Amazing team!
I can not express how thankful I am for this team!!! Our videographers captured our day perfectly and it shows in the films! They were on time not only for the day of, but for the finished films and they will make you cry! The whole team is super responsive and made it extremely easy to get exactly what you want for your big day with their communication! I highly recommend using them!!! Extremely professional!!
We have not yet received our wedding video yet as we only got married 9 days ago, but I can tell you that this company is extremely professional! I knew they were there all day and night, but you never saw them, they obtained so much footage without being intrusive or in anyone's way! They were incredible!
We wil make sure to update our review or do another one once we receive our wedding video, but I have no worries as there work is beautiful!

As I rewatch my wedding film for the millionth time, I can't recommend this team enough. They were so easy to work with and SO quick with delivering the final product! The day was such a blur and being able to look back on this video is something I will always cherish.

Wedding 11/3/22
My wedding was on 11/3/2022, and I am so grateful to have had Something New Media to record video footage. I was on the fence about whether or not to invest in videography, but after seeing sample videos from the website, I knew we had to take the plunge. It will probably be a little while before we get our finished products, but I have no doubt in my mind that it’s going to be pure gold. I believe the names of the cinematographers were James and Cody (forgive me if I remembered incorrectly!) and they were so down to earth and easy to be around. Quite honestly, I ended up forgetting that they were even holding cameras! Thank you so much, and Sam and I cannot wait to see what you come up with!

Literally the best experience I have ever had
We booked a media company to cover our wedding specifically because we wanted to make sure photos weren't all we had to remember our perfect day. I found Something New Media through a sorority sister when she used them for her wedding years back. I loved their style and the fact that the highlight videos featured on their website are all different and geared toward the couple's preferences. When we booked them we thought we would be getting a couple of videographers to document our wedding day and provide us with a beautiful highlight reel and footage to look back on but what we got was so much better. Our two specific videographers were James and Kody and I cannot even find the words to describe how perfect they were for our group. We barely knew they were there the whole day and if we did know they were there, it was because they were having fun with us. Everyone in our bridal party was thrilled to have them there and dozens of guests at the wedding commented on how much fun they looked like they were having the entire time. We haven't gotten our highlight reel yet but I received a few clips that I had requested to look at ahead of time and I already know that the result is going to be amazing. 100000% recommend booking Something New Media for your wedding. Even after the event, Lori with the editing team reached out almost immediately to clarify some of my comments on the questionnaire for the highlight video. I had asked her about some specific parts of the night being in the video and she, within a few days, was able to send me those specific film clips for me to pick the few seconds of those clips that I wanted included in the video. Booking them was one of the best decisions we made in our planning process.

We decided last minute to book a videographer for our wedding, and our wedding planners (Laki Events) recommended Something New Media.
Their recommendation, and our decision to book turned out to be the best idea we had. Something New Media (specifically Mike, who shot our wedding) was incredible to work with. Mike made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, had a great eye & vision, and knew exactly what to capture and when. The video turned out amazing, and we're so glad to have been able to capture our ceremony & evening on video. Thank you Something New Media!

Fantastic!
Loved working with Something New Media! Originally we booked prior to COVID for our 2020 wedding and they were so wonderful and understanding when we needed to postpone and reschedule to 2021. Our videographer Dakota worked in unison with our photographer and was very easy to work with and gave us great direction. Our films were delivered to us so fast and we love them! All of our favorite moments are captured. Such a wonderful way to remember our special day - we will cherish them forever. I would recommend working with Something New Media to anyone for their wedding.

We are so glad we hired Something New Media!
Choosing a videographer was one of our more difficult wedding planning decisions, and we could not have been happier with our decision. We absolutely loved our videos, and they arrived in great time (2 months after our wedding)! We did one of the smaller packages and still felt like a 5-minute highlight offered more than enough time to capture the joy and emotion of our wedding day—especially with the ceremony and toast footage. Our videographer was excellent and efficient on the day of and made us feel so comfortable, and Andi and the editing team were wonderful to work with as well. There were tiny things we wished we’d thought to ask for (like no video of our guests during the toasts, only of the two of us) and minor glitches in the toast audio quality, but overall, the whole experience and content exceeded our expectations. We’ll treasure these videos for the rest of our lives!

