An Excellent Experience

Sona and her team are amazing! They know their job really well and care a lot about their clients needs and worries. I hired Sona to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, and everyone (including myself) loved their work. They are professional, responsive, and kind: a great team you can absolutely trust to work with. Aside from that, Sona is a lovely person who I am super glad to know.

BEST experience ever!

I am going to save you from reading the rest of this review right now, so you have time to book Sona Cox Makeup before they get booked up. BEST makeup & hair hands down. I looked and felt absolutely beautiful! I came from Phoenix, AZ to elope in Vegas on May 1st and even though it was going to be just the two of us, I still wanted to go all out and look beautiful on my big day! I was in the wedding & event industry for over 20 years and have helped plan hundreds of weddings in my career. But now for myself...in a whole other town, I was experiencing what most brides must go through, having doubts and not knowing who to pick as their vendors. I was so grateful I found Sona here on Wedding Wire and looked through her photos and read her reviews. After sending her an email she responded immediately and after a few minutes later I booked Sona. I am so happy I did. My photos came out amazing and I couldn't believe it, but I still looked good the next morning and my eyelashes stayed on until the following evening. So, I felt extra pretty the next day too! Bonus! I have had my hair and makeup done multiple times in my life, but I can honestly say that this time was the best. Not only the quality of hair/makeup, but the quick response time, the professionalism, and Sona's lovely personality. Her and her team are definitely 5 star!!! Book this vendor!!!

Great experience

Sona, Jessica and Heather were all great! Sona responds very quickly and makes sure you are all set for appointments and what you need. She was so easy to work with, honestly it made the process so smooth. We had a few girls get their hair done along with myself, and I had a small tattoo covered up. Professional service, fast responses, great work.

Best MUA in las vegas!

Sona and her team were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the quality of her services! She is professional and PASSIONATE about her job, which is obvious when you see her work! She and Heather made my bridesmaids, my mother in law, mother and myself feel gorgeous and beautiful on my wedding. I 100% recommend her to all future brides!!

Hair & Make-Up for my 3-day wedding :-)

Fabulous and flawless!

Fabulous experience

Sona was fabulous to work with. I sent her pictures before hand of the look I was interested in which made the experience much easier knowing that she understood exactly what I wanted. Sona and Laura were great to work with. She was very responsive and answered all of my (many) questions. They were timely and professional and very sweet. We had 3 Bridesmaids, 2 Moms, and the bride getting hair and makeup and everyone looked great! I dont normally wear much makeup and wanted a very natural look and Sona worked with me to get the look I wanted and when one of the birdesmaids didnt love her hair Laura worked with her to get it right and it was perfect in the end. It was great to know that they wanted us to love the way we looked and worked with us to achieve that.

I really can't thank Sona's Make Up enough and Laura Sunflower Bella Maquillaje for my beautiful hair!!! I so worried about my hair & make-up the morning of my wedding. ? Sona and her team did a fabulous job on both my make-up and hair -do. I used Sona for two separate events I was attending during my stay in Las Vegas. First event was a bachelorette party and the second was my boyfriend's daughters wedding. For each event Sona created a look that worked terrific with my wardrobe and personal preferences. I must say I have never received so many compliments on my appearance EVER!! Thank you Sona!!
My appearance was so flawless I would not hesitate to utilize Sona in the future even if I have to fly her in to my events.

Sona was a breath of fresh air coming into our home and helping 5 girls prepare for my wedding. She was professional and personal with each of us, making sure to meet our wants and needs. Sona was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. She was gracious and flexible as we hired her last minute and she was able to accommodate the extra people and still stayed on schedule. My makeup was fantastic and she took the time to listen to what I wanted to look like on my big day. I used to model and am used to getting hair and makeup done and she is one of the best I have worked with. She does a great job with airbrush foundation and contouring while still maintaining a natural look that is perfect for bridal.

Let me start off by saying Sona was AMAZING! I am pretty critical when it comes to having my makeup done. Sona is beyond talented, she truly is a gifted artist. Sona took her time on all the ladies ~ all of whom looked spectacular with their own choice of makeup colors that complemented them . Aside from her amazing skills, Sona is such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Sona for any big event you may have. Trust me you will be very impressed with her services.

Sonia made me feel beautiful! I have cystic acne and she covered any zits or uneven pigmentation flawlessly. I did not feel cakey at all. It was a soft but sexy look.

Sona was big part of my wedding. I wanted someone flexible enough to stay for the entire day to do touch ups and help me switch looks throughout the day.

She did it all and I look so good. I have so many pictures and they are not all the same.

Sona was so fun to work with. She really listens!!! I wanted to most natural look " Bobby Brown look" and she made it happen. I looked just like one of his models.

I got married in May, and was very anxious about not doing a trial session prior to my wedding since I leave far but Sona showed up a little early to my hotel room, she really listened to my preferences and asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. She got everything done perfectly and in record time. Her prices are totally reasonable! I couldn't believe how everything turned out! THANK YOU SONA!!!

Sona did an AMAZING job on my makeup! She is very talented and a pleasure to work with! She was so kind and supportive the day of my wedding! My makeup looked absolutely perfect! I highly recommend her for anyone needing their makeup done!!

I have worked with Sona on a couple different occasions. I could always rely on her to fit me in, even when it has been last minute...thank you! She always made me look and feel beautiful for whatever celebration I was attending. Sona is truly talented. I will always refer her to my large network of friends.

