights and photobooths, too! They really are the best! Thanks so much for everything! Our wedding couldn't have been so perfect without you! -

My husband and I met with Chris in January 2017 for our July wedding and I walked away feeling as if my wedding planning was nearly complete. He was very knowledgable about various genres of music and very open to suggestions for the kind of music we wanted to be played. It was very apparent from our first day of meeting him that he was going to be the perfect DJ for our wedding. Honestly, you can tell that he has found his niche in life from his enthusiasm and knowledge. There were moments when I had doubts about the whole wedding planning process and his calming and assurance was so genuine and a key in shaking out any nerves I had. He served as the MC for our wedding and kept us on pace for time. Our guests loved the music choices as they rarely sat down. I even received a text from a friend during dinner complimenting us on our dinner music.SoPrime Entertainment's reply:

He followed my playlist to a T, took requests, and kept the party going all night!
AWESOME! Would hire him again if I could do it all over again -

Wish I could give a better review here. We saw Justin at a friend's wedding and thought they did a decent enough job so we decided to hire them for our own wedding. They were very responsive and communication was great.
Unfortunately covid hit and changed our plans so we ended up getting married with a ceremony only and planned to do a reception the following year. Justin was also very responsive during the planning of our new reception date, but informed us he wasn't available for the new date we had chosen.
As soon as we asked about our deposit everything changed. We could no longer get responses to our emails or texts. Why the sudden change? It has now been weeks since we've heard anything from them and assume they are ghosting us in order to keep the deposit.
Out of our entire group of wedding vendors, they were the only ones to do this to us. And for that I would not recommend doing business with them.
Edit: After posting this review I was finally contacted and informed that there was a problem with the refund process and that they would fix it. I have now received the refund and am thankful, but this whole thing could have been avoided with simple communication. I have updated my review to reflect these changes.