The best keepsake, do not skip out on Video. Especially with Something New Media!
Something New Media's packages are all very reasonable, but we went with the middle package (I don't remember the name). We also included live-streaming (So worth it!! Do this even after Covid for family members that just can't attend. The live-stream also remains online, so we were able to watch the ceremony the week after the wedding and didn't have to wait for the edited videos) and drone coverage. The amount of videos you get for the price is just insane. We received four edited videos as well as the raw footage, and it was all BEAUTIFUL. I've watched the highlight video no less than 10 times in the last week. My MIL called me to say she had done the same. As a whole, I love our photos from our wedding. But the Video just captures so much of the day that wouldn't be captured with photo alone. If you are on the fence about investing in video, please please make the investment. You will not regret it. And when it comes to vendors, Something New Media was timely, professional, and their videographers and editers are so so talented. Go with them. You will not regret anything.
Side note: They were also super flexible about payment due to covid. So, if you are worried about deposits during this very uncertain time, let them know and they will work with you.
I can't say enough good things about SNM. Just hire them.

Beautiful video to capture our special day
The whole proceeds working with Something New Media was really easy and the final product was better than I could have imagined! I provided video examples that I liked before our wedding and the videographers and editors did a great job of incorporating audio from our vows, from letters to each other, as well as other toasts from our wedding night into the final product with great music. Looooove their work!
Their team was sooo amazing during the planning process but also on the wedding day. The planning process was made so easy and fun! The wedding day came and they were so friendly and walked us through everything if they wanted a specific shot. Once we got our wedding video back, I felt like I was reliving the day. I can't tell you how many times I have seen it already!! I also got all the raw footage taken that day, a 1 minute length video for social media and everyone on a flash drive delivered to my home. 10/10 would recommend!! Thank you for everything!!

I am not calm
From the beginning of meeting Vivienne via phone, to the videographers in person, to the final deliverables via email from Sabrina, I am blown away by this company. I'm going to recommend them to ALL of my not-yet-married Arizona friends. Their work is art. They know how to be "invisible" on wedding day while still capturing everything. We had killer photographers, but even they didn't get some of the shots I was stunned to discover from this video team. I gave them a crazy dream "shot list" and director-ish script of my ideal video before the big day. I have no idea what I wrote on that thing, because what they gave me is GORGEOUS and everything I could have wanted included. So many amazing moments from the most amazing day... even my dog! They captured the most important people (close family) and the most important moments. And get this... they helped us secure permissions from a privately licensed music artist to use their music in the video!!! AHHHH! I love it, I love it, I can't stop watching it. Chicago Jewish Wedding
I am SO glad I found Something New. I wanted one of those movie quality highlight films for my wedding, but I found the videographers in the Chicago area to be either old school or extremely expensive. I found Something New on my own through an online search, which was a little risky since nobody I knew had used them. They took the time to meet my mom and me at our house and conduct follow up phone calls as well in order to make sure I felt comfortable. They were so patient through this before I even booked! Once we booked, it was very organized. I filled out questionnaires of important moments in our wedding and overall style. On the wedding day, our two videographers were great. What I liked was that they cooperated well with our photographers (no divas here :)) and were never in our face! It was like they were never there, which was nice since I hate when video/photo is in your face at a wedding. After the wedding, Sabrina was in touch with us for the development of the film. She surprised us with a sneak peak video that we saw on our honeymoon! Then we got the draft of the 8 min highlight film. I emailed Sabrina probably 5 or 6 times with all kinds of little edits. For example, I didn't like how I looked in one 2 seconds part, but they were so kind in taking care of it for me so that it was perfect. Our video is incredible. It features two of my favorite One Republic and in the middle, our ceremony is featured with the words of our rabbi. The production is amazing - there's one point where we are doing the horah (traditional Jewish chair dance) and the way the music times with the video footage warms my heart. In the past I didn't see a ton of Jewish weddings that Something New did, but they caught all the traditional parts for us perfectly (ketubah, chupah, etc). My sister is getting married NYE this year and we didn't hesitate in booking this incredible company. I can't say enough good things. This company is ethical, hard working, and creative geniuses!!! Something New Media is very affordable and were very professional! Our video turned out so amazingly, and when I asked if they could make a small modification to our highlight film, they said no problem and the very next day had made the adjustment! Everyone that we had dealt with in the company were very friendly, knowledgeable, and responded very quickly to all of my questions. Devin was fantastic to work with. Exactly the type of guy you want leading your wedding. From the first time we met him, you could tell he had a bravado about him that made him a natural leader for the ceremony. His work was fantastic, he kept everyone on track throughout the wedding, and he generally made the day much easier for the two of us. On top of all that, he was very affordable in comparison to other photographers we looked at. I cannot recommend him enough. He and his team did fantastic work.