SONA DID MY makeup FOR engagement pictures. I did lots of research on makeup artists in Las Vegas and I must say I am grateful sona'S name CAME UP. She was quick to get back to me with a formal proposal and very professional as well as fun.
My makeup was so flawless as she used airbrush. And my pictures look like cut out of vogue magazine.
Highly recommend.

I must say that this was one of my best experiences in beauty services. Sona has a way of making you feel comfortable and has an amazing professional attitude combining it with fun! She does not see you as 'just' a client and has great ideas and comments on how to improve your applications, makeup and basically anything about beauty tips! She rocks!!! I looked stunning after my visit to Sona and was able to have many great take aways!!

I very much enjoyed working with Sona for hair and makeup for my wedding. From our first phone call through the hair + makeup trial through the wedding itself Sona was professional, responsive, and very thorough in describing the process and asking questions about what I was looking for in hair and makeup. She was also very flexible on the day of in accommodating my now mother-in-law and an additional bridesmaid decided when they also wanted their hair and makeup done though they were not previously signed up for it.

She made sure each person got exactly the hair and makeup she wanted -- this ranged from a couple of bridesmaids who wear makeup regularly to my mother who hasn't worn makeup in about 3 decades! My mother looked beautiful and was so happy with how she looked. I also loved the way I looked myself on my wedding. When the words "luminous" and "radiant" were used to describe me I could hardly believe it. I would recommend Sona for looking your best on your big day!

Sonia does wonderful work and was fast and friendly. I felt beautiful and flawless with her airbrush make up. Best I've ever looked in my life and for such a special occasion it was truely unforgettable!

As an older woman, I was uncertain if Sona could make me look pretty without making me look too made up. I shouldn't have worried. Sona is not only an extremely knowledgeable and competent professional, she is also so warm and empathetic; she knew right away what to use on my older skin. Everything, my eyes, brows, skin, lips were truly perfect. My husband of many years said I looked just like I did when we first married, but even better. My mirror said the same thing.
I would recommend Sona to absolutely anyone who wants to look their best. I've seen some of the brides she has done, and they are fabulous. I think she can make everyone look their best.

Sona and Courtney did my makeup and hair on my wedding day and I couldn't of been happier with the results! They were so professional and friendly. My hair and makeup were perfect, exactly as I wanted. I would highly recommend them for your special day!

Sona is a perfectionist and is an artist , the best at her craft. I would highly recommend her ! She is professional , sweet and calming when nerves are at their highest. She takes into consideration what you are comfortable with and works within your schedule and makeup preferences! I would highly recommend Sona for any makeup event. Not only was I pleased, but everyone who saw pictures or saw me at the wedding commented on how great my make up was applied and wanted her contact information.

They didn't have boudoir/beauty shoots but Sona has done makeup for a few photoshoots and i absolutely LOVE her! the makeup is perfect to not only what i'm looking for, but the client has always been beyond happy! i even had her do my makeup for a self-portrait shoot and i'd love to use her every time! always friendly, professional, and does an amazing job!

Sona did an amazing job on not only me but 2 others in our party as well. We will most definitely be using her again on our next trip out to Vegas. I totally recommend her as I was so impressed with her knowledge and style.

I am not Vegas Local and I loved working with Sona's Makeup. Sonia was very flexible and helpful.
My Makeup looked so good. I had no idea i could look this good as I never put any makeup on.
Also her prices are much lower than anyone around as I have done my homework :-).
I would recommend Sonia and her team to everyone...

Right on time

I felt like a princess on my wedding day... And that is really hard to achieve. 😂

It was just us two, me and the groom since we came from Slovenia. We had some troubles with deposit payment through WW since they don't acceppt international credit cards. But Sona was very supportive and took a leap of faith. I was nervous and scared *what if they don't show up" but she and Jessica came right on time.

Both girls helped made my day. Thank you for the makeup and hair do.

Sona Cox and her hairstylist Laura Ulloa are wizards! I hired them to do HMU for myself, my mom, and my MIL and we had lots of fun working with them. I don't wear makeup very often and don't know a lot about it, and Sona worked patiently with me to come up with a beautiful, classic look and then executed it perfectly. I looked like a movie star! My mom, who does wear full face every day, normally sticks to demure pinks and pastels but let Sona get a little daring and loved the result -- she looked awesome rocking false eyelashes and metallic green eyeliner that matched her dress! As for hairstyles, I'd had a really tough time finding things I liked that would work with my hair (medium length, wavy/frizzy, super thick) and my face shape, and after tearing apart the internet, I had found literally 3 pictures I liked and still wasn't 100% sure about any of them. Laura took one look at them and then took features from all of them and made my hair AWESOME. It stayed put without moving at all for 8+ hours and only started to fall down after an hour of hard dancing -- and it STILL looked good even after it started falling -- AND still looked good the next day after I brushed it out! I couldn't believe it. Even my persnickety MIL loved her hair -- she'd gone to her usual stylist at home for a trial, Laura looked at the pictures from that and made it even better. Outstanding work from both of these ladies!!

Sona did my makeup for my wedding and she did an awesome job! I looked and felt beautiful! My makeup held up throughout the day and into the night but never felt heavy. She also did makeup for my mother and two bridesmaids and we were all done on schedule. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a professional makeup artist.