Beyond Worth It
Vivienne was so easy to work with to get all the information and our vision for what we wanted. We were a little on the fence about having a videographer, but we are so happy we did! Our highlight reel was beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of. Working with the guys the day of our wedding was so easy too. No one ever felt like these two people with their cameras were in the way, and they were literally the nicest guys. Pricing was wayyy better with Something New Media, and we definitely got more in our package with our price than what other vendors were quoting us. We are so happy!

Beautiful!
We were having a very small intimate (surprise) wedding and I was looking for videographers that was affordable (especially because it was a very small wedding). I saw a video that a friend posted on Facebook and I fell in love with everything about it! I spoke with Kendyl and she was very professional and friendly. She was really excited for us and she made sure she knew everything we were envisioning for our video. We communicated with each other via email and telephone because they are based in Arizona and we are from Chicago. She was very quick with answering all of our questions and concerns. We sent over our time line and that information was given to the cameraman. Brian was the cameraman and he was amazing, he was able to get a lot of great footage and he was very pleasant to work with! A few months later we received our video and we were blown away by the editing and how our vision came together! We didn't have to request any changes! I loved everything about this business and would recommend their services to anyone! You will not be disappointed!

Nothing short of amazing!
I was really hesitant about spending the money on both photo AND video however I wish now that I would have spent more on our video. The team of professionals at Something New was exactly what I didn't know I needed. The video makes me cry every time I watch it, my father unexpectedly passed away right after the wedding and to have the opportunity to hear my dad's speech again gives me goosebumps every time. I cannot thank this company enough for giving me these moments back. The pictures are beautiful and I'd recommend my photographer any day, but the video. The video is priceless and I only wish I would have gotten more coverage. My husband said afterwards, you only hire a professional videographer once in your life, this is the event to do it at. Choosing Something New Media, Sabrina and her team was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. Sabrina and Vivienne were always this calm reassuring voice that exuded experience like they had seen and heard everything we wanted and were doing thousands of times before, yet both took the time and were so genuine to make my wife and I feel as though our day was the only day and the only wedding they cared about. Both held our hand through the entire process from the day we decided on them through our wedding day, and then following up a month after with our beautifully edited film. They captured our day, our story, and our dream exactly as we had hoped. They managed to do this all while dealing with our share of changes, chaos and requests with nothing but professionalism. The videographers were timely and courteous the day of the wedding, coming early to introduce themselves, but staying out of the way and hidden during the ceremony, yet managing to capture all the special moments that continue to take our breath away weeks after the ceremony. My wife dreamed about our wedding since she was a child. I dreamed about our wedding since the day I met her. We can now both relive our wedding everyday the rest of our lives thanks to Something New Media!!
O yeah, highly recommend the next week social media trailer! Worth every penny..

Something New Media has been a dream come true. I am so thrilled that we decided to choose them! From inquiry to receiving my film, they made it easy and personable for my husband and I. I first want to thank Vivienne for talking me into choosing a bigger package than I was originally going to pick. I even now wish I had added on a few more hours to the end of my night. My videographer was so nice and professional. We barely even noticed him! When I spoke to Kendyl, who scheduled our videographer, about everything I wanted in my video, she had a great understanding of the style I was requesting and made sure we were satisfied with the music and the clips they used in the film. The girls there really made an effort to get to know me and check in on me before and after the wedding even when they didn't have to. From start to finish, Something New was incredible! To begin, I had a few calls with other videographers who were SO salesy. For my wedding, I wans't feeling it. I wanted someone who I could relate to, who knew my vision, and who could capture our special day. Not only did Something New understand me, but the videographer (Tyler), was AMAZING!! I have to say this, because it's a bonus in my eyes, my mom didn't even notice he was there! He captured ever single moment, was calm and easy to work with, and seriously didn't miss a beat. They are worth every penny. The team over at Something New Media are so accommodating and great at what they do. I didn't originally hire this company for my wedding. But after a mishap with my original videographer, I looked to Something New Media to take the footage from my wedding and create something magical. And it was just that, magical. We had friends come over to see what Something New Media made for us and they were literally in tears. If I am being honest, as a bride, that is the exact reaction you want! haha
I can't thank them enough for making our video so special and working extra hard on fixing damaged audio. I can't imagine how perfect our film would be if I hired them from the start. Don't make my mistake - HIRE THIS COMPANY!

We almost didn't hire a videographer. If any part of you kind of wants one, you absolutely should. I think a lot of people are afraid of what they might look like on film but the pros at Something New Media clearly know how to show your best self and the editing is top notch. Side note: bad editing can make good cinematography look amateur. It takes a team and they are very art focused which makes for a true film look. It's very evident in all facets of their business that they "Get. It". They aren't doing something that was popular 15 years ago, they know what's on trend now and their approach reflects that. It was also really easy to work with them on our exact package. They give you the info and explain things well without being pushy. You can add and change and that was key. They knew how to keep the experience really positive.
Our cinematographer Brandan was awesome. He gave a little direction to make sure we looked good and was a fantastic fly on the wall capturing the moments behind the photographer. He did a great job getting some Chicago B roll that we were totally unaware of at the time. He was also helpful behind the scenes when certain cords weren't working with our own equipment for music. He didn't have to help but he did.
We had a phone meeting before our wedding to discuss our wishes and top moments and details to focus on. This was great because Brandan was clearly briefed. I made my own wedding dress and wanted to be sure I had some detail shots. Of course I wasn't thinking of that day of, but he stopped me and made sure to capture it.
I worked with Katie on the editing and I am beyond grateful for all her creative efforts. She's really talented at piecing clips together and placing the audio. I had a lot of requests and she was so pleasant and wonderful to work with the whole time.
She was able to make adjustments where I wanted and made our vision a reality.

Working with the team at something New Media was an overall great experience. Our next day wedding trailer absolutely blew us away, what a terrific way to get an instant recap of your wedding day, as I’m sure many brides agree it’s a whirlwind of a day and hard to remember every detail. We were so pleased with our full length video as well. My husband and I were originally worried about shooting the individual wedding day interviews as we thought we’d be too rushed for time or not say the right thing. I am so glad that the team reassured me it would be amazing. And it was! Literally the best part of our video was watching our interviews. I can't say enough great things about Something New Media and the videographer James Kelley that filmed our wedding. I was married recently on September 22 at The Windmill Winery. The company was awesome at explaining each step to my husband and I and once we were assigned a videographer, James was very responsive. He was punctual, friendly, and we all barely knew he was there. Our wedding film came out better than we could ever hope for and it is a memory we will cherish forever. If you are reading this and still thinking about adding video - just do it! If you are reading this trying to decide between video companies, stop looking! Yesterday, we got the trailer for my daughter's wedding on last Saturday, and we were blown away - seriously, it's not a video. It's a film, like what you would see in the theater to preview an upcoming attraction. Cue up the tears and pass the tissues.
Joe Ryan arrived early and battled the historic rain (most rainfall since they starting keeping records) side by side with us. He reassured us multiple times that we had this, that the film would be great - to just stop worrying and enjoy ourselves. He's great fun and kept things moving along! Robert Gaona joined us at our first outdoor shoot under a bridge (we were determined to take outdoor shots and had our umbrellas, rain boots, and clear plastic tarps) and he walked up and started working. These guys are pros!
When we started the wedding planning process, we had prioritized a wedding video. While photos are great - I realized that after 28 years of marriage, we didn't have any displayed in our home. We store memories as images and moving images are best. We love watching our wedding video because many of the people in it are no longer with us, including my father and my husband's parents. To watch them enjoy one of the happiest days in our lives is an amazing gift.
Of special note: during the ceremony we had what can only be described as a once in a lifetime moment. It involved a loud clap of thunder and the groom's reaction: it's forever captured on film. Do what you must to reallocate your budget and hire Something New Media to immortalize your day.

I could not have asked for a better experience with Something New Media. From the very beginning, they catered to our needs and made sure we picked the right package within our budget. They were very flexible when I had changes to the timeline. Our two cinematographers for the day were the BEST! They fit right in with our group and made the experience that much better. It rained the ENTIRE day and they rolled with the punches and made suggestions for possible outdoor places to go. It turned what could have been disastrous in to something fun.
We received our video before they estimated (always a plus!). I had a few changes and they made them immediately. The heirloom wooden container that we received as a part of the package was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to the entire team for your work!

We ended up choosing Something New Media to be the videographer for our big day due to the reviews of other couples and the amazing footage we saw on The Knot. We absolutely loved the work we saw. The communication up to the day of was great - the response time was quick and all of our questions were answered. A couple months prior to wedding day I had an hour long talk about the ends and outs of wedding day and what we wished the focus to be of our video. The talk was thorough and I felt good about entrusting them with our big day. On the day of our videographer was so much fun... he worked well with my other vendors and was hardly seen. He was never in the way yet still got all of the most perfect footage. After receiving our video back - we did find a couple of things that we wanted to change (only for personal preference - nothing quality wise needed to be updated). We were very specific in our changes and every single one on our list was accommodated within a matter of days we had our video back with the edits and we could not be happier with the final product. I couldn't be happier to give a RAVE review for this team. We had a small wedding in Chicago, and from day one I felt that Something New Media was going to be wonderful to work with.
Quality of Service - I was blown away by SNM's work, as were my friends and family. There were only 5 of us at the wedding, so it was important to me that we captured the day in order to share it with the rest of the people in our lives. Everyone who has seen our video and photos says they truly felt like they were there that day. Devin and Ryan caught the true essence of who we are as a couple. We've watched our video over and over, and can't stop looking at our photos; makes us cry every time we do!
Responsiveness and Professionalism - I'm looping these two together because all of my quick and easy communication with SNM was not only professional, but so friendly and comfortable. They asked us lots of questions so they could understand what we specifically wanted to capture, and were genuinely excited to work with us.
Value - Any couple knows how expensive wedding photos and videos can be. When I was searching for my vendors, I found myself frustrated by the price vs quality. I could get a really cheap photographer and videographer, but it was clear that the final product wouldn't be as nice as I wanted it to be. Then I found SNM. I feel that they are EXTREMELY fair in their pricing, and the work does not suffer because of it. Thank you SNM for being so great regarding Value!
Flexibility - Ryan and Devin were so flexible with us and our schedule. They even offered to stay a bit longer in case we needed any other shots. They were just so easy to work with and so go with the flow.

I loved working with Something New Media. Originally I wasn't going to hire a cinematographer for our wedding because I thought I would be okay with pictures alone... don't make that mistake. I am absolutely in love with our wedding film and I am so happy that I made the choice to hire them. They were so easy to work with; I came across James at a bridal show and I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and his (and the rest of the team's) work. They keep you updated every step of the way, and it's JUST ENOUGH communication (not too little not too much). Something New Media deserves 10 stars for their work on our wedding film!! To start, they handled themselves with the utmost professionalism and organized multiple video conferences throughout the planning stages to make sure their style aligned with our vision. We were so impressed with their work that we decided to hire them for our wedding in San Diego and let me tell you, it was worth every penny 10 times over. The day of the wedding, they fit in perfectly and I had family members tell me they did not even notice them at all throughout the day. They directed us for specific shoots so effortlessly all while capturing every special candid moment that made for the most incredible wedding video I could have ever imagined. This wedding video is truly one of my most treasured possessions and hiring SNM was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. I was a very thorough bride when it came to vendors. I interviewed over 15 videographers so trust me when I tell you, if you are looking for an extremely professional, high end quality video, at an amazing value. Something new is the ONLY company. We searched a long time for videographers. We received a lot of recommendations but were never truly wowed until we stumbled into Something New Media. The trailers were very impressive and so we called to get a quote.
I kid you not, James flew out from Arizona to meet us in Chicago and plan our wedding video with us. He asked a lot of great questions, was super nice and professional and offered us a great price.
Day of the event they worked very well alongside our photographer. On time and never in the way. James and his team gave good instructions and really made us feel comfortable. Other than that we didn't notice they were there.
Moment of Truth! We received first our wedding video trailer (2 mins) then a longer video (8 mins) and finally we were sent our full wedding video in a nice package complete with a wedding album and multiple digital copies.
WOW! We were the first couple to hire Something New for a Chicago wedding and we were absolutely blown away by the videos. We posted the trailer to social media and our friends and family all said the same thing, "It looks like a Hollywood movie!". Obviously since then we've recommended them to everyone we know. We're very proud of the work they did for us.
On top of all this, I have to say, James never hesitated to answer the phone and patiently and politely answer any questions or requests I had. We've heard so many horror stories from friends of other videographers and we know how hard it can be to find someone who does everything so well from beginning to end.
We are so thankful to these guys for the incredible job they did and we love to see great businesses be rewarded for their great work. So honestly, do yourself a favor, hire these guys!

At first, I did not want a videographer for our wedding but after being convinced by family and friends, I decided to go for it. I looked through a few videographers websites and samples and absolutely fell in love with the cinematography Something New Media uses in their wedding videos. I couldn't stop watching their videos and probably spent hours on their website. I knew that if I couldn't stop watching other people's wedding videos, than I had to have them for my own wedding!

Something new media captured our special day on Valentine's Day 2015 and I've heard so many people say why do you spend so much money on a wedding video you watch one I watch ours probably twice a month. They captured everything so perfectly. In the middle of wedding planning our son was diagnosed with a Neuro muscular disease and they captured those emotions as well and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Something New Media was great and easy to work with. We ended up upgrading our package to include 2 videographers and the ceremony and speech audio. I would recommend this package. It's very special to be able to hear bits of the ceremony while watching the footage of the day. We used 2 videographers the day of, Dallas and Michael. We stagger started them so we were able to get coverage of getting ready and of the grand exit. Dallas and Michael were such a blast to have at the wedding! We remember them dancing with us a bit on the dance floor and we felt like they were celebrating our wedding day with us. Both of the videographers worked very well with Drew Brashler, our photographer. This collaboration was very important to us and the video just turned out way beyond our expectations. We are still watching through and thoroughly enjoying raw footage that they gave to us in addition to the flawlessly edited video. I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience and product we received when working with Something New Media!

From the moment we first met Something New Media in their basement office we knew it was the fit for us. Watching their videos on an Xbox and listening to Devon's passion was incredible. My husband and I both felt right at home! Not only are these guys laid back, chill, and bold but they are SO incredibly talented!! Somehow their videos capture the love and emotion of the wedding day and yet their videos are the farthest things from being cheesy. They were efficient, on time, and completely professional at our wedding. Our two cameramen were "flies on the wall" and somehow captured everything. The next day trailer was beautiful and well worth the price. My husband and I were crying in Hawaii reliving the best day of our lives that had just happened! If a picture is worth a thousand words, Something New Media's videos are worth a lifetime. Truly one of the best investments in our wedding. We will always cherish our videos and can't wait to see the final product!! :)

My husband and I wanted to have our wedding day be a memory we could look back on as a time capsule, of us and also our family & friends. When we started doing research on different videographers, Something New Media popped up and had great reviews. I called for more information and scheduled a meeting! When my husband and I got there, it wasn't a 'typical' wedding meeting, as you do with so many vendors. Devin (the owner) was very gracious and inviting into their space and asked if we wanted a drink. It was very casual, which we both liked. Devin went over pricing and all that, but more importantly, he wanted to know about my husband and I. What we enjoyed, what we were looking to capture in film. I felt he really listened to what we wanted. They were exactly what Devin said they would be on our wedding day- a fly on the wall. :) Not only did he capture everything we wished to see, he also offered suggestions on poses and ways in which to engage the camera to make a better shot. What girl doesn't like that? We got the film about 2 months after the wedding. The timing was appropriate for what they created and it was so exciting to re-live it all! If you are considering doing a film for your wedding- do it. If you are looking for a team of individuals that are professional, dedicated, engaging, honest and creative to capture your true selves on your big day- call Something New Media! You will be so happy with your decision!

My husband and I were interested in filming our wedding day and didn't really know where to start! So after doing a little research online, we reached out to Something New Media because they had good reviews and cute films. After meeting with Devin the owner, we knew we were going to be in good hands. He seemed genuinely interested in what Aaron and I were looking to capture. He listened to our requests and showed us different options on what they could film for our big day. I loved the fact that they offered androids to shoot on location day of, and that they could match music of our choice to the film. They came out to our venue two weeks before to ensure they knew where we wanted to film our first look. I really liked that aspect. Their films are all professionally done, with great editing and audio added in. Devin and his other film colleague Jack were literal flies on the wall on our wedding day. He made sure to capture the most important moments, along with the little discreet ones you don't think to capture. We received our film a little under two months after the wedding. Not only did we get 3 DVD's of the wedding film, toasts and ceremony, we also got all of the raw footage of our wedding day. We are still watching it all! If you are looking for someone that is professional, prompt, creative and dedicated- look no further. Devin- Aaron and I can't thank you enough for capturing our day, making it into the cutest film ever, and for taking as much time with us as you did to make every moment of it a special one. Something New Media was the first wedding vendor my husband and I booked (after the venue) because we fell in love with their work from the get go. Their wedding videos are truly a work of art, and we were so excited to see our wedding day captured by them. I think their work speaks for itself, so I won't say anything further about it.
When we met with Something New Media to discuss booking, we ended up chatting for an hour and felt like we were hanging out with friends. They are so friendly, welcoming and professional and were a joy to work with. They were also incredibly flexible from the start. We wanted their highlight reel that they are known for, but we also wanted full versions of our ceremony and toasts. They worked with us to add a sound package and gave us those two sections edited on our Blu-ray as well as our highlight reel. They always responded to our emails very quickly and were very helpful and communicative. They asked us a bunch of questions about the theme of our wedding and what we were looking for before editing our wedding film so they were sure to capture it perfectly. There were some communication glitches about the final edits but Devin more than made up for any small inconvenience this created. Our final Blu-rays were absolutely perfect and were exactly what we wanted.
We ended up having James as our videographer, who worked really well with our photographers and was able to capture the entire day without being in the way of our guests. He was pleasant and professional and we were very happy with his work. You couldn't even tell there was only on videographer there. We loved Something New Media and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Something New is a girl's wedding day dream. Such kind gentlemen, they were on location before the bride even arrived! They were so polite in working with our two photographers and four people trying to all do the same job to get the shot and dancing around one another is no picnic.
I was a bride who was on the end about getting videography of our day, I thought pictures would be more than enough to capture it all but folks, GET VIDEO, and even better, book something new. You are going to be so busy worrying about everything else, the day will be such a blur. But when you go back and watch your wedding film, your going to get to see how beautiful everything really tuned out. (I almost enjoyed the day more from behind the lens of cameras, because I can't remember much before sitting down to eat!)
They also let us know that they weren't there just for taking video, they were there for us. If we needed them to bring something to location, bottles of water, to pick something up, they'd go out of their way to help in any way possible.
I can say that I was worried about a lot of things on my wedding day (our pastor who we’d been seeing for five months of pre-marital classes quit the church a week before our wedding and didn't tell us, our DJ also had to be switched two days before, and our cake vendor got our wedding cake flavors wrong!) but not once did I worry about the wedding video, because I knew I could trust Jake and Devin completely to capture our day beautifully, and as expected, that's exactly what we received. Money oh-so well spent. I highly recommend Something New Media to capture all those special moments, they'll get all the important things for you (My photographer didn't capture the face on my husband when he first saw me in my dress at our first look, which was my favorite memory from the entire day, I was heartbroken until I got the wedding film and saw that Jake and Devin did capture it, I'll cherish that moment forever, thank you guys!)

Our experience with Something New Media for our wedding was absolutely wonderful. From the first time I met Devin over margaritas to discuss my wedding and what I wanted out of the video I knew he was really listening to what I was looking for.
The day of the wedding, he and his assistant Christina were super respectful throughout the day asking everyone if they were comfortable with what they were filming all while capturing every important moment.
On top of all that, when I told Devin we were leaving for our honeymoon two days after the wedding, he rushed to put together our trailer the very next day so that we could see it before we left. The trailer and the wedding film were so perfectly edited, the music he picked was dead on for the mood of the day, and overall the film captured our day exactly the way I remember it. I have watched both films more times than I will admit here... :)
I would highly recommend Devin and his team to anyone of my friends or family looking for a great videographer!

My daughter, future son-in-law and I interviewed two other local videographers and we're not impressed... then we met Devin Berko and we were so impressed with Devin and his work. My children were very comfortable talking with Devin and sharing what type of video they were looking for.

Devin and the Something New team were so awesome! From questions about videography to photography to simple needs the day of like cutting tags Devin was there in a flash to help out! His knowledge and skills as a videographer are top notch! We have yet to see our whole video, but our sneak peek blew us and all of our friends out of the water! My husband and I were looking for a videographer to capture our wedding for awhile and after reserving someone else (not SNM) were told that he was not in town that weekend of our wedding and then had to search for someone else. A friend of ours posted her wedding video online and i saw it, fell in love and immediately told my husband, we are booking them now! We spoke through email and over the phone. Once the wedding came closer, we met with them and couldnt wait to see what Something New Media (Devan) would capture for us. During our wedding, it was like he wasnt even there. Not even a month later, we got our dvd's in the mail and watched it. We love the way it came out and i couldnt have asked for a better video! My wife and I used Something New Media for our wedding. We looked them up online and liked their style pretty well. We haven't yet gotten our final copy of the wedding video (as of August 11, 2014), but that's entirely expected as they have upwards of 20 hours to go through in order to make the video for us.
What we DO have so far is amazing. A couple of clips of raw footage and the promotional video (like a trailer) are both shot extremely well, and the trailer is well edited to boot.

In planning my wedding I initially didn't think I needed a video. With a background in the photography industry and having numerous photographer friends to choose from to photograph my wedding I thought that would be enough to capture the day's events. I also had in my mind this old-fashioned view of wedding videography. I had memories of awkward speeches made while passing the microphone around to each guest at the reception. This all changed when I met Something New Media at a wedding event. Their wedding video display was exactly what I wanted but just didn't know it until then. It was 2 months before my wedding so I made a last minute decision to hire Something New Media and I am so happy I did. The final video was more than I had envisioned. He captured every moment and even focused on the tiny details that only someone like me (a perfectionist) would notice. There are moments on the video where I didn't even know he was there (and that is a good thing). Devin has a creative vision and pulls it off beautifully in the final product. I would absolutely without a doubt recommend Something New Media. Too bad I don't have the funds to renew my vows every year because I would love to have a new video every year from Something New Media (maybe if we win the lotto!)
